I had a massage here while on vacation. I booked an appointment online and for some reason the owner didn’t get the appointment so I had to call to reschedule to the afternoon. My appointment was for 2pm, not only was the owner 20 minutes (which she claimed to be in traffic) late to my appointment but during my massage the owner and massage therapist ( who actually was very good) were fussing back and forth about having the fan on or off. To make matters worse not only did I pay for the service and tip via Zelle to the owner, she also charged my credit card an additional $50. I’ve left messages and spoke with her, but to date my card hasn’t been reimbursed. I’m having to put in a dispute with my bank. I do not recommend this place at all! It was a complete headache.

My husband & I are on our honeymoon. A horrible experience for the both of us very disappointed with the service. When I spoke to Linda, I asked her several times that my husband & I wanted a couples massage in the same room. She promised us a massage in the sane room. In fact I asked her that wanted a female for & a female for my husband for the massage. We paid $220, she talked more than half the massage. She promised that my husband & I would have an hour each. But we got 10 minutes each & she talked for 50 minutes She only massaged our back. I am used to getting professional massage never had a terrible massage like this. It was really a terrible experience. The facility & Linda is a scam...they rip people off. I definitely dont recommend this place. Very disgusted & disappointed. My husband & I couldnt wait to get out of there. Whatever you do dont go to this place. Thanks to her my husband & I argued the whole time as newly weds because we got scammed.

I hope me and my girlfriend had a fantastic experience and she let us stay for longer than 30 minutes. I feel rested after an hour and a beautiful spa. The staff here is extremely sweet and I can’t wait to come back. I would recommend this place to anybody who does it it was a fantastic time.

I have gotten many massages from different places and never had any issues. I decided to try this place out because it had pretty good reviews and it was close to my job but BEWARE. This place is very unprofessional the people who give the massages not real licensed massage therapist one of the ladys who gave my friend a massage had long acrylic nails which is something I have never seen and I usually get massages once a month. They up charge you for things they dont end up doing like we asked for aromatherapy and they didnt do it another person in my party struggles with back pain and we asked for a deeper massage for her and she said she felt nothing. This place was so disappointing honesty your better off going to massage envy where they will only charge you $60 and give you a good massage. We ended up paying 150 for a bogus massage . I cannot stress this enough BEWARE IT IS NOT WORTH IT. If I could I would give them 0 stars

Linda was just amazing. She made it so relaxing and beautiful experience.I came for a 30 minutes massage and she gave me 1 hour how kind. Amazing experience fully recommended!.

I booked two foot detox at about 12 pm for a 4 pm appointment today. On our way to the appointment I got concerned about my husband having the detox because he has two knee replacements. I called and ask if this would be a problem. They said yes and tried very hard to substitute another service. He was not interested in anything else. I then really had no way to get to the place which was a 40 minute drive. They had not screened me when I called to make the appointment. If they had I would not have booked the appointments. They refused to provide a refund for one (mine) of the two appointments sighting their 24 hr cancelation policy. From my perspective they were remiss in not pre-screening us and I am due a full refund. 1/17/23 Update they have not charged me for either appointment so I upgraded them to two stars.

I really dont like to leave negative reviews because one persons experience isnt always reflective of an entire business, but Ive never experienced a massage session that comes close to this and I dont want other people to make the same mistake my husband and I did. I genuinely thought I was being punkd.Linda the owner was very pleasant upon arrival, asked us many questions and offered many different treatments. My husband asked for hot stone massages (as when we booked, we just selected a time for a 90 minute massage - there wasnt a follow up to ask what type of massage, though she had many upsells like parrafin and cbd ready when we arrived). She said hot stones werent available because they needed time to heat up.15 minutes after our scheduled appt time, we get started. I was led to a room with a few computers and a dresser, with a massage table in the middle. There was what sounded like an audio book playing that was then switched to loud instrumental music, not calming spa music. There were oscillating fans directed at the table, so I was quite cold but assumed theyd be turned off when service started.Linda started by smearing Lotion on my back (I truly cannot call it a rub or massage because it wasnt), and a few minutes in asked me if I was warm because she was hot. She said she was leaving the room to get water and came back with two warm wash cloths that she laid on my back until they were no longer warm, then wiped the Lotion off my back and rubbed the cold towels on my legs and feet.She resumed the Lotion smearing for the next hour plus, and made conversation (somewhat inappropriate) the entire time. I was unable to relax at any point during the massage because I was answering questions and feeling more stressed about the massage than anything else. She has long acrylic nails that she uses to tickle your skin often which is not a practice ive ever seen during a massage session. Throughout her conversation she mentioned many different services and attempted to upsell me to come every two weeks for her great massage, because I have degenerative discs. There was nothing performed during this time that was of any benefit to my condition, in fact I left with a headache and feeling more stressed than when I got there.When I told her we found her on Google and that we owned a digital marketing firm, she said she wanted to barter services so I could show her the ropes and she could give me the great massages I needed.My husband informed me that we were charged $390 dollars for our 90 minute massages (which included a eucalyptus oil add on, that really just made the room smell good), and he didnt even get a full massage. His massage therapist left early to pick up her child so he was transferred to a hydromassage, which he said was a waterbed with jets inside that was loud and uncomfortable, he turned it off early.I wish that I could say Im making any of this up, I genuinely do. But this was our unfortunate experience at this spa. Linda is a nice enough person but I would not recommend this business.

I was just going to skip leaving a review but this place is so gross I had to. I didnt know that when I booked a massage for my wife and I to celebrate her birthday. Now I have to book another to undo the stress this massage gave her.For starters, the prices on her website are 100% inaccurate and the entire time, she tried to upsell you. Paraffin glove this, CBD gummy that, essential oil add on, the list goes on..... but hot stones? nope... she didnt have any that were hot.The massage we received, which she denied our request for a deep tissue massage, was a hot towel massage where they just placed a very temporarily warm towel on your back until it turned Ice cold. Just in time for the owner, Linda, to walk into the massage room to tell me that the masseuse performing my massage was not going to be able to complete the entire massage as she needed to go home at 5 and we started late. This couldve been avoided if she didnt talk for the first 20 minutes when we got there about everything and anything we did not care about. Do you think she said, no worries, well refund you the overinflated 30 minutes I charged.? no. instead, she said well do your final 30 minutes in the hydro massage. (video would not upload)The hydro massage is a waterbed with pressure washers on the inside, located in the fat loss pod and weave room. Super not relaxing.Short story:Linda oversharesDoes not provide a relaxing environmentMassage is well below par (left more stressed than I got there)EXTREMELY overpriced

Linda was awesome, sweet, and intuitive. She offers a variety of different and unusual health promoting services. The massage was wonderful; the Chinese cupping left me feeling so clear and light; the paraffin gloves made my hands so soft. The laser light machine and collagen eye patches soothed and lifted small wrinkles; Then, I also received an eye-opening foot detox. Ive been renewed! Great service, great location, soothing, but also fun decor. Going back!

Ive had a great experience so far with A Center For Alternative Medicine and Spa. I will be getting ongoing deep tissue massage as part of a no fault insurance case. Linda, the owner, handled all the administrative details and my first massage with Joy was great! Looking forward to my weekly visits for this wonderful therapeutic care.

I was staying at the doubletree right next to the spa, I was in desperate need of a spa. I went over to this place and highly recommend it. It was clean, quiet, and peaceful. I had the pleasure of meeting Linda who took care of me and was extremely gentle. She made sure I was comfortable and was a perfectionist. I left there with eyebrows looking sharp and sweet. She also helped me with some blemish problems I was having. And did it work. Thank you for the service ! Highly recommend this place !!!!!!

We discovered this spa when we were staying at the Doubletree next door. We spoke with Linda who sold me on a wonderful experience at her facility for an after Valentines Day special. I verbally agreed and gave her my credit card. I noticed something was unusual as she wrote my credit number on a scrap piece of paper and said she needed it to hold the reservation. I was not told of any cancellation requirements or did not sign any contract. My wife and I ended up leaving the hotel next door and going to Miami Beach to enjoy the water. Since we left the area we decided to cancel the reservation. We called Linda to cancel and she told us she already charged our card for the service and we could not get any money back. What??? How do you charge for a service that was never done. She actually hung up on my wife which was very unprofessional. Please stay away from this business at all cost it is very shady and untrustworthy. Dont Waste Your Money! A (1)star was as low as you could go too bad they dont have a 0 rating.

I can not stress enough how good this place is. First I went in to try to make an appointment. Luckily they had a person push for later so I got right in. I did the hour and a half massage. Linda was perfect. She hit all my sore spots making sure the whole time I was comfortable and relaxed. They also offer a variety of treatments and specials. Next time I want to try the acupuncture. After the massage was done I was treated to some water and choclate, I even got some great advice on other local restaurants, since I do not live here, and the location was right next to my hotel, the Double Tree. If you are local or just visiting a center for alternative medicane is a great stop for a great price to relax. Thanks again to linda for helping ease my pain!!!!!!

I was initially referred to this Spa by a friend. The owner Linda is super sweet and helpful. Marina, the massage therapist, might be petite, but wow, she gives the best deep tissue massage Ive ever had. I also had a facial and loved that too. No wonder Ive been a client for the last 4 years!

I had my facial here for my birthday 🎂. Linda and Tereza were awesome. Tereza did my facial, she was very professional. Linda gave me props for my photos. I will definitely refer my friends to come here!

Im so glad that I found this Oasis in Deerfield Beach. I was visiting from Virginia and was staying at the nearby DoubleTree Hotel. Because I have chronic issues with my cervical and lumbar spine, I stopped by the Center for Alternative Medicine and Spa.I was essentially a walk in and it could nothave been a more fortuitous experience.. Could this healing place offering so many services (massage, accupuncture and hydrotherapy to name a few) be so conveniently locaave AND have effective therapies? YES YESThe moment you enter you know you are in good hands as the owner is VERY friendly and knowledgeable. ..AND you can tell she really cares about you. I highly recommend the Spa for travelers and locals alike. Even though I walked in on a lark...I returned 3 more times (over 10 days) as a very satisfied client!

Warm and relaxing atmosphere. The place smelled delicious and clean. Had a massage, facial, and acupuncture treatment and couldnt have been more pleased. I will definitely be coming back soon. Maybe next week!! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the best spa and treatment services in the area. I wouldnt give this place anything less then 5 stars!!

The spa is clean and comfortable. I had the best massage and facial experience ever. They were courteous, professional and thorough. I would go back and definitely recommend this spa. Overall, the scenery, the positive and motivated sayings hung up around the spa place, as well as the employees there, made me feel at home. Everyone was so nice to my boyfriend and I while we were taking couple massages. 10 out of 10 recommend anyone to go back to A Center for Alternative Medicine and Spa.

I came in because of a stiff neck and back tension. The massage really helped relieve the stiffness in my neck and increased the range of motion. The place is clean and the staff is professional and friendly. I will be back for another visit

I received a groupon as a present, when I called to schedule it she seemed like she was pushing upgrades and then before I hung up she said the value of full body massage and facial package was $149 and I need $30 cash for a tip. Kinda tacky! I had the massage and facial and wasnt impressed with it, it went so fast and when I was done and dressing I looked at my watch and it hadnt even been a HOUR! There isnt a time on voucher so beware of full body massage in 20 minutes? There was nobody else there so that explains why nobody coming back? Beware!

My boyfriend and I went here for a couples massage. From the first phone call the owner tried to sell us a massage class on how to massage each other, we declined and said that we wanted masssages only. How much? $170. A little steep, but if we can get out of there for $200 (after gratuity) with good massages it’s worth it. I overheard the owner speaking disrespectfully to the other employee while trying to get ready for our massages.The owner tried to sell me a collagen treatment I declined.she offered Lavender aromatherapy I said OK. My boyfriend wanted a deep tissue massage .There was no mention of extra charges for either.The place is full of fake candles plastic flowers and lots of Knick knacks on the massage table,that I was asked to clear before I got on the table, I asked for a drink of water before the massage I never got it, The owner massaged me her nails were very long and she pitter patted (soft effortless massage)for the hour. She was very chatty telling me about facials, cupping, botox/fillers, acupuncture and all kinds of other things she could sell me. My boyfriend said his massage with mediocre. Upon leaving We were offered a pink plastic champagne flutes of water and a little Debbie zebra cake, very holistic.The charge was $220. My boyfriend paid cash in which she seemed disappointed, Since when is cash not king?(I’m so glad we didn’t give her a credit card number after reading other peoples bogus charges) She was quick to remind us that did not include a gratuity. We beg to differ and left. She was parked directly behind us, We managed to pull around the building and get out. Still it seemed a little odd that she would park directly behind us to make it difficult to get out. Very odd place. Next time I’ll go across the street to the Asian place. They never seem to disappoint.

I visited the Spa today and received a treatment called Top to Toe! It really was the best treatment i ever had! An amazing full body massage and a cleansing facial with a peppermint foot massage and relaxing scalp massage! Roseni was my therapist! The best!5 stars ..I highly recommend this place!

I have gone on every site so I can to tell everyone that I love this SPA!!!! I scheduled my appointment in the morning to fit my time and everything went smooth we even had a few mins to chat . I suffer from migraines and am recovering from a horrible car accident that has made me very sensitive on my left side - I have metal in my wrist now and have very little mobility, so I have specific needs from a massage therapist. Marina is AMAZING she did PERFECT appropriate pressure on the left side little more pressure on the right!!! I love the feel of the spa its more of a one on one than a huge production that only sees you as paycheck. I will return and may become a weekly client. Thank you again Linda and Marina for making my day awesome and caring enough to make my massage uniquely special!!! THANK you THANK you
