Apple was incredible. I got a deep tissue massage and her attention to detail was present the whole entire time. She really focused on getting some tough knots out of my back and shoulder and did a great job applying the right amount of pressure. She was super professional, skilled, and communicative to make sure I was feeling good throughout. Im already thinking about the next time I will be back. I cant recommend this place and Apple enough!

Best massage I have ever had! Magdalena listened to what my issues were and was totally focused on them. She also provided information on to help me take care of myself so as not to create similar problems in the future. All other aspects of the spa were excellent.

This is my 6th visit to Down to Earth Thai massage in La Jolla. Every time I leave there with thoughts of Wow! that was an incredible experience! I cant wait to go back!! . I think it took me 6 visits to finally find the words to express what an amazing experience it is.To find somebody that cares so much about helping people with injuries and has the knowledge and experience to do something about it is very rare. Thats what makes it truly special to visit here.I consider myself a competitive athlete running over 150 Spartan races over the last nine years. Finding somebody that knows how to work on a athletes body is hard to find! Beyond that, the place is beautiful the Ambience is amazing! Sara and the girls are truly gifts to this business 💪. Their ability the judge the needs of the client is first rate!.I thoroughly recommend giving them a call and making an appointment! ( and you do need to make a appointment theyre very busy for obvious reasons).Tell Them Jason sent you in! Lol

I was a massage therapist for 20 years so my expectations are high. I saw Magdalena for a 90 minute Thai massage and I was transformed from head to heart. My body hasn’t felt this good for a long time. The space and vibe are really nice and Magdalena was all business. Worth every cent (prices are super reasonable) and I highly recommend. Don’t delay. You deserve it.

However, it turned out that Im very happy that I gave it a chance and I would like to say that I will be back again.This is such a relaxing place to get massage. They keep the place organized & cleaned. The therapist was professional and excellent in techniques. She helped me relieve my stress and back pain. The owner was very sweet and super friendly. Im very satisfied with their services. This place has become my go to massage every time we back in town.

Just tried Down to Earth Thai for the first time - and it was incredible. There were two of us who booked 90 minute Thai Swedish massages as walks in mid-morning on a Friday. The staff was incredibly friendly, the space was very tranquil and very clean. There are 3 solo massage rooms and 1 couples room. The massage quality was excellent - the perfect mix of relaxing Swedish and stretchy/back cracking Thai. 10/10 recommend.

I had a great experience here. Sarah was very welcoming and she sent me up at the table knowing exactly what was wrong with me she then explained it to Irene and my experience with Irene was simply out of this world. She took her time with me and we were in tune together for about one hour and a half where she went beyond the scheduled time because she knew I needed a little bit more and I had never been in such harmony with a massage therapist ever in my life where they understood my body even more than I did to help me heal and resolve my injuries.

I came out for parents weekend to spend time with my daughter and we both wanted massages. After searching for one we both agreed we wanted to give Down to Earth a try and we both are glad we did! Magdalena and Apple we amazing! We walked out feeling great and I’m on day 2 of no heating pad Magdalena! ( I have auto immune issues that cause wide spread pain and have used a heating pad so much it caused toasted skin burns) I look forward for my next trip out to come back and get worked on again and again!

This place is amazing! I have never had a deep tissue massage this good. Im a bodybuilder and always tight. They literally use their whole body and weight to get into the muscles. I felt amazing after the 90 minute massage. Go with this company. You will be pleased.

Maily is great. She seemed educated and experienced in Thai massage, was intuitive with the body, and applied good pressure. One of the best Thai massages I’ve had. Place is very professional, cute, and clean. Will definitely be back 🙏

I came in for a massage a few weeks ago and asked for a Deep Tissue massage, letting the masseuse know I have pretty bad back pain, to which she said of course she could help with that. When I was ready for my massage, the masseuse came in and reiterated that I asked for a Deep Tissue massage and I said “yes, please focus on the knots in my back, neck, and shoulders as I am in a lot of pain”. After 30 minutes of just being rubbed down with oil, I asked the masseuse if she would be able to work on the knots in my back as I had asked for in the beginning and she said yes.By the end of my massage, she hadn’t worked on any of my knots (hadnt so much as used her thumbs or applied pressure) and just rubbed me down with oil for 60 minutes, which even that was highly unenjoyable. The movements were very rushed, she kept aggressively scratching my scalp, and she just did the same moves over and over to the point where I memorized the pattern she was following. At the end of my massage when she asked how it was, I told her I didn’t enjoy it and that she didn’t do what I asked her to, and my back was still in a lot of pain. She then had me sit facing away from her, shoved her foot in my back, and pulled my arms, till I was in pain.When I went to pay she rang me up for a CBD massage, which was more expensive, and also not what I asked for. It couldve been a misunderstanding on her part, but given she acknowledged that I said Deep Tissue twice and I asked her to work on my knots at least twice, that seems odd.The whole experience was unenjoyable, I left extremely upset, and ending up having even more back pain than when I arrived. It was so bad that I had to book another massage the next day to take care of the pain. I have since emailed them multiple times and no one will respond to me (yet they keep sending me promo emails...). Dont waste your money here, go to Mellow Massage where they actually took care of me and gave me a quality treatment.

HIGHLY recommend! First time experiencing aThai massage at this place and have already gone back multiple times. The therapists are all very strong and experienced, clean sheets, facility and fair prices. Sara is a sweetheart and very professional as are Ava and Magdalena. I always walk out of there feeling better.

This massage was incredible and different than any other massage I have experienced. Sarah is very thorough and her pressure and stretches intermittently is what I needed. Instead of feeling exhausted as I usually do after a deep tissue massage I felt relaxed with greater mobility and at the same time energized. I would totally recommend Sarah and her staff.

Sara gave me the absolute best massage of my life- and I have had many great massages! My mom had a massage from Marga and said it was also amazing! These women are tiny but STRONG! Writing this review for my husband , he had a Thai massage today that he said was the best massage he’s ever had and although slightly uncomfortable at times he felt incredible muscle relief afterwards. He had deep tissue and struggles with back pain, muscle tension and stiff muscles. He would highly recommend for anyone seeking relief when feeling uncomfortable due to tension and pain in their bodies .

I have experienced massages worldwide in my past 40 plus years and this place is by far the greatest and best place to get a massage. My massuese, Amanda, has a technique that few possess. The pressure and method she used relieved my tension and made my whole body feel very blissful and relaxed. When I came here I had back, joint, and stressful tightness along my tendons and muscles. I am grateful that I got Amanda because she gave me a Thai and Swedish style massage that I wish would never end. Just writing this review makes me want to book an appointment. Irin is amazing! My first massage in years and I will be going again regularly. Irin has a unique Thai style that combines deep tissue massage and full body stretches. Its true that this is like passive yoga! I felt so good afterwards and the effects lasted even for the next several days. Irin is gentle, courteous, cheerful, and just wonderful. After the massage, there was hot tea available! Very thoughtful. I look forward to seeing Irin again. Weekdays are the best time to go for easy parking.

I highly recommend this place for Thai Swedish combination massage. Having been an athlete for most of my life, I have significant issues with arthritis and range of motion. The therapists do a superb job of relieving aches and pains, increasing my joint mobility, and eliminating tensions and toxins in my muscles. I leave my appointments feeling great!

My chiropractor recommended a deep tissue massage to help with my upper back pain so I came here for a couples massage with my wife. Irene found all the knots in my back that had been building up for years and worked them out. My back is definitely feeling a lot better now. Ill be coming back so she can get the rest of the knots.

Let me start by saying if you walk into a place and you shoulder is locked up to the point where you mobility is limited. Your sleep has been deprived and you wake up always uncomfortable. Your Chest is like a cable your lat is locked up and its not getting any better. And when you leave 2 hours later and you literally feel like a new man. What else could I really say except go there they are absolutely amazing. Thank you for giving me back a feeling of health.
