Best Bachata sensual class that you can ever take in Los Angeles. All the classes are fun. Nicole is an amazing instructor. She is very friendly and she teaches us all the details about particular combos. Daily dance events that they organize is a big plus. Dont think twice and join this community :)
I had a great time taking the Zero to Hero Bachata class with Nicole and Alayn! They are great instructors and phenomenal dancers. I loved the way they broke down the technique and movement in each class and I like that they would dance with each student and give personal feedback. I highly recommend this studio for anyone who wants to improve their dancing. Nicole is an angel 😇 and Alayn makes a lot of funny jokes in class. I look forward to taking more classes with them.
I took the course for Bachata for 3 months duration. (Zero to Hero) The classes were very effective and fun I think. This is a great way socializing and having new friends and improving your latin dance skills. Nicole and Alayn are very friendly and professional instructors. I never missed any class. (Definitely not boring!!!) At the end of every class they do 1 on 1s and give you feedback about your dance performance for the week. They also perform every week for us taking a video at the end of the class what we learned for that day, for us to review it at home and practice. This course definitely helped improving my Bachata skill. You would be investing your money not wasting it!!! I’ll be continuing it when Im back to town!
Absolutely thrilled with my time at Dancer University! Initially, I took salsa 1-3, left LA, and now Im back in full force learning bachata with the incredible Nicole and Emre. The community vibe here is unmatched—Ive found a dance family that feels like home. Huge shoutout to the community for being unbelievably welcoming. Here’s what I have to say about Nicole. Shes not just a teacher but so much more. Nicoles teaching style is top-notch—knowledgeable, patient, and she breaks it all down, turning you into the best dancer you can be. What sets her apart is not just the dance expertise; its her incredible personality. Nicoles energy is infectious, making every class an eagerly awaited highlight of my week. You kind of just want to be around her all the time, class time just isn’t enough! And lets talk Emre! His choreography and lead are pure dance genius. Dancing with Emre makes you feel like you’ve been dancing for a long long time, that’s how incredible of a lead he is—he brings a whole new level of excitement to the dance floor.Dancer University is more than just dance lessons; its a community full of warmth and joy. So incredibly thankful for Nicole and Emre, and grateful for the friendships, the lessons, and the dance-filled memories.💃
Great experience for my first salsa lesson with Dancer University! 🎉💃 Gil the teacher goes to your own pace, slowly, to learn the basic steps and it was perfect! I ll definitely come back! And I recommend it 100%. Thank you!Lily
Nicole provides a great studio and environment for dancers to grow and connect in a dance community. Ive enjoyed her bachata classes, as well as Jasmines salsa course. As a lead, I find the progressive nature of the courses, with an emphasis on review, very instructive and essential. The weekend practices are also a valuable resource.
While I’ve dabbled in social dancing for a year or so, it wasn’t until I took a series with Nicole and Emre at this studio that I truly felt a gained confidence and understanding of the dance. Both instructors are so thorough and professional, especially in their command of the technical aspect of the dance. What I appreciated most is that during each class the two instructors dance with each lead/ follow to ensure their grasp of the lesson and connection points. Besides their knowledge base, they also create such a safe space and welcoming environment for us all. Especially if you’re a transplant looking for a sense of community, like so many of us!
Update**Dancer University totally changed the game for me. The owner Nicole has a pure passion and teaches many of the classes herself. She does this 1on1 with each person at the end of each lesson which is super helpful. One year later, Im more confident in my dance that I usually dont stop when I go out. On the weekends, Nicole lets us have the studio for 2 hours to practice our dance moves for free! SO MUCH FUN! As students we welcome everyone. Summer trips to festivals abroad, fun, friends, and also...tons of dancing! One year ago, emerging from the Covid hibernation, I decided to be brave and give salsa and bachata another shot. My previous attempts with other schools did not help. They felt like a 1-hour pattern memorization which left me often anxious and discouraged. What a thrill to be a part of this amazing school and community. Thank you Nicole, Alain, all the instructors, and friends for making this a place where even someone like me can learn to dance salsa and bachata. The pictures are some of my fondest memories with the people here. And they only show a handful of us.============================================Previous Post**Hands down the best Salsa and Bachata instructors in LA. Nicole, Stephen, Lior, Moshe are my instructors and they are freaking awesome. They know how to teach you in such a way to ensure you remember the steps. They even make sure to give you personal 1 on 1 instruction with no pressure so they can improve your skills. Nicole is the best. She’s so plugged into the social dancing scene so I always get the lowdown on where to dance. I enjoy dancing with her and everyone in this amazing community. Love you guys!
I wanted to learn sensual bachata.Nicole, Emre, and Alayns teaching are some of the best!Their classes are always a great mix of people, explanations are clear/detailed, and have always been approachable if you have questions. The area is safe and really accessible for parking btw!I honestly look forward to attending Dancer University classes while seeing or meeting new friends as well. I confidently feel I have gained experience with them for social dancing.
DancerU Bachata classes are always a highlight of my day. It has great instructors and a fun community. I think its extremely helpful that there is 1-on-1 instructor feedback in every class. Ive taken swing dance classes across the country and rarely see dedicated 1-on-1 feedback time. Have recommended DancerU to co-workers & friends who want to learn Salsa/Bachata.
Ive been social dancing for a few months and I finally decided to take classes because I wanted to learn new moves. They are hands-down the best. I like that their classes have an equal amount of leads/follows. And I love the repetition in the class. You keep switching so you can get a feel for different leads/follows. And the teachers dance with you so they can tell you what to fix. The best part is they do a lot of social events so you can always find a place to implement everything you learn
If youre considering it, just go for it! I took Salsa 1 with Belen and Mo, and Salsa 2 with Belen and Joe. The classes are an absolute blast, and the instructors are incredibly talented. If you’re flying solo (as I was), no worries; a lot of folks are, so its a fantastic way to dive into the Salsa community and meet some great people. I cant recommend this place enough!
I have been taking bachata classes at Dancer U for a year now. I love the instructors, the students and the general ambiance . And when you sign for classes you can attend free practice every Saturday afternoon!
Bachata or salsa, look no futher. I drive here all the way from the west side of the valley becuase Dancer University is simply the BEST. The community, the events, and no matter your level you are welcome here. Sign up, you will not be disappointed.
I Have been taking Bachata lessons with Nicole at Dancer University since Feb 2022 and it has quickly become my new favorite hobby! You don’t need a partner to take lessons. Her classes are kept fairly small for such a reasonable price. I feel like I have made so much progress and have made a few friends a long the way. Everyone is super friendly and encouraging. Nicole is an amazing instructor and dancer that really takes her time to make sure you get all of your questions answered! She has such an approachable personality and has a passion for Latin dancing :)I highly highly highly recommend taking salsa or bachata lessons with her at Dancer university! It has been the best thing I’ve done in such a long time.
Dancer University is wonderful! All the instructors are very patient, friendly, and give great feedback. There are many opportunities offered every week to practice at social events and in the studio. If youre interested in learning or stepping up your Salsa & Bachata game then Dancer U is the place to go.
Dancer University is, in my opinion, one of the most welcoming and fun dance studios in Los Angeles! There is a very strong sense of family-like community and passion for dancing at DU, not to mention phenomenal instruction from the amazing Nicole Gil 😍🙌 Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced dancer, there is something here for everyone. I would especially recommend DU to folks looking to learn sensual bachata, as the teachers here are some of the best in LA. Sign up for a class today and I guarantee you wont regret it!
Nicole is amazing! I took a Bachata beginner class after trying it out at the Victorian and Im completely hooked. Shes an awesome instructor and the format makes it super easy to chain together a routine and work on specific adjustments. Generally just a lovely community with top-notch instruction. Ill be dancing with them much more :)
I cant say enough good things about this dance studio! I am currently taking Salsa 1 with Michael and Eliana and it has been an absolute blast. Michael and Eliana take the time to make sure everyone feels comfortable with the basics while still building on a fun and complete routine with an opportunity for 1:1 feedback every class. And beyond just the group classes, Nicole and the Dancer University family are such a welcoming community - extending the invite to all students to participate in weekly practice nights and social dancing at various locations throughout the city. Im so grateful to have found this studio and I cant wait to continue my salsa/bachata dancing journey with this incredible community of people.
Taking classes with Nicole is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She really is an excellent teacher! She’s very passionate about what she does and she takes her time with you on improving your skills more and more with each lesson. I’m still amazed on how quickly my husband and I learned to dance salsa and it’s all thanks to Nicole! We couldn’t be any happier with her service and we highly recommend taking her classes to anyone interested in improving their salsa/bachata techniques!
One of the best dance classes I’ve ever taken. Nicole is an incredible instructor and very talented dancer, and she’s created a really special community for both beginners and experienced dancers. She’s created a great program that builds on what you learned the prior week. Can’t recommend enough.
I am about to sign up for my third group series with Nicole. I have also done three private lessons with her. She is a patient instructor and wonderful person. I have been able to make new friends, learn new dance moves, and find a community that brings me so much joy every week. She helps foster a safe and care-free environment for feeling good in your body. Thanks so much for everything you do :)
Ive been coming to classes at Dancer University for 2 months now and it has been life changing! I have always been passionate about music and dancing but I never put in the effort to consistently take dance classes until recently, and this studio is one of my favorite studios in LA. From the amazing instructors (especially Nicole Gil) to the amazing community of dancers it really is an incredible experience. Do yourself a favor and push yourself out of your comfort zone and take a Salsa and/or Bachata series at Dancer University... Then when you are feeling comfortable and confident you can have even more fun going social dancing at one of Nicole Gils amazing social dancing events throughout the different parts of LA.
Nicole is just a great person. She is really organized, creative, happy, punctual, respectful, and FUN! She makes salsa fun. First getting into salsa is a bit nervous for all of us. Ive never looked at my feet so much in my life. Nicole kept me laughing and made the learning process fun and exciting. She hosts many classes around the city, has her online classes, and she does privates (for that 1 on 1 attention to nail all your moves). Her dance vocabulary is large and she has the ability to teach Men, Women, Boys and Girls! If you are looking to have fun while learning an amazing dance; I would recommend Nicole Gil and Dancer University!
Dancer University, and Nicole the owner, truly have brought so much joy to my life and I am ever grateful! I had never danced (ever!) before I started taking Salsa in June 2022 and havent stopped since. Not only are the classes incredible and teach you so much and give you the tools to social dance but with D.U., you get a built-in community of support, friendship, and love of dance. This community is cultivated with free practices, group chats and connection.I cannot recommend this place, and these people, enough. Whatever age/size/level you are, you are welcome and you will have the time of your time!
Taking salsa and bachata lessons with Nicole was one of the best decisions I made when I moved to LA. Shes an incredibly talented instructor and her teaching is very fun and easy to follow. And on top of all that, shes truly a nice loving person youd want to be around! I cannot recommend her enough to anyone wanting to learn to dance. Thanks Nicole for all the great classes and tips!
Dancer University is an amazing platform for everybody that enjoy dance and are looking to build community, is fun and all the instructors are amazing. I recently took a bachata intensive and can see how my technic improve and I feel more confident. all the places they promote to dance are super cool and you always learn something new, and very important you always will have an amazing fun time.
If you’ve always wanted to learn salsa or bachata, definitely sign up for classes at Dancer University. You won’t regret it. Moves are broken down into easy-to-follow steps and the atmosphere is super friendly and fun.I’ve taken salsa with Michael and Eliana (great instructors and genuinely nice people) and bachata with studio owner Nicole and Alayn (also great instructors and super nice, genuine people). You can tell that Nicole, Alayn, Michael, and Eliana truly love salsa/bachata and are passionate about sharing that love with other people through their classes. Not only are the instructors great, but they also attract great students who love to learn and are really supportive of each other. The DU community is truly incredible - you will never have a shortage of people to dance with! And that’s really helpful, as after taking a class or two, you’ll likely become obsessed with salsa and bachata and want (okay, need) to dance most nights of the week.
The best studio in town! Welcoming and friendly environment for ALL levels. Especially if you are new to salsa or bachata and are nervous to learn. I have come so far with my dancing and it’s all to this place! Check them out you will not regret it!
Ive taken six weeks of Bachata 1 twice and plan on taking it for a third time. Nicole is a fantastic teacher and as someone coming from zero dance experience I have improved immensely. Dancer University also works to cultivate a positive learning environment by organizing weekly practice sessions outside of class and frequently hosting dance socials where we can learn and improve. Ive also made new friends and found the entire experience to be enriching.
I’ve taken many of Dancer University’s salsa and bachata classes and they’re fantastic! I highly recommend them!Nicole teaches with a lot of positive energy and she creates a fun atmosphere in her classes. She breaks down the moves simply and makes sure you understand how to lead or follow. Nicole teaches all the classic salsa and bachata moves but she also knows the latest moves in all the salsa clubs. She can definitely get you ready to go out dancing!Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, I think Dancer University classes can really help you. Check them out!
Nicole has been my favorite dance teacher! Her explanations are clear and she understands the cues that work for students. She has a knack for teaching and it makes the experience easy and fun. You dont feel or see any of the seams in the lessons when you take her classes; they just flow and you just dance! She has mastered the art of presenting polished and complete lessons. I recommend this experience to everyone!
Dancer University is one the best dance schools in LA. Nicole breaks down the steps really well making it fun and easy to learn. She is super knowledgeable, skilled, and a sweetheart. Ive taken many classes with her in the past and I absolutely loved them!
Nicole is an incredible dance teacher and she creates a very encouraging and welcoming environment! Each class has a lot of content to learn and it definitely takes plenty of practice but its so worth it!Definitely recommend the Bachata 1 classes 🕺💃
Nicole and A-lin were awesome Bachata teachers, who taught me lots of amazing patterns like body waves, madrid steps, head rolls, and rock step. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about other latin styles like Salsa as well. I had so much fun taking their classes!
TLDR?: No need to do any more research, sign up right away, Dancer Universitys got all the right boxes checked!I take both the salsa and bachata group classes, and I plan to stay enrolled basically forever! DU has the best combo of instructors + students + overall offering Ive ever come across. Let me explain:Instructors: Outside of DU, there are many instructors who look great dancing, but arent very good at teaching YOU how to dance. But Nicole & co are great at breaking it down to make everything easy to understand, whatever level you are. Another distinction thats just as important is that other instructors can have a chip on their shoulders, which can really deflate your excitement/motivation. Meanwhile DU instructors are super friendly and inviting, its really important to have a welcoming/encouraging environment!Students: Yes youre here for the teaching, but the students are just as important because theyre who youll be practicing with during and outside of the classes. Maybe its Nicoles positive vibes that attracts friendly/happy students, maybe its the salsa/bachata scene in general, either way youll look forward to rubbing shoulders with everyone. More than that, its kind of a 2nd family. Youll be added to WhatsApp groups, see fellow students at social dancing, at salsa festivals, even group salsa trips!Overall offering: Its rare to find this combo, but DUs got its own studio space for the lessons *PLUS* DU also hosts weekly practice sessions where students from all classes are welcome to practice together (did I mention that the fellow students are great?) *PLUS* DU/Nicole hosts group classes followed by social dancing at a few different venues every week. Basically DUs a turn-key one-stop shop, you simply need to show up :)Bonus: Most people are ultimately interested in social dancing (vs choreographed performances). I love that DU puts attention on social dancing considerations, like musicality, navigating sensual bachata moves, what to do if xyz happens on the dance floor, etc.If youve made it this far, well done, clearly youve got tenacity and arent giving up. Therefore, Im looking forward to seeing you in the classes and on the dance floor soon!
Hands down the best dance studio. Not only does DU teach proper techniques which helped me gain confidence, it also offers such a strong community where I connected so many amazing friends! Strongly recommend
It feels like a family :) I felt welcome and like I had guidance from great teachers and supportive students on my Salsa journey. I appreciate the fact that the studio is open for free practices every Saturday and students in my class would invite me to go out with them when they’d go to clubs like the Victorian in Santa Monica. Love this place! I’m definitely signing up for the next series!
First time dancing bachata with Nicole has been an awesome experience! If you’ve been wanting to try it out, this is the way to go. It’s been a fun, liberating, and exciting experience. Nicole has a beautiful studio, patient with her students, and makes it outgoing for everyone.
I’ve taken a few dance classes in the past from different studios but Dancer University is by far the best! Nicole and Stephen are clear in their instructions and break everything down making the moves easy to follow and comprehend. The atmosphere is always positive, fun and welcoming. I look forward to bachata class each week!
Nicole is a great instructor, dancer and person. Through my personal experience of having her as my dance teacher, I guarantee that she loves her job and she pays attention to details. The way she transmits the class is unique, not only because of her greatness but also of her positive energy! Either you are a beginner or advanced, with Nicole, you will soon feel confident, skilled and ready for the dance floor!! Some say you just need to have passion and feel the rhythm. Some say you just need to know the technique.. Well, with Nicole you will have both!! She is the combination of perfection and yes, I mean it!! Don´t waste anymore time! Join Dancer University! You won´t regret it!!
I really wanted to wait until the end of bachata 1 series to share my review about dancer university but I couldn’t help myself.I have been looking for a good place to dance salsa or bachata on the west side, since I live in Marina del Rey and i have actually attended classes from other instructors but nothing compares to the Nicole’s classes. She is willing to go above and beyond to help every single student understand every movement and combo.Being a beginner, I wasn’t sure how long it was going to take me to learn but after just a few classes, i’ve gained the confidence to go social dancing and practice everything i’ve learned here.Prices are also much better than any other instructor in and outside of the area (trust me, I did my research).I highly recommend signing up! I’m already taking privates and looking to really level up my bachata dancing skills.
The teachers at Dancer University are so encouraging, patient, kind, and just the absolute best! I took a group lesson series with Nicole and some private lessons with Stephen. Can’t say enough great things about them! This place is exactly what I hoped it would be; I would definitely encourage you to check it out!
I came across Nicole Gils IG page and I reached out to her for private lessons and she immediately responded and accepted me as a new student. After one lesson with her I was hooked and I immediately knew I was in the right hands. After 4 private lessons she suggested I jump into her Dance University Salsa Level One group classes and Im so glad I did. Ive had so much fun learning salsa with a group of amazing people who want to learn the same thing. I also appreciate how well connected she is with industry, she is always keeping us up to date with all the new venues where we can practice our new salsa skills. If youre interested in learning salsa, I recommend you give her a call.
I have taken classes with Nicole and learned from her video. After taking classes with a good amount of teachers throughout the US, I can confidently say the Nicole is INCREDIBLE.Her teaching techniques are so smart and clear that literally anyone can learn how to dance with her as long as they possess some dedication and persistency. She is sweet, patient, and always thoughtfully responds to all questions When asked. Oh and, clearly, she is a fabulous dancer.Thank you Nicole for teaching a whole new world to me!
Nicoles classes are always so amazing, and I especially love that these online lessons focuses on social dancing! There are lady styling tips interspersed throughout but Nicole emphasizes how you can style while your dancing socially which is very unique. Overall stellar online lessons in both salsa and bachata.
Been taking Salsa 1 with Chanel and Michael who are amazing instructors. Every class builds up on the prior one and they really take the time to make sure that each individual student has all the moves down. The owner, Nicole is super nice and accommodating to any needs or issues that might arise as far as scheduling conflicts, etc. I highly recommend this studio
Moved to LA and started salsa lessons with Nicole. Life changing decision! She is patient and breaks patterns and movements down, adapting to skill levels of the dancers in class. Her lessons led me to social dancing with more confidence and to dancing in front of an audience. I highly recommend Dancer University, a great place to start your salsa journey, learn new skills, or brush up on the basic technique.
I love dancer university! Nicole is SUCH an amazing teacher! She really has improved my dancing technique so much! I will be a Dancer University student FOREVER and EVER! Taking their classes is the best hour of my day!! :)
Nicole has been my teacher for 3 years now and I must say it has been an amazing experience. Nicole is a teacher with a lot of patience and easy to follow guidance.. I have continued learning with her all this time because of her easy ways of teaching new material and making it super easy for me to learn. I now have my fiancée learning from her as well and we are both very very happy and would highly recommend her !!!! Thank you for everything Nicole !
Nicole and Lior are INCREDIBLE teachers! I have taken several salsa series on the westside and a few random bachata lessons and Dancer University is by far the best instruction Ive ever had. Both Nicole (Bachata 1) and Lior (Salsa 2) break down every move so it is easy to understand and learn. They also give extremely valuable insight on how to pick up on guys cues when out social dancing, which is my ultimate goal. The format of the classes gives us time to practice what we learned and then we also get one on one time with the instructors for feedback on what we learned that evening. I love it so much!
What I think is special about Dancer University is that the female teacher isn’t just an accessory. Most classes I’ve taken, the follow usually doesn’t say a word, while Nicole gives a full explanation of how it should feel for the lead and follow. I love that they show what each move looks like separate from one another, so that we can clearly see what we should be doing. The ladies styling touches, were also a great addition. Really love this course, couldn’t recommend it more!
Nicole and Alayn are one of the best dance instructors Ive ever seen. Their teaching technique is so much fun and easy to follow. I highly recommend them for both salsa and bachata classes... you cant go wrong!!
Nicole and Alayn have the knowledge and skill that is needed to bring you to a level of pure confidence on the dance floor. Ive had the absolute pleasure of being able to take classes with them online and in person and I can say they far exceeded my expectation as instructors.Nicole is a pure joy to be around, clear in her directions, and very attentive to your needs. Alayn works hard to make sure the lead knows how to move and flow through the dance.I dont often write reviews but the professionalism and experience these two bring make it hard not to. If you want to learn how to be confident on the dance floor, learn all the great moves that are sure to impress, and have a great time in the process, please do yourself the favor and take an online class, or in person if you are able.
I did these online salsa classes because in the past I have taken Nicoles in-person classes, and she continues to be the best salsa/bachata teacher in Los Angeles!! (Ive tried quite a few different places!!) She makes things easy to understand, clear and fun. Highly highly recommend.
Nicole is THE best dancing teacher you can find here.I’ve taken classes and attended workshops with many great teachers all around the world, so i’m really confident in my words. If you think about learning Salsa or Bachata, just try it! Trust Nicole, you will not want the classes to end.
Nicoles salsa classes were my all time fav sessions! After I moved, to this day I havent been able to find any classes or communities for adv-beginner-ish (if thats a thing) that compare to the ones she led. I wish I lived closer so I could attend her small group or intensives... though i just may need to make the weekly drive for intensives some time after the new normal stabilizes. In the meantime Ill just need to brush up on the basics with her virtually!
I started at Dancer University with Nicole and never looked back! Her attention to detail and the way she explains moves/patterns helped me sooo much. The community at Dancer University embraced me and now I go out social dancing with them. Look no further. My world got bigger and my salsa is gettin better !
Dancer Universitys classes are wonderful for every level student. Nicole effectively breaks down fundamentals of leading, following, and styling and guides students through patterns that are fun and engaging! Highly recommend these classes.
I love taking Nicoles classes! She is very patient and is super clear with her directions. Afterwards, Im able to instantly apply what Ive learned in a social dance setting. I highly recommend her classes for dancers of all levels.
Update: Every classmate is friendly, welcoming, positive, and I’ve had many. Michael, Jasmine (did 4 classes of Salsa 2), Eliana, are outstanding teachers, always positive, explain things perfectly, help everyone, give great feedbackOld review:Love Salsa 1 group class, Michael goes above and beyond, taken 2 Salsa 1 classes so far
Nicoles classes are amazing! Shes so lovely and her teaching style is really easy to follow. I definitely recommend the progressive group classes for a fun learning environment that really works.
I’ve taken Nicole’s bachata 1 class and I absolutely enjoyed it! She’s a patient, fun teacher, and I look forward to taking her salsa 1 class very soon. Highly recommend taking a class with her :)
Effective. Simple. Consistent.Dancer University gives you a system can show you how to dance within weeks.Learning how to dance is a lifelong process. Salsa and bachata are definitely 2 of the most popular, in LA at least, to dance socially at many clubs in the city. Practice is a huge component to become better over time, and how that practice is conducted will give you the confidence to dance freely with pretty much anyone.Dance University provides just that with providing a system that allows you to learn patterns and practice them thoroughly building week to week. The dancer that practices on their own daily will always stick out as the better student vs those that only practice during class.Another great component is the exclusivity that comes with your sessions. Every session allows you to work with the same leads and follows so everyone learns and grows together giving each other feedback and pointers to move ahead, and everyone is sooooo sweet!.I will definitely be signing up again for another session.
Nicole is an incredibly skilled instructor. She takes time to demonstrate dance moves and teaches unique styling that makes anyone feel like a professional. Highly recommended!
Nicole is an excellent dance teacher and does a great job in breaking down technique and having fun while doing it! She knows her craft and is super friendly and engaging. 5 Gold Stars!!
Great teachers and easy way to meet people! I started with a Singles dance event and have now signed up for two of the group courses. Fun dance community for all ages.
Nicole is very professional and fun at the same time. She is able to key in and help dancers improve immensely. If you take classes with her, you won’t regret it!
Best place to learn salsa (and probably other styles)! Loved the beginner class. Teachers are great…and everyone at the studio is so friendly
Nicole and team are terrific. Fun community and a great place to learn. I especially like how each class in the series reinforces and builds on the class before. Great place to learn foundations for social dancing!
Excellent 1 on 1 and personal touch training. Nicole and her partner have a great chemistry and the classes are filled with fun and learning.I highly recommend this from anybody from a basic beginner off to an intermediate to advanced Im an advanced intermediate myself.
Nicole and Alan are the best!! It is so much fun to learn Salsa with them! Their class concept is great as everyone gets one on one time and feedback at the end of every class! So happy I found them!
I took classes for both salsa and bachata at DU. Amazing instructors, great vibe, learned a lot in just a few weeks. Highly recommend!
I had so much fun taking Bachata 1 and ill be back for Bachata 2! Such a friendly and encouraging environment. Instant friends and community. Nicole is an amazing instructor and community builder!
Stellar experience! Nicole is accommodating and helped by navigating my difficult schedule. Punctual and incredibly polite. I felt comfortable in my lessons and will continue to hire for privates for a long time! Thank you Nicole and Alayn! 👍🏼☺️

Everyone’s so friendly. What a great community of dancers.
Loved the online classes in dancer university. The website is very well organized and the videos are in a logical sequential order to keep challenging but not overwhelm you. I have had a great learning experience.
Nicole is always so patient and kind when teaching. She breaks down the steps to make it as easy to follow as possible and is always willing to go over them if needed. Great teacher!!
I love Dancer University. Nicole is one of the Best Salsa Teachers in LA and her online Program Is Fantastic!
After watching some videos of Bachata online, I decided that this was definitely my pandemic hobby and was going to be a fun escape from work. After doing this weekly with Nicole, I can confidently say this is the most fun Ive had in a really long time, have honestly learned the basics of bachata, and have already built a new community in a new city. Pretty much everything I was looking for.
Nicole and her team are awesome. After taking classes with dancer university youll definitely be ready for social dancing!
Nicole is a great teacher and I loved all of the Bachata classes Ive taken so far!
Loved my experience ! Made the whole process welcoming and fun .
Beginner here! Nicole was very patient and we enjoyed learning from her. Looking forward to more lessons!
