OYO Hotel Houston Southwest I-69

The rooms are better than decent, the beds are incredibly comfortable!! The staff is kind and understanding, no roaches, it’s much nicer than what you’d expect for the price. I’d absolutely recommend this location to anyone. It does look kind of rough from the outside but overall, we stayed 4 nights and had ZERO issues and ZERO complaints.

If we compare price and cleanliness to its surroundings:-it is way way better than many places that literally need to be closed after health inspections.This had v good clean rooms, washrooms, AC cooling fine, fridge working well.Bed sheets, quilts were changed every day by house staff. Only carpets need a deep wash PLZ.Recommend this as a budgeted place to everyone.

The staff that I interacted with was pretty nice. The rooms were actually pretty terrible. Roaches EVERYWHERE, awful smells, barely functioning AC. The outside was pretty rough. Very narrow walkways and the cleaning staff did not think that people would need to walk by so the carts took up a lot of space. Unless you get there before nightfall, youre gonna have a ROUGH time. Almost all roads to get there are gated and closed off. You have to illegally drive offroad to get to the entrance.

My room was Very clean the water was hot bed spread clean the microwave work the fridge was clean the mattress was soft and I was able to sleep 💤 without a bunch noise outside the security is good your cars are safe and the front desk staff is very respectful and courteous

This is a very nice hotel. The room was quite decent and neat for the price. I just had some issues opening the room door with the card which is why I am leaving a 4 star review. I will surely go back to this hotel when I am back in Houston and I will recommend this hostel to everyone.

Bissonnet itself is a horrible place, but this hotel does not offer refuge. Its infested with roaches, Ive lost my wallet, the clerk with the bald head and tattoos was VERY rude to me upon checking in, and the carpets are FILTHY. It smells like feet and I had to put down a blanket for my baby to crawl. The rooms are broken down and the locks to the room doors barely work. The shower is too small and in my experience had a past tenants dirty foot residue on the shower floor. Its not worth $370/week ://

The door didn’t lock. Staff was accommodating to change our room the next day but we couldn’t even stay one more night. Reeked of cigarettes. Rooms felt dirty and unlivable. Old bathrooms. Shady creepy place.

When I got there, police was there, so they turned off the water pressure and it took quite a while for it to work again, as well as that the ergonomics of the sink is overall a bad design choice in my opinion.The service was beyond bad, as when I booked the room, it said online just 25$ US, where as the hotel later claimed it to be 48$ US, literally scamming me. To top this all off, when I was complaining about the water pressure, one of the male staff was trying to pick a fight, whereas I was just ignoring him.The room smelled like weed, which for me personally is an unpleasant smell, I do not wish to have while Im staying somewhere, that claims to be sanitary.Overall, a horrible experience I do not wish to have twice.Thanks for reading.

If your Black and have disability and needs your service dog to be with you? I am sorry to informed you that they will look for a way to turn you away or kick you out because they seem to not like dogs, the Spanish lady with glasses (BE AWARE WITH HER! SHE IS NASTY AND WILL LIE TO KICK YOU OUT! EVERY BODY IN THE HOTEL HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH HER CAUSE SHE IS BAD NEWS!) hates it, because she feels that housekeeping is wasting too much towels or bed cover. If they let you in first with your service dog, they will not let you stay long cause they will say they have fleas and its a lie,... PURE DISCRIMENATION!!!

It’s a quiet hotel. It looks ghetto n all, but they have security all around the complex so no one gets outta hand. I stayed for 4 nights and we had a ball! Lol. It’s in a good location near everywhere I needed to be. Thanks OYO

The service in this hotel is the worst, was there Saturday night on 03-30-2024. Will let know family & friends never to go there. Reservations was gangster want a be🤦🏻‍♂️ thinking he owns this hotel& thinks he can mistreat customers.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING ALERT!! the lady in the office is in on it too. LADIES BEWARE PLEASE!! the rooms are disgusting anyways. We tried to get something in the car and this man tried to grab my sister. and when we asked the lobby, the lady was confused even though she seen my sister running for her life from the car to the hotel. EVIL WOMAN & KARMA WILL GET HER!!

Ive spent many nights at many oyo motels but I checked in and they had 2 swat teams here plus about 30 different police officers here. A man was in a room with a gun that got arrested for idk.....I checked in at 7 Pl and didnt get into my room until midnight

This place will always mean something to me , i basically lived here with my boyfriend while being 8 months pregnant, we stayed in room 250, the room was very clean when we got there, the showers are a bit small only one person can fit but still not bad, the front desk people were nice and helpful, i paid weekly so it was decent price for everything it had, only thing that sucked was the heater not working, but other than that the cleaning ladies are cool and clean very good leave everything neat and restock what you need. i appreciate the stay i had here and if i ever visit again ill want to stay in rm 250 again❤️

I can honestly say the staff here is amazing. They are polite and friendly, but most of all they are willing to work with you and thats what I appreciate the most. Unfortunately my time in 137 has come and gone, but I will definitely recommend Oyo Hotel to anyone in search of a pleasant stay with pleasant service.

Not a family establishment. This place is not safe. The cops deserve to be there daily. We had Legit medical emergency and the front desk two women got angry at me for needing medical attention. She was talking to me like a child, frowning yelling and I wanted to how far she would go. She was rude to my guest and myself. Treated us like trashy and the only expressed concernes were having first responders coming to aid someone In need of medical help. This place is disgusting

The place is clean, comfortable and with very good attention.

Front staff is nice, in first impressions. Room was in working order, but sheets were smelly and on a second look with blue light were terrible. Then I looked around the room with that blue light and couldnt believe my eyes. No wonder the entire building smells like urine. But I had a nice quiet sleep, regardless of the mess going on outside on the street. Would come again if its the cheapest place around.. but I will travel a bit further down the road if it means better quality.

Surprisingly very comfortable. The room were very clean and sanitary. Wifi and cable. Ive been to do many hotels looking for an open pool and this one was the only one! Very happy girl!

I stayed there for 2 months. Never late on payment. All of the staff is pretty nice except for the Spanish lady at the front desk who wears glasses. She is dishonest. She claimed I broke the TV and lied and said she fixed it. My son told me he saw her check the room and didnt repair nor replace any TV. I work overnight and sleep in the daytime and her simple complaint, she didnt want me to stay there any longer. When I went to ask her what the problem really was, she kept a smirk on her face and wouldnt explain past her dishonesty. Even the Middle Eastern man standing next to her knew she was being dishonest. My advice, stay somewhere else. As long as someone pays, and doesnt break rules, it shouldnt matter how long they stay. But she will use dishonesty to evict someone if she feels they stayed too long.

Ive never stayed here but after Watching the news abc13 them rooms arent liveable black mold bed bugs roaches yes they showed it all on the news even cps got involved with this place to get the families that had no where else to go a safe and liveable place. Thats sad yall are doing them people like that at this place. Give them people their money back and stop scamming people with the lies and the fake picture yall post online. Southeast Houston OYO owner you are dead wrong for letting them people live in that condition and you knew it was ny far a liveable environment but still took their money and then used a fake website for cc payments to be made I hope somebody lawyer up on you and everyone that knew how bad this place is.

The service and employees aptitude was very friendly. The room was impeccable. The air conditioner worked perfectly. I enjoyed my stay, Even though the price was little bit too high for my budget, but I slept very good it was no noise during my stay. I guess it was worth it.. I definitely recommend this hotel..

I noticed something biting me one night, and the next day after I found a bed bug. I had gone and spoke to the owner/manager and he was so nonchalant and didn’t even offer me a new room nor did anything. After a few minutes passed I had gone back to the office and talked to a lady who was very helpful. And the amount of traffic with women up and down the street is ridiculous. Will not recommend to no one, and also their reviews only show good feedback, definitely not what it’s hyped up to be.

Location got waaayy better than what it was before . I like it being how it is now . The man at night is nice and cool . The area is nice now . Only thing I don’t like is how the police barricades the area like that

The cleaning staff repeatedly trying to come in. You know I told him service. Waiting as if the ears in English. And the dome is who worked the front lobby area I felt like was very rude though like versus Im happy to have my business. Not a safe place at night either.

The cleaning staff are thieves they will steal your belongings and then hide, the rooms are very dirty they do not clean at all theres stains and skid marks and other fluids, roaches everywhere big and small. Its so shady every hr theres atleast 1 person trying to open your door to see if its unlocked, the locks are terrible and dont work and if they do the card doesnt work to unlock it. The toilets are terrible at flushing and the “residents” living there are very disrespectful and do drugs occasionally. I don’t recommend this place to anyone at all its horrific

I checked into my room and found this DEAD ROACH on my pillow! I was on the property all of 10 minutes. This isn’t a safe place for families or anyone really. I’ve been trying to get my refund from my stay and the company has yet to refund me ! The manager won’t pick up to respond back to me. I wouldn’t suggest staying here . You’re better off at motel 6.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Plainfield inn in late September 2016. Excellent hotel in a very convenient but quiet location. Our Deluxe Premium room was quite large and quiet. The breakfast and afternoon tea/coffee were very good. I would definitely stay here again.

This is one of my favorite hotels in LA so far, it’s very welcoming and enjoyable and the place is very refreshing. Only a short drive from Venice beach and an overall nice place to be! The rustic decor was much loved and I was almost tempted to pinch a cushion.

Front desk attendant was very rude, after sitting in his chair the ENTIRE time a couple was trying to get their booking straight, he finally decided to come attend the other six guest who were waiting. He began raising his voice with me and another lady as we were trying to explain complications with booking on the app. I honestly would not recommend this place because of him. Apparently this is his worth ethic everyday. On top of that, he was using chewing tobacco while talking to guest. Not a very welcoming greeting😑

Lots of bad reviews but Ive been at worse places. The room was clean and everything worked fine. The front office window is closed you you have to use the night window, and they have vending machines for drinks and snacks, ice machine, and laundry machines. The staff isnt so friendly but overall, it was an OK stay

This place is great for the price. If you pay this amount and expect what you do for a overpriced hotel you will be disappointed.Outside of that. Clean, zero bugs, I didnt appreciate the front desk staff but I think it goes with the territory of the hotel. Vending machines available with food, drinks and toiletries. There is security on site 24 hours a day.

We did see a few bugs but the lady at the front let us make it on the deposit. The man who made our reservation said there wasnt one so we had exactly enough for the room but apparently theres a $50 deposit. She sympathized with us and didnt make us pay it. The area was not ideal. After about midnight all we saw outside were nightwalkers lol. It was insane. Someone should do something about that.

I, my mother and 2 friends stayed here for 1 night for my 21st birthday at the end of Feb. From the minute we arrived this hotel was perfect. Our rooms were spectacular (we booked 2 rooms for 4 people) they were connected to each other which was ideal for us. Its in a fantastic location; about 2 minutes walk from the area. I couldnt recommend this hotel more!

PLEASE READ. this place is a scam!!! all the positive reviews are paid for or fake. first, the woman at front desk was EXTREMELY rude. the room was the only good part, as it was somewhat clean. however, there was no hot water, we asked the front desk and they said they were having work done on the pipes. then we looked around the building and saw no workers at all. didn’t want to spend the night, we left immediately!

Just short of a dump. TV only played one channel. Water pressure was horrible. The bed had an obvious dip in it. The worst of four i have stayed in in Houston. Security the BEST of the four. Wont return

The worst place I have stayed at. The room was too small so that the beds hardly fitted. The bath fittings and furniture were old. The shower did not have hot water. Obnoxious looking people, some of them underdressed, roamed the places. I would not recommend staying in this place with family.

Yeah some reviews are bad but for 50 bucks taxes included what do you expect? We stayed here due to our power being out during the winter storm. Its not the four seasons but the rooms were clean and the parking lot is gated so I felt safe parking my truck here. I would stay here if I was in a bind again.

The room was clean. Very simple, a fair price for what you get. The shower was okay, water preassure was kinda weak and the shower head had the water come out like it was a funny firehose. Got the job done though. Friendly staff. Adequate security, given the neighborhood. I wouldnt mind staying here again if I were in the area.

Relocation to Houston & found this roach-tel to be the cheapest; after staying for 2 weeks, I know why. Staff is very unprofessional, NOT 1 speaks English, housekeeping comes into your room after you have made it as clear as glass that you do NOT wish to have the services.. EVERY DAY I had to request a new card b/c it wouldnt work, just overall a bad experience. Parking lot will tear up the bottom of your car, just NASTY rooms & environment, if you can afford to pay just a tad more: do so, go elsewhere.. This place should be shut down.. TRUST ME, you have 10 mins to request a refund, in 1 minute youll be running for the door.

Awesome stay. Room was clean no bugs. Front desk was very respectful and they had a decent light breakfast im the early a.m! I will always come here. Will recommend everyone i know to stay hereIts also very quiet!

The lady in the front that check me in was very rude , the rooms were dirty ,and service was terrible.The Hispanic lady with glasses at the front desk tried to lie and say my guest was smoking in my room ,but she was not! My room was dirty and filled with human and pet hair, also my bed had blood stains.

Overall ok place to stay for the price. The housekeeper saw everything I have to offer because she walked in my room without knocking 🙄 and I had just gotten out of the shower. Other than that I have no complaints.

The hotel is perfectly located only a 5 to 10 minute walks to the cathedral and a number of great restaurants and other sights. The hotel offers free coffee and great snacks during the day and has an ice machine. Our room was immaculate and the staff so helpful. We had breakfast in the hotel, and it was outstanding with eggs, bacon, cheese, breads, fruit, cereal etc,.

The website we booked this hotel didn’t say anything about the deposit money at all, so we were charged 50 bucks when we checked in. No bid deal, but should have informed us in advance. The room was okay, but the pillows are quite small, when I lied down, I felt as if there was no pillow at all. Everything else is fine!

My wife and i stayed in this hotel last week for two nights. We found it very central and a nice place to stay. It is very central and convenient to all amenities. The one thing that stood out was the helpfulness of the all staff at the reception desk especially a young lady who was exceptionally helpful a pleasant. We will certainly stay again when in Plainfield inn.

This place has a Hidden $50 deposit that you only find out about upon your arrival. They dont charge all the Roaches a $50 deposit. But everyone has to pay a $50 deposit only to be Harrassed and share a room with Roaches and Bedbugs then Not get back your deposit. All travel sites should know about this $50 deposit and it should be added into the price when you book the room. I was going to book a room here for 1 week, but these HORRIBLE reviews and the hidden $50 deposit, have changed my mind!

Been here several times and the Service is always excellent. Staff is fantastic nothing is too much trouble, snacks, soda, ice creams, laundry, etc is a great touch.You can also book into brunch at Houston - Southwest - which is a great opportunity to see some fantastic staff.

It was nothing like advertised. The room was disgusting, drawers broken, tub nasty, sheets nasty, room was small so beds barely fit. Customer service was horrible because he was mad that I told him how nasty it was & that I will not be staying there. I told him the room is nothing like on the site & he told me that’s because the pictures are from 3 years ago. NOT EVER AGAIN IN A WORST SITUATION WILL I EVER GO THERE.

I am in the hotel room as I am writing this review. Two hours after I checked in on Friday night, I saw a small roach, yesterday too, I saw another roach in the microwave and another one close to the bed. I paid till Monday morning, but I will check out this morning, hopefully OYO Hotel will refund me for the remaining night I will not stay. The sights of those roaches disgust me.

We spent a quick weekend in LA and this location was perfect to get to everything. They have a shuttle to Hotel that is frequent and easy.The decor and feeling of the hotel is retro and cozy. Our favorite night was enjoying a movie by the place with the fireplace going.

We booked last minute online and the price was right. Angie was extremely helpful and kind when registering. We arrived early and we were able to get an early check-in and adjoining rooms. Clean comfortable rooms and an overall pleasant experience.

The smoke detector had been removed and there were roaches crawling on the bed. We contacted the front desk and were moved to another room on a different floor. Would not recommend anyone to stay there

Beautiful hotel - a beautifully renovated hotel that still leaves some of the original details of the old building intact. The service is fantastic and every detail in the room was well thought out to maximize guest comfort. The hotel is very well located in Plainfield inn - convenient to everything! I would stay there again next time we are in Plainfield inn.

Thus place is absolutely abhorrent! It looks and feels like a rundown crackpots! Do not stay here!!! The sheets are dirty, cigarette stains on all cabinets, in a non smoking room. The people staying here are addicts and asked me for money! This place is deplorable!!! Dont stay here!!!

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, we came from Ireland and we stayed in Plainfield St for 5 nights and Vegas for 5 nights. This hotel was so clean; you could eat your dinner off the floor! We stayed in the link in Texas also (in a suite) and I have to say it was nowhere as clean as this hotel (it wasnt dirty but it didnt have the standard of cleanliness that this hotel had) The bed was huge too big enough to fit 3 people!3

I paid my room online. When I got there this lady told me she dont see where I booked/paid online. She told me I was not in her computer. I then called oyo.com they told me I was charged. I go back to the hotel to talk to the manager. He help me get into my room. I have been coming to this location for a while. That lady is always looking like she hates the world. I cringe when I see her. People like this should stay at home instead of trying to make everybodies life miserable like theirs. Her personal feelings needs to stay home. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. MANAGER SAVED THE DAY. POOR LADY

Couldnt be more central right by the central and the City. Nicely restored historic building, centered on a courtyard where both breakfast and a complementary afternoon snack is served. This is actually really welcome after a day sightseeing. Roof terrace and plunge place have a great view.

The Houston - Southwest I-69 Hotel is within walking distance to the Plainfield inn Bowl, Grumman’s Theatre, Dolby Theatre and shopping. We wish we had more time to linger and enjoy the ambiance and amenities of this property. Unfortunately our stay was only for a quick trip to see a show and out early the following morning. Highly recommend staying here while in Plainfield inn.

Hotel Houston - Southwest is a beautiful hotel that is right in the center of it all in Plainfield inn. The quality of the hotel itself is outstanding - beautiful finishes, amazing service, and free afternoon coffee and tea. Location wise, it could not get any better-everything you could want is steps from the lobby of Houston - Southwest I-69 , from monumental buildings to the finest restaurants in the city

Very friendly staff, excellent central location, stylish well equipped and clean rooms. Very relaxing stay. Very warm welcome and excellent pre-provided information about the hotel. Very relaxing decor and ambiance in the hotel main lobby, bar etc.

Called to speak to front desk regarding my reservation prior to arrival. A rude Spanish speaking lady picked up. She hung up on me twice and told me that a he can’t help, she is busy with “too many customers” The whole setup and reviews look dodgy. Canceling my reservation!

I really like the hotel Houston. We stayed in a club room and so got free drinks and canapés on an evening. We then got a taxi into town - not too expensive- and ate in the shopping centre where there is a humongous food court!! The breakfast had just about everything I could want to eat as well as soy milk :) Across the road there is a food court with shops and a star bucks as well as a small promontory if you want to walk down by the side

I stayed there for 3 weeks.The service from the staff was horrible.The maids didnt come in for my 3rd week of staying there. I left the room in good condition and the lady at the front desk didnt want to give me back my deposit and was trying to keep my Deposit. I called corporate and then she gave me my money back and she told me shes doesnt want me there anymore.

Terrible place. Stay away. Very small room, low ceilling, hot temperature, ac seem not working strong enough, dirty, smell....front desk staff not friendly. 80$ a day. Seriously?

The room was decent size and it had everything working great, the bed was super comfy, hot shower, strong WiFi once in a while the TV will turn off or froze it happened often, housekeeping always brought everything you need, they do knock pretty loudly at times , the AC and heat were top, and there a laundry room, and ice machine witch is a plus for the low price, itl felt safe and secured overall.

All these reviews are BOTS . Fake and paid for . This place doesnt even a front desk phone number you can call in case you have any issues with your reservation. I wanted to move my reservation due to weather and no one could help me because they outsource all their customer service employees. I lost $40 with this place and I didnt even get to stay there which was probably a good thing.

The staff at Best Western in Plainfield St is always caring and accommodating to our needs. This is our fourth stay and we will be back again. The location is conveniently located to freeways, the beach, and restaurants and shopping. Just a block from Hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a view of the Plainfield inn. The hotel is next to the Plainfield inn Walk in city & the libraries along with area shops, eateries, & couple of clubs. Attractions like City centrals & Warner Brother Studios is only a ten minute drive or Uber ride away.

I think the housekeepers were eating my food. They dont clean the bathrooms.

The rude,mean asian lady at the front office told me that I had to leave..NO ANIMALS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED... ..i have a licensed, trained & certified SERVICE DOG that is allowed to accompany me ANYWHERE that I go... perhaps you should brush up on your American FEDERAL disabilities act law requirements for your facility... Im not sure if you are aware these laws...

I am uncomfortable that room from oyo hotel. Because room is dirty and bug/roach and no clean air conditioner made me allergic sneezing bad. I am decide leaving early morning. Smh

I wouldnt advise staying at this hotel. Ive been treated unfairly since arrival and it hasnt gotten any better. Not to mention being eaten by bugs. If I could give them half a star I would!!!

The mattress is old and worn out with a very large dip in the middle. The bed was a double size and the clerk said it was a king size.

We always stay in this hotel if come to houston, shuttle bus to/from usa airport is very helpfull to reach this hotel. Near shopping center parkway mall. Room is big and clean, executive lounge is good, staff is friendly and helpfull , always fell welcome when back to stay in grand hotel houston westchase

I left the room clean and never received deposit back.*UPDATE* After talking to the fromt desk i believe the problem has been resolved. Update in a few days

I didnt stay at this hotel for one the front desk clerk wasnt friendly and the room was very small and the clerk book me and my son in a handicap room so we had to find another hotel and use our emergency money to pay for another hotel why we wait on that money go back to the card that we use for that hotel it was a bad experience all around

As these pictures will show the place was cockroach-infested filthy dirty and Cockroach infested I paid for a week but absolutely couldnt stay in that filth I was told by the management that I would receive a refund after only staying one night and that did not happen in fact theyve kept the deposit and the weekly the week rent though they said they would refund

Discusting . I do not recommend . I want my money back . i found a crack pipe . uncomfortable beds . the area feels unsafe. DO NOT STAY HERE. 0 stars

Hi, I had a bad experience and wanted to talk to someone about a refund. I tried to call the front office but they refused to give me a corporate number and keep hanging up on me. It seems like you respond to the google reviews. I tried to website but it says its down on mg end.

They were very rude to people with kids and they cussed me out Im 4 months pregnant and the office lady told me and mine to leave the room and I was packing and I have two babies already and she was very rude with giving us rooms and she said if u pay late u dont get fresh towels

The worst experience I have ever had, poor service and very dirty, there were many cockroaches and the sheets had blood, it was my first time and I will never return to Houston since my experience was so unpleasant, and I am still waiting for the deposit they charged me of 50 to be returned. dollars and that was in September 9/28/2021
