Not a bad place but it is cramped trying to walk through the place. Lots of items to look at but the space is entirely too small. And if you vape do not get the NICE STRAWBERRY MILK SHAKE disposable. It was 2 for 15 so I took the deal and those taste like crap. Absolutely horrible and tastes nothing like a strawberry milkshake.
Jon, Cory, and Cameron ( I don’t know the other names), help making decisions easier when I’m looking for more than cigarettes. They all are extremely helpful and friendly even if they don’t remember my brand of cigarettes yet. You guys are amazing!

I visited the store initially just to browse the collection, which was much larger than I realized. When I got stuck staring at a display, the staff asked what I was looking for and helped guide me to purchase several vapes and glass pieces that I’ve been very happy with! Friendly folks to help you with all your glass pipe needs. They even sell thc-a. It’s so much cheaper than the dispensaries right next door. Wax is $20 a gram compared to a dispensary who charges $55for the same product.
Places like this are for those impulse purches. Avoid them at all cost, unless you just have money to burn. There is nothing that you cant get cheaper online direct. They talk like they are giving deals, but you walkout feeling like you just got fleeced by a used car salesman. Way over priced and way over rated. Save your money.
The two guys that were there a couple weeks ago were just awesome and fantastic. I think one was the owner. They were so polite kind great customer service show me where to get a table for about 20 bucks down the street you guys rock I wish I had more reason to come in there and buy stuff.

Heaven!!Today I visited one of the coolest stores in the Northland and its called Happy Rock discount smokes. the moment you walk in the door youre bombarded by every kind of paraphernalia you could ever possibly imagine.The patrons in the store were just as friendly as the staff themselves. My friend went in looking for a piece for her vape the other stores did not have we were referred here and they immediately had exactly what she needed. I am giving this store five stars because a gem like this is needed in the Northland.

Been going here for 8+ years now, they have a wide selection and are pretty knowledgeable in the business, just do some research and price match before purchasing anything. On 420, of all days, I purchased a glass piece and got exactly what I wanted, but upon arriving home and doing some more research, I found the same product from the supplier for $10 less, using their holiday promo, $25 less. I was also charged a mystery $5 credit card fee on top of my recipt total. Overall, I paid $40 more than what I should have on a single item. Very different from the deals this store used to throw constantly and not to mention the lack of any 420 promos/raffle this year upset me. If you arent in a rush, just purchase online, saves you a trip out and money.

Not only have the guys at this shop been helpful in terms of explaining whats in their store, but they go above and beyond by showing you the different options they have for your specific needs, explaining how the different types of products can help with your needs, showing you everything they have in terms of flavors and options and fun designs, and they have all kinds of things like stickers and bags and shirts too! But what I like best of all? They know a lot about what they do and they have no problem talking to you about your needs and your interests and helping you figure out what to try! They are easy to talk to and know a lot about everything they sell! Next time I go Ill see if they will let me take pictures 😉

They have everything you could ever need for smoking despite the small location. Its pretty cramped but a really cool shop that has more stuff than shops 4 times the size! The staff seems cool too. Im only giving it 3 stars because they want like twice the msrp on a lot of the name brand stuff. I know I cant expect exact internet prices but 150 for a hunibadger bullet attachment is way too much for me to even consider. Its 80 on every website I look at including hunilabs site. Kind of disappointing but Ill just get it elsewhere

I love this shop but one complaint I do have is prices change rapidly depending on the worker. I paid 6.00 for a very small bottle of blunt effects car spray the same exact bottle I get for 3.59 elsewhere but the guys that work there are pretty chill and usually are good about making it work. Ladies wear your make up and your prices may drop lol. But overall its one of the better smoke shops Id say.

I pulled out my wild card ans bought 50 dollars extra worth accessories. :)win win.

Really disappointed with my most recent visit. Ive been stopping in periodically for years, been really happy with the selection and service. Finally quit smoking cigarettes and switched to vapes to help me quit. Bought a flavor, at the recommendation of one of the employees, had said vape for approx 24 hours, determined that the flavor was too harsh and I couldnt breathe when I used the product. Went back in to ask if I could exchange for a different flavor and was told that they would only exchange if the vape itself was defective. So, because I was honest about the problem they refused to work with me, even though they were the ones to recommend it in the first place. So if you need to exchange anything, be sure to only tell them that the item is defective.Edit to respond to comment from owner: I didnt dislike the flavor. The flavor was fine, I couldnt breathe after 1 puff off the vape. As far as trying the product before leaving the store, not one person has ever asked or offered to make sure the product works before I left your store. I understand policy, but there was no need for the employee to be so smug or arrogant about the situation. Had I just lied and said it didnt work he wouldve had no issue trading it out, but the fact is that it didnt work correctly, because if it had I would have been able to breathe, and not have had to use my inhaler after using the product from your store.

*edit*I was able to get the scale swapped out for a working one without any issue (my cousin did the exchange) and while I personally have not checked the lcd on this one, I was told that the new one was checked before being exchanged which is A+ service in my book. Thanks Happy Rock Smoke Shop!I purchased a digital scale 2 days ago and the lcd is not working properly. One of the zeros looks like a 7 at best. I have since lost (misplaced) the receipt. I only wish to exchange them but have no desire to return to the gladstone location. Im not even claustrophobic and found it a little hard to focus in this store. Its very small. The Liberty location is much better space-wise. I hope I can exchange them at the Liberty store instead. Also, the help I received at the gladstone location felt a little rushed and sort of generic.
Awesome people. Cheapest place to get cigarettes around! They don’t take coupons though but their prices are better than any other place I’ve gone to. I do wish their lights were not so bright on the outside of their building though. Very blinding.
Absolutely the only smoke shop I will shop at. We basically go there so often I dont even have to tell them what I need, they have it ready. Everyone that has ever helped me was super attentive and you never feel rushed. When I first moved here, I had a really hard time finding my vape juice since I only smoke one flavor and now they always have it!
Went in this morning as they opened up (I always shop here for any of my needs). The guy who helped me was more than happy to help and had a super genuine attitude. I went to get a new dab bucket and they charged me $50. So I went to the manufacturers website to compare pricing and it was $26, Ill know next time.
Came here on the recommendation of a friend for a specific vape pen. I was NOT disappointed. They have a great selection in every category, and very helpful and professional staff. If you have questions about anything they dont make you feel inferior for asking.I left the shop with more things than Id planned to buy, a great understanding of how some of the cool tech-y things worked. And great deals on some staple items. I will be returning and have suggested it to friends as well. The only unfortunate part is that its a bit of a drive for me. Hopefully if enough people learn about Happy Rock theyll open another store!

They legit inflate prices and mark up Chinese glass as if it didnt come from DHgate or alibaba for 3 dollars.. you can get most products directly from retailers shipped to your door for less.
WARNING!!!!I was handed a card from an employee who said to give a good review. At checkout another employee handed me another card saying the same thing. Feels like they are competing against one another. Not thats its a bad thing but kinda sketch.. I bought 3 Puff Plus bars and apon verifying if they are legit the scratch sticker smeared the verification code off on 2 of 3. I just so happen to get lucky on the 3rd and the code came out clear. So I went online to verify them and the only one that I could check due to the stickers being smeared were counterfeit. Apon being sketched I went to grab my friends who get them from a different place to compare them the writing is completely different and the flavors are wrong like strawberry kiwi but on the Puff bar website the flavor is called kiwi strawberry....STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!I GOT RIPPED OFF AND I AM COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED.

Trash store , bought some items that I was told by the manager came with a warranty. When I called about exchanging they told me it wouldnt be covered on either item. If you want to overpay and get jerked around by the so called manager by all means go here. Used to be my favorite shop in KC bit I would highly reccomend any shop but this based on customer service and how they say anything to get the sale

Went in for a detox drink decided to look around. First off if you plan on walking through their store you better be good at walking sideways it is so small. Looked at some of their bowls for bongs because mine just broke all were 40 buck or more everything overpriced and their detox drink was fn EXPIRED that they sold me for over double the price you would be able to get online. Very disappointed with this so called smoke shop. Will never go back.

The markup is pretty insane. $20 for a basic water pipe bowl replacement is ludicrous.Westport has better prices (and their products are marked with a price).Online is def. a lot cheaper if you can wait.Don’t let this place give you the whole “yeah this is quality you pay for” talk b/c most of their stuff is unbranded (just like the bowl I was interested in).Im more peeved that I feel like the guy running the counter straight made his own price for what I was buying after I told him like 3 times over I didn’t need anything else.Won’t be back

Very nice...but quite expensive. They have a lot of things. Could spend quite a bit of time looking but you feel like you are in the way if someone else walks in...quite crowded.
Even though the store is the size of walk in closet, they always have awesome glassware, and good customer service.

Pretty expensive on juices along with their vape mods / vape tanks a well as coils. Typical ran vape shop (price gouging) as do about 5 in a row off of Broadway in downtown KC that all have something obviously in common. I mean, their staff is somewhat nice. Go down the street to The Vapor Lab, or go to Vapors Edge in Lawrence. I am in no way, shape and or form affiliated with these companies. These reviews are my honest experience with all listed stores including this one I am reviewing.

Pretty cool kinda over priced. I would give five but this store is impossible to move around it its ao stuffed full of things and its impossible to move around if theres more then one person.

Was asked to leave because I work for another Vape store. I do not have any inclination as to why I was not allowed to purchase juice or look at their selection. I actually giggled at first because I thought THEY WERE KIDDING, they were not. I have purchased there MANY times before and appalled and embarrassed at the way I was treated.That being said, If you work for a vape establishment, dont mention it or you will be asked to leave. Will be posting over social media as well, sad to see this. ACCUSED ME OF SPYING FOR PRICES ON MY FACEBOOK. WELL PLAYED HAPPY ROCK.

I went in to buy a new vape because mine wasnt working. Instead of selling me a new one, he asked me questions until he knew why mine wasnt working. I did what he suggested and my vape is working like new!! Love these guys!!!

Front door to this establishment clearly says must be 21 or over to enter...must be a lot of 21 year olds going to high school in Gladstone...just saying its incredibly irresponsible of them to allow teenagers to make purchases but I guess they gotta get sales somehow right! 🤷♀️
