For five years I have driven by this place and never gone in.I wish I would’ve gone sooner.A Houston institution—40 years running.I have finally found my crowd.The dress code was delightful—no pajamas or crocs here.The dj knew to play all the good dance grooves spanning decades.Our waitress was so sweet and helpful.The full food menu looked incredible.The drinks had good taste and boozy.My favorite of all was the awesome vibe.Everyone was there to dance and enjoy themselves.I loved watching folks of all ages get their groove on.And when not dancing, you can watch the music videos or sports.Smoking is allowed inside.Will be back!

What can I say, it was my first time EVER to come here and I celebrated my birthday with family and friends.I had an AMAZING time. It was a super fun environment, restroom lady who was there thank you for my napkin and had a layout of spray bottles ready for me loved it made me feel like I was in my own restroom, DJ played variety of songs, staff and bartender you did a great job, loved seeing the energy in the establishment crowd come out and enjoy themselves night was just Phenomenal !! This night is one for the books for me Chayn’s is now my favorite weekend hangout spot!!!

Great family owned club! Loved the atmosphere, has almost a speakeasy vibe! The drinks are reasonably priced and delicious, the wings were my fave! They were nice and crunchy! The servers and bartenders are super nice and they give great drink suggestions. They play all kinds of music, which is awesome. You can either lounge at the bar or join everyone on the dance floor. My husband and I had a blast!

Had a wonderful night celebrating susan b day staff was wonderful the music was on point dj knew how to move the crowd food was hot and fresh. I want to thank owner&staff for having a clean fun and full of energy establishment expect to be back soon

Overall a 3 the ambiance is good but I don’t think the dj can read people properly, his music selection is most times way off.

They over charged my card. I would bring cash.Otherwise its clean and the music is good. Its not for younger crowds though.

My family and I love this place! It’s chill and drama free! The DJ is on point every time!! We definitely will be going here more often! I spent my 35th birthday party here everyone loved it and had a great time!!! Food is bomb simple finger foods but good and on point!!!

Food is decent, atmosphere is decent, but be advised if you arent drinking, you may as well order a drink with the insane price of a coke. $3.25 for a coke, no refills.

One of my favorite weekend hang out spots with great music and vibes all night long as well as really good mix drinks. The servers and bartenders are awesome so go see (Sarah, Morgan and Maren). Highly recommend!!!

Very unique place. Loved the music right up till about midnight then the vibe changed. Recognized a few from the old HOP and Blue Angel from back in the day. Yes no cowboy moves like I do! Yes Im that cowboy you remember! Ill hit this place again. Loved your dance floor!

Very staff friendly club, my husband and I have been going for years. The drinks are great and reasonable. The food is made upon order and delicious and hot. Fridays DJ KAMIKAZE is so good. Always playing the crowd. We walked into this club years ago and were still dancing

It was hard to find self parking after 11:00 PM. They have valet parking for $5. Super friendly staff. Drinks were not expensive. DJ playlist is OK. People would clear the dance floor once in a while. Mostly +50 mature crowd but people mix was interesting. Its a fun place overall.

We went here on a regular basis about 10 year ago. Tonight...we were very disappointed. DJ played a few songs fro. The 70s and early 80s early in the evening...10:00 came and all he played was Hispanic and 90, 00s music. Might be a good place for a younger crowd, but we found it uninviting and left at 10:30 due to the lack of real music to dance to. The claim of playing music from the 70s and on...well, mostly 90s and beyond. Wont go back until management or DJ changes their play list. Not what it used to be.☹

I just saw a video on Instagram a videographer name sikk_whips posted highlight clips of this nightclub in Houston. I’m finally in Houston an now I can go experience on my own got my gals with too So excited!!

The music was somewhat good, and the vibe was ok. The drinks were overpriced or the waitress was ripping us off. She was charging $25 for 1 beer, and I asked and she came back and said $22. I will never go back to this place.

This place is AWESOME!! Welcome change from watering hole type bars where people are hypnotized by phones and TVs. True dancefloor, video DJ playing hits from 80s, 90s and 2000s with a decent sound system.

I went this past sat.No cover before 10pmParking is $10. Unless you get there early, its a small parking lot.The club was nice, 2 bars.Older crowd,. Great music. Lots of 80s. Old school. Bit of tejano and Spanish.The only thing I did not like is the,Indoor smoking, lots of people smoking in there, lots of 2nd hand smoke, you will reak of cigarettes on way out, .🤢🤢🤢

Are they closed? Drove by Saturday night, parking lot was empty. They should update hours.

Honestly, we are all looking for different atmospheres for entertainment. Dress codes help to eliminate nonsense. I went 3 months ago. I loved the music. It was very diverse in ethnicity and ages. The place was packed. I had to park at the bank next door. I thought the cover charge was cheap. I paid for me and my friend. It was less than $10! I look forward to going back.

Chayns was great. The music, food, and drinks were amazing. I had so much fun.

The velvet ropes at the entrance reminds me of a gentlemans strip club and not to mention that only men are charged a cover charge. Not likely to find a seat on Fridays or Saturday night and the drink prices are steep. I do not recommend using your credit cards because you will be over charged. Caters to over 50 age group crowds.

Great ambiance. Plenty of at bar seating. Large dance dance floor with fun lighting. Bar tenders are great. DJ plays a variety of dance music for all age groups. Drink specials on most nights. A fun place to dance. 6-1-17

I first started going here in 2005 when I lived at the Timberstones right next door. I fell in love with the place after my first night. At that time, there was never any cover charge, mature crowd that made it chill to go there, great drinks, and I made several friends that have become close and dear to me still to this day. The original owner, Clifford, was always onsite behind the bar. One year, he served my birthday party group shots on the house. Many regulars, who made going even more enjoyable. The strict Dress code prevented drama, so you never heard or saw someone trying to fight someone for stepping on their Nikes! Great drinks that were mixed perfectly! but after 2011, that changed when Clifford retired and he gave ownership to his daughter and colleagues. They started charging a cover charge, which ran many of the long time regulars away. The age limit was lowered, in which the young bucks started coming in and just disrespecting the crowd and the club itself. Had a punk throw a lit cigarette across the floor and almost hit me. We left and have not been back since. I miss this place, and hope management figured out the error of their changes and have gone back to what the made the this club so awesome.

Great place if you are looking for a woman who is a size 18 but thinks she can wear a size 0 spandex dress. Also good if you are a younger male/female looking for a sugarmomma or daddy. Other than that I wouldnt recommend. drinks are strong

Fascinating. This place should get an award for being the oldest night club in America. Im in my 50s. When I was a teen, I would drive by this place and we believed this was a club for old people (30 something). I never made it to this place, but I recalled a bunch of people back then taking xtc and the patrons looked like casts members of miami vice. Maybe one day I can step foot in this place and do fort nite moves.

Great local venue for old school music and dancing. Great staff, libations and a lot of good fun. One of the friendliess vibes in the greater Houston area. Come early and stay late for good times.

The club is nice, nice environment and cool people. But be careful using our credit card for drinks. Several times I have been over charged or they tipped them selfs without my acknowledgement. It’s only the guy at the back bar, the short one with an attitude

Went there for the first time. Ive been passing by so many times and finnaly picked a Friday night to go. Ive been told by the bartenders that saturday is where its best to be! . Nice chill place . No young bucks . More mature older peeps. My kind of crowd. Most definitely this will be my go to spot !

Nice spot for dancing. Good Dj and I love Salsa night. Only draw back is its always smoky and thats a deal breaker for me. 40s and older crowd, good drinks and prices.

Dress code is bullshit! Now I understand some things like No Hats, No Shorts ... but the guys dress code is way to strictly enforced. I guess only come here if you just got out of church or a funeral. And to be honest, the parking lot was empty, so take what you can get. I just wanted some beers, music and some good service.

Its a proper club. By that I mean you can reserve tables, valet, cover charge, dress code etc. The crowd is mostly 40+ and the music is good dance music. Prices are reasonable.

I loved this place .the atmosphere was great .its mostly older people over 40s .I liked the fact that adults behave as adults and not childish , looking for fights or disrespecting your girlfriend or wife .I did not feel any tention due to testosterone levels.great place .I will be back

So I wouldnt come here unless you want to be unprotected somewhere with only one security guard on a Saturday night which is usually overpacked. This place has security cameras that dont work well at all so if something happens to you then you can forget about the management doing the right thing or being able to provide video. They overserve already drunk patrons which then act really crazy, and sometimes women are taken advantage of here due to this so be very careful and watch your drinks closely. Underaged teens have also been allowed to come here at times which Ive seen firsthand and dont even think about taking a seat at the bar close to the VIP section and the front door for the high end prostitutes that apparently come there for business. The owner Orlando will let you sit there forever then come place a reserved sign for their high end prostitutes and make you move. It doesnt matter if youre a loyal customer for years, they have no loyalty to you....they simply care about getting your money. You may also get overcharged on your bill if you have an open tab, especially if they get you tipsy. They use to have a decent dress code and now they let just about anyone dressed any kind of way in. If youre offered drugs here or see something dangerous going on its best to call the police (and theyll try to discourage you to do that so they dont get in trouble) because the establishment wont do anything about it.

This is my favorite club in Houston. Both Oscar and Orlando have always been kind and friendly. There are always beautiful women here. The drinks are priced very reasonable.

Been a long time patron. Like the diversity, and different music. The admission price has gone up a bit. They dont compete with other venus well enough to rate the door fee. The dj needs to step us the selection. Usually 80s and 90s and 2000s music is played. They are missing out on a lot of good dance music from these eras. Only put off is the SMOKING. it is 2016 people make them switch to e-cigs for one night, it wont kill them.

Ive been going to chayns for 3 years and it was a nice elegant club where people can dress up and enjoy a select public, recently it got a new owner and he does not care about the clients he just wants more people to fill up his pocket and the nice educted people who used to go are leaving by the bunches now you have all kinds of people who go in tshirts and sneakers and theres alot of people without any respect for others filling the Club. The new owner already raised the entry fee on all the drinks and the quality is not the same as used they used to be. There is a lot of discussions and fights lately and somebody stole my phone and a friend of mine had her purse taken as well. When someone has too many drinks the owner has been overcharging them. Many of my fellow club friends feel the same and are looking for a new club. Any suggestions? I do not mind driving longer.

Friday nights is free for ladies and there’s a reason. It’s an older clientele which isn’t a problem but the problem is the trailer trash that also goes there. You see ladies who look like they are on meth (faces as old as your grandma with bleached blond hair) grinding on any guy who wants it. I will never go to this place again. Anyone who is desperate, men and women find your loser there.

Watch out..they will make some people pay a cover charge and some not! My friends met me up there..there were 2 ladies in the front working there. My friends walked right in. I came later and asked if there was a cover and she changed me 10 dollars! Really..taking advantage!!

My Ladies night Friday night good time spot. Diversity at its best.. Dj hit the spot for me.. The place I can get on dance floor solo and have a blast in my on zone every Friday night by way of uber.:) Just cause I can.. 😉

Went for karaoke night, Zzzzz. Otherwise people seemed nice, waitress was a sweetheart and it seems like a place for regulars

I have known the owners of this club for over 15 yrs. They where bartenders before taking over ownership. They have done an amazing job in in providing outstanding customer service.

Great place to dance the night away with friends or solo! Friendly atmosphere, varied ages and music, (only wish the dance floor was larger)!

Do not go to this place they’re rude disrespectful the woman working the door is I guess desperate man hater I don’t know what her issue is. I’ll never return this place as long as I live and the way they spoke to me my goal is to put them out of business so don’t waist you time going here. Much better places very close email me for more info.

The owner is a great guy. Clean most of the time and good dance music. Very little drama ever in here.

As far as the club its self its fine but the djsthat t they have had throughout the years have not been good they need to get djs that have updated music and djs that dont play the same music each and everytime u come to the club.There is one DJ by the name of Kamikaze that was absolutely horrible he was rude and didnt play any of my request that I asked him to play.All ages of people come to that club so they need to play music accordingly to that and once again update the music stop playing the same music all the time and get professional djs that have no problem with taking customers request and that would help make chayns a even better club.

Great venue for throwback ole school music,A get away from the norm with a variety of music R&B songs,Rock,Latina,House music a splash of country and line dances staff friendly and drinks are on point as well as people actually dance and have a wonderful time!!

We love coming here, we always have a blast great music always. Great atmosphere and fun people. ❤️

I do not advise anyone to come to that place. The woman in the reception is very mean and she asks a lot of questions like the police and she looks like a mummy.

I witnessed two women being attacked by 2 other woman for no reason the supposed owner came out with long greasy hair and threatened the innocent girls I was baffled by the behaviour and continued to let the bigger woman attack the younger woman Im disgusted and will never go back
