Me and my sister went to their drag brunch. While the drag show itself was fun unfortunately the service was horrible. We each ordered a mimosa and only ever got one even after reminding the server about the other. We never got checked on after the food was delivered. The food was fine but we weren’t able to ask for condiments or even napkins after it was dropped off. I would’ve liked to attend another drag brunch but after that we won’t be returning.

Great food, great atmosphere, great price. I went with a friend for dinner and the staff were wonderful. Its a mix between a bar and a restaurant. Its primarily a bar, not a lot of tables for seating, but the dinner menu is spectacular. The chef is from Louisiana and he makes some GREAT southern food. All of the food is flavorful with a lovely melding of spices. We sat at a table and the bar staff would check on us to see if we needed anything. Food service was prompt and the noise level was low. There was some light background music playing but it was easy to keep up conversation.Cant wait to check it out again!

Ive been to Spectrum for a couple of events and theyre always a good time. Highly recommend for a cozy, inclusive atmosphere. Its in Eugene so getting parking is rough and the seats arent all that comfortable, but the food, drinks, and staff are wonderful. Will be returning in the future.

I came by this place on Tuesday, July 23. At 1030. The place was closed. The sign on the door sat they are open till midnight, but the door is locked and the bartender is cleaning the place. I was hoping to have a drink while I waited for a friend to land at the airport. Pretty disappointing.

The queer drag brunch dancers are fabulous. The food, especially for the money…is pretty lame.Whatever. This place needs all the support. For keeping the groove flaming, and strange.Thank you all for what you do.Don’t let drama get in the way of a fine establishment. Eyes on the prize, girls!💃

Rating a little low mostly due to inexperienced bartenders who didnt seem very attentive.. but the atmosphere is good especially for the younger crowd and the menu for food is really good. Not a place for a basic cocktail but overall we had a good time after we were finally served! It has a lot of potential! 3/5

Been here a few times usually during the slow period. Bartenders are always lovely, clientele as such too, and their drinks are pretty decent. It’s nice to have a queer inclusive bar in the downtown area, bartenders even get to have their own drinks on a menu (would recommend checking that out). Overall I always have an enjoyable time as it’s a quieter bar usually.

Had much higher expectations for this place. Have visited 3 times and have been extremely let down. 2nd time visiting for a burlesque show, no mention of a cover, then $10 cover per person when we arrived. Showed up for the Ru Paul drag race show. Had drinks in the back room most of the show, then told after 45min that we werent allowed drinks back there because it was an all ages show. Last I checked, minors can still be in places that serve alcohol, like ANY restaurant. NOT cool..

Went on a saturday with my boyfriend just to try out the food, either we got there as soon as it opened or its only more popular at night because the place was empty, there was only one bartender who doubled as a server who didnt bother us at all (which I appreciate) and service was pretty quick. Fries were great, chicken strips were alright but not the best. They were as thin as potato chips and looked unlike any chicken strip Ive ever seen, I wish they were way more filling. Still a nice place to go to however, would recommend. :)

Me and my partner love coming here and we find this to be one of the only bars we feel comfortable and safe visiting. we have had nothing but incredible service from the security staff who are always incredibly friendly and the bar staff are also incredibly friendly. they are so cool to talk to but it doesnt seem theres much organization as the past few times weve visited it took nearly 15-20 minutes for our drinks to be made and last night we had to remind the bartenders what we had ordered twice and then another customer had to ask on our behalf. I love coming here and I want to come here more often but the time that it takes for them to make two drinks when theres hardly anybody there vs. when its packed is wildly different and a little frustrating to have to remind the bartender what you ordered twice before they start to make it.

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Sunday Drag Brunch at Eugene Spectrum, and it was an absolute delight! The drag queens brought a lot of fun and humor to the event, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Im a fan of comedy queens, and their performances had the entire audience entertained. One of the highlights of the day was Lavender Hazes performance. She was fabulous and even took my sisters breath away with her rendition of BeReal. It was clear that the drag queens knew how to command the stage and create a lively atmosphere. The only downside was that the food took a while to arrive. The kitchen seemed to get overwhelmed during the drag brunch, and Ive noticed this on previous visits as well. While the flavors were excellent and the presentation was on point, it would be great if the food service could be more efficient to avoid long waiting times. The manager at Eugene Spectrum was friendly and accommodating. However, it would be beneficial if they could focus more on managing the food and staff to ensure a smoother experience for everyone. Additionally, delegating camera duties to someone else could allow them to oversee operations more effectively.Although I cant recall the security guards name, I do remember her being cool and funny. Her presence added to the overall enjoyment of the event and created a safe environment for everyone.

I absolutely love Spectrum!! This place has become like a second home to me! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and security works hard to keep everyone safe. There are super fun shows every weekend, including brunch every Sunday for free! I have never felt so seen and accepted, truly a great community space and cornerstone for the queer community!

This queer bar has a beautiful performance area, a bar, a dining room area with a photo booth, and a lounge part with beautiful art and comfy chairs. Theres a bulletin board for fliers for community events. My spouse and I went there to try the food and check out the space for the first time before attending a performance. I feel anxious going to a new place, so I knew it might help me to visit at a chill time, so we went right after they opened on a weekday afternoon. I had the vegan loaded fries, and my spouse had the vegan mac and cheese. The bartender took our order and got us water. We were treated respectfully, and when I asked to view the performance space, the bar tender took me to see it in a kind way. The food was ok bar food, and we look forward to returning for the performance. The space seems creative, respectful, and fun. While my spouse and I ate, more people came in to sit at the bar. They were watching a tv show pertaining to drag. They seemed chill, happy, and doing their own thing. Grateful to Spectrum for welcoming all kinds of people. Grateful to local queer spaces where I can be myself.

Oddly dissatisfied. I ordered 4 drinks in 5 hours. I was with a group so one was a shot and the other 3 were rum and cokes plus fries. After the 3rd rum and coke, which was ordered midway through BIPOC drag and zero issues from anyone, the bartender said we were cut off. We had planned to get 20 $1s each but said nope after that. We caused zero issues and we actually quietly playing chess most of the night prior to the show. I had been so excited to have a queer space in our new town but probably wont go back now.

Unfortunately I have to update my review from five stars to three, and that even feels a bit generous. For a queer bar I would expect to feel a warmer vibe, but several bar tenders seem pretty standoffish, which I do understand having to have your walls up to some extent when you work in an industry like that, but I also feel like being friendly and attentive is important for the experience. On top of this, my drinks and food have been forgotten for long amounts of time. In multiple occasions I’ve waited 20-30 minutes before having to remind them to make my drink and when they do finally make them they’re very inconsistent with measurements and flavors. I waited 45 minutes for my food one time while it was sitting at the window even though the place wasn’t super busy. I have social anxiety so it took me a bit to work up the courage to ask them to bring it to me since they were talking to someone and I didn’t want to interrupt. I’ve been disappointed quite a few times, I really hope that there’s a vibe so that I can start coming back more often.

Im Sorry, but this is the most pathetic excuse of a gay bar. Bartenders dont seem to know what theyre doing-or even care. Theres just a coldness there. Sorry again but I wont support unfriendly, just give me your coins drag performers- who separate themselves for safety reasons??_? How can you run a business when no one answers the phone on an opened nite-Leave A Message?- gurl please.Lastly whats up with the music and the lack thereof. The only redeeming quality is the black female door person who always has a smile and understands public relations.A good reputation runs far- a bad reputation runs even further. What a waste of a space.Gurl bye.

Last time I came here, the bar/kitchen were very busy and struggling to match orders to people, which I didnt mind at all as I knew there would be a long wait. But I did mind when I was extremely loudly deadnamed by one of the bartenders because they yelled out the name on the card I used to pay. I have tried to come here a few times to connect with the community here in town, but that experience pushed me away a lot. Really wish they could use last names or initials or order numbers or something instead, because being deadnamed in a space thats supposed to be queer-friendly doesnt feel great.

The place is incoherent at best and downright irresponsible at worst. They serve alcohol to minors because their bartenders (the majority of them anyway) have no idea what theyre doing and have no business being behind a bar. Ive watched them. Sporadic carding if any at all. Its unclear who actually works here, and whos just hanging out behind the bar tbh.Half of the time its dead, and the rest of the time its awkwardly not really a bar so much as a queer youth center, which it really should just become, nix the booze.

On June 24th 2023. My friend and I attended a Drag show at Spectrum. The owner of the bar took it upon himself to grab my friend by the arm and throw her in the street for asking a question. He left bruises on her arm. Spectrum’s motto is supposed to be welcoming to all people. But I don’t believe a place that is welcoming to all people should leave bruises on you at the end of the night.NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES

I had a wonderful experience at Spectrum. The staffs love of community is palpable, and as nourishing as the delicious dinner. Not the barfood you expected, but the comfort cuisine you deserve. I’ve had many negative experiences here. Between seeing people that were obviously drugged on two occasions (one of whom attempted to give me oral in the middle of the dance floor without my consent, which the bouncer just chuckled at) and how every single time there’s a drag show, the announcer having to tell the audience to not grope the performers at least three times… i really can’t recommend this place. i don’t know why the culture is how it is but i came here for around a year and after reflecting on the experience i’m staying far away. these experiences all happened two and a half years ago- maybe something has changed. i don’t know. but i’ve had my fill.

This spot is incredible!! A space created for the queer community by the queer community (but open to everyone)! Dance the night away, see a show on the weekend, grab a drink after work, sip some coffee while you read in the lounge - the most versatile venue in town.I need to stress how great the food is. A menu completely inspired by true southern cuisine with just a touch of PNW mixed in. The chef is from NOLA and his cooking proves it. As a southerner myself, Im so happy to have a place with such vibrant, flavorful comfort food from back home. Best pimiento cheese Ive ever had! Try the boudin balls, red beansnrice, crawfish rangoons, moules frites - heck, try anything you want cause its all great!! Do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner sometime soon. This is my new favorite place in town. Maybe itll be yours too.

Incredibly closed off environment. No one even stamped us as we entered. Highly unusual. Went outside for five minutes and returned only to have no one recheck my ID. How are you keeping minors out? Also got yelled at by the DJ for being back in the dance area. Apparently it was closed off? No one was telling anyone that and there was no one at the door to keep people from going back there. Not very welcoming. Very bad vibes.

Very limited menu. I read cajun food on their sign and they didnt have gumbo, jambalaya, catfish or any cajun staples. I attended an event in their night club as well. A lot of speaking about not offending each other, but strived to be offensive to anyone not in the LGBTQ community. That type of hypocrisy causes people not to care about respecting the hippocrates. I never had an experience there I can call so much as good.

Their primary concern is getting money, and they dont care if you were actually using the service.
