This place is really fun! The staff are kind and it’s just a fun place to be. They do pour a little heavy on drinks so keep that in mind, the second floor isn’t usually open on 18+ nights, but it is one of the best 18+ and gay bars in GR.

I was assaulted in line by a group of about 4 guys in line and the security guards at the door who witnessed the incident did not intervene or ask if I was okay but proceeded to kick me out of the line. As a woman I do not feel safe in their venue. And I would like to warn other women that this bar may not be safe for them due to negligence of security and management.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with an incident that occurred at your establishment last night during a friend’s birthday celebration. While using the restroom with some friends, a male security guard entered and unlocked my stall while I was exposed. There is no signage indicating a one-person-per-stall policy. Instead of knocking, the guard reached over the stall to unlock it, despite other people being present in the bathroom. This behavior is unacceptable and should not be allowed.I am very upset about this incident and hope that immediate action will be taken to address it.

One of my favorite clubs in Grand Rapids. Always have a great time when I get the chance to go. Friendly staff with security to add an element of safety.

This used to be the best club in the city. It would be packed and had great deals on Thursday nights. Now its dead and the deals are a thing of the past. I still give it 4 stars based on hope it was just an off night. Paying $5 cover to go to a club with maybe 10 people inside the whole night when it used to be no cover and 10 times as many people is quite an adjustment.

Last night was my first night being in Grand Rapids and I came to this bar . AJ was amazing and honestly took great care of me . I told them I was diabetic and they made sure I stayed hidrated and gave me drinks that wouldn’t spike up my sugar . The atmosphere over all was very welcoming. Would most definitely come again .

We walked up to the bar and the bartender served us before another person (who apparently had been waiting there longer than us) and that person got mad and called security on us and claimed we threatened them and security kicked us out. Literally because the bartender served us before someone else. Security didn’t care that we had been there for all of 15 min and didn’t bother anyone. Wouldn’t give them my money again.

If you want to dance then this is the place to be. Definitely the gay spot in this little-big town of GR. The drink prices were on point, bartenders were friendly, and the DJ not too bad. A whole song played all the way through was recognizable. But if you want a safe space with a club vibe then definitely come here.

On a busy Saturday night a customer felt they should have been served before me, and they told a security guard I threatened them so I would be kicked out! I wasn’t able to finish my drink and I had just paid cover. I never spoke a word to the disgruntled customer.

Went to go here with my girlfriend for 21st birthday. We are from Indiana and she turned 21 2 days ago and they denied us service because she didn’t have an updated id even though her is expires in a month

One of the worst places I have ever been. This place is a joke of an establishment. The guys suck, the service was awful, music was terrible and staff is a joke. I wouldn’t recommend this bar to my worst enemy.

What a blast! I haven’t been there in almost 15 years. The security guard Alberto is a gracious host…friendly, warm and accommodating while keeping the building safe for all the guests. I give you all 10 stars ⭐️ what a phenomenal great time!

Bouncer with a flack jacket on and on a power trip. I get it it’s 1am and you discriminate on who you let in, but you don’t have to threaten violence. I just wanna dance. Thanks for making me never wanna return. Screen your staff. Literally turned away but the girls after me can pay $5 and get in. Used to love this place but you hired people who discriminate. Be better.

I have gone to this bar for years, even being a straight woman, and been shown absolute LOVE every time! Drinks are fairly priced, the bartenders, security guard, and woman at the front door are amazing!Last night I spilled my drink all over my brand new outfit and the staff helped me sit in front of a huge fan, gave me a towel, AND remade my drink for free! THIS is customer service to me! Big smiles, kind hearts, and always always good vibes! Shoutout to AJ and E behind the bar for making our night! Happy Pride Month babies! We will be back!🙌❤️💕

I used to come here since I was 18. It was a safe space for my friends and I to have fun without any judgement. Now it has evolved into an arena of judge mental, careless, and disgusting humans who have no regards for the safety and concern of their customers. I have had countless friends get drugged, assaulted, and harassed at this establishment with absolutely no acknowledgement from their staff. No response is a response. I’m absolutely heartbroken to not call this place my safe space anymore. You’d think a note able place like this would at least comment on numerous allegations or offer some aid to those who have suffered. But nothing. It’s a shame….

I’ve been coming here for about a decade and have brought family and friends to have a nice time out and to dance. But one thing I have noticed again and again this night club as prejudiced against woman either they be friend or family when at this establishment. I can no longer support this establishment for it’s misconducts against my friends and family.

10/10 for SPECTACULAR bartenders!! I was with a group of gals for a bachelorette party when we visited from out of town. We had a wonderful time dancing and laughing, but unfortunately I lost my wallet in the process and didn’t notice until the next day. I called during the afternoon and couldn’t believe that someone answered the phone. They had my wallet, safe and sound! I had anxiety all night about it, especially since we were traveling. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness!! You all are rock stars.

Been going here since I was 18 and it’s has their up and down but I enjoy having a fun night there. Friendly staff and security’s. The only down side is there’s to many str8 ppl who goes there and it gets kinda annoying. But overall it’s fun :)

Almost a becoming of age ritual for any LGBTQ+ teenager in the Grand Rapids area and beyond.I first saw the outside of Rumors when I was 17. There was nothing I wanted more than to be apart of the club scene, and Rumors was the perfect outlet for that when I turned 18. At the time, Rumors was an open floor dance club for any 18+. Since Covid, they have restricted their more night-club activities to 21+ and holidays. I will forever be disappointed in this; It was the only 18+ nightclub in the area.What is now available to anyone over 18 is their drag-shows and karaoke nights, which is always a must see. I will say that I was upset to learn about their recent changes, but the drag-shows still make it worth the visit. Their performers are absolutely hilarious and stunning. Their bar tenders are equally fun and easy going.This place can get crowded very fast, especially during one of their shows. I recommend getting there a bit earlier if you want to secure a seat.Overall, being one of the few places that is both for younger adults and LGBTQ friendly folk, I appreciate it for giving us a spot to let loose and party.

Went here on an 18+ karaoke night and it was fun, vibe was good- but getting a drink was torture. Waited around 20 minutes to get my coke; 5 for them to come ask what Id like, then another 15 to pour... Was hoping to get an idea of the club since my 21st was coming soon, but now Im not sure Ill be back. The karaoke was the best part, but I could go to The Z instead for that. Lmao

My friend was drugged and r*ped after attending your bar, NOT only did you all push it off to the side and not do anything about it, but the case we had CLOSED because of no evidence, and it was because the cameras you had just “didn’t work” and were “for show.” Not something I EVER wanted to bring up but I needed others to know this. You are not safe here.

If i could give this place zero stars I would. I went in expecting to have a great night with my friends, but it ended up being absolutely awful. The club requires that they hold onto your drivers license while you are there, so I entrusted them with mine. At the end of the night when I went to retrieve mine they had no idea where it went! They did not seem to care very much that they lost it and they did not put much effort in looking for it. They said they probably gave it to someone else which is awful considering all my personal information is on it. They told me they would call me if someone turned it in, which they never did. I cannot believe a facility would be so careless with something so important. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! The music was not all that great, and the night was not worth losing my personal identification over. They were absolutely no help in helping me find my missing property.

I heard so many great things about this place, COULD NOT wait to go out as an 19 year old to Rumors after being responsible during lockdown. But now Rumors is 18+ ONLY on Sunday and Tuesday. AND on Sunday it costs twice as much for 18-20 year old cover as 21+ cover! Rumors used to be the coming of age place in MI, but now it’s full of Straight™️ Customers and is no longer open to LGBTQ+ young adults that just want to dance after working 10 hours as “essential”

This is the best gay nightclub in Grand Rapids. It is a fun place to be as long as you like the club scene. The staff is nice so long as you act respectful and dont become a bother. The prices arent bad and they generally play good music. But that depends on your own personal taste.

This is a nice place and the bartender and few patrons I met were nice and helpful. Unfortunately I travel for work and was out looking for fun on a Tuesday evening. I was told things pick up after 10pm, but it was 7pm and I thought maybe Id run into a late happy hour crowd or something. Im still looking for a mid-life crisis, hook up pub atmosphere in GR. Ill be back in town next year if anyone has suggestions.

Im giving this place zero stars, but never set foot in the place. I went there last Tuesday night at 9:30, and parked in their dimly-lit lot. Before I could get out of my car, I was approached by a guy asking for money. Two spots over was a person going through an unlocked vehicle. And at the entrance of the bar were several people, non-patrons, loitering. As a crossdresser, I didnt feel safe walking from my car to the entrance, so I left.

Stopped in here while in town. It was nice to experience a small Midwest LGBTQ+ club. Much warmer, personal feel to the scene. I will stop in next time Im in town.

Visited this city to attend a graduation last weekend and was very disappointed in the music selections. Crossroad by Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, was played, need I say more?! The music was not tailored to attract all party goers which left many people simply sitting around and conversing or utilizing the exterior of the establishment as their hangout spot.It was shocking to see one of the only LGBT clubs in this city so vacate!But the jelly shots were wonderful and the dance floor was very spacious!

Fun place to go. Went with a group of friends on numerous occasions and had a fun time! Drag shows on Sundays are fun as well. Staff is friendly and service is good. Also, the drinks are pretty damn cheap which is great in todays rough and tumble economy! Amirite, guys?! 10/10 Rumour has it I would go again!

I have been a huge fan of Rumors since I was 18 years old, I am 27 now. I used to spend the majority of my weekends there as a loyal customer. I am getting married next month and my fiancé and I decided to reminisce at the place we met for our bachelorette party, Rumors. I remember the first time I laid eyes on this beautiful woman and I’ve always told everyone the story of how we met here. So prior to the bachelorette party, my sister in law who was throwing our party called every place we would be visiting to ensure she knew exact cover charges because that’s how you plan ahead of time to make for smooth transitioning. She was quoted $65 for our bus of friends and family. Once we got through the doors, the security quoted us the same price. We were then met with the assistant manager who proceeded to tell us that the cover would be $125. Not that we couldn’t cover it, it was the entire principle of the situation that was wrong. The assistant manager got into my sister in laws face which was completely uncalled for in a place of business, especially when she was having a civil conversation. About 4-5 security guards surrounded my group of friends as if we were doing something wrong which was also completely uncalled for. I have never had this kind of experience here and I’m absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated. You don’t have to get a business degree to understand that our bar tabs would’ve amounted to HUNDREDS of dollars while you’re sitting here fighting over $60 when we were quoted the specific amount in the first place. Might I add that security sat there and watched my sister in law pull out $100 at the atm inside Rumors. She was going to tip them and give them the $100 so realistically they were arguing and being disrespectful to us over $25! I will NEVER return to Rumors again! So disappointed with the out of line behavior by an ASSISTANT MANAGER. I hope none of you ever experience this disrespect and unprofessional behavior at a place where our community is supposed to feel “safe.”

Visited for the first time last night with a group of 15. Drove 1 hour to get there. Called for information one month prior. Already admitted to club when manager doubled the quoted admission price. When I questioned her she stated that she could change the price and if we didn’t pay we would have to leave. Very unprofessional and rude! Needless to say, we left and will not be returning to your club

Was there for about 3.5 hrs Saturday night, was having a great time; drinking and dancing. UNTIL I started to try and sober up a bit so I could leave and they tried to CHARGE ME FOR WATER. Then the bartender proceeded to call security and kick me since i was making a fuss about not being able to get free water, apparently they think its a good idea to charge DRUNK people for water who are trying to sober up. Doesnt sound legal but just on the morality point they should give FREE water to there PAYING CUSTOMERS.

They don’t care about you here. I wanted a drink, and I tried to stay out of the way to get a drink .. and I got told to “get out of the way” on crutches. I slipped Reopening my stitches. Thanks for the great time:)

Wouldnt even let us in with an hour left. Girlfriend came all the way from Marysville to dance here and couldnt even get in when there was dancing inside.

My fiancé and I just attended this establishment after the conclusion of the 2018 Pride Festival—if I could give less than one star, I would. My fiancé was verbally and physically assulted by the security staff and we ended up leaving the establishment with her in tears. She went looking for one of our friends that we arrived with (whom smokes) and was physically hit and verbally assaulted . She was told she was, “too straight” for the establishment and was pushed to the ground by both security and guests alike and was completely beside herself. This is the absolute last time either of us will ever attend or recommend this establishment as clearly it does not uphold a standard of inclusivity. What a shame. Seek to celebrate your pride, inclusivity, love, and patronage elseware as the closure of this establishment is well deserved and within the near future.

I would give this bar 0 stars if possible. We just tried to go into the bar for my friends bachelorette party and because her purse was medium sized, they wouldnt let us in. We offered to let them search all our bags but they wouldnt let us in and this was the only place she felt comfortable going. None of us will return to this bar ever.

Great place if you want the bartenders to roofie your drinks! Place is notorious for drugging people and their cameras inside do not work BEWARE!

Too many straight people. If this is supposed to be a gay club then its failing. Basically its a magnet for drunk white girls who have nowhere else to socialize after their sorority days. Legitimately was confused if this was even gay friendly standing in line. Totally inefficient entry process. Standing in line for 40 minutes because only one person is in charge of taking cover and checking IDs.

23 have been going since I was 18. Love going with friends. Everything is great, except the music. A lot of Hannah Montana and high school musical remixes :/ which is fun for a high school dance maybe. A lot of edm type music so you find yourself jumping most of the night than actually dancing...

Club scene club music fun dancing but dirty. Started with a draft beer that was terrible. Switched to bottles of beer and they left greasy rings on my coaster. Made me sick to my stomach. Wont be back.

Bartenders ignore you especially if you order water. I had a few drinks but Im not a drinker so I decided I wanted water for the rest of the night and even tho I still tipped for them getting me water they kind of acted like I was a burden for asking.

Very dirty and was ignored to be served like I wasnt a regular that spends my money there all the time and when I received my drinks it had to much ice and not enough liquer. I wouldnt recommend coming there and I wouldnt go there again if last gay bar on earth.

Went to pick up my boyfriend and was waiting for him in the parking lot and they decided to kick me out of the parking lot and would instead make my intoxicated boyfriend walk across two streets. That was cool of them.

Wow! I havent had such a great queer evening since the pandemic! Drag shows, modern DJ, incredibly tasty drinks and a very relaxed audience! Its a very large location with 2 floors and a diverse mix of people 10/10!
