Great place & good pricesCash is king here, but heres what to expect:The massage is skilled, the pressure will be what you ask for, but the flow is erratic. The front desk is precise and to the point which can seem rude to some people, but theyre simply there giving information and coordinating services. Theyre required to give offers on entry. If you dont know what you want before you go in its very helpful, if not it can seem pushy to some people. Know the culture, money upfront. Tip after with cash, if available. It helps to give front desk a $5 bill as soon as you enter. Youll make friends real fast and get great service. If you know youre getting services days ahead of time, I strongly recommend stopping by at least the day before and purchasing the membership. It pays for itself and allows you to tip more with the savings you get.
DO NOT COME HEREWe have a family of 5 peopleThe 2 staff did for my parents so mean, they yell and shushed at my parents when my parents were speaking. After all, 5 of us are not happy since they did the massage so softly. Still, we were kind and gave them each 20% tip. but they came out and swarmed us, asking for 40% tip instead…Plus, they advertised $88 for 2 person but when we come it becomes $68 for 1 person for 1 hour massageAbsolutely horrible. Do NOT come here if you don’t want to be disrespected.
STAR SPA is very deceiving! DONT TRUSTTHEM!!!They use Unethical Marketing Practices:1. False Advertising2. Hidden Fees3. Bait & Switch4. Manipulative Pricing***with the above practices, Im sure they useFAKE positive reviews and testimonials to misleadcustomers!TIMELINE OF EVENTS:Saw their add onlineIt says, Couples Massage $88Couples Massage:60 min Body Massage- for 2 peoplePrivate VIP roomHot Stone included***This add is also right outside their doorWe walked in:1. Noticed their prices were different2. The lady said, Its $88 per person.3. We said, Ok4. The lady, then lays out face masks & eyemasks and said choose a face mask and aneye mask (We thought it was included withthe service)5. We picked the face mask and eye mask6. Then she showed us a flyer and asked if wewanted to ADD CBD oil for $12, we declined.7. Payment: The lady asked how we wanted topay. We said, card. Then she asked if wehad cash! $88 couple massage.. not true/ member only. $140 a couple.. I specifically asked for a female, waited 25 minutes for a woman. I was put in room where a man started massaging me. He beat the living daylights out of me. He was pushing the air right out of me.. my feet 😳 I was in tears.. hurt me badly. I took pictures of the bottom of my feet/ so black & blue, I have been limping for 2 days. Terrible place. I recommend reading their reviews before spending $1.. out of 8 massage chairs / 1 works. The place is very run down/ pictures are deceiving!! I question if the people doing massage are even licensed.. I had many massages.. never experienced anything like this before. Be Cautious.. I wish I could share pictures of my bruises 😢
So, my husband and I are tourists, and I read many reviews of this place before we visited. We still took the chance and just left moments ago. The majority of the reviews were spot on. The lady at the desk was friendly but recommended several times for an upsell. Since I read the reviews, I was prepared, but she took a hint only after my 2nd firm no. I also confirmed and reconfirmed the cost and requested a receipt, again having read the reviews where the language barrier resulted in confusion of price. We were under the impression that the couples massage was $88. Then the lady said only if we were members, so we ended up paying $68 each which was still reasonable in our opinion. The environment was clean and wait short. I did read where there werent separate rooms, and one can hear the outside talk of other patrons. This is true, but once patrons settled, it was quiet again. The actual massages were great for both my husband and I. Great pressure and very relaxing. At the end, both therapists waited around and asked for tips. We were inclined to, but I had just read several reviews that spoke of tipping $20 each, and they were still ungrateful. We found this to be true. We then declined to tip, and they followed us outside. My husband took the liberty to go back inside and speak to the lady at the counter to explain that they were getting poor reviews for this very behavior. While the massage was great, we were anticipating the behaviors described here and were able to manage our expectations. It was good for the price and no bother to us since we wont be back to Vegas anytime soon!
Our experience was fine until the end of our massage when the therapists had the nerve to asked for more than the $20 tip we gave to each of them. Be aware that they will try to hustle you for more money. JUST RUDE!
Worst experience, they sent a marketing piece on pricing and then when you arrive if you’re not a member they up the charges. They then spend 5 min trying to get you as a memeber. My massage was horrible. I got a 90 min massage and probably had only 45 min of actual massage which wasn’t good. The lady had her phone on her and kept answering text messages and leaving the room. To top it off they try to pressure you at the end to tip much higher then 20%. I get a lot of massages and the spa right next door on Durango and Spring Mountain is 1000% times better! I wish I could give no stars!
I’m not exaggerating when I say it is the worst massage I’ve had in my life. The masseuse simply seemed like they had no idea what they were doing and had never massaged another person before. They completely lacked any technical skills, and I actually decided to finish early and walk out because I couldn’t take it anymore. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable for your face. There’s also no private rooms, the spaces are separated by fabric in between so you hear every conversation around you. Not a relaxing experience AT ALL.Keep looking for a different place
We was there last week and had bad massages ever, they walk on your back for half hour. and massages is sucked. and demand for $20 tips for each massage 💆♀️ who asked for tip, Rude
Very nice place with great service. My wife and I got the couples combo package. Better to make a reservation. It came with 60 min private jacuzzi room and 90 min massage. Both were incredible and highly recommended. They do require a one time membership for around 20$ but you get a discount on prices and they are worth repeat visits so not worried about it. Tip well and they definitely take care of you. The wife and I both tipped 40$ each as we did have a long service.
My wife paid online for the membership and booked an appointment for a couples massage for $78. When we arrived they said we didnt have a membership and had to pay, my wife showed her she paid and the woman argued because the online system is different than hers. Then they tell us its not $78, its $98 per person and I actually have to pay $108 because Im not a member. So I paid $20 to get my own membership, thinking well come back again. So the $98 per person couples package is for 60min in a private room, and 60min massage. We watched the couple before us leave the private room and no one ever went in and cleaned between customers, but the woman who escorted us into the room demanded a tip for cleaning, then told us to be done in 45 minutes even thoughwe were supposed to have 60. We get undressed and decided to go into the sauna first, it was cold. I said I guess well go into the hot tub while the sauna warms up. The Hot Tub was dirty, there were broken tiles in the hot tub, the floors were dirty, the doors on the cabinet were broken and falling off the hinges, when the sauna did warm up it smelt like mildew and mold. We ended up leaving the room after 30 because it was so dirty I didnt want to stay in there longer. The massage was actually amazing and worth what we paid, up until we were leaving and didnt even make it out of the massage room before they stopped us and demanded a tip. I tipped each masseuse $15 and they gave us dirty looks and walked away complaining, even though we just paid $200 for the package.
The service is great. But when done, they follow you not letting you leave until you give them a tip. And not $5 $10 it has to be more than $30 I know the tip is expected but what if you just have enough money for the service and a little for a tip. The economy sucks, right now. And when your in a budget because of rent and bills but your body hurts for working all them hours And to be forced to give a big tip, is ridiculous.
I have been going to Star for years now. I will not be going back. Lets start with the upcharges that they do not tell you about until you say yes. And if you say no they get pushy. Also, the price you see online is only IF you are a VIP member. Do not pay the $15 for a face mask or eye mask that you can get at Walmart for under $5. I opted for the 90 minute massage. They do not actually massage for 90 minutes, 30 of it is spent getting the towels positioned just right, getting hot stones and water for your feet. After the massage you are met outside your room only to be accosted by the massage therapist for a tip. I tipped 25% and was told to give more. I processed to tell them I did not have any more cash (not that I planned on giving more). They then said to go swipe my card. You do not get to tell me what I am to tip you. Needless to say I do not plan on going back nor will I recommend this place to everyone.
Been a loyal customer/member for years dating all the way back to the Bali Foot Spa location on Spring Mountain. Still one of my favorite places in the whole city , but the last few times I’ve been I’ve been turned off by the pressure of the upsell of CBD oil, hot tub session, etc. and if I go back up there and my masseuse begs me for more than the very adequate $20 tip that I offer, I’m never going back…
Everything was going fine. My husband and I paid for 2 hours service (60 mins massage and 50 mins jacuzzi and sauna). We started with the massage it was noisy, we can hear phones going off, employees asking other customers if their massage was okay, we could hear multiple conversations. While we are getting dressed my husband’s massage therapist kept insisting on getting at least $20 tip, we weren’t even fully dressed and our service was not even finished. She kept insisting, other employees came and apologized and tried to take us to the next service the jacuzzi but totally messed up the experience. Off course we were planning to tip but at the end of our service, not while we are getting dressed and still have an hours left of our the service we paid for. They lost 2 customers. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!THEY FALSE ADVERTISE $88 couple massage. MORE LIKE $88 PER PERSON. They need to advertise correctly! I under stand tips are given as a gratitude WHEN IT IS A GOOD SERVICE BUT TO ALMOST FORCE SOMEONE TO GIVE YOU A $20 TIP EVEN AFTER YOU DID NOT LIKE THE SERVICE IT IS CRAZY! As my man and we’re walking to the front the two massage therapist came running yelling behind us “ tip, tip you tip $20 each of us for the service!PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Tried the steam room and jacuzzi with my husband. They didnt clean this facility in awhile. The jacuzzi seemed clean enough but the bubbles were violent and did not have a massage quality. Very cheap. There was trash on the ground (used paper towels, champagne corks, use water bottles). And the red couch in there was stained and disgusting. At least clean the tiles in the shower and steam room. Would not have stayed at all but they make u pay first. I shouldve known that was a red flag. Plus the lady that brought us back used her foot to open the steam door. She didnt even want to touch it lol
Shame shame shame Very disappointed, scheduled a couples massages for my husband, his cousin, the wife and myself, checked in and they had us sit down. Then an Asian lady walks in wanting a massage. They take the Asian lady in and made us wait 20 mins for our scheduled appointment. Very unethical if you ask me, What’s the purpose of appointments if this lady just walks in and they take her in ahead of us. When I confronted the receptionist with “what’s the purpose of appointments, she stated “she the Asian lady had booked an appointment with that specific massage therapist” what a coincidence, right! I don’t know if I will come back as no respect is given to your valuable time as a customer.
So I went back to give a 2nd chance. This guy was worse. Very light pressure, again have to leave to get stones, water and this time, wet towels. Worse I paid for 90min. I was in my car at 11:11. That tells me I might of got 50min of massage. So done with this place. Waste of money, gas & my time
Worst massage ever !!!! Today I paid a 90 minute massage(which was more like a 20 minute massage) and it was one of the worst massage ever, the”massage therapist “ kept leaving the room while doing my massage, she was on her phone and would stop massaging me not sure if to reply to text Messages or to take pictures of me 😡😡she never massage my lower back and then she came with a bucket full of water and put my feet in it 😣and then she got some towels and starting cleaning my legs ( when she had not put anything on them ) then she still has the nerve to ask me for a tip of $15 or more !!’ Worst place ever don’t ever come here waste of time and money !! And yes I will be getting a lawyer to sued this place they should not be taking pictures of the clients with. Out permission 😡😡😡😡
Never again! Ive gone to this place a few times and always regret it after so this is half my own fault. The place is dirty, the towels laid down are always wet, the service is awful. They are always trying to upsell you and if you dont buy in the service is no good theyll have you waiting forever. The tipping policy is wild! 20% of a $48 massage is $10 no? I was yelled at saying I needed to tip $20?!? Harassed or I cant leave?! If the massage itself was at least good id keep my mouth shut but even that is no good. Anytime they hit a kink they immediately move to a different location. Im finally through with this place.
This place was aweful. They advertised an 88 dollar couples massage, I took my husband for his birthday and they ruined his birthday. I ordered the couple massage which they would not give us the special they charged 147.00 per person. I also did the sauna /jacuzzi room. There was no attendant and they demanded a 40.00 tip for the sauna. They said tip is not optional but required. Which I left my customary 20.00. Then we get to massage and I had asked for a lady message tech they sent in 2 guys that argued with us and kept putting there hands on my husband, who I thought was going to hit one of them but he didnt. They finally bring in a woman for his massage.then massages for 30 minutes, I guess we were in there massage for an hour but half the time massage arguing about the tech. Then when it was over I felt they didnt deserve a tip but husband gave 20.00 each anyway, the techs then blocked the evil and asked for more money. This place is a joke and should be shut down. The sauna was chipping and dirty. The robes were wet.
Needs to work on cleaning the massage rooms better. Looking through the cutout where your face goes was very dirty on the floor and looked like it had never been cleaned. I still like going there and even like the fact they always badger me for more services and cbd products. I take it all in good fun.
I came here today for a couples massage with my boyfriend because they’re advertising a 60 minute couples massage for $88. This was my second time here. Angela at the front desk told us our total would be $112 because my boyfriend would be getting the member rate ($44) and I would be getting the nonmember rate ($68). We asked to sign me up for the membership since it’s only $20 a year and she told us we have to pay $132 because my membership wouldn’t apply until I came back. I told her that I could leave and come back in 10 minutes and she told me “it doesn’t work like that. You’ll have to come back tomorrow”. I have never heard of such a thing in my life. After some back and forth she agreed to give us the member rate plus the membership which would be $108, only if we paid cash. But because we didn’t have cash she charged us $116. The massage was supposed to be in a “VIP room” but we were put in a room with beds separated by curtains. I could hear the staff talking loudly amongst themselves in the lobby. The massage was mediocre at best. I’ve never had a massage therapist with such rough hand skin. My boyfriend didn’t know he left his keys at the front desk so he went back into the room to look for them just to go back to the front desk and see that Angela put them behind the counter. We tipped each person $15, and that was already generous for how bad this experience was, yet they had the audacity to ask for more. We will never come back here again. I’ve attached a photos of “Angela” because I don’t think that’s really her name.
I would have read the reviews before, bad service. When you enter you say hello and the lady at the counter doesnt even say hello to you, I was looking at the types of massages they had and she turns around and rudely asks me, are you going to want a massage or not because the person who is going to give it to you is already leaving? I said sorry, Im looking at which one Im going to choose, at the end the person who gives you the massage tells you that you have to tip $20 or more, the truth is Im not going to come back, Im sorry.
I tried this place three different times before deciding to warn people about it. I was hoping the experiences would get better as I visited but instead I’ve had two bad experiences in a row and one mediocre experience. The staff at the desk is often pushy about upgrading services. You can add six different services at the desk and they will STILL attempt to up sell something else. I mean, it’s a business and I understand that but I don’t want high pressure negotiations along with my relaxing spa day. Let’s not forget that the massage therapists, each time have been pretty lackluster luster with their massages…. The first one was okay, second one was great BUT the massage room had a curtain and it was lobby adjacent so there was a pretty consistent amount of nearby conversations. During my massage o had to ask her to turn her ringer off so I could relax because her phone kept dinging. I shouldn’t have to request that of your staff, no matter how cheap the massage. Lastly, my final massage (I will NOT be going back) was a couples massage with my sister who is visiting. I was embarrassed to have brought her by the end of our experience. The front desk was pushier than usual, the room we got a massage in wasn’t very private (large room with big screens that have partially see through wicker), they were loudly talking off and on during our massage AND the woman who provided my service gave me a back rub similar to my kitten making biscuits on my back. When I tipped $20 for BOTH massages, she insisted that i added more… i basically told her the service sucked and she very clearly did nit like that so she gestured to the other woman and began speaking to her directly, so we left. At the front desk i tried to explain how my massage wasnt very good and was told that i should have come to the front desk and told them…. While getting my massage???Save yourself the cash…. Visit somewhere else. This place SUCKS and the staff is not great. Last, the facilities need MASSIVE cleaning work.
My friends and I came in for a bridal party and during the massage the therapists gave no privacy when needing to switch positions. The males therapists groped my friends and then massaged their lower bodies and got very personal with my friends backsides. Then when trying to leave the employees would not let my friends leave unless they gave a 20 dollar tip each. Unprofessional, pushy, and rude.
I think we all know by looking at the comments weve shared the same experience of the begging Saigon 304s.... demanding a $25 dollar tip for a $48 massage that wasnt worth it is one thing but trying to swipe the money out of my hand is crazy. Terrible experience. And the Manager/front desk lady didnt even bat an eye at their actions.
Best Massage Ever! It feels like they are preparing you to meet our creater! Lol😅 It so good and relaxing! Salute to Pella who did my massage! Extra extra tip is not an issue post massage!🫡🫡🫡 Salute!
The massage was ok. The staff was rude. We have been twice. The below happened the first time and we thought we would give it another try and it happened again. We will never go back!I leave a 20% tip wherever I go but to be strong armed to leave a 30% tip when you’re about to leave is not right. The massage therapist follows you demands a bigger tip stands in front of you as you are trying to walk out. This is not right!
The massage is not good at all and the older lady keep pointing at the menu and ask for more tips. So rude and unprofessional. Never come back here. I wish i could give 0 star
Chose this place based on reviews and signs all over saying it was $48 for a 90 min VIP combo massage. Confirmed price on the phone and made an appt. Upon arrival they inform me it’s a $20 yearly membership fee to get that price. UGH. I hate a bait and switch, but was too tired to leave. The massage itself was great, high quality and a well trained masseuse. The room was place was very clean. The bed is a little uncomfy as it doesn’t really support your head, so face down my neck kept pushing into the bed.And the other massage people were very chatty in the break room nearby so it wasn’t a very quiet place.
This place was ratchet and should be shut down! This was the floor under wear your head pillow is while face down. This is what you stare at the entire time youre getting massaged. A pile of drool, gum and sticky grossness. The massage was more like having someone rub suntan lotion on you with zero pressure. The lady at the front desk was horrible. They bother you about add ons and whatever they can to get you to pay more. You must pay in full before your massage begins! (History of complaints Im guessing) after the rub down they follow your every move asking you for a tip. They insist you pay cash or your CC is being charged again. I tipped only bc I felt so bad for the two ladies on how they were being treated by the lady at the front desk. If you have any standards or a weak stomach Id avoid this place. The health dept really should be involved.
DONT GO.Average massage but they didn’t tell us the $88 couple massage was only for members so it was double. Then, at the end, they required a $20 tip per person. They literally wouldn’t let us leave and followed us to the door because we tipped $5 less than their expectations (had already tipped over 20%), so we had to sit and wait while they ran my card again for the rest of the tip. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in my life
Unclear pricing to deceive customers.Make sure you have a minimum of $20 tip because they will hung you and prohibit you from leaving as if you stolen from them.
Probably the worst massage I have ever gotten was here at this place, Star Foot Spa! My wife & I which is pregnant decided to go here for a massage on our anniversary. They had no idea how to massage her being pregnant & the man that gave me a MASSAGE was so ruff on my back & neck. I left feeling like I had bruised ribs & a stiff neck. This place is not credible.
Been here several times, no complaints. Well, just one — not a fan of their hot tubs. Massages have always been pretty good. However, today’s service was just horrible. Our masseuses were Sue and Michelle. Not only were the massages rushed but they seemed like amateurs (in my opinion). We basically paid for a good oil rub down. The lady upfront was nice and my husband and I got a real good laugh comparing whose masseuse was worse but we’re members now so…..that’s that, lol.
First…..the shop is pretty run down. Second…..the “specials” are member pricing. My husband and I chose this place because of the special they were supposedly running for $68. It was - in fact - $88 each. So an extra $40 off the bat. The massages were pretty good. No complaints there. But….the massage ladies INSIST on a certain amount for a tip and even follow you until they get it. We offered a $30 tip…..considering that we already got shook down for $40 more in “non member pricing”. It was NOT enough per the ladies. We ended up giving $20 more. All in all…….just pay more and go to a nicer place. There are no deals here.
I made a reservation before hand. They didnt keep it. Waited for an eternity. Us and the the couple ahead of us left without any service. They wouldnt refund us. This business might legitimately be a scam.
Great value even for non members. 1hr full body with cbd oil $80+tip . Great massage with hotstones. Hard to find better rates than that.
UNSCRUPULOUS business practices!!! These shiesters gave a Groupon for couple massages. I got to the establishment and the receptionist told me it for one person. Absolutely despicable marketing. Couples mean two people and it didnt not say anywhere per person. You are a lousy establishment and your business should suffer for dishonesty!
Kelvin and Milkah at the front desk were SOOOO personable, welcoming, and kind. From the moment we walked in we were RELAXED! The massage themselves were good, I’ve been getting massages for 10 years and I’d say they were in my top 5 experiences. It includes free hot stones. The ambiance was very calming and relaxing. I can’t wait to come again and do a WHOLE spa day. We just happened to stumble upon this gem after going to mimosas gourmet and I’m so happy we did this was a highlight of our trip
Dont be fooled by their marketing campaign for $44 for couples. It is $44 each, provided you sign up for membership. Their membership is $20 each but lasts a lifetime. Once you get past that, the experience is pretty good. Each girl has her own technique, and youre likely to get a different girl every time. The massages are thorough, and theyll concentrate on your problem areas. Some will ignore your specific needs to do the cookie cutter massage theyve been trained to do. Overall, it is hit and miss but Im pretty satisfied.
I decided to try out this place because I have had a few friends go here and said it was decent. I went in for a 90 minute massage. Instead the lady up front charged me for the spa room (which I didn’t want and barely used) and a 60 minute massage. She didn’t give me a receipt (shame on me for not asking) Then proceeded to tell me that I needed to tip for the spa room which is different from who was doing the massage. When I went up front after my massage and realized it was only 60 minutes, there was another lady who I explained what had happened and just said oh sorry. I will never go back there again. They play dumb when in reality they took me for $64 spa room. I’ve learned my lesson.
This place is HUGE and both the decor and atmosphere inside are great. We had a 90 minute combo couples massage, which includes everything from your scalp to your toes.On the positive side, we both came out feeling really relaxed and the guys who massaged us were strong and skilled. Even the next day I still felt a lot looser and more able to move, even after flying home.On the negative side, their communication left a little to be desired. Theyd get up and walk away without telling us, leaving us wondering if they were coming back and when the guy massaged my face, it was obvious he was a smoker so I didnt enjoy the stale smoke smell being rubbed all over my face. They also suggest a $15 tip per person and got very upset when I didnt leave quite that much because I didnt have as much change as I thought I had.Overall though, I would recommend them and we will certainly visit again if we ever head back to Vegas.
Prices have increased, the front desk have 0 customer service skills. I called and reserved two 90 minute massages a couple days before my appointment . Once I came in to check in they said they can only do 1 massage and only for 60 minutes. I was confused because if I make a reservation days in advance it should be a guarantee I will have someone to fulfill both my appointments. She poorly explained that if I make a reservation it’s my responsibility to call to make sure they have time for me. How does that make sense?! Poor management all around for increased pricing
Loved our massage therapists, Sunny and Deima! Super sweet ladies and did a great job! The jacuzzi before the massages was really awesome! Love this place, we even got a membership!
Never again! We came in joined the membership. Nice at counter. Then after couples massage…They demand a TIP of certain amount or more! We did the couples 60 min massage and surely it wasn’t 60 min they walked out of room to get the hot rocks and it took several minutes. When we were done they were waiting outside our room with their hand out. We went to tip and she said “no it needs to be $25 each” we will never use them again. Very unprofessional and intimidating NEVER AGAIN!
Staff was rude to me and my wife , aggressive masseuses obligating we pay the tip they want to receive! jacuzzi was set to hot for our 45 min stay . Overall very unsatisfactory experience. I would not recommend this location ! Visiting from Southern California wont be back
The jacuzzi, sauna/shower and the 90 min massage is the way to go. Excellent Job!
Zero stars. Place went down hill fast. 1 hr massage 48$ mediocre massage at best and then massage therapist demands $20-25 tip. Gave 15 and they tried to reach for the 20 I had in my hand before I quickly put it in my pocket and karate chopped my way out of there as they tried to block me in. Scary massage therapists! Youll need Kung foo skills to get a massage here.. no joke!Their line up down below in pic
88 dollar couples special was $136, only $88 after you buy a membership. They advertised a couples massage and 45 mins in private jacuzzi for $88.00. $136 for the couples massage and extra $65.00 for the jacuzzi. The massage was the worst Ive ever had. Had to tell her to stop pushing so hard 4 times. She didnt speak English. Then when we were done. We gave a $10 tip witch I thought was to much and they pointed at a brochure because they couldnt speak English. The brochure said $15-$20 tip per person per hour! I left only giving the $10. They followed me out to my car, both speaking English then, saying wheres my tip. Dont waste your money. F..k that place and f..k those people.
I made an appointment for two of us in advance and when we arrived the lady at the front desk had a bad attitude and told us that we would have to wait 30 minutes or even longer. We wouldve waited but her customer service skills were non existence. She just didnt care or why didnt she let us know in advance? I have a membership there but was treated as if she didnt need our business.I will never go there again nor will my friends.
‼️‼️DO NOT COME HERE‼️‼️READ THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!Husband and I just left. We hadnt been here since before covid. Im extremely disappointed with this place, I will never return. All of the reviews that say they demand a certain tip amount is true. I gave each masseuse $12 cash but they demanded at least $20 each and said if I didnt have enough cash I could pay with a card. I mustve looked confused because I was. I was confused as to why she was demanding us to tip more. So then she gets one of the brochures that they have at the front desk and points to where it says that a $15-$20 tip is recommended for a one hour massage. I actually was confused at this point because again it says RECOMMENDED not required. Ok so for starters I am not cheap. I tip very well especially when I feel like it was earned. I even tip when the service isnt very good. Thats why I tipped $12 because although the service was not good I still wanted to leave something. But then when they demanded $20 I got mad because I dont feel that they deserved that much. Not only that, they were they still holding onto the cash while demanding a $20 tip on my card. So I said fine to giving them their $20 each that they demanded just to get out of there but I asked for the cash back first. She gave it back to me but she made it clear that she was pissed that I didnt let them keep that on top of the $40. She handed the cash back to me very aggressively like almost slammed it in my hand so it was obvious she got mad.And the reason I feel like she didnt deserve that much is because the massage was not good. I read a review that described her massage as the kind one would get from a tired spouse. That was spot on. I told my husband afterwards that I rub lotion on myself harder than what she was doing. My husband said that his masseuse was light handed as well. So neither of them earned that $20 that they each got but whatever. I will never go here again. I dont normally wish misfortune onto anyone but this was beyond unprofessional and such a bad experience and based on the reviews this has been going on for quite a while. Ill be surprised if they dont go out of business.
I’ve been going for years because of an amazing therapist, which is gone now…Please DO not tip through front desk or tip when they send you a text about your service. The therapist DONT ever get that extra $5 tip. The front desk girl is absolutely disgusting with her disrespectful attitude. They raised the membership fee n didn’t tell me when I got there. The floors were absolutely dirty and they reused the towels, they were wet n not folded properly, I requested new ones. The front desk was arguing with one of the therapist I couldn’t enjoy my massage. I will NEVER step one foot at Star Spa ever again…I go 2 the one next door by Villa Pizza The BX Lee. Amazing therapist, great prices, clean, super quiet. Mia n Anna were wonderful.
Ill start with the one positive experience which was the massage. However, that was at the end of over 2 hours of waiting to get it. We made an appointment and were told when we got there that they did not guarantee the time only that we would get a massage. We were offered a discounted sauna and hot tub experience while we waited. Then we still waited another 45 minutes to even into the room with just a hot tub and no working shower. Needless to say what was supposed to be an hour and half ended up taking more than 3 hours. Also, we were asked leave a tip for the cleaning of the whirlpool and then again for a $15 tip for each masseuse. They followed us out even though we explained that we would leave a tip but needed to get some change. Would not go back.
The lady giving my massage kept checking her phone. And yet theres a tip minimum of $15 which the shop manager makes you pay. She did not deserve the minimum and even had the nerve to ask me for more.
6/22 edit: Changed from 5 stars to 3 stars. We have been several times. Sometimes its amazing... sometimes its not. TIP: You will get better service on a weekday when theyre not slammed. Every time weve gone during the week its fantastic. Also - just tip them $20. Youre still spending WAY less than you would at any other spa.------Finally went today after I saw an honest review on TikTok and I loved it. My husband and I got the $48 VIP 90min body/foot massage. We booked our appointment for two and were in the same room. The massage was great! I was very relaxed and felt comfortable. We tipped them each for $25. I felt that when you pay for the service, the $20 membership fee, and the tip….it’s worth it and is still so much cheaper than other places. We plan on going again for sure.
Just had the worst experience.. this place used to be amazing and now I’m so upset and can’t believe I just spent that much for the worst massage I’ve ever had.. while I was on my stomach she was on her phone half the time and over half the massage she just pushed on me over the towel and the rest felt rushed and like the first time she had ever massages anyone . The sauna and jacuzzi they sell you on is such a joke , the jacuzzi was Luke warm and lots of things were dirty and needed to be fixed. I honestly wish I would’ve gone anywhere else. DONT GO HERE
I Do Day Spa’s!!! Every city I go to, I visit one!! This one I actually come too Twice!! I have to try a place more than once before I leave a review!! I love the relaxation elements they have incorporated into this spa setting!! Couples Hot Tub Time, Sauna access together before your amazing massage!! Lucky for me I had the same therapist on both visits, his name was Mike and Mike was the Goat!! It’s really hard to impress me because I myself am a Massage Therapist, I also own/operate a Day Spa and I’m very serious about my personal care time!! On the very first visit we were offered a couples special for $94 and we“Purchased a membership” on our second visit we were told that we didn’t get the membership and the clerk wanted to charge us full price. Lucky for us they send you text messages about your membership when you purchase it so once we showed her our text messages, she adjusted our rates, she did right by us we were a group of 10 people who made (2) visits to this same location!! And the service was Amazing both times!! I will be back when I’m in Vegas again!!! I highly encourage Anyone to give this Spa a try!! Do it for your mind, body, and soul 😉
5 stars for the massages, alwaysBut 3 star for this review because the front lady took $5 of my tip and gave my masseuse $15 tip but he was supposed to get a $20 tip. She said it was for “spa use.” She cheated the masseuse out of his $20 tip. I always tip $20. And a tip is my choice on how to spend. So sad to steal someone else tip.Owners need to be aware of this. Cheating front desk people. I always refer here and have been going since old location on Spring Mt but I may never return after this membership expires due to yesterdays sneaky behavior.
Me and hubbys little off the strip spa escape when we go to Vegas. The private spa rooms are nice, and we love that we get to hang out in them together rather than the usual gender separate experience at most spas. Especially great massages.
This was the worst place I’ve been I don’t know if these other reviews are written by the company or real people. They over charged me would not give my money back. They gave us dirty robes no flip flops. They had us sit and wait over 30mins with no clothes on to get our massage we paid for a hour massage we were rushed out the jacuzzi after 15 -20mins of being in there when we paid for a hour of that as well. The massage therapist I don’t even think were licensed. They were very rude and will not recommend their services. We were also over charged and the prices are not what they advertised be very aware of that when booking. Myself and my lady friend left with our backs hurting worse than what it was before going to place…. Stay far away from this place
DO NOT COME HERE!!! Extremely loud staff during the massage, took 30 min to check in for my scheduled appointment, my massage therapist left multiple times to get hot stones, water etc but was gone for multiple minutes each time and my 90 minute massage was only 80-82 minutes. At the end when I went to tip $15 on a $48 service the massage therapist made me tip $20 for a short and honestly unpleasant massage. I would have gladly tipped for an actual 90 min massage and had I been informed I had to tip $20 prior to the massage. I Will NOT ever be returning to this location.
We came the day after our wedding because we saw amazing reviews on YouTube of this place. And they told us the prices were for members only. So the prices werent what they advertised. Then our price was $176 and I paid with 2 $100 bills and she only gave me $20 back and said she didnt have change to give me my $4. No big deal went ahead and got a 90 min massage and the couple next to us went back at least 20mim before we did and we finished at the same time. Then rrlight after the massage they asked for a tip which was fine . So I gave each of them $10 and she told me that the tips were to be $20. The massages were rushed. I will never go back there again when we come to Vegas
This place is not client friendly....my friend and I went in for a 90 minute session that was supposed to be a 60 min message and a 30 min reflexology session. We entered the doors of the spa at noon and didnt get our message started until close to 12:30 by the time we got everything situated. We were both dressing to leave at 1:37pm...that is not 90 min. of service. Then we were shunned into a $25 dollar tip each in which they said they had it posted that that was the required tip amount for a 90min. session this was not stated before our message as we may have gone somewhere else...I love to tip well but I do not like being told what I have to tip. The total price for both of us was $202 with the tip. Now this is not a bad price if you get 90 minutes but we did not receive 90 min worth of service. I only gave 1star because the message itself was a good message but the rest of the experience was horrible
I wasnt aware that a certain amount of tip was mandatory. Regardless, the massage lady demanded $20 tip, and then followed by insulting me and making a comment about my body size and how she had to work harder. I loved this place prior to this incident. The lady I would usually get was super nice and was out on this particular day. They gave me this random lady that ended up body shaming me because of a tip misunderstanding.Definitely never coming back. What bother me the most was the manager didnt say anything to this lady when she insulted me infront of her.
Worst. Massage. Ever. I typically dont leave reviews for businesses because they arent paying me to be their consultant. But when this awful spa hit me up three times to leave a review, I couldnt hold back:The massage was probably the worst Ive ever received. I thought, for a brief moment, that I was on a prank comedy show. I have doubts that the person giving the massage knew what they were doing. It was the kind of massage one receives from an incredibly tired spouse. The pressure was weak. The skill level was low. I came in with a sore back and hips, and I left with a sore back, sore hips, and covered in a sticky film that smelled of cigarettes. If I meet someone I dont like, I will recommend your spa to them. One star.
My husband and I enjoyed our massages and therapists very much. However, we had a 2:30 appointment and still had to wait 45 minutes before being called back. Then when we were called we were then asked to have a seat again so that a room could be found for us. That was another 6 min of waiting. It was also extremely warm in the lobby area. We were hoping the back area was cooler and it was but not much. Lastly, I’m not a fan of being told what I am to tip. I like to tip according to service. And although the therapists were good they kept disappearing for 5 minutes at a time. They did that 3 times which basically shaved off 15 of our 90 minute massage. So with that in mind, My husband and I went to tip each therapist $10 and they said $15 was required! The sign in the lobby says a recommended tip can range from $10-$20 per hour. Recommended does NOT mean GUARANTEED!!
Horrible service pushy up sale begging for tip when they didn’t do they job felt really uncomfortable the lady went through my bag looking for money
I have been here twice so far and I have to say that the massages are phenomenal. Tip well because these prices are a Steal for the quality of talent & amount time you get. My therapist practically reassembled my body lol. So he was very firm which I appreciate. If you want lighter pressure make sure that is clear.I also had a Vitamin C facial & my skin just Glowed & felt amazing. I recommend!
Horrible!!! Im here today on my birthday and the place was awful! The spa and sauna was not clean! The jacuzzi had dirt and hair around the tub! The towels and robes was not clean, they smelled of mildew!Massage was not all that either! They false advertise their prices! And they tried to convince me to spend more money! I felt so rushed and put out after my massage ,I was rushed to get dressed and leave! I could barely finish getting dressed without being rushed! They stalk you to pay a tip after you already spent hundreds of dollars! Please dont be fooled by the cheap prices save your money! Do not come here! They ruined my birthday
Theres a hard push to upsell services and memberships, so either be prepared to say no, or have enough money to say yes. That said, it was definitely worth it. The full body massage seemed to be a mixture of massage types with the right amount of pressure on my trouble spots.
Not soothing at all. Paid $60 for a body and “foot massage”. The lady said it included the foot bath. I did not receive a foot bath. Only the massage. When I told the lady she didn’t even apologize for the lack of service and the massage man still demanded a tip. Then they laughed at the tip and wanted $20. Terrible customer service they do not care about you. They just want your money.
Ive been here a few times but today was very awful, the massage was not good and the lady begged me for a tip down the hallway . And when I gave her $10 she asked for $5more . Ill never come here again. The masseuse I had was old tired and look like she should be enjoying
The massage was nice. My husband and I prepaid for a Couple massage service for our wedding anniversary. When we showed up the receptionist/manager Angela, if that’s her real name/position instantly started up selling us and would not quit. We finally gave in simply because we just wanted the conversation to be over and our service to start. Once our service was over, I went to the bathroom, came out the bathroom and ended up almost in a argument about how much they wanted to be tipped. We thought we tipped them more than enough and very very fairly. The woman said but it was a long service. First of all our 60 min massage was not long, secondly we paid you for the service, you did not do us a favor and on top of the upsell that we paid for after not really wanting it was really annoying. And now you aren’t grateful about the $40 tip we left for a hour service. Please!
This place seemed a little sketchy at first , however my mind was changed very quickly. The most convenient place I’ve been for a massage, the staff is professional, & prices are beyond reasonable. A great place to relax or bring a friend. My mom loves coming here whenever she visits .Update 3/26/2022: The demand for tip must be a newer practice. However, I’ve never had someone demand a tip from me & also expect me to pay before I receive a service. You should never EVER demand a tip from someone it’s completely optional.
Worst place Ever. Still waiting for my refund. Traveled to Vegas from NY for my birthday. Booked massage 3 weeks in advance. Service sucked.. Masseuse had no clue what he was doing...spoke NO English. Advised him several times he was hurting me. He walked out halfway through the massage and never came back. Jim the manager wont return my calls after he said my refund would be on my card in 48 hours...its been 3 weeks
I took my mom here today for a massage for her birthday. First off, I booked 2 60 minute massages online. We came in today and Angela tried to upsell me. When I told her repeatedly I didn’t want that, she charged me for that anyway and said it was a deal. During the massage, I told them no feet and they did it anyway. Then they demanded a tip and waited there at the desk until he got his tip money. Then I said use the extra amount that i was overcharged for the tip and they could not figure that out. Sadly, I will not be coming here or recommend anyone to come here anymore.
Worse place to be 1.creepy guy walking around. 2.Massage wasn’t the best. At the end I’m going to tip them $10 each(we had a couple massage) than she literally look at the stack of money I have and take another $20 from my hand and say you have a lot of money you should tip more. Spend more money and go get professional massage.
The massage was OK, I kinda felt like I was just getting a lot of elbows in my back. The guy doing my massage left a lot in the beginning but it felt good and slightly made me relaxed. All in all the massage was good. What happened after made me upset and honestly makes me not want to come back. They sent a enforcer to wait out of the room and try to force me to tip. Immediately as I left he goes ok for the tip is it cash or a card. I wasnt too upset at this point and thought Ima tip and gave them 20$. Then the employee demanded more and tried to say its in the commercial that tips at a certain price is required I laughed and asked where it is at on paper. The enforcer guy kept saying you got to and I politely tried to explain to him what a tip means. Tips are for excellent service and you cant demand how much you want. Guy turned his back to me and attempted to get louder and I just laughed at him and walked away. So yeah if you want to get bullied come here. Just stay strong kings and queens and dont give more if you dont want to.
Dont make an appointment online. The massage is guaranteed but not for the actual time you make it for. They require a tip if you purchase the jacuzzi option. If you choose to tip the massage therapist, tip what YOU want. They actually have the audacity to tell you how much they want for their tip. Other than that, the massages are great.
The massage and therapists were good. This review is unfortunately for the miscommunication and misleading of the front desk staff. I called a day before about the massages for my husband and I. I specifically stated that I’d like the couples massage and I wanted to add a foot massage. I was quoted $136 ($68 per person) for the massage is exactly what she said. When we have arrived, they said that the $94 was only for one person and I would need to sign up for the membership to get that price. So they added additional $40 for us to sign up for the membership. I also asked if I could add a foot massage, the lady said it was all included in the massage. They quickly rushed us into everything. In the end, we did not receive a foot massage like I requested and paid double the price. While asking for a tip, they forced us to tip more than requested.. Which is okay, because the massage therapists were kind and the massage was relaxing so we can be thankful for that. I am upset that I feel tricked and conned into the pricing of the massage. I will not be returning to this place.
I have been here twice. Once 2 years ago, and last Friday. Alex was the one who gave me my massage last Friday. He was very polite and gave me clear instructions and let me know what I could expect. He also asked me if the pressure was okay throughout the massage. I felt very comfortable and satisfied. I completely recommend him.On another note, front desk staff were short, did not make eye contact, and did not acknowledge me even though I was standing at the counter. They definitely did not make me feel welcome. They were both on their cell phones instead.Just a heads up, there’s no actual rooms, stations are separated by curtains. It was not a problem for me, but might be for some.I will not give up on this place yet. As long as Alex continues to give me great massages, I will come back.
There is a hard push to upgrade and purchase a $98/= package. We said no about 4 to 5 times before they backed off. Booked a 90min massage, we arrived exactly at noon. Took about 10 mins to pay sign paperwork etc. Then we were asked to wait sitting on massage chairs. After about 5 mins we were asked to go in and sit on a couch. Another 5 mins. Then finally into the massage area. Changed and got on the bed at about 12.30pm. During the massage we were left several times for at least 5 mins at a time. We were done and clothed at 1.37. Then I handed a 20 and she told me for 90mins its minimum $25/person. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk. They called the massage tech. and were having a heated conversation with the massage technician in Chinese. There were at least 4 other guests there. We were done with the totally unprofessional and rude way this whole thing was handled and just left. Making us leave with an awful taste in our mouth.
I had a horrible experience here and I will not be coming back and I’ll be sure to tell everyone else I know not to as well and I know many people in the entertainment industry all over town so the word will get out. I just wanted a foot massage and I had a free gift certificate for one and the guy at the front desk told me it would only take $20 off a service so I paid $30 when I came in expecting to get a free foot massage so he asked if I wanted a full body and foot massage for the same price and I of course said yes and the massage was just ok and the therapist went extremely hard when I told him to be soft twice and I’m very sore today. After the massage I gave the guy a 20% tip but he insisted I pay him $20 for the tip and stood there and watched me as I paid for the tip on my card and it felt forced against my will it was incredibly unprofessional and upsetting. I ended up paying $50 of my hard earned money as a broke college student when I expected to get a free foot massage and of course tip. If I could turn back time I would’ve walked out of there without tipping but I felt extremely obligated and borderline threatened to tip I left feeling so angry and distraught.
Pros: Appointment setting was easy and same day availability. Price was reasonable. Place was clean.Cons: Rooms were dark when first getting in there to undress. The awful feeling of lotion just being slopped on you and rubbed. Same goes with the warm towels.Big Con: Being told how much the tip WILL be when leaving. I tip on my experience, and having the employee tell me its $20 no matter how I feel is Bullshyte! I understand that its a cheaper price but holy cow, Im still in shock!!
The massage was average. The worst part is that they followed me out to basically hover over my shoulder to demand a $20 tip. Not only that, I called in to make an appointment, and they explained that they gave my appointment away to a walk-in because they weren’t sure I was going to show up. So I ended up waiting for them to finish first.
The foot reflexology wasgood. However, I was quoted one price on the phone and 10 more at time of service. They also tried to sell me a membership, even though I told them I was out of town. The icing on the cake was when after giving them a sizeable tip they demanded a larger tip and harassed us. When we refused we were told to go to another spa next time. The experience was not worth it.
I went here once for a massage, and I was talked into getting the membership... fine. Because I bought the membership I thought it would be a great idea to get a manicure. I was in the area, and the website says walk ins are welcomed. I waited patiently to be acknowledged, and when I finally was acknowledged, the women behind the desk was dismissive and unwilling to help. She said appointments were required, and when I tried to make an appointment she said I couldnt. When I asked if their was a nail technician she refused to check. Very disappointing.
The massage itself was great. But my problem is I was put in the first room with a curtain for a door. Did not feel private at all. I was also able to hear everyone talking outside the room. Someone with heels kept clacking by. I tipped $10 for the massage but felt the atmosphere wasnt adequate. She then kept asking for more money. I explained to the front desk but she didnt even apologize or try to make up for my unsatisfactory experience.
Went here with my wife and what a disappointment. Firstly they were very forceful trying to get us to pay for the couples Jacuzzi special and would not take no for an answer. Sorry but there is no way Im getting into THAT water. They the lady spent a while trying to sign me up for the VIP membership, $20/person...Ummm, this is my first time here, ask me after the massage? Then she charged me $100. After paying I looked at the window and saw a $79 (+-) deal and asked why I was not charged that, to which she replied, you were, but i also added on 1 VIP membership. I will not go back and advise you not to. Also, the 1 hour massage was 50 min. and we were not late.
Terrible customer service. front desk was rude and unhelpful regarding memberships and services, ended up walking out without a massage bought for my birthday. if i could give 0 stars i would. highly would not recommend, take your money elsewhere, not worth the hassle.
Sauna and Jacuzzi area Absolutely Disgusting! Made us wait almost a hour to be serviced for massages after booking.. My massage was okay but afterwards, they were standing in my face and everyone at the front was demanding a tip. 1/10 NEVER AGAIN.
My boyfriend and I got the $48 special for 90 minutes. It was such a lovely experience. The atmosphere is so peaceful and it smelled wonderful!!! I’d like to know what fragrance they use. The two men that did our massages were so good. The man who did mine was gentle how I asked and the man who did my boyfriend’s was very strong. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will be coming here every time we come to Vegas.
I do not recommend this place. First you choose a price online and when you get there it is not that price you have to pay $20 extra for a membership or pay a higher amount. During the massage I was telling the girl not to press on one place of my arm since I have a birth control and if they press hard there it hurts and she keep doing, I didn’t got mad because I understand that maybe she didnt understand because the language but then when we finish I did got angry because they were forcing us to give more tips, according to them they only work for tips. I dont think it is like that, but if it is, it is very bad for both, workers and clients too who after relaxing go through a hard time like this. Also before starting the massage I wanted to go to the bathroom and she went to knock on the door hurrying me and then when I came back my friend also wanted to go and they acted that it seemed it bothered them(restroom is nasty and only one for everybody)Not professional at all
Been here a few times and overall its fine. Expect front desk not to be too friendly. Also they play a bit of bait and switch. Prices you see online are not the prices when you enter. They say those are member prices. Also tipping is really not optional. The person providing the service will follow and stand by the register. I had a 48 dollar massage and tipped 10 dollars. I thought 20 percent was the norm. Then she told me something (could not understand) and the person at the front desk pointed to a sign that tipping for 90 minutes should be 15 dollars.Im sure my experience happens everywhere but just wish they were a little nicer and not so pushy.
This is my go to massage place.. you cant beat the value as a member!! Just gotta find the right masseuse fit for you (Ive found that they each have different styles). Once you have 1 or 2 people that you like, book with them and you dont risk getting someone that does it too hard or too soft.. we all like it differently! I also love the new medical aesthetics they offer.. botox here I come!! 😅As for the reviews about tipping and language barrier issues, welcome to Vegas! Ive been to many Asian spas and they all operate in this manner. Because the pricing is sooo discounted, it is normal to tip on the regular price (no different than using coupons at restaurants). Bottom line, you come here because youre cheap (like me) and youre attracted by the cheap pricing.. why have expectations that youre gonna get a $250 Wynn spa experience (or even a $150 Massage Envy experience). If you want a slow, attentive, English speaking, perfect massage with therapists that dont chase you to ask for more tip when you drop $5 or $10 for their 90 minutes.. then simply dont come here to begin with... haha.. common sense! However, my cheap self loves it here!
Unfortunately, I wouldnt recommend this place for the management. If youre looking for an inexpensive massage that is overall okay, then sure. But if you want a great overall experience, this isnt the place. I went after making a booking and when I arrived they said they didnt have a female therapist and I had to wait 20 minutes. Whats the point of booking in advance and specifying the gender if they couldnt have someone. They could have also called to let me know so that I could make arrangements since I needed to leave on time for another appointment. The front desk was pretty unhelpful, and the owner was as well since all he wanted to say was that there were great reviews. Sure, I dont want to penalize the therapists but the place needs to be better run. The massages are given in areas divided by curtains, so that I heard all the grunts from the neighbor as well. When you place your face in the hole for face down, I was looking at dirt and hair on the floor. Youre not on a massage table but a wooden platform. The therapist doesnt speak English so theyll do their thing, but if youre looking for an overall ambiance of a relaxing massage this isnt the place. But if you want a cheap massage then this is the place. Its better than nothing.
Had a massage and facial from Tonya today. She is very skilled in both which is rare. My body feels great and my skin looks super nice. I hope she stays for a long time and I hope the spa takes good care of her.
It’s our Anniversary and opted for spa , facial and massage. First thing is massage is worst and room is lot of broken music noise. I told massager about the noise but she didn’t understand. Me and my wife both didn’t liked the massage. Secondly massager is demanding the tip and she hold my hand until I tip her. I was in robe from spa and my wallet is in spa room. Spa room : biggest disaster. Super hot water in jacuzzi and sauna room is dripping hot water on us. I really like the facial.Remember you will get charge a lot and demanding tips for all services separately.
Really enjoyed the massage and atmosphere. Was a little disappointed to find out price advertise for couples massage was for members. Not a big deal. What got me was afterwards when I tried to give the masseuse a 20% tip and I was told that wasnt good enough! I was also told the masseuse only works for tips. What kind of place is this..is this even legal. Are these people not getting paid! I think I need to contact my friends at the labor board and report!! A costumer should never be expected to provide a tip.. especially 40%!!! Outrageous!!!
The service was not bad, but the admin management needs to improve. The price is not as stated online, which I get that strategy to get people in the door. I dont think its best practice. In addition, they offer oils while you are mid massage and inform you that there will be extra charge. I easily paid $60 more for comparable service that is much closer to home.
Went with my girlfriends and the massage was actually very enjoyable and relaxing...unfortunately what was not so enjoyable afterwards was when we tipped %20, they looked at us like we just gave them a lousy dollar instead and were insulted. They actually came out and said we need $20 each for tip. Didnt you like the service? Then proceeded to speak to each other in their language (blasting us cheap Americans Im sure.) There were 4 of us girls and their massage therapists did the same to them so clearly his happens often. It was so rude and off putting that we will not be returning anytime soon. I wish we had read the reviews sooner as I see the tip requesting is a common theme. NO thanks!
Had a pleasant experience. My boyfriend and I did the 90 minute couples combo massage in the VIP room for our anniversary. It was very relaxing and could tell that our therapists new what they were doing. My guy even stood on my back which was different for me, but surprisingly very nice. My back can get very tight and sore and it was a great way to get deep into my tissue. I got the membership so we will definitely be back. Maybe even try their facial service. One con I could say was that the water they had for my feet to soak in was very hot at first. I let the lady know and when she felt it, she said it was hot but neither of our people went to get different water or at least get cup of cold water to cool it down. I couldnt soak my feet until maybe 15 minutes before they took the bucket away to start massaging my feet. It was still a nice soaking when I got to finally put my feet in, but would have been nicer if I could have the whole time. I could tell they wanted to get started so we could get our moneys worth (which we definitely did), but maybe in the future have a cup of cold water with the bucket of water just case in the water it too hot for the customer.Over all a very relaxing, professional atmosphere. I tippef more than I planned on because it turned out better than expected.
We’ve been clients since they were in Chinatown. Were it not for the awesome masseuses that work there we wouldn’t go back-the management ruins it. If you get vip for discounts, all people have to have vip when you try to use your special so plan on forking out at least $20 more than you planned on.Our last trip my wife booked and was up sold at the fro t desk to get the spa added. Very high pressure about the tipping situation. We were trying to enjoy the spa and started noticing how dirty it was: paint runs, hair dye on the sink, hair, dirty fingerprints, dirty bathrooms. When we were to get transferred to outlet massage the front lady again mentioned the cleaning tip- I told her I wasn’t tipping because it was dirty. She pished me and stormed off.We tipped the masseuses when we left and it sounded like they said something snarky as we walked away.I was goi g to show the manager the pics of the sauna when we left, but she was arguing with a guy at the front desk about the vip thing.
We had a 1:30 appointment, arrived 15 minutes early and waited. At 1:30, one of the staff lead us to a room and told us to take off our clothes and lye down. Next thing you know it was half hour later, no masseuses and no one came in to check on us. We got dressed and checked with receptionist at 2:10, she said someone would be with us soon. Waited total of 55 minutes in the massage room and decided to leave. What a waste of our time. We got our refund but nothing extra. Very unprofessional.
Ive been here before last year several times. The service is still AMAZING service and my massage therapist Anthony was so kind and actually asked me what pressure u would like & was just so professional. I got the VIP 90 minute massage & Im definitely coming back more of often especially since I renewed.t membership which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting. Staff is very kind and welcoming. Loved everything & my back feels so much better! Thank you so much!!
I was a massage therapist and esthetician for 17 years so I have a unique position to provide a professional reviewThe facility was very clean, the receptionist were very friendly and helpful. The temperature was perfect for getting any type of massage or facial services. The decor was absolutely beautiful. And you have a choice of male or female therapist.NOTE: Call ahead or go online to book your appointment.Appointment slots fill up fast and I can see why. While on Vacation My Husband and I decide to get a massage as a way to relax. (Mark) was my therapist and (Keven) was my husbands therapist.. They both did a professional and high quality job.The only complaint we had was the noise from all the loud talking that came from the other therapist who were not assigned customers during the time we were there and that made relaxing difficult. These therapist are trained and should know while they are not performing a service that they should be quite as to respect the other therapist and customers who are giving and receiving a service. So is the only reason I gave this place a (3) star rating.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience. Our therapists were very thorough and we both felt amazing afterwards. Not like your traditional full body massage, which wasn’t a bad thing just different. They left a few times during the service which was confusing/awkward at the time, but they just left to empty the water from the foot soak, grab hot towels and hot stones. It would have been nice of them to communicate what they were doing when they left. The ladies made us feel comfortable and we enjoyed our first time there.
I usually don’t review places but this place definitely deserved a negative one. I will not go back again. The person that was assigned to be was very very rough. I told him less pressure but it felt like he was going even harder on purpose. On top of that he was sick and sneezed at least 8 times during the massage. I paid for 90 minutes and received only and hour. After I was done I gave him a 10$ tip and looked at me confused. He wanted me to give him 20$. I have never been that embarrassed in my life. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. Trust me. I would like to end on a beautiful not though. They have beautiful aesthetic and theme.
I have been a “member” for 6 years. I came in with my partner for a couples massage which I made an appointment for the day before and they refused to give me the couples price unless he showed a text from them on his phone too! He is a member but left his phone at home. They kept insisting on a 90 min massage that is not what we wanted or scheduled. It was so frustrating and they were so rude!!! Very disappointing
This was a gift but my sister brought to my attention that they were advertising couple massages for $76 but when she made appointment that was for members only. False advertising! It was $50 each. I got an older women who barley spoke English. I told her more than once to concentrate on my neck & shoulders, don’t massage my knees & had surgery on my foot, don’t pull my joints. Which the other person had to translate more than once. Throughout the whole massage they were talking to one another in their language, totally rude. Then they disappeared for a few minutes. I thought they were done but as I got up they came in and continued with the other side. It wasn’t till they came back that they told us that. What really got me was that we were giving them 20% tip which both ladies wanted more. They said they worked hard on us, they demanded more money 40% tip. I will contact better business department tomorrow. I can understand if the experience was exceptional but it was not. Do not recommend this place to even my worst enemy.
This place had horrible customer service. Last time I went I paid for a membership, therefore 60 min massages are $40 for me. Also, each time I go I always pay $8 extra for the CBD oil. Once I arrived I told the rep at the desk I wanted a 60 min massage. She kept advertising other packages and I kept declining, each time I declined she rolled her eyes, as if it was a problem. She asked me to pay up front, and I’ve been coming to this establishment for years, and have never paid upfront. It’s sad they treat BLACK people this way. I will no longer be spending my hard earned money with them. They’re very ungrateful. The total of my massage was $48, and I tipped more than 15%. A 15% tip would’ve been $7.20, and I tipped the masseuse $10. He didn’t even say thank you. He kept counting the tip as if the amount would magically change, didn’t even say thank you, and asked for another $5-$10 for his tip. This is the 2nd time I’ve gone there this has happened. The first time I thought it was just that specific masseuse, but last time I had a female , and this time is was a male masseuse. I asked to speak to the manager and she obviously is incompetent and doesn’t listen, because she responded saying it was just a “suggestion” and sometimes they request that type of tip for a 90 min massage. I explained to her ONCE AGAIN, it was only a $40 60 min massage. I will never go this establishment again. There’s another massage place in the plaza right before the Arby’s plaza that has the star foot spa, I’ll try them next time. Also I had to tell the male masseuse SEVERAL times I didn’t need my butt massaged, he kept trying to still massage it, and I’ve never in my life had a masseuse straddle me, while I laid on my stomach while he massaged me. I had to tell him to get off me and stand up to massage me; because of the harassment, unprofessionalism, and lack of empathy from the manager I will be going to Fox 8 news about my experience.
Me and my wife always go to this place for years to get a massage. The way they hassle you for a tip is unprofessional
Ive been to alot of different massages. It could of been Better. They had us in the sauna and it wasnttoo hygienic. They should of have robes and slippers for us to kake our time there better. The floor were dirty. . One thing that i like was they had massage chairs for those who were waiting to be serve..
My back and neck have been hurting for the past week because of all the manual labor I do during work. Ive never had a massage before, but this place had good reviews and discounts if you became a member. Inside the Spa is beautiful and even more gorgeous when they lead you in the back to be worked on. I had a male therapist and felt very comfortable with him. He check on me every so often to make sure he wasnt being too hard and was very professional when giving me a full body massage.I will definitely be back in a couple weeks
THE TIP REVIEWS ARE REAL!I was Completely humiliated by the staff chasing me to register as I was running my card for an additional tip once the massage was over as I only had limited cash on hand they followed me flashing the cash I had given demanding I needed to give them more tip with ungrateful body language. The lady said honey you need to leave more tip slapping the money around. I gave a total of $30 we treated ourselves and splurged on a massage. People were staring at me as the lady continued to complain. I was frozen in place felt I was being held hostage. Being harassed by staff is unexceptional behavior and Completely unprofessional. We didnt get a complete 90 min massage we were in 60 mins and they spent more time getting rocks and water we were left a couple of times for several mins. Also, last night I began to get sharp cramping pain on the left side of my neck from the base of my head to the top of my shoulder blade and my left forearm cramps on and off.I can barely turn my head my neck is in such pain and no i didnt go in with this pain I came out with it have been on and off ice since yesterday. This may required a doctors appt if I can get relief. We paid for 2 memberships that will never be used again a possible doc bill and alot of anxiety of being completely embarrassed by the staffs behavior that left me upset and stressed out after the session. They were left over a 20% tip for less service than what was purchased and atrocious service from the therapist who didnt deserve any tip based on their actions and services.
Don’t go to this dump! They don’t explain their services properly or give their prices properly nor can they massage properly. They don’t deserve a star. Had tried to give them $5 tip but demanded $25 instead. FYI! Tips are given as extra because we appreciate the services you gave us, not because you are entitled for it. Next time be appreciative when someone gives you even a single dollar tip, cuz we have the option of giving you none.As what’s with the forced membership, huh? Why do I need to pay extra $20 of a membership basically forced onto me when I’m never coming back here?
This place was not good! The masseuse, Sandy, was not professional. She was suggesting a $8 CBD oil when I kept telling her to use the oil she thinks is best and I don’t want to pay. The massage was subpar. Her shoes were clunking around. There was no music. I could hear other massages. She kept asking me questions and when she wasn’t asking me questions (when I should have been relaxing) she was answering her phone and on the phone! The massage wasn’t good, if it was I would’ve tipped her more. After she tried to pressure me into giving her a high tip, I tried giving $10 even $20 just to be nice but she kept asking for more and more. I gave her $25 just to make her stop. I would have gave her a quality tip had she provided quality work. Don’t go to this place if you don’t want to be out $100. 0/5 bad quality.
Myself & my friend from LV decided to try this place. They left my friend in a COMPLETELY BLACK DARK room, and didn’t even instruct her what to do (undress etc). The language barrier is difficult to deal with. The massages were ok. However, as I see in other reviews, their tipping etiquette is terrible. We both tipped our therapist each $15 which is 30%. My guy said thank you. Her guy demanded she go back to her car and get more money. Really ungrateful and unprofessional.
I got similar to Samantha’s experience at this spa. The only difference was, I had female therapist. She keep disappearing during massage for few minutes. Massage was $48, so I gave her $10 tip which is more than 20%. My therapist demanded $20 tip. Yes, I should have said no, but I was with my family and I didn’t want to cause scene.I was recommended this spa that they give good massages and walk ins welcome. I am going to let them know about my experience. Maybe it was better before. I know for sure I am not coming back.
The massages were good but should have listened to the previous reviews. We purchased a 90 minute massage and were skimped 20 minutes. We said we wanted to do a 15 dollar tip (per masseuse) despite the time cut. I was shocked when they asked for at least $20! I will never be back, and hope to never experience such unprofessional, awkward, behavior elsewhere.
First off the rooms arent private and you really cant relax when throughout the entire massage you hear workers talking loud in the facility! Second the therapist Lucy is a good therapist but does not treat your time as valuable. She kept leaving the room and staying out for 10 mins at a time and wasted about a half hour of my time and had the audacity to cheat me out of my time. Now I know tipping is important so if I didnt feel like my time was wasted she would have gotten one but the fact that you tell me what I should tip you is a definite no no.... Never again in a city thats full of places like this SMH
The entire encounter was horrible from the beginning to the end. We paid for a massage combo which include a spa pedicure. The massage was horrible, painful and sloppy. This woman man handled me like I was a piece of meat being tenderized. She slapped the oil on me. There was nothing about this message that was enjoyable. She left one of my breast exposed and just walked out of the room. In and out of the room several times while giving a massage? When did a paint bucket become a spa pedicure?!?!? As they were rushing us to get dressed, they opened the curtain requesting a tip while blocking the way out. Even though we didn’t get good service nor the service that we paid for, they were given $5 each. Then they told us that they wanted a $20 tip. I told them that they were out of their mind and pushed my way out of the room. This was not only horrible service, horrible customer service and false advertisement but entrapment to get a tip that you wanted! I’m filling a complaint against this business on every level!!!
Not the best experience. Aside from the un relaxing massage, we get cheated from the 90 minutes that we avail, from the frequent preparation of their things to use which they need to get fr somewhere else and the worst is their masseuse would force you to tip them and would name their price while youre at the front desk paying your bills. Felt like I wont be able to leave if I dont heed fr their set price. Very UNCOMFORTABLE Management should relinquish this practice. Its bad for your business.
Overall my experience today was decent. This was my second time receiving a service so I kind of knew what you expect. Although today my therapist not sure what his name was left the massage room several times to go out and clear his throat and blow his nose which I could clearly hear and completely through off the relaxation. He also became very rough near the end of my session to the point where I was cringing because it hurt. I understand deep tissue hurts but this was really bad. I also understand that being that a service was provided a tip is usually expected. Well leaving the foot spa I handed the gentleman his tip and so thank you. He nodded his head and turned around and I started to walk out then I hear his voice and he says this not enough. We have minimum tip required. I didnt want to create a scene so I gave him the additional amount to bring it to the so-called minimum but the more I think about it the more I should have stood up and said no. He kept leaving the room he was very rough and it wasnt even the full 90 minutes that I paid for. Nowhere in this establishment is there a posted sign that says theres a minimum amount required for tips. Unfortunately its going to take me awhile to get over this and I probably will have to find a new place because as a service provider myself I have never even thought about asking a client for more money or a higher tip.
I just got a 90 minute massage today with Michelle. She was amazing and this was probably the best massage I’ve ever had. I usually get them every 2 weeks but then I moved to Vegas and COVID happened, needless to say it had been 6 months since I had one. I was a newby to Star foot spa and she made me feel right at home even though I made a few mistakes.#1 wear a face mask upon arriving#2 lay between the two towels not under the brown bed coveringMy massage: It started with no contact compression which was just what I needed from my yoga practice, moved into a Swedish style massage, followed by hot stone, flipped over, foot soak, face/head massage, Swedish on arms and legs combined with stretching and finally foot reflex and calves. Absolutely incredible. The atmosphere: May be uncomfortable for some people. Personally I loved it, it reminded me of being in a courtyard. It is one giant room, however the individual “rooms” are pergolas surrounded by bamboo with dividing screens and pull curtains leading in and out. Each room has 2 beds I’m assuming for couples massages. There was no stranger next to me or anything like that. I’m comfortable with that set up but I know some might not be. I loved the hanging lanterns and instrumental music. This place was also very clean which is a must in my book!Setting an appointment: This was super easy, I called in same day, told them my preferred time and they worked with me to get me in 30 minutes after my requested time. I would definitely recommend calling in advance.Pricing: Very competitive prices my 90 minute massage was $76 that included my $20 yearly membership which entitles me to a $56 90 minute massages. The $20 is worth the future savings to me. The is a sign in the lobby that explains gratuity and suggests $10-$20 for a 60 minute service. Some people don’t like this I find this perfectly acceptable because some people aren’t sure what to tip. I tipped beyond that but like I said Michelle was amazing and I left feeling better than I have in months.I made an appointment for this coming Saturday with Michelle and cannot wait to go back for a couples massage!
The massage experience was awkward and unprofessional. When we were taken to our room, no instructions were given to us. We had to wait for our masseurs, which took some time out of our appointment, before we explained to them that we were first time customers. Once the massage was finished, we were taken to the front lobby area and asked for tip. When we provided our tip, the masseurs demanded more for their tip in front of other employees as well as customers. It was an embarrassing experience and it made us feel very uncomfortable. We tipped more than 20 percent on our bill and they still demanded more. Extremely unprofessional and would not recommend anyone to go to this place.
I bought this Groupon for its low price for a couples massage. Do not let the price be your guide for these. You get what you pay for. The receptionist was not the most welcoming. We quickly learned that the appointments are more of a guideline than a true appointment as multiple other patrons who had appointments at 11 were told to wait over an hour for someone to be available to see them. Thankfully we got there early. After waiting over 20 minutes we were taken back to get our massage. The massage therapist spoke in very broken English and didn’t introduce herself or ask about any injuries or problem areas, something that had been common with every other massage I have gotten. We had also both requested male massage therapists, which was not the case. It seems their appointment scheduling took online is not accurate in any way. The massage itself was uncomfortable. We were not able to relax much. The speed was too fast and the pressure was not there or not enough, making it feel like we were just getting lotion spread on us for an hour and a half. We asked for more pressure in certain areas, but the language barrier must have been too much because our requests didn’t change anything. For the foot massage portion, they utilized gloves which were uncomfortable as they were constantly getting caught in my skin. For the back massage portion they used towels which were scratchy and rough. Less than 1/3 of the massage was enjoyable. We were unable to relax the entire time due to both massage therapists smelling like cigarette smoke. One of them was consistently checking their phone which was ringing aloud throughout the massage. Finally, when the massage was over and we handed them their tip, they wanted to negotiate the amount. We tried to say we were not pleased and they continued trying to negotiate their tip. Needless to say we will not be going back. You get what you pay for.
Went there with some friends. My one friend had a good experience, said it was a good massage. I didnt have the highest expectations paying only $40 for an hour massage-however we were in a VERY hot room with a fan on (seriously probably 75 degrees or more). No real privacy. My therapist, a younger guy, was not good. I cant imagine he was a licensed massage therapist. The massage was very sporadic all over the place. No consistency. When I gave him a 20% tip he COMPLAINED pointing to the sign saying $10-20 for a tip and expected $20 for a tip! As always, you get what you pay for....pay a little more and go somewhere decent.
My first impression was not a very good one seeing as the receptionist was quite rude. She then proceeded to tend to all guests before me even those (singles and couples) who had come after (I had an appointment). She also failed to tell my therapist that I had purchased the VIP room with my package.Other than that, the massage was great and my therapist, David took great care of me. It’s sad that an experience can be tainted by one person’s poor attitude. I’m not sure that I will be returning to this location because of it. There are many others in the competition with all around great service.
My boyfriend and I had a couples massage. I had Tanya and he had Su. Both ladies were great. The massage was relaxing and i swear Tanya had amazing hands. Just the right pressure. I highly recommend.
There is an ad on Facebook and Ill link the pictures. thats how I came by this spot. Very misleading. No where on this original post does it say that you have to be a member for this $76 for 2 couple massage. Yet when we came in thats exactly what they told us. I even showed them this post and they didnt want to honor it. Cannot speak for the massage. They are decent. But just the advertising itself threw me off. Just wanted to add that the people who massage you demand at least 20$ each after you are done getting the massage as a tip. I dont mind tipping and was going to do it anyways, but it was very forward of them to say you need to pay us our 20$ each now. They did not last the hour, and the hot stone massage part was about 5 maybe 7 minutes of the entire massage. The two stars given are for the actual massage part, they were not bad, just demanding and short on time like I said not the full hour. We arrived at 6 and by the time we finished asking about why pricing was different after several people interrupted it was about 6:30, we still had to get out of out clothing and they took about 10 minutes to come in, yet we finished the massage at 7:20 ish give or take a few minutes. Totalling about maybe 35-40 minutes total.lastly I wanted to add that someone touched our stuff. I would have never noticed but my partner said they for sure touched his glasses as he could see a print on it, and he absolutely never touches the lense part, very picky about that, they left an oily fingerprint on it, even though it was out of the way where they told us to leave our things. Not what I was expecting at all and never going back.
I went here with my mom today. First they put us in the same room for separate massages and there was no privacy between our room and the other rooms. The guys massaged us very rough and were even more sore than before going in. After handing them each a decent tip, they had the nerve to say to give them more. Thats just rude. The ambiance is not bad, but Im definitely not going back.
The receptionists are extremely no-nonsense and my sister and I sat in their waiting area for about 10 minutes before being called into one of the massage areas (I used a 90-minute couples massage deal from Groupon). The therapists made sure to ask if they were applying appropriate pressure or if we wanted our faces massaged; very considerate. Great service; will definitely come back again!
Our 90 minute couples massage was actually 60 minutes. The massage itself was pretty terrible, choppy, no flow to the massage. He went from feet to deep tissue back without warming up the back. Definitely the worst massage I’ve ever gotten. One of our guys was talking the whole time. They stopped for 3 five minute breaks to go smoke cigarettes and smelled when they came back. Our masseuses demanded a $15 tip each after. Do not recommend!
Do not get the full body massage! They rip you off. Toward the end of the mediocre massage, she left for a full 10 minutes, then return for 5 minutes. Essentially you don’t get the full time on the table. Others have also mentioned this practice so it wasn’t just me.Then at tip time, you are forced to give what they ask for. My standard is 20% but that wasn’t good enough. A crowd of the gathered around me, speaking only their native language so I couldn’t understand but the message was clear, I needed to give more money or they were not going to stop yelling at me. Just awful!
Im pretty sure my massage guy knew nothing about massage. I had to keep telling him stop, ouch and that hurts. He kept pushing hard at the base of skull and I was thinking brain stem injury. when he quickly shoved hard with both hands into the base of my spine I about jumped off the table. my spine actually felt like it was going to crack. the entire time I gritted my teeth to endure the pain even though at 1 point I felt like crying. He did not massage anything properly. He forgot my right hand and calves.I felt like I was being beaten and knocked around. I have many finger print bruises to show for this experience. I very sore.Beware of the tipping policy in this place. I tipped $20 and he yelled at me saying $50 or higher while waving the twenty dollar bill at me. I didnt want to give him anything tips should be earned. The place is advertised as new but it is run down and Im uneasy about its cleanliness. its really dark inside and kind of cheesy with decorated trees. The VIP room is just a dark room with 2 cots to lie on.also, my 90 minute massage was 70 minutes and like another reviewer posted the therapist will just walk out and leave for 5 or 10 minutes with no explanation.I wanted to post pics of my bruises.
Having only ever been to high end - lux hotel spas the ambiance here was a bit different! Ur room is more like a pool cabana indoors with less privacy. Might be a problem if shy about getting naked but that’s no problem for me. The massage itself was rather good and Jenny was very strong and worked on my tense spots just right! Glad we got the membership and will go monthly!
This was my first visit to this spa. Great atmosphere, clean room and incredible massage. Tony was very considerate of any issue of comfort. Very professional and good. I purchased the membership that discounts services so I may freely tip better. I think the therapists primarily live on tips but when you add it all up, totally fair price. Ill be back as much as possible! 🙂
Have been coming here for a while now when Im in town, but this last time made me not want to come back. Finished the massages and the therapist tried to badger us for more tip money (already tipped 30% and they tried to demand 40%) very rude and unappreciative and it really kind of ruined the relaxation as well.. So yeah good prices but your therapist may demand more money even after you tip generously.
This place is horrible for massages SMH. My wife and I came here because we were vacationing to Vegas. We found a deal for couple massages online. When we first told front desk why we were there and that we purchased online the front desk lady immediately started trying to get us to purchase more things, even after my wife and I explained that we weren’t interested and we had to be somewhere right after our massages. Then our massages were horrible!!!! My wife said her massage wasn’t enjoyable at all!! My wife also said he was rough and rushed the massage the entire time. Then for me the lady who did my massage acted as if she didn’t want to do it. She lacked in that area. Then my massage lady started trying to get us to purchase CBD oil in the middle of us getting our massages SMH Then after we were finished both the guy and lady stood at the door until we came out demanding a $10 tip for each what a joke!!!
Went for couples massage and me nor my partner were not satisfied by any means. people giving massages were not trained by any means. did not use lotion or oil in the beginning for a while until they asked if we wanted cbd oil which to we agreed after having the skin on our backs peeled from raw hands. no sorts of technique used on massages and felt very rushed. after massages were complete they told us cbd oil was an extra $16 total and then they asked for tip to when I had $5 out they said no and it was $10 tip each for 60 minute massage. Would highly never recommend to anyone and spoke to a couple leaving as we left and they had similar experience. also heard couple next to us complaining people giving massages were touching inappropriately. I do not understand how this place is still in business!
Excellent foot spa place. We did the 90 minutes and our massages were amazing! Our therapist were Lee and Jerry.Ive been here a few times now and each time has been amazing. I recommend the foot massage over the combo. The combo focuses more on your neck and back unless you do 90 minutes. Make sure youre verbal if you want more or less pressure. The place is huge and have curtain partitions which is nice. You can still here the other people around you but it does feel a little more private. All in all great experience and will be back soon.
The front desk representatives are rude and have a lack of manners and customer service. The facility is nice the therapist are excellent. However, the front desk representatives are so out of order. I watched the young lady toss two customers their receipts on the counter aggressively because she was not happy about the tip the lady offered. The customer was so nice and she brushed it off. I also experience this same disrespect and rude behavior and was cohersed into giving a $20 tip for a 90 minute massage instead of the $10 tip I initially had. I understand they are working hard and tips are necessary, however I shouldnt be harrassed directly about the kind of tip I am giving. That is not polite and it turns customers off from wanting to return. When we entered we were not greeted with a hello and when saying thank you they do not reply with your welcome. Again extremely rude. People should not be treated this way. I will make a point to report this to my friends at the Better Business Bureau!
The place is very pretty and fancy but the staff is very mean. I did whole body 90 mins massage. And the lady asks me $20 for tips. Her attitude is so bad. I think it is good for american not Chinese.
My husband and I did purchased the 90 minute Vip massage via groupon. The receptionist seemed annoyed when we told her and she became very rude with my husband, demanding that her hand her his phone. The massage itself wasn’t the best and wasn’t the worst either. After the massage the masseuse forced a higher tip by refusing to give my husband change. We wanted to tip $15 to each masseuse. He gave her $40 and asked for $10 back. She argued and pointed to a sign that they have posted which recommends tipping $10-$20 for one hour. The key word is recommended. It doesn’t say required. If it is required then it should be built into the cost of the massage. We feel hustled. We were the last customers, the masseuse left quickly and did not give us our change. We do not want to come back and do not recommend Star foot massage.
My husband take my mom and me for my birthday as a surprise to get relaxing massage we leve our purses on the car when he drop us off. He spend $140+ on both of us because they make him pay for the membershipThe first thing i told my therapist was make sure you dont touch my eyelashes because i just got them done today in the morning ((it was like i was talking to the wall i have my lashes all greasy and they are falling off))Also the area was very noisy and hard to relax there was people talking and yelling in different rooms it was not a good experience at all.Extremely unprofessional and rude and kept harassing me for tip money i was waiting on my husband to pick us up to tip them but i was so embarrassed that i told my husband not to tip them.Beware all. They will follow you all the way to the car and harass you to give give them a tip and will be upset if you decline. Will not go backWouldnt recommended it at allIf i can give this place a 0 star review i would
We had a 90 min couples massage today. The massage was fabulous, we had a combination of deep tissue, hot stone & reflexology. This is the second time at this facility and both experiences were great and we highly recommend it. The best part was that it was only $48 per person!!!
Massage was good, but service is awful and rude. We left $10 each for a treatment that cost $50 and both therapists started complaining it’s not enough, pushing us to bring more money and walking after us to the front door. We will definitely won’t come back and won’t recommend anyone else to go there.
It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review, but I feel this one is necessary. To start off, I booked the massage online. I chose the option of $76/couple massage. I get to my appointment about 20 minutes early. I check in telling them my phone number. The front desk lady proceeds to tell me that the massage will be $100 for the both of us. I told her about the special/option I chose online and she says thats for members only. I argued that if that was the case, why did it allow me to choose that option? No where on their appointment page does it say anything about being a member. There was also a flyer at the front of the Spa showing this special as well-- again it does not say anything about having to be a member to receive this special. She pushes trying to get me to sign up for a membership after I countlessly told her Im not interested. This Spa is very far from me and the only reason I came was because of this great deal. After arguing with her for about 5 minutes, my girlfriend and I began to walk out the door as we were no longer interested in paying the price they were offering. I couldve gone to any other spa/massage place with those same rates. She stops us and says she will allow the $76 special. So I thought, okay great! Super appreciative, even though she continued to give me attitude. I paid for the massages and she asked me how much I would be adding for tip after the massage. Idk about you guys, but I tip based on experience so it was odd that they asked me in the beginning before the massage. So we get called back to our full body massage. The massage itself was alright. It felt very rushed, and they did not do our arms/feet/head. The lady massaging me also kept checking her phone constantly. If it were to check the time, they should just add a clock or timer in the room. It seemed very unprofessional. Anyways, at the end of the massage, they asked me and my girlfriend if we would like tea or water. We denied the offer and said we have water in our car. After getting dressed, they still offered us the tea and said heres the green tea, its free. Okay, sure. I started drinking my tea and the lady that gave me the massage asked if I was paying for the tip cash or card. Once I said card, she rushed me and told me to put my tea down so I could grab the tip. And as Im reaching into my wallet, shes literally standing right in front of me and staring into my wallet. I gave her the tip for both of them and she LITERALLY begged for more money. She said, Please we work very hard which I completely understand. I felt like I was giving a generous tip. Then the guy that gave my girlfriend a massage said yeah you’re the last massage of the night and we gave you tea! .... which is free and we didnt ask for it. So feeling pressured because theyre begging and the fact that shes staring at the cash in my wallet, I gave them more money. Even then, she continued to ask for more!! Ive never felt so uncomfortable.I then looked up the standard hospitality rate for massage tipping because I thought maybe I was offending them, which I didn’t want to do. But after doing so, I realized I tipped them more than what the standard rate is. Which is 20% and I gave them more than that. So I don’t appreciate them making me feel pressured to tip them more. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
Mary was amazing! She listened to my pressure preference and checked on my comfort with each new area she focused on. Having the full body massage made me so calm... But, it was her focus on my head, hands and feet that made me feel like a noodle. Sooooo worth the price. Ill definitely be back!
Worst place ever in Las Vegas now. Therapists are great but not the receptionists. They are trying to drain your money as much as they can. I prefer the old staff and old location. Member since 2013 and noMore.
My therapist was John and he was amazing! I went in because my neck, shoulders and back were killing me. He did such an amazing job, I feel like a noodle 😊 I do like very strong pressure during my massages and he did not disappoint. I will definitely be going back to him!
The room was nice. I enjoy smelling pleasant aromas when Im getting a massage. However, my masseuse smelled like garlic, which threw off some of my relaxation. Other than that, the massage was decent. When it was over , I went to tip $15. She said $20. I stuck with $15
I was very unimpressed by this establishment, it seemed nice and professional at first and then I received probably the worst “massage” I’ve ever had. I wasn’t given any instructions, just led to a room with multiple massage tables of which don’t have blankets just normal size towels. I paid for 90 minutes and was dismissed at about 70 minutes, and she would leave the room often without explanation. As I did not receive the full time I gave a $10 tip and she demanded I swipe my card for $15, to which she proceeded to ask keep the $10 I had already given her. I will not be returning to this establishment.
I have been to the facility a few times. I came this time because I was in dire need of a hardcore massage. I love the atmosphere, it reminds me of a dark, romantic garden. The massage area is separate by curtains, some people may not be comfortable with that. The prices are pretty decent. Sometimes it is better to pay the $20, even if you only come in once more. The price will drop a lot more with the membership for future visits. They also have a tipping system of $10-$20. Some people are bothered by this, but if you think about it, with a $20 tip youre still going to pay less than if you were going to other spas, especially the casino spas. I usually tip $25 myself. I enjoy how easy it is to sign up for an appointment online. There are only 2 reasons why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. 1. I really wish the massage therapists would provide and place a pillow of some sort under the knees when they are massaging you while youre on your back to provide lumbar support. I feel my back bothers me a bit because of this afterwards. And 2. I wish the towels we are covered with were bigger. I understand the therapists are used to the nudity, but it would be nice to have a bit more coverage.Side note due to COVID: The facility asked and requires you to wear a mask at all times, including during your massage. I know this is a huge inconvenience, but it is also very understandable considering what is going on in the world right now. It did take me about a good 10 minutes or so to get used to breathing with a mask and make myself mostly comfortable. It does stink, and I know I didnt enjoy my massage as much as Id like, but my safety and the therapists safety take priority, so I dealt with it. If you dont like it, then I suggest you dont go.
We have been coming for over a year and things have changed. The past few times their masseuses have been overly aggressive along for tips, their sign gas recommended amounts which I generally do, something more. Lately they look at the money and all for more.We would get the couples massage for $76, today they wanted a membership fee of $20 each. There is an entire row of places for a massage around here, they lost us as customers today.
Inconsistent, Front staff lady only 1 is extremely rude l waited 2 1/2 hours after l was told to just walk in. Wont return even tho I bought 2 memberships.Management help get me in before, he was on point an handsome. I wont tolerate this treatment bye-bye!!
Great experience! My therapist was great, Im sad I didnt catch his name. He was gentle, and made sure I was comfortable. Will definitely be back. Everything was super clean, and it felt very welcoming!
I wish we read the reviews before we go. We used to go here before but didn’t come for the last 2 years. They advertise $76 for 2 for an hour package but that’s actually for membership only. So you have to pay extra $20/each for first time to get the membership and then second time you can get that deal. We chose the 60 mins but the staff left the room at least 10 mins just to get their stuff back and forth. At the end, they basically asked for $20 tip each. It’s terrible experience and couldn’t believe their attitude towards customers. Guess will find another place then.
I went 1/17/2024 with my men , they told us the couple massage are 88 but we need to buy the membership 40 more , we pays , went and literally I pay to get oil rub , I was counting the minutes when the therapy’s literally was doing nothing , I was laying waiting and count the minutes,, when it was done we tip 10 dollars each, literally they want another 10 each they said it was enough,,they give us dirty looks, and the front desk told us if we will tip more , my men say no ,, we don’t have more cash , she said you can used credit card ,, I understand that tipping is not mandatory,, you pays for a service tipping is obviously up to you and what kind of service you get ,, not good experience
Me and my wife went here for a foot massage, the older lady I got only massaged me for 21 minutes outta the 30 minutes I paid for then after the service, her and 4! other people intimidatingly blocked us from leaving until we paid a tip I was gonna give one anyway but sheesh It was the most uncomfortable feeling it made me not wanna give anything almost felt like they were robbing us. When we come back to Vegas we will not be stopping here.... SAVE YOUR MONEY!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
My husband and i went here today to get a couples massage for our 1 year anniversary. It was AMAZING!!! The therapists were very professional and great at what they do! I felt very relaxed. We even bought the year membership afterwards!!! We will be back.
I’m from Florida and came down to celebrate my boyfriend birthday. Wanted to do something different for his birthday, so we got a couples message and visited this star spa with an appointment and still had to wait for 48mins before being seen. The message was the worst and it was very sloppy too. At the end we tried to give a 10 dollar tip and they demanded 20 dollars or more! I WOULD NOT Recommend this unprofessional place not even to their own local Residences.
My wife and I went here for a couples massage, the service was great, we walked in and didnt have to wait very long at all.Our cost was $110, we tipped $30, our massage therapist came back over to me and asked for $10 more and that was tacky. Thats why Im giving this place a 3 star review.
I had a good first experience thats why I decided to visit again. Prices are cheap compared to other massage places and their services are great too. I gave $10 tip for an hour massage when I went there for the first time and gave $15 tip for a 1.5hour massage during my second visit (I dont know any tip etiquette, I hope it was an ok tip for them).. but anyway, the only problem I had was their cushions/massage bed smells sweaty.. they need to properly clean the massage room.. and when they pause to grab a towel or hot stones it kinda takes a long time.. despite some issues, I will definitely go back again!
Their expectation on tip is so rude and wrong. I need massages to relieve tension and stress, but I get more stress when they demand tips. They dont understand or completely ignore about tip custom in America. You have no right to demand or have expectation on tips. Never Ever mention about tips to customer because thats so rude and no basic manner. Accept tips given by customers as graciously and gratefully regardless of amounts. When you do that, customers will come more often and tip better, and your business will be success too. I do not wish to come here unless theyre better educated about tips and attitudes.
I was told the 90 min massage was $49, As advertised on the web. Get there and you must buy the 20 dollar yearly membership in addition or it would be a different pricx for the massage. . I NEEDED a DEEP TISSUE-MASSAGE!!! My therapist had no clue what muscles were where!!! No reflexology knowledge applied a advertised!! Then as I tipped him at 20%of $45. As $9.00he demanded/extorted another $20 fee to allow me to leave the building. Horrible experience!!! Wanted to throw up as a 100% tip was demande by someone who OBVIOUSLY HAD NO IDEA OF THE MUSCULAR SRUCTURE OF THE HUMAN BODY!!!? !! How can you call yourself a therapist????? Get some education!!! THE PRICE Was inflated before they preformed the services requeste. The Dept of Nv will be contacted with the other numerous reviews with the same complaint’s. This place needs to be shut down!!!!
Not great. His pressure was very light and way too fast. I would try again but not with the same guy. Disappointing. My friend went with me and she had a great massage with a lady so I guess it depends on who you get.
My wife and I came in for a 90min massage. They did a really wonderful massage. The few awkward things were they didn’t communicate with us in the beginning on how to undress and they did leave the room a few times but only for a minute or two. They both checked in with us on pressure and I could tell my therapist knew what he was doing. I felt comfortable and relaxed afterwards. We will definitely come back.
I dont know what the bad reviews are about but I had great service and experience at Star Foot Spa. Used a Groupon for the 90 min massage. The front desk ladies were polite enough, asking if I preferred a male or female. I waited for about two minutes and then I was taken back to a closed area where my masseuse (Yuyu) gave me clear instructions and always asked about the pressure. The massage was great and I wasnt hassled ever about tip. I will definitely plan on going again.
The massage therapists doesnt really care about the service. They also say that $20 tip is mandatory. The Chinese guy in the front desk is tricking clients to pay more. They say you are a member and yet you pay the same regular prices for the service. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is not the right place to go. People are rude!
They were completely rude! First I’m on the heavier set type women and they laughed as they gave me a robe and said I need the bigger one. Then they demanded a tip which we are traveling and have a set amount so it was hard to want to tip when they were already being so rude! Then they put us in a sauna and literally demanded we give them more money and it was just so out of line and quit honestly rude as can be. This spa is trash!!
Massage was great, however the lady who massaged my husband argued with us over her $10 tip. Pointed to a sign stating suggested tip $10 per hour. We had a 80 minute massage. As I stated to her, its suggested not mandatory. The gentleman who massaged me, accepted his tip with no problems.
I purchased a Groupon deal for 1 1/2 hours. Sandy was my therapist and was wonderful. I was not greeted very nicely at the front desk, the 2 seemed a bit preoccupied with their conversation and looking at their computer screens in front of them. Thankfully Sandy came in and saved the day with a big smile and warm greeting. I was led to one of the VIP rooms, not sure what the other rooms are to compare? She was well spoken and made me feel welcomed and relaxed. Have to say was the fastest 1 1/2 hours, I couldve stayed another 2. Well spent Groupon with or without an all-round great first impression. Ill be back
We had a girls weekend in Vegas so I thought after all our touring around a massage was in order before returning home. Im totally into hunting for the best place for the right price, with that said, I also had a Groupon coupon! So, how good a service do you get when you have a discounted price? Well, let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC! We even arrived earlier then our appointment time and they got us in. It can be a little scary booking a service online, however, they confirmed it plus sent a text reminder. DO NOT HESITATE. ..BOOK NOW! BTW we had a 60 min couples massage with foot soak and our therapists were Michelle and Van, THANK YOU, so much, will be back next time in Vegas!
I’ve been here twice, so far, and they provide an excellent service for the price. Hard to beat $48 for 90 minute massage with hot stones and reflexology. Always good to remember to tip your therapist generously, especially because the prices are low and quality of service is high. I highly recommend.
Went in for the advertised $76 couple massage on google. The lady at the front acted like she didnt know about the special. The people in front of us had the same problem but were coming out of their massage and paying but the amount she charged them was much higher. And she was telling the lady how much to tip each worker. Not a pleasant and relaxing experience. Will not ever return.
My husband and I have been a quite a few times and had a great experience. I sent a friend there thinking she would have the same experience. She said the massage was good but when she went to tip the person (which was a good tip in my opinion) he pointed to the sign basically requesting more!!! How rude! I wont be referring anyone here anymore. Very upsetting..
Used to come here often but the service has gotten pretty terrible. A $20 tip was demanded because I purchased the 90 min massage, even though the sign says “recommended tip $10-20”. The massage was subpar and didn’t really have much structure. The environment was noisy with people talking loudly outside the curtain. It was extremely difficult to understand what the massager was saying because of her scent, which led to her being flustered.
Im not a big person for complaining the massage itself was great. However. If you are call about their groupon deal theyll rudely pressure you out of doing that. After the couples massage we gave 20 dollars as a tip. We had 4 people at the front desk telling us that we did not tip well enough. They have an infographic telling you what you need to tip in each room and the whole experience talking to the staff killed the vibe and got me on google reviews when I should be enjoying my vacation with the wife. Please learn to talk to people when you run a people centered business and you arent entitled to any tip. Pay your employees better.
I bought a groupon for 90 minutes but I didn’t get 90 minutes I was in there about 65 minutes—including the masseuse leaving me for a good 5 minutes that felt like eternity so I was dissatisfied about what was offered versus what I actually got. The masseuse was good though, and I still tipped as if it was 90 minutes to not be a jerk but I definitely overpaid for the time I actually got. I would go back for the massage but I’m scared to buy that package again because I’m not going to make a stink in a relaxation place. I’d rather avoid it altogether!
As a chronic pain sufferer, I have found SFS to be an inexpensive remedy for back pain. I enjoy their yearly membership which pays for itself within one visit. Both their short time options and the longer massage/reflexology packages are great.I’ve felt comfortable and safe every time I’ve been. I prefer their more private rooms than the cubicles so you can make a request when you go there.
Wow this place is a RIP OFF!!! I will never come back here again!!!! They will harassed you for tips!! People who gave you a massage will wait in the front desk with the manager who will force you to pay $20 per hr each for tip as an addition to what you paid for! We initially gave them $10 each and they still complaint started talking back to back such as the massage was good, tip required more money, etc. As in you will feel embarrassed in front of other people waiting. Well yeah the massage was alright and it is paid for! I will understand if they charge 70% for tip if the massage was free but it is not! We already paid almost $100 for the massage itself plus they forcing us to pay $30 for each therapist! If the massage was free I would gladly give them $40 each on tip! When we walked in they checked us in but didnt greet us, it was ok. They asked us to wait and sit down, the waiting area is great with typical Japanese/Chinese design. Massage was ok, wasnt great they dont work on deep tissue massage. The therapists have no good customer service and not friendly at all. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. I am warning everyone who tries to come here to please look for another place better!!!! I dont know why other people have 5 stars for this place, maybe those are made up by employees!!
I highly recommend this spa. My cousin and I got the 90 minute full body massage, with 30 minutes focused on foot massage. We then decided to get the celebrity facials. The massage was fantastic and the finishing stretches were just what I needed. The facial was the best I’ve ever had. My specialist had magic fingers and did an exceptional job of scraping my brow and nose. We are from out of town but believe I will come back to this spa then next time roll through town.
I wish I could give more than five stars! I am a local and have had many massages from little places to hotel “fancy” spas, and this was by far the BEST massage I’ve had in my life! $38 for an hour full body massage and my therapist Lisa was amazing. I’m still tingling and all my tension is gone. My only complaint is that I didn’t find this gem sooner! Centrally located and easy to find. HIGHLY recommend :)
Honestly I love the fact that I can just walk in most days, and they do a very good job. Massage is a good price, but the attitude it comes to tipping is insane. Massage is like $25. I gave a $10 tip which is 40% gratuity and she rolled her eyes at me and didnt say a word. The treatment at end really does hurt the experience.
Not very happy with the service - but the masseur John was good. Requested an online appointment for a 120 massage - not for the spa facilities, but for the foot pedi only. Arrived to the desk and was told repeatedly (and rather obnoxiously in fact) to take another spa promo since it was cheaper which included the use of the spa facilities, which I did not want. I can appreciate being upsold on a better deal, but this was just obnoxiously and not at all what I asked for. I took the upsell promo thinking I would get just an extra bonus in addition to my massage, but when I was guided to the spa room, I was immediately requested to supply the amount of the tip to be given to the spa cleaning staff..? Never heard of this! So, the receptionist took a napkin to document how much I was going to give for a pre tip amount to the cleaning spa staff AND the future masseur. Never heard of this either. So I insisted that no tip amount or payment would be given until AFTER the massage service was rendered because why would I pre pay something as subjective as a tip?? She requested to hold my credit card at the front desk until after the service ended, which also didnt make sense because she charged my card on arrival as soon as I requested the full spa service promo. I didnt appreciate the idea of upselling for a service due to its cheaper rate, only to be told to pay extra fees for said extra service AFTER I paid in full for the appointment promo. So essentially they charge for the spa promo + the spa facility fee tip and the masseur tip...why not just inform customers of the spa facility cleaning services and calculate that into the overall fee? Wasnt happy with the spa facility either - was pointed to a spa room and told to enjoy but I was wary of using spa robes and towels that looked like they had seen better days...John the masseur was good; glad they gave him the cash tip up front for his service but other than that, not really happy with the services here and will not be returning.
It looks nice, but that is it. The front desk is rude and short with answers, the rooms are gazebos with curtains, the massage tables arent tables (they are low benches), no sheets- only towels to cover yourself, the therapists dont ask how the pressure is or if you need anything worked, they rolled over bones, they had the nerve to answer a call in the middle of the massage!😤 then when they were done, they walked us up front and went we went to tip we tips $15 each which was more than enough, and they demanded $20!? I was with my husband and didnt want to cause a scene but I gave them it?! DONT GO HERE!!
The massage was good, however they were very demanding about a $15 dollar tip. When we gave $20 for a couples massage, both therapists argued that their sign says $15 tip per therapist for a 90 min massage. The receptionist defended the therapists as well. We found this extremely rude and unprofessional. It ruined the whole massage experience. Not happy with this place at all.
The place had nice relaxing ambience. My masseuse Nancy did a fantastic job. She actually walked on my back, which was great to break up those tight knots that are hard to break using your hands. Overall one of the best massages Ive ever gotten. Get the 90min vip, worth the $. Thanks again Nancy!
Booked a couple massage with my girlfriend and had to endure listening to her massage table squeak for 90 minutes in frustration. Among several other items I could complain about regarding is massage. How difficult is it to set up a massage table so it doesnt squeak! On top of that my massage was sub par and the worst I have had at this spa. Looks like they are still working out the kinks at their new location, but it may be time for me to find another!Update 7/7/21 Gave this location another shot. After the couples massage I gave each therapist a$20 tip and one of them ask for more rather then give thanks! Im done with this place!!
My Best Friend took me here since i get massage twice a month. As a visitor from out of town this place was slammed busy, we made appointments which i recommended doing. We got the hour massage, half hour foot massage. My bed felt like it had seen better days, a little flat. I know they dont traditionally have a ton of cushion but mine seemed abnormally.....flat. Massage therapist was great and when i turned over onto my back he brought out a plastic tub for my feet to start getting soaked however it wasnt quite big enough for my feet so they were kinda crammed in the basin which was a little uncomfortable. After we got dressed we came out to a nice, dimly lit and relaxing common area, and were brought tea and water while we got our tip together for the therapists. Aside from those two things I would recommend this place, you absolutely CAN NOT beat the price!!! And please tip well...these people do a great job!!!!
