This place is like five vanues in one. Theres a stage for live performances thats usually a separate ticket. Theres a smaller bar that does comedy and jazz. Theres an open bar with standing room and dart boards. Theres a pool hall. Theres a poke stand. Theres even a speakeasy that is tucked away for special samurai/ninja/ronin themed cocktails called Wild Orange. Theres a lot to do here and everyone can find something to do.

Pool tables are cool, music not so much. The few times I have gone EDM music, the he music isn’t bad but if that’s all that plays 24/7 it’s really annoying. Parking is cash only so huge inconvenience if you don’t have any. Lastly bartenders are slow and rude and don’t seem to care if they have you waiting. Plenty of pool tables though 😂

Went for daft punk show, arrived an hour early. Texted wild orange (their upscale speakeasy reachable only by text) earlier in the day with no reply. WO was basically empty but refused to serve us a single round. Went to the darts/billiards bar, 6 of us sat at the bar. Bartender told us if we wanted a drink we needed to get up and get in line to order. Only bar in the world to ever not serve patrons sitting at the bar. Finally after 45 minutes the other bartender offered us drinks, but since the show was starting it was too late. Then turns out despite the tickets being 9pm-12am, the headliner didnt even show up until 12am. Hardly any crowd in the event hall untill at least 1130pm. Horrible service all the way around. Guess they assumed we were just more haole tourists. Plenty other places to go, and if you are a tourist find anywhere else!

Hawaiian Brians is one of the best pool halls in Honolulu. If youre here on vacation stop by and try out either their 7ft or 9 ft tables. This is the original home of Rodney Morris the Rocket. They also have comedy and concerts on various nights of the week.I highly recommend for an entertaining evening.

Great place to shoot pool and have some drinks. Sometimes theres a long line to wait in at the bar to get drinks, a pool table, etc. I like the music they play. The parking is tight and if you dont like to walk up or down stairs, ask a friend to drop you off at the door, lol! Bring cash to pay for parking. Pool tables are decent, but some are old and not exactly level, but its more about having fun with friends! Bring your own cue stick if you got one, or you can use the house sticks.

My first experience there was the worst. The two bar tenders there both help a small group then ignore me and 15min later give dirty looks while asking what I want for last call a hour before closing. I didnt even order or stay after that, all I wanted was to play a game of pool. But I will not give my money to someone like that.

This place always has weird energy. Not a single person I’ve ever encountered who works here is friendly by any means 🤷🏻‍♀️ I only ever hang around HB when I’m going to Wild Orange with a group and they wanna play pool afterwards but the vibes have never been very Aloha and there are definitely better spots where you can experience the welcoming vibe that is so special & unique to Hawaii. Also they don’t even have limes or any fruit at the bar so the drinks were pretty gross lol.

That dumby at the front door couldn’t tell the difference between a real ID and a fake ID. He took two of our IDs and refused to give them back until the police were called. Then, when he saw I was calling the police he ran out the door to give the IDs back. It was a waste of time for the police to come back. He was patronizing all of us. Do not recommend. Worst Bartender service on the planet and that goes from giving you the wrong drinks to actually giving your Government issued military ID to a complete stranger. There is a short white (older looking in the face) bartender who me and countless others have had a problem with everytime, and her first solution is I can get you kicked out smh. As well as that I watched her pour a guy 5 shots and he walked off juggling the drinks to his party.. when I ordered 2 shots she said I couldnt leave the bar with two drinks.. save your money or find another place to go because the whole expirence was a rip off... not to mention they randomly started towing peoples cars in the garage because security claimed they were double parked.

I REALLY SUGGEST TO NOT WASTE MONEY AT THIS VENUE. Staff rude was extremely rude, specifically the poke vendor, doorwoman at one of the rooms inside the social club, and the security that was screaming at people to leave and not be in certain areas that had ZERO indication whether people were allowed to be there. COMPLETELY opposite behavior of what I’ve experienced with most people on Hawaii. And the venue is super small and shares building space with a billiards room randomly? I feel bad for Hawaii because the nightlife here is just not it compared to other parts of the US, and it shows with venues like Hawaiian Brian’s. For sure will never come back here again.

I attended an event at HB Social Club. The event area was good. The staff was friendly. The pool hall and snack/food area were fine. The restroom was kind of wrecked, and two stalls were out of order. I was not a fan of the parking garage at all. The spaces were really small, the driving lanes are only small enough for two small cars to drive by each other (any bigger, and they dont fit), and the lot was packed. If you go, I advise getting there early and looking for street parking or parking elsewhere.

With the new layout you still get the pool tables, plus other activities such as a dart room, bar, mini food cafe, and hosting for special events (live music and acts). All in all they are catering to the public with multi-functional spaces. Its a nice place to chill and shoot some pool. Food and bar are limited but is good enough for pupus.

Been coming here for years and a bartender I have yet to meet on a Saturday is one of the rudest inconsiderate people I’ve met in the service industry to date. If you’re lucky enough to have your order taken after waiting for 3 minutes of her and her bar mate discussing their daily life’s challenges while you stand there just staring at them then consider yourself lucky. After playing pool then darts we as a group of 8 decided to play pool again which she rudely says there’s a wait list. I have managed night clubs for years before I started my own business’s and know that sometimes days are just tougher than other so didn’t take this rudeness to heart. It wasn’t until we asked if we could play on a empty table she said “does it look like we are letting people play on that table” then I said “well that was a bit rude, you could have just said that we couldn’t play there for whatever reason”. And then she said we couldn’t go onto the waitlist because I was having a bad time. When I asked for her name and manger she said her name was Megan and she was the manager. So I asked for her manager and she said she was the general manager. So I have run multi million dollar operations and I’m sure a early 20 year old with these standards will not be running a established business of this size so I’m pretty skeptical that she was the GM, possibly her name wasn’t even Megan, who knows. Shift manager possibly but definitely not the GM. I left so that the rest of my party would be allowed on the wait list. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here and bring employees here on numerous occasions but this is by far the worst service I’ve been given. Normally I promote this as a place to have staff night outs and special occasions, but I was embarrassed that I even brought my group here as they had the same issues with rudeness and waiting until they finished chatting before they served us. I really hope this doesn’t become the norm of such a great place.

Tell your friends not to bring their vapes. Our friend who was our sober driver was kicked out by this security guard for vaping. The man lied to his staff telling them he had told her 4x, when the reality was he walked up and kicked her out on the first time speaking to her. She’s new to town and didn’t know the law, but she offered to throw the vape away to stay in the show and be there for her friends. Most of the staff was reasonable saying if it was up to them they would have let her stay, but this man had it out for her, for whatever reason. Then, because I was associated with her, the man kicked me out of the show, too, even though I had nothing to do with the situation. Then our other diabetic friend came outside to test her blood sugar and sat with us, and they kicked her out because they saw she was with us. Ashamed in Hawaiian Brian’s in the handling of this situation.

An arcade and 27 full-size billiard pool tables may be found in the area around the Showroom. Full-Service Bar with an extensive selection of alcoholic beverages. The bartender was extremely rude taking our drink orders and when we asked if they served food, she said, “we don’t serve food at HB.” There was a sign right before you entered the pool hall showing the food that was available to order. So we then asked the security and they helped us order food. When we went back and told her we ordered food in the other area she rolled her eyes at us. All we wanted to do was play some pool at one of the only real spots on island to play, and get turned around because one person in our group was 14 days away from being 21. First I must preface: we went to play pool with a couple friends. We didnt go to the speak easy, our the concert. Our experience was purely a dining/pool playing experience. Bare in mind as well that social distancing a very minor role in my experience tonight.First, there was very little clear signage to differentiate between the different rooms so you have to ask around, very minor and the front staff were very kind if not busy directing people.Where the issues really began was pool area we were at. 3 of the stool were a fabric sort and our friend has fun slapp the cushion with the pool cues to which the cushion responded with multiple cloud of brown dust that lingered on the seats. It was filthy and disgusting. The group of 4 had to share two seats of the remaining seats that were leather or vinyl instead. The bar staff wasnt exceptionally kind which would be okay if the food was any good. We orders a rum and coke, bottle of water and gyoza to start. My wife was already really hungry. At least we got a our drinks. After 30 minutes rolled by I asked about the gyoza and the bar tender said that they were waiting on the restaurant to finish. Okay, No Problem but another 15 or 20 minutes went by and so I asked for fries and another round of drink. 10 minutes later the fries came out. Okay for about an hour of cooking, the gyoza must be good right? Made from scratch, maybe with all local ingredients? No they came out after the sad fries we got and they were only warm, not hot, rubbery and basically tasted like once frozen store-bought microwave gyoza. The fries though, must be somewhat good right? Wrong again. I got a mixed batch of burned and lame soft fries, obviously frozen fries. If we werent so hungry, we wouldve taken more pictures of the food. We ate, we played a few games and drank the pretty alright drinks and we paid they less than kind bank staff. All in all, I will never go backTL:DRFood was terrible. Drinks were alright for the price. The bar staff has poor customer service. I do not recommend going for what I went for.

Another let down they had no options for any kind of non alcoholic beer.👎🏽 They charge roughly $10-12 dollars per plate for microwaved food! The bartender defended the microwave food with an attitude, and resisted a refund for the disgusting inedible BBQ chicken sliders without a dispute and were eventually refunded the money, she rudely turned her back and took her sweet time to refund the sliders with no care or regard to the customers reasonable complaint. The venue stage for performances was great. The lighting on the ceiling is a little shifty shady, and seems unsafe electrically. Be warned and prepared to eat out somewhere else in advance before attending a table reserved 3 hr show. Whether it be shooting pool, darts, watching a live band, just hanging with friends and or drinking socially - Hawaiian Brians has several choices to offer for entertainment . There are two rooms dedicated to hosting live music. One named Crossroads and the other The Studio. Based on size one focused on fitting a headlining group, and the other a more intimate setting with a stage on pretty much the same level as the audience. There is also another room that provides electronic dance music. The staff is down to earth and friendly. There is a decent amount of paid parking available - unless you choose to park at the very top - beware of the poles within the parking structure. They will require a paint job that you didnt know you needed if youre careless. Will recommend to visitors.

Hawaiian Brians Billiards has changed a lot over the past few years. They changed the layout, have less pool tables, less arcade games and parking isnt cheap now. That being said, they now have more options to choose from. They now have a bar, a huge venue area, a lounge area for smaller shows (with its own bar) and the cafe is great! I understand the complaints about the parking fees now, but that is run by a separate company. That being said, I love the pool tables that they have, the atmosphere that they makes the place feel alive (even though sometimes the song choices they have isnt to my liking, but what can I do?..lol) and the customer service that they provide is good! I plan on always coming back here to play pool either by myself or my friends!

Went to Charlesthefirst show on 7/17/21. Paid $50 per ticket. 1st I should state I’ve seen tavana and Ron artis multiple times here and it was great. However this was my first edm show in this venue. Let it be know the staff was great, the visual production great, but the sound system was absolutely pathetic. There was no bass at all. We could hear other groups of people talking on the dance floor. It should be known that bass music artists make their music… for proper sound systems , and currently hb social does not have one good enough to be booking any sort of bass music. It’s sad for the artist and even more for the fans. Hopefully they take these reviews to heart and just add some subwoofers and proper speakers to accommodate those acts, if they did I assure you they would be able to book some incredible edm talent. Until then I wouldn’t go to a edm show their if you car at all about the sound.

Very cozy. Saw Richard Thompson, only 200 or so seats.Felt intimate.Meanwhile, regular patrons outside concert area, shooting pool.I paid $50.They heard it go free.!!My only gripe is the humorless lady bartender. There was reception, starting 5:30 pm. Thompson came on 8pm, prompltly. Played 2 solid hours.Afterwards, until 2 am, there was after show party.Thompson loves that, meeting everybody, signing albums. He hangs out like that.I liked how the stage area and seating was set up.I didnt feel any bad vibes. It was nice evening.Hawaiian Brians is an awesome place to see and hear great musicians and speakers.

Foods good, drink prices are a bit high ($5 for a bud light), pool prices are reasonable, better if youre APA. They have a ton of tables to play on but avoid league nights, as it gets crowded quickly. Sure beats bars here with 1-2 tables. More of a pool hall that also sells beer, not the other way around. Cant speak for the bands, bars, or events.

Bummed to be leaving a bad review. I was enjoying dancing with my sister until James told us we were dancing too close to the fan. This was an actual complaint from the staff. DANCING TOO CLOSE TO THE FAN. James who was quick to blame the complaint on the female bartender was concerned that the single fan wasnt effective in reaching the entire room.Well, James youre right. It was hot as balls. However instead of attacking random customers for the inadequate layout.. I have a couple suggestions. Perhaps the establishment could invest in a SECOND fan... you could even move one from one of the rooms with no one in it. Maybe you could even turn on the AC. Or you could just grow some balls and learn what battles are worth fighting. 😘Would pass on this place just for the bitchy staff.

Regardless of who youre going to see there, it has the rudest staff Ive ever experienced, specifically Nelson, who kicked me and my girlfriend out because we closed our eyes to a Mike Love song while he was playing. We already paid a cover, and we traveled 9hrs+ from the Carolinas to see Mike Love, and the staff treated us like scum after paid to get in, and kicked us out because we looked tired. They also refused to let us speak to a manager at all about the discrepancy. Bad business, especially when it comes to the generally welcoming Hawaii vibe. I highly recommend NOT supporting this shady business when there are definitely other spots who treat their patrons with respect.

The place used to be amazing as a huge pool hall and gaming area. Theyve slowly added a bar (great), got rid of some pool tables for music venues (understandable), stripped the carpeting (bad for cues), left the roof unfixed so theres water dripping (pretty bad), and left the a/c for the pool area unfixed for weeks (horrible). The only real reason to shoot pool here is for the alcohol. Otherwise, there are few alternatives. Bad thing is, the pool Halls are going the way of bowling alleys in Hawaii. Just disappearing

Theres always something going on at this venue. The night I went was the homecoming show for Crimson Apple. Great performance, loved the group so much, they deserve and 5/5 review. The 4 stars is not a critique of them, but rather the quality of food and service received at the venue. There was only one person at the counter, so I was in line for over 30minutes. I ordered 2 order of musubis, for $10 (its $5 for 2). After waiting for 30 minutes, I waited another 30 minutes for the food to come out. I wasnt expecting anything great, but musubis were worse than that at foodland or a gastation. The rice was a little hard and unseasoned, and the seaweed was chewy and pretty hard to bite through. If you want to eat to sober up or before you drink, you have better luck eating before you get there or wandering around for a latenight food truck.

Fun for playing pool, but the staff was rude. As I walked away with the drinks I’d ordered tonight, the bartender yelled at me, “excuse me that’s $8,” despite me having already given her my card for the tab. I walked back and asked, “Ok, so you just hold onto the card till the tab closes, right?” and she said “yeah” without even looking up from the counter. So what did I do wrong? Did she want verbal confirmation? I hate to get elitist but you’re a bartender- what more do you want from me besides my $$? A compliment? Just get my drink. So I love Hawaiian Brian’s, but that blonde bartendress has gotta go.

Still one of my favorite spots to go to on the island. Been going here since high school days in the arcade. Things changed over the years and theres no arcade but now theres now multille venues within the establishment. Right when you enter theres a venue on the right. Go deeper and on the left theres a concert hall/area for bigger events, then after that on the right is an EDM area, then all the way at the end theres a billiards area for pool players. Oh I also forgot theres also a dart section. If you need a place to hangout, Hawaiian Brians is the place to go.

This place should not consider themselves a venue for live music. Someone grabbed my friend (21 year old girl, 5’4”) who began crowd surfing at a PSYCH ROCK show and carried her out like a ragdoll. I ran after them and realized it was actually a security guard, who then shoved me by the neck. Yelling at him, he ejected both of us out of this $25 show. The security guard in the front refused to let us back in and denied me speaking to the security guard who kicked us out or the manager there. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE, and read the other reviews that show an obvious pattern of a shady business being ran with terrible customer service and atmosphere. I believe this type of treatment is stemming from the owner, Glenn Anderson.
