Came in to buy a product of NO2 which was defective and the cashier even though I didnt take a receipt paid in cash and came back 10 minutes later. Remember me coming in and went above and beyond to make sure my product got replaced with one that worked well Even though she and little to no experience with the product category but was willing to work with me and be courteous. This is one of the best head shops in Gastonia along with some of the best employees

These people never keep their coils in stock for extract pens. They will sell you 80$ pens and won’t stock coils for any products. Had to go to Buddha’s it’s every single time I try to get coils for me or my wife’s stuff

I absolutely love this place. They have a wide variety of items smoking products along with some clothes. Incents & decorating items are there as well. They even have vapes. I got one on sale that was buy one get one free. Im looking forward to April 20th because they are having a sale because of 420. The location is easy access and there are other places in the strip mall. One being a place for a bite to eat. They are always open when I go there during the day. High Life is the place to go. They get five out of five stars from me! Thank you High Life!

I have given a 4.5 for years however I have changed my mind with my current experiences being I have left a bit salty with the productnot being in stock and price being on the high side with no deals or specials the last few months

Its bad enough that this place scans your ID to sell your info to marketing companies, but also they are ALWAYS out of everything! Very poorly managed!

Bought some concentrates from here and they barely gave me any for 31 dollars. Waste of money and time and it wasn’t even good quality just a soupy liquidy mess.

Friendly employees & a good location. The store always has nice vibes & the prices are fair. Its the only smoke shop in town I spend money at.

Usually pretty good stock and friendly staff. They dont let you test the vapes before leaving in case they dont work like most other shops-$50+ is a big loss if it doesnt work, & they dont do returns/exchanges. If its busted, youre just out the money. Also not thrilled that they cant order things, only request them. But overall pretty nice shop.

Came here bc the one in Dallas is never opened on time. Thank Goodness we came the vapes are all 4-5 dollars cheaper. My girl Becca was knowledgeable about the different brands and flavors. She was super sweet and now has 2 customers for life. I won’t go anywhere else

The store is always clean and well-organized, well-stocked with an interesting variety of items, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, especially Becca! Definitely worth a trip inside even if you dont smoke, theres much more to the shop than that. Check em out!

This place keeps absolutely nothing in stock. Just garbage 💯 keeps getting worse. Employees are super annoying with the ID asking to. It is a great way to drive customers away, which this company has no issue doing. If u wanna keep customers... how about keeping there product that they buy in STOCK!!!!!!!! Like how hard is that?

Honestly, many of the staff are just not very knowlegeable about the products they sell. That would be fine if they offered a refund when they give you the wrong information and the wrong product, however if you check out, consider yourself GOT. Be sure you are not buying Nicotine Salts for your OHM tank. The associate will not know you can literally die from this. Nor will they care that much. Make sure the Item is exactly what they say it is, because in my experience, 9/10 times, they dont know. Had one guy sell me a charger for a battery when I asked for a battery for my tank, he said, This is the only BATTERY we have, yeah it wasnt a battery.

BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!! HIGH LIFE does not stand behind their product they sell in the stores.Bought a 235 dollar Firefly 2+ at 11am on my lunch break. Ready to use it when I got home at 430 only to find out the product did not work like it was suppose too. Flashing blue and red lights each time you tried to heat it up. Charged it for over 2 hours thinking it was dead. Not the issue. This is a factory defect and after digging deeper online the firefly’s are known for the exact issue I am having. Called and talked to Gabe he says we usually don’t return them but since he was a few hours ago if I had reciept they would refund or exchange.Drove all the way back to be greeted by 3 little rude teenage girls who said they did know a gabe. I insisted on a manager so they call them and the woman comes back and says no.So am I suppose to just be out the 235 dollars because of a faulty product you sold.I don’t think that’s how it’s suppose to work.

Need new employees with better attitudes. Been in there over the years a couple of dozen times or more but 8/14 trip showed they have bad employees. Three were working, walked in went straight to counter where the product I wanted was. The two on that side of the counter literally ignored me and helped one customer each that came in after me. Then one employee walks right past me without even saying a word and walks across the room then comes back behind the counter and him and the other employee started chatting. Not one customer was in the store at this time....just me. The third employee working the other register never once acknowledged me. Finally after a few minutes or so...I was helped. Wont be back. The three guys there today need a different job.

This smoke shop was great went to 2 different ones to find a slick for concentrate and no one knew what I was talking about till I came here. Told the employee Cora what I was looking for and she knew exactly what I was talking about. She gave 10/10 service.

Went in the other day and didn’t really know what I wanted but recieved great customer service from a woman named Cora, really helped me fine what I was looking for.

Don’t go here for coils, they only sell them individually for 10 bucks a peice! You can literally buy a 4 pack anywhere for 20. Avoid this place if you have the option! When I told the cashier they are more than double the price anywhere he said “I know, but if you bring a receipt from somewhere else we will price match it! “ This store knows they are price gouging on certain items. SMH Like why take advantage of the community that you are in! Unfortunate business model! I will never be back! They can price gouge someone else!

This was going to be a bad review because a few times I came in some of the staff wasn’t as knowledgeable as they should be but this one guy in particular (Q or quayln something like that) turned it around I came in upset that I was sold the wrong coil and he took responsibility even though he didn’t make the mistake and fixed it quickly selling me the correct coil and also taking the time to educate me on a few other things I was interested in he seemed to a have a varied knowledge base which was impressive to be some guy at the head shop he turned the experience around all the while training new staff, putting stuff on the shelf and answering questions his coworkers had. I was very impressed and recommend anyone who goes there to ask for Q

Staff are awesome! They help you with everything you need and take time to explain all of your questions. I even got CBD dog treats for my dog that gets scared when my message tone on phone goes off no matter what I changed it too. 1st day she still avoided me. Today she will get in my lap. Several employees personally recommended them and they were right!! I found my store!!

I walked in, there was at least seven other people in the facility when I got there and as soon as I walked up to any counter I had someone come up right away and say they would be right with me with a beautiful smile on their face and then maybe 30 seconds later I had their help!!! I asked to wicked two different things they gave me their honest opinion of the two different items and brought up great suggestions! Thank you I finally have a water pipe I enjoy!!!

Walking in it was the same atmosphere but the cashier wasnt very helpful. Needed a few things and it felt like she kept trying to upsell me on multiple items. But she seemed very knowledgeable about all the products.

Nice staff, although Ive gotten the impression that the newer employees dont know anything about vaping or the hardware that goes with it. Been taking 15-20 min. for them to find my coils when I go in. They used to have really sharp, knowledgeable people working there...I dont know why the change lately

I revisited the shop after a few months, and this is still much more than a vape store. This shop has all kinds of neat stuff like candles, incense, fun gifts; and of course the best selection for vaping I’ve found locally. Becca was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Used to love the Gastonia store,but after my last few trips Ive been really disappointed in both the lack of useful stock as well as the lack of helpful employees.Sunday 08/23/2020 I visited for the last time. The majority of staff was out in the car not minding the customers coming in to the store. The employees inside the store had no knowledge about products being asked about I had one employee go get another who was clueless about glass pieces and components. When the outside employees came in all they wanted to do was play and cut up. Look I get it. Its a smoke shop and there is a certain vibe of a smoke shop, this was not that vibe. This was dont know dont care vibe. So we vibed our way up to your big green competition and got exactly what we were looking for and then some. I suggest that anyone looking for a knowledgeable but yet fun welcoming smoke shop visit the green shop with the little religious figure in the name.

Popular place, but not worth the hassle. The wait to talk to anyone behind the counter took forever, but it felt like I was bothering the sales person when I finally did. Not to mention that what I came in for was way over priced. Do more research on vaping equipment, including getting a feel for pricing before you go to a brick and mortar store.

So I guess they don’t care to hire or train anyone with common sense anymore. My deaf brother went in with a typed out list of everything he needed. They first didn’t give him batteries, then sold him the wrong coil and refused to exchange it and when they did finally sell us batteries they are dead and don’t work. Highlife will never get my business again, my brother felt like they were playing him because he is deaf and then to not take back the products you sold broken and wrong?? Absolutely horrible. This place has gone so down hill since Heather left being manager. Do not give them your business.

Ive been shopping here off & on for many years now, and Ive always left with what I went in for. My most recent cost was 3 days ago, and it was the first time I left with more then I had expected to buy. 😊 I wish I could remember her name, but the girl who helped me asked if I wanted to buy a disposable vape grab bag which I had no idea they even had those. (I was going in for disposable vapes and had told her when she asked if I needed help,so she kindly offered)I thought what the hell Ill try one. 😀The concept is GREAT and I would recommend them to others but I do have one tiny request if its possible ---> could there be non-menthol bags?? Maybe do non mentholAll menthol and then a mix.I personally cant smoke any thing menthol or ice (as the disposable vape refers to it)And my grab bag was literally all menthol except for one vape 😕 I really dont want to sound ungrateful...and love the concept... But if you guys could please consider my idea... Cuz Id really like to continue buying those bags...but I dont want to end up having to give what I pay for away because I cant smoke them...lol...

This used to be my go-to headshop, with amazing staff that knew what they were selling and a cool selection. The past 6 or 7 months I see they have new people and maybe new management and it’s a mess. I’ve been sold the wrong coils and e liquid four times and now it’s to the point where I have to double check before I pay. Because even if the employees grabs the wrong thing you asked for, they still won’t let you exchange. These kids don’t know anything about vaping and it’s to the point where I have to get my vape supplies elsewhere. You already charge high prices, and you continually sell customers the wrong merchandise, and won’t let them EXCHANGE THEM for what they originally needed? What a joke. Train your staff better.

Brittany was SO incredibly helpful today when I went to find something for pain relief after multiple hip surgeries and a lower back injury. I ended up buying two types of Kratom to try, the Bumble Bee brands of the Red Maengda and the Bali Gold. 40 capsules in each bag and only $9.99 each. I’ve taken them today, as she instructed I should, and I definitely can tell some relief.I highly recommend High Life - they are knowledgeable and don’t try to force expensive sales on you just for the sake of making a sale. They truly care about their customers needs and will help in any way possible.

Holy hell! Called here because I couldnt find Novo 2s anywhere and they had an overstock of them. The prices are amazing here. The reg price for a Novo2 device is about half what it is elsewhere. Juice is also the cheapest Ive found. 14.99 and 16 were avg salt prices which is internet price! Ive found a new favorite shop!!!

Went in and bought three disposables and one of them didn’t work still have receipt and all wrappers and box called the next day not even 24 hrs and will not exchange. Very disappointed.

Staff is friendly BUT dont EVER try to return a defective e-cig device. Bought SMOK pen vap and it started leaking 1st day. Took it back and the would not refund or credit towards another purchase even though unit was defective.Broke a glass ring and bought 2 replacement rings. The rings were supposed to fit but both were too tall for cap to screw on. They would not refund or credit towards another purchase as it was not within 5 days of purchase. THESE were clearly defective!They lost a patron today. I will go to KURE down the street as THEY will refund these purchases if product defective.

Felt very unwanted and the woman was telling me all the products I was requesting where either not in the store or out of stock! Thankfully a kind gentleman stopped me before leaving the store and got me the glass and coils I needed for my ride home or it would of been a lower rating

Overpriced & incompetent staff. Refused refunds on unused item even when I only bought wrong size do to cashier suggestions. Multiple problems in only a few transactions. Never again!

They were super rude, and their flower is trash. It was all shake, and their pipes break really easily. I would give zero stars if possible.

Staff told me to try my new disposable vapes off the to side so I did and one didn’t work immediately after buying it but since I stepped outside to get away from everyone they wouldn’t switch it out due to store policy.
