Super subpar club. Unfortunately, witnessed the white male “bouncer” being very condescending toward the women in line. The “club” felt like a dark hotel lobby. Poor DJ, overpriced soda-cocktails, and an overall weird vibe. There are definitely better spots in FSQ than this.
1. Paying a cover when buying a section is absurd. I’ve traveled all around the world and have never experienced that. Money thirsty practice!2. When there is a liquor store 0.3 miles away, you should never be out of Teremana. Lazy and whomever is preparing inventory for Saturday, the busiest night of the week should be fired. Either someone is lying in order to force the customer to purchase a more expensive bottle or inventory isn’t taking place.3. Staff was nice is the only reason for 2 stars.
Went to an event for Valentines. They advertised it as a rnb and afrobeats event. I came to the event an hour after it started and left 2 hours before it ended. It was so BORING. The djs didn’t know how to mix or transition the songs over. The song selections didn’t feel like they thought it through. I paid $35 for a Patron and Dusse. They add in their own tip. The bar wasn’t packed and I didn’t see a lot of people drinking. You were allowed to leave and come back in, so I believe people were drinking in their cars. They advertised that it’s strongly suggested we arrive early however that definitely wasn’t needed as it was only about a quarter full. Lots of empty sections and not a lot of dancing. They said they were going to record but I didn’t see a lot of that. I feel like just because I come to an event doesn’t give you a right to record me. And to add that into the fine print is crazy. That’s exactly why people don’t dance in the clubs now. It’s killing the party scene. These tickets were overpriced at $50+ for a very dull time, expensive drinks, no sitting area unless you absurdly bought vip, and bad music. Lots of better places in the Indianapolis area that plays better afrobeats and rnb. The ladies restroom is beautiful, the club itself is modern, and the staff were polite. Nothing about my experience would make me want to come back.
First time there was Saturday and Ive been waiting every day since to have there seafood Alfredo again. Its a 20 out of 10! Enough food to take home and eat later . I will be there around 8 on Wednesday and I love a hour away ... Im a foodie.. also a great atmosphere grown and sexy
Stopped into Paradox this weekend. Very out of place. The inside is very nice but makes little sense in Fountain Square. It would be a great downtown bar but it was a confusing Ft Square experience. We both had a drink, they were okay but definitely not worth the price in comparison to other craft cocktails available in the area. The music was incredibly loud. We didnt even know there was a dance floor upstairs, we were only invited to sit at the bar. Not approachable for the local residents and definitely not a good bar to just hang out in. Too loud to hear anyone but dancing was not made available to us. So overall not impressed. I love an expansion to our neighborhoods nightlife, but not one that doesnt welcome our own residents.
Jennifer was amazing. We travel often and my partner looks for the best old fashion. Jennifer by far met our expectations. She was accommodating and kind. Our drinks were phenomenal. I had a margarita and it was the best of the night. But the old fashion hit the mark! It was the best across the west side of the county. Love Jennifer!
My lover and I just ate at this establishment and from the service to the ambiance to the food was superb. Both of us had the Paradox burger and the spinach and artichoke dip. Everything was seasoned to perfection and highly suggested. Happy to support a black owned business that goes above and beyond for their customers. We will be back again!
Went here for dinner and the food was on point. The spinach and artichoke dip was great with homemade fried chips, the fries were also 10/10. It has a classy and upscale environment but the servers were friendly and low key, we got a tour of the upstairs club part just for fun. I know some people are complaining about having a dress code and valet parking in fountain square - why does every business in a neighborhood have to be the same vibe? Y’all need to open yourself up to new things and support this African American owned local business.
Out of place. This place is making Fountain Square feel more like Broad Ripple
We are local residents and although hesitant to give Paradox a try (based off local reviews and conversations), we went for it.While I cannot leave a review for the food, drinks or service, I can leave a review for being judged the second we walked up to the door and denied entry. We were dressed well beyond the dress code standard (which having such a standard is frowned upon in the community) and there were plenty of seats available, yet told they were full. If we needed to make a reservation beforehand, then we should have been informed of that at the door because being told we needed a reservation (after filing a complaint), is a hard sell, especially when we were NOT even asked if we had a reservation to begin with! Why would the person at the door assume we didnt make a reservation? Inquiring minds want to know.
Don’t go here. Apparently wearing tapered dress slacks and a collared shirt won’t get you in if you’re wearing Yeezy shoes. Most asinine dress code I’ve ever heard of. Never going back, and our birthday party wasn’t even allowed in because of my shoes. 👎🏽
Great venue with even better drinks! Great addition to the area to continue to bring life to the area since the bank that was in the spot closed over 3 years ago causing a bit of an eye sore over there! Cannot wait to come again!!! Thanks for seeing the potential of Fountain Square as more and more diversity is brought to the area!
A dress code and valet parking in fountain square?? I think you need to understand your audience…no other bar in fountain square has a dress code…serving an 18$ burger when the best burger in the city is down the street for the same price… love a cool club space here but current format won’t work
This place has a nice club feeling. Good music, very nice drinks that are really affordable. The crowd is nice and not chill. Youll get more club feel here that many other places in the city. You should try it.
As a resident of the neighborhood we thought we would check out the place. We were rejected at the door and told there were no tables available. Yet they let in all the people before and after us. We were dressed appropriately. The are definitely not the inclusive neighborhood place they claim to be.
I like the place but I was confused because from my understanding from being there a few time it was free to get in which I don’t mind paying but it was little weird because at the door they only took cash app payments but I told the girl I already had a section for my friends birthday but they said I had to pay on top of buying bottles and stuff for the section the part that’s confusing is that there was card readers everywhere in the building but at the door they only took cash app payments
Kicked everyone out at 10 like they had a lineeeeee of ppl coming in. Hookah has no tobacco so it don’t be hitting.went for hip hop and got Afro music… go elsewhere.. as a fountain square community member spend your money else where.
Here to support the people that said that the staff/door security is rude. Yes, they are. Especially the fat, bearded security man. He wouldnt even let us get in. He is such an azzhole and they will lose a lot of customers if they dont fire him. I know I am never going back
Its called Phoenix now and has very very slow bottle service. The manager that nite seemed to treat the vips differently and seemed to have a preference and an attitude too. Waiting staff was good. The DJ was 🔥🔥🔥. Manager sucked should have called in that nite.
Good nightclub would not have a policia out front along with mean muging parkig kids ! Along with the other bars. But much love to anyone that opens a business . Nice place:)
I don’t know where to begin. The staff/security was rude AF. They have more rules than a school yard. Over priced and under valued. Will never go back.
Bottle girls are rude , not attentive , spent $600 here and the worst experience ever . It took them one hour to bring our bottle out leaving us with only 30 mins to finish . Would not come back here . I don’t mind spending money but when the service is mediocre it’s not worth it .
The music and vibe was great. justyce was an amazing bartender- super friendly, attentive and gorgeous! Will be back.
Drinks are overpriced. Management is rude. Small portions of food. I wouldn’t even waste my time!
Dont know what this bar is doing in Fountain Square. This dress code is insane, drinks are incredibly over priced.
My first time at Paradox, was for Don bday party.. the staff was very nice, the bartenders were awesome, my shrimp dish yummy 😋
Bad service i order hookah i was there 1:40 pm i wait for my hookah almost 40 min after that’s hookah come there close close i was smoke hookah just 4 to 10 min there changed me 60 dollars for 5 min
Just had a really bad experience told one thing at the door then fives minutes after ordering was told I couldnt have a hat or shorts that we needed to cash out Im pretty sure of the reasoning but will never go back
This place is amazing from the aesthetics, food, music and drinks! Gorgeous staff and unique liquor selection.
Cool spot. But they need to work on somethings. Food was just ok. Service wasn’t that good.
Such a vibe! And Justyce gave nothing but amazing service! 100/10 would recommend.
Black Owned, grown and sexy. Food is amazing & the vibe is even better!
Had a great night!! Food and drinks were on point!!! Can’t wait to go back!!

Is the worst place you wanna go and hang out the club is almost empty. They took my money. I bought a bottle at 3:15 and the turn on the light at 3:30 and push me out management sucks charge me at the door $20. You don’t wanna go there.
Awesome
