This place is awesome. Security is tight but still allows you to enjoy yourself. The way they had the DJ set up was nice too they had them in the middle of the venue so everyone could be close. It does get hot in there with all the bodies moving around, so if you have one, bring your fan!!. It is a pretty chill spot.

Grabbitz opened for Level Up on my bday here at the former LA Stock Exchange so I had to go and so happy I did! The architecture is so unique bc of what it was originally built for , ironically give this place a perfect show venue. Hot girls? The servers had decent to upper class buttcheeks which I enjoyed watching. The VIP room was small , but sufficient, with large windows and only stair cases for moving about the multiple floors facility.

The low end must have been maxed out because you could not hear the music at all. Subwoofers could not output a baseline or wobble because the crossover must not have been set correctly. Every bass hit sounded the same. If you care about actually hearing music do not go.The bartender was rude and gave us the smallest pour Ive ever seen. This club is a perfect example of an architect who has never been to a club designing a club.

So, I went Saturday night to this club after seeing pics on google. The club was huge and packed. It smelled really bad in the dance floor. The security was very rude. It was 30 per person to get in and they don’t allow you to re enter the club. Overall, one time was more than enough for this place.

An interesting hybrid; an LA club that feels like a rave seems an appropriate description. Despite several reviews to the contrary, security (while very on top of it and thorough) was not rude or unpleasant in the least. The venue itself does NOT disappoint; gorgeously atmospheric, early 20th century architecture, lots of areas to explore, and manages to somehow give you breathing room even with a packed dancefloor. Would I go again? Yup, with the right act performing... The people my friends and I interacted with werent pretentious, and the place had a pretty open vibe, which is a definite bonus... On the flip side, however, minus a star because some of the patrons seemed less than savory and I personally would have been paranoid if I had my wallet in my back pocket (Im talking about you, girl with the obviously found or stolen device in line who asked me to help figure out its connectivity...).

Large venue in the heart of Spring St downtown. Awesome sound and lighting system in the large main room. There are a lot of high level DJs coming through doing shows. There is a side room downstairs with good local DJs. Security is reasonably thorough but I would have expected them to enforce the upscale dresscode a little harder. A beer was not as expensive as anticipated. Good to go to if there is a big artist on. I saw MK, Camelphat and Cassian, who were all great.

We went to Exchange to celebrate a 21st birthday and it was a five star experience. Reserved a table in the mezzanine behind the stage-- great view of the dj and the entire dance floor, the VIP coordinators were extremely helpful and attentive, and the bottle service was on point. The birthday girl was thrilled with the evening, as was everyone in our party. Ive been to three shows at Exchange in the past six months and all of them rocked. Will go here again and again. LA Exchange is the only reason I will come to LA. Im not a huge fan of the hustle and bustle of LA, but this club makes it all worth it. There is secured parking nearby for cheap. The ticket prices at the club are always such a great deal. Huge headliners for affordable prices, yes please. The security is respectful, the staff are friendly, ticketing and entry are easy. And best of all, you feel safe inside with your girlfriends. The sound system is incredible, the vibe is on point, and the confetti canon is brilliant. I usually dont complain much but this was the worst club experience Ive had among the famous clubs in LA. Mostly because of the over over overcrowded venue and the neighborhood. I went there for Zhu with GA tickets. Ill explain more below if you like to know:1: The neighborhood was well crowded at night but sketchy. To me, it was worse than Hollywood blvd area. Parking nearby seems difficult and unsafe (even in the lots). I always prefer driving but dont bother, get an uber! The whole show I was worried about my car!2: There was a huge line with an extra step for GA tickets at 11:45. Took us around 20 mins to get in. However, The security at the entrance were nice (at least, to us). It was so crowded inside that you couldnt even step onto the dance floor. Even standing outside in a corner you could find someone pushing you trying to pass. (Ik this is common for GA but this one was the worst) Clearly, They oversell the show! Dont go there for famous headliners unless youve got VIP access (Idk about their vip quality). At least, try to get there early even if you have tickets.3: Lights were fine but the sound system was awful. Just very loud rattling bass and sharp highs with no mids. No clarity/quality/def.4: (not very important though) The clubs design is stupid and ugly. A bar is located beside the stairway causing a traffic jam! The restrooms are near the smoking area smelling bad.No idea about food and drinks, didnt try.Btw, the warmup DJ, partywithray did a great job!Hope this review helps someone!Insomniac should invest all this money from overselling their overpriced shows on building better clubs in LA

Exchange LA can be hit or miss sometimes, but honestly, I think they have their formula down pretty well. They pat you down at security (which is comforting), and immediately upon entering you are faced with the first DJ room. Always underrated talent spinning and a good refuge from the crowds upstairs at peak hours. However, the second floor is the main draw. Stunning vaulted ceilings, very good acoustics and plenty of bartenders to satiate all needs. On nights with bigger DJs playing, this is not a club I would go to in order to find the love of your life. However, the energy is always high and they continue to bring in top-tier talent on a weekly basis. They feature all different types of electronic genres to cleanse all musical palettes. Drinks a bit overpriced but hey, what are you gonna do?

VIP area has two bars however one is deducted for bottle service tables. Dance floor has one large bar with 3 bartenders typically. Dance floor is overcrowded while VIP area is chaotic. They are Very liberal on the dress code. Drinks are not measured, so either get vodka soda or soda with some vodka. TL:DR- ZERO stars if i could.Over sold tickets lead to overcrowded venue. Horrible area, very rude staff, aggressive security harasses patrons. Overpriced watered down drinks, rip off VIP & bottle service. Two separate hard dance events one bottle service, one GA, and each time was the same unfortunately.Area can seem sketchy to some due to homeless (skid row is 2 blocks over) which you will notice standing in the long lines waiting to get inside. Dress code is complete bull, as Ive seen multiple people in workout attire and even basketball shorts. Venue is constantly oversold & over packed, no ventilation so it is hot. All of the staff are very rude, and security harasses people as well as shove & push through the crowd. VIP & bottle service are a joke as they oversell the venue and let people upstairs, which then blocks the walkway causing security to be aggressive but they are the ones who open up VIP in the first place. Security also likes to accuse sober patrons of being drunk, when I let them know I was in fact not because I dont drink at all, they did not like that and claimed I forgot I was told once when this was our first encounter. 2nd visit I had one drink and it was awful. Drinks are way overpriced and watered down, canned options are horrible as well. Bartenders refused to make a simple lime margarita and instead had a small menu to order off of. Ordered the Watermelon mojito and it tasted like fruit juice, not a hint of alcohol. Sound is also horrible, downstairs is distorted and upstairs is not loud enough. Do NOT recommend very horrible service and venue overall!!!

It consists of a four story venue with multiple rooms that include seven full service bars, a large dance/event room, a VIP room with a great view, and intricate hallways accommodating up to 1500 guests. I have been coming here for several years to experience live DJs and some high-end events and every time Ive had a great time. They cater to a lot of different music genres and are very culturally diverse. The bouncers outside can be a bit intimidating but they are very nice and welcoming once you are greeted in. The visuals are decent, but are the average LED displays and other lights you would expect from any other club, but no special 3D mapping or anything else that would blow you away. The sound quality isnt amazing, but it still sounds pretty good compared to some of the other nightclubs in the area. Drink prices are typical for a LA club.

I am a fan of many artists who play at this venue and the visuals are top notch, however I have had multiple issues with the incredibly rude staff at this club. Misdirection with which line to stand in for entry (and then forced to change lines after making it all the way to the front due to their own misdirection, and I made sure to confirm multiple times). I had a previous issue where I set my drink down on the counter and it was thrown about by staff right behind my back and they refused to replace it. The “hosts” and “promoters” at the front are absolutely rude and ungrateful for the business they receive and I have not once heard a “Thank you for coming” or “have a good night” when leaving the place. The volume is also excessively loud compared to any other club I’ve been to. I have not had any of these issues when attending any of the other local nightclubs and they are all grateful for my business.

Exchange LA is one of the better clubs in LA. Although it still has some of the pretentiousness of most LA clubs, the space itself is beautiful and spacious and the architecture itself is pretty cool. One note, try to come early if youre on a guestlist for a main DJ. 30 minutes usually doesnt cut it (we didnt get into an Arty event until an hour and a half wait) although females, like most clubs, will get the better deals than guys. The main dance floor is bigger than most LA club venues with enough space to move around and not feel squished and the lighting not feeling too dark. The music is loud and popping with an upper VIP area that is easy to access and still see the main act. Drinks are fairly normally prices (+$10 for most drinks). Parking-wise, aim for the lots on adjacent streets for about $5-$10 parking on regular nights.

So my group and I decided to follow the great DJ Kaskade on his tour weekend in LA. EXchangeLA is a massive venue with a warm and Downtown vibe. The artwork and magnificent marble walls up the staircase leading into the castle with 80 ft ceilings beautifully architected in the main room. Lasers and flawless sound pumping from Funktion one speakers give you the feel of space travel and a thunderstorm of energy traveling through your ears and body. The set of DJ Kaskades was remarkable as expected. We had plenty of fantastic drinks from our two bartenders Christopher and Stephanie. Then when the night was over some generous people invited us to their table to help finish their Vodka bottles. Great night full of wonderful memories. Will be back again for sure to dance and party.

So its been awhile since Ive attended this club and I came for the Duke Dumont set. I purchased a VIP ticket which included my entrance, access to all floors, 3 premium cocktails and unlimited water and red bulls until 2 a.m. which I figured was a good deal. When I arrived the first room near the entrance was cool, we grabbed our drinks and water there. When we went to the main floor the bartenders would not give us water and said we had to go to upstairs VIP to get water which was weird considering the first room served us.We get upstairs and they seriously sold so many VIP entrances it definitely did not feel like VIP. it was cramped like the GA floor, we were getting yelled at by security to clear a walk way when we were waiting for drinks and nowhere else to stand. We got to hang in a booth for a min until someone bought it and when it was purchased, this older lady came in and yelled at us saying you guys need to get out now! Cmon, lets go, right now and my friend was looking for her jacket and as she was looking this rude older woman yelled at her and said you need to go!even after my friend said she was leaving but was just looking for her jacket, and the older woman said I dont care this booth had hern sold! I told her she didnt need to be so rude that were not stalling, were collecting our stuff and if shed be more helpful I stead of being rude she could shine a light and help the process. She looked tired, over worked and miserable so maybe she took it out on us. Anyway I was disappointed on how crowded they allowed the VIP area to be considering I paid over 100 bucks for my wristband. Which i would never do for a downtown night club. I couldnt even really see Duke dumont , of course i enjoyed his music but i think VIP experiences should be for people who are genuinely there for the artist and the want to enjoy the experience, but this place is clearly money hungry cause they waaaayyy over packed the place. We eventually found our way to Tue 4th floor and it was much more pleasant. But I really doubt I will come here again for another big headliner. Glad I got to hear Duke Dumont though.

I went here to see Late Night Alumni and BT. The venue itself isnt very large but what I did love was the sound system they have. It is AMAZING! Well sounds amazing as long as whomever is performing regulates the volume well. The performances were great. I didnt like that drinks were extremely expensive, as so is the water. The sounds system they have really adds an extra oomph to the music. The only time I had a complaint about the system wasnt even the venue itself but the performer. I believe it was Myon performing. The guy was a bit of a douche, he turned the volume all the way up to the point that my ears hurt really bad. Its like he was so cocky about his music he turned it up twice as much. I had to leave the room and go into the other room they had to give my ears a break. So did alot of other people. It still sounded loud being in the next room over. Had to get toilet paper to put in my ears. The guy also started replaying songs that the other band had played. His performance was really stupid. So if you go watch him.. beware. Other than that. Its a great place and prices in ticketing are fairly decent.

The expansive facility provides great sound and spectacular lighting.Opening in 1931, following the Great Depression of 29, the elegantly designed Los Angeles Stock Exchange projected the confidence California needed. Today, the marble and polished brass, and the expansive trading floor provides an upscale entertainment setting. As you would expect, the music is loud, with rich bass and a clean upper register. There is no distortion here. The four story building has lots of stairs and a backstage elevator. A large skybox offers an unobstructed view of the stage, and contains a private bar. (The backstage elevator transports VIPs and those with a handicap.)The bathrooms, located on the first floor, are large and wheelchair accessible.Cell phone and internet reception is poor, at least on Verizon. This is downtown LA so parking is expensive. Let me start by saying Im not a high brow person and I will never pretend to be. This place tries way too hard to be the club of LA.No club will ever be worth waiting as long in line as I had to for this. Not to mention the fact that if you are a guy, you WILL pay. No matter what. Like, I had a friend DJ-ing this and was supposed to get in for free, but the bouncers were gracious enough to only ask to charge me for half of the whole cover charge (which apparently varies on who you are and what group you show up with between $40-$50, a higher amount if you show up by yourself as a guy, or with a group of just guys). Furthermore, why the heck does a club charge this much if they cant even get an actual credit card machine? Do I really have to pay $3 at your ATM to get the cover to get in your club? The answer is no. Because no club is worth this amount of BS.Club culture profits from making part of or everything feel exclusive, when the truth is: youre in a big room with loud music that you could go anywhere for. People, save your money and go to Bootie LA. Its $10, and the best crowd and music youll experience for some real fun. But hey, if youre insecure enough about your personal life to feel like you have to drop over $100 in one night at one place to affirm that you had a good weekend, thats youre own business.

Overpriced, understaffed, rude and abusive bouncers, and elusive management.I dont ever write reviews for locations, but in the case of Exchange LA I have to let people know about how disappointing and abusive my experience was. I went to ExchangeLA with my friends and girlfriend for my birthday thinking it would be great. We got VIP passes, a table, and got seated. The first part of the night was OK but nothing special.Eventually, when towards the end of the night I got quite drunk so I was helped by security to their Care room to be helped into a taxi. My girlfriend, who wasnt that drunk, along with my friend come with and let the paramedic who was there know that she was my GF and would be staying with me. At that point, my GF put my wallet and phone into her bag for safekeeping. After a while in the care room, a bouncer came in and started to act suspicious. He asked to see my ID and when my GF took out my wallet to find my ID, he saw that I had some money inside. At that point, he stopped asking for ID and wanted the wallet to be handed over. My GF, who felt it was very suspicious he suddenly wanted the wallet, didnt want to hand it over so the bouncer started to verbally abuse and even threatened to arrest her. When she still refused, the bouncer tried to restrain her and pin her against the wall before reaching for the wallet. Thankfully, at that point the paramedic (who just stood there and watched for the most part) tried to step in. And once my other friend noticed he grabbed us and put us into a taxi right away. When I came back to complain the following day, the manager refused to tell us the name of the bouncer and simply said to call management. So I called management and was told that the main manager wasnt in. I told the assistant what happened and she promised me that she would tell the manager and he would call back by the end of the day. At the end of the day, I never received a call so I called them back. She said that she didnt know where he was and I should call back later. Two days later I called again, and she still said she didnt know but would email all the info to the manager and other personnel in management. The following week I didnt hear a response so I called them again and got a different person. She said that she, nor the manager, ever received anything from the first lady so I told her the full story again. Eventually, another week later, I managed to get in contact with the manager who said that he would look into it and get back to me by the end of the week.I never received a call or message that week and when I called back the following week the assistant said he was busy and would call me back when he was done. This cycle continued until finally the manager gave me a call. Unfortunately I was busy at the time so I told him to email me and I gave him my email. He never did. Eventually I found his email and emailed him once a week but never received an answer. It took almost 2 months to finally get in contact with him and have him give us his analysis. He said that they did nothing wrong and my GF was the one who was fully suspicious so they were just thinking in my best interest. They even claimed that she snuck into the care room and took my phone and wallet from me.There are much better clubs in Los Angeles. Save yourself the trouble and dont go here. The bouncers dont care for you at all and the management will do whatever they can to avoid taking responsibilities. I never even got the champagne that I paid for.

I like this club if you are in the mood for a loud sound system experience that reminds you of going to a rave when you were in your early 20s. Once in awhile, one just needs to let loose, so this is a good option.

Typical LA nightclub in a cool, historical building, overrun by Asian dudes. Don’t forget your leather jacket! $7 for a small Fiji water.

If i could give this club zero stars i would, this club is full of idiot security guards, they decided my friend didn’t look like her ID and it clearly was her, the guy claimed to have ten years of experience with checking IDs but he clearly doesn’t and explains why he hasn’t moved up in life and still works at a pathetic club, we had to call the cops to get it resolved.

Horrible Club, security at door are the most uneducated, unprofessional young hoodlums with no class, and dont even think that other staff will ever help you they will harrass you and kick you out thinking their best interest is the customer attendee. Will make a complait and hope they take disiplinary actions, of course not, they will lier
