The food and service was great! Atmosphere was cool as well. The place was really a vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed myself inside of the establishment. I have to give it a 1 star because of the nightmare with the valet. The valet drivers stole something of severity out of my vehicle. I immediately reported it to the owner, whom directed me to the owner of the valet service.... I havent heard anything about it and this item is worth about $500 dollars. I had to go file a police report.

About last night… Unfortunately, after my very first visit last night, I’ve been left with a bad taste in my mouth about this place. I made a reservation only to get there and be told, they can’t find it, therefore, I have nowhere to sit. Although I showed them the email confirmation, and the text confirmation I was told that all the other spots were for ‘customers who paid for sections/tables’ and that they could sit me somewhere, but when the party came, I had to get up. Mind you, there was no option to pay online. Then I was told I could sit upstairs in an empty room alone, and wait two hours for the live band, but when the party came, I had to get up. I told her I was not getting up from anywhere. So this is how you treat your customers??? I asked for a manager but the girl called a waitress over to help. I was told that the online reservation system is outdated and that’s why I had no reservation. It doesn’t even work! Thank goodness it was only for two people but since my friend didn’t come, it was only me. She sat me in a corner, in a chair by the stairs that was fine right then but once people started coming in, I basically disappeared. I was practically sitting on the floor because all the other seats around me were stools. I couldn’t even see the stage and had to maneuver around to get a glimpse. Eventually, I just stood at the bar. The one star is for the people, ambiance and entertainment which is a vibe, gumbo was good and my waitress was sweet. I had been wanting to visit for several weeks and was very disappointed. There are too many other great lounges in Houston and they’re popping up daily. If your online system doesn’t work, update it if you don’t want more reviews like this because you lost a customer. And not just one because I’m basically scouting and will report my experience on all social media apps. I have no desire to return. I’ve never experience such embarrassment when I go to The Savoy, Quad’s, or Rockhouse. I honestly don’t see this establishment lasting long if this is how you do business. DO BETTER! Update: Some ignorant person with that lounge messaged me in the most condescending manner!!! I’ve never experienced such a lack of unprofessionalism. Trash management!!

When we were greeted our hostess her name was Shenica (I apologize if it is incorrect) She served table 16 near the DJ booth. She was an absolute pleasure! When the kitchen sent out my gumbo it was fresh and hot and tasted good. I got the fried fish (It is not catfish) but it was seasoned very well and it was good. My friend got the chicken and sausage pasta, when that plate came to table it was smoking hot!!! The chef moved it from the stove to table quickly 😂 that most definitely was a plus. They have an upstairs with swings for photo ops. If you like hookahs they have that. Oooo the Strawberry Lemon drops were good and they keep coming to the table. The valet parking was $20.00. If you want cheaper parking there are a few paid lots around the area. I will most definitely be back. I do hope the service is the same next time!

I finally made my way here after wanting to try it. The text blasts were definitely a sign to come on,and what better night to have a 1st time experience than R&B Thursday? Upon entry,the hostess and 3 servers provided warm smiles and immediately made us feel welcome. Soon after,we were escorted to our table. Shauna (I hope I’m spelling it correctly),our server greeted us. Prior to her coming,other servers passing by asked if I was okay,which was impressive considering I’d just recently been seated. Shauna was warm,friendly,and attentive. The Boudin Balls and fries were tasty,and steaming hot when I received them. The beverages were also flavorful. The upstairs and downstairs dj’s were on point,and of course the live entertainment was on point as well.I do plan to come back again sooner than later.

I went to an event held here. The food was good I had the Vegetable pene pasta.( Edit - I found sliced chicken in my pasta so Be Weary Vegetarians. ) My gf had the wings And fries. The event was upstairs. The music was so loud downstairs it was hard to hear the people on stage upstairs. The bathrooms smell like waisted sewage water ... you smell them before you get to them. If I had to eat downstairs anywhere near that restroom I wouldnt have ate at all. Upstairs service was slow and it was hard to get someones attention to serve us.

THIS WAS A NIGHT!!!!!My travel agent, MO, hosted a meet n greet for our upcoming group trip to Jamaica, and we left no crumbs!First, there is plenty of good parking right across the street from the spot, which made me feel comfortable because usually in Houston, I have to park and walk around a corner or something. I walked in and was greeted by everybody who worked there. Our party was upstairs but the vibe on both levels was on point.Our servers were efficient when taking orders, they were patient and pleasant. That was important because it was a lot of us and everybody was on their own tab.We started at 7:30 so we didnt have a DJ upstairs until around 9:30ish but it was cool cause it was early.The food! We ordered damn near one of everything on the menu and ALL of it was good AF! If you aint never been to Society, what ya waiting on Boo?!

Waitress did come check on multiple times .. but didnt give menu tell special or anything I just do happen bto look online to see menu n drink option dj on bottom level was better then top in my opinion for a great vibe would try again with different groups of ppl !!

I loved the experience, from the valet (just save yourself time) to the ambience, vibes and food. Wait staff was welcoming and helpful, music was great a great time was had. We are upstairs for an event and the entire energy was more than expected. The real thing is better than the promo! Happy to come back

My sister’s 35th birthday turned out amazing! We had a nice section upstairs that fit my party, the venue made accommodations for us as needed, the Dj turned us up! I couldn’t have asked for a better night. They worked with me planning as well. I look forward to returning.

This place is one of a kind. The R&B Night is a treasure for Houston as it showcases the talent of this area. The service is exceptional from the parking lot to the internal staff!!! This establishment is an embodiment of the Houston culture, diverse and accepting! I strongly recommend R&B Thursday to natives and visitors!

Lgbtq all day... so if you are not comfortable with that.. stay away. When we went..there were no tables available like at all. So if you are trying to be cute with heels 👠...dont because standing in heels is not a goox time. They do offer food but wasnt able to speak to anyone to order. They also offer hookah upon request. The atmosphere is cute and cozy but high suggestion on getting in the place early to get at least a chair lbvds

It is located in Eado area. They had a soft opening with a decently sized crowd. The DJs were good. Drinks are top shelf so pricing is in the double digits. The food pricing was okay considering. Both menus were modest. But of course, its a new place. Everything is a booth, so it screams VIP or else. You will have to pay the relentless $20 parking fee unless you are savvy with parking in the area. Good luck! Hookah is $40, and for the quality, its not worth it. The ventilation was good and the A/C definitely worked! Lol. Im not too pressed to revisit this place. I can be inconvenienced closer to home.

Me & my friends had a great experience!! Host of the event gave positive energy & made me feel as if I knew all the people I interacted with.

2 hours wait for food. When we sat down they lied and said we can order food in 30 minutes. Then it turned into an hour, then an hour and a half. We waited and waited. This should be advertised as a nightclub, not a restaurant, because food service doesn’t exist. The waitress was very nice but clearly overworked and the kitchen lied to her about when we can order so she in turn has to lie to us. We eventually closed our tab and left full of liquor and no food :(

I tried this restaurant out yesterday…. When I say this place is amazing… The food is so good, I had the honey spicy chicken. You can tell the chicken was thoroughly cleaned prior to cooking!!!! The Mac and cheese was good and I an expresso martini I think that’s what it’s called. I walked in and sat at the bar… nice music very clean establishments. I wasn’t to fond of the bathroom though… but definitely a staple and a must. I live in houston and no restaurant taste this good 😩 I’ll be back 👏🏾

Jeffff!!!!! Handsome, professional, attentive, and easy on the eyes, honey! Anna, so cute and friendly, is working hard and never missing a request. Morgan is dressed to the T, and I know it was hard to ignore me and my besties wild conversation, but she kept it cute and professional!!! Jeff and his team were amazing. Food is goooood! I can cook so I normally judge hard. Lol The fish and grits were crisp and creamy, well seasoned, and served HOT. The chicken and waffles was perfect- a crispy and sweet waffle with perfectly fried and seasoned wings. The perfect vibe for a kid free Mothers Day brunch. Dont be fooled tho! Kids are welcome. Came to Society for a chill vibe for Thursday R&B nights and definitely got exactly what I needed! The vibe, the music, and the service was amazing. Our service from Jaguar was prompt, and pleasant. Even with a good amount of people and tables she made sure to check on us consistently. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good vibe, music and drinks.

Overall this is a beautiful place, beautifully decorated, easy to get seating, grown and sexy atmosphere. Two floors, the 1st floor is the main space, the second was an extra area, great for private parties or just get away from the loud music. However there were a few issues. The main one was the loudness of the music. The place is not very big for the music to be that loud. We ended up leaving early because we couldnt take the loudness anymore. We went on Friday and only by Sunday my hearing was returning to normal, thats how loud it was in there. Second thing was the menu, it was quite limited in general but there were no vegetarian options aside from a salad. I get it, its limited for the type of place it is, and not everyone is accommodating to dietary restraints based on availability and customer needs, but it would have been nice to have at least some nachos or sweet potato fries or something aside from a salad that anyone vegan vegetarian can have. I feel like its a lost opportunity because I didnt buy any food. But my family said what they had was good. Also this is something clubs lounges and bars are going to have to get used to, because there are a lot more people who dont drink these days, but still like to go out and have a good time. Yes there are people who dont drink for many different reasons, personal, dietary, medical, I am one of those people. Having a great mocktail menu of well made non-alcoholic drinks is definitely a golden opportunity for people like me who cannot drink. When I asked for something non-alcoholic the waitress looked at me like I ask for a cup of dirt lol. Eventually she suggested a stawberry lemonade which was fine but I would have been willing to buy more than just a lemonade but thats all that was available from my understanding. A strawberry lemonade that was mostly syrup lol. Yeah, no. LolSo overall, places beautiful but could use a little tweaking. Either way I had a good time with my family we always turn up no matter where we are lol But would I be back to this place? No, at least not until some changes are made.

I came here for my birthday and had a great time! The food, service and overall experience was amazing. Jaguar was our server and was super attentive to make sure that we had everything we wanted in a timely manner. I can’t wait to come back again!

I wont be returning here. Despite multiple visits, each one has been worse than the last. The first time was fine, enjoying a birthday bash with friends. However, on New Years Eve, things went downhill. A friend organized a reservation for 16 people, specifically requesting 2 adjacent tables. Upon arrival, they seemed to have forgotten our reservation and attempted to squeeze all of us onto a tiny table meant for 6. After much back-and-forth, we ended up with two diagonal 8-top tables.we were informed we had to buy a bottle, and upon questioning, they insisted on a minimum spend of over $300 per table. We assured them that, with 16 people, wed easily surpass that. Reluctantly, they agreed. By 11 pm, my husband and I had spent over $200, leaving ample room for the remaining 10 people. Everything seemed fine until the server abruptly informed one of our tables they had to relocate to a cramped 4-seater.When we inquired, she pointed to a man flashing money, claiming he needed a seat. Despite our consistent spending, they prioritized this last-minute request. It was unprofessional and disruptive. To avoid further confusion and ring in the New Year, our group complied, leaving some standing. This experience was so unimpressive; I wont be returning. Not all money is worth the trouble.Prices were jacked up, drinks were weak, and our cups werent filled. The food took forever for some. We left shortly after midnight and wont be returning. They can keep their unprofessional behavior. Watch out for inflated bottle prices. Save yourself the trouble; there are better places in Houston to enjoy without all this hassle.

I’m new to the city but had a friend coming in town to celebrate her birthday and was looking for somewhere to take her. RnB Thursday is a whole VIBE! We had an amazing time! Our server Jaguar was so sweet! I will definitely be returning.

My date and I recently visited this place for the first time and the service was 10/10. Ty Taylor was our server and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Since it was our first visit, I asked Ty what was the best menu item. She recommended that I get an Escapade as my drink, which was 10/10. She also recommended the gumbo and catfish, another 10/10. Although the food was amazing, the service provided by Ty Taylor was one of my favorite parts of my visit, she was amazing! I look forward to visiting again and I’m hopeful that Ty will be our server again :)

Its a very nice, cozy spot. Great atmosphere and music. The seating is nice and comfortable. Hookah was good, no burnt taste, smoked really well. I have not had the food ,but it looks delicious. This is a go-to spot. I will always support good people.

I love the vibe and aesthetic here! The music is great, and Thursday R&B night was a concert! Such great singers. There’s also a lot of seating and room to dance so I love that. The swings upstairs are my favorite and a great photo opp!

When I got to society upon entry they had valet on deck. The DJ had a nice mix going and I was ready for a good time. My server was beautiful and so sweet. I was with 4 friends and we had bottle service, they were quick. Oh and the food was A1 I got the oxtales 🔥 and my friends did the pasta glazed pasta. I love the decor from the velvet sections to the chandeliers it classy and chic. I will be back next time for R&B Thursdays.

Society is the place the be if you are looking for live music then Thursday night is your time. If you want the lounge experience for a party of 7 or more the stage sections are perfect. Sunday brunch is amazing as well with the oxtails and grits which are my favorite and the addicting chicken and waffles. Go check them out you won’t regret it.

Not sure what happened with other’s visits but mine was on point!!! Let’s start with parking… it’s valet so you’re at the door… no walking on these city streets! The spot itself is absolutely gorgeous… plenty of seating and TVs. The wait staff was plentiful, beautiful, and attentive. We got everything we asked for in a timely fashion. The food was great! I had the catfish and I would compare it to any other place in the city. I’m here visiting the city for my 10th time, but surely will be back here!!

My bestie and I tried this place out on a Friday night (1/5/24). Unfortunately it was such an underwhelming experience. Small, isolated crowd. We sat at the bar and we each ordered a different type of signature cocktail. We took a few sips and quickly decided they were not worth trying to finish. Nothing different or exciting about this spot. It’s a one and done for us.

Beautiful venue but was celebrating my fiancé’s birthday and our service was something else. Our waitress Gigi had bad breath and bad service she kept trying to talk to my dude about his hair and when they played shake your dreds song she tried dancing next to him and he had to get up and come stand in front of me. I requested a new waitress and after the new one came she still kept coming over there. Both us and the new waitress were confused. Ladies you’ll have a good time but 👀 ya man. Best spot for a Thursday live music down stairs amazing dj upstairs. Drinks were a little expensive compared to other places but the atmosphere made up for it. Didnt try the food but they have a great variety on the menu including ox tails.

Took 45 minutes for our first round of drinks to get to the table. Almost an hour wait for a bottle that cost over $300. Service was extremely slow. The waitress was nice. But also seemed clueless. I spoke so highly off this place too soon. Do not recommend.

We attended the watch party. Love the atmosphere. Every person we delt with was inviting and friendly. Beautiful staff. We reserved a table but decided on the bar once we got there. Big shout out to our Bartender Drecause Sis knows how to pour a drink and take care of her customers. Huge TVs everywhere. Upstairs, with swings, is just as nice. Outside of the bar has very unique seating areas. Did, I forget to mention the food? Let me tell you. Im not to big on brunch because it seems like the same menu everywhere you go but our bartender convinced us to try it. We played it safe and went with the chicken and waffles. Baby let me say this. I dont know whos Aunt Bertha is back their in the kithchen but that chicken and waffles was so homemade good, I forgot to take a pic. So good that we ordered 8 pieces and red beans and rice to go.We had such a good time. This may be our new spot. Who ever that Ricky is, keep him. Came with a group. Pasta was a bit salty. Water an hour for hookah that was already paid for. Also waited for one of my friend’s food for about 45 minutes. I understand the soft opening but I wouldn’t do it again. The salad was literally LETTUCE. Owner came and the excuse was it was their SOFT OPENING! All I’m gonna say is, EXCUSES ONLY SATISFY THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THEM! I will never come here again!

Babbbbbyyyy we had A TIMEEE last night celebrating my big brothers birthday. As usual Nishia Jackson and her team took AMAZING care of us. We had a party of about 30 ppl and EVERYONE was TURNT TF UP!!!! The food was AMAZING ( we had the oxtail and pasta), the drinks were drinking babbbyyy, and our waitress was attentive and had amazing customer service. If you all have not been to The Society HTX you need to make you way over there. You WILL not be disappointed 😍😍😍 They definitely made my brothers birthday happy🤣🤣🤣

I absolutely love Society! The food is amazing and it’s nothing but great vibes and music!! I’ve been here a few times and they never disappoint, literally 10/10!!!
