Paradise Bar & Grill: Beachy Vibes, Bummer on the Bites (2.5 Stars)Paradise Bar & Grill on Pensacola Beach came highly recommended for its affordable eats and drinks. Unfortunately, our experience fell a bit flat.Great Location & Ambiance: This place has a lot of potential! Right on the beach with tons of seating, it looked like it could be a fun spot when theres a crowd.Kitchen Closed, Fun Shut Down: The major downside? We arrived to discover the kitchen was closed, which was a huge disappointment after a paid ride there.Service & Drinks: The atmosphere was pretty dead during our visit, and the beer wasnt very cold.Overall: Paradise Bar & Grill gets a 2.5-star rating. The location and beach setting are great, but our experience was hampered by the closed kitchen, lack of atmosphere, and warm beer. If you consider going, call ahead to confirm kitchen hours to avoid a similar disappointment.
First of all, our waitress couldn’t have been more rude. She practically rolled her eyes at every question I asked. Prices for drinks aren’t listed on the menu and she gave short, irritable responses about it when asked. On the menu it literally says “ask about our happy hour specials!” which I did, and her response was “we don’t have any.” A little misleading, and if you have that printed on the menu, don’t reply in an annoyed manor if people ask about it. The Cuban sandwich was good but I think they should specify that it comes with Lays chips on the side and not homemade chips. Overall, it was a good sandwich but not worth coming back for, which is a shame because the setting of the restaurant is right on the water and the view is lovely.
I came to Paradise Bar & Grill at the recommendation of a local individual and I can only say thanks for the recommendation. The service was amazing (Sophie) and quick and the food was tasty. I got the shrimp spring rolls (amazeballs) and the catch of the day blackened sandwich (Mahi Mahi). While enjoying the bar and the beers. If youre in the area check it out. This isnt a tourist place but definitely locals and I really enjoyed my time here. The music, the beer, the food and especially the service (Sophie) made it an enjoyable time after being chased out of MS to get home to Colorado due to hurricane season.
This is a nice place, fast service, good food, Apparently the wings here are a thing. They were pretty goo but their hottest wing wasnt so hot for us, but it had good flavor with a good kick so i recommend trying if you like that sort of thing (it wasnt obnoxious with lousy flavo)r so i would order again. overall we had a good meal for a good price, and we were able to wait it the traffic.
Such a cute little place to grab a quick bite to eat! The view of the bay was so beautiful. The service was fast and the food came out hot. The cheese curds are so yummy. Our server was really great, he remembered everyone’s order without writing it down, brought out refills for everyone without us needing to ask. We’re from out of town but the next time we visit the area, we’ll come back again.
Did a quick stop to grab a bite. It was a great choice. The food was great the drink options were great. They had live music that was festive but not stupid loud. Overall its a great spot to grab a bite and have a couple cold ones for the ride along the coast.Dont be put off by the portion sizes... They were too good to wait on a pic.
Great outdoor eating and delicious food! Its definitely a more adult atmosphere and less kid friendly, although the beach, pier, and live music made for good entertainment while we waited for our food. Fried pickles were NOT on the menu, but the fried cheese curds were super tasty!
A wonderful little hotel on the beach! Very quaint and down to earth atmosphere right on the beach. The food was awesome the bands were awesome and our rooms were so clean and inviting. Thank you to the Paradise Inn staff for making our family vacation so memorable! Well be back for sure.
My mom wanted to stop for an afternoon beverage. She had been here before. We shared the Renee Shrimp Salad it was so good. LOVED IT. great service kind people sat at the bar. Was a great place to just take a breather grab a bite and relax. Thank you.
Paradise is one of my favorite places on the beach. They have great live music from local and traveling bands. Good food, Pensacola Bay Brewery Lil Napoleon IPA on draft and a great beach atmosphere on the sound side of the beach. Dock to pull your boat up to.
Great atmosphere and food. Place is right on the water. Went on a Friday evening and a band was playing. Outside covered bar and patio atmosphere. Food below: the Reuben, the Black and Blue Burger (I had bacon in it), PoBoy Shrimp Sandwich and appetizers Fried Green Beans and Deep fried Pickles. All yummy food and friendly waiter! Cigarette Smoke was around me so I gave it a 4.5 stars.
As much as I LOVE seafood, I needed to take a lil break and search for a good burger. Well, this place delivered! The burger was delicious as well as the fries. I even had the opportunity to compliment the chef, and told her she did a good job! Really nice place with a laid back atmosphere and gorgeous view!!
Great spot, with really good bar food. This hidden gem is a locals hang out with one of the best locations. Tucked away near the sound with a long pier and sandy beach with lots of tables and chairs its a beach lovers paradise. We came in February and the main bar area had the flaps down to help keep out the wind but still charming. Service was good as well with bar service and back of house speed and accuracy. I cant remember our servers name but she was very friendly and helpful. Well definitely be going back.Updated February 2023We stopped in for lunch and found Paradise just as accommodating as before. Service still good, maybe a little slower due to number of servers but still good and they told us we apologize we are running short staff today. But all in all they did a good job and food was delicious as usual. Today was mullet special day and while it looked delicous I opted for the rueben and it was quite good. The potato salad was heavy on the mayo but the sandwich was good. Our shrimp platter was more than we could handle but the shrimp was fried well and the fries were unbelievable. Crispy on the outside and like mashed potato on the inside. We will definitely be going back again!UrbanCowgill
Brought a tourist from Chicagoland and another from Pheonix and boy, did this hit the spot! The atmosphere was perfect although it was a windy day. The sun was out, the band played and the drinks flowed. The food was good and the vibe was just what the doctor ordered for them.
UPDATE!My family and I were looking for a fun place to celebrate my 60th birthday. I chose Paradise! The food and service were outstanding! We stayed about 4 hours after eating a late lunch. The band was great, lots of people started coming in from a Mardi Gras parade in Pensacola, just adding a very festive atmosphere. I only wish I could remember our servers name because she was fantastic at keeping up with our table even with all the extra people arriving. We walked out on the dock and got somepretty sunset pictures. We had a great experience. Were locals and love Paradise!
Ive loved Paradise Bar and Grill for over 15 years. When I recently visited, the tables and chairs, the crowd, and the food had only gotten better. Its an awesome locals place to relax day or night.
I think they have the best Bushwacker in town second to flounders (so far). But the price is still expensive even during “happy hour”. As with their food, it is not great. Ordered burgers here and I couldn’t even get myself to eat it. The burger smelled almost like spoiled meat that was still grilled and served! Idk but I have a really strong sense of smell and that was absolutely off putting. I did not send it back bc the wait for the food took way too long. There are other places with better “bar food” in town. This place is not it, I’m sorry.
We always eat here at least once when we visit. The food is always great, it is best when there is live music. There is a nice boardwalk/boat dock and steps that go down into the water. Located right in the sand with a laid back beachy vibe and gorgeous sunset views. Service isnt always the best, but it doesnt hinder our experience too much.
Grilled grouper was super grouper. Fries great, smoky delicious tuna dip. They were closing in 45 minutes but gave us good vibes as well as service
Our good friend Brad works here. Let me start off by saying that He is the Man! The quesedillas are great , awesome music , great place to hangout and pull up on the water. 💯
Best burger in town no one can beat their price to quality. The bartenders are absolutely amazing
We had a Ruben last night. This sandwich was so good! The fried green beans were amazing!!The band was good!Service was perfect!
Always a great time at Paradise! My room was freshly painted from my last stay...Still making repairs from SALLY but things are looking good! Food Drinks Music Dancing Spirits... Meant some great people! Had a blast! J from Beach Club thanks for dinner & your balcony is Amazing! Hope to see you again one day! Even in the pouring rain... you can still have a nice time ;-)) The golf cart ride down to the Shaker was FUN!!! Even the stumble home to Paradise, Lol with my friends from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Cant wait to be back for Arts Fest in November!
Finally tried them! Great food, best fried fish on PB! Excellent bar drinks and good prices. Nice Bayside area with plenty of seats. Well be back for certain!
Boated in with my dog, and had never been before despite living right across the bay. Go in and hang out for 15 minutes on the beach while my wife goes to get us drinks and get told to leave because I have a dog (leashed, laying in the sand minding his own business on the beach not bothering a soul). I told the waitress not a problem, but VERY POLITELY say that they should really post this policy on the dock entrance so people like me don’t get confused. I totally understand no dogs inside, but in MOST places in the area they’re welcome to hang out with you outdoors. She says, I KID YOU NOT “well it might be on one of those signs over there.” and points at the dock. I say “no, it absolutely is not on one of those signs. I read the signs before I docked my boat, because I wouldn’t have docked and come in if it were posted and we could have avoided this whole interaction.” She gets huffy and just tells me to leave, rudely kicks me out in front of a bunch of other guests who honestly look a little confused and distressed. Thats fine. My, and the NINE people with me hop on the boat and head back out. Hope you had a great afternoon missing out on a hungry thirsty 10 top while you’re at about 10% capacity.I can only conclude that the only thing keeping this place in business is the location and cheap booze. The vibe was pretty trashy anyway.
Great view of the ocean, great food, and drink prices are good. Service is awesome. The owner Fred is one cool guy!
Love this place and the people, both employees and customers. Its my happy place. My Cheers. Im glad to be back and visiting from Denver. Great grouper sandwiches and the best, smoothest bushwacker. (better than Sand Shaker)
In all the years we have been coming to Pensacola, we have never eaten here! I wish I would have remembered to take the pictures of our main course. The food is terrific!! The Reuben comes with potato salad that must be homemade. It is so good! The mushroom Swiss burger was cooked to perfection and the fries are very good too! The fried pickles and honey hot wings were delicious as well. Very, very happy with our decision to finally try this place! We will return!!$46.00 for our meal.
We had a group of ten with mixed preferences from 7-50 years old. Great food. some fun appetizers we never would have thought of but loved. Black and Bleu burgers were delicious and the kids meals were huge.Would eat here again in a second.
Love this place! Staff is fantastic as well as the food! The whole atmosphere is incredible
Such a cute little place! The view of the bay is beautiful, and the location is perfect! We have been here a few times, and the service is good and fast, and the food came out hot. I love it when they have live music, and during football season, sitting at the bar watching the games is always a good time. Definitely recommend!
Not a huge menu and drink options are very limited. Not much parking. It is beachside so a fun vibe. Food just wasn’t great.
Very good food and music! Bartender in Black shirt was hateful and had an attitude the entire time we were there... Then the girl in Blue greeted us and always had a smile on her face!!! It makes a difference! Dont come to work with an attitude as a server, it rubs off on your customers and reflects your Tip!
Basic food done well. Great place to hang out and enjoy music.
I was excited to learn about this place. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are good, and the food looks delicious. Unfortunately, we were rudely kicked out for leaving our safety gear at one of the many empty neighboring tables and for charging our e bikes. I had no problem moving my gear or unplugging the bikes, but when the manager approached, she was very hostile and demeaning. She did comp the drink for us and obviously we didn’t have to pay for the food since we didn’t receive it yet. I’m not going to stoop to giving one star review even though I’m really upset with how we were treated — this looks like place. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Definitely check them out, consolidate your stuff, and don’t you dare use their outlets. Anyway, wish everyone the best and thanks for reading :)
Cant beat the view. Service was slow. Food was OK. However, $2.79 for a side of coleslaw the size of a shot glass is outrageous. 2.5 bites, maybep
Great service great music. Definitely will be back. Maggie was our server and was AWESOME!!!
The Easter fun on Saturday was awesome. We went to 3 different egg hunts and hands down Paradise was the best according to the kids. They even got to pose with the Easter Bunny. Terese is the best bartender! Paradise is always lots of fun between their specials, music, and extra festivities. Thanks to Paradise for starting off our Easter weekend a blast.
Great local Bar and Grill! Our server, Pam(?) was terrific and the food was delicious! 👍🏼
This is the view from Paradise Bar and Grill of the sunset its one of the most nicest places to see a sunset. They have good Bushwackers and good food. Mahi mahi basket blackened is the best. Its a small restaurant but highly recommended. Dont Blink. You will pass it. LOLPlus, its a good place to get married. Thats what me in the wife did, and they catered everything it was a good time.
Went to Paridise today! Not Paridise! I am a diabetic... lost my leg & have problems keeping my glucose levels normal. I have a service animal to help monitor my my behavior/ glucose levels. The bartender/manager.. told me i could not have a dog there, I told her it was a service dog ! Her response was this you cant hold a service dog, you have to leave! Train your staff better! She was 100% wrong.
Said pet friendly. Was very rudely told by the bartender my service animal was not allowed will never come back terrible manners
Great place to eat. Was crowded but still had great service. Has the mullet special.
Our favorite place on the pensocola beaches is Paradise Bar & Grill. The atmosphere and the people are relaxing . A simple but satisfying menu served outside with mist machines and some of the best live music on the beaches. Eat some good food and watch the entertainment or take a dip in the ocean.Drive there, float your boat there, walk or ride your bike. This place has a great reputation and is warranted.
GREAT staff and music my favorite burger on Pensacola beach
Been coming here for 15 years to eat, drink and stay at the Inn. Great lil beach in the back with a dog area. Live music too. The battered and fried fresh green beans are excellent with the jalapeno ranch and I ordered a Ruben, sub Mahi for the beef and had the best Fish Ruben EVER. Best bartenders and service on the Island.
Best tiki bar on the beach. And there is a beach there too! Great staff and best grouper sandwich on the island!
LOL, I ordered a burger from this bar because I was staying next door on vacation. The price on the website? $12.99. The price I was charged when I picked it up? $23. ***Twenty three dollars*** for a generic plain-ol burger, ladies and gentlemen.Heres the kicker - this is my new annual vacation spot where Ill be spending a lot of money in the years to come, and Paradise Bar & Grill just lost every bit of my potential annual income for the foreseeable future because they ripped me off... over a hamburger.Good job, yall.
Awesome beach bar with great live music!
Live music, outdoor patio, and sand, with lawn games, boat dock. Kitchen closes at 8pm.
Just a few steps from the RV Resort where we stay and Paradise has become a favorite spot for us. On our recent visit, we shared a Paradise burger, fried green beans and added a carryout of their fresh-made fried pork skins. My wife said the burger was the best one she has had in the State of Florida. Green beans were tasty and crispy, along with the best pork skins I have ever had - they were dusted with siracha and were still popping when served in the go box. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Very nice atmosphere on the patio by the water. Kind of out of the way, setback from the road, but should be on everyones try it out list in Pensacola Beach. Great laid back vibe with live music in the evenings. They also have a very good beer list, including some excellent locals.
I would say one of the coolest laid back beach bars I have ever experienced. Live band was very fun to listen to as the kids fed the fish and birds. You can drink a beer, sit on the dock, and watch the sun set.
If you go and dont expect to be overwhelmed by the food, go around sundown. No inside dining. Had several fans and awning, but hot air blown around is still hot air. I had the large Paradise burger. Was a frozen patty. My wife had the chicken strips. She was underwhelmed as well.
The paradise salad with fried shrimp is totally overpriced at 15.99. Nothing special. The shrimp was mediocre. I have had so much better. The atmosphere made up for it. But was pretty disappointed in the seafood.
First time was there I had a wonderful time very friendly place
$20 to park on weekends and holidays. You get a $20 voucher for the bar, so it’s fair.Wish I could have stayed longer.Get the bushwhacker with rumple mint. Taste like a thin mint. 🫡
This bar is such a laid back and cute vibe. It’s a great view of the bay too. Truly my only complaint was the food was subpar. I would go there to drink but I would eat somewhere else.
Hello again time for another review. This time we will be talking about one of my favorite little bar/restaurants/hotels in the Pensacola area. The bartenders are very friendly and are great at their jobs. The food is absolutely delicious, the rooms are always clean, very reasonable prices, and they are also pet friendly. Another plus is, they usually have live music from some of the best little bands from around the Pensacola area. In the late afternoon you can usually catch a pretty fantastic sunset. So if you have never stopped by and checked it out, do yourself a favor and swing in today and grab a cold beer or whatever your favorite adult beverage is, dont forget to grab a burger while you are there, i guarantee you wont be disappointed!! Remember have fun, but drink responsibly, dont drink and drive and please tip your bartenders and servers. Enjoy and be safe!
This place denies water and service to service dogs.Very rude female Server (wish I had known her name) my husband and I stopped by with our 2 service dogs on August ,4th 2023 at 8pm for dinner. As soon as we enter and sit at a table outside one of the female server comes upto us and does not even ask if they are service animals and she strait up says no dogs allowed leave and the kitchen is closed. We were just shocked by the rude behaviour of hers.We have been to plenty of places to eat with our service dogs where pets are not allowed but all the restuarants ask us are they service dogs and when we say yes they always have alowed us in restaurants and we are treated with all respect and our service dogs are treated well too.But this place and the server is something else did not ask if they were service dogs just staright up said leave not all were bad in there, the bar tender she was sweet ahe offered some water to them when my husband went in to get some drinks. Both my service animals were tired after playing in the water and just wanted to sit and drink some water. One of our dog pucked as he was tired, which my husband and me cleaned it immeditely with water and towels. The server comes up to me and says we have to ask you to leave, I was dissapointed and mad and told her both are serive animals and we have the Id, but still she kept going oh he pucked you have to leave. I again told her they are service animals are you still going to kick us out and she walked away.Even people around us were very suprised to see the treatment the server gave us.Both our dogs out of which one is 3 year old is a fully trained and certified service dog and the second one who is just 9months is under works of a service dog training also has a training batch for service dog. None of our dogs caused any disturbance, both sat down quietly were leashed and in full controll as per ADA satandards still the server mistreated us. She also went around asking people and istigating them to say we and our dogs were trobling them. But the people sitting around said they were good and we and our dogs are not troubling them at all. When she did find anything she got reason of our dog throwing up and that too it was just some salt water he thre up which we even cleaned. They litelly denined service to service dogs and denied water go service animals. The server was inhuman and very disredpectful. Its was sad that some people are so inhuman. Very bad experience. Servers need to be trained and learn how to repect people with service dogs and not ask them to leave. Learn the ADA laws here.
My husband and I are repeat customers at the Paradise Inn and we love to walk over to the Bar & Grill and order buschwackers (they have the BEST on the beach) and their appetizers are on point too. We love the crab cake bites and the shrimp spring rolls, tuna dip is great too. I love their burgers, my husband loves their Cuban and fried fish baskets as well. This is where the locals go, hence our repeat visits!
Great service, good food, beach side views and atmosphere.
Terrible!! $20 to park but you get a voucher. My tab was less than $20. We had a group of 15 people and we were told we could not move the tables together. The bar tender snapped at my friend for asking if we could move the tables. Watched two of my friends that are regulars get asked to leave the beach area because they were not drinking or eating (somewhat get that but they are/were regulars). The locals will remember this in the off season when they will be their only traffic. The only reason Im giving 2 stars instead of a 1 is because of the waitress.
Went for dinner on a Wednesday and was told kitchen closes at 5pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. This isn’t posted anywhere.
I am ashamed to say as a Gulf Breeze native, I have never been here until tonight! We had the shrimp spring rolls, crab cake bites, shrimp cocktail, tuna dip, and pork rinds. Food was great, except peel-n-eat shrimp was a bit over cooked, but seasoned well. The pork rinds were realllly good. Great bar food. I didn’t try the burger or fried shrimp, but they both looked sooo good. A table near me ordered the salad and it was huge and looked fresh! We came on a Thursday night and they had live music, kinda bluesy. Our server, Eddie, was EXCELLENT! Perfectly attentive! Great beach atmosphere with a short dock, outdoor table seating, bar seating, picnic tables and lounge chairs for enjoying the music. Will DEFINITELY be back! VERY reasonable prices. Cocktails were
The bar owner/manager Renee is the meanest awful person! I will never set foot there ever again!
Great atmosphere. Good food. You dont have to get your feet sandy. But your kids can. Plenty of room under canopy. Alot of room in the sun. Unique dive restaurant and bar. The parking is around back and is adequate. The food is good we all had something different and the all said the food was good. The price point was on average for the area. Seems most come for the drinks and the atmosphere. If it was not for the atmosphere it would have been 3 stars.
Waiter took our leftover money as a tip without asking. Not very professional. His service was great and we would have tipped him better if he hadnt just took it. Was a very rude thing to do.
This is mainly a small outdoor spot but with covered seating and heaters for when it’s cold outside. Our server was awesome! Basic American food and tastes great. Not to mention their awesome drinks. It’s right off the water with a great view! Live band was setting up as we were leaving. Great experience!
Basket Fish woao !.. Very good atmosphere.
Food was excellent and portions were large for the price. They had excellent vegetarian options as well as cubal pork chops as the special of the day. I do wish the dining tent were separated from the bar as the strong cigarette smoke was the only downside to our visit.
Food is a nice variety if choices and you can tell it was freshly bought and prepared food. We had a couple of beers at the bar before we sat down to eat. The view is incredible, so much nicer just when the sun and the heat start to lower. Staff was really nice along with the locals. We will be going back on next days off work
We actually stayed at their hotel, which has a bar and grill, a concert stage and a pier (dock where boats can also stay) where you can walk to the bay area. Food is decent, service nice. Gave them 4 stars because we couldnt check in our room until 5pm. Normal time is 3pm. I realize with this post pandemia it has lots of business shorthanded. But a simple apology would have been great.
Great atmosphere, music and good food
Very fun place! Food is good. Really liked the pickle chips! The bar in winter is a bit crowded but Im sure there is a lot more room when its warmer and people utilize the outdoor seating and tables. The band that played when I was there was very good (John Hart) but cant comment on other talent. Definitely a place to hit!
The food was ok. I had the Freds burger and it was good, however the service was spotty. It is typical beach food and they were pretty busy. They had great fries and the atmosphere is good! They had a live blues band playing, and the location is awesome. We came in on a boat and they have a dock to tie up to and everyone was super casual. The only thing that kept it from a 5 star was the guest service.
Drinks are VERY weak!! Ordered 2 hurricanes and all they did was increase my bathroom breaks! Touristy place, upbeat, lively, but dont expect great drinks or great food. The food lacks flavor and is just so-so. Overall its a good place to visit if you want an upbeat atmosphere with music, but eat and drink before you come. You can pull your boat up and step off from there.
The staff was super friendly and attentive. I didn’t care much for the hamburger. The music they had from the zydeco band was really fun and we did a lot of dancing.
My wifes burger was undercooked but mine was pretty good. Fries were awesome. Should bring back the nachos with beef. Id go there again but I dont think my wife would although I know well be back for the great rooms and the bar. Great place for the price, great location for events in the area, and great support and staff. Oh did I mention dog- friendly? That is deffinatly a plus about this place. We met so many nice puppies and their people. For us its absolutely a nonstarter for us to even consider a place that doesnt allow four legged kids to enjoy the adventure. So Im gonna give it a strong 4 1/2 and promise to be back.
Always love staying here. We are locals that enjoy not having to go home to kids some tones and this is a great get away. I will say avoid the two story rooms like room 212. I think the put a pool table instead of a bed in it. And very loud. But that is not the normal. We have always loved it in the one story room close to the bar. They only had one cancellation and we took it last minute. Great place over all.
When we arrived @ 4:55pm the server wasnt interested in taking our drink order, she said order at the bar, the restaurant food service is closed. Wow! We did and gave the bar tender a nice tip.
Food was pretty good but the service was horrible. The sign said seat yourself and well be with you in a minute. A minute? Not even close. Finally had a waiter come take our food and beverage order. The fried oysters were awesome and fries were tasty. But apparently this waiter has never heard of people getting a second drink or a refill of water.
Wonderful service, our bartender, Tara, she is a peach. There was a steady crowd which she consistently greeted with smileddora
We are locals and this has always been a favorite, but the last two times we’ve tried to go there, very disappointed!! Last evening around 6 we wanted to take my hubby for his birthday for cheese curds, a burger and of course their famous Bushwacker. Kitchen was closed and there was hardly anyone there to hear the band. Really hate crossing this once FUN bar/grill off our list. I understand it has a lot to do with difficulty in getting people to work. 🥲
Awesome music ensemble....band...group..from New Orleans was playing! Laid back great beach vibe.UPDATE: Been coming here for YEARS just spent my son in laws birthday here this week. As we pull in today some random guy in security garb approaches and tells us it is 20.00 to park!!! Weve NEVER paid to park, always been a great patron until today. There have been a few more changes that have made it feel off lately but we brushed those off.
It was my first time being there and loved it.
We had a great experience. The band was awesome. Food was very good. We had a great view of the beach. Very romantic. Liv was a great waitress. Even though it was busy she was very attentive. Paradise Burger & honey wings were lit. Definitely will come back.
Motel is recently remodeled. Very nice accommodations especially for the price. They are still working on renovations of the rooms and the pool that was damaged during a hurricane. The restaurant and bar menu was excellent and the music on Thur - Sat was awesome.
For a beach bar the food is surprisingly good. My friends and I have been going here via boat or bike for over ten years. Never disappoints.
The name says it all.Paradise..... Need I say more? Great drinks, service, patrons and pets.Live music, talented artist.BEST Bushwacker in town by far.Right on the Bay and a 5 minute walk to the Gulf.Want to go to the Boardwalk, walk it or take a convenient cart ride free with a tip.Tips are always greatly appreciated.Beautiful. My Happy Place 🥰
This is a great local hangout. The bar is the best. Great drinks, food and music. We live in the area and stay here often. The rooms are clean and have character. Lets be completely honest that its been around for a while and its not as posh as some of the other hotels on the beach. It doesnt need to be. If you want to come to the beach, hang out and have a good time this is the place.
Perfectly named. A great place to eat or have a bushwacker. Fred burger and tuna dip are great. There is also a dock for boaters. They usually have live music.
Was hesitant on renting this. As a few other review said they were remolding, But the room was perfect for us. Only 4 star; the room was redone, but for the price it should be completed, there were missing trim & the front door had about an inch of light coming in, the a/c unit ran pretty much all night. The floors were covered in sand, yeah your at the beach. But that sand made it into the bed. The sheets/blanket were clean and plenty of towels if needed. Nice little closet to hang up clothes if your a madman and brought hangers. The bar was open the first night with a live band. Was a good time, the back sand pit is a nice chill area. But the drinks were not all there. After that night, the bar was closed untill Monday. With it being in a nice location, plenty of other small tiki bars open within in a 5 min walk. Wonderful breakfast in the little strip mall next to paradise inn. Several spots to eat and enjoy a drink.Over all not a bad place to stay, the beach within a 3min walk across the street was nice as well. I would rent again. I would just ask for the a/c unit to be upgraded and a broom to be left in the room.
The wings were the best, that sauce was awesome. The most crispy wings Ive ever had. We waited a little for the food, but its to be expected for the location, it was crowded. The food however came out very hot and delicious! Im going back one night just for the wings!
The locals recommended this bar for the best Bushwacker and we were not disappointed. Don’t be deterred by the entrance when you drive in and see a motel, the bar has a great beach vibe with nice views. The only thing that was strange was they did last call at 10:00 pm when their hours listed said they close at 11:30. That meant we only got to enjoy one drink, but it was still really good; just wish we had been able to enjoy it longer!
Great spot on Pensacola Beach theres a place to dock your boat. Staff is very friendly a lot of local residents who are also very friendly good drinks ample menu I personally like the hamburgers they also have rooms available to rent and its centrally located so you can bar hop up and down the beach also great entertainment
Great cool locals place that caters to everyone. Great people, live entertainment, pier. No frills but super comfortable.
We love it there. Friendly place to go. Beautiful scenery. Food and drinks are always good. Many we know have gone or go here. My sister Gaby started us going here. We always get together with family and friends here. Best place around.Amy was great tonight as was our food. Thank yallYall stay safe with the Hurricane coming ☔🌩️🌀🙏
A fun place to hang out with your friends and have some good food and drink. Have live music on a regular basis and the wait staff are great, just extremely busy at peak times. Great views of the water, pull your boat up to the dock and join the fun.
We spent 5 days here and every day we started and ended at the Bar & Grill. The service was great and made us feel at home and the food very tasty. My go to was an order of their freshly fried pork rinds and an order of the shrimp salad. The fresh fish platters were great as well.We will definitely be returning to Paradise on our next trip to Pensacola!
To start off, i was in a party of 6. The parking was weird, which they had you pay 20 dollars to park, but you get a coupon for 20 dollars off your food. We go to sit down and the tables are weirdly positioned, which made it hard to move around. We sat down and ordered. The appetizers we good, but the food was just okay. It wasnt anything great. The service was awful. A side and a dish wasnt brought to us, but instead brought to another table. They also brought us the wrong check, which made it more complicated. The band there was good and the people dancing were hilarious. The only reason I would go here is for entertainment and not for a meal. 2/5
We stopped in here because we heard live music. We were surprised to see its right on the water. We were looking for a dessert to end the day and ordered the Key Lime pie. It was amazing! We spent about an hour after the band stopped playing and hung out by the water. There is a pier to walk out on and it seems that boats could dock so people could go to the restaurant. The wait staff was also very friendly considering it was closer to close. I would recommend checking this place out!
Wouldnt recommend it. Service was pretty slow. Our waitress walked away mid sentence after taking 2 of 4 orders (you may not have this same experience and its not as important as my other points). I ordered a Reuben and there wasnt any meat on my sandwich. It definitely wasnt worth the $9.79 price. I wanted to send it back but I was with friends and didnt want to make them uncomfortable. This was a mediocre dining experience at best. I wouldnt recommend dining here. To recap: Food wasnt good, wasnt worth the price based on the portion (for the Reuben), and the wait and service were long and poor (respectively).
Put your feet in the sand and a drink in your hand! A great place for listening to music! Owners do a fantastic job of pulling in quality musicians! Customers and staff are very friendly. Menu is simple, but tasty. Family friendly place for people of all ages.
The live music Saturday nights is always a blast! Convenient water access and 3 bars to choose from. No matter how busy theres always a drink available. Dock your boat and listen to tunes until 10pm and get home the next day.Super place.
Paradise on the beach! Quick service and great food. We had the fried pickles, fried shrimp basket, and quesadilla with chicken added. Food was served HOT
Outstanding Service Food and Entertainment. Big named Stars of the future onstage. Renée Gros singing backup for Sam Price. WOW!
Possibly the best, very casual, bar and grill right on Pensacola Beach! Excellent food thats not overpriced, and the wait staff was exceptional! You can eat on the beach or inside, which is very open to the outside. Live entertainment was great too. Ill definitely be back. (Was there 7/2014)
This is on my top 5 places to vacation list. The staff has become like family over the past five years and the hotel has become a stop on every trip that I take to Florida now. The food is delicious, the people treat everyone like family, and the drinks are definitely not watered down. You have a bay view while eating your dinner or just hanging out for drinks and you get more than you pay for every visit. They gained bonus points from me for being a New Orleans Saints themed bar and if I could give them more than 5 stars, I definitely would. If you are ever near Pensacola beach, this is a must visit.
Would have been a good experience (I think) but after driving 30 minutes - they were closed despite their posted hours and Google maps - ended up at Shaggys and waited 90 minutes there.
Really enjoyed our visit here! The beers were nice and cold and the food hit the spot. Our 2-yr old son loved playing in the sand and surf as well as enjoyed walking the pier.
I came here just to sample their famous bushwhacker mixed drink, which is like a White Russian drugged up like their Olympic teams. It was tasty, and lived up to the hype. The location is great, being right on the bay and having a lot of outdoor seating. The crowd is mostly older local folks. The thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was some pushy local gal chatted us up and said shed get the first round. In a bout of confusion, she started ordering a huge list of drinks for us, her, and her friends, then grabbed the drinks, and left. With the bartender just staring at me, I had no choice but the foot the massive bill. It felt like a scam. It would have helped if the drinks were cheaper, but they were quite expensive.
This place has ALWAYS felt like home Mrs Dawn and Melody are the best!!! Started here two nights for my best friends birthday in middle of October 2021 and EVERYONE made Beth feel welcome and her Birthday a memorable one thanks to everyone at Paradise who helped me pull it off shes now a fan of paradise lol awesome staff, food, and drinks yall NEVER disappoint much love to yall
This is great local bar and grille on Pensacola beach. Reasonable prices rooms. Great bands from New Orleans and from other areas of the Southeastern US play there. Be sure to try the Renee`s delicious Shrimp Dip and homemade Chips. Yummy!! :-)
Great place for food and great music.
Food is good and a decent variety (burgers, shrimp). Get the fried green beans! Love they have a vegan burger option ! Price is reasonable. Drinks are a plenty. Some days/nights they have live band. Covered indoor/outdoor seating to enjoy beach weather. In the winter they have the plastic walls that go up. Be prepared for long waits especially during season. Usually short wait staff and this is a local hot spot/fav on the beach and they participate in many events there. But always a good time especially with friends and family!
Better food & service than before. Same great atmosphere. This has long been my favorite bar despite what used to be non-existent service (we used to sneak in our drinks) and over-priced mushy nachos. The live music was always amazing and you cant beat the sand in your toes water-side atmosphere. The last few times Ive been there; however, the service has been good (no mores sneaking in drinks) & the good was good! We still paid $12 for an entre, but it was delicious! if you want cheap drinks, order the Miller High Life (its under $2). I had the bushwacker (amazing).During the winter, they have heaters and tents, so you can still enjoy it with even less crowds. In the summer, wear shoes you can easily slip on and off, because a lot of the seating is in the sand.
Lack of wait staff is killing this business. The grill part closed at 6:45 pm. Honestly the last visit there was so bad (and it was right at 6:45) we left and went somewhere else to eat. There was no place to sit down because some tables outside were still taped off so that you couldnt get to them and theyve been like that since covid started. If you like live music and dont mind standing the entire time then this is a great Pensacola Beach stop.
Cool hole-in-the-wall kinda place amongst all the touristy big places. Beer is cold, food is good and the staff is friendly. U peel um shrimp were really good as were the cheese curds. Ill be going back.
Great place to party down!! 🥳 And the food is delicious!! Two thumbs up!
This locals only beach bar and grill is the only place I go at Pensacola Beach! Become a regular and be treated like family. Barkeeps will get to know you quickly and recall your favorite go-to libation without you needing to say a word! The food is very good, the daily specials especially so! Great music every week. Stop by, youll not regret it!
Great place for live music and cold drinks!Friendly staff, indoor & outdoor seating, right on the water’s edge. Lots of fun!
Nice little seaside bar and music venue. We had drinks and food for a party of four for$100. The fried pickles were yummy and I recommend the fried fish. Most importantly, an amazing sunset view and great music
I just LOVE this place. Had a great time! Friendly ppl, great live entertainment, good burger, outdoor bar, dog beach, pet friendly rooms, comfy bed... WOW! Locals were very cool in helping us navigate around to do what we wanted, all within walking distance. Were not fussy so we had much more fun at Paradise Inn than at the Wyndham in Destin, saved over $200 on our room, got to bring our puppy AND a cooler! Well be back!!
Terrible service from our waiter.
Hole-in-the-wall restaurant with covered and waterside in the sand dining. The food is good..the drinks are good..the music is as good as anywhere else..BUT..you have to go for the ambience and the staff. Its an expierience you dont want to miss. The beach lifestyle and attitude summed up in one place.
We had the paradise burger. The fries are more like a potato wedge. They were very tasty. Our server was great. The atmosphere was nice sitting outside on the bay side.
Nice shaded areas with fans to keep you cool. Order a couple large Bushwhackers and youll be chilling in no time. Beautiful view and beach areas close by for the kids to play in.
Not impressed. Trashy, Dirty, with Rough crowd at times. Located next to Sewage Treatment facility in the parking lot of a cheap motel , so Not the ideal place on the island to eat food. Not the most welcoming business. Fake beach with palm trees and sand, Not impressed with the quality of food or wait service. Takes a long time to get food. Over priced for what it is. Way better places on the island for food, drinks, and music. Somewhat run down, and its a long way from being Paradise.
Went mid-week and they had a great blues band. Family really enjoyed it as they had sand toys for my little guy and my oldest fed ducks off the dock. Great bar and cheap food for the unpretentious!
Mediocre service. Crappy mixed drinks. Nasty behind bar highly visible. Bartender acted like she didn’t care if my friend and I ever came back after telling her it was our first visit and that it was my birthday. Owner or manager emerged from her office while we were there. She never even looked our way. It was mid day and we were two of 6 people there. Low point of an otherwise great day. Never going back.
Formerly this was a locals hangout, before word go out. Great music venues occur regularly. However, parking has recently become part of their business, due to overcrowded beaches. To get close, be prepared to pay $20 to park (redeemable with meal and drink purchases). Its open air, with cover on stage and in bar and dining areas. The best way to visit is by boat, unless you have a beach cat. Theres a seawall- boats can moor at their 130 foot pier. To grab a cold drink on the go, bikes or scooters work to avoid parking hassles.
Love the music and setting, but hate the service. The wait staff generally works hard and I appreciate that, but there seem to always be too few of them and that results in poor service...often. I really wish management would do a better job properly staffing the business. Be prepared to visit the bar to get a drink as a servers attention can be difficult to attain.
First of all, Rene is the most amazing owner ever. The bushwacker is their signature drink and its one heck of a drink! Right on the water, with a long dock and fun beach seating as well as good food and live music from all over! Touring there is one of my favorite places and it is walking distance from the beach. I would give it 6 stars if I could! Best memories of that place and trust me, the music is soo Good!!! Drinks are great! Bathrooms as well and its also a hotel so you can stay the night and watch a band with no worries. Good vacation spot
A great local bar that is hidden between a lot of more.tourist centered places. Good food good access to the water and great drinks! The left side of the bar is the only area where dogs r allowed tho
Intentionally came here for a sunset dinner for the first night of our vacation and we were not disappointed. Our server Amanda was fantastic. The mahi tasted frozen. They had my favorite whiskey for a great price so that was a definite plus. Will come again.
Had a nice atmosphere and ambiance looking out to the sound. Band wasnt playing when we went. Service was ok, burger was ok, had shrimp PO boy had better. Drinks were good. Had a long island ice tea and it was made well. No frosted glass for the beer.
Stayed at this hotel last week, theres nothing wrong w the hotel. It was a fairly priced local owned hotel, very nice. Ate at the restaurant and everything was very good. Came back to stay again, and ordered the same meal I ordered last week (fried shrimp basket) and the shrimp was undercooked. No big deal, life happens right? Called down to let them know I wanted it recooked, and Id come down and pick it up and bring the undercooked shrimp to return. Instead of starting it when I called like I asked, they waited till I returned to get the shrimp from me to inspect it and give me their opinion on whether it was cooked or not. Bar tender comes back out and informs me that the cook said the shrimp was cooked fine and hes not gonna remake the shrimp cause it will be just the same. And told me to pick something else. What? So instead of fresh seafood I got some dry chicken tenders. No ones perfect, but to refuse to recooked something, is just unacceptable.
Best burger on the beach, we always take guests here. Great live music too! Just know this is island time, never enough staff so relax in the sand and be prepared for a wait for service. Worth it!
