The Eagle in L.A. is a long-standing gay hot spot that caters to a vibrant leather-wearing crowd. With its cheap beer nights and talented DJs, it creates an energetic and lively atmosphere. The bars commitment to inclusivity and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community is evident in the welcoming and friendly vibe. If youre looking for a memorable night out filled with great music, unique fashion, and a sense of belonging, the Eagle is definitely worth a visit.
That was a sad experience. This was my first time at the Eagle Bar in Los Angeles. The gentleman at the front at the front checking ID’s was very kind. And the bartender that had the kilt was kind as well. But every other bartender watch me stand in front of them for quite some time to get a drink., they looked at me and ignored me. But they cater to all the Caucasian men that were coming in after me to get drinks. You figure it out! I am originally from New York, and I know the eagle in New York very well. They would have never did this to anyone. No matter who you are.
My draft was half as much as anothers pitcher, i think they charge different people different prices after saying happy hour prices all day. i dont think you need this energy.
Not a very attractive crowd of guys. Unless you like em with meat on their bones! And, I mean, lots of it. Too many women, also. The real ones and the newer ones. Was a good place in years past but no more.
The best bar for gay men in Silverlake and the best bar for leather and kinky folk in town. Check out their website for daily themes and activities. There is always something interesting going on.
The is nice and low-key place. Refreshing to still have a mans bar in this day an age. Outside unless you want to pay $5.20 for taquitos or $47 for three plates of three, I would keep going.
Eagle LA is one of the best leather bars LA has to offer. The staff is super friendly and very professional. The drinks are reasonably priced and balanced. The patrons are approachable, fun and playful. The atmosphere has the right elements for a great experience. Try it! Im sure youll agree.
Raunchy but good drinks and a patio area for those of us not interested in extracurricular activities can hangout by the pool table! Still it deserves four.
Great bar. Great folks. Great everything!
Much different experience that what I was expecting. I honestly had a fun time. The crowd was very diverse and my friends and I (who are from out of town) were welcomed by everyone.Drinks are greatly proportioned; however, the bartenders should really consider when to cut-off their regulars.
I Love any bar that serves angry Orchard on tap ! Omg I have to go visit this weekend ! Cheers!
Tried-and-true, been my hangout for years. The place Ill always come back too. Great staff (best bartenders in town) and management, usually a fun and/or amusing crowd, good music, good mix of special events, and the always distinct possibility of something truly strange and funny happening, because it usually does. Kind of miss the old name because it was rad (The Gauntlet), but couldnt ask for a better home base.
Today is the second time at this place. The first time was brilliant and thats why I came back. The place is nice and chilled, the first time the server was very nice and helpful. Today I am very dissatisfied with the service we received by the bar server. He was very rude and unpleasant. My friend asked for more orange wages and he literally rolled his eyes to him and gave us such as nasty attitude. Probably today will be my last visit. Or perhaps give it another chance meanwhile Ill visit some other local bars.
I mean it’s the Eagle LA. What more needs to be said about this lowkey raunchy glorious bosom of rock n roll, billiards, and enough more bears than the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.I love this place.Cash only btw but the atm is ever flowing there ❤️❤️❤️
Dont go to this place on Tuesdays and less you want your DJ request turned against you and played after they kicked you out for their own self endowment I requested the music after paying the DJ a tip and he came to the bar claiming I was harassing him. The bartender gladly refunded my money for my beers but the DJs here over the past 10 decades Ive always been and well be taking your music that you request and kicking you out then playing the music you requested as their own like its there playlist for their own advancement here tonight I experienced such things from the DJs I hold sister candy side responsible for these actions this is my review over the past two decades do not expect any changes as you will find the same type of treatment from these people continually I hope Charlie and Hunter responsible for their actions
Lived in la for years! Bad music so bad my friends and I would leave. Requested music and was denied. Snotty bartenders hope they have changed. Bad neighborhood always big problems with crime while parked.
Iconic gay leather bar that was rebranded many years ago to be part of the Eagle franchise. Its the same as its sister bars in SF and NYC. Caters to leather crowd but obviously open to all. The owner is approachable and nice.
Clientele are friendly, beers are good. BUT, watch the dodgy bartender, tried to rip me off $80 when he “forgot” to put the twenties in my change. Seriously, who’s not going to notice $7 in change from a hundred for two beers?
They have a charity box at the entrance and always make it sound like it’s a cover to enter! They should warn visitors it’s not mandatory to pay…Also they only take cash! I wonder why 👀
(Non dj) MATT EFFECT (? - what kind of name is that?) was TERRIBLE on Friday 01/082021. We wanted to dance so bad and trust me, we tried… Well, let’s say he wasn’t hired for his music because it SUCKED, much less for his “ability” because this non dj person could not mix two songs even if his LIFE depended on it. Think a brick rolling down a stairway and that’s just as smooth. Plus he looks weird, so Eagle La continues hot but music wise it is anything but.
The Eagle is a classic gay bar. Its a bit divey, but a lot of fun. There is always a cover on weekend nights ($10), and the establishment is strictly CASH ONLY. Get enough cash before you come, or pay for the expensive ATM inside.
The best service of any eagle i have attended. The staff and owner are awesome people and easy on the eyes. Highly recommend for anyone. The music is great and bands (The COCKS) are awesome.
Local gay dive leather bar. Great happy hour prices on beer. Be nice to the bartenders. And theyll reward you in mixed drinks.
The last of a proper mens gay bar in LA..that hasnt become a drag show...
I lived in L.A. for six months last year this was my first bar in L.A. and I fell right at home met some amazing bartenders and people I miss it alot
Bartenders need to loosen up tbh
Always a good atmosphere. Friendly tenders. Clean. Always seem to have some sort of theme. Has pool tables. Reasonable prices.
I was out with a friend visiting the Eagle Bar for their Rocky Leather Horror Show.. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were there collecting donations to fund A Grant to Help fund the fight against the CURRENT REGIME. Not only is this offensive as a voter (it assumes we all think alike), it offends me as a patron. IS THERE NO PLACE ONE CAN GO TO HAVE A DRINK AND FORGET ABOUT REALITY WITHOUT POLITICS INTERFERING IN IT? Not just politics, but a bunch of unsubstantiated nonsense made up by the Progressive left. SHOW ME WHERE THE CURRENT REGIME has tried to hurt LGBT. I dare you! By the way, in America, we dont call a presidential administration a Regime . Meanwhile, the show SUCKED and so did the night. the best thing about the Eagle are the bartenders which are professional and friendly.
One of my favourite bars in LA, great drinks, awesome music. Started going regularly. You wont be disappointed.
It is the last bar on LA for lether community all bars catering to transgender and fem latino gay guys
Super rude place- I clearly wasnt welcome because I am not a masculine guy. Dirty looks from both staff and patrons. I felt like I went to a bar full of homophobic guys on the verge of coming out.
Very fun night ! My first time ever going to the gay bar. Im definitely coming back. Everyone was so sweet.
I like how open this place is. It has a very laid back feel without anyone trying to be ridiculous. One of my go-to places for a drink.
Shout out to CORY!!! The bartenders here are really great. One of the last places in L.A. where you go to meet men and actually meet MEN!
One of my favorite bars in LA.
I am New To LA, but that place is my kind of Place. fun people, get busy over the weekend, nice patio . Lovely place
My favorite pizza place !
Racism is racism, and hosting parties that are race-specific is racism, also. A second star, as there are fewer women who stink up the place compared to most other bars, but thats it.
It had a very nice and friendly bartender. The crowd, though it was not busy were open and friendly.
Love the vibe!! Absolutely going back on my next trip to Los Angeles
Great time weds night, met an awesome guy wish he didnt disappear, arrgh space cadet where are you
Great neighbor spot. Beer Bust Sundays. Good music on Thursdays. Always fun on weekends
Im glad this place exists even if its not really my scene. The crowd is super welcoming and the staff is nice.
12-5-22, They are open and have been for quite a while despite the owners statement here in Maps.
I really liked it as an out of towner. Feels dirtier and real than the we ho bars. Great for the bear scene.
Friendly crowd, PBR tall boys and decent eye candy. Parking is horrendous though, skip the stress and valet.
Been here awhile ago and only been once. I would actualy go back. Nice prices and chill spot.
Cool spot! Its the Eagle. Not like the old eagle, but the new Eagle, cleaned up and more diverse and inclusive.
Not a good venue. Security do not assist when you are abused and harassed by fellow patrons. Drinks are over priced.
Sunday Funday is the best during warm weather!
A fun place to meet nice people and staff. Nice leather bar always round
More blue collar crowd. Masculine guys. Some leather. Great atmosphere.
Friendly neighbourhood bar. Great crowd and usually a different theme each night.
Nice boozer. Good beer prices. Great djs. Hunky men.
One of the few leather bars left. Lots of fun.
Casual vibe with friendly staff and clientele. Great beer busts.
Very nice Gay Bar friendly help & the customers are cool to
I could go every weekend!
Four for the cover , really. It was chill but kinda place you go if your a local.
Very good vibe and open patio, good music as well
Great club events. Good happy hour prices.
Is the only good eagle in SF?
$8 pitchers for happy hour.
Best damn Leather Bar in LA!
A lot more women here than there used to be. Makes me miss the old days.
Great drinks and good atmosphere!!
It’s cute
Sometimes busy, sometimes dead. Just depends on night/weather/mood
Great leather bar.
The food was exquisite, the IPA was unbeilable
How did I get here? Who drove me home? Where are my friends?
Nice people and cheap prices I love it...
Safe space for all queers alike.
Fun, leather-themed bar.
Best 75 cent table in the neighborhood

It’s the eagle.
Super relaxing, pool tables, spectacular music, super professional and attentive bartenders and the lighting, dark lights relaxing to the senses... IT IS A VERY DECENT GAY ENVIRONMENT.
Good atmosphere, good music, good prices and good people!
