I got a facial here and while the tech did a fine job moisturizing me, I received absolutely zero consultation or explanation of what she was doing. After 5 minutes on the table, I realized she wasn’t going to ask me any questions or say anything, so I pointed out a few problem areas. She did not do any extractions at all which was pretty much the only reason I wanted the facial. I thought pointing out places that were ripe for extraction would communicate that’s what I wanted but I left the appointment with them still intact. I guess you need to initiate your own consultation here if you have any preferences or wants beyond a standard moisturize/exfoliate routine. Definitely prefer a more communicative esthetician and will probably go elsewhere next time I’m in town.

Amazing spa and massage place! I’ve gotten both the facial and the massage. My therapists,(Ann for the first visit and Ivy for the second), was the epitome of professionalism and skill. She began our session by carefully discussing my needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized and targeted massage experience.What truly set this massage experience apart was the attention to detail. I asked for scalp/head/neck massage (usually not provided at massage places) because I have Migraines from the lack of sleep and exam stress. Her massage melted away my stress and left me feeling revitalized! They also provide free hot stones for back massage!Do yourself a favor and book an appointment – your body and mind will thank you :)

Best massage I have ever had and the atmosphere was so calming!

My husband and I have been here 3 times the past year and a half. The first 2 times were great no complaints. However this time they made us feel uncomfortable at the end when it came to tipping. Last time we went 6 months ago it was $130 for an hour couples massage. It changed to $150 (cash) which we were okay with and saved up for. Since we dont make much ans have high rent we had a few bucks to spare. They then showed us a new frame that showed suggested tips are $15-20 per person. And that if we had a good massage then we should tip that. We said we did have a good massage but we dont have an extra $30-40 to give. They gave us our few dollars back and said that its okay. It felt awkward and upsetting since I barely make $17 an hour. It took us awhile to save up $150 as a treat for ourselves and to have that amount not be not good enough was odd. It makes me not want to return 😕

Absolutely amazing massage and much needed therapy. Anne helped out my back and neck so much after a few long weeks spending too much time at a computer! I was able to get a last minute appointment pretty easily and pricing was reasonable - ESPECIALLY FOR THE QUALITY!

The massage was amazing! Ann made sure that I was comfortable throughout the massage and made sure that all the knots were gone (And I had a lot lol). Best massage I’ve ever gotten, this is definitely going to be my regular place now.

This place is amazing. It is very clean and all business. I had a 90 minute massage with Judy. She really went after the knots in my back and also the tightness in my hamstrings. I asked for a lot of pressure and she delivered. I feel like one million dollars today!

I just had the best massage of my life. My message therapist was welcoming, briefly inquired what I was hoping to focus on, and then spent the next hour finding and fixing all of my knots and tight spots. It was seriously amazing. It was not a memorized, standard massage. It was intuitive. She truly personalized the massage to what my body needed. If Im ever back in La Jolla, I will be returning. Thank you so much

This was hands down the best massage I’ve ever had. The masseuse was incredible, and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be back! After my massage, I was greeted with cucumber water and mini chocolates - bonus!

I had the best massage of my life today! by Ann!! I have multiple knots in my back and she did such an excellent job focuses on my pain points.. and the hot stones were a plus! Highly recommend this place, glad I found it - I will be a regular!

My wife and I just had the couples massage at La Vie. After the therapists left the room, my wife turned to me and said, what the hell just happened, that was the best massage I have ever had, bar none! I totally agree! The most thorough, intuitive massage I have ever had as well! Neither of us were questioned about areas of concern and yet our therapists found them and applied the correct pressure to alleviate the issues we have had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, HIGHLY! 10 STARS!!!!!My wife and I went back a couple weeks ago. Drove an hour and 15 to get there. Therapist asked if she could walk on me, and I agreed. OMG! Amazing! Once again, if you havent been here, do yourself a favor and make an appointment! These are pros! Not just employees putting in time, rubbing around to get a paycheck... pros!If your an elitist who loves atmosphere and Swedish, take your checkbook and go to one of the many overrated spas in La Jolla. If you truly want a great massage, this is the place!

Ahn and Ivy are amazing at their skill! They have helped maintain my body through massages for the last several months, and I have been very happy with the results. I have a very physically demanding job, so after each massage, I have felt so much better! I recommend this business to anyone who is looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and peaceful establishment.

Make an appointment!!! don’t think about if you want to try this massage spa, it’s more like you need to try this massage spa! Incredible energy and of course the owners are wonderful at what services they provide! My couples massage was well worth my full hour and more! I will be back! I’m a forever La Vie Massage spa customer! 5/5 stars for me!

Great experience! I dont get massages very often, but I really enjoyed the massage and the environment of the spa. Jennifer was my massage therapist and she was amazing.

What a treasured find! Each person could not have been more kind and focused on a relaxing experience. And the massage was crazy good!!!! I had parts worked on that I didnt even know were sore. The place is small, quaint, clean, and quiet. The ladies were very in touch with what I needed. This is good work for your body and your spirit.

These ladies are superb. Their price is low (50 bucks for an hour with a package) and they use solid pressure, a variety of massage techniques, and hot stones which feel incredible. Afterwards you get water and a little kit kat. They dont speak excellent english but the translation is fine.Id much rather support a small business of Korean ladies than a big business.
