I have been there for almost 2 years.Greatest nail salon in Katy/Houston area. I have been to many nail salons and no one can do design like Emma!!! Highly recommended. Emma is really great with nails design she can do whatever pictures or designs you show her. Lien is the best for pedicure too! Cherry 🍒 is great for waxing. Recommend you all to try those three out!
This has been my usual nail shop for 2 1/2 years, I just had my second baby and I wanted a pick me up but they have gone down hill in service since the last time I’ve been. I wanted a short black French set.. however my thumb nail is missing acrylic I don’t even want to show my pedicure because the shaping is terrible, not once did she ask how I wanted my toenails shaped she just proceededTo shape them. Now I tried to speak up and they just acted like they didn’t want to understand me so I just let them do what they wanted. My finger nail shape is beautiful and the techs accommodated the nude color I wanted, however my toe nails are nothing like I wanted the French tip on my nails is basically a straight line….. when I asked for the same French that is on my fingers. I paid 132$ (with tip) for this and I feel like it was subpar at best. I felt rushed even when I came in at a slow time on a Sunday. I’m disappointed because I love coming here and I hadn’t been back for 6 months.
What an awesome experience. I had! Water did an excellent job on my nails. I love them so much! And I really appreciate that Tracy took her time with my pedicure and a really good massage! If I could I would give them 10 starsX10!!
So I have NEVER left a bad review. As usually everything is family owned BUT this was a really bad experience. My friend and I went to go get our nails done. We did the same exact thing and for some reason they charged us 2 different amounts and over charged us.We tried to let them know, we thought they made a mistake but they continued to make excuses and not willing to refund the money. I also agree with the last review not only was the nail job bad. The lady that did my nails kept coughing in my face with no mask on. I don’t recommend at all. This picture is about 1 1/2 old but you can see the quality of the work.
I’m a regular here and never had issues, but unfortunately these past two times that I’ve came I’ve been knicked while getting my nails filed or taken off. Usually they soak off my nails but today they were ripped off and caused this bleeding on my index finger.. as you can see on my after photos my nail still continues to bleed under the new acrylic that was put on today. I really liked coming here because the work and price is good but unfortunately just haven’t had a good experience these past two times. You come here to relax and get a new fresh set of nails… not bleeding nails beds and cuticles
I do not recommend.. to say this is suppose to be an upscale nail salon my nails was poorly done each time I went back for them to fix my nails. Nails was lifting chipping off and cracking in the middle. I went back allowing someone else to do them thinking it would help but no same problem. I spent over $100 and did not enjoy the set at all. The pedicure was fine although I had to ask the tech not to be so rough with handling of my feet’s. Will not be returning.
I went there Friday to get my real nails done & get a pedicure. Hoa did my toes and she was very nice & professional. However, Tiffany did my nails and she was very rude, she kept coughing in my face without a mask on (mind you COVID-19) numbers are going back up. She argued with me on the color I wanted on my nails, she clearly doesn’t know the difference between navy blue and turquoise. After going back and forth telling her I didn’t want navy blue but turquoise she begrudgingly found the color I wanted.When I asked her about a design I wanted she rudely kept saying “WHAT??” as if she didn’t understand or hear what I was trying to say then answered something totally opposite of my question. I finally checked her and asked her if she has an attitude and if I needed to get someone else who was not rude & disrespectful like her and who knows how to be professional and treat their clients with respect. At that point she behaved like she should have from the initial contact with me, but it was the end of the service.When I asked Hoa how to pronounce her name, Tiffany made jokes that her name meant vagina or Women’s flower in Vietnam and kept laughing then started speaking in Vietnamese. I would never recommend Tiffany to anyone who goes to Vuvuleza. The location is nice but Tiffany is rude, nasty, sarcastic and unprofessional.My nails are cute but I would not recommend Tiffany to anyone for any service she needs to be fired or given customer service training she brings down the value of the salon. I would say if you go to this salon choose another mail tech not Tiffany. Hoa was very nice but spoke limited English, she did a very good job though and was pleasant.
Visited this clean, beautiful salon a few times now and I like how they have a “happy hour” discount special during the day. I wanted to like this place, but my last visit really turned me off. I can understand getting nicked by the electric file occasionally, but the skin around my toenails were nicked multiple times in several different places — I would’ve appreciated if the techs were more careful. Unfortunately, my shellac manicure came out looking thick and gummy, and I was severely disappointed to see the sides lifting/peeling only 2 days later. On top of that, my pedicure tech attempted to give me a callous scrub without mentioning that it would cost extra. Luckily, the lady doing my manicure brought it up before we got started, but it really rubbed me the wrong way that her coworker would attempt something so shady.It’s a shame because I really wanted to like this place, but there are several salons in the area I could try — hopefully with gentler and more honest employees.
WOW, Mrs. Holly is amazing. She takes her time and doesn’t make you feel rushed. She is very gentle with the tools when clipping and trimming cuticles. Really made me so comfortable without having to ask. Also a flawless pedicure!! Highly recommend Holly !!!
The salon is very clean and I liked the atmosphere!Great experiences with nails. Angel was great and so was camie for my mother in law.The pedicures this place gives are fantastic! The pedicures are so relaxing and luxurious.Mimi is great with eyelash extensions. They dont have reviews on lash extensions enough on here. She was did such a good job! I found my new lasher!Ill definitely be returning!
I went in on Sunday at 12 to get a full set -color powder , either a French tip or nail art . Which I had called before and asked what the price was and if they were capable of doing these designs & she ensured me that they could and that they both started at & $45 . I went in so excited and confident that they were going to fulfill one of the designs I had chose but that was not the case . For starters1. I gave the nail tech the option of both designs to give him the chance to do the one he was most confident in and he chose the Nail art design,2. He didn’t do the shape I had asked for , I wanted them just like the photo , just a shorter length.3. After starting the design on one hand I was hesitant but he insisted I let him finish bc it would look better in the end .4. I gave him the benefit of the doubt , but the photos online are deceiving, if not every nail tech is capable of certain designs and trends I totally understand but that should be discussed with the customer and wether they’d like to wait for a tech that can .Over all for the full set I paid $70 & of that the design was $25 which I don’t think was worth it and I couldn’t even discuss it bc the cashier was on the phone while checking me out and I didn’t even get a receipt. I was so let down after seeing all their potential but it was not what I received , because I would have mind at all to pay the $70 if I received what I asked for . But that wasn’t the case .Unless you have a recommended tech , I wouldn’t ask for any upgraded nail services

They are very patient and listen to what the customer wants. I know I am a very particular person and I probably annoy them lol, but they always do a great job to make sure I am pleased before I leave.
Most of my experiences have been wonderful here. I generally do a mani and pedi. That being said when I choose what Id like for my manicure they only paint my nails no hand/arm massage, regardless of package you chose. Same with pedicure packages and I don’t get what all is included in package. Also with drinks, I have only ever been offered a drink of any kind one time on there. Also my first time ever coming I requested an appointment online and got verification, something told me to call and check and thank god I did because apparently there was nothing showing in system. I do like coming but there is room for improvement I feel.
The service here is nice and very helpful. I was seated immediately. My only problem is the prices. And they aren’t listed, you have to ask for them. It’s $55 for lashes, a pedicure was $38, then a charge of $18 for shellac (not even sure what that is), $10 for eyebrows, and $90 for the nails you see below. I would recommend going to another place for some of these items and there was not any special additional quality added. The place was clean and the music was nice and they offer you water.
I went to them to get a fill and toe nail polish change and it was 90$First of all she said my refill was 65$ for what? These business are ridiculous and this made no sensesThe place I went to prior to did a new set and toe nail polish change for 65$. How is a refill and polish change more.. This is crazy
I love Donna and Helen. Donna did my did powder over my real nails. She cut my cuticles and took her time to make sure everything was to my liking. Helen has done my full sets when I come in. She is very attentive and give you exactly what you ask for. I do not remember the lady name that did my feet but it looks amazing. It has been two weeks since my feet was done and they still look perfect! I love the environment here and they make sure you are comfortable. My go to nail shop!
Love this place! First time going with my mom and Ms.Thuy (Jeni) was so sweet, caring and very patient with my mom. She went above and beyond for her and also made sure I was there with my mom through it all. The receptionist is also so sweet and very friendly, I don’t know his name but, he is so nice and presentable. This salon is just very nice and elegant and relaxing 😊 will come again and definitely recommend 👍
3hr & 45min, 3 nail technicians (still couldn’t get shape correct), $105, cuts and missed polished/over polished everywhere, no apologies or discounts. Very disappointed with staff and work. Emily (manager) said I’d have an appointment, but apparently Be Be was next in line and struggled to get the shape, finally Katie comes in to help finish. My experience overall was underwhelming at best. I guess it’s back to 35min drive to the Galleria area.

Moved to the West side last October and was struggling to find a new nail salon. Thankfully found Vuvuzela on my way to work and have been there many of times now. The staff is super friendly, they are so accommodating to schedules and prices are fair for the wonderful work that they do. I felt so pampered this last time that I went to get a pedicure and Kevin did an amazing job! Their salon is exceptionally clean!
If I could, I will give this place zero stars they are horrible. They cut me on top of that. The service was horrible. My experience was horrible. I will never go back to that place. I don’t recommend no one going back to that place and when I try to call to talk to the manager, they kept denying my car.
My daughter (teen) went to get her nails done. picture attached along with receipt. Ive never paid soo much for nails- not even when she had her quinceanera nails that had more designs and jewels on each finger. When I called, the lady indicated that the long nail charge is for nails longer than 1/2 an inch...well, none of that was related to my daughter. I guess there needs to be a ruler in hand to measure the length of the nails you want. Then she indicated that since my daughter got the coffin shaped they charge as well...ummm would have been nice if they would have advise that before getting a length and a shape. She then went on to explain that each finger cost from $5 to $7 to design...well, only 4 fingers were designed... not 10! this is unacceptable! THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A TEEN GIRL AND HER HARD EARNED MONEY! because yes, my kids work for extra things like these. The lady I spoke to also told me that all the prices are in their menu of services. Well, they also need to include a ruler to measure the nails and perhaps tell people how much it will cost to get each nail designed. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN! NEITHER SHOULD YOU! MAKE SURE THEYRE CHARGING YOU CORRECTLY AND MAKE SURE TO TAKE A RULER TO MEASURE THE LENGHT OF YOUR NAIL. Tell me, by looking at the pictures attached if that work was worth $104.00
I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve always had great service. Yesterday I came for a pedicure and Kevin gave me the absolute WORST pedicure I’ve ever had in my life. He was rushing me the entire time and working way too fast. He spent an HOUR attempting to remove (what he said were) ingrown toes-nails on the sides of my toes (I’ve never ever had an issue with ingrowns before). He cut my cuticles so much that they looked raw. 4/10 toes bled at some point and he messed up my big toe so much that it was bleeding for 30mins (no exaggeration). He kept wiping my toe but eventually gave up and just let it bleed, but continued to paint my toes. I told the lady at the front desk and all she did was say “sit for a second until it stops bleeding.” And wiped it a little. I paid $65 for this pedicure and wasn’t offered any type of compensation for his terrible work and the constant bleeding. Terrible customer service and I won’t be back, which is sad because most of the other nail techs do a great job. He did awful and needs to go back to training!!
I love this nail salon! Ever since I moved to Katy last year in March I’ve been trying to find a good naim salon because I am very picky with how I like my nails & this is the best one i have found! My nails always last about 3-4 weeks & never fall unless I take them off. I always go to Helen she always does my nails how I like them & makes sure they are the way I want them to be! Totally recommend her but all the nail tech ladies are so nice & they have excellent service!

I came to the nail shop Jan 6th to get a powder full set. I requested a short matte coffin shape. They charged me an extra $5 for the length I didn’t want and $5 for a matte top coat. I have NEVER been charged for a matte top coat. The guy who did my nails told me I couldn’t do a short coffin. Mind you, I have gotten short coffin nails before. He proceeds to make them longer. Within 2 days my nails are cracking across my nail bed and the thumb nail broke. I go back Jan 9th, to get them fixed. Two days later my nails did the same thing. Today my nail broke and tore my nail bed. He did them too thin.I told him this when I got them fixed and he by passed it. It is imperative to have competent nail techs. It’s not fair to customers who pay full price for services and get sub-par work.
I love this place, though their prices are outrageous. Also watch out for Frank tallying your bill, he is a thief! He has been charging me $10 for long nails (I DON’T DO LONG NAILS) each service for a few months until one day he acted suspicious so I looked at my receipt and everyone after and bought it to his attention. He rectified the situation but for that I now get my total from my tech before services are rendered. My tech gets five stars but the establishment gets a two.
I got my nails done about a week ago. I got acrylics short because of my job. They charged me 5$ extra for cuticle and 5$ extra for black French tips. It’s been about a week now and they are starting to lift and fall off at work. I work a corporate job I don’t get my hands wet as often so I don’t understand why they are falling off already.. And for my pedicure I asked for black french tip and they said it would be an extra 5$ for black French tips. I paid 106$ for the lack of quality.
I went to this shop about a month ago and I originally came in for a manicure (should’ve stayed with my first mind)...I’m new to the area and normally go Venetian Nails but the lady I was going to recently had a baby so she’s going to be out for a while. In my search for a back up nail tech I see this shop. Walk in...greeted with a smile instantly...tell them I want a manicure. Cool. Was seated with no problem. I see they were kind of empty so I showed them a picture of a natural curve coffin shaped nail and asked if anyone could do this? I even stated...”if not...it’s not a problem will still get my manicure.” The guy said “I’m the general manager...I can do it for you no problem.” Proceed to do my nails and as he’s putting the Acrylic on i notice it’s not right ( I get this all the time) so I sat there. Just watched. Didn’t say a word bcuz I felt myself getting mad. About 30 min later he’s finishing up and taking pictures and saying how pretty they look but I’m looking at him like “this is not what I asked for “ he asked do I like them” and I said “no” he said “but why not?” And I replied “bcuz I asked for a natural curve nail and coffin shape...my nails are flat as the wall.” He wanted to add more acrylic but I was like no. I’ll just pay and get out of here. Not even a week later my nails started to lift and breaking off...I was beyond mad but didn’t make sense to go back up there because it would’ve been a wast of time. I will not go back. Simply because I feel you know that you cannot provide a requested style a simple no would suffice.
Clean! Free drinks which was a shocker for me. Definitely higher priced. Paid $45 to get my piggies done in gel....Service was friendly and they used clean tools.UPDATE:Went here 4 times. Got a worse experience overtime. I was there for 3 hours getting gel (pictured) on natural nail with cherries painted on…NOT OKAY.The last time the dip chipped in 5 days and the art I asked for is not what I got. I was honestly embarrassed by my nails.Will not be returning. Back to square one 🙁
Update: will NOT return. The fact that there were 6+ people sitting around and not one person wanted to service me is extremely hurtful. 1st person that the lady told to do my refill said no. The next lady seemed annoyed/upset, didn’t acknowledge me and just got on her phone. So I left. This is a place my daughter and I come to frequently. I just needed a refill for a business meeting.Absolutely amazing. I’ve never felt this relaxed at any other nail shop. They didn’t rush and paid attention to the little details and insured I was comfortable.The gentleman up front silently checked on everyone. When the sun started shining he even lowered the blinds without having to say or gesture anything.This is my go to place when needing quality RR.
Made an appt for gel mani and pedi. Pedi was fine but tech that did my mani was obviously rushing. Left my skin with some paint. Also i noticed he did not remove the oils nor asked me to wash my hands before applying the gel layers. Long story short you can see the outcome on the picture. Looks spotty and not neat at all. Not coming back 65 bucks before tip for this...
If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. My nail tech was extremely RUDE and did a very rushed job on my pedicure. I can’t count the amount of time she scratched/cut my toes. Very mediocre. $50 wasted. Save your money & go some place else.
I dont know how to feel about this place. I called and explained the service that I wanted, when I showed up the lady was doing something completely different. I couldnt tell at first because they dont really explain their services so I just sat down and let them start. All of a sudden there seemed to be a problem, whereas I was not mad or frustrated in the slightest. Perhaps a little upset that it was so difficult to get something so simple done. The assistant manager came over and apologized for a problem I was not aware of; I still dont know why she came and apologize to me. (There was a sense of alarm or urgency that made no sense to me as I was relaxing already two mimosas in) They ended up doing the service I asked for, and it was executed correctly, and looks nice. However the whole time I felt like I was being checked on and looked over when I had no issue. I came in there with money to play with, intention on leaving a favorable tip- which I still did.Post Covid Ive been to salons that have coverings on every pedicure tub, and all the equipment is prepacked akin to dentist equipment. Nothing used on me was cleaned beforehand or after. Not to mention the customer service is poor. $87 for acrylic power (wasnt asked for but told me I needed it in order to get shellac) and eyebrows, Ive gotten far better for easily $70 at most and the quality still higher I Do Not Recommend.
Cammie and Cindy have great customer service each and every time I go there, they treat me so nice and Cammie does a great job on my nails and Cindy does a great job on my feet keep up the great work ladies. Emily has great customer service each time I’m there thank you for great service
Ive been coming here regularly for my pedicure the last few months. Every time the ladies do a great job. I love that they have different kinds of pedicures so my feet get exactly what they need!
My nails look amazing, but both times I have been here they have drawn blood, once on my toe and yesterday on my fingernail. The chairs are comfy and the atmosphere is upbeat, but I dont give third chances when you cut me, so I wont be back. I’ve been going to this salon for a few months. I’m very picky about how my nails are done and the nail techs I’ve been paired with have been accommodating. For my nails (acrylics) I love Cammie, Don, Ivy, and Mimi’s work. For my pedicure I love Holly, Cindy, and Pattra’s work. I had my first bad experience with a new tech today and the manager Vincent turned things around for the better. I always get compliments on my nails and I’d recommend this place to anyone!
Overall I was disappointed in my choice and will not be returning to this salon.I would not recommend.I had wanted to try this smaller nail salon out for a little while now, I was in the area and decided to stop in. I think it’s worth mentioning that I had stopped in once before and left because I felt a little awkward.I came in for a pedicure and a basic manicure (so just polish) - and was sat in a chair with no communication. The chair was not working, so I had to go back up - from the back of the salon - to let them know I needed a new chair, which they accommodated immediately. I then had to ask how I was supposed to choose my polish. To which I was handed a binder full of nails to choose polish color. This is an interesting concept. But they should communicate the experience because it left me confused and I felt like a forgotten customer. I tried to ask questions to redeem my customer experience: “I want this color for my toes, what should I choose for my nails?” No help was given.I got basic services and received basic service. The nail polish did not last because they add remover to the polish to make it last longer for them - but thins out the polish for the customer and the polish won’t last.Disappointed. Not friendly. Won’t be coming back.
I have been a regular customer since this location has opened. I am not one to leave bad reviews, but this situation has pushed me to do so. I went in first week of Novemeber for a full set, with shellac and two designs. The tech working on my nails was not experianced but SUPER polite. I sent a message to the business, I sent pictures to the business, with a explanation of how bad my nails were. Photos speak for themselves. The nails were on TOP of my cuticles, gel coming off the nails on the sides, dips in almost every nail, bubbles and all. Just a bad job. The designs were horrible and didnt match one another. I was charged for the design, and extra fee for the shape. I legit got short nails, asked for round tip..he gave me a pointy round tip. They responded, and advised I can come in to get a new set, free of charge. Due to my schedule, I was not able to make it in on time the next week I advised I would come in. I messaged the busniess and they just told me no problem. Come in any day and time. Just let us know. I called to come in day before Thanksgiving. The lady that answered advised they were super busy but she will try to squeeze me in. She called back 45 mins later and said I can come in 30 mins. I asked if she preferred I come in another day since they are busy, and she advised it would work better. I called today, to ask if I can come in. The gentleman that answered the phone, said I can come in but Ill only get a 30% discount. Kept cutting me off talking nonsense as I tried to explain. I paid $70+ for a full set, that literally lifted and came off within 3 to 4 days of getting them they told me to come in when ever, now you want to just give me 30% off. No thank you. You can keep my money, but you will never see me in your nail salon again. This is not how you treat a loyal, returning customer. Nor how you run a honest business. I have added the photos as pictures since I couldnt attach them to the review.
By far the worst experience I’ve ever had. My daughter got her feet and nails polished. She could have honestly done it herself with the results she received. The tech cut all of her natural long pretty nails off without asking first. The job was rushed. Polish was lumpy, it was just ugly. For myself the nail tech was constantly checking his phone while doing my nails which explains my results. He also kept flinging my hand ! I asked for powder with a tip, my nails are not the same length or color for that matter, the powder is all on the sides of my fingers, it’s day two and two of the nails are already lifting. The polished used on my toes had to be very cheap or watered down. I always get white & never had a problem with coverage but for some odd reason the polish used by them caused the coat to be thicker in some places and way thinner in the other places. After trying to fix it not once but twice the owner decided first it was due to them not being dried for a full hour & then she blames it on my nail being curved which is ridiculous!! Anything to . redirect the issue from themselves onto me! I will not be back, extremely disappointed! If I could give a zero I would. First & last time going here.
I recently moved to the Katy, TX area and decided to try them out. Katie did my nails and I must say, she did an excellent job. She did my nails with ease, took her time, and listened to how I exactly wanted them done. She was very professional and very friendly. My nails lasted for 3 weeks. I would recommend anyone to go to this salon. It was a great experience and I will be going there moving forward.
First of all this place is so pretty inside and it smelled so nice. Went first thing this morning and my appointment was right on time. Had to soak nails off and it was done without hurting me. Yay! Cammie listened to what I wanted and my nails look so good. I was brought water without asking. Overall great experience!!
The atmosphere is uncomfortable, this particular nail tech was very rude and aggressive her name is Helen! She was rough doing just refills I can only imagine a fullset never going back not a good experience at all.
I came here for the first time for Mothers Day with my husband and 2 year old for a pedicure and we all had a wonderful experience! The general manager was very friendly and accommodating, the staff was very nice and patient and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Lien did mine and my 2 year daughters nails and was very patient and care to her and made her feel so special. They did a wonderful job! We will definitely be coming back again!
First time there. No appointment made just a walk in. Was attended to right away. Got my full set done by Andy. At first he was kinda somewhat demanding...but as I talked to him more I noticed he is very nice..he had his opinion on how to design the nails and I was opened to it...he did an amazing job. I am definitely going back. Oh and the pedicure was really good.Thank you Andy!
My husband and I went in for a manicure and pedicure for him and full set and pedicure for myself. From the moment we walked in we were treated exceptionally well. We were seated immediately and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Our services were done timely and professionally. We are new to the area and will definitely be back!
I LOVE this place! The salon is nice and clean. The staff are friendly and professional. I got the Heavenly pedicure and a full set. The pedicure was AMAZING and came with all the bells and whistles. My full set was just as great. My nail tech worked hard to get my nails the way that I asked and they came out beautiful! I was also served a mimosa and given a gift for my bday. I will definitely be returning to this place! My nail techs were Vincent and Cindy.
What a relaxing experience!! This spa surpassed all my expectations(i was rather careful considering the pandemic). The greeting was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, clean and inviting. What complimented my visit was meeting the talented Bebe & Julie! Julie did an amazing job with my gel pedicure and I was very pleased at how detailed and attentive Bebe was with my dip powder manicure. I definitely recommend this place, call for an appointment with my new nail techs!
Got dip powder and the finished product looked like I attempted to do it myself… for the first time. Color also didn’t last more than a few days. Not sure what they did here but I am going back to my usual nail salon. I am willing to drive 40 mins to get my nails done well rather than suffer through this again.
From the moment, I stepped into this beautiful establishment, I was treated like royalty. I love how they have that check-in pedestal. Love 💕 the decor and love how each service representatives will listen to what you want. I highly recommend (personally) option 3 for the pedicures. You might spend more but it’s money well spent. There were a couple times when someone else did my mani and pedi, but I always leave there satisfied.Im convinced all the nail techs in there know what they are doing. The front desk attendants are always sweet.Definitely highly recommend this nail salon & its right next to Starbucks!
I’ve come here multiple times over the years because the inside is nice, but the last experience I had was awful enough for me to write a review. Got an acrylic set on my hands and a pedicure with acrylic on my big toes Bc they had broken in the past and were short. The lady who sat down to do my toes heard I wanted acrylic and said she didn’t have the experience to do it so then passed me off to someone else. The next lady doing my toes was also inexperienced. She made them super super thick with powder acrylic so that they looked bubbly/round. I asked for a simple square shape and they were both not square at all and crooked. I told her multiple times very nicely that I wanted square and she got more and more angry with me. At one point she said that I told her too late bc she had started putting polish on and I should’ve told her before. I finally gave up on it and let her do what she wanted. When she finished and moved on to someone else the lady doing my hands looked down at my toes and saw how awful they looked, with the 2 big toes crooked and completely different looking than each other. So she called over the guy working at the front desk to look, and he said he would fix them for me. He too saw how bad they were. He even took a photo with his phone! (Idk what for). He did the best he could with what the other lady did to fix them. The lady doing my hands was super nice but also inexperienced. When she glued the nails on they were crooked and some of the acrylic was much thicker on some nails than others. She told me that I should get shellac polish bc it’s the same price as the regular polish. I asked her 3 or 4 times bc ive never seen that before. Shellac always costs a little more. When I went to pay, the guy working the desk charged me extra for the shellac even though I explained what the lady had told me. He went to go ask her and she admitted to telling me the wrong thing, but he still refused to take off for the shellac and made me pay for something I didn’t want in the first place. They were also doing a promotion of 20% off which he also didn’t honor. In the end he said he would give me $10 off next time but then never gave me a coupon or anything, so he has no intention of giving me $10 off next time, not that I would go back. For the expensive prices they charge, they should not have inexperienced people working and they have dishonest business practices.They always try to upsell you and make you feel cheap when you don’t want to get the more expensive services. The lady got angry with me when she couldn’t do her job. The man at the desk took a picture of me without asking and then didn’t believe me when I said what the other lady had told me about the shellac, and then didn’t honor his prices.
Holly did a great job with my pedicure she was not rushing, she understood what I wanted and she wasnt rough with my feet. Dana also did a great job with my manicure however she was a little rough with the drill. But after I express that I was in a little bit of pain she did accommodate to it. Then she kept asking me if it was okay which I appreciated. She did a great design and she did great overall it was just the bleeding that happened is the reason why Im giving this 3 stars.
The place was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Ashley did my nails, white tips, she did great. Kevin did a polish change on my toes and he was great. I cant remember who did my eyebrows I didnt catch the name, but she did ok. I have really thick eyebrows so a lot of people have some trouble with them. All in all I had a great experience!!! I will be coming back and there right by my house.
I really do want to like this place, the first time I came here I got a mani and pedi. And the guy said he ran out of time for the pedicure because he said was going to close. So I got the highest package and he told me to come redeem the rest of the pedicure later. Which was a little funny. Because they should’ve just charged me for a basic one then. 😅😅The second time I came here this week, and they sold me powder nails, and I told the lady to cut my cuticles. She told me she’d cut them after she finished my nails, so I said okay. Haha soooo, now my nails look super over grown and I just got them done.Hmmm, nice people but bad results.
Way overpriced. My nails are super short and they are still charging over 60 dollars. Plain. No design just yellow tips. On top of that, they were supposed to be running a summer discount of 20% off. That means I was supposed to pay 49 bucks today. I ended up paying 54 because they didnt do the full discount. Fraudulent price practices. Will be going elsewhere for these simple nails.
Service was okay. My problem is the prices, they are not listed. I’m noticing this is happening more & more in nail shops. They are just making up different prices all the time. It seems like everytime I go to the nail shop my total goes up $20 for the past year. I paid $33 for shellac on the natural nails. That’s it only shellac. This would normally be $15-20. I hope they know if they continue to increase prices the customer service needs to increase as well. Treat customers better, listen the customer, take accountability when something is wrong. And have better polices if your nail messes up are falls off in 2-3 days. Don’t tell the customer you won’t fix it or give any discount. Those are just some things to take in consideration when constantly increasing prices!
Best nail salon I’ve been to in Houston! The staff are all courteous, and I’ve seen them be patient with customers that changed their mind on colors after the fact. They do everything you can think of! They even repaired my nail and were extremely accommodating when it was almost time to close! I’ve never scheduled my nail appointment until the day of but here I did & will continue to come here. Prices are even amazing.I LOVE THIS PLACE ❤️
Staff was nice and attentive, the shop is clean and beautifully decorated, the services were completed in a good time frame. I received services for a pedicure, manicure and waxing and made my appointment online and also called to make see if they had availability for same day services. The quality of the work done was good work being that it was my first time visit. The only drawback experience I had from the services completed was the redness on the areas that were waxed, but thats to be expected since I havent waxed in a long while. I would go back again when I can afford to spoil myself.
I got my nails done here last week. I barely come to the nail salon because I am picky and I have sensitive skin. However, last week was my third times visiting this nail salon; the staffs and especially is Vincent never disappointed me. I always asked for Vincent for my manicure. He is sweet and amazing. His performance is outstanding . I decided to leave this review because he deserved it. Highly recommended Vincent!

I been doing my nails at this place since they opened. They have great service. I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes. The salon is very clean. All the employees are very friendly and talkative. If you don’t like how a service is done they are happy to correct it. Vincent is the best with nails, but everyone else is pretty good too. Very relaxing environment especially now that they added margaritas to their services! I highly recommend this to be your next nail salon!
Vincent and Tam provided great service today! Vincent was nice and gave me a beautiful glitter powder set. He was very gentle with the drill and did a good job making sure I was satisfied with the nails. Tam did my pedicure and was super nice making sure the towels, stones and water were not too hot. This was my first experience here and I look forward to returning.
This was our first visit here after going to the same salon he last five or so years. The salon is extremely clean. Everyone was friendly and the service was very good. Sarah was happy and friendly. The pedicure and massage were wonderful. Phoenix took care of my wife and she was very good also. We will come back again!!
Watch out for the over weight nail tech she is extremely jealous of beautiful black women and was passively aggressive while servicing me. Quite rough with her chubby self. I’d rather nice nail techs who appreciate me as a customer!
Now Ill be honest I only go to Steven for my nails but thats because I stick with what I know. Overall they are all extremely great people. They never make me feel uncomfortable like other nail shops. I absolutely 💗💕 love this places and Im never unhappy with my nails!!!!! Its so beautifully set up, sanitary and well kept
Today was my first time and I believe this will be my new regular place. Pedicure was great and Tam did my full set and was very neat and precise. she double checked that is the color and shape I wanted which I appreciate. Very nice ambience.
Cammie and Helen have been amazing and very informative with what works best for my nails! I never have lifting and my shape is always flawless. And of course Emily is so friendly and has me ready to go as soon as I arrive.

This place is perfect for you to try out if you want any kinds of nail arts on your nails. It was my first time here and I was really satisfied with their jobs and services that they provided. Dana got me acrylic nails and some nail arts. And she did a great job. I will definitely revisit here!!
My sister & I loved the place & environment. We want to say thank you to Vincent for taking us in on Sunday after closing.. He does such an amazing job!! Our nails look natural... will definitely make this my to go nail salon. The staff treat you great, the place is nice and clean.. I come here to get my nails done all the time. I love this place. They are so good with service and really do their job right. I love the amount and variety of services they provide. Definitely one of the best salons Ive ever been to.
This is the shop that I would recommend all my family and friends to that would come from out of town. But that will CHANGE. This past Friday I went in to get a pedicure by Holly and it was AMAZING. 5 stars. She took her time at 6:30p. Unlike Katie who started on my nails. She was very unprofessional and rude. I wanted a dip powder and she told me it was the same as acrylic. I told her no thank you. She started to cut my cuticles and cut one too short that it started bleeding. Stay away from Katie.
I’ve been going to this nail salon since the grand opening last year and so happy with the growth of this place ! Vincent took care of my amazing Christmas theme nails today 12/14/20 and I’m so impressed I came with an idea and he made it tangible and better than what I asked. When I got there is was clean & everyone was so friendly. I actually called ahead to get an appointment and they were able to help me in less than 10 mins. Phoenix took care of my pedi and I’m walking on clouds ! They even had drinks complementary with service. If Vincent isn’t available check out Steven he is also very great with designs I hope I can post pictures
I don’t what happened to this place but this place has went to straight trash. My wife goes here and her and I are sick and tired of the over priced poor service at this place. I want my wife to go get pampered and I would expect that she does after a 300 dollar bill to get her pedi and mani done. STAY away from this place! Not only is the atmosphere trash, so are the workers, the prices and the end result of what you are left to cry with
Excellent salon! Everyone was so professional, helpful, and friendly. It was quiet/serene. It was so easy to relax and enjoy.The facility is very clean! Tub liners, all tools come from fresh packaging (nail files, cuticle trimmers, buffers, pumice stones, etc). Even the lotions and scrubs are pre-packaged.Milan and Cammie did an amazing job on my pedicure and shellac nails!I will absolutely be back :-D
Mary did my nails and Hanna did my eyebrows. I am very happy with the location, the service and the beautiful interior. I never get my eyebrows waxed but decided to try and it out and my skin was too sensitive. They apologized for how my skin reacted but I cannot say they were at fault my skin struggles with this cold weather and I should have probably known better. They took care of me from start to finish and I’ll definitely be back. I was quickly greeted, welcomed and service was prompt.Update: I got home and my boyfriend said that my eyebrows look great and he is always the first to say something. Overall I’m happy.
Katie is fantastic! She was meticulous and left my nails gorgeous and exactly how I wanted them. I didn’t have to ask her once to go back to “fix” anything. I will definitely be seeing her again for future manicures.

Wonderful place, relaxing, great service, Hana was fabulous, very sweet and did a wonderful job. I have Shrek feet and she didn’t flinch at all at the amount of skin she removed from my heals, and I walked out looking like I traded feet with Cinderella. Mimosas and frozen drinks were also yummy.We have 5 people in our party and made reservations and had chairs waiting for us when we arrived.I would go here again in a heartbeat. Prices were lower than others as well.
My family and I had a great time! My husband decided to join me and our three girls; it was his first time ever getting a manicure/pedicure! He got extra foot and lower leg massage time, (no polish!) and really enjoyed himself! We were all treated with extra care, and we enjoyed our chair massages too! Truly, it was a fun family affair!
This nail spa has won me over! After moving to Katy, I have visited various nail salons trying to replace the feeling my very distant former nail salon gave. Well I’m so glad that Vuvuzela has finally came and opened! Superior service, very nice, warm staff who aim to please. They offer a variety of services not limited to nails. I’m going to try the 24k gold facial soon and I’ll update my review. My nails are perfect and my pedicure couldn’t have been better. I particularly love the personal attention given to each guest. I treated my ex wife and daughter to a mani-pedi visit. I wanted it to be a refreshing and enjoyable experience for both of them. They certainly deserve it. I was very pleased with the welcoming and professional staff.The salon is very upscale and polished. Within moments of arrival my girls were seated with refreshments and workers immediately worked on hands and feet simultaneously. An impressive staff, an equally impressive salon. And I will certainly bring my girls back soon. The smiles on their faces say it all. The prices are reasonable, affordable and totally worth it for the manicures and pedicures they received
I thoroughly enjoyed my first time experience at this nail salon. The nail techs were super friendly and took excellent care of me. Definitely went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable after a long day at work! Lots of shellac options to choose from as well! I will definitely be coming back!
This salon was just ok. Or maybe it was my specific nail technician. I went in for a pedicure and chose the $38 hot stone massage pedicure. I felt like she was very rushed the whole time and did not pay much attention to my comfort. At several points, she removed the towel under my feet so that I was resting on the bare plastic, which I saw a piece of hair laying on. And my heels were hitting the corner of the plastic, which was very uncomfortable. The scrubbing of my feet, which I needed most, took about 10 seconds per foot. My toes look ok from my standing point of view, but if I look any closer, it looks like what I could have done at home (and I’m 6 months pregnant!). Overall, I would not return here.
I brought my neice here to get her a full set. The glue was not adhering to her nail bed and many of them fell off. We both went back to get it fixed only to be met with rude service. The technician that had done her nails insinuated it was my neice’s fault. After she fixed two nails that had fallen, we headed home. On the way, more nails had fallen off. I was really disappointed in this service. I’ve had better service here, I guess it just depends which technician you get and what service. Quality and exceptional service isn’t always consistent which is why I give it 3 stars.

I came in for the first time to this nail spa and was very frustrated with the lack of experience and unprofessional customer service. I called ahead to see if there was availability for what I wanted and had showed the picture of what I wanted to the receptionist so she could tell me if anyone would be capable of doing what I wanted when I arrived. She was unable to answer any questions for me. Then I was passed off to the person doing my pedicure and he was very confused when I said I wanted something more than a basic color. After a huge mess of having my phone passed around to everyone in the store so the picture of my design could be seen, I said I would be okay with a basic color and was told no, and that someone would help me. I was in the salon nearly 2 hours before someone was able to help me. I really was okay with a more basic version of the design, I just liked the colors and the person that finally helped me tried to listen and meet my needs. Sugar was very nice and I was very pleased with my manicure, but I feel like it shouldnt have taken 2 hours for me to find someone willing to see me. My pedicure wasnt quite what I wanted, as she smudged up the design on one toe, but after being there for so long and feeling very put off by the customer service, I was just ready to leave. She told me the smudged toe was okay when I tried to say I didnt like it, but I think she just didnt understand me. I asked up front for one thing, but wish there was a little more communication and that I would have been listened to from the start. I left after 3 hours very disappointed in the service and with a big headache.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out it was great! Vincent, Sophie, and Cammie all made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. They have a very pleasant atmosphere with so many options. I can see why the reviews are so high for them. I’ll most certainly be going back soon.
I was here a few weeks ago and got some powder acrylics and they were done great and I loved them. I came back here today to get them taken off ( I did some damage ) and the woman who did them didn’t do well. I could tell some of my acrylic was still there, then I got them painted and the shape looks like she didn’t even try, they’re slanted and the polish is sloppy and uneven. I spent $20 to come home and immediately come home and repaint and reshape my nails myself.Some employees are amazing here (that’s why its 3 stars instead of 1), but some need some reevaluating.
One of the best Nail places I’ve come across. Talk about people who know what they are doing! Sunny and Cherry are my favorite. They really listen to what you want and deliver excellent service.
It’s been 2 years I am going to this salon and every time I go there I say it will be the last time because of the poor customer service and attitude that some staff have. When they realize you don’t wanna do manicure and it’s only painting with shellac their level of care drops drastically!!!! If you chose basic pedicure they try to push you for the most expensive pedicure that they have which I have tried before but it wasn’t special!!! If they see you don’t spend over $70 they won’t care about you! I have witnessed they never offer anything even a bottle of water but if you say you want their $$$ service they will offer you water or other drinks!They have the worse brand of shellac D&C that it always gets chipped off a day after I get my nails done and when you go back to them to fix it they seem so annoyed!!! Overall very bad customer service! Never going to go back!!!!
New nail spa in my area; visited this morning and Lien did such an amazing job on my pedicure. Vicki was outstanding. I’m very picky w/ nails and she listened and did exactly like I asked. She also did a great job on my brows. I will definitely be back. They have gained a loyal client. And I also want to add...the salon is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Everyone is so hospitable and they’re very attentive to you and your needs. Vincent the manager there he’s super nice and Halsie the host is super sweet always smiling and lovely. Also, ask for Lucy, she does an amazing job! You will have a great experience and your nails will look fabulous.
First experience.The service was extremely rushed! I am not satisfied with the outcome of my full set and pedicure. I chose this place because of word of mouth and it was on the way to my next destination. I should have just gone to my usual spa where they are more personable and care if your colors match and do not act as if they do not have time to assist.

My daughter got a pedicure from Kevin and he was amazing!! She loves her toes. I made an appointment with steve to do my acrylic manicure, but he couldn’t make it today, so Angel did my nails instead. Angel was rude the entire time.

Wow!!! I came in late and needed a takeoff a manicure and full set with rhinestones ( and all that jazz.) Not only did I leave more than satisfied but they stayed after closing to meet my over the top needs and I even got departing gift!!! a wonderful bottle of lotion because my hands were very dry. The Customer service is absolutely outstanding !!!!!! Ten stars!
Newly opened nail spot I have been wanting to give a try. I’m glad I did... very nice and relaxing ambiance. The young guy at the front desk is very nice and welcoming. I only wished they served alcohol like most upscale nail salons. Hopefully they will consider in the future.Very pleased with my service and will be back in the future!
All I can say is WOW!!!! Hands down the best nail place i have been to. Amazing customer service. I really felt like royalty. they did an incredible job very precise and attentive. I highly recommend this place!! I also liked how they all worked as a team helped each other out and the manager Vicent was hands on making sure every customer was comfortable.
Such an amazing experience, Lucy has been doing my nails for years and always done an incredible job. I had the opportunity and honor today of getting my pedicure done by Phoenix and LOVED how gentle and kind she is in addition to leaving my toes looking so beautiful! I went to Vuvuzela for the first time today. It’s a very nice atmosphere and the staff is great.Lucy did my dip and she did an amazing job. She took her time and was very patientwith me because at the last minute we added chrome to my color. (AMAZING)I normally have to reshape and some kind of touch up when I get home and not this time,she got the shape perfect. This salon has upped the bar on service. Anna and Kim made me feel like a princess. My hands and feet feel 20 years younger, and look stunning! I highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be back next time Im in Houston.
Very disappointed. Went in at 4:20 and didn’t get out until almost 2 1/2 hours later. Under staffed, the lady who did my pedicure was extremely rough and didn’t even give me the pedicure I asked for yet still had to pay for. The guy who did my nails was shown a picture of what I wanted, yet still couldn’t give me what was in the picture and then after numerous times of telling him my shape, he still didn’t do it right. This was a waste of $108.
I have been waiting to try this nail salon out! Im so happy I was able to finally get my nails done here. Ashley did a wonderful job and was very attentive. Throughout the whole service she periodically checked to see if I liked how my nails were coming out. The front desk staff was also very nice and offered refreshments. Will be coming back!
Vincent is absolutely amazing!!! I just moved into the area a few months ago and went on a whim. Highly recommend his and his staffs services. Great job, perfectionists but quick which is like, all boxes checked! Trust me! You wont be dissapointed.
I went to get my nails done here for the first time, had an appointment and everything. Upon walking in, the place was full with zero social distancing protocols in place. Secondly, they took me back 30 minutes after my appointment time. I had asked the artist over and over if she could do the art I was asking for (a cloud for those curious) and she said yes she could. Come time for me to have the cloud, she couldnt draw it and actually started saying my finger is too small for any drawing designs unless its very simple and minimal. Ive gotten more complex designs on my nails than a cloud. She also refused to listen to me when I was trying to direct her in which direction to draw the cloud. So I had to scrap the design I originally wanted and settle for a minimal line design. The only reason why I even gave this place two stars is because the ombre on my nails was amazing but I will not be coming back here.
Pedicure it was amazing we got the $45 option well worth the upgrade from the regular. Eyebrow waxing was great as well. Enjoyed the day with daughter and mother . Service clean and friendly. All tools were cleaned in autoclave
I had great experience! Cammie did my nails. She was very thorough and really made sure my nails looked great. I got dipnails so the thickness is more natural and not bulky. I also got a stiletto tip. She made sure to make sure they were perfectly even. Vincent(front desk guy) was great too and helped me get a great IG shot.
I really do love this place. I have always had a relaxing pedicure to the point I doze off. This last time was disappointing. I had a fresh up on my nails (which I don’t do much for) it was my birthday so I decided to treat my self. The manicurists talked the entire time! Not relaxing at all. I wanted to snooze and enjoy the massaging chair and the warm water. But here I was listening to two people gossip and laugh and tell each stories about what ever it was. Meh.
My sister went and had them do her eyebrows, they messed her all up, and they teamed up to tell her they were fine.whish i could post pictures, but shes too upset and embarrased. Nails were done mediocre, did not clean them. My sister is not the type to post reviewsor complain but I think that when you are paying for an expensive service the service received should exceed expectations. Just be careful using this place to do your eyebrows.
Overall, excellent service. They attended to every need I had and made sure that I felt comfortable at all times. They did all this while also engaging in a conversation with me. Beautiful interior design for the salon, with soothing, relaxing music playing at all times. Almost felt like I could fall asleep on the massage chair while my nails were being done. I was also here for their grand opening, and props to the lion dance team that performed. I believe their name was Hung Vuong Lion Dance team.
I love the pedicure massages, the workers are very kind, the lady (Tracey) did my manicure good and she was very kind 🤗, and my moms first time here she didn’t really like how the man (Kevin) did her pedicure, but she will be trying here again to see if it’s different with another person. Overall it is great 👍🏼
I come here at least once/twice a month to get Pedis with my mom…She’s in Katy and I live in Montrose so this is kinda like the middle. When we come here they receive us with a smile and offer us drink. I appreciate the hospitality. I can’t really speak on the other services they offer , however I feel at home coming here and won’t come without mom. Nail salons are a place to relax and get pampered and I get that here. Give it a try, I normally go with the 3 on pedi and spend a little more but it’s well worth it. Just don’t forget to tip and take care of the ones taking care of you! Enjoy 💅🏼💆🏻🥂

The service here never disappoints! Weve been coming here for years, and they always do such a great job on toes, nails, and eyebrows. On Valentines Day, they played really cute love songs & had a special for couples. They always go above & beyond!

I had a wonderful experience here! The technician who took care of me did a wonderful job. I will absolutely be back. Waxing usually irritates my skin; I told her this, and she made adjustments to the wax to keep that from happening. My only suggestion is that they can improve on communication about wait time. They had me wait in a super comfy chair, but it took about 20 minutes for someone to get to me. I didnt mind waiting, but I also was never sure how long it was going to be.
I got a shellac nail paint and I always get shellac. Usually it lasts for a month but when I got it done here it started to peel the next day. My daughter has been sick for the two weeks it has been since I got them done. She is finally feeling better so I went today to see if they would fix it and they gave me the hardest time and acted like it was my fault that they had peeled off. They are more expensive than other salons but conveniently close to my house but I will drive further because of the treatment I received today.
I’m not happy at all! My nails is too thick!! I told her to fix it and she didn’t pay attention at all!! I don’t want to write her name! And when , I told them, they don’t fix the problem and they don’t make me happy at all!!! So don’t go there by random people! Maybe some of them is good! But I’m sure some of them are not good too!!!!!
Just left this wonderful and relaxing place ! When I walked in the aroma of the build relaxed me with my first deep breath. They asked what I come for and soon after I was seated . Mrs chi took care of my pedi. it’s like god himself was touching my feet. I was so relaxed then was offered a drink , I got red wine which was served in a Chilled fancy glass. Mrs.Anna took care of my full set with powder polish and with the most amazing design. They also offer skin care,waxing and massages I will be back soon to try EVERYTHING
My name is Maria Vargas. I am so happy with Vuvuzela nails. I have been coming here since they have been opened. The technician even mentioned it that they’ve been opened 7 weeks and I have been there 5 times. I love pampering myself since I work more than an hour away from home and this salon is down the street from where I live so after coming here I feel so relaxed . My favorite technicians are Lily and Lieh. I also got a facial from Jenny and it was sooo good. They have given great promotions since they started so why not take advantage ?! The young man who is the manager is doing a great job !!!! Always smiling always polite . 2 of my nails cracked and he got them fixed with powder as a courtesy ! I love that everything is so clean and great service and drinks ! Anyone who likes treating themselves should go here ! God bless !!

I was there 2 weekends ago as a first time customer. It was my moms Birthday and I wanted to take her to a relaxing manicure and pedicure experience. We arrived about 1 hour after opening and we felt rushed. The pedicure was mediocre they advertise good massaging time and all these fancy scrubs and hot stone but it felt very rushed and not relaxing at all. My shellac fell off 5 days after and got bubbles in the color the next day. I dont like that 2 techs are working on you at the same time because as other customers walk in they wanna hurry and start the next person. When all the scrubbing was done and it was time for the massage part she pulls out a timer and says ok you have 5 minutes left. Wow. So at check out it was a total of $140 for my mom and I. I already had a total on my phone for the services which totaled $130.where does the additional $10 come from? when I asked for a breakdown he kept giving me the run around. I was already frustrated at this point I paid and I will never return to this place..
Outstanding service!!! Will definitely be going back! Prices were fair and the space is gorgeous. Ive never been so pampered for a Mani Pedi but I was in heaven ! They took their time and werent trying to turn my chair over like a lot of busy places and I so appreciate that.
Never been to a nail salon with a staff and management team that cares so much about their clients and nail appearance. Vincent is amazing and gets to know his clients on a personal level. I would recommend everyone to get their nails done here. The environment is very calm and relaxing seriously the best salon I’ve been too.
I had a terrible experience with Vincent. When I came in they were really busy but if I’m paying my money I still expect good service. I asked for a manicure because I had powder on my nails and two of my real nails had broken. After being seated to soak my powder off, Vincent came over a couple of times in a rush filing and drilling off the powder(mind you these are my nails and I had expressed that the 2 nails that were broken was sore) Vincent returned again and stated he didn’t think just getting a manicure was a good ideas because the rest of my nails might break so he convinced me to get more powder and he would make it strong so my nails wouldn’t break. I had previously stated I don’t wear fake nails and I still want a manicure. He continued drilling off the old powder and then put on the new powder and tips while some of the old powder was still on there. I told him again I don’t wear acrylic nails in which he stated he was just trying to make my nails strong. I asked him not to so he proceeded with just brushing the powder on. Also he was the only technician that didn’t use an overhead light. When he was done the powder looked thick and had several color variations/lines in the polish on multiple nails he also didn’t clean up my cuticles at all. I truly did not like my nails but I stayed calm and tried to express to him there was something wrong with color and he became extremely defensive and told me I’m being too picky(even though I’m paying my money and he still didn’t have a light). I was really upset and told him I just wanted to pay and go. Now 3 days later I notice my power is already lifting from my nail beds. This is ridiculous and I’m upset.
I called to obtain prices and to see what services they provided to book my appointments. The guy kept asking me to hold on he would check. Then someone picked up and said we don’t offer that due to covid. You can come in and we will tell you prices. And hung up on me. ( i called back and told the guy this same thing.) Excuse me, how rude of you. Here I read all these good reviews and decided on this place. Ready and willing to spend good money for my experience. And then you so rudely hang up on me as I’m trying to request your services. But this right here made up my mind to not go there. I’m not paying someone to be unprofessional with me.
Mimi was amazing!!! I recently moved to the Towne Lake area and I have been unable to find a decent nail tech. Over the weekend I stumbled upon this jewel of a place and I will be going back. Very clean and professional...and most importantly FAST service.

I enjoyed my first experience at vuvuzela. Angela was great and a bit of a perfectionist which I really appreciate for my nails. I got a pedicure. I did not expect it to be free, as o called ahead of time ( some things are too good to be true.) But the 30% discount was nice.

Didn’t like the service. Salon was full of people (during covid situation). I made an appointment and they took care of me 30 min after my appointment. Shellac manicure got damaged NEXT day and they cut my foot. I’m giving 3 stars just because the pedicure lady was very educated and seemed to be a nice person. This was my first and last time in this salon! 😢

This is my go to place for nails! I always receive great service and quality work done. My family came to town and we made an appointment for 5 pedicures. We were all pleased with the pedicures and enjoyed the experience.
I recently had an appointment with the nail tech named Don and was treated quite poorly for no reason. As I was waiting for him to do my nails I noticed he was very professional with his current client (not black), but as soon as I sat down his professionalism deteriorated almost immediately. He was snappy and hostile to say the least. I felt unwelcome and as if he was doing be a favor although I was paying to receive service like everyone else. I never jump to oh its because Im black, but in this case I strongly believe this was the case as we hardly said anything to each other. I reported him to the manger and expressed my frustration of being mistreated for no reason and she stated should would talk to him. Im not sure if she really did, but I could not leave without letting it be known how Don treated me. I felt the need to leave a review so future patrons could be aware and make their nail tech selection accordingly.
Cammie and Lien were so nice and friendly, they did not rush on my nails and did exactly what I asked of them. The shop is very nice and clean with lots of colors to choose from. I will definitely be coming back!
Best place Ive been to in Houston/Katy! Vincent did an amazing job! I always have problems with people cutting my fingers and making them bleed but he did not!! Definitely recommend this place HANDS DOWN!! (Pun intended)😊

Understanding that it was the grand opening and it gets hectic. I think they should of organized themselves better. A lot of the employees seemed lost and didn’t know what to do. Didn’t even know the prices on the different services they give. The only reason why I rated it 4 stars was because Anna did a really good job on my mani and pedi. Really formal great customer service, when the manager took to long with our drinks she went herself and got it for us. She was awesome! We love the dragon dance show! It was unique and very cultural! :DThey would of been a five star if they would of just planned and organized better the grand opening.
My first visit to this nail shop definitely wasn’t an enjoyable experience. Once I returned (on the following day) the manager took really good care of me and found another employee that made up for the first employees mistake. Thank you for owning up and allowing me to get my nails redone completely. The second visit was definitely better!! ☺️

Vincent had great techs over the years however, I dislike the idea of doing business with a salon who price gauge. I was literally charged for a service I never received by tech-Jane. I asked for a shellac polish on natural nails due to the extent of my occupation. However, I get to checkout unfortunately they’re not speaking English. I NEVER had a color change. The receptionist says oh a color change is shellac polish. WHAT? I thought change meant replacing something! Lol well you learn something new everyday! He says $38. Ummm $38 for eyebrows, lip, and shellac polish-NO MANICURE! I had to ask for a breakdown of service. This was very unprofessional. The receptionist was yelling my total, as I was calculating Jane’s tip. This would be my last visit as there are better salons in the area. Also I did not tip the tech therefore the male receptionist added her tip fraudulent to the receipt and I have my receipt for verification.
This place is awesome. I had Mary doing my pedicure and Ashley did my nails. They were very professional and did exactly what I asked for. Ben and Vincent were extremely helpful as soon as I walked in. Vincent very knowledgeable. Definitely have a repeat customer in me.
Best nail spa I have been to. My sister and I have been coming since they first opened and our experience has been great! She usually gets dip and they do an incredible job making them thin! And the customer service is great as well :) I’ve recommended many friends to try this place out.

I came in for a pedicure with my mom it was pretty busy when we came in they said about 30 minute wait so we decided to wait. When ever we got seated we waited about another 30 or 40 minutes really wished they would’ve given an honest wait time. Once they started I felt like the guy that was doing my toes was rushing. wish he would’ve taken his time because we waited for such a long time didn’t even ask if I wanted my toes short. I honestly think it would’ve been better if it wasn’t so busy. Not sure if I would give it another try.
I just relocated from the West Coast looking for a spa that I could grow a wonderful relationship with. Prior to relocating I was a 5 year loyal customer and went to the same nail tech who was amazing and handle all my spa services. Starting a new chapter here in TX, I heard about this spa, went in person to schedule an appointment with a lady there who is known for being the best of the best with eyebrow waxing and other spa services. I arrived at my appointment on time and the man at the desk tells me she wasnt there and after asking him why there wasnt a phone call letting me know this so I didnt have to waste my time arriving, unfortunately, I received excuse after excuse. It was unacceptable and not professional business. I see theyre many spas to choose from and Im sure Ill find my spa home very soon. This spa definitely wont be it.
This was my second visit, I came in for a waxing for my eyebrows, chin, and neck.I was told to have a seat as it will be a few minutes and that was not a problem. About almost 20 to 30 minutes later I was called back by one of the guys to do my waxing as I was under the impression that when they are doing the waxing that you have to go into the wax room as with most nail salons. I was not prepared to have my waxing done in front of everyone while being rushed by the guy. It was truly embarrassing and uncomfortable. I would have understood if there was another person in the wax room but there was not.
The atmosphere was very relaxing and the services were great! Tina took her time and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Vin was precise with my jelly pedi. And Angela did a great job on my daughters mani pedi!I highly recommend this spa!!
Absolutely love this place, went in for a full set and a pedi. They did amazing I think this is officially my new nail salon. Definitely worth the 30 mins it took to drive there the staff is very cordial and caring. I came in with another set that another salon messed up so badly. I left so happy!
