Sylvia was super kind and truly helped me figure out what suited me best for my much needed haircut! I called ahead to schedule w a Groupon discount during the weekend and paid there. Excellence service and very accommodating.

Was interested in trying this place because of all of the good reviews. Unfortunately I ended up with the worst haircut I have gotten in my life. I had booked a wash, dry, conditioning treatment and haircut. The “conditioning treatment” was essentially a handful of some random substance which my hairstylist slapped around into my hair and let sit for 5 minutes. I tried to ask my stylist what he was putting in my hair and he mumbled something which I couldn’t make out. I followed up asking if it was maybe Moroccan oil, and he dismissively said yeah yeah something like that (so he basically would not tell me what he was putting in my hair). He returned after the 5 minutes smelling vaguely of cigarette smoke (yuck!).He then moved on to the haircut, which was a disaster. I had asked for long layers which I would be able to put into a ponytail. He responded that I definitely would be able to do that-unfortunately that was not true, as the shortest layers are way up near my ear (not sure how that counts as “long” layers) and I definitely can’t fit all of my hair in a ponytail. The layers are also horribly done-my hair looks a mushroom with one obvious layer way at the top of my head and the rest of the length hitting my shoulder. If he did add any additional layers, they are not visible. I also generally hate to use the thinning scissors on my hair as I prefer to leave it thick. I would have specified that if he had told me he was about to use those scissors on me-without a word he whipped out his thinning shears and rapidly hacked away at my hair. His technique was also terrible as my hair definitely appears like it’s been carelessly hacked at. I’m left with no choice but to wait for my hair to grow so I can get it fixed.In fairness, this review is based on only one hairstylist; given all the positive reviews I’m sure the other stylists must be good. I personally will not take the risk of returning.

Ive been to Scruples 3 times -- 2 facials and 1 Brazilian. All those times, Faye (we have the same name!) worked on me. Shes always so sweet and caring. Shes thorough and makes sure Im taken care of.The first time I came in, I was with my fiance. She accommodated our last minute request to have a couples facial.The staff at the front desk are also very helpful and proactive. They were so considerate when I made a mistake and Im very thankful.Scruples is a very relaxed and welcoming place. This is my go-to now!

I came in 3 weeks ago right before my graduation, which I had overall a good experience. They were great at fitting me in, everyone was super friendly and my hair turned out looking really good. However, I was somewhat disappointed in the transparency of cost and how my hair turned out. I did call prior to scheduling and the pricing they had told me over the phone was about a little over $100 of what they told me it would be at most with what I asked for exactly. The price I was charged was not unreasonable compared to how much I’ve been charged at other places in the past, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I was also very happy with how my hair turned out other than my face framing pieces which were started about an inch from my root. I’ve had a lot of events over the past few weeks and it just looks as if I had my hair done 2-3 months ago rather than 2-3 weeks ago which is upsetting when you spend this amount of money.

I’ve been going to Scruples Salon and Spa for the last four years!! I love Faye for all my waxing needs. She’s professional and has gentle hands!! Sylvia is amazing and made my hair look healthy and fuller with the hair treatments!! Highly recommend them both!!!

My first time at this salon and am super happy with the outcome. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this salon via Groupon and got courage to try a new salon on the day of my anniversary!Atra was excellent in her work, the hair wash was painless and no pulling of hair throughout the process🥹Perfect hair colour, as requested came out like my natural hair colour, perfect blow dry, asked for volume and got one! Thank you so much Atra, I’m going to stick to you guys! I also received a gift card for my next visit.

Rami is such a great hairstylist! I went in for balayage, cut, and style and I was in and out in under 2 hours! I e never had such quick and pleasant salon experience. I recently had the pleasure of having my hair styled by Atra and I couldnt be more thrilled with the results! She created stunning, big curls that exceeded my expectations. Atras skill and attention to detail are truly impressive. Beyond her incredible talent she is also incredibly sweet and made the whole experience delightful. I’ve never been disappointed every time I visit Scruples salon. They have such talented stylists that you can trust and you will always leave excited about your new hairstyle! Marsi did such a wonderful job with my highlighting and cut! Not to mention they were able to squeeze me in day of!

Let me start by saying my stylist (Atra) was great. I got full highlights, deep condition, cut and style. My entire experience with Atra was lovely. How ever, I can not say the same about the owner. I was told over the phone that toner would cost extra. I asked how much and she said $30-$65. I have fairly short, thin hair, so I was expecting to pay $30, maybe $40 but she charged me $50. I felt cheated. So for that, I probably wont return.

This was my first Salon experience in USA and the tremendous one. I went here for Single process Hair Colour and haircut . I initially met John and he gave me the best inputs for my hair. He made me meet my stylist Ben . I explained Ben about 3 shades to be seen on my hair - caramel , red and brown. He said he can work on it. I was little skeptical throughout my process cuz every girl loves her hair! 😉Ben had comforted me and explained me detailedly how it’s gonna work step by step.You can trust Ben completely as he’s very professional and give all the little details which u want and let him do the magic !! You will certainly leave the salon with a Big SMILE on your face . I really loved this salon and the way they welcomed. The owner was so amiable . I’m in love with this salon and highly recommend Scruples salon in Glenview.It’s been 2 months that I got my hair done and I’m still in love with how beautiful my hair looks ❤️.

I love coming to scruples for my hair! Overall, the salon is amazing in general! I’ve gone to Marsi a few times for a haircut and balayage and she has done an absolutely amazing job every time! She’s so sweet and always wants to make sure you are getting done exactly what you came for. I always walk out beyond happy with my hair and will be going back to her again. Definitely recommend this salon and Marsi as well!

Really Great Experience at this Salon! The Receptionist was very accommodating for last minute appointments. Ben did a Amazing Job on my hair. Even though it was just a wash & blow dry. Fay did a manicure for me. She made me feel relaxed and helped me get rid of the old gel nail I had left on my nail for so long. Also Fay made sure my nails were looking good before I left the Salon. This was by far my Best First Experience at this Salon. Will definitely be coming back!! Highly Recommended.

I recently moved and was looking for a new place to go for facials. I found a Groupon special for a European Spa facial and called to book my appointment. The Glenview location was easy to find and has ample parking. Fay was my aesthetician and she was AMAZING! The facial was very relaxing and thorough. My skin is GLOWING! I will definitely book more facials with Fay very soon! The owner provided me with a $10 coupon so I will book again with Fay ASAP.

Ben did an ombré balayage on my hair. He did an amazing job. This was my first time dying my hair and I was scared. But I was confident Ben will do a good job since I have been going to him for hair cut for several years now. Even though he is super busy I never feel rushed and he always do a fantastic job and always go above and beyond my expectations.

Groupon had a coupon for this salon highlights/colour, usual $150.00, the groupon was for 120.00. I called the Salon to see if they had an opening, they stated they did, I stated I had a Groupon, the salon person asked if I had purchased it yet, I had not. The Salon person told me he would give me the same rate, not to purchase it. I agreed to the $120.00 rate. I showed up for my appointment on time, only waited a couple minutes, the guy took me to the back, asked me the color, showed me the colors and proceeded to color and highlight my hair. When he was done it looked great! When I went to pay, the Person stated b ot would be $350.00. I can not tell you the heartattack I had! I explained to the person that it was agreed the cost would be $120.00. She stated the person had to use extra toner and color to cover all the gray, and then she stated she would take off xx for something and $30 off for the cost of something else, and the total would br $300.00. Shocked is all I can say, I NEVER asked for extra and it was never explained that it would cost extra! The stylist and reception stated it would be cheaper when I came back because it would only be my roots and provided a couple $10.00 cupons....I will never be back. Still in shock! Never informed of extra charges, soooo want to cancel the charge!

Came here to get hair and makeup done- makeup was five stars, so good! But the hair… she used a straightener to “curl” it, I told her I needed tighter curls bc my hair falls, I would like volume… I forgot who did my hair, but she put a braid in the back there that made it look even thinner… (no braid was in any of the inspo pics I showed her, so I’m not sure why she decided to braid it?)- hair fell within two hours and looked flat in photos… my sister could have done it better, and we paid good money for that, felt super rushed and didn’t listen to how I wanted the hair to be styled, not sure why some stylists just do their own thing after u show them multiple pics of what u want too…Edited to respond back to management since I can’t respond or private message: thank u, my full name is Catherine (Kasia) Heaslip, but I believe the reservation was made under Elizabeth (Lizzy) Long as it was part of her wedding party group back in September… we were just talking about her wedding again the other day and I was saying how disappointed I still am in the hair as it looked like I did it myself in her wedding pictures, (and I am bad at hair lol)- so really appreciate that if refund could be done, (might have been paid under my moms name, Aneta Long though).

Atra did a beautiful job!! My hair came out exactly how I imagined it and I am so so happy! Excited to take photos at my prom!! Highly recommend requesting Atra for hairstyles!

For anyone looking for a nice, clean salon with great service, this place is great! Sylvia did an amazing job with my hair and the outcome was exactly what I was looking for! I had a great overall experience!

This place was great. They fit me in for a cut and color with zero notice at 6 p.m. on a Friday. Marsi was super fun to talk to, and got the color I wanted (dark brown with violet) perfect. She also nailed the cut (couple of inches off with layers and side bangs). I got a spontaneous eyebrow wax, only the second time Ive ever had one in my life. I was kind of nervous, and she answered all of my questions and we had a good laugh through the process. I highly recommend her if you want to feel like youre hanging out with a talented girlfriend rather than a stranger who just happens to be doing your hair. Will definitely return next time Im in town visiting my folks!

Rami is excellent at cutting and styling hair. In addition, he does not waste time. His cuts (with skill) in a short period of time. I strongly recommend Rami. Rami meets the perfect trifecta criteria — cost, time, and quality (of cut).

I absolutely love this salon!! The best hair cut Ive ever had and I felt so beautiful after :) Ben was the BEST!! My hair looks perfect. One of the ladies at the front desk did my shampoo and it felt amazing!

We used Scruples for all the women’s hair in our wedding and we are so glad we did! They did an amazing job with everyone’s hair! As the bride, I was beyond thrilled with my hair for my wedding! It was gorgeous and held up the WHOLE night! Rami styled my hair and other’s. He is outstanding! But the rest of the hairstylists are also fabulous as well. All the bridesmaids’ hair turned out wonderful and last all night as well. I highly recommend you using Scruples for your wedding! We chose to go to the salon instead of them coming to us, and it was a wonderful experience. But I do know they also will come to you, if you prefer.

I’m leaving at three star review because I felt so undervalued as a client and as a returning client. I got an email to basically go back to the salon and I was excited because I needed a bang trim for my event tonight. So it was perfect for me to get that reminder. I called and let them know. I just wanted a bang trim. Nothing more. And I wanted to use the same person that cut my hair last time Freddy. He did amazing on my hair. The last time I was there told me to come back and he would help me with the look I’m trying to achieve with my bangs. Not only did Freddie not remember me I felt rushed. I felt like I was taking up space.He didn’t know what I was there for and he didn’t know I was a returning client. I understand they deal with clients coming in and out. I feel like maybe it should be notated somewhere in their system like oh this is a returning client that was new to our salon and you helped her before. I got in the chair asked if I wanted a hair blow said no try to talk about what I wanted for my bangs. I didn’t even get time to sit into the chair properly. The apron wasn’t tied on me at all. I felt so nervous and so in the way that I really didn’t get to describe what I wanted and I didn’t get the look that I wanted. I just felt like I had to get out of the chair. I’m not a rude client and I understand the service industry and that’s why I feel so not valued. So because I did not feel valued, I will not be returning back to the salon.

Marci is great with men’s hair. I have been getting my haircut here every couple months for the past four years and Marci has been great. I don’t get a haircut anywhere else!

This was my first Salon experience in USA and an absolutely fantastic one. I went there for Single Process Haircolor and a haircut. My stylist was Sonia. She and her team helped me decide the Haircolor which went really well with my skin tone. My haircut was done by Sonia as well and I simply loved it. I have very thick and wavy hair and I usually do not keep short hair coz if the volume but the Sonia understood how to go about it and the results were absolutely stunning. I am in love and I highly recommend Scruples.

I decided to go to Scruples to get my first haircut in over a year. I was nervous going in, but Jackie was so kind and professional that it made the process much more easing. At the end, she gave me a nice blowout and I was so happy walking out the door. I have never been so satisfied after a haircut. Thanks so much Jackie!!

Ben did my hair today. Super professional and polite. I showed him a photo of what I wanted and he did a great job executing. Even though I have very long and thick hair, he was very efficient and finished the whole cut and blow dry quicker than any hairdresser Ive been to before. The salon was clean and bright, and everyone was friendly. Definitely will be back! 🙂

I dont think Ill ever need to visit another salon other than Scruples GLENVIEW ever again. They have my business for life!Let me start with this; Ive had many, many people cut and color my hair in the past. My last salon visit (almost 4 years ago) ended in tears and 6 of my hair gone, due to the stylist doing whatever she wanted; ignoring what I had asked for. I have since learned little things to do my hair on my own.But through some gentle coaxing, John set me up with the sweetest stylist, Rami. He was attentive, gentle, and open to work with me on the length and style I wanted. I also had a Keratin treatment for the first time and Im now a convert. Start to finish, Rami was checking in with me and there was no question I was leaving until I was 100% happy. Very rarely these days do you find stylists/artists that are absolutely with you every step of the way. He worked quickly and very precisely. They have multiple signs on the front doors and in the front lobby mandating masks and social distancing, which I appreciated greatly. 10/10 would recommend to family and friends!

Great facial though the proximity to the salon isn’t wonderful. The front desk lady was a bit frosty but my aesthetician was incredible!

I came here for the first time and had Ben as my hairstylist. Ben is an absolute artist! He is extremely meticulous so be prepared to be there for awhile if you’re lucky enough to get him to do your hair. He listened to exactly what I wanted and used his own creativity to help me with choosing the color and highlights. It was a bit pricey but totally worth it with the results I got. This is probably my most favorite haircut I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back for all future hair needs to see him.

Marci did my hair. Felt rushed and didn’t follow the picture I showed at all really. Also kept saying intrusive, inappropriate questions and comments. Hair turned out ok but took a lot of work at home after the cut, so I won’t be coming back. Owner was very kind tho :)

I come here once in a while to get a facial. The team is very kind and great, I love meeting with them. I usually fall asleep which is a great sign they know what they are doing! The room is a little tight, and I have a hard time with small spaces. That is my only issue, otherwise great place:)

Superb service. I’ve been coming here going on 4 years with getting Brazilian wax after finding them on Groupon and I LOVE it here! Faye is awesome! My first experience 4 years ago I was nervous but I have no complaints and my sensitive skin is still manageable with the wax she uses. Amazing customer service from Faye the front desk and other workers. Wonderful atmosphere. Also I just started getting a facial for the first time a month ago and I plan to get it every month as recommended. Thanks Scruples

Ben did my Balayage, he gave great suggestions and I left it to him to decide on colors, I shud say he is the best. I’m very satisfied with the results. I got haircut and a balayage. Kudos to Ben ,he knows his job well. Moreover the salon was upfront related to the additional prices that I would have and did not have any last minute surprises.

Indeed this is a 5 star salon and spa. Expert hair cut by Jackie with detailed attention to texturizing, shaping, neckline; meticulous manicure by Margaret. Salon is expansive, contemporary, clean and neat. Of note, everyone including the owner was so welcoming, warm and genuine. Another reviewer mentioned great music and I agree. ADA accessible; easy parking. Just a great experience in every way.

I usually dont leave reviews like this unless I have a very bad experience. I went to this salon few days ago for hair cut. During my conversation with the lady hair dresser I decided to go for hair color as I was told its ammonia free. After leaving the salon my friends pointed out the hair cut was uneven and this was not what I expected. On top of this I started experiencing burning sensation in my eyes next day. Initially, I thought that it will go away and continued doing my work but it worsened towards the end of the day. After washing my hair few times the burning sensation in my eyes has improved but not gone. I am also loosing a lot of hair especially while washing it. I have used different types of hair colors in my life but never ever experienced this type of reaction. I am not going there again.

I’m so glad I found a very talented person for cut and color. I definitely recommend Ben at Scruples Salon in Glenview. He does a great job, and is professional and nice. Ben is also very thorough (especially important when coloring hair) and has a great attention to detail when cutting your hair. You can tell he loves what he does, and you leave happy because of that. I was also very pleased with the salon overall. The owner and her son are lovely people who definitely have put their heart and soul into making their business so inviting and successful. Everyone is warm and welcoming. They also offer a bunch of other services which I look forward to trying in the future.

I just visited Scruples Salon in Glenview- they were so accommodating to my husband and I last minute. Freddy washed, cut, and blow dried my hair in less than 30 mins! And this is the best blow dry I’ve ever gotten!! I highly recommend this place, especially Freddy! The owner was also very nice and friendly. Thank you, Scruples team!!

When I tell you this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a salon!! Ben took care of me in less than 2.5 hours. He did a full blonde Balayage and haircut. I have been in other salons for 6 hours and haven’t walked out with my hair looking as amazing as this. It’s healthy, gorgeous, AND they didn’t even have to do the color tonight since they were closed by the time I made it for my haircut. So very accommodating. So very happy with my hair. Wish I lived here, I would absolutely make this my salon.

I came in for a scalp treatment and eyebrow threading with Athra today and am super happy with the results! Athra really took her time to massage and treat my scalp. It was super relaxing and nearly put me to sleep 😆 Athra always does an amazing job with my eyebrows. I get compliments on my eyebrows all the time all thanks to Athra. The staff in general is very kind and welcoming and the salon is super clean.

From the second I set foot into Scruples I was welcomed with kindness and smiles! Jackie my stylist was amazing too! I had an idea of the colour and cut I wanted and she took that and made it better! She was also fun to chat with 😀 so so glad I found this salon! See you next time amazing team!

Been going here for years. I miss some of the pre-covid perks like the coffee but I always get good service, haircut, shave and professionalism.I would recommend trying them out if you are looking for a new salon or recently moved to the area

This was my first time here! I was a little nervous going to a new place but as soon as I met Freddy my hairstylist I immediately calmed down! He absolutely knew what I wanted and I felt comfortable with him! He did an amazing job on my hair and I LOVE IT! Definitely the guy to go to! Very nice and a joy to be around! Ninos did my eyebrows and he was very quick and efficient and did exactly what I asked as well! I’m very picky lol. Very good place to go to! Now I have a place I love and don’t have to worry about! :)

Updating my review to a 4:It took me two months for the haircut to grow out enough for me to like it. They were two very annoying months but I want to be fair in my review.Original reviewI would actually give this a 3.5. The salon is very efficient, clean and the people are lovely. However, I took off points for the haircut I got. I asked for a straight trim with a couple of face framing layers. The hairstylist told me you look good in long layers. I said that I did not want long layers and that it doesnt suit my lifestyle. I told him at least twice that I did not want long layers and also said that the cut he was giving was going to worsen my split ends. He kept saying long layers look good and proceeded to give me that cut. I needed to get a haircut that day and wasnt going to find another appointment so I stayed put. I decided to give it some time to see if it would grow on me, but I hate it. I cant wait to grow it out. Sure, I could have made more of a fuss but I had stated what I wanted clearly and repeatedly, and one would think going to a hair salon should not require the emotional load of asserting your rights. The place is otherwise really lovely and has a whole range of products and services, but the experience with the stylist I got was a sour point.

I got a terrific haircut from Ben. I waited to review until I styled it myself. Looks even better when I did it. No idea how he cut it but it looks thick and really lays beautifully. Highly recommend this stylist. I went there because I saw another woman with a really great cut and she recommended him. I’m hooked.

Finally got my European facial with Fay & it felt amazing! She took great care of my skin & was very genuine and friendly. Will def see her again.

This is my very first time for highlights with Avi. He is very knowledgeable what is good for me and what won’t work for me. He is very honest and does not try to get to pay more for something you don’t need. He is very patient and explained to me what to do to my hair. It took 4 hours to do my hair and it looks wonderful. My hair turned out beautiful and everyone at the salon is very nice. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend this place.

I recently had my first appointment at Scruples. The salon was very clean and everyone was very friendly. I was seen at my appointment time. I did a deep conditioning, wash, cut, and blow dry with Rami. He left my hair so shiny and smooth and it never looked so healthy. He did an incredible job- I won’t go anywhere else for a haircut!

I took my teen daughter here for some TLC for a haircut and highlights and we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodated a last minute, same day appointment. The stylist,Ben, did an amazing job with her hair. It looks beautiful!

My first time at Scruples was really great. I didn’t have to wait at all. My hairstylist was Freddy. He was really nice and did a great job! I don’t feel like it’s usually anything special when I get my hair blown out, but Freddy did an exceptional job. I really like how he did my hair. I would recommend going here.

Three visits since last yearMy first visit was great loved the stylist. Professional and nice, friendly personality. Also received $10 voucher.Few months down the line I received an alert from Groupon that was offering a $45 haircut for this place. Their cuts are usually $55 and this was discounted and I bought it.Second Visit: My preferred stylist was not available needed a cut nothing special. I had hair longer than shoulder length wanted shoulder length hair with layers and side bangs. The stylist started complaining that I had too much hair on my head right away. I told her what I want and then she cuts me a shorter than chin level inverted bob and said my hair texture was not right for the requested cut. I still tipped her which I regret. After the cut I went out to make a payment, the owner Nina was processing. I told her about the Groupon voucher she said we don’t accept that. I said it’s fine and started to pay, she charges me $65 and asks me if I had $10 voucher from my first visit I didn’t have it. I didn’t care just wanted to be out of there. My hair was ruined and Nina talked down to me. Groupon refunded me the amount right away.Third visit: With my preferred stylist I like her so went back again she was nice as always. Paid $70 for the cut and tipped her. When I checked in for the cut I felt like I was not welcome. Needless to say I’m not going back there again.

I get my hair cut by Rami and I have literally never had a bad haircut. I have had dozens of haircuts by him. I also have had several haircuts from Barb... same thing never a bad hair cut. I’m not just saying this because I like them.... honestly never a inconsistent or bad haircuts. Before finding Scruples I would say half my haircuts would be bad in my eyes because I’m particular.Its fair priced for the quality of work they do.The owners are great and they treat everyone like family. All the staff is accommodating and very good at what they do.Simple advice to anyone that’s never been... go... you won’t regret it. I read the one star reviews and these people must have been drunk.

Amazing facial! thorough extractions, which is exactly what I wanted!! I am so satisfied and never even leave reviews typically. Definitely going back. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Every time I’ve come here, they always do an amazing job. Sonia and Rami have both cut my hair before and they’re both talented. I showed Sonia a picture of how I wanted to cut my hair and she did exactly how I wanted it. Rami always makes sure I’m pleased with how my hair turns out.

I saw the offer for Brazilian wax on group on. Then i called to make a reservation, and the receptionist told me I don’t have to buy it online because they have the same prices in the salon. I chose Nadia, she comfort me with a pillow and finished everything in less then 15 min! She cleaned everything very well and was really nice and professional! Spend 19$ plus tips, which is a really good price for a Brazilian! Will come back for next appointment!

Carol has been cutting and doing low lights in my hair for 2 and half years. She listens to what I ask for and consistently gives a great cut and the natural looking color Im looking for. I went from a shoulder length bob to a medium pixie a few months ago and never regretted it!

I was looking for a good place to get my hair done. I got a little tired of my very blond highlights since I was doing it for couple years now, and I found Scruples! Location is awesome, very easy to find it lots of parking space.I was never in that salon before, so I was a little nervous at the beginning. I got an appointment, same day when I called which is awesome because I really needed one.I got an appointment with Marsi. She helped me so much, gave an advise, explain what’s the best for my hair. I’m very pleased and happy with what she accomplished! She did a low highlights, which look fantastic! I got lots and lots of compliments! I got a quick and painless Brazilian by Nadia who was super friendly and knowledgeable. I was a little wary as I had experienced a pretty painful first wax, but was pleasantly surprised with this one!! Highly recommend Nadia who was very professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the wax.

The manager (John) is super nice. I went for a haircut, Moroccan oil treatment and style and eyebrows threading. NINOS is the best!! He was quick, efficient and Im very satisfied overall. I showed him a picture of a model but he made it look even better than the actual picture. I like the atmosphere of this salon too. I loved the experience!

Came to Scruples for the first time today, having made a same day appointment. The receptionist was really helpful in booking the appointment over the phone and was kind in person. My appointment started on time. The salon has a great vibe and most importantly, Ninos did an incredible job from wash to cut to blowout- I could not be happier! I walked in with an idea of what I wanted and shared it with Ninos during our consultation (a trim, some layers and some face framing) and he delivered exactly what I asked for. I really appreciate that he checked in along the way to make sure I was comfortable with the length overall and where things were landing. Strongly recommend asking for Ninos when you go, he’s earned my trust and business! I will definitely be coming back.

For someone who doesnt really care too much about their hair, I can definitely say that Scruples has changed my look for the better. They have great stylists that make you feel comfortable, and have great conversations. Barb is my stylists, and I would recommend her to everyone who likes to talk and hear great stories.

Not sure how I ended up with two different colors of brown in my hair, not once but TWICE. Even after I voiced my concerns that the top of my hair was looking much darker than the rest of my hair, I still got a color that did not match throughout my hair and was blatantly obvious. This place is far too expensive to not get an even color twice and to have the hair stylist give you a blow out and pretend it’s all fine. Very disappointing

Absolutely a business of kind, caring, professional MIRACLE WORKERS who truly cherish their business and clients!! I had gotten my hair cut here before (pre-Covid), but moved and figured I would try a place closer to home. It was a mistake, and I called Scruples in tears asking if they could fit me in same-day to fix a haircut that looked as if I stuck my head in a wood chipper. The gentleman at reception who answered the phone assured me not to worry, they’d take care of me, and he was NOT WRONG!! The universe blessed me with the stylist Avi, who is a genuine, devoted, gracious, kindhearted human being who reassured me he could fix my botched, too-short, atrociously erroneous haircut done by the other salon. I told him he could do whatever he needed to just “fix it.” And he SURE DID!! He described exactly what he was doing and the reasoning behind it through the whole process, told me how much he loves cutting my hair type, and even explained why which tools work better for what look. He made small funny comments and jokes the entire time to cheer me up. I genuinely hope he could see my face continuing to light up as he worked. The smallest details he adjusted made the biggest differences! He truly is a master of his craft and his passion for what he does shines through! At the end of the cut, he gave me some helpful tips about my hair that I had never heard of—I’ll let you go ask him yourself instead of giving away his secrets here! But Avi, you’re a miracle worker and you did wonders for my confidence!! And to the gentleman at the front desk, thank you for everything!! I cannot thank the team enough for how they treated me today!! You have a client for life!

My stylist was great and he did a phenomenal job. My only gripe is that prior to purchasing the Groupon for a full head of highlights, hair cut, and professional blow dry at $109. They said they would honor that price. What they didnt inform me of is that they charge for using a toner. Any salon Ive ever been to and general common sense is that highlights REQUIRE toner on order for them to be a certain color. So on top on the additional charge for toner, I just requested that they use Olaplex when washing and conditioning my hair. When I went back to the rinsing bowls, there were huge bottles if Olaplex there so why would I think it would be another obscene charge. All said and done, I ended up spending $245.00 on services that could have be rendered at a different salon fit a fraction of the price. Pretty classless and feel taken advantage of.

My 10 year old daughter with long, fine hair managed to get it so tangled that I couldnt fix even 1/10th of it after putting 6-7 hours into it at home. I decided to take her to Scruples. Barb at Scruples took on the challenge and with amazing gentleness, persistence and patience untangled all her hair. It took her 3 hours. After that, my daughter got the her first full salon shampoo, conditioner, trim & blow-dry treatment leaving her feeling really relaxed and looking good, and me feeling extremely grateful. I found this deal on Groupon for two Brazilian waxes. My initial appointment was scheduled with Nadia but I came early so she Gave me to Fay trying to make it seem like she wanted me to get serviced sooner but she really just didn’t want to do my wax is what it seemed like because she walked around and did nothing. Fay was polite but I experienced the most painful wax ever with her. She starts and doesn’t stop or give you a chance to breathe. Everywhere else I go they pat after every rip but not here. I obviously came back for my second wax as I paid for it already so didn’t want to waste it. This time I made sure I saw Nadia. I wanted her because of all the good reviews. Nadia is very nice but she also does a painful wax. When I got home I noticed blood that’s how bad it was. This was nowhere near my first wax I’ve been waxed at many different places and this by far was the worse waxing experience I ever had. I will never come back! All of the staff are very nice and im not sure about their other services but if you are looking for any type of waxing I would not go here.

I went the Scruples for the first time yesterday and i had a good experience. John at the front desk is very friendly and helpful, and squeezed me in for an appointment at the convinient time for me. And my hair stylist Avi is amazing. It took him 3.5 hours to do my hair because i have so much hair. it was even past their close time. He was very petient and friendly and understood what i wanted very quickly. My hair color turned out beautiful!

I came in with a groupon for a cut, deep condition and style. Everyone was very welcoming with smiles. I had an appointment so I checked in with the desk lady and she sent me off with the stylist. He was nice and immediately sat me down to wash my hair which was a really nice experience but the massage could’ve been longer. From there we went on to the hair cut. He asked me what I want and I told him just a microcut. He started brushing my wet hair from TOP to bottom and I was horrified. He’s has a strong hand and he was brushing very hard through my hair very hard. I have a sensitive scalp and I take medication so my hair comes out very easily. I did not appreciate the roughness, I don’t even brush my own hair that way. Halfway through the cut I realized he didn’t do the deep conditioning.Anyway in the end he did cut off how much I wanted but when I divide my hair in half the left side is longer by 1/2 inch compared to the right side. This is because there was no sectioning done. My hair is thick and to make sure the cut is even and to make sure the inside is cut, it needs to be sectioned. The cut overall was rushed. The blow dry he did was professional and my hair of course looked beautiful after because I have thick extra long hair which I never apply heat to myself.When it came time to pay, the desk lady forgot I had a groupon and tried to charge me full price. I reminded her and she adjusted it. You guys need to work on your communication and the stylists need to be a lot more gentle on hair and scalp.I recommend to other customers to bring their own brush and brush their own hair after the wash/treatment. You will feel a lot better.

I had my hair cut & colored by Carol recently. I LOVE IT!!! She did a balayage and I get compliments on it all the time now. Also very reasonably priced for the upscale look & feel. My husband sees Rami & he is the only person he likes to cut his hair now. And about a year ago, Avi actually corrected a BAD haircut I had gotten at a pricey salon in downtown Chicago and it was amazing. He’s also cut my son’s hair and is so good with children! Everyone is friendly & welcoming. We also go here for pedicures and the women all do great work!

I came in this salon for a pedicure and haircut/color and brows. The tech who did my pedi was Muna. I am very particular about my pedicures and how my nails should look. Shes got great attention to detail and technique. Perfect pressure for scrub, very relaxing. She was so lovely and down to earth. I was impressed with the cleanliness, quality of work and excellent service she offered. I was so happy with her! I will only ask for her from now on.Next was my haircut. I asked for Sean, he is amazing! He listens to what you need and knows exactly what you mean even when you dont articulate it well. I also let him color my hair, it turned out fantastic! It looked so rich and shiny. The product he used worked like magic on my hair. I never seen my hair look so healthy . I get compliments everywhere I go. He has got himself a repeat customer forever!Finally I asked if they had someone to clean my eyebrows.I am very particular about eyebrows as well. This time Aster did them. She did incredible work. She took her time and gave me a very nice shape. She made them look fuller and very even.I am looking forward to return to scruples for my services. Excellent Work!!!

When you call you better have your guard up because the receptionist will make you feel awful. Whoever the lady was on the phone that day was so rude to me. I couldn’t believe it, didnt want to list the prices and said the manager will call me, because she didn’t want to deal with it, but then went ahead and told me anyways. I wasn’t asking rocket science. I went and made the appointment because I had been there before. I had Anna she was nice, didn’t do what I wanted but she didn’t great work....I ended up canceling the next day, I didn’t deserve to be treated the way I was....

I am extremely particular when it comes to this mane of hair i have, that being said, a really fantastic experience there today. Arrived 5min early and was seen right away by Ninos. The rest of the staff is super friendly and especially to my 2 year old son running around lol Cant say enough good things! Ninos took off alot of damaged hair without taking away length just like i asked him to and took his time to style my hair just right... A very professional and personable stylist, I highly recommend him!

Came here for a wax. Very clean! Very professional. First time here. I had Nadia help me. She was great. She was great! She explained everything and did it quick and very well. It was almost painless. I would definitely recommend this place for services. I plan on going back not just for waxing but for hair services as well!

I had a Brazilian wax for the second time here and it was the worst experience (compared to the first). The attending person was in a hurry to complete the task that she went through the process too quick leaving the area being waxed with spotting (blood came out of the hair follicle). She did not apply talcum powder (unlike my first time here) which made my skin stick to the wax. I called and complained immediately when I felt burning sensation a couple of hours after but they said it was normal and skin in that area heels quickly. I experienced scarring which left bumpy and dark skin. I would rather buy a waxing kit and do it my self than come here again.

Yesterday was my first visit to Scruples Salon and Spa. Ben colored , cut and styled my hair. I LOVED everything about it. Ben did an amazing hair cut on my naturally curly hair. I love the cut, color and curls. My hair feels so soft and frizz free. The price was good. I would highly recommend Scruples and Ben! Ben made my hair feel and look beautiful! He has a great personality and asks questions along the way to make sure I received the cut and style I wanted. I left it up to Ben!

I come in the scruples every time I am in town. My mom regularly goes to Rami and she absolutely loves him. He knows exactly what to do with her hair and how to stray her away from ideas that sound good but won’t work with her hair. Very knowledgeable! Ruba did my hair this time and she did an incredible job! We killed off all the dead ends, toned the hair back to a beautiful platinum, and did a wonderful Moroccan Oil hair mask that left my hair feeling incredible. We love you Scruples!

This place is amazing. You walk in and the greeting is professional and well kind. I chose this place because of my friend. I purchased a groupon but the lady I went to didnt take groupons. But they still honored the services for the same price! Not many places I know does that, so I was very happy. The first time I went I dont remember the womans name but she was extremely informative and gentle. The second time I went was even better! The front desk receptionist remembered me ( I felt really cool) She was so welcoming. My aesthetician Faye (Sorry If I spelled her name wrong) was professional. She made sure I was comfortable and we even laughed and joked a little. Will defintely come back!

I had high hopes for this place because I kept coming back for different treatments thinking I’d get better results. But every single time I come here I’m disappointed. Especially with today, I asked for simple long layers and when I got home I looked at the back of my head with a mirror and all I could see were choppy as* cuts. Not a single layer was seen.

I am not one to report a bad experience, but I want to let people know this was a waste of $70. Went in for a no chip manicure and pedicure and the place was COVERED in bits of hair. There were coffee mug ring stains, dirt, etc. all over the nail area. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Really do not think this place is sanitary. There was hair everywhere and it was incredibly weird. Do not go here. Seriously.

Worst manicure I have ever had! I got a no chip manicure and 4 of the nails chipped in under a week. I went back to get them fixed and they would only fill with one coat. You have to wash your hands in a pedicure sink. Horrible! The actual manicure was aweful...did a horrible job! Very, very disappointing!

Anna was fantastic and gave me a great cut and color. My pedicurist was very quiet which was ok. My manicurist was great she talked offered beverages Very nice visit.

The place is really pretty and well kept. Staff was very friendly. BUT I really wasn’t happy with my highlights at all. The highlights were about half an inch away from my roots to begin with and the color was just oddly gold. Completely missed the mark.

My hair came out with the foils, then they charged me an extra 60$ for a processor on top of the 100 hair color where my hair fell out with the foils.. Thank god i have thick hair to begin with.. Never. again.

Did a great job waxing and is so friendly and real. I am super impressed with the quality of her work and she does a great job with the least pain of any place I have been.

I made an appointment, arrived at the scheduled time, checked in with the receptionist and then sat and waited...and waited....and waited. I had plenty of time to look at the filthy furniture in the waiting area. After 30 minutes I got up and walked out. The receptionist called me later and asked if I wanted to make another appointment...what a joke. A really poor first, last and only impression of Scruples.

I recently got a bad haircut and I wanted to go to a place where I was guaranteed a good haircut the receptionist John was very amiable and had good customer service at the salon the stylists were very professional and had a lot of experience I am very sacrificed with my experience there and I would definitely come back again and am going to recommend it to all my friends.
