Jonathan knows anatomy very well, as he was able to locate small, sore muscles very precisely and use consistent pressure and movement to relax them. It is deep-tissue massage, which requires some deep breaths and a mind-set of acceptance for me, and it provided the release I really needed. I requested eucalyptus oil to help with my sinuses which he added for free. He listened very well and didn’t talk too much or too little. Highly recommend!

Jonathan is a very gifted massage therapist. I had overworked my glutes and lower back to the point of full muscle spasm causing a pinched nerve. Jonathan has impeccable technique. He finds and focuses on micro and macro knots - he does very deep work, and doesnt just go through the motions, but follows what your unique body really needs. His approach is varied therapeutic, very deep tissue massage. He is exceptionally strong; if youre looking for just a relaxation massage this might not be the best fit for you, but if youre looking to release long-held tension and want really deep work by someone whos best in the field, hes your guy.

Jonathan is incredibly gifted, as my body/energy/mind always feels profoundly transformed when I get off the table. My massage with Jonathan was just what I needed to help relieve my psoas, hip and SI joint pain. Jonathan is not only a good massage therapist, hes a good business person. As a business attorney I pay close attention to client processes. The booking process, the reminders, and the good communication during the process are all very appreciated. Ive had massages where it was as if I was barely touched and/or the massage therapist randomly did things that made no sense and seemed sporadic. I came to Jon because of the online reviews after moving here a week ago. Im glad I followed the information because I feel wonderful. He was very thoughtful and respectful of my body and the space and needed little explanation of my injuries. After having this initial visit I have no hesitation to make him a regular healer for my needs. I am already counting down the days until my now weekly appointments to keep my back injury paints manageable. I have had spine surgery and have had chronic pain for years. I woke up the next day with significantly less pain than I have usually. I am looking forward to the continued progress I am going to make post surgery to enjoy my life more than ever!

Therefore, I am constantly in that position of kind of facing the doctor while trying to keep my hands on the key board.His deep tissue skills are great. My back and entire body feels great after the massage, and especially the week after. Ive tweaked my neck and one session with fire cupping and deep tissue absolutely resolved my issue.The whole experience is rehabilitating, for the massage, but also the breathing, the calm.. the reminder that you can release some tension in areas, just by breathing and relaxing. I cannot recommend Jonathan Fessler enough, I only feel slightly at odds, because if other people go to him, he wont have such an awesome, open schedule!

Jon has clinically addressed the ongoing needs of my bodys active lifestyle. After a few 90 min bi-weekly sessions, it is clear he has an understanding of my problem areas, how they ebb and flow depending on each seasons activities and exactly how to target pain points. Jon is deeply knowledgeable in the relationship between not only muscle and bone but the intricate hormonal, neural, digestive, lymphatic endocrine etc systems that comprise us.Add-ons I have had during my 90 min massages from Jon include CBD oil and traditional Chinese cupping, abdominal massage,scraping massage (Gua sha). He offers additional add-on including: motor vehicle accident massage (MVA - ask your insurance!) and nutritional therapy all of which I have yet to and am looking forward to exploring.Jon is who you want for ongoing body check-ins and massage therapy maintenance. Ive had knee and hip surgery as well as recurring facet joint pain in my back, all of which cause my muscles to over compensate to gain stability. The pain from muscles, t-ban, hip flexor and a myriad of other issues has been hard to deal with, but this has done it so far! Earth & Muscle work on specific needs and not just general PT type of ineffective adjustments. I highly recommend trying out a session or more if you need specific work done for deep tissue.
