Getting your hair dyed for the first time can be so scary! Especially if you’re not entirely sure what you want; you just know you want change.Amanda took her creativeness and transformed my hair. I couldn’t be happier with the results! 😍 She did such an amazing job and was so kind and professional.Also, this was my first time at Ahead of Style and it is such a cute and welcoming place!

I worked with Amanda and she was absolutely amazing! I’m always a bit nervous to try a new salon since I do have curly hair and it’s hard to find good stylists, but she made me feel so comfortable and also did such a wonderful job. Went and got a balayage from Nicole and she is absolutely amazing and made me feel so beautiful! She is such a personable person and helped me bring my dream hair to life. Not only was she amazing but she is a wiz with hair. So so talented. Can’t recommend enough!

After my move from Colorado, I was looking for a new stylist, and this cute salon was recommended to me. I got so lucky to find Melinda on my very first try! I cant tell you how many compliments I have received on my haircut! I had 5 or so cuts now, and Melindas cuts are consistently good!

The Solon is absolutely adorable and beautiful! Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly. Its been a super long time since Ive last gone to a professional stylist. So Im always nervous to find a new one. I was seen by Melinda Hering, and she went up and beyond my expectations! She worked with me for every step and any changes I may want to make, and I didnt leave until we both thought it was perfect!! Definitely have my new salon!!

Nicole is exceptional at what she does! I had virgin hair and trusted her enough to give me a partial balayage, and I was blown away! She made me feel so comfortable and talked me through the whole process, while also giving me advice on what tone would be best for my hair color. I went to Mia a few weeks ago and was SO pleasantly surprised! I have super curly hair and am really picky about who I see-usually I drive to Portland but read online that she can cut curly hair and Mia did not disappoint! My haircut was perfect. Today I brought my two girls to get haircuts from Mia and she did a great job-they were all smiles and loved their cuts. Im very happy to have found Mia!

I found Mia from by a neighbors referral. She cut my very vain and picky 7 year old’s tangled curly hair from bum to shoulder length and we’re all so happy with it. She cut bangs, layers and it just looks adorable, healthy and stylish. Mia was also so friendly and kind with my kids and put everyone at ease. Her rate is much less than the children’s salon we used to go to

Mia has been doing my hair since 2019. She always does an amazing job. I have moved out of state & will not let anyone touch my hair. I make sure I save enough $$ to book a flight to see her. & my family of course. 😊 she is an amazing stylist, very knowledgeable and will walk you through each step before & during your hair transformation. She listens to your wants & needs. Will give you the best advice for taking care of your hair after you leave so you aren’t left with questions & able to keep your hair as beautiful & shiny as the day you walked out of the salon.

Mia was amazing! Im always high anxiety anytime I get a haircut from so many bad experiences. She explained every single thing she did and asked all the right questions throughout the cut. I have very fine curly hair and in the past hairdressers never seem to know what to do with it. This is the first haircut in 6 years that I didnt go home crying. I will definitely go back to her. She has my trust. And pricing was VERY reasonable.

My hairdresser of 20 years retired. I had to look around and find a new place to go. After several attempts, I found Ahead of Style. It is located in a funky house, is always clean and friendly.I now have been seeing Michelle for about 5 years and she is great. I have my hair cut and either highlighted or lowhighted depending on whether I need more blonde or a little darker. She always ask what I want to do at each visit and she listens to me. Generally, I give her a quick response and then trust her to do the right thing. My hair looks great and I am thrilled to spend some time with a wonderful person.I highly recommend this salon and Michelle.

Nicole Pursell at Ahead of Style is the ONLY hair stylist I will go to. She’s an absolute joy to be around, and will keep you smiling and laughing your entire service. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about what she does and you can tell how much she cares about the health of her clients hair. Every time I leave the salon I feel like a million bucks. Her blondes and balayage are out of this world!

Emilie did my hair for the first time last week. I was able to schedule a next day appointment with her all online. She was super helpful, and my experience was pleasant. I am always very scared seeing a new stylist, but I could tell right away that Emilie was experienced and I could trust her. I am so in love with my hair. I got a cut and a bayalage. I had very long hair that I dont style often. I received a fresh look still keeping my hair shoulder length. A blow dry and quick tips on styling my new cut and I was ready to go in only 45 minutes. Stylist was very attentive at meeting my needs and requests to best suit my lifestyle. Conveniently located next to a nail salon and delicious café, makes a pampering afternoon easy to obtain and very affordable!

I have never been so happy with my hair! I came in with a disastrous dye-job from a different salon and Nicole completely saved me. When I came in, she walked me through different options for reaching my desired hair goals, clearly communicating everything I should expect. A very good curly cut, I didnt communicate clearly about length and lost a good deal I didnt expect to; however cut has really brought my curls out, and the cut will grow out well.

I was contemplating writing a review but here I am .I came in last week and I dont know what happened..But my hair ended up absolutely horrible 😔...The layers looked like steps .. Everything was extremely uneven .It was so bad I literally cried and thought about shaving my head. I ended up having to go to another salon and having to wack my hair 😭. She was shocked that they let me leave the salon like that .Ive been in here before and never had a bad experience so I dont know if it was an off day or what happened but spending that much money on your hair you should leave happy.. I didnt realize how bad it was until the next day and saw how uneven it was. And the color was a lot darker than I wanted so I had to get my color fixed too. Almost $500 for what I would say having to wack my hair ..Im so sad 😔 And if youre wondering why I didnt call the stylist ...I was truly afraid my hair wouldve been butchered further ..

Nicole did my hair. I asked for a peekaboo with just blonde. She didnt use any toner after she bleached. She left my hair completely orange. I decided to give her another try so I went back but this time she did use toner, she says. But my hair was still orange. Do NOT reccomend going to her!

I have been coming to Ahead of Style for an entire year now. My stylists name is Dennelle and she does a superb job of taking a haircut I want and molding it to suit my face shape, hair texture. Reasonably priced, and I love how I can book online and see the available appointments for that day. I highly recommend this place! (if youre curious, I am 31 years old ... and have great hair : ) )

After trying out more salons than I can count in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area, this is where I found my FOREVER stylist! Donelle is SUPERB! Love her! And she has become a very dear friend of mine. I always walk away from her cutting station looking fabulous! She does such a great job!

Don’t go here if you are getting hair color. The color was nothing that I wanted. but way too dark. To the point I HATE it I’m hiding my hair in baseball caps and thinking of shaving it off I hate it soon much. I told her I didn’t like the color and I sent her a message before my visit telling her what I was hoping for and all the info on my hair I was ok with not getting what I wanted but the color is way too dark for my skin. Color it looks black it washes me out and makes all my imperfections very visible I was originally hoping for Carmel brown and got black …… Worst thing is I have photos coming up and she knew this …. I called left a message and asked about any way to tone it down since it’s so disgusting she said no …..

I come to see Crystal for PCA peels. She is very knowledgeable, the treatments have significantly helped my skin, and she has been very accommodating to my odd schedule. I look forward to my visits, I feel like I more than I pay for every time. I highly recommend for facials and PCA peels.
