Im more than happy to change to a 5 star review if the service and professionalism improves here, but I go mostly for the karaoke nights alone as people I met there like the more unique songs I do, and while Im sitting in the corner alone, none of the servers come and ask me if Id like to order anything the way they do others, but instead make passive aggressive remarks behind my back about me coming in never ordering anything, which is not true, I have ordered drinks before on slower nights, but it seems that when its really busy, it seems the bartenders want a little more bang for their buck than someone who when ordering 2 drinks for himself, a 15% tip would be barely over a dollar, so if the owner wants to come outside and yell at me for not buying any drinks, I told him that was fine, Id buy one, but I didnt leave a tip when being told that way when I was never approached in there by any of the servers coming by giving drinks to other people asking how they could help, so it seemed just one guy taking up a small unused corner table in between performances in which participating in itself and entertaining others is part of what keeps them coming back and buying drinks was not all that important. If the expectation is that I have to walk to the bar to get my drinks when theyre being delivered to other tables, it wasnt made clear.However, Im a very reasonable person that wants to support a business that provides this extra service, so Im happy to change my review with an improvement next visit, but it was kind of rude the way I was asked.

This place is only getting one start so that I can write this review. Racial slurs are used freely here. If you are a person of color this is not a safe space. My sister and I went and were made to feel very uncomfortable by the regulars, and the DJ due to the heavy use of racial slurs.

This is in response to the review about racial slurs being used. I’m Tayler’s sister. We went for the first time on May 10th around 10:30. To clarify, the racial slur was used in the lyrics to a song a regular patron chose to sing. When we asked another regular we’d been talking to before and the person about the use of the word it seemed to be a problem only because we said we were uncomfortable, while also using dismissive language to explain things away. The MC also noted (aggressively I might add) that he’s tired of people having a problem with someone singing a song as it’s written and if we are upset we should write a letter to who wrote it. There were other patrons who sung songs with slurs in the lyrics and chose to skip over them. As Black women we are very uncomfortable going to a place where these types of words are used so freely and will not be back because of this.

We really had a great time here last Saturday night! The karaoke DJ was a lot of fun and the drinks were fantastic. I had my first pickle back shot which was surprisingly tasty. The bartenders were very friendly and fast.

Someone calling himself the property manager having a beer at the patio of PEKERS Bar tried stopping me from parking in the lot. I was going to the Dominos next door. I dont like the harassment and language that they are trying to keep the lot clean. Excuse me

I tried Karaoke at pekers but their own staff kept going. They had the same people Karaoking over and over. Nobody had a chance after an hour or so.

The bartenders and owners are very friendly. Same with both the Karaoke DJs. Awesome crowd. Havent had any issues since I started going. You want a place that is laid back, go to Pekers. You wont be disappointed.

I love Pekers so much. Thru the day its a nice unassuming quiet pub. It doesnt take long for it to heat up with some red-hot volcanic excitement

I ordered from them on Uber Eats. It has this address listed, under a different name, but its clearly this place. It says a 10-25 minute wait time, but I had to get uber to cancel my order 10 minutes from 2 hours after I ordered because it never showed up and never gave me any more information about the delivery. When I called the store, they never answered. Waiting 2 hours is unacceptable by any standards. They also list their hours as open until 5 online, but on Google is says 2. Regardless, I ordered at 11:55 and had it canceled at 1:45. Do better.

This is a low-key little bar that I love going to. Everyone that is there is so friendly and easy to strike a conversation with about really any subject. The drinks are very good and the staff is wonderful. My husband and I specially like Joey as hes so easy going and a great bartender. Always look forward to go to this bar.

Great local friendly neighborhood gay bar where the regulars hang out. Less expensive drinks than the “strip,” and karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights.

My own personal Cheers! I feel like a local celeb when I walk in. The bar tenders are all amazing, the owners are some of the most wonderful people I know and the regulars make it what it is. This is the best little dive bar hidden in Dallas! I love my little spot!

Fun little local bar, everyone is always smiling, friendly and having a good time. Gets a good Karaoke and ever has a pool table! Worth a visit or three!!

Being visiting Dallas for while, visited other bars around the area, but this one takes all five stars, due to many facts from the friendly staff, to the kind of peers visiting this place... believe me it’s like no other, I highly recommend this place if you want to have a nice time, if you are single or couple very respectful people there.. I love it and thank you again for the greatest service

Great neighborhood bar, very relaxed vibe. Was in town for business and wanted to get away from the hotel. Reminds me of my local hangout in Houston. If you want a relaxed place for drinks this bar is for you.

I had rated the bar at five stars but after visiting on Friday I have to change it to two for a vodka mule of $10 this is the same price I paid at four star restaurants I was charged almost 6 dollars for the ginger beer which may have had a quarter cup The bartenders on the other nights are great I don’t know what’s going on but when you walk in a bar on a Friday night at 11 o’clock and it’s empty maybe They should think about the drink prices again bartenders and environment is relaxing from the drug riddled cedar springs strip But that doesn’t constitute $10 per single drink I was starting to love this bar But due to due to over charge tonight will be my last time here

So fun!! You can hear and be heard. Drinks were a steal and we drink top shelf only. RON had me rolling with his dirty jokes. Maybe my new hangout!!

This bar Ive been to a couple times. Its very chill it has karaoke. You can even buy takeout and eat there if you like. 🙂

Ya’ll the smell in here. . .the popcorn is there to cover up the stench of gym socks and unkempt body parts. I am assuming this is purgatory considering the all the old lost souls that park themselves there. If you are looking for a dive bar, try grapevine or Alexandre’s.

This is a low key and fun place. I dont go often but always have a good experience. Its a gay bar with karaoke sometimes.

Im a big fan of karaoke and strong drinks, and Pekers has both. Make sure to tip your KJ, because they have to listen to you howling like a cat.
