It is a beautiful spacious nightclub and there are not enough around. the music varies, I like the top 40s .. they usually have a mix with some lattice music, which we love... they have a lot of birthday parties, anniv, etc and the extra private space if they need it.. the people are friendly, especially the regulars, the bartenders are nice, I usually see Fran on the second balcony floor.. Right now, it is the best place around, I know!
My husband and I had an awesome time at Aura. The crowd was a mixed age group and quite fun to be amongst. Everyone one was jumping to the amazing hits played by the DJ.The front door ticket person informed us of the VIP passes which turned out to be a great deal. All in all we had a blast and will visit again.
Great venue. I had fun here. The place was packed and the crowd was lively. Music was loud and crisp. Ive been to two events here, one as a photographer doing work and one as a guest and I had a great time both times ive been there. The 2nd time going there the place was so packed it seemed as there was not enough room for everyone to dance. The patrons had to dance around the dance floor between the tables and dancing area. They had great food that I enjoyed. The staff was great, they had to be to deal with lively people at the joint. If you need a venue to host your event and you live in or around East Meadow, this is the place to do it.
I wish there was a zero star! It was the worst experience as the staff were extremely rude. We paid for tickets and asked for our money back before we even stepped into the club. The bouncer working at the door (andrew) was racist, unprofessional, disrespectful and just nasty. Management should be mindful of who they are hiring at the front door because one disgusting guy can really ruin a beautiful club and atmosphere for someone.
My bf asked me if I wanted to go dancing on Friday night. I suggested we go near Eisenhower park. When i was in high school i remember other high schoolers promoting that club. Well, when we walked in I wondered where I had just taken my bf. To a senior citizens/old age home. We were the youngest people in the room. Every person there was at least 20 years older than me, minimum. I am 23. Never again. My parents had a good laugh at me though.
Went there a few times. Place is big. They had a buffet before 7pm. Bunch of old people. Seriously... half of place was over 50. Might as well be an AARP club... music was almost all from 60s-80s
Great place for drinks and dancing. They have one of the best lighting systems in the area. Every evening and night has a specific theme or caters to a different crowd so it can be different every 6 hours. This place is next to a residential area which the residents have often called the police to keep the patrons from celibraring outside the club. If i lived there i would call to. I would be upset finding beer bottles and trash on my lawn or urine puddles in the street. Police often do DWI checks in this area. Again the club is great I hope you keep the party in the club and leave with a plan.
I give this place 5 stars for a couple of reasons. It is the best dancing place you will find in 7 mile radius right now. It is very clean, and people are expected to dress up somewhat ( for Long Islanders) Often entrance is complementary. Dj is awesome, walked in on a 80s night and struggled on the dance floor for a while( cause im 30 not my age group music, )so to make everyone happy the Dj mixed 80s with the modern beats of today, and as he saw that the crowd went with it he switched to some good modern beats for a while. I think every age group was happy. The dance floor was full. It was pleasant to hear that the dj did not come to work with one mixed cd in his pocket, but actually worked the audience and the music lighting. Bartenders were fast and super polite..
Horrible bartenders, worse DJ, and unbelievably bad security people. The crowd? Without exaggeration, in their 70s, and almost all guys. They were on the prowl for the 2 or 3 women there. The facility was poorly maintained, too. A run-down feel to it.
Half price drinks until 8 on Friday night. $5 Admission and free food. Bartender very attentive. Interesting crowd. Good music and fun night of dancing
Their dj stevie p sucks ass! He played depressing music tonight and his music kept skipping, then shut off completely. This club says 25 and over but there should be a cap on how old. Men pushing 60-80 years old would not stop bothering me! Theyre even more forceful and determined than the younger men I see in other clubs. Not sure Ill be back.
Loved the place. Make your own fun. Those who think it had too many OLD people I say...THEY are your prototypes! Someone defined a millennium as someone who makes you want to put needles in your eyes after hearing them for 20 seconds! I had a retirement party there, that was never forgotten. Mingle, avoid any predators, ( good security there.) if you disliked it at least youll never forget it 😄😄Have fun, dont expect too much ....its a CLUB!!!!
The partying and dancing was AMAZINGG! It got a little over crowded and terribly hot though, so maybe a limit of guests would be nice. The DJ was fantastic, drinks were on the dot.
Wednesday nights starting at 5 pm-7pm theres plenty of room for hustle dancing..after that the floor gets crowded..but for 5 bucks admission its a great value.
They sent me a couple free tickets and I decided to bring my sister with me knowing she doesn’t go out much because she’s always working.First thing hit me was a line, they had you waiting for a long time until the ticket expires and turn around asking us to pay $15 each. The bouncer was very rude telling me to either pay or leave because I’m holding up the line.I would never recommend anyone here neither would I go back👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Had a great time at the 80s New Wave night. Great DJs from the old WLIR - Dare to be Different!!! Wish they would hold this event more often and on a weekend.
The average age is 45 - 50. Its a very nice place but there is a crowd of older men that will just stand and stare, made me uncomfortable and was the reason I left early.
Its a great place to go with your friends to have a good time. Its pretty reasonable and the music is okay. Its better for people who r 18 yrs to 20yrs on fridays. I would recommend it
Friday night is mainly hip-hop, R&B, and reggae. Nice crowd average age appeared to be 35.
I went with my gf her brother her daughter & her bf for new years eve... a great price! food & booze for an hour... all was fine till the meat market effect seeped in. I got into several altercations with guys trying to pick up on my gf & her rdaughter... thats expected... One roided out looser kissed my gf for new years while she was trying to get to the bathroom... not that big of a deal, but then he came back and I blocked him... almost got ugly. the security there shouldve stepped up and threw this diseased dousch bag out of the club bc I saw him harassing other girls too.NOTE TO MANAGEMENT!TELL YOUR MUSCLE TO STEP UO THERE GAME SO NORMAL PPL CAN ENJOY DANCING AND HAVING A GOOD TIME!!GIRLS DONT NEED TO BE GROPPED IN THE CLUB!! OR WORSE!! STOP A POTENTIAL RAPE!!
Used to be decent 5 years ago. This goes to show how lame Long Islanders got in their tastes. This wasnt even a great place but now it went further downhill than i ever expected
Checked this place out from a distance it looks impressive, think they got the idea of what really makes a nightclub shine like its predecessor Zacharys I know intimately and from another time good disciple good!
I just went there last night it was great, the bartender makes awesome drinks ,they had great music & the bouncers where nice
Great music.. friendly wait staff. Nice group of older people 25+ crowd.
Depends on which DJ and which night you visit. Bartenders need lessons in mixology. Some nights are a 2 stars night and others a 4.5 stars.
We had a great time there, FRIDAY IS THE BEST, LOVE IT AND WOULD BE BACK. PLUS IT WASNT SO CROWDED AND PPL THERE 30 AND UP LIKE THE CROWD AND THE WORKERS.
Happy New was fun but different as advertise staff at the coat check in is not honest the some of them are rude and someone stole things from my coat.
I’ve had so many wonderful times at Aura!Best night club on Long Island!
I had a great time being at Aura, I got to take a picture with Jamie one of the barmaids.🎤🎧💿🎶📱📱🍸
Because its big, great people, great music you have fun its a great place
They dont honor your tickets. They keep you on line outside until the ticket expires, and charge twenty dollars.
