One small business owner to another personally, knowing the owner, I guarantee that it would not have gone down this way if the owner was therelame …..ghetto I’ll post a video to TikTokUncalled for I hope the better staff bartender literally threw my wallet onto the sidewalk. I’ve never been so embarrassed or so disrespected.!!That’s why as the small business owner, I will reach out to the owners in the morning to Help realize what their staff has the ability to do or not do for their company what a shame!!!

I understand why my friend was kicked out. We are both young women in our 20s. One of the bartenders made us exit into the alley where a Homeless man followed us. That could have gotten dangerous so quickly. Please just escort people through the front.

The vibes at duffy’s was immaculate. People had the touch tunes playing of the chart bops..the blue moon with fresh Venetian orange slice got me primed for the concert that took place that night! Am totally stoked to get back there and party🤙

I’ve never been more disappointed than when I was at Duffys. Walked in and was immediately disrespected by the large bald manager. Should have read the reviews before going there, extremely disheartened by the rude staff. If you are looking to be made fun of by older men, stop by Duffys.

This bar is such a blast. Good stuff here! 1. Staff is dope 2. Drinks are cold AND they have fishbowls 3. Live music 4. Eclectic groups of people go here...never a dull moment!

Fishbowl kamakazi was decent, but definitely could have had more alcohol in it. Music was kinda Jazzy, I enjoyed it. They have a nice big smoking area outside, and they had pizzas set out today, for anyone (we didnt try it, Im sure it was good, it was from valentinos).

I visited this freshman bar recently and was extremely disappointed. The atmosphere was ruined by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the bald headed manager, who has the cholesterol levels of 7 obese men. His attitude was terrible and he smelled like a sewer rat. If you’re into getting degraded, this is definitely your spot.

Worst place I’ve ever dined at. Food was okay at best but the service was absolutely horrendous. The servers were extremely rude and impatient and were the complete opposite of welcoming. This establishment will never receive another dollar from me or my family. Absolutely disgraceful.

Did not stop in this night. They do not have food. Service is good but dependent on how busy they are, how many bartenders and who is working. Love the atmosphere.

Great long time dive bar. Fun atmosphere. Good music. Variety of cheap Tallboys and of course Fishbowls!

Went with my boyfriend a few days ago and the bartenders were rude and the drinks were weak. would not recommend.

I like it here and come here with friends often because the crowd is fun and the music is good, we love the patio and fire pit when it’s on.However, several times I’ve come here I’ve been overcharged or had bad experiences with the bartenders. I ordered a cocktail and some beer and paid cash. I handed her a 20 expecting to get change back. She did not tell me the price or my total at all, she just took the $20 and said “you’re good.” Not sure if it came out to exactly $20 or if she was assuming herself a tip but she could have told me the price. I still tipped her on top of that anyways just because.I’ve also ordered a drink for one price, came back to order the same drink 20 minutes later (not during a happy hour change or anything) and the same bartender made the same drink again but randomly raised the price? He even said “THIS one is gonna be /higher price/.” I’m not sure what is custom for bartenders and I’m not too upset about it but these interactions are extremely awkward and off putting. I definitely don’t get friendly vibes from the employees, they kinda make you feel like a nuisance. Maybe that’s the dive bar experience.

I went to Duffy’s often when I was back in college and the place is just as friendly with delicious drinks as back in the early 1990s.

Extremely rude, servers act like they are better than the customer. Hope these guys make minimum wage the rest of their sorry lives.

Love the vibe of this place. Low key feeling. We went tonight around 7pm. Loved the fishbowl. However, maybe we went on a bad night, but they had a heavy metal band that totally killed the vibe. Bad type of music for that space. Its too bad. We would have liked to stay longer.

Did not let me in because I didn’t have cash to pay for the concern. I offered to pay with card along with the concert fee, didn’t accept instead asked me to get cash. Went to another place with live music nearby ; not only let me enter their place , also offered me free drink.

Ordered the Long Island bowl. Told the bartender it didn’t taste right. Multiple people tasted ( random people at the bar who were strangers) they said it had a weird after taste. He refused to trade my drink that was near full for a bowl that was half the price and was very rude about the entire thing. Blond hair guy behind the bar on 9-17-22. I will not be coming back! I will make sure to tell my friends.

The inside of this building is so cool! They have a pool table. the back patio space is epic! It has Fireplaces when its cold, tvs, and plenty of seating. Also get the fishbowl.

Always had a great time visiting, the fish bowls are the best! Staff is efficient, the venue is remarkable, seen a few shows here. They always have something good going on! 👍

Great bar in downtown Lincoln where youll see an excellent cross section of local, regional, and national bands. Live music on Wednesdays and Sundays, lots of specials, and a great staff. Good tap selection as well. Expansive beer garden with a giant fire pit make chilly spring and fall nights cozier. When I lived downtown, this was one of my favorite spots to grab a beer and find some friends.

My personal favorite place to grab a drink with friends in Lincoln. friendly staff, beautiful women, great drinks at decent prices. spot in the back with fire it great. yes sometimes you have the drunk guy that wants to act stupid but there are enough staff to quickly have it taken care of. fish bowls well worth the money it costs which isnt much by comparison to what you get. very popular can get a bit crowded at times but the best places will have plenty of people. happy atmosphere.

Duffy’s is a great place to enjoy an intimate concert. They have a good drink selection and their service is among the best.

Probably the best stage in lincoln. The bar is very large and has a wonderful beer selection. The crowd is new age and accepting of all sorts. You will not be bored. The back of the building has a fire pit/smoking area that allows you to take your drinks out. Very cool place. On Monday nights they have an open mic for comedians.

I am a member of the Broadway touring company of Motown. We decided to go to this bar for a night out after the show and had a BLAST! Beautiful venue and good prices. Also, Amanda was a tremendous help to me and so friendly. A+ experience on behalf of the cast of Motown the Musical.

No free parking. I dont care how good an establishment is. When theres no dedicated parking, my rating of the space drops. Especially if theres no parking for booked artists.

I am the great grandson of legendary Duffy’s bartender Hank (Lena Mae Schmid). We were dropped off at Duffy’s Bar yesterday afternoon around 5 while we rode around town on one of the bike tours after being told they offered $10 fishbowls with our wristbands. Upon arrival, we were all masked up and entered to bar to be met with a “You all need to go out back” from the bartender. No offer to take our order, no “Welcome”, no nothing. We went through the restaurant and to the back patio where another group on the other bike tour was also waiting. They were also discussing how rude the bartender was to their group. We tried to enter the bar again after a few minutes of waiting to place an order (there were literally zero other patrons inside or outside on the patio besides the two bike groups) but were once again told by the bartender to go out back and wait. At that point, our group opted to leave and take our business elsewhere. We were saddened that we could not get a drink at the bar our great-grandmother had worked at for so long.

Four stars for the place. Five stars for nostalgia purposes. I spent a lot of time in this place during college. It was the fallback position. It was comfortable. It is a college hang out so if you are not looking for that type of atmosphere you best go somewhere else. ...or harden up and just go inside. You will have fun.

Duffys enforces a minimum bill of $10, so make sure you order drinks for everyone and not just you and your date. Wouldnt be so bad if the bartenders let you know about the minimum before mixing your sub-$10 cocktails.This location also likes decorating with imbalanced tables and missing seats.

Very cool bar, gets very busy later in the evening with all the college kids, the fishbowl are a great way to let multiple people drink for not alot of money . The staff is super friendly and very good at getting order out quickly

Duffys is a fun bar. Its mainly a college bar with bands. They also have a nice outdoor drinking area. On May 13th 1990 when I had a few days off from my job as a truckdriver at Crete Carrier. A friend took me to Nirvana playing at Duffys. I didnt even know what Grunge was, (this was before Nirvana was famous). Awesome hard rocking show! Keep on rockin Lincoln!

Was told this place had amazing fish bowls. They didnt seem to have much alcohol for the size, unless you get the long island ice tea fish bowl. Many games there such as pool, giant connect four and a giant jenga, foosball and darts. There is a fire pit in the back.

College night is on Thursdays. If you like lFlavor get the bomb pop. Prices are high but if you split among 4 people its a good price.

Duffys has been a family tradition..my dad and uncle hung out there, and my aunt waitressed at the restaurant that used to be next door. Hank gave me some of the best life advice. Ive seen soooo many bands there.

Duffys is a decent place to get a drink and have a good time and its one of the hotspots in town. That being said the people who run the place must have a very specific idea of the type of music they want played there and multiple times Ive had my song choices on the jukebox overruled by someone behind the bar. In general I dont think they take any risks with the music they play and its very mainstream unimaginative music. So while a jukebox does not make or break a bar it doesnt make sense to me why they have one if theyre going to let you pay to use it and then cancel your song choices. If youre reading this you might think this is a little over-the-top and Im focusing on one detail of the place but really I think this jukebox thing is just a symptom of a larger attitude problem with the people who run Duffys. On the whole this is just your run-of-the-mill college bar and the owners dont seem to care about improving the place.

My dad went to Duffys in college. I went to Duffys in college. From local bands to Nirvana, it was a great place to hang with friends and see amazing live music.

Love it, the fire pit is amazing! The bartenders are the best and the atmosphere is perfect. Where else can you drink your alcohol from a fishbowl?

Great show at Duffys watching Universe contest and couch jackets and the other band I missed but a great atmosphere a great outside patio and all of the waitresses were friendly and helpful and dont forget Nirvana played there years ago

The sound opporater doesnt know what hes doing and they charge a $10 cover charge. Not to mention the drinks are expensive once you get inside. Not a great spot for college kids or people just out of college.

I’m so glad Duffy’s is open again. We went on their reopening night and it was a blast. Good drinks and music, as always. Happy to see their doors open.

Nice experience here. Service was good as was the beer. Lots of TVs to watch. No kitchen so no food but they allowed us to bring outside food and even had free pizza.

This is literally a second home. Its the most amazing place on earth. I want to get married here. I want my wife to have our kids here. Even in my death bed I want to play giant jenga on stage.

Hole in the wall with a pretty good selection of local bands playing regularly. The place is usually pretty dirty, but the price of the fish bowls is decent.

We enjoyed a few drinks at Duffys as well as a few other bars downtown during New Years Eve. Duffys atmosphere was great, and the drinks were cold!

Went here with a few friends. I tried to order a drink with a friend; he was served almost immediately, but it took me over 10 minutes. When I finally ordered the bartender said my drink cost $3 more then the menu price and overcharged me even after I questioned the price.

My wife, brother, and I were harassed by two drunk feminazi patrons in separate incidents on the same night, one at the bar and one out on the patio. The bartender witnessed the first incident and did nothing. Been going there for years... but NEVER again.
