Shady Gators

Atmosphere was live very crowed. Very much a meet up for drinks and food type of place. It took about 20 mins for someone to take our order. Then just the service wasn’t great. I felt like they were just writing down what we say but not actually listen in too how we want it and stuff. They kept messing up our order more than 3 times. It was 5 of us. The food was cold. Shrimp tasted tough and cold. The boil wasn’t flavorful and it was cold as well. The only thing that was good was the crab legs, but even those were cold as well. They took forever to bring out drinks. Then we had to constantly ask them to bring us things that we needed like forks to eat with and things like that. We were just fed up and ready to go. Me personally I wouldn’t not go back here. But that’s just my honest review. I feel like they could care a little more about their customers I understand people be drunk and stuff but we are human we don’t wanna eat cold food and be treated like we aren’t heard. Respectfully.

First time going there from Arkansas, awesome place great service great drinks, saw DJ Pauly d for the second time so hot! Outside think thats why he left got off the stage early didnt even say bye. however lazy Gators the other side (left) not so much extremely rude people aka security, I asked if they closed. He ignored me. Wont ever go there.

Our 4th year of seeing Casey Donahew at Shady Gators. All around, great! Food, drinks, service, and venue. You CANNOT beat the sunset view while listening to the music.

Great food, service, and wonderful atmosphere. We were on vacation to Lake Ozark and this sounded like a fun place to eat. I wish we could have heard a live band to add to the atmosphere, but it was amazing despite that.

We had our family (15 of them)down for the holiday. We were seated promptly. The food was amazing and our server Destiny was always there to make sure we had everything we needed. One of the only lake bars we have been to where we didnt have to hunt down the server. We will definitely be back. Excellence at its finest.

I went to shady gators last weekend and had the most incredible experience. I got one of the smash subs and it was probably the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. On top of the amazing food the service was just incredible. The food came out fast and our server was very attentive and kind. Recommend if you’re ever coming to the lake, we’ll be back!!

We came in with our family for an early dinner. The atmosphere was amazing! This place checked off on everything for a lovely night out. The views were breathtaking, food delicious along with the best service EVER. Our server Calleigh was so welcoming, friendly and attentive to ever person at our table. She went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with our meals while making sure our drinks were never empty…all of that with a beautiful smile!!! She made our experience all the better. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I was spending part of the week down at the lake and had heard lots about Shady Gators so we decided to give it a try! The food and atmosphere were both great. Who doesn’t want a lake view while they eat after a long day in the sun?! The cherry on top was our amazing service from our waitress Liv. She was incredibly helpful with deciding what was best on the menu and was super attentive to our requests. Her bubbly demeanor made us feel right at home! Would definitely go back!

Would always recommend Shady’s to friends and family coming down to the lake! My server Destiny was the absolute BEST! She was fast, super friendly, and recommended the best food and drinks. One of the best servers I’ve had especially at a place as busy as that. Never missed a beat and treated us amazing. She got us everything we needed and had the perfect attitude every server should have 😊

What a great atmosphere! Came down with my friends for Fourth of July weekend and had a blast. Sophia was our server and she recommended the pizza which was AMAZING!! She definitely made us feel special!! Definitely coming back :)

The All American smashmouth sub was soooo good! 3 of us shared it and all agreed it was great. We went as a family/group of 18- with several kids along. We all had a good time enjoying the pool, food and drinks for several hours. I also tried a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was good too!

Kaitlyn our server did a really good job. Gave out suggestions for drinks and foods. Was attentive but not over bearing.Also our food was absolutely delicious. Overall a really great experience and 10/10 will recommend

We went here last night and the young lady at the podium gave sigh and rolled her eyes when we told her there was 5 of us and gave attitude when I said I didnt hear her. That being said...our waitress was absolutely fantastic. The combo boil was amazing everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Gator bites were on point.

We stopped in last weekend for dinner and were greeted by the most energetic dock girl! Then our server allie knocked it out of the park. The food, drinks, and service were great. Would definitely recommend shady gators for a great time!

Went to eat at Shady’s the other day and had the Brazilian Sizzler (I think that’s what it’s called?), it was amazing and such a cool set up! My server, Jackson, recommended it - he was very well versed on the menu. Jackson was the best server I have ever had, very friendly and prompt. He was timely and always made sure my drink was full.

Love Shady Gators!!! The service is great. One of the servers, Anna, really took great care of us. It was fun to try the gator bites and my son loved the crab leg boil! Will definitely go back again!

Destiny is the best server Ive ever had at the lake! I had so much fun and she made it all the better. Great personality and great seller. She helped me pick my food and drinks and couldnt have done it without her

I had one of the best experiences at the lake with Calleigh . I came in with my son, who is very particular about his food, she accommodate to everything my son asked for. First time I wasn’t treated like a burden while having my son with me. I’d definitely recommend going shadys with your family. The pool is family friendly, which is amazing, especially at the lake. My son had the chicken tenders and fries, of course, but the surf and sizzle was amazing. But the pizza was absolutely to die for.! Definitely would recommend the buffalo chicken pizza on thin! Can’t wait to go again.

Had dinner And our waiter, Jackson did an amazing job. Kept water full and food was really good and quick. Had the crunchy Grooper fingers as an appetizer and the Godfather pizza was outstanding. Finished off with a couple rum runners.

Got some food. Prices were not that high for the quality of the food. Drinks are high priced but are strong. The place has many shaded areas you can find with tables and lounging. Wether it be chairs, sofas or chairs by the pool. Swim up pool bar was okay. Beautiful but barely deep enough to relax in the water. But the view was beautiful to watch the sunset.

I could see this being fun on the weekend, nice views, lots of space. Went on a Weds and I believe we were the only guests there. Brazilian wrap was very good, tender flavorful steak medallions. French fries seemed freezer burned, I’m sure they weren’t as they probably go through a lot of them but they didn’t taste right. The Cajun popcorn was decent but they really should include a good tartar or some other dip than ranch. Bartender was super nice but neither he or the waitress were attentive to start and the waitress really seemed annoyed to be there.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Sicilian pizza at Shady Gators, and I must say, it was a delight! The crust was perfectly crispy yet fluffy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. What made the experience even more memorable was the outstanding service from Jayla. She was not only attentive and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Jaylas attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm made my dining experience truly phenomenal. I highly recommend both the Sicilian pizza and the excellent service at Shady Gators!

We had a great meal on Sunday! The Crunchy Grouper Fingers that our waiter (Jackson) recommended were amazing. Jackson was prompt, friendly and helpful. We look forward to going back!

Great place to hang out and enjoy drinks or food by the lake.The Cajun pizza on naan bread was perfect size for 1 person and delicious.

One of my favorite gluten free pizzas at the lake!! 🔥🔥 Also, lovely views and its always a fun atmosphere. Tends to get pretty busy tho, dont necessarily expect to be in and out quickly on the weekends!

Loved our waitress, service was amazing. Except I got the crab legs and they were too salty to even eat. I have kidney stones so I asked if there was anything they could do to make it even bearable for me to eat and the cook said there was nothing they could do. So I returned more than half my meal because I couldn’t eat it.

Wow, much better!The old homes have been torn down to make way for the much improved parking lot plus some other upgrades like lighting, new turf, additional seating, etc. The place felt safe and comfortable with friendly staff serving up great drinks and some amazing pizza! My previous visits here were always very brief. Guess the ‘Shady’ vibe has been replaced with a ‘See ya soon’ vibe now. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed a great concert!

We’ve been to Shady’s 3x this summer and each time was awesome! The pizza is now our favorite and we absolutely love Amanda! Great music too!

Lakeside atmosphere and awesome service. Then there’s the food. You can’t get better Cajun in New Orleans and portions are huge so be hungry. We will be back every time we are at the lake

I went to the restaurant on a busy Saturday and had the delight of having Destiny as my server! She was very nice and gave great service! I would highly recommend this place if you love pizza!!

Had dinner and drinks with family. Taylor was our server and our service was 5 ⭐️ for sure, and we had a picky group. She was great, food was delicious and the drinks were cold.

A nice happening bar adjoining the lake with nice view, great server and fast service. Cocktails, beer and bar food were decent and fairly priced.

Our server was Taylor and she did an amazing job! She was attentive, quick to take care of all our needs and very knowledgeable on the menu and upcoming events.

We went before 8:00 p.m. The accommodation for 8 people was not bad- however the food was awful. We got loaded fries, a bbq burger, and the Cajun chicken pasta. The loaded fries came out, and an ant was crawling all over it. When the servers was told about it, she said we are outside, but shell see what she can do about it and nothing was done. I understand we are outside, but that ant was on the fries before it got to the table. They forgot the bbq on the burger, and when we asked for it, they gave us bbq in a sauce packet that was cold. Again, not life ending, but when paying 20$ for a burger, we shouldnt have to put a cold sauce packet on a warm burger. That and the brisket was very very dry. Last, certainly not least, the Cajun pasta looked very good. The chicken was moist. But the actual pasta was 70% grease. There was a pool of grease, and the flavor of it was washed away from the grease. I understand if it must be a little greasy since it is a Cajun pasta. But this was ridiculous. I literally poured it in a cup. And it was 30$ for the pasta. Overall, we spend 80$ on this meal, for subpar nasty food. We couldnt even see the lake where we were sat outside. The whole experience was bad. Definitely dont recommend going there unless youre only a few minutes from the place, and dont want to drive far.

The pizza was really good, our server Jackson was on top of things, brought us drinks in anticipation of needing another round. The band Platinum Rock Legends was great too.

The all American sub with potato salad was delicious, kids really liked the pizza, loved swimming in the pool while we waited for food.

Anna and Kaitlyn were the greatest servers. Atmosphere was great. Watching the boats and fishing was fun. Would come back many times.

Fairly nice docks, but the steps up to the restrauant are poor. This restrauant is known for its pizza and you will not be disappointed. The pizza is great. The service has always been very poor and that never seems to change.

Overall 8.2/10Awesome location on the Lake with beautiful views to enjoy some delicious food lake side. With some lake specific foods not found in most places. Multiple bars, live music, and awesome food. First day I was here I ordered the ultimate po boy. Was a huge serving and great flavor matched with their red beans and rice this was a great combo and a lot of food. The second outing I ordered the chicken deluxe sandwich although great taste didnt match the po boy and other signature dishes. The Cajun popcorn is a great starter. Recommend coming here if you are in the lake. Day time crowd is a lot more relaxed and Mellow while the night crowd is a bit more rowdy and in party mode.

We were only here briefly to check out the view which was amazing. Pool next to the lake was awesome with swim up bar. Bartenders were friendly, we were here on a Sunday afternoon with our family. It seemed that kids were welcome in the pool during the weekdays.

Service is already on point for beginning of the season. Their fish filet is simply incredible. Good food, good service, good view. Great place for locals (especially with their entertainment calendar) and visitors alike!

Ive had fun here previously, this time they said no kids under 21. Which is whatever but they should advertise this in one way or another so we dont waste our time coming. Even the staff was confused about the rule today. Call before if youre bringing anyone under 21.

We had such a great time hanging out at this beautiful pool while in town for a bachelorette weekend! Can’t say anything about the food because I didn’t try it but the drinks were reasonable and the bartender was awesome! It’s a good thing we had to go back to our room to get ready for our boat ride because we were having too much fun and I may not have made it out!

The shrimp and grits portion was shocking it was so small for a $30 dish! Noticed this all over the lake this weekend😢but tasted good.

If you love eating outside on a deck this is the place for you! Food has always been good when we eat there, huge portions.

We went here on a recommendation to try the gator bites while we were in town. They were good, but a little tougher than Id had before.The red beans and rice were just that: red beans and rice. No sauce of any kind. The jambalaya was decent as was the etouffee. (add your own hot sauce to everythig)The atmosphere was lively and very upbeat, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We got to listen to the live music from across the cove and head over between that crowd and the DJ crowd, so something for everyone.They have drinks in buckets, which were alright, but when it comes in a mini bucket, you cant go wrong.

Support the Troops Poker Run stop. We visit here often since we live at the lake. Great food and awesome staff.

Love the Legendary sweet and crunchy tenders! The fish is so good! And when you dip it into the raspberry tarter sauce it’s even better.

Chairs can’t scoot in once you sit down, the dock is horrible and provides no sort of protection for your boat, and we weren’t helped after being sat down for 30 minutes even for drinks.

State wide computer geeks like myself that works for school districts had a conference in the area and one of the vendors threw a shindig at Lazy Gators, an outdoor venue, a part of Shady Gators. That was one of the best times I had in a long time. Everyone needed to unwind after a long year and this was perfect! The staff were very accommodating and super nice. I saw the owner a couple times and he is a great person with a super sense of humor who puts in long hours according to one of the guys who works security. Hes definitely dedicated to his business! I hope we go back there next summer!

The burger was well past medium but still edible. Its a tourist trap so you kind of get what youd expect. Very country as far as music. Pretty view.

Uncle Kracker and Renee Blair concert was pretty good! Had to wait for the rain to clear up but was totally worth it! Drinks are expensive but done well!

Food was good.My sister had to clear our table after 10mins...but we clearly asked for a table at the top. Our hostess tried sitting us 2nd lvl.. we moved ourselves to an open table and cleaned it ourselves. Tried using the RR and they had three stalls open but no doors to block view. One had a shower curtain?

Had a great experience here recently, just before the real Summer Rush begins. We went in just to check out the establishment, as we hadn’t been here before. There is SO MANY places within the complex to see and experience the “Gator” environment just a bit different from another.The staff seems eager to get the Summer started, and have their routines down, the menu memorized, and the skills to give you a great experience.We specifically ordered a Seafood Nachos, which my kids, as well as I, quite enjoyed. We also wanted to try the pizza, as you can smell it cooking from many spots around the complex. The pizza did not disappoint.Give this place a try! Good people, good views, great experience!

My Bartender Teel was the best! Drinks were good. The Grouper was Amazing. He brought it out hot and fresh from the kitchen! Legit. These are a lot of mid to upper twenty somethings. Lots of girls, lots of drinking and great special events. July 2nd 2017 a crew of us are bringing in high quality sound for DJ Darude! Be there!

Shady Gators is a must if you’re at the Lake of the Ozarks. The food is amazing, you must try the Surf & Sizzle appetizer or any of the subs from the pizza menu - also the pizza!!! The pizza is some of the best on the lake. My server was amazing & attentive, the live music was also super good. I’ll definitely be coming back for that Jet sub many times this summer!!

This place was gross. They tried to put 7 of us at a small table and when we complained the hostess rolled her eyes and added a table for us. The menu smelled like disinfectant and had black mold on them. When the food finally came it was subpar and one of us had ordered pizza which didnt come till most of us were done eating. Lets just say the pizza was nasty. The waitress was the only shining star at this place. Apparently this place gets dangerous at night because as we were leaving we noticed that the sheriff department was setting up shop and the bouncers wore guns. Luckily we didnt see that before we went in cause I dont think we would have stayed.

I had never been before my oldest girls took me a few weeks ago I really enjoyed it. Beautiful view and great food as well as the atmosphere is very welcoming. Definitely will return.

We held our Client Appreciation Party at Lazy Gators recently for the Fran Campbell Team at RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks. The food was AMAZING! Everyone raved about the bar-be-que and pizza. The lake setting is the best! It could have been warmer, but JG provided heaters. We filled the space and our clients did not leave hungry :) If you havent been before...you should definitely give Shady Gators/Lazy Gators a try!

The food was excellent. 👌 We were over charged for a dish and it took a long time to get an itemized receipt. They did fix the overcharge mistake. Our waitress was great, super sweet to all the kids we had with us!

We dined here with four other couples on a Friday night before a concert at Lazy Gators. All of our food was excellent from salads and sandwiches to pizza. One individual in our party is a chef and he was blown away by how good his sandwich was.

Wasnt expecting this place to have good food, boy was I wrong, food is great!

If you don’t want to sweat for your entire stay, then be ignored when you try to call the owner about a refund, please do you and your friends a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE.We stayed in one “The Villas” for my friend’s bachelor party in August of 2023. We arrived on a Friday and went immediately to Lazy gators. When we got back to our rental that evening, we found the temperature at 81 degrees. I contacted the manager requesting that they unlock the box so that we could turn the temperature down. Instead of waiting, we got dressed and went out to get out of the heat. Once we returned that evening, it was still 80 degrees, and the vents were not blowing cold air. I contacted the manager again to let her know of the issue but did not receive a response. We attempted to sleep that evening and not let it ruin our weekend in the hopes they could fix it the next day.On Saturday morning, I contacted the manager again and let her know that the temperature was still at 78 degrees and requested that they come look at it. The cleaning lady came back and turned the A/C down again. It still was not working, so she shut it off and told us it was frozen. We already had plans that day, so we left thinking it would be fixed when we got back. When we returned that evening it was 84 degrees. We knew that the property manager had not responded to us the night before when we had contacted her that late, so we decided to just suffer through another night and contact them in the morning.After leaving that weekend, it was obvious that Shady Gator’s maintenance and management staff was not concerned with their customers’ experience. I was hoping though that another manager/owner would capitulate given our terrible experience while staying with them. Oh, how I was wrong though. Instead of handling the situation professionally, my calls were ignored. I called the property manager numerous times to see who I needed to talk to about this. she finally texted me that she was not an owner, and I would need to call JG. When I called JG, I was ignored as well, so I sent him texts explaining the situation. He finally texted me back on Thursday of the next week and told me that he was swamped the whole weekend and requested that I call him back on Monday. When I called him on Monday there was still no answer. I have not heard from him since and have come to terms with the fact that this is how they operate as a company.This is why I am here, to warn everyone of the poor quality and care that this business represents. If you are planning on staying at Lake of the Ozarks with a group of people, I urge you to take the above situation into consideration before determining who you will be booking with.

Food is fantastic!! We had po’ boys and our friends had their pizza and the fried fish with Frosted Flakes in the breading. The grounds are great! Lots of seating and interesting places to hang and things to do. I gave four stars instead of five because the facility (building) could use some work, especially the bathrooms.

Ordered a Bennett burger that tasted bland and gave me a stomachache for the rest of the day 🤢

Awesome place, went to see Dj Pauley D from Jersey Shore there and had a blast. Drinks, staff, other people attending were all great the police officers were even great. Cant say enough about this place.

Advertisement shows live entertainment. There was no live entertainment only music from someone’s playlist. There was 3 people in my party. We all ordered dinner, two people was given their food and the third waited 15+ minutes longer and still was not served their meal because it was “cooked in a different kitchen” #wontgoback

Great bar to go to on the lake. The pool side has great service at the bar and the restaurant side has good food. Parking is easy and there is plenty of boat docking for access from the lake. Armed security makes it feel safer than other places and I wasnt too concerned about the crowd as everyone looked like they were having a good time.

Attended a private event and was blown away by the atmosphere and pizza!

We rented a place from the owners of Shady Gators the first weekend of August. The place was awful. We had no AC the whole weekend and the fridge barely worked. We asked for a refund of some sort because our room was 82 degrees the whole weekend and the owner will not pick up the phone or even entertain us. Do not rent from them.

I’ve been to Shady Gators before on multiple occasions, service is usually decent, the food and drinks are pretty good, some people may complain about price but the portions are usually large. This weekend it was clearly busy with a lot of college kids, and they were training a couple new people. I arrived with just me and my boyfriend and we asked the bartender if there was a host or if we should just take a seat wherever and we were told to just take a seat and someone would be with us. We then watched a host seat multiple other groups for a total of at least 20 people while we sat and waited for menus for over 10 minutes. Finally, the server came over and saw we didn’t have menus and went and grabbed some. Her and one of the other girls had said that they were new and it was their first day and we were very understanding. We had 3 more friends join our table and she was very accommodating especially considering she was clearly overwhelmed and did not have someone with her helping her or showing her the ropes. We understood there would be wait times for food and drink and did not have a problem with it and tried to be as nice as possible because there was a lot going on and we could tell. When we asked for our checks we had to wait a while and were okay with that, but then another woman came to the table after about 15 minutes and asked if we were the table with x items on our receipts, we said no we had this, this, and this, and she proceeded to cuss at us about how it was the servers first day. I know other people may not have been very nice to the waitress but we were incredibly patient with her and never once rude and did not deserve for this other woman to curse at our table. I wish they would do a better job with helping out their employees and helping this girl take care of things without being outright rude to customers. I am still willing to go back but this was not a good experience and definitely made me wary of the management here.

One of my favorite restaurant

Tons of fun. Atmosphere was a party one for sure. There during bike week. Plenty of parking for all of us. Food was good. Hot. On time. Wait staff was on point. Price was expected for the atmosphere and what the weekend we bringing in. We sat outside for a few drinks. The music was not overly loud and we could enjoy it and hear each other too. We look forward to going back there next year.

I Love going to Shady Gators when I’m at the lake. The food is amazing and the service is even better. My family and I always go for dinner and stay for the nightlife. Overall, it’s a must visit when coming to the Lake of the Ozarks.

If you truely wanna get out and let your hair down and have a buck wild time this is the place to go!!! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and the security is always on point making sure the customers are safe to have the best time of their life hahaha.

The place is absolutely awesome. Staff is incredibly friendly. Service truly with a smile. Will definitely come back again.

First time at Shady Gators. End of season. Just started spending time at the Lake. Clint and Michelle were absolutely fantastic in answering our questions about the area and sharing their knowledge. Really appreciated.

Dance floor and love music was a good time.

Service was spectacular, the live band was awesome and we had an overall great time.

There were may 3 levels I think with plenty of seating. The view was fantastic and the wait staff were on their game!!

The cover fee last time I went was $10, and the drinks are kind of expensive, but definitely still a great place to go! There is different levels or floors available and different music on each one. I always have a great time going and its super fun!

Was there during Bike Week, Waitress could have cared less about how the kitchen was doing, Pizza Kitchen did a great job with the Gluten Free Pizza and Garlic Bread Pizza. Main Kitchen on the other hand not so much. Ordered the Jambalaya and it was the worst Ive ever had, came out of the microwave and was warm at best, and our friends had the Meatball sandwich and it was cold as well. Will not be back.

Good place to want to hang with friends or meet new people. As well as friendly crew.The bartenders are quick to get those drinks made. A place to park your boat and and come up to eat with the family or meet friends. Always a good spot to visit if you are in the area. Easy to get to with signs to direct you there easily

4 of us boated to here for some drinks and lunch on 5/26/19. Sat up on top level with great view of the lake. Had their nachos. They were good. It was our servers second day and she was super nice and did a great job. Great place to take a break if out boating around.

This place is off the chain!!! Craw fish, gator, gumboo, seafood Alfredo, even the corn bread is a foodgasm!!

Ive been here multiple times from land and water. The food is so-so. I mean I guess its fine, but if you want Cajun food dont waste your time here. Go to the strip.I guess you could show up just to drink. Either way its expensive. Great view of the lake.

Awesome place to just have a few drinks, have a nice lunch or dinner, or party if you want. I love the atmosphere and JG the owner is very nice and is willing to help you with pretty much anything you need.

Very cool vibe. A great location to have lunch out on the deck over looking the lake. Our waitress was awesome. The gator bites were delicious. The drinks were perfect. The shrimp etouffee was delightful. I highly recommend Shady Gators. We will return.

Went with my wife and had a great time. Beautiful spot on the lake, open seating so comfort may vary depending on the weather.Got the gator bites which were delicious. The only complaint is that the crawfish could have had more seasoning. They did bring me out a dish of old bay, which did the trick. Our drinks came out fast and were tasty. Def going back.

Defintely a fun place to have drinks and listen to live music.We went here Friday night as suggested by our Uber but the kitchen closed at 10 and they refused to let us order burgers at 950pm. They said we could order off the other menu, which is a pizza and sandwich menu. The sandwiches and voodoo chips were good for a late night meal.There is a $10 cover charge to get in and security guards checking bags as well as a metal detector which was appreciated to keep everyone safe.

Great food, drinks, and entertainment on the lake. At the 7mm at Toad cove. Easily accessed by land and water.

Restaurant gets 5 stars! Everything was great, until we went over to check out the part with the pool and volley ball nets and stuff. The security guards werent very nice, and kept making me pour out my water. The bar tenders on this side were not very friendly. It took a long time to buy a drink and get some water. The pool looked pretty cloudy and full of people. We were invited up to the volley ball area, there was trash everywhere. I guess they need a few more people working outside, or something. It was a really neat place and we had fun while we were there. We met one of the owners and he was awesome. He went beyond what we expected when we a question. I told him he should open on of these in st. Charles, but he doesnt plan on it.

Food was way overpriced and not good at all. Our server was good but the restaurant was very chaotic. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant if you don’t have to eat here.

Food was good...bit pricey.

Kids received cold food. They did not eat it.. Daughters entree came out at two different times. I ordered a highlighted specialty drink and it was missing an ingredient.Talked to the manager and instead of apologizing he became defensive and told us he did not want us back. I paid the full bill and tipped the waitress. Did not want freebies just good food for $30 a plate.Manager does not have to worry about us coming back.

We usually go during the week when the pool isnt crazy busy and kids can get in. Their cauliflower crust pizza is delicious! I was very skeptical about the crust but the server talked me into it and it did not disappoint! The old Shady Gators side could us some updating but Lazy Gators seems newer (pool side).

The food is ok but you’ll pay nearly $20 for a small, greasy wrap and fries; there is no beer on tap so you’ll pay $7 for a can of domestic beer; the location is terrible, at the end of HH, adjacent to houses and apartments. The wait staff is great but the good waitresses can’t make up for all the other downsides.

Was fun until I checked my bank account the next day and they charged me $100 for nothing! Was told my card was declined after buying one drink so a friend paid for it. Later realized she swiped my card 10 times charging me each time. Another friend in my group got charged $800 for an $100 tab as well. Every time I called I was told a manager would be right with me yet here I am still not hearing back:) Luckily my bank is disputing it but would use cash only if you plan on going here!

Its a very nice restaurant to eat at. Has a nice covered deck with a great view of the boats and the lake...Id like to see them have the boat races over there. You could sit, eat and drink and watch the boats race...maybe someday they will!!!

We were looking to have late dinner. I had a group of 4 people with me. Two of us are deaf. They want to charge $10 each for the live band. My girlfriend tried explaining that two of us are deaf. One of imbecile guards’ response was “doesn’t matter”. That says enough about your business ethics. It’s no wonder this business gave itself name “SHADY”. Perfectly summarized.We’re not paying $20 to feel the vibration. We the deaf people are not going to pay for the music when we can’t hear. How is that beneficial for us? This restaurant easily missed out on bigger chunks of money. Look at the BIG picture and let deaf customers in, with out a cover charge and make money back on food/bar tabs. Get with the times. But then, this is the ozarks, filled with ignorant hillbillies. Typical.

Food was surprisingly good. Good selection on the menu. Great service. Great view. Recommend for lunch if youre out on the boat, easy to dock and dine

Maybe I was expecting too much. Called beforehand to check on indoor dining due to extreme heat, confirmed inside seating with ac. Well it was pretty warm inside and smelled skanky. Food was just ok overall, catfish was great as well as gator bites. Dont see a return trip in the future for supper.

Went when not too busy, several people got sick afterwards, cant say it was food but good chance. Menu was not up to date and the food people were reaching about was not available. Atmosphere was great and when its full of people I bet this place is a blast. Unless your on the lake and partying and it is prime time, it was a little overpriced for the value and not that great. Had much better food at other restaurants. Not bad just not great

It was not good I told me server that the food I had was not fresh and that the pickles had mold on them. Really? Would u serve this rotten seafood to Mr. Prewitt?? Wow so pathetic for a $32.00 entree !!!

I would say during the summer months, this place is probably awesome. I just happened to be there in October, on a day when the high dropped 20 degrees at night and a storm blew through. There was still a lot of people, good music and lots of dancing. I am not much of a drinker but my group said they were good, the bartenders were so sweet and loved by EVERYONE. The ambiance right on the water is great, and the DJ is quite good. Definitely a fast paces, club type of place. If that isnt your thing, you might opt out of this one.

Went for a dinner was much better this time had a great server food was very good place was busy. My waitress Hope was great, she was on the ball very attentive. Made it a great time!!

Plenty of space to dock the pontoon, and lots of seating available. I got the sweet fillets off of the appetizer menu and was surprised at how much food I got! The family was happy, the server was lovely, and I highly recommend the Banana Joe and the Rum Bucket.

Our server was nice and attentive, but unfortunately the food wasn’t edible. The gumbo had no flavor, the rice in the red beans and rice was crunchy, the jambalaya was cold and mushy, cornbread was dry and hard as a rock. Of all the places we’ve eaten on vacation here, this was the only one we were very disappointed in, especially considering the prices of the meals. 😕

Wow, this place is awesome. Had great dinner there with Chicken Nachos and Sizzler, both favorites in our large party. Incredible service and the New Lazy Gators is simply one of the coolest peninsula resort type setting that I have even seen in the Midwest. The entertainment at night blew our minds with incredible rock and party band, that night. According to staff, they have incredible entertainment almost every night of the week! We definitely will be back for lunch and dinner and for some fun at the Gator.

Service was okay. The atmosphere isnt bad, but for the sake of your stomach eat somewhere else. Tried a couple of their entrées and was very disappointed. Any veggies on your food are likely undercooked or not cooked at all. The gator is tough and chewy with very little flavor. The food across the bay is tenfold better for the same price.

Was out for a Boat Ride with a couple of friends and decided to swing by Shady Gators to see a couple more. Had a Rum Runner to get things started off and finished up with a couple of Beers. The Place was rocking and everyone was happy and having a great time. I Love This Place

The sweet & crunchy salad was amazing!

Best bar and live music on the lake. Been going here since it opened years ago and love it! Definitely hit the dance floor on Friday and Saturday and go upstairs if you want a younger club scene. Food is pretty good and drink options are excellent.

Came here for a formal, and got what I expected. The houses are pretty clean, definitely you can tell its a party rental house, and the food wasnt bad. It was definitely fine for a formal though, and I guess thats all that really matters. If you are a family coming here with little ones I advise you dont come here. Go somewhere else, but if youre looking for a good time with friends and family with a bar, its not a bad atmosphere.

Our friendly, hardworking waitress named Hailey hocked us up with a comfy Cabana with a great view. We spent the afternoon by the pool and the cocktails, apps and stocked cooler of beer made for a fun girls day! The food and service was excellent! We came back for the band that evening and had a blast!

Waited 15 minutes to get waited on while 3 employees were within 10 ft of us, chatting away doing nothing. Once we did get a waitress she was very friendly and attentive. Food was mediocre and the prices are absolutely absurd. TOURIST TRAP!!

Went in for lunch, had their pizza. The Hawaiian, the chicken bacon ranch and the bourbon chicken pizza, SSOOO good. Must try the pizzas. I will be back for some more.

The hangout spot at the lake for Fridays and Saturdays. Multilevel bar right on the water with its own pool venue. Live bands on Friday and Saturday nights and a live DJ playing music on the top level.

Expensive mediocre food. Étouffée tasted like rotten fish. I apologize to the waitress that the manager didn’t comp our meal and she ended up with $6 tip bc that is what they comped us for a $22 meal. Gumbo and red beans and rice were cold. Chicken Nachos are pretty good. If you want to go spend $80 for lunch for 2 adults (w/ 3 alcoholic drinks) & 2 kids this is the place to be.

Service and music was great but food was overpriced and not a lot of flavor in the grab boil. Crab legs were good and had the most flavor out of everything in the boil. No one wears a mask which I feel should be required during the pandemic.

Descent establishment. Walked up on a Sunday and they had a $20 cover charge. Cash only. Who brings cash to a swimming pool !?!?!?!?Bartender was a cool dood at the pool. Good rum buckets.

WOW................ what a place. Easy to describe I definitely recommend going great food great atmosphere and great times. You could get there by land or water either one its still good and fun. Come with an appetite or come thirsty when you eventually leave youll be happy

A whole lot of fun! A band on one side of the bar and a DJ on the other. Theres something for everyone looking to have a good time here. My drink wasnt the greatest but overall a great place.

We go to Shady Gators every time we are at the lake. It is by far the BEST place to go during the day with or without your kids. There is a fantastic view of the lake and no matter how hot it is, the high-powered fans over the tables will keep you cool. The wait staff and bartenders are always super helpful and kind. As far as bar food goes, Shady Gators is well above par! We have liked everything we have been served.If you like Rum Runners, look no further. Hands down, SG has the most fantastic Rum Runner you will ever have!Our kids love throwing their extra fries over the railing to the massive catfish that live between the dock and the bar.Jeremy (JG) is truly a bar owner that pours his heart and soul into his business. He takes pride in his establishment and it shows. We, as his customers, really appreciate it.Shady Gators rocks!

Hands down the best place on the lake to see a concert. Staff are always friendly, helpful and joke around with customers. And they continue to bring in amazing bands.

This was a nice little restaurant on the Lake. Me and a bunch of my girlfriends stopped there when we were down on a late trip one weekend for just an appetizer and drink. The waitress seem to be very put off that we werent actually ordering meals and didnt seem to tend to us after she realize we were only ordering appetizers and drinks but the restaurant itself seem to be very cute and maybe next time if we order meals we will be treated better LOL.😕

First time here. I was very disappointed because they couldnt serve cajun food for some reason and were out of other things as well. I really wanted jambalaya, but they said they didnt have any. Kind of odd for a restaurant claiming to serve cajun food. The food we did get was very good. The gator bites and the bucket drink were very good. The service was very good as well. Overall it was a little pricey for what we got. Has a nice view of the lake.
