Fast forward to Springbreak last week, went in, enjoyed myself and heard some great music...Johnny on the shelf made me smile.🤗A few games on the screen and being played at the tables were the highlight. Hookah is expensive, $45 /$20 refill. Moderately young crowd with a sprinkle of seasoning. Made 2 requests of the DJ, of which he never played. And every good lounge/ bar should have Johnny Walker Black on the shelf. But, I was invited, so its not the place for me.
Not a native to the area but stopped here to vibe out after work. Definitely a nice place! Drink, food and dj were on point! Definitely stop here. Lemmon pepper wings crispy are fire!!!!!!
Cru is definitely a vibe and I will be back to kick it with my girls and have some drinks. I will say Hookah is crazy high $40 for reg and $60 for premium I guess. The regular one I had to suck my life in just to get a lil 💨 💨. Sooooo Id skip the hookah. Drinks were very good and strong. The staff is really friendly. Overall I like it
I had a time!!! Janí made sure we were taken care of, our hostess was sweet and on point, and OMG,I fell in love with the dj! Cru Houston definitely set the standard for a vibe!
Jani’ was awesome she was our server, bar tender, our everything! Made it fun, played great music, changed our TV to our program of choice. Food was good, super crispy and they got good happy hour deals ($2 margaritas).
I actually enjoyed myself here. For me, its more of a chill vibe, not necessarily a party vibe. The drinks were on point, but a little pricey. The food was decent. I am on the fence about the electronic hookah. Its set up on a timer, so just know they know how to get that money outta you, lol. The hookah definitely wont last your entire visit, so youre going to need that $15 refill on top of an already pricey hookah. I kinda hate thats the club culture now, but its to be expected. Keep in mind there is a minimum spend to be in a section even though it wasnt hard to reach due to the prices. Overall, I had a great time the Dj was cool. My waitress was very attentive. She kept checking on us. The vibes were there, just have to be willing to spend some money. Im not sure if Id go back just being honest. Pretty far from me and theyre similar places that are closer and less expensive. Respectfully.
Great atmosphere, great place to catch a vibe! I was visiting from the Carolinas, celebrating my wife bday! We enjoyed the hospitality and music!
My group and I were very disappointed with this establishment. We were celebrating a friends birthday. We bought a bottle, two hookahs as well as food, totaling over $500. We were kicked out according to security because the birthday girl “fell out” which didn’t not occur, she tripped over a friends foot and they deemed her unable to remain in the facility. I find this extremely unacceptable, especially when there were patrons smoking marijuana in the establishment. We asked to speak with a manager, and was told by security we could not. We left without reaching a resolution. Our waitress, can’t remember her name, however was great. unfortunate we spent so much money to get kicked out
This place is very small and split in sections. My server was Sammie, and she was amazing!I got there early enough for happy hour, and the prices were decent. They have several plates available as well as appetizers. They serve electric hookahs which is nice since you dont have to worry about the coals. Its definitely a fun little spot where you can feel like youre in a club without having to go downtown. It is located next to another bar but there is plenty of parking available.
Anti social if your not a regular I guess ? The nachos although they came on a paper plate..like dollar tree plates were good for a stoner munchie
During my experience, the host was nice and smiling, my waitress however was not very welcoming. She would forget things I ordered and when you look up she’s either sitting smoking hookah, talking on the phone, or chilling. Didn’t go over any drink specials, didn’t offer hookah food anything. I asked the host for hookah, purchased happy hour hookah, took about 20 mins before it came out and you have to inhale really hard just to get a little bit of smoke. I don’t recommend. During my visit me and a friend ordered happy hour hookah, 4 $5 u call it’s, and a Red Bull, this somehow came to $58 and the waitress did not offer a receipt. She was actually rude during the transaction. Had high hopes for the place but I heard not so great things decided to try myself and now I totally agree
Horrible experience . Was overcharged for Happy Hour Drinks that was given by Waiter. Then after they adjusted some of the charges they charged a 32% gratuity instead of 18% that was on the receipt. We only had 4 people. The fish and wings were overcooked. The manager was rude and didnt care about cheating customers. I will never go back.
Absolutely not, the downtown location was cool but they must have thrown this together. I ordered wings that were $15 and was charged $19 for 7 wings, fine but then the wings were burnt as hell. They also had no flavor for me to have mixed two flavors and it still taste like nothing. I ordered a drink too but it was never put in ig.
I’m enjoying this new spot. It’s convenient for me on the Weekends. Jani, always treats me well at the bar and makes sure I’m not waiting too long. I was disappointed she wasn’t there last Saturday, but hopefully that was just a one-off. All Nawf Siders need to come through and check it out, seriously!
All the Crus are dope, but this location has a great atmosphere! My server Taaty was great, love a digital hookah, and the food was good! One of the owners is from Detroit, make sure you stop in and say what up doe! I definitely will be back!!
I like the brand Cru, been to several different locations throughout the country. The wings are crispy and the fries are seasoned.Their business model around charging customers is horrible. They treat you like you’re going to walk out on your tab, maybe market your business to paying customer that have integrity. If you’re paying cash, there will be a 18% gratuity after EVERY drink you order. The waitress was sure to let me know that gratuity is split up and her tip is separate, thanks for the reminder, how polite of you ma’am.If you pay with a card, Cru will put an authorization hold for whatever your balance is 3-4days post visit, no bueno.I understand drinks being pricey downtown in any city, but there is no reason for $17-$20 drinks off Jones rd.
Cool vibe definitely would recommend coming in to try it out.
Just realized this is around the corner from me, the DJ was fireeee 🔥 food was good and bartender/staff was friendly and service was A1!!
Happy Hour drinks were on point.
