Tapas Waikiki

Went there because I wanted to eat, drink and meet people. Their advertised menu was promising. I ordered a drink and asked for a menu, only to learn they are no longer serving food even though one of the guys sitting at the bar had a plate of food. There were only 4 old guys at the bar. The bartender was not friendly. The drink was smaller and more expensive than another gay bar down the street. It is probably the first time I left bar after two sips of my drink.

Amazing vibe and super friendly staff and clientele. Really know how to make everyone feel welcome. Lots of great local recommendations. Lots of hosted events throughout the month.

The bartenders here give exemplary service! They have a great ambience and serve you with a great time! Fridays and Saturdays they have a DJ perform to give you a fun night out dancing and drinking. Tapas is the place for you!

Love the ambience and had awesome customer service. There also is a pool table which is hard to find nowadays.

UPDATE!! Went back and it was the same native Bartender as the first day. He was very nice, recognized us as soon as we walked in. It’s only right, that I give it a better review. This Bartender makes this place. 1/13/24The first night we went, the bartender (guy) WAS GREAT!!!!!! 1/10/24. He played a mixture of music. He checked on the customers. Today, 1/11/24. The atmosphere WAS NOT THE SAME. The bartender was playing rec music the entire time. Asked to mix the music. Said that she like this music. She said she would mix the Tec music. NEVER DID. Not sure why she was against catering to the customers. Bad taste will not be back if she is the bartender.

Bar was super dead and the bartender was a jerk. Don’t go here if you want to have a good time. Pathetic wanna be bar

LOVE it here. Definitely my go to spot. This bar has multiple themed events and just a good vibe about it. You can find Jason or David working the bar or the door (no cover), and they are amazing. The DJs take requests and keep the music going all night to keep you moving. The patrons are so welcoming too. This has that local vibe that always welcomes new faces. Try it out!!

Awesome place for drinks and our bartender Alex was super awesome! He made us feel at home and relaxed! Not only that, he made some super awesome drinks!

Seedy and uninviting little gay bar, as they usually are. Bartender was the type that when she touched my lime with her bare hands after touching several other surfaces, I was grossed out by it. Im very glad they were both bottled beer. Had one and done.

Came here after a disappointing time at another place and they saved the night! Great atmosphere and music, delicious drinks and friendly service. Josh was an excellent bartender. Will definitely be back!

When turned away from the majority of the bars, or having to wait up to 3 hours for a drink, these folks welcomed us like friends! We spent a good couple hours here until our dinner reservation. Great drinks, and it was also someones birthday so they shared the cake with us! Definitely recommend if looking for something laid back

Went there on Nov 5 2023, bartender is really friendly and welcoming , drink is really reasonable priced and really tasty. Pool table is free !

Absolutely love this place! Had the best experience after such a long stressful night out at the clubs dealing with dumb*as bouncers who thought my REAL WA ID was fake. My friends and I were served by Michael/Victoria who totally lifted our spirits and gave us a great time. They treated us to their favorite drink when we had no idea what to order and made us feel incredibly welcome. Definitely would recommend; the vibes or great!!

Axel was very nice and always checked on my drink. And ready for a refill. I however thought it was dirty and patrons keep going to the kitchen. Like they owned the place. Then when it came time to wash my hands. You needed a board with a key to unlock the door.

John is the most pleasant and accommodating person ever!!He is so attentive! On my birthday, he gave me my favoriteblueberry pancakes without being asked. Who does that?Hes always working and tries to give a variety of meals on hismenu. I want to eat there every night but I live in Kaneohe.The bartenders are great, always making sure your glass isfilled and youre happy. What more could you ask for?

Lovely gay bar! Kitchen closes at 8pm and apparently represents Hawaiian tapa not Spanish small plates. Nevertheless the bartender was brilliant, stiff drinks were great, and the vibe was chill on a Sunday night with last call at 11:15pm.

Great staff and atmosphere they all made me feel the aloha! Definitely a must stop when in Hawaii

The best deal for Sunday brunch in town. Local bar with regular customers. It is sort of like the show Cheers where everyone knows your name if you are regular. Nightly dinner specials are good. The burger is one of the best around for a good old fashion American burger. Cooked the way you want it with what ever add-ons you request.

I was tipsy so of course I didn’t realize this was LGBTQ friendly. I am a straight girl, so after dealing w awful people at certain pub with tons of toxic dudes, this was a relief. Thank you! Vodka tonics for $10!!!

Probably my favorite bar in Waikiki because of how quaint and private it felt. Preston, the bartender, was fun and welcoming. Came for one and stayed for many. Will definitely go back!

Pretty much my home bar. Its not classy, more like homey. Think Cheers without Diane and Carla. People friendly. Left wing progressive and laid back.

LOVE TAPAS! Friendly staff fun karaoke (older song list and good drinks. You wont find the newer top 40/current chart toppers here.

The bar is conveniently located in downtown Honolulu (Waikiki). The staff is friendly and easy to talk with and the pool table is always fun to use.

I regret not coming here sooner! Received such a warm welcome by staff and enjoyed a wonderful drink. Will be back to visit again soon. Mahalo and aloha!

I come here sometimes to stay up late.It says its a gay bar, but the staff is a woman, so is it really true? I thought so, but most of the customers were gay couples.But everyone seemed cheerful and having fun, the staff were kind, and it was a fun bar with music playing! The price is also reasonable! !
