Amazing place! Great rates even better massage. I felt like the masseuse personalized the massage based on were my knots where. Ive had a few messages before but all felt like a routine this felt personal. Went with two other people who agree and we feel renewed and refreshed!

We had the couples massage and it was superb... I wish I knew our masseuse names they were amazing. They walked on our backs and all. We had the couples massage for 60min and added 30min. It was phenomenal!!!

My husband and I went here for our very first couples massage. Since this was our first time, we went with the 60 MIN Couple Massage(Swedish Or Eastern).Scheduling an appointment online was incredibly easy and simple. I opted for a medium pressure massage while my husband requested a deep tissue.They incorporated tapping motions, stretching, and hot stones… all of which was incredibly nice and relaxing!I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely visit again!!

My husband and I love massages and have tried them almost all over the world, but this massage we will never forget. An interesting experiment with a foot scrub during the massage, but unfortunately they used too much oil, and the massage table felt wet, as if they hadnt changed the cover in time.For the first time ever, we were asked during the massage if it was okay to add some ointment for $10 and then a scrub for another $10. Although we saw this option on the wall when we paid, it would have been nice to be informed beforehand.The smell in the room was also surprising, reminiscent of those found in historical museums. Overall, everything was quite impressive. Thank you.

My fiance and I loved our couples massage. Soo relaxing. The masseuses were very thorough and took great care. She recognized my fiances small back surgery scar without being told about it beforehand. Very reasonable price for two people. A great experience for our vacation to Galveston.

We are staying in Galveston for an extended time and found this Spa. This was the absolute best massage I have had in my life! We did the 60 minute wellness full body massage. It was truly top notch, there was not a body part missed. With hot stones and a foot scrub at the end, every little detail was present. We will certainly go back. Clean facilities and great service! Happened to be shopping on the weekend at The Strand in Galveston last weekend and found this place to my surprise! I have had multiple back surgeries and finding a place that can give me a massage that relaxes me and doesnt hurt me is always a challenge. The spa was very clean and professional. I believe the owner was my therapist. She was very careful , but also knew where my body could handle deep tissue massage. I will definitely be back for another appointment when I return to Galveston next weekend! Thank you!

I had to share my experience at the Wellness Spa. Im so excited that I found this little gem. Everyone was so sweet and welcoming. I had my whole session and I made sure to addressed my areas of stiffness. I enjoyed every minute of my massage. They understood me and left the spa feeling great! My next appointment is already scheduled!

First off, I truly want the best for this place. It seems that the owner and staff are well intentioned. But, 3 stars is our generous rating our experience during our couples massage. My biggest complaint is like other clients, they left the door open while checking in on someone that came in during our massage since they didnt have anyone to operate the front desk. Then when they got hot water for the foot scrub the door was also left wide open. While there were no other customers in the spa at the time it shouldnt have to be said that privacy is important especially since this is not the first review that has mentioned this happening.Its clear there was a big language barrier, which only became an issue because of the limited guidance we were given on what the massage would entail, and what kind of pressure we preferred. Even having a piece of paper printed with more pressure, less pressure and checking in on us throughout would have been helpful. Also printed instructions when clients enter would be helpful if youre unable to communicate it verbally.My husband said his massage was very rough. Mine was descent pressure wise and there were parts of it that were great but other parts that were just ok. Also, the headrest part of the massage bed was not comfortable or soft and it smelled a bit musty.While I wouldnt recommend this spa massage to others, I truly hope they take take this feedback and use it to improve their business because I believe it has potential to be better.

My husband and I went for a 90 min couples massage. The room was chilly and the oil was not warm. No warm towels or blankets were provided before the massage. I told my masseuse I was cold and she kept massaging. My muscles were not warmed up at all which made it feel even worse. My husband and I asked multiple times for a harder massage with no improvement. The techniques they used did not feel therapeutic or relaxing. Often slapping our muscles and pinching in between our fingers. This was not a professional massage. We left very disappointed and sore.

Couples massage, got us naked then one therapist left to give someone else a massage for 30 minutes. My husband waited then my massage was over I had to wait 30 minutes was not happy.

I had a 90 minute massage from I believe her name was Kelly. The experience was one of the best I have received. The atmosphere was relaxing and Kelly listened to my needs having a bad lower back and stiff neck. When she was finished my back felt so much better along with other parts of my body that were really tense.If you need a nice, relaxing massage I would highly recommend The Wellness Spa.

I heard that this massage parlor is very good two days ago. My tour group passed by and specially came in for a massage to relieve stress. It feels really good! I had a full body massage, scrub and ear candling. When I returned to the hotel that night, I slept very well, and my hearing improved significantly. The masseuse is very professional, serious and careful. I recommend it to everyone~^_^

Wow,Had a couple massage here today.All I can say is wow.From the time I walked in, to the time I left. Complete relaxation. It was so clean, smelled amazing, and the room you get massaged in was so relaxing. Dark, quiet, cool, and had a comforting ambiance. Then you get a warm chai when you leave. Just amazing. Worth every penny and more！What I liked even more was how accommodating to the fact that I’m 9 months pregnant. If you’re one of my fellow pregnant moms out there, go here. Trust me. It’s the most relaxed I’ve been in months, took all that stress and tenseness out of my body that this 3rd trimester had brought on. That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for and have been let down by numerous places.This would be a great place for a date, get an expecting mom a gift card or for anyone really.I never leave reviews but they deserve it.Can’t wait to go back!

We spent the weekend in Galveston walking around the seawall and Strand area. We were near this place and it started to sprinkle rain so went in for a couples massage. Fortunately they had availability and the price was reasonable. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and spoke ok English, enough to get by. The quality of the massage was excellent. Not too hard, but enough to work the knots out. Will definitely return here next time we go to Galveston!

Beware!!! This place is not what it seems. My husband and I did a couples massage. We requested a relaxation Swedish massage but received a deep tissue massage or at least that what it felt like. The therapist pretended not to be able to communicate in English. I would not recommend this place. I feel like I need another massage to get over this one. Not happy at all 🤬

I booked two massages for family members during Fathers Day weekend. Unfortunately neither person had a good experience. One massage resulted in a slipped disk and the other, which was supposed to be prenatal, wasnt. I feel the language barrier is significant and is a huge concern. It was impossible to communicate to the staff needs and preferences.

The staff are super friendly but the massage was not what I expected and left me really sore. My daughter and I booked a 2 hour massage. First off I didn’t realize that they actually walk on you but I guess I should have researched more. The massage wasn’t like any I have ever had, it felt like your kid or friend massaging you that don’t really know what they are doing. My daughter has bruises on her back still (3 days later) and my shoulder blades have really been hurting. I definitely don’t recommend.

That was the best spa experience I’ve ever had. The spa is clean, nicely decorated, relaxing and smelled amazing. The therapist was kind and applied great pressure to relieve the pain I had being an athlete who works out intensely 5x a week. I got a 90 minute deep tissue massage with body and feet. She spent great time on both and worked some strong kinks out. She even stretched me out a little at the end. Awesome experience, awesome staff, awesome atmosphere…definitely will be going back!

My husband and I had the couples massage. Perfect! Even on a busy Saturday they fit us in at 2:00. We walked out feeling amazing! First time for us to have one and didn’t know what to expect…. Worked on my neck and back muscles! Made my feet feel soft and pretty again! They was totally professional and made us feel very welcome! I will definitely be back. From start to finish, they didn’t waste any of our time and truly worked out all kinks with dedication. At some parts of my massage I was squirming in discomfort but I knew that mild pain would result in improved range of motion later so I dealt with it. And sure enough, the next day I wake up feeling like my joints have been lubricated with WD40! The establishment is super clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience and feel very happy to have found my new favorite massage clinic. Self care is so important and everyone should treat themselves by visiting wellness spa

I am leaving a review but not sure much will change since others have mentioned these same issues and apparently nothing changed.We came in for a couples massage and technically we did get one. I have no idea why they ask if you are there for a relaxing massage or a therapeutic one because it seems like they only have 1 type.During the massage the talked a lot, left the door open a couple times, dug their elbow on way too hard (yes I said something), and literally applied pressure to bones where you should apply that type of pressure to muscle. I seriously doubt these ladies are licensed or educated.When they started the massage no oil was used at all, then when the oil was introduced it was cold not warmed.One thing I dont understand is why you pinch the skin between each finger and pull pretty hard, when did that become a relaxing gesture!?!

What a wonderful spa. My dear friend Melita and I spent the weekend in Galveston and decided on a whim to get a 90 minute massage and added on a foot massage and scrub. We were able to get an appointment the same day. Both therapists really did an excellent deep tissue massage. The woman working on me managed to find every where I was tense. They were all very professional. They read our paperwork and did exactly what we had indicated we wanted done. My friend and I consider this a great find and a perfect way to spend part of our afternoon. Thank you so much.

Excellent massage. My husband and I had a 1 hour foot and back couples massage and it was terrific! They worked out all the kinks and knots and muscle soreness we both had. We feel brand new! We will definitely recommend them and be back for another visit!

Had a 24-hour migraine due to stress that had built up mainly in my neck, shoulders and back. Went in to get one of the best 90-min deep tissue massages Ive ever had in my entire life! The therapist was so thorough and worked through my stubborn knots that many inexperienced therapists seem to give up on. If you (like me) love a massage that hurts and feels soooo good, go to Wellness spa. Also, the atmosphere is great. Once you leave the waiting area, it opens up and is so peaceful and relaxing - like a little oasis! Prices are very comparable to other spas in the area - if not a little cheaper (!!). This place was everything I wanted in a massage. The spa was very calm and relaxing. My massage therapist took her time and really focused on the places were I had the most tension. I loved the convenience of online booking. I will definitely be coming back.

After searching for a reputable spa in Galveston, I scheduled a massage for my mother and facial for myself online. After calling to confirm our appointments, I asked if we could be in the same room to enjoy the experience together. Misty was very helpful in trying her best to accommodate us but unfortunately the facial equipment could not be moved. This was not a deal breaker for us as we were treated with the utmost respect and I felt as if she really was trying to meet our needs. We both received wonderful treatments and are sure to return soon!

My husband and I just had a couple message. It was very fairly priced, actually cheap, compared to most couples messages at other places. It was easy to book, and we got both for the hot stone, full-body message. If you’re more inclined to, “the finer things in life”, this location might not be ideal. However, if you’re looking for a nice message at a good price- it’s great.

We were able to make an appointment for a couples massage on short notice. Prices were great! We were the only folks there and our therapists were the only people working. During our massages they answered the phone in the room with us and then left the room to make appointments for other people - it was quite distracting. I hope it was just because it was the holiday season and maybe they were short staffed.

Perfectly good massage. Good price, accessible location, friendly staff. Therapist was reasonably knowledgeable about muscles, although sometimes there was just some back-and-forth rubbing. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a desk person so my therapist also had to answer the phone a few times. Besides that, definitely recommend it!

Very clean and punctual. They were ready for us when we came for our appointment. The therapists asked before hand to learn about our specific aches and pains, likes and dislikes. My therapist checked with me a few times during the massage to make sure I was comfortable with the pressure of my deep tissue massage (I was). I will be booking an appointment here every time I come to Galveston.

We LOVED our visit here. We scheduled the relaxation massages and enjoyed every moment. We scheduled our appointments and were able to get in the next day. The staff made is feel welcome and comfortable, wed definitely go back! Ask for their specials, they had a great deal this month.

The massage itself was great however the ladies giving my husband and I a massage were laughing the whole time and speaking to each other in their language. Then come to find out they fraudulently took $40 extra dollars off my card I had to drive back to get it in cash. I’m glad they made it right however it should have never been taken in the first place.

Two strokes happened to me two years ago. However Ms Vivian help me to recover my strength on my right side which was damaged in my strokesIn addition, Ms V try very hard to help me not to hurt my right side again.Over all the staffs work very hard to keep the environments clean.

I would give it a 10 if possible. I called in late in the day for deep tissue massage and Kelly managed to get me in the same day. I got Misty as the massage therapist and she did a wonderful job indeed. I had an excruciating pain in my right shoulder and i felt so much better after the massage. And now two days later, i feel no pain and i would like to thank Wellness Spa for the best massage experience.

I booked an appointment weeks in advance for 2 full body 90 minute massages with 2 female massage therapists only to show up and have them act like they had no clue what was going on. We got there and the receptionist didn’t know we asked for females. They started super late because of that and then told us in the middle of the massage that they could only do an hour because other people were waiting. Very unprofessional. I also put that I wanted light pressure and the girl dug her elbow down my entire spine. I didn’t wanna be rude and say anything so I just squirmed and tightened my whole body to basically let her know she was hurting me but she continued! 2 days later I found a bruise on my lower back. Worst place I’ve ever been to.11/8/2021- RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE:We were not late!! We arrived 10-15 minutes prior to our appointment. YOU ALL started late because YOU ALL couldnt get yalls records straight and keep up with your appointments that were scheduled. YOU ALL started late because YOU ALL failed to see that when I CALLED and made the appointment I asked for 2 female massage therapists. Do not put the blame on me as to why the session started late. Ive gotten plenty of massages before to know that I need to get there early. Learn how to prioritize the appointments yall take and learn how to give the client exactly what they ask for so yall dont get bad reviews. POINT BLANK PERIOD!!

Misty and Anna gave my husband and myself a couples massage. We came in early morning and they were booked til late afternoon but took our number in case anyone cancelled so we could come in. No cancellations, but worth the wait! Misty focused heavily on my problem area in my back and made sure to complete the area before moving on. She also found other problem areas I didnt even know I had until she massaged them! My husband also enjoyed his massage and felt much relief! Recommend this place highly.

1sr and last timers. Went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Called in the morning and made an appointment for 2 - 90 minute massages. Arrived a few minutes before time and completed the paperwork. My massage started a few minutes late. My wife’s started on time. So far everything is normal.About 30 minutes into my massage I was laying face down on the massage table and heard the masseuse speaking softly. I didn’t understand what she was saying and asked her if she was talking to me. In English she said “No. Sorry” and then said a few more words in the other language and, apparently, ended that conversation. Unbeknownst to me, she had actually taken a phone call on her mobile during my massage and engaged in a conversation! Wow! I’ve never experienced anything like this during a massage before. Needless to say, her callousness really ruined the whole experience. The complete lack of consideration for the customer was very disappointing.

It was very strange experience.They didnt even ask if i want male or female therapist. Then though we did the exact same thing on request form one of the massuse used hot stones on my husband but not on me not claiming i had to indicate it on a form2 of them talked between themselves during massages. One of them sounded frustrated about something .My husband seemed to be more happier than me with his massage. Mine skipped parts of my body to massage while spending too much time on others.Then she was looking at amount of tip my husband waa going to leave pointing her finger on the amount she wants.The whole experience was not relaxing and lacked sofistication.Would rather spend another 50$ but receive a professional individualizing service ..not conveyer massage

This studio is in a beautiful historic building with high ceilings. I loved the atmosphere as soon as I walked in, and the whole experience was relaxing, pleasant, and fairly priced. My teenage daughter and I both got massages. Our masseuses were attentive and went the extra mile. Youll have to park a couple blocks away unless its past 6:00 p.m., but Wellness Studio is worth the walk.

This place is not really a Footy Rooty, its a massage place. It says open and walk-ins welcome, but thats not truly the case. I did have a massage here in January, with some friends, and we made a reservation, but got treated poorly when they realized we were here for Footy Rooty-type foot massages and not a full body (more expensive) massage. They put us in the foot-massage area and we had to wait 15 or more minutes before the massage began, I believe so that it was timed with the 60 minute massage that another person in our party was willing to take since they couldnt do 3 foot massage packages at the same time. Came here another time and the front desk staff as so rude, one barely spoke any english but still kept trying to tell me something, that it made me not want to return at the offered times. Who wants to be massaged by someone you feel as though you are inconveniencing. Clearly they have PLENTY of business and arent concerned with one negative review or they would be a little more customer oriented.

I came here for my bday to test myself to something nice. They were quick with getting me checked in and into my room. The young lady who was my masseuse did a good job. However, I had to tell her more than once that she was using too much pressure on certain spots. Which left me with aches and pains on my back and lower neck the next day.

Well going into a spa, usually not my thing. We this place was awesome. Clean, quiet, and professional. I had Wendy as my MT. She was so nice and very good. They pay attention to your issues and what you need. Highly recommend this place.

Been going to this place multiple times. I have some leg, lowerback and foot pain. The therapist they have are very professional and know which areas to focus. I feel relaxed too. I recommend if doing a full body massage go for 1 hours or so that they offer. They also have foot massage I recommend the 45 minutes or more to have the experience and relaxation completely. Its worth it. All the tensions I have on my muscles feels much better afterwards. Also, I recomend calling the place before showing up. I think it will be more clear for both sides about the service. All of their staff are very respectful too. They even ask if its too much pressure for you or not.The place is maintained and clean.Also Kelly, shes been very helpful and quick to respond to inquiries whenever I call the place to do reservation. Shes very nice and welcoming like everyone. If busy at the moment she atleast respond and tell you shell contact you back. They also confirm your appointment. Theyll call and message a day before and the main day. Never missed once to check back on me.Not other place keep you hanging. They understood and speak English. As a sign of respect they also nod to response as they say yes.Brought my whole family in and cousins, you name it! They all love the service.

I was down to Galveston for the first time yesterday, which was my birthday, and wanted to work a massage into my celebration. Timing wise I wanted to do it after Sunset so I could get a long sunset walk in. They didnt really have an opening at that point but stayed open late just for me (I learned after the fact) and gave me an amazing 90 minute mix of massage styles. The lady who gave me the massage (embarrassingly didnt get a card - Kelly maybe?) seemed very knowledgeable so told her to use her intuition and go for whatever style she felt was appropriate for me. I learned / experienced that I got a combination of ... well dont know the names of the styles formally but... she used warm rocks and oil, walked on back, did the traditional swedish style, and probably some other styles I dont recognize as Im no expert. I am an expert on this: I really like the massage and the person and the facility. Thank you for making my birthday especially special!

Extremely horrible. I made an appointment and when I get to the business on time I’m having to speak into a translator app with the receptionist who doesn’t speak English. After difficulties with the app I’m told they don’t have any massage therapist available now so I would have to make an appointment for a different time after my original appointment was pushed back an hour.

Called and made an appointment for the same day after work and had a great experience. Great value and wonderful massage. I will definitely be back and will request Kerry.

My girlfriend said the massage was great. When I came to pick her up one of the ladies at work there came out to my truck and was screaming at me until I gave her $25 after Id already paid for the massage.

The Wellness Spa was wonderful!!!!! We tried to find a spot that would let us have a spa day for a bachelorette party and this place delivered. They accommodated us with everything we asked them for. I wanted a relaxing massage while visting Galveston, and I found this place near the downtown Strand area of Galveston. The massage was wonderful and relaxing. They took the time to work out the tight areas in my back, snd I felt great afterwards. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and have a great massage.

Kelly and Selar* were very professional and accommodating. They even offered to pay for parking! Deep tissue massage with the stones is the way to go!

I’m use to people walking all over me but I have never enjoyed it so much. The only thing we regret about our couples massage is that we didn’t do it at the beginning of our vacation so we could have went again!

Whatever you do dont book online. Rearranged an entire day around what time the website said was an available booking. Arrived to be told no one was there. Very disappointing. Whole day wasted around this appointment. If the time slots arent available, take them off your website.

Got the couples massage and the out come was pretty much the same, this was not worth the money, this was pretty much the worst massage we ever got, I hate to say that but I can not recommend this place

This place isn’t professional at all . I first arrived there they were very rude .The only thing they did was rub lotion on you . Waited 15 mins for them to come in . They were very rude cause they didn’t get no tips . Wouldn’t recommend need more training or needs to be shut down not a real spa .
