Log Cabin

The Log Cabin has really good subs and other food options. Its a bar but they do serve food all night.On Friday and Saturday night they usually host live bands.The overall appearance of inside the bar needs to be upgraded and remodeled. However, if your looking for a place to just relax and unwind without people judging you. This is a great place to go.

Everything is what they have started, please buy drinks….with instructions you will get exactly what you need. The Karaoke is what you need!!!

Lovely dive and live music bar on Division. Given the name, it does give you the sense of an up north bar in a good way. Very few frills. Friendly staff. Drinks are priced well. Bar food (fried things, burgs, wraps, etc.) available from the kitchen.Pretty much every day of the week there will be something going on in the evening. The karaoke is a very for the people karaoke, so dont be afraid to belt it out. Good mix of locals hanging out, 20- and 30-somethings after beer league softball, that kind of thing. If you like dives give this place a try.Also note, the parking lot can be tricky, but there is street parking available too if you have a larger vehicle.

This is the best little bar I have ever gone in they had a live band their drinks are strong and I cant wait to go back their was some great people there as well

Its your typical but theyre not as hard as most everybody get that long listen to the listen to the band play all in all it was decent . They do have food I just didnt order none. But from what I was told are there food was pretty good

I totally love this place! It is definitely a diverse atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, the customer service is great, the food is excellent. I definitely would recommend this to go either celebrate or have a nice quiet afternoon, having a drink and getting some food. This place is awesome! They also have karaoke and a band sometimes and like I said its and diverse atmosphere so anyone can go. Any color or any race.

Initially, these onion rings were a complexity to judge the appearance of. This was not due to some mysterious quality of the rings, not yet seen in my extensive travels, but simply that the bar was remarkably dim. Thankfully, Lois and Anna provided sufficient illumination, through a copious dose of cell-phone flashlights, that I could get a proper read of the situation.These onion rings are, in short, relatively inoffensive. They have a reasonably consistent golden brown color, and a fairly consistent covering of the bread. Perhaps, with the cave-like atmospheric lighting of the bar, the Log Cabin was hoping to hide some of the malformed rings from a discerning view; the broken half rings, the double rings fused together, and so on. As always, this attempt a subterfuge failed.Presentation wise, its about as bare bones and classic as it gets. A large heap of onion rings exploding beyond the narrow confines of a classic red-and-white checkered cardboard box, a deliberate plating attempt to make the onion rings seem greater in quantity than they truly are.Much like the increased power of other senses when one is lacking, like a blind woman with marginally improved hearing, the blackened interior of the Log Cabin may have been a clever attempt to force diners to assign a greater value to taste to what would otherwise be insufficient flavor.To an extent, it worked. The batter, with a light and fitting coating of the quintessential onion ring grease, was reasonably well-seasoned, though probably with no more than salt and pepper. While the breading, like Icarus, tried to touch the sun, the catastrophic failure to deliver an onion taste was the collapse of his contrived wings, and what caused the taste of these onion rings to hurtle down to oblivion.In short, there was basically no onion taste. One could be forgiven for assuming that these were little more than moderately well-seasoned circles of breading wrapped around a pale faux-facsimile of an onion, perhaps made of cardboard or wood pulp. The onions were cut far too thin, and the rings themselves fried for far too-long, for any onion taste to survive the cooking process. Additionally, when I ordered, I was promised a tantalizingly mysterious bistro sauce to accompany the rings, which was noticeably absent from my final order.The Log Cabin is little more than a den of deception, preying on the frailty of human sensation and memory to spin a devious web of lies and insufficient taste in onion rings.The web of deception continues with texture. On ones first bite, one could think that these onion rings are sufficient, even bordering on good. A solid crunch permeates the batter, and theres nary an instance of the dreaded slippage.Unfortunately, these positive attributes are solely the result of failure. These onion rings were dreadfully overdone, leading to the thick and crunchy texture, and the lack of any slippage. What little shreds of onion there initially were in these onion rings, thin-cut and meager though they were, were destroyed by the frying, with all the sweet juices (and taste) removed before they were plated.The onion texture wasnt bad, per se. It was more completely absent and hardly worth mentioning than anything else. Even the name of the dish, an onion ring, is deceit.When all is said and done, $3.75 yielded a medium sized mound of overdone onion rings, lacking in onion taste, but with a few dashes of flavor mixed into the batter. Id be shocked if these were anything but frozen, and while the quantity was reasonably good for the price-tag, the quality left much to be desired.With regards to onion rings, the Log Cabin is little more than a den of deception, preying on the frailty of human sensation and memory to spin a devious web of lies and insufficient taste in onion rings.

Great local bar - after a few visits your name and drink order are remembered. Friendly staff, great prices, good variety of entertainment, and great food. (I highly recommend the chili cheese tater tots!)

This is a great place! Come here to spend time with friends, meet new friends, have a date night, or for a birthday. Its definitely my favorite bar in Grand Rapids. Theres karaoke on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays. Check it out!

Good food. Friendly fast service. amd everything at a decent price. They were able to seat my birthday party, which was greatly appreciated. I would come here again and again.

Matt, Sherry, and staff are the best. We recently had my husband’s retirement party at the Log Cabin, and they did an outstanding job of providing great food and entertainment. They have live music every weekend and their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend.

Our volleyball team has been coming here almost every Thursday night for nearly two years. Service is excellent. Vibes are immaculate. The bartenders are wonderful. Its a 10/10 experience every single time.

Exactly as promised (other than lack of logs), Log Cabin is a fine place to get basic drinks and standard bar food. They host many events during the week so there’s always something going on.

Great little find here. It’s cozy, well stocked and the bar staff were amazing. They had live rock music the Friday evening we stopped in that was actually quite good.

We’ve been here twice and it was fantastic both times. Our orders have been cooked perfectly, even with modifications. Everyone was so friendly. The curbside pick up was awesome & I am so thankful for their thoughtful note thanking us for supporting local during COVID-19. We will definitely be back!

Awesome and super fun neighborhood bar. They have some great activities and the drinks dont hurt my wallet. So if youre looking for a new place to visit, try skipping that over-priced brew-pub and give this place a go. Youll probably end up making a new friend or two during the process. The band Brena was in the house, and they were phenomenal. Five Stars To Them!!!Classic music through popular dance music of today, as well as the best rendition of The Devil Went Down To Georgia Ive ever heard....a surprising upgrade to the original. The crowd was diverse and pleasant. The employees did what they could to compensate the thirsty dancers as they seemed short staffed, but they worked diligently, and served with a smile.

This was a huge hit last night and a great place to meet up with friends and make new ones! The music is amazing, and the live show was perfect. The food is great and the drinks were very nice.Check this place out.

The band has alot of problems with their music tonight so that was a bummer. I dont really care for the way they have the tables set up all in a row, just seemed like a panel of judges staring at me while I was dancing. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The cabin itself needs some updating.

Bacon wrapped cheese sticks and a Monte Cristo. Best Monte Ive had in years I enjoyed my visit immensely and will for sure be going back when Im in town. The people were friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Great time all around great place indeed.

They had a good band playing which meant no place to sit! My friends said on a normal day that it has a fair amount of sitting places with a minimal wait. The shots and drinks were good. Ill have to go back to check it out again.

Great service. Orders got messed up a little but we figured it out. Nukes burger needed seasoning but good. Olive butter had mayo with just sliced olives on it. It should be an olive sauce.

Drinks tasted watered down both times we drank there. And the oj was possibly outdated or bad in our tequila sunrise. Even saw the lady look at the oj before she poured it (like she was checking to see if it was good.) The wet burrito and deluxe nachos were terrible. But their burgers are amazing!!! Its a so so rating from me

I like the style of the bar here, it is more or less circular so you can see everybody. Ive been there before and it can be hit or miss as far as the fun goes. I have been there on a Saturday and the band and crowd was rocking!

I like dive bars, and this one is just okay. I come here on Wednesday nights, as its the sponsored bar to our softball league. However, it seems theres only ever one waitress working. And we end up waiting a while for our beer, and even longer for our food. Which, tortilla chips and cheese shouldnt take very long at all to nuke. Given that its a sponsored bar, and theres tons of people there from the league, you think theyd have more staff on hand. Otherwise, the prices arent bad. And the beer is cold.

Great place to hangout with friends or if yuu need a few drinks after work. Drinks are priced reasonably and they dont skimp on the alcohol. Food is really good, beer pong tourneys Monday and Wednesday and 100$ cash price beer pong on thursdays! Great place to watch sports, live music Saturdays :)

When you cancell all the daily happy hours special & not change your promos online is a bad thing. Other than dropping the ball on that....decent MAGA hat crowd during Happy hour. tho.

Extreme rude older lady...I think she was the waitress or manager or maybe the fill in bartender how ever she wasnt great at any of those positions so regardless of her position she should either take some strict etiquette or personality coursesand she should probably enroll as quickly as possible.otherwise Im afraid to be the bearer of bad news however she should just hang up on any customer service position or or if a position requires her to have human contact/interaction of any sorts than she should just quit while ahead! Because I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that Lady was doomed! The customer serviceshould have been impeccable considering the food was greasy soggy tasteless and honestly subpar!

Ive been in on several different evenings and ordered with different staff members and everybody has been incredibly friendly. Food always comes out fast and is very delicious. Drinks are great.

Not alot of room for friends. And alot of patrons there are rude. Too the the point its like there trying to start drama. Other than that the food isnt bad. And there drink prices are good. Best to go when there not too busy.

I overheard the bouncer say to one of the patrons oh yeah I I bet shes tweaking because I misplaced my ID and was looking for it and was a little flustered and had to leave and couldnt find it it was very unprofessional and it was the first time Id ever seen this club act so horribly and Ill never go back well Ill never go back cuz Im across the country but I would never go back if I was still in Michigan, it was a bad look.ps youre a bar

Went out with my daughter, she’s 21. The manager Bob was hitting on her very aggressively & later that night she mentioned he groped her, on several occasions. STAY AWAY.

Didnt go, it was Thanksgiving Eve and I couldnt get a reservation for a seat. Had a hip replaced recently and I have to be able to sit. So we didnt go

ATTENTION ALL BAR MANAGERS!!Im not a fan of the outside motor vehicles reving up their engines or booming their music... So for my concern and my neighbors please turn off your engines and sound systems I sleep on the upper floor and every night I hear n feel the vibrations of the car sounds and so can some of the neighbors from the other side of the street.. crazy but its always around 12-4 a.m. come on guys thats when folks are trying to sleep.. Btw I got school in the morning and if I cant get a decent sleep around here cause of a bar.. a complaint is going to be filedSo please turn off that bumpin music and bring it inside the bar not outside, where it sounds like a earthquake is shaking my beds n wallsSincerely,One of your next door neighbors
