TLC is a very authentic and welcoming place. Alyssa Lovdahl has done my hair twice now and I am so pleased with my entire experience. The salon space is clean and cozy and has the best music every time. I appreciate that Alyssa lets your hair process and then gives you some alone time to relax. It’s very soothing and restful.Alyssa also took the time to ask me questions about my hair and my likes/dislikes so she could adjust my color and cut accordingly. She tells great stories about her bunnies and ALWAYS has great recommendations for podcasts!

Working with Lovdahl Photography was an absolute delight! I came in for a family/newborn shoot and it started off with me being late due to having to feed the little one right before. Alyssa was very kind, understand and not only worked with us on that, but was also able keep our toddler entertained/grab his attention when taking our photos; not a lot of photographers can do this. I highly recommend Lovdahl Photography for all your photos needs. Alyssa is well rounded and her work speaks for itself!

My wife signed us up for a greenhouse quick photoshoot. As I am not a photogenic person, I was worried about how this would go. Alyssa took time to make me feel comfortable and very welcomed. She personalized the photo shoot to my comfort level and helped make this a great experience. Photos looked great and am very happy with the results.

We signed up for Alyssa’s greenhouse mini and they turned out so cute! Alyssa is so genuine, laid back, and comfortable to be around making the experience 10/10! Our photos are beautiful, I can’t wait to hang them up in our home!

Alyssa is the best of the best when it comes to hair! She listens to my hair goals and the final product always looks better than I imagined! Her studio is gorgeous and has a calming vibe while you are getting pampered. 10/10 recommend!

Looking for a new hair stylist? Alyssa is the gal to see!! She is extremely trustworthy and provides a calm and laidback environment for her clients. Her newly renovated studio is beautiful and very cleanly. She was the hair stylist at my brother’s wedding over the summer and handled all the bridesmaids with ease and preparedness. Everyone’s hair was absolutely stunning and held through the night! Overall, Alyssa is SO sweet and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Twin Ports area!!

Alyssa is so kind and fun to work with! She did my hair for my wedding day and a blowout the day before to help the hair stay in place on the big day. Her studio is so adorable, and she was incredibly gentle and easy to talk to during the appointment. Alyssa is so talented and gave me the wedding hair of my dreams. She added several different types of braids, curled my hair, and put in my handcrafted flower crown. She even taught a couple of people how to take the flower crown out at the end of the day so no one would accidentally rip my hair. Alyssa was also very understanding when the photographer had to move people around in the hotel room and flexible with getting my mother-in-laws hair done around that movement. Alyssa was also fast, on time, and easy to pay because of the Venmo option. I would recommend Alyssas work to anyone! She is so sweet!

I have gone to Alyssa several times now. She has performed lightening and balayage, darkening, hair cuts, and more on my hair. Each time she has exceeded my expectations. She is SO knowledgeable and truly a master of her craft, explaining what she is doing and why. The studio has a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, a getaway itself! After working with her a few times I knew she had to be the one I trusted with my hair on my wedding day! She did the coloring and prep before hand and then styled it the day of. My hair was one of my absolute favorite parts of my wedding day look. I would recommend again and again!

My husband and I had a small wedding in Tofte in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic. I was finding it difficult to find a hairstylist that was willing to drive the distance (1.5 hours from Duluth one way) for bride-only hair as I did not have a party, and that was available for a Sunday- until I found Alyssa at Lovedahl Salon! Alyssa was SO accommodating to my situation and was very easy to work with. I came to my trial with a picture of what I had in mind, and Alyssa recreated it exactly how I imagined and took the time to make sure she was giving me what I wanted. Her salon is also gorgeous and unique. Alyssa is an incredibly kind, accommodating, fun, and talented person to work with, and I’m so glad I found her for my wedding!

Let’s face it, we all want to look like a princess on our wedding day, right? Thanks to Alyssa, that dream was easily attainable. Alyssa works with her brides and clients to understand exactly what they want.On the big day, Alyssa arrived on schedule with a big smile and a cup of coffee for me. Although my nerves already had me plenty alert, this gesture was so appreciated. Alyssa’s presence was a combination of sunny and calm. She was just what I needed! I wanted to get ready in our hotel room with my four sisters/bridesmaids. Crammed into such a tight and personal space, it had the opportunity to be awkward- something I hadn’t thought about beforehand. Additionally, this only provided us with a stool and two mirrors. However, Alyssa took everything in stride and made everyone comfortable. She managed to fit right in!When it came down to the hair itself, it was evident that Alyssa knew what she was doing. She twirled, curled, and pinned my hair with a speed and precision that only comes through hours of practice. She also used high-quality, pleasant-smelling products, which I so appreciated! The hair Alyssa styled for my sisters somehow matched their personalities perfectly, and all of them were very happy with the results. Though I had a general idea of what I wanted for my hair, Alyssa appeared to read my mind- and more! I was absolutely amazed at how my hair had turned out. I received so many compliments! AND- big one ladies- my long and thick hair stayed in my updo ALL NIGHT. You heard me. Despite the rough and goofy groomsmen throwing me in the air, the limbo, and dancing for hours on end, no more than a few wisps of hair had fallen loose. And yet, my hair also wasn’t crispy to the touch and didn’t give me a headache? Magic, I tell you.If you are reading this and trying to decide whether or not you should hire Alyssa to fix up your dream wedding hair, THIS IS YOUR SIGN. What are you waiting for?

All my experiences with Alyssa have been enjoyable! She is fun to talk to and knowledgeable on her craft. She’s also patient with me when I have literally no idea what I am asking for or what the correct terminologies are 😂
