I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance and my husband got us lessons as a Christmas gift. Savannah has been our main instructor and she makes lessons so fun…it’s been our weekly date night. I started branching out on my own as well to challenge my skills and even compete. Whether you’re out to have fun with your partner or looking to really embrace your inner dancing diva, look no further than Fred Astaire Gilbert. They have all kinds of programs and levels to explore.

We had so much fun choreographing our first dance! It made it so magical and we had so much fun. The guests loved it and so did we!

We absolutely love this place and the people…both students and instructors! The vibe is always fun and it’s the best stress reliever. I recommend taking lessons with Gilbert Fred Astaire Dance studio for both couples and individuals.

We love Fred Astaire Gilbert! My wife and I took five dance lessons here to prepare for our first dance for our wedding. The whole process was fun, smooth, and inviting. We gave them our preferred song (Honey, Honey - ABBA) and we asked them to come up with some upbeat choreography for us to use. We loved what the end result ended up being. It was doable, but it also made for a fun and impressive dance to break out on the night of our wedding. We also had extra time in some of our lessons, so we had the opportunity to learn some social dances too (salsa, rumba, etc).We worked with Savannah throughout the planning process, and we couldnt recommend her enough. Shes a gem of an instructor!

Fred Astaire Studios in Gilbert is a great place. It’s not just a place to learn how to dance. My husband and I have found it to be a fun environment with a wonderful, caring community of people from the instructors to the students that we are lucky to call friends. The instructors are passionate about their profession. They are all patient and supportive from instructing the basic steps, to helping you learn whole dance routines, to encouraging you to perform in studio or compete at competitions if you so desire. We have been taking lessons since November 2022 and have loved every minute of it!

Ballroom dancing has been a lifelong passion and dream of mine to pursue. I finally decided to pursue this passion a few months ago and walked into Fred Astaire Gilbert one random day. I can honestly say that it has been one of the most amazing and life changing decisions I’ve made in my life. As a mental health counselor, I have an ethical responsibility to engage in self care. I look forward to my dance lessons each and every single week because I get to let go of everything and just dance. ALL the instructors are phenomenal, professional and incredibly kind. I highly recommend this studio if you’ve been thinking about ballroom dancing 😊

I am so excited to be a part of FADS Gilbert. I am celebrating 2 years this Friday. It has helped me physically and emotionally. I love it so much. Did a private dance class with two couples and had a great experience. We are all terrible dancers but the instructor was patient and made it fun and easy. Would definitely go again!

My wife and I wanted to set aside a night for a couple of weeks to do something different and get away from our 5 kids. We decided to try out this place based on reviews and recommendation from a friend. We have really enjoyed the lessons and the teachers. Taking dance classes has been a blast. After the first two lessons, we decided to take seven more and look forward to future lessons. Anton and Olga are wonderful people and teachers. If you want to learn basic Latin or ballroom dancing-this is the place. If you want to tour the world as a professional dancer-this is the place. We are so happy we came to this studio.

So have you ever watched someone dancing and wished you could too? Well guess what? You can! Can’t say enough about the Gilbert Fred Astaire studio. Anton and Olga, SJ and Savannah are passionate about dancing and they teach and encourage every step of the way. When my husband and I decided to look into dance lessons, after having been married for 46 years, so glad we landed here. Now we wish we had started sooner. We’re learning a ton and having much fun. You should give it a try too.

I am finally fulfilling two decades long dream!! My main instructor, SJ; studio directors, Anton & Olga; and Miss Savannah are extremely knowledgeable in the art, skill, technique, and teaching of ballroom dancing. They are all amazing and encouraging instructors. I thoroughly enjoy dancing and especially with my FADS Gilbert family!!

Beautiful studio! Nice space & fun staff. Everyone is incredibly encouraging and really cares about their students. My fiancé and I have had such a wonderful time learning our first dance. The owner, Lindsey, fast became our friend and confidante. She created such a beautiful routine for us and we cant thank her enough. Wed recommend her and her studio to anyone who wants to learn a new skill, get a great work out, try something new for date night, boost their confidence, and/or even start dancing competitively. Were so excited to perform at our wedding! Thank you Lindsey!!!

Any business owner that shows indifference, e.g. I dont care, or disrespect, is a red flag and should not be ignored. With that, I would not be able to recommend the FADS Gilbert studio to my family or friends at this time.I have provided detailed feedback to Olga and Anton and hope that current and future clients will have a consistently positive and professional experience, end to end, especially given the high rates charged for private lessons and competitions.The three stars are a courtesy.

Do NOT use their Groupon, it is a bait and switch. My wife and I were super excited when we purchased the two private 45 minute dance lessons on the Groupon app. However, when we arrived we were confused why there were three other couples there on the dance floor and random music was playing when it was supposed to be a private lesson. No big deal, we still had a private instructor.Our instructor then proceeds to give us a tour of their small dance studio by walking us to the bathrooms and then back to the dance floor which was a strange and unnecessary little sidetrack from our lesson. The bathrooms are clearly marked right next to the dance floor. After that he shows us a big poster on the wall with their different dance packages. He then explains that the Groupon lessons are just to learn the very basics of dance movements and steps and that there is no way that we will learn a full dance in just two 45 minute lessons. He proceeds to try to sell us on one of their dance packages before we have even had a single dance lesson with them. How are we supposed to know if we want to spend $500 on your dance lesson package if we have never even had a single lesson?Unfortunately, the red flags didnt stop there. Even though I had set up our appointment about a month in advance to make sure we had an instructor that could teach latin dances he informed us he could not teach Latin dances. He asked if we would be willing to learn another type of dance. Once again, not a total loss. We like Country style dancing, too. Lets just get this dance lesson started (it has now been about 15 minutes since our lesson once supposed to start).Our dance lesson began with instructions on how to grab each others hands and grab each other while dancing. Then it proceeded to us literally taking each other by the hand and walking around the dance entire floor. It was so basic it was almost maddening. For a minute I thought he was messing with us or that we were being pranked in some way. Finally, when we finally started to get somewhere with practicing the box step, another dance instructor interrupts everyones lessons by changing the country music and starting a dance train with everyone there. By the time that was done are lesson was virtually over. Then, before leaving, our instructor had the audacity to ask if we were going to purchase their bronze dance package. He mentioned if we purchased before leaving we could start the real dance practice on our next Groupon lesson rather than just discussing the basics.Needless to say we were not impressed. In fact, this is only bad Groupon experience we have ever had. We wanted to have fun, but it seemed like it was just an opportunity for them to try and pressure you into their dance packages. I want to believe their actual dance packages are great, because the other couples seemed to be learning things and having fun. Nevertheless, after our experience I am not going to risk the money. We didnt even show up to our second Groupon lesson that was already paid for because we felt it wasnt worth the 30 minute drive back. In the end, I have learned far more from dance tutorials on YouTube then I did here.

Great environment to try something new! Staff is friendly and the instructors are wonderful. We started going to learn to dance for our wedding and just bought more classes post wedding. Our wedding dance was so much fun with help from Bo who patiently worked with us for a few weeks before. We never thought post wedding we’d continue to go. Highly recommended.

This studio is phenomenal on so many levels. First, the staff and teachers are extremely warm and welcoming. They also explain the types of classes and levels of progression extremely well. No matter your age or dance experience, the instructors are patient and encouraging, and their methods make you feel like youre a real dancer in a remarkably short amount of time! If you have ever thought about taking dance lessons but thought it would be too hard to learn or are intimidated by it think again! The teachers here make learning how to dance fun. They take the time to explain and make sure you are comfortable with the steps. I take private lessons with Dimitre who is always encouraging and a fantastic teacher! The studio is also brand new and is super clean. I really enjoy the practice parties where students can practice what they are learning with each other. This is the place to be to learn how to ballroom dance!

Fred Astaire Gilbert is an Amazing dance studio. Lindsey and her team of dance teachers will really show you a great time while making it easy to learn Fantastic dances. The place looks so elegant and the energy is really fun. I definitely recommend you take lessons here.

This dance studio is incredible! Everyone greets you with a smile and seems genuinely happy to see you and be there and the lessons are top notch!! Lindsey has built a truly magical dance studio. From the moment you walk in, Paige and Addy greet you with a smile and make you feel special. The professional instructors all love what they do and want you to have the best possible experience. You will be so amazed at how you can move your body after just a few lessons. And the community Lindsey has created, you will find friends and dance and feel like you never want to leave.

I went to this dance studio because I wanted to surprise my wife with a truly special evening. I spoke with Lindsay, the owner of the studio, and asked her if she could help me plan a night to remember for my wife.Amazingly, Lindsay jumped right in and helped me plan a magical night. She arranged it so my wife and I could come in after hours. Then she and her staff set up items I’d dropped off at the studio: candles and flowers, which they arranged in the shape of a large heart in the center of the dance floor.As my wife and I walked in, they turned down the lights. My wife, still totally clueless to our efforts, thought we were walking into a business that had just closed for the evening. Then suddenly the candles came on and slow dance music started to play. I walked my wife back to the dressing rooms where the dance clothes I’d dropped off were already laid out.Still confused, I explained to my wife that we had the entire dance studio to ourselves with a private lesson from Bo. He was the gentleman who was going to be our dance instructor for the evening.When my wife appeared from the dressing room Bo greeted us with such enthusiasm, it made it really special. He asked us what we hoped to learn that evening, and explained what we would do to get there.Bo was great. He told us that he believed in positive reinforcement and that every time we got something right, we either had to hug or kiss! Even though Bo was in on it with my efforts to make things magical that evening, the positive reinforcement stuff was all him, and honestly, it made the night even better. Dont get me wrong, I probably looked more like a toddler whod been drinking shots of tequila than I did someone who was swing dancing, but Bos encouragement and patience made it all seem not so terrible for me.At the end of our lesson, Bo walked up and told us that we now had 20 mins to enjoy the dance floor however we liked. We started by doing everything he’d shown us that evening, but ended by dancing in each other’s arms. It was simply the best night I could have hoped for, and I owe it all to Lindsay and Bo. We will be back!!!

First time taking dance lessons and was super nervous. The studio was very inviting, the staff was incredibly friendly and Bo made us feel comfortable and like we had been dancing for quite some time. Super excited to continue our lessons.

Best studio in town!! HIGHLY suggest taking lessons with Ana! Shes so sweet, talented, and a very gifted teacher. If you want a fun night out or want to learn a new skill, this is the place to try!!

Had some amazing first few lessons with Bo! I’ve taken dance classes all over the state and on the east coast, but he’s the most clear, patient, and knowledgeable instructor. He is able to clearly and effectively help me understand the different ways I can improve, and I feel safe and comfortable in a judgement free zone! Thanks so much!

The atmosphere is amazing! Lindsey is an amazing business owner and the teaching staff at the Gilbert Studio are refreshing and talented. An all-around awesome experience and great learning environment!

This place has great teachers that are patient with those that need to count the steps out loud & tries to lead his partner (me) or for those like that can dance with anyone regardless who is leading them (my wife). Each visit we have there, it is more fun then the time before.

My daughter started dancing here with Bo when it opened and absolutely loves it! They created a program that is challenging but so much fun! Everyone is so kind and helpful! My daughter can’t wait to come each week and has learned so much!

Have worked with several instructors at this location, all are very positive and encouraging to new and repeat students. How fast you advance is up to you, the instructors will support you at whatever level or speed you wish to practice.
