DO NOT sign up for their membership, they charge you whether you come in or not. They called me in the beginning when my masseuse opened up her schedule for the forthcoming month, then stopped calling. My fault there I should have called them. Then I finally get time and call and they tell me they are booked up two months out, so they charge me for those two months and I get no massages. There certainly has to be a better more consumer friendly way to make money.
Incompetent? This Massage Envy is the worst kind of business. If I could put less than a one star I absolutely would. When COVID hit, I had been using their services for about 2-years. I kept the payments running (after a short pause) because a lot of business were struggling. At the time, I actually liked the people I interacted with.A year later, I tried to schedule an appointment and was told there was nothing for the next three months. A year after that I tried again with the same results.Last week, I cancelled the account (walk in and fill out a form); there was no discussion on what was going on or how they could make it right. We were told to use the credits or lose them in 90-days.We scheduled two appointments (doesnt come close to using the credits, but I wanted some quality time with my wife) only to be told today that we cant do that ... one was scheduled incorrectly. We can do today and the date selected only.Basically, my hope is that they are completely incompetent (think 40 credits times $80.00 each). Id rather not thing that they are OK with this as good business.
Just got a massage for myself for Valentines day. Denise was fantastic! I was worried from all the negative reviews, but she was professional, courteous and did wonders for my pain. Thank you!
The therapist that I have had are great—-but this location cannot seem to keep massage therapists employed. Was in there yesterday and nothing available until June. Two regular therapist I seen monthly have left. I am three sessions in that I have paid for from my membership and the manager suggests that I drive to Hilliard or Grandview when I live in Grove City and purchased this membership due to the location being close to where I live. Her other recommendation was to use my three sessions that I paid for for a facial or other services that don’t interest me. Asked to put my membership on hold until they hire more therapists and was told I could but wouldn’t be able to use my three membership sessions that are backlogged due to the Grove City store never having any therapists or openings. Frustrating that I’m a paying customer and the management team has no solutions but what they are scripted to say. What a disappointment.
Unfortunately, there are rarely appointment times available and when we call I’m made to feel as I’m bothering them. Not my favorite place for customer service. Overall the actual massages are good but I’ve rarely gotten the full time I booked.
Do not waste your time here! Finally found a good massage therapist here which is the only reason I put up with the incompetence for so long. I had a total of 3 massages here and was cancelled on or rescheduled 4 different times. I had to schedule my first massage a month in advance and when they rescheduled on me I had to wait another whole month. So two months in total for one massage. They do not care how much of their customers time they waste. Completely ridiculous!
Horrible. I never complain but Im so disappointed. They never have availability and when you do plan way in advance they cancel cause they cant keep staff. They cancelled 6 times on me. No problem taking your 80.00/month but dont count on any services or compensation for your inconvenience.
My husband and I have both had massages at this location before. I called about a month ago to schedule an appointment and the only time they had free was St. Patrick’s day. We booked them, and an hour before our appointment, and employee called and informed us that the masseuse we were scheduled with would most likely refuse us if we came in because we were not referred to him, or regular clients of his. I’m 10 weeks post-partum and was really looking forward to a massage before I went back to work. The employee that called was very apologetic and sweet. Im highly disappointed with this location and the employee (the manager) that originally scheduled us for our appointments. Im not sure why this masseuse has a job if he doesn’t see clients, or is allowed to refuse clients but it’s highly unprofessional and we will never book at this location again.
I debated writing this review. My husband wanted to get me a prenatal massage for my b day. I had Michelle and I couldn’t be more disappointed. Paid, and tipped. But I honestly feel like I wasted 100$ and an hour of my time. She talked through the ENTIRE session. And gave little to NO PRESSURE I don’t like deep tissue, didn’t want deep tissue! But I feel like she just put lotion on me. I said no arms or hands. She used the extra time in the massage on my ankles! And when I said that I heard massaging your ankles can make you go into labor she said she never heard of that. A quick google search prepared me for what she most likely wouldn’t massage due to me being pregnant. Thank God i am far enough a few long. Due in 8 weeks But what if you are in your first or second trimester that’s not safe for you or the baby that’s why I had to write this review! Even I myself do not want to go into early labor!!! I guess I should have said please don’t talk to me but i didn’t want to be rude. What’s worse is my Husband said How was your birthday massage and i just said thank you. Didn’t have the heart to tell him I wasted his money and my time and his massages are way better and free. Definitely do not recommend Michelle.
They will make unknown charges to your card and then tell you its in the contract you should know.I began my membership shortly before COVID 19 began spreading last year and for safety reasons did not want to schedule an appointment until I was fully vaccinated. I had not been to the location in over a year and have 18 sessions.Since I had so many I wanted to use the gifting feature, but did not remember how it worked. I told the associate please explain to me if you have a way to gift a massage and how that would work. She told me all I had to do was give the phone number of the person and they would transfer a benefit to her. When I looked at my credit card statement I saw an unknown $20 from massage envy. I called a Massage Envy Associate and asked what the charge was for. She told me when I gifted two benefits they charged $10 for each I told her I had not asked to gift two benefits, and secondly I was not told me there was a $20 charge for gifting benefits. Her reply was I should know because it was on my contract. When I talked to the manager, she also told me I should know because it was in my contract.I was then forwarded to Mellissa the Operations Manager who also told me that everythings in the contract. So in summary Massage Envy members can not expect the associates to explain the terms and policies that will create charges on their credit cards, they need to reread the contract.I was yelled at and talked over and called abusive because I1) asked about a unknown charge on my credit card from Massage Envy2) and expected a refund if I was given incomplete information. She told me she would cancel the gift to the person if I wanted the $20 fee refunded. Not awkward at all.I would love to cancel this memembership but there is no way I can get 18 massages in 60 days after cancellation. There is also no way I can have a relaxing massage at this location if i am going to be yelled and and told its my fault because I dont understand the charges they are making on my credit card. When I asked to move my membership location somewhere less hostile they told me I had to have a medical reason. Dont get trapped like me.
I had a 1 year membership. That I did not renew. I paid 70.00 a month. I had 6 unused benefits and called and scheduled a massage telling them I wanted to use my unused benefits. I went and got my massage only to see I had been charged 153.00 dollars for my 90 min massage. I was then told my benefits I PAYED for expired??!!! So thats a loss of 420.00 dollars plus I payed 153.00 additional dollars which I NEVER would have done. They let me schedule it, didnt tell me my benefits expired then let me leave without telling me Id been charged or give me a receipt! Nothing! I will never come back. Still waiting for a manager to fix this. 0 stars massage envy grove city!
Horrible I had appt schdule at 5pm I called day of appt to ask a question and she said your not schduled well the lady I talked to said 5 pm and ill see u there have nice daY....WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS ONE AGAIN BAD CUSTOMER SERIVE GET IT TOGETHER
Ive been a member here for a few years now and recently was fed up and had to cancel my membership. I would give the massages along with the therapists five stars. I was always very pleased with both. Unfortunately, the business end of the package is one star. I would schedule my massages, one a month, four to five months ahead of time due to having such a busy schedule only to have the office call and say my therapists hours were being changed or the hours of operation are changing. What finally made me cancel my membership is the rule that you can only transfer one hour of benefits to another member every six months, FOR A FEE! I pay $60 a month to have to pay a fee to let someone else use my membership? Are you serious? This place has gotten so corporate it has ruined the experience for me and I yield others to do your homework before signing a one year contract with them.
My wife got me a nice gift card to this place. I have had a few deep massages in the past so I am fine with the pressure. My therapist told me I should not have scheduled with her because she does hard pressure and I could not possibly handle it. And that she doesnt do this for people who just want to relax. This was before we began a 90 minute massage! When asked what I would like to work on she began telling me why my injuries were my fault and that she would try to work on them but probably couldnt help me out since she didnt know me. The icing on the cake was insinuation that she wouldnt have to be there Friday night if not for me and that she could be at home relaxing instead of trying to help me relax. Honestly just skip this place. Just a nightmare.
I believe that regular massage keeps me moving better and more pain free. Im at an age where arthritis seems to settle deep in my bones. I have two favorite massage therapist there in Grove City. Ive had facials and stretches. Every person Ive encountered seems sincerely interested in my physical well-being. I joined the monthly plan that keeps the cost down. And the monthly treatments seem decadent.
Family had a membership here for over 5 years. When we tried to cancel we were given misinformation and charged an extra time. Samantha, a manager, said they went over the cancellation policy with us when we signed up for a membership....That was 5 years ago! Samantha then said she could not assist and hung up on me. Terrible customer service. This Massage Envy would rather get one extra monthly charge in than do the right thing.
I had a great massage at Massage Envy the other day. I had a deep tissue massage and my therapist was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I really liked the tranquility room I sat in before my massage. It made the whole experience really wonderful. Nice job.
Theives, absolute thieves. Pulling teeth is more pleasant than trying to get them to cancel memberships, and even then keep charging you. Staff didn’t file my membership cancelation form two years ago and was subsequently charged $70 a month ever since, submitted paper work again last month, and was continued to be charged.Don’t bother with a membership unless you plan on paying for it the rest of your life.
When I booked the massage, i specifically asked for a therapist who could do the cranial massage. The lady on the phone suggested a certain therapist. She also told me that I could customize the massage by speaking to the therapist before the session. When I was shown to my room by the therapist and I had told her that she was to do the cranial massage, she informed me that she didnt do that particular massage. In fact no therapist at that location was certified to do it. I had no choice but to stay because if I did leave my credit card was going to be charged for the full hour anyway. In the end I paid for something that wasnt what I was told it would be and left unsatisfied with not only the business but the actual massage. Next time Ill go elsewhere.
They have canceled my fathers appointment 3 different times with the same excuse every time. Your misuse couldnt get out of their driveway to come in so your going to have to reschedule. Their is less than 1 inch of snow every time. Very poor service. Wont be returning
Membership is a scam. They can and will frequently cancel your appointments, leaving you with banked up services that you cannot book and will not be reimbursed for upon cancellation.
I had 5 appointments canceled. I was supposed to get 2 massages a month and went two months without seeing a therapist. Don’t waste your time or money.
Great experience! Super helpful and friendly staff. Went to work on my wrist pain that was keeping me from doing yoga (my love) and after a number of sessions, Im back at yoga. Im loving my membership. Thank you Grove City Massage Envy!
I was initially going to someone else, but after am getting an accidental schedule with Michael, WOW! I thought I’d need to go to a chiropractor for the pain I was in, NOPE! He assessed and corrected. Very welcoming environment and staff. Highly recommended.
Would give -5 if i could. Booked an appointment. When i got to my appointment was told could not enter without a mask. Should have been told that when i made my appointment. Not when i showed up. Plus i have ptsd and claustrophobia. Cant wear a mask without stressing.
Not Enough Staff Some Not Very Friendly. The Best Message Thereapist Left To Another Location That Is Much Further Away. I Had To Switch To Another Location That Is Closer Then That One. I Also Was Able To Get An Appointment With The New Location Quicker.
The LMTs are very skilled and professional! Facility is clean and calming. Excellent variety of services offered. The only issue is, it can be difficult to schedule appointments. Usually 2-3 weeks out.
These people are scam artists. I bought a gift card from them back around Christmas for a promotional membership and when we went to redeem it 6 months later they said that they did not honor that and that this kind of membership isnt even offered. They FALSELY ADVERTISE and/or do not honor their business commitments. Either way I am never going back to any of their branches as it would be rewarding a company that engages in DECEPTIVE BUSINESS deals.
The staff is nice had a great massage but it was a little strange to see the staffs child running around. Kenneths gives better massages deals better professionalism for the same price.
I’ve been going monthly for massages for a year now and absolutely love it. It’s always a great and relaxing experience. I highly recommend Massage Envy in Grove City!
Juan(Gi-uan) gave me an absolutely wonderful massage. She was so friendly and talented. I enjoyed it very much.
Peaceful waiting area! Love the massage! There are several type to choose from, I like deep tissue because of a high stress level. They also offer facials.
All was good, but then they stopped me, said I had to pay a tax on my giftcard $4.59 before I could leave. Never did I ever hear on paying tax on a giftcard.?
Awesome place. Just have to find the right therapist for you. Samantha and Kendra both give amazing deep tissue massages.
I really enjoy coming to Massage Envy.I always feel so much better when my session is done.Everyone is so nice and compassionate
The facility was nice and clean. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. The massage was great!
I would highly recommend Darlene for facials, she was sweet, patient and friendly. Book appointments with her, you won’t be disappointed!
They have continued to mess up the billing, and my wife have to constantly call back to get it corrected with a continued wait tune on average of 20 or more minutes. Just ridiculous!
I loved going here for my first massage. The employees were super friendly
Great massage therapists! They know what they are doing and do it well. Highly recommend!
1st time and 1st massage. Sarah was very helpful and friendly. Plan on going again.
Mike is very unprofessional. Talks badly about other staff and the facility during the massage.
Horrible customer service and they nickel and dime you for everything. Explain benefits of membership and leave out important details.
See Alex or Kendra for a great deep tissue massage. Go for the 2 hr if you can, its amazing!
That 90-min massage was the best I’ve had in a very long time!
They are very organized. My massage was wonderful.
Always look forward to my massage and adding the deep tissue machine has really helped with my leg cramps and fatigue.
Never met this man and he comes onto my YouTube site lying about me. What an unprofessional therapist. Seems like a total slime bag.
Check in boy didnt want to do his job. Massage was great. Expensive but worth it I guess
Please have someone from management contact me about this experience — my info should be in your system.
The best place in town to get your massage and facial needs
Horrible contracts. I had to get a doctors note to close contract.
I love my monthly massage 😄
Quiet, calming environment. Quality massages.
Great service and a lovely relaxing vibe.
Love it! Bought a membership!
Very clean and professional
Great place to work.
Love going here.
Great
Love Denise!
