The Big Dirty is the place to go if you want to take in musical vibes at a Burning Man den-like venue/bar. The music, food, drinks, and even games all come together for a fun spot in Eugene for EDM festival lovers and music lovers alike.

Went to see an Eagles tribute band last night. Great show! The venue is gorgeous, just wish there was more space. There were less than 100 people and it felt really cramped. It’s exciting, though, to have such a fun little music venue. The bar doesn’t offer a lot of choice, but the prices were fair. Downstairs was a nice place to chill until the show started. There is very limited seating upstairs, and since the band was about 45 minutes late to start, it was nice to have a cozy place to sit and wait. My only complaint is that there was one door guy who was charged with taking tickets, checking purses, wanding people, and putting the paper bracelets on everyone. It made the door wait very long! One more door person would have been nice.I’m definitely going to keep an eye on the shows there. We had a really amazing time.

First time at The Big Dirty last night and I loved it! The space looks exquisite and the sound is impeccable. More bands should play here. The bar is close by so you wont miss anything when the band is playing. Au Jus sells delicious food here at very good prices. It is great not having to drive to Portland to see a show. Check it out

Went here on my 21st. Had to pay a $20 cover to even enter (on a Sunday no less), drinks are okay if not a touch spendy, music was great, fairly certain somebody had drugged one of my drinks though. All in all, would probably go back, just with a lot more awareness of my drink.

Interesting decor and no complaints about the sound. It was cold in there though and far too crowded for my taste. Luckily they have a downstairs space with a couch and games to escape to.

As the owner of Caught In The Act Entertainment we like to know what else is out there regarding nightly karaoke in Eugene. I decided to drop in. The owners spared no expense on this venue. Kade, their KJ was making things happen and the sound was pretty good too.Nice job guys, sorry I didnt get pics.

Great venue with a cool stage! Drinks were delicious and food was great. Saw The Atom Age play here and they killed it. Would recommend this venue for live music!

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill since the new ownership. I showed up with my service puppy thats in training. The doorman named Juice wouldn’t let us in. I told him the laws and he said it didn’t matter she wasn’t allowed. My puppy was causing no issues. It’s a huge disappointment because I’ve been going here for over a year every Tuesday evening. I headed over to horse head then to level up. We were welcomed and they expressed disappointment with the new ownership at big dirty. I’ve attached a picture of my puppy at level up.

Dancing and great drinks with a chill spot downstairs and glizzys to order. I feel comfortable here so I realy let loose! Did I mention the art? Oh yeah, the art is amazing!!

Dont come here if you have ANY medications on you. My girlfriend and I came for the electronic music night on a sunday with maybe 10 people in the bar. We paid the $8 cover- and then were turned away when the door woman wouldn’t let us in because after searching us. My girlfriend showed her the prescribed medication she needs to take daily that was in her purse and we were told we couldnt come in because it was house policy to not let anyone in with medication. We were given the option of throwing it out ot coming back another night. Our friends were already there so after deliberating we threw the medication out. However we were told she “didnt see us throw it away” even though the medication was clearly visible in trash next to her. We at least were given our cover back and left. Super disappointing. Having worked in clubs for 8+ years, Ive never encountered a club having a policy of making patrons throw away prescribed medications.

Experienced Big Dirty for the first time last night, one of the best venues Ive ever been too. What a fun place! So much detail to enjoy inside.The music was well mixed; the bass had the floor rumbling but I didnt need earplugs. The crowd was friendly and got down~The game room was a surprise!One bathroom for each gender, manageable. Coat check service. Large smoking patio.

Ive been a longtime customer of this place, singing every month or so ... the fact that Im carded, frisked and wanded EVERY TIME makes me wonder if I want to support this establishment ... the bartender and karaoke staff are solid ... but if you want to know how to discourage regular patrons, this place has found it ... this place and ownership doesnt deserve to have regular patrons the way we are treated ... and dont message me ownership ... youre a blight on downtown

I come here for the Latin dancing on Tuesday nights and always have a great time. I find the decor very soothing. I love the glow of the lights and the ambiance. The staff are all so nice and welcoming and Ive always felt safe. The drinks are great too and I also love that they have a good selection of non alcoholic drinks and Ive never felt pressured to drink while there. I hope this gem of a venue is around a long time.

The bar crew we had for last nights show, they were incredible! Ive never seen 3 people dance and pour with such flair before. They had a great patio space outside and downstairs you can play a few of the more physical arcade games 😊Id say give it a try, just once if youre curious. Youll either love it or be better off for having given this place a try.

I havent lived in Oregon for a while now, but I have fond memories of this place. It was where I met a good friend of mine, and their monthly dubstep shows are cool. It was pretty much the only place I could go to for semi-regular dubstep shows, and the afterparty they threw after Zeds Dead back in 2022 was amazing.

Sweet venue! Great atmosphere and ambiance. Good liquor selection, had a nice bottle of 12 year old Irish whisky that was fantastic. I had a great evening.

I have only been there on Tuesday nights for the Salsa/Latin dancing, so with respect to the crowd and the vibe I can only comment on Tuesday nights which are great. The crowd is most decidedly NOT drunk college students. The Latin music and dancing is a blast. The cover is only $5 and that includes a one hour dance lesson which varies every week and there is a Tuesday Tequila discount. The decor is unique and interesting and I have always found the whole place to be pretty clean, with one exception. Some nights the floor feels sticky in some places. This is pretty noticable when youre doing Latin dancing because there are a lot of turns involved and sticky floors make turns more difficult. But I imagine that keeping floors super clean in a bar must be pretty challenging with drinks getting spilled sometimes. One other minor issue is that the womens restroom has 4 stalls but one has been out of order for many months and another has no latch. So there are really only 2 functioning stalls. Ive never noticed it being a big problem on Tuesdays, but on some other night when its even more crowded and theres more drinking going on, I can imagine it being a problem. The latch thing shouldnt be that big of a deal to fix, so I dont understand why they havent.The bartenders that I have encountered so far have only been attentive, polite, and helpful. Lastly, the guy working the front door is really nice and welcoming. I feel like being greeted in such a cheerful, friendly manner really sets the tone for my evening. So, overall, I would highly recommend checking it out, especially on Tuesdays.

I love the atmosphere here!! So cool! I met my friend here for a drink and arrived early before a show started. It was very cool to hang out and enjoy good conversation before the show.

Great staff. One of a kind decor. There really isnt another place like it. They have a awesome little arcade downstairs and a nice back patio. The food from slingin Weiner is top notch. If you havent been you should make it a point to go.

Great venue, full bar, Bartenders are great too. If you love Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Caribbean music, Reggae Shock Out DJ night is on the last Thursday of every month. 💚💛❤️

Went to a friends album release. Great venue and wheelchair accessible. They have a private one person bathroom between the womens and the mens restrooms that I used the second time as the handicap stall in the womens bathroom has a very heavy door I was lucky to have a friendly stranger offer to push it shut for me as there is not really enough room in the stall to turn your wheelchair around. So while I was on the toilet I had to partially close it and then lift and turn it around so I would be able to get back on it and out the door. I am blessed to have a small amount of mobility and that was the only reason why I was able to make this happen.The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this venue.

It was a fun atmosphere but I didnt like how sex driven every single thing was.

Great safe place. Security was always aware of what’s was going with the surrounding area at all times and very helpful. I felt safe being there by myself on a busy night. The place was clean and bartender were very respectful and appreciative of their customers. The atmosphere and music was excellent! Will be going back.

I wasnt particularly fond of the music, but I just showed up without researching it. All in all it was pretty good, still got sweaty which I suppose was the goal. Kind of pricey, but I guess it keeps the riff raff out. The lighting was fun if not a bit too bright for my taste, mind you I guess these are different times and brighter is probably safer. Will probably try again another time.

Cool bar. Nice stage. I love the decor. There is skee ball in the basement, as well as other games, so bonus points! Saw Cannibal Ox here and had a great time.

Nice venue, the visual art on the wall is pretty cool. Its all cut out of wood so its 3D art with LED lights accenting the wood. The LED lights will change color dim and brighten cool effects. Nice sound system. In the basement is a chill hangout area with a few arcade games. The only down side is the people running the venue do not know how to be reply to their music artists about anything outside of the time a show is not happening. I came here with a friend that was DJing, there was no response from the dig dirty about anything, when they went to sound check, the sound guy had no idea that there was a show that night.

Good, cozy vibes to get you movin and groovin! Finally noticed the actual decor in there and its pretty dang cool as well. As a Corvallis resident, Im jealous my town doesnt have a spot like this for grown folks to do their thing!

Really nice new venue in Eugene. Someone took time designing it and put a lot of effort into getting things right. Sound was on point, Staff was great, no issues getting drinks. Everything felt clean. Staff and crowd all smiling and having fun. A+

Sound is great, venue is nice, the bathrooms are probably the cleanest bar bathrooms in Eugene, drink prices are pretty average.I never knew this place existed until we played a show here. Definitely worth going back!

Staff was very friendly and engaging! They had a couple EDM the night I came, Forest Avery and Tim. Which, I really enjoyed. Solid in-house sound system! Not to mention old school vidoe games, skee ball and photoboth! I throughly enjoyed myself at a new place so easily here that I couldnt help but leave a stellar review.

I absolutely love the atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and fun to talk to. My only hope is that they have more hard dubstep artists in the future. The last two times I have been there I have had an absolute blast. Thank you guys for bringing this fun and amazing place to eugene. Again please more heavy dubstep though

This place hosts some of the best JDs. Staff are helpful and kind, especially security. Ive heard some unsavory things in the past, but the staff seem pretty dedicated to providing a safe space for everyone to just dance like your life depends on it and have a good time.

This is an amazing music venue! Fast and friendly service in a clean and super safe environment. The music/entertainment is unlike anywhere else in Eugene! Campus is buzzing about this place- and it def won’t disappoint. A must go for sure!

Went to a Summer Jam put on by MackDub. This venue is dope. State of the Art sound! LED LIGHT show! Full bar and plenty of security . I will definitely be going back to this place. Bartender is awesome. The decor is otherworldly. The Soundsystem is great. The salsa night is friendly and the lesson gets you set for the night.

I got to see blockhead here and have come 1 other time. This is a beautiful venue and the sound was great. I have no idea why some people dont feel safe here, I personally felt very safe and the staff were all friendly and nice.

Groovy atmosphere. Its like being in the belly of a rave whale. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and some tasty weiners to boot (even veggie weiners!)

Awesome new venue run by good people , great staff , and most importantly to me... they book amazing/popular gigs that are big enough to have no business playing a city/venue as small as Eugene/theirs.(All the great/weird things that are Eugene)

Bouncers were horrible. Got followed to the event and told the bouncer who acted like he we would be proactive about the situation and the guy who followed us loitered outside the entire time…Male bartender went into the women’s bathroom and yelled at the people using the restroom saying they were vaping and banged on all the stall doors. He claimed to be “cleaning,” but he was really just harassing the women using the restroom. Several of my friends were harassed and when we told security nobody took any action. Not to mention an artist who was playing got in “trouble” after the show for speaking out about the problem. Absolutely will not be returning… disgusted by the lack of initiative on making people feel safe.

Beautifully built out venue with something for everyone. This is not your average dive bar folks. The whole place is a work of art. Amazing events and even better staff. 10/10 would recommend!

The Big Dirty is one of the classiest places around. Everything is amazing quality and such a badass, unique experience. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Eugene.
