Staff were friendly - service was excellent… but we never got into the space. 12 of us got to the front desk - found out about the mandatory yearly $50 fee, then walked away.We are all visitors to Detroit (there for a weekend). It would have cost us all $65 minimum for a singular visit… which makes absolutely no sense. None of us can be sure we’d be back in a year: and not one of us can think of any local saunas/bath houses that have a similar cost of entry.I’m urging the management to reconsider this policy…

Every time I go, I always have a great time. You never know what kind of experience you are going to have. Ive been to the body zone about 10 times, and every time, it was a different group of people but very entertaining, and I will definitely be going back!!

This definitely is a MUST go to. When I went the staff were great and not too nosey. And let’s just say I enjoyed myself. Ask about the discounted out of state membership and Do yourself a favor and come Thursday- Monday nights.

Im a little upset because I I refused e the worker tyler just had brought my membership and ironically she stated that I was being because I refuse to do anything for me time I would like need a manger

Probably one of nicest saunas and steam rooms I’ve been to. Hot and dry in the sauna. Steamy hot and smelled citrusy. Is that a word citrusy because that’s what it smelled.Staff very cool.Cast of characters was fun, pleasant and really added a twist to your usual sauna. Never know what you’ll run into around any corner. Looking forward to going back.

They charge you $50 for annual membership and they also charge you $25 for a room and $30 for a locker every time you go there. To make matters worse, they increase the price of rooms and lockers on the weekends. Not to mention, the steam room smells like mildew and it almost made me pass out. Also, I couldn’t stand his guys were smoking cigarettes and even weed openly. Definitely not going back there again!

Had an amazing time at Body Zone last night!! Clean facilities and awesome staff, nice variety of guys for a Thursday . Will definitely be coming back soon! Thanks for the reduced membership fee for out of state members. Check this sauna out you wont be disappointed.

I can say nothing bad about the facilities, other that in-room videos are from the 1990s and the place is as dark as the dark hole of your nightmares: you have to turn on the lights.But the disappointing (and disturbing) things is that this place lets a few loudest and idling queens run the show. Those loud, overconfident (too dark to see if they are better looking than the Macbeth witches) dark mistresses of the night cant stop yapping. Yup-yup! She-she.They are also police informants who would, gleefully, set you up and turn you inMaybe to help the establishment to continue to operate. Maybe to score points with law enforcement and management so that their incessant and loud existence is allowed to go on in the dark.Buy more soap, BZ.Get this business-hurting clique out.Make your members privacy and dignity the focus of your business policy.The rules you -- yes, you, the owners and managers, -- set for your members apply (or dont) to all. Regardless of how loud and/or connected your visitors are.Dont sacrifice your members for the chance to stay open.Pluckm chickens.

I went there had money stolen from me. Went there tonight before I even left my room a worker tried to entered and said they left their phone there was no phone of course and the last time I was there and missing cash the same guy was working. So don’t take cash and watch your transactions with your debit cards and credit cards.

No more under 30 discount! Or I guess they have it but now only on weekdays before 4 when nobody is there lol. Not great when I had to renew my membership at the same time, and not worth it just to let a bunch of dust bunnies try to grope me.

I don’t even know what to say five stars for me. Place was clean friendly staff shower room was amazing. The list just goes on. We will be back for sure!!!!

First time going there. Was pleasantly surprised. Only could stay an hour or two but the room was great and everything was really clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the steam room a lot...love being watched by a group of guys. Definitely come back. The trans girl behind the desk is so hottt!

I am one of the original members and was about to turn in my membership due to the conditions of the club in 2017 after about 10 years of no improvements and little maintenance. Then in 2018, the club was sold and new management took over. The club became much cleaner, the staff much more friendly, and the shower area updated to the equivalency of a Steamworks shower area. While continuing to be transformed, the experience has vastly improved. I give 5 stars for the progress made thus far since new management took over. Prior to the ownership. I’d give it 3 stars. This is the perfect club for me. I’m a white guy who mostly catches the eyes of black men, and the club has probably the highest % of black men at any bathhouse in the country. Black guys, White guys, Latino guys, Asian guys, Arab guys....Friday and Saturday late nights are the best. Love this place. Always leave happy and chilled after an intense work week.

I was just visiting detroit for the weekend and I went to check this bathhouse and take a room but the guy asked me to pay 50$ for annual membership!!!! + the room 80$ thats crazy just to stay few hours and never come back in Detroit..Thats ridiculous and not fair for the tourists...So I decided to go back home

This establishment has had a beautiful internal face lift.super clean new paint tile rooms including VIP. Rms look fantastic. Vary professionally done including sealing floors in rms.you can have confidence thats its clean and can stay that way.I have come to understand that Tony and several of the staff stepped up and worked tirelessly for months cleaning scraping ceilings .they spent a lot of effort to remove loose paint to give all the members a place to be proud of.once your a member this is your oasis to visit and explore. I have had some of the most exciting experiences ever.safe clean erotic. As we move into the future several improvements are in the works.come experience the time of your life too I highly recommend it. Even if you only need your privacy and sleep cant be beat.....Lights on low is super!! VIP rooms better than general motels.even has mini refrigerator. Horrible. Ultra expensive and they only offer 2 condoms!!! And then when u ask for more they give u another 2. No dark rooms at all, please do t waste ur money here. They are lucky that they are the only sauna in Detroit, otherwise this place would be closed due to bankruptcy.

Its been more than 10 years since I have been here. I enjoyed myself lastnight. I myself and so many others hope that the establishment Soon!!Gets a new and operational jaccuzi or swimming pool. Its essential to grow the business to the max.

I used to enjoy the BZ. On last visit I was told membership was revoked with no warning or explanation. I emailed the manager but never heard back. Very disappointing.

Went there for the first time today and definitely enjoyed it. Decent crowd there. Mix of late 20s to late 50s types. Very clean, very comfortable facilities. Steam room, showers and sauna all very nice.

When I travel domestically or abroad, I always visit local gay saunas, mostly to help keep them financially afloat. I plan to be in Detroit for only a few days, so a $50 annual membership is a no-go. Optional day or weekly passes seem to work well for other saunas. BZ really should reconsider, if it wants out-of-town visitors.

Rude staff. Especially one of the older men in his late 40s with a shaved head and glasses that works the night shift. We were trying to renew our room and he was absolutely rude, aggressive and kicked us out at 4am. We are Canadian and were sleeping trying to use our card which worked just fine that same night. We were treated like criminals, yelled at and forced to leave. Although we have had numerous incidents with rude staff I must say that the younger staff is very nice and accommodating however the older staff is rude and should not treat their guests and customers this way. This is unacceptable and having travelled the world we have never been treated in such a grotesque manner!

I am impressed with the update and the new management. Updated shower room, new dry heat sauna, better steam room, paint, floors, tv etc. My criticism is smoking. Pot or cig smoking in every room is allowed. Some rooms have ash tray. They do have designated indoor smoking area however with questionable ventilation.

Was there today, 10/11/20, to check the place out as a friend told me EVERYTHING about this place. My mind was blown then and is again now. I am VERY surprised and VERY happy! First time there and I LOVE IT! Was only there on recon. I can find myself frequenting this place alot into the future. Be it to chill or have fun. Guy at counter answered all of my questions, helpful and patient in answering. People their friendly. Every time i passed by a guy, was greeted and i greeted back. Nice place. All the reviews i read before going matched. Clean, tidy, well kept/maintained, safe, modern (never been to prior to new ownership), and more.

Came to Body Zone on July 28th and 29th. From Texas, Had to pay for a membership { Which was $50 and worth it} The service was excellent & the tops was in the house. I will be back, the tops made me feel welcome { Loaded me up} Very clean & Wonderful Service { I paid for 6 month membership & a room, it was worth it}

They did a good job upgrading, I wish they still had the hot tub though. Looking forward to going back, its a fun safe place to play and relax. 🍆💦😜

Excellent service. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The new renovations are very nice indeed. No more smelly bathroom...lol. I highly recommend you visit ASAP. Take a load off and enjoy.

Love the vip rooms! The tv rooms are great for the price too. Clean facilities and super kind staff. I walk out filled and relaxed every time. Showers are great and the steam room is better!

I was visiting for one night couldn’t find any prices listed on their website. I caught an Uber all the way there and when I went in they were charging $50 for a membership and $25 for a room. I asked if they had a one day member ship or day pass since I’m only here for one night. They said No, so they wanted to pay $75 for one night !!! I left

Charged full price and some sort of membership required. Both the steam and sauna were not working. The worst part was the cigarette smoke made the place smell like a stale ashtray. Dont waist your time or money.

I gave them 1 ⭐️ because they didn’t advertise on the website that “due to” Covid19 you have to pay a $50.00 membership fee and if I knew this I wouldn’t have driven from the airport to the place 30 minutes (24 miles) when I was just on Detroit on a business trip.

This place has turned around in a great way! This place is much cleaner, nicer staff and renovation is nice. The sauna doesnt smell anymore! Nice!
