Really great bar to see live music.I don’t drink and neither does my boyfriend and they charged us for every single refill or coke. Being non drinkers we always tip really well and it was disappointing to see that they charged us like that and they also included tip on the tab (which was less than what we would’ve left) so all that was disappointing.Other than that- overall great vibe and fun place.**edit for the comment from The Mint- I’m a musician who is at 3-4 live music venues every week and this is not something that venues practice. Either way you should tell people you’ll be charging them $6 for every Coke- I know I wouldn’t have ordered more if I knew that.
First time here. Came to see Six Gun Sal. They were great. Sound in the venue is good. Love the lay out and space, including the dance floor. To sit at a table or booth, its $20 minimum per person for food and drinks. Wasnt thrilled with that. I paid a cover to get in, not really wanting to have to pay another $20 to sit down. Street parking available. Back parking area is very small. If youre loading or unloading gear, you need to park on the street and come down the alley. There is a super cool, detached room next to parking area where band can hang out, tune guitars, eat etc. Really liked that.
Small place, but with a lot of character. This Bar and restaurant in LA usually encourages young talented musician to perform there. We actually visited there as we were supporting the performance of a dear friend. They have a lovely line up practically every day of different talent which is nice to engage with and encourage. To our surprise the food was also simple - but delicious, good drinks and not expensive. Can become a regular hangout for someone who lives close by.
The Mint is everything great in a local music bar. A large bar to order drinks, comfortable booths to sit and watch a band, a large dance floor, and great drinks. The history of this place is amazing. I can remember seeing Brian Setzer and having him walk over and do shots with us. Our visit to watch Guitar Jack was a flashback to my party days of yore. Even the food is classic ‘bar food’.
Tried to reserve a table and after being told Id know in 24 hours I found out 48 hours after calling the venue that I couldnt make a reservation. Theres only 10 tables and 6 booths so no wonder. Tried to order food and it was cold. The doors were ment to open at 7:30pm and opened at 7:40 while the valet asked who parked in the front because he was late. We left because it sucked so bad. Didnt even make it past the opening act before we left.
This place packs so much music history and LA culture iconography that if you’re a musicophile or love a good bar with a personality, this is definitely the spot to hit up for sure. You’ll be greeted an iconic mural of Charles Bukowski who lived in the Pico neighborhood and frequented The Mint in his day. Once you make it into the club the decor, staff, sounds and smells and lighting will tell you the story that’s entirely yours to tell. Either way, it’s a memorable music joint. Check in sometime.Definitely Hope to come back and check out the vibe during Grammy week.P.S. Plenty of street parking if you’re driving btw.
First time coming here and we had a blast. Solid steak burrito. We tore into half of it and after drinks and music it was crushed at the hotel. Music was fantastic, absolutely perfect evening. Drinks were going down smoothe and coming fast. Very cool vibe here. Music sets the scene so just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Great performers, great atmosphere. Cant wait to go back.
A historic Los Angeles music venue with the best audio experiences that this city has to offer. A perfect combination. Make sure you are hungry, this bar not only has a full menu of drinks, but also popular bar foods that compliment the drinks flawlessly.
Enjoy the music and drinks here very fun place
This place is an LA icon. The staff was great! The drinks were good and Parking wasnt bad.
Outstanding local nightclub in an area where there are not many. Great sound, great staff, great food and drinks. TC and Curtis run a really fun place to eat drink and meet people. Great music too!
Great spot. I had a blast here. Food was a little spendy, but all the food we had was good. I tried the french fries, calamari and the mac n cheese, all were bomb. We had a nice booth in full view of the stage. Entertainment was awesome. Bathroms were reasonablely clean. I cant wait to return.
What a great venue if youre coming to see your favorite band, singer, or rapper. I was there. To see Wax!!! And it was so cool to see him so up close! Highly recommended for music venue. The bar was great... full bar but gets crowded, FYI.
Good vibes and good crowd, coupled with the opportunity to catch some sets from local artists - cant beat it! Drinks a little pricey but strong pours offset that imo. Recommend checking this place out for sure 😎🤙🏼
Best place to see live music in Los Angeles. Located on Pico Blvd and Crescent Heights Blvd. They always have big names for small prices. Very small club.
Visited this place recently for the first time. Was pretty nice inside and the food very decent. I wasnt happy to pay $4 for a soda that was mostly ice and gone in a few sips, but other than that, not bad.I like this place because it is close. They have some pretty cool events sometimes, but a random night is definitely a toss-up as to seeing somebody who can perform.
Dont give them your debit card. They will charge u way more. Way more. $200 for 5 drinks. Never going back
Had the best time at the mint our waitress Sue is a total doll shes super sweet and fun love the vibe here and the food oh wow it was so good. Now the drinks are about $18 a pop but trust me these are some stiff drinks so theyre well worth it. This is my first time here and I had attended for the Keith Harris experience which was a great showcase man my cousin and I had a great time A Night to Remember for sure hats off to the mid for having exceptionally well service great food amazing drinks and the best entertainment yet.
Great venue for live music, particularly on Sunday night, which is jazz night. Food/drink selection is also solid but Im docking them one point because my gin & tonics have not been properly balanced on a couple of occasions. Overall, great venue and I look forward to going back.
Really fantasic gem of a music venue, great food and full bar, but what really makes this place awesome is the people who work there, what a great group of people from check in to service through security and bar, everyone is AWESOME. Had the best time will be back often!
Went to see a few bands Saturday. A pretty solid group. The staff was friendly and quick to serve and help. I wish they had better glassware for the decent whiskey selection they had but thats just me nitpicking for my specific preferences. Parking was decently easy but it was also not too crowded inside. Not a bad place to play if youre a band wanting to spread your wings.
One of the best venues for awesome music in Los Angeles. Amazing sound team. Great food and drinks. Parking is on the street.
My partner and I went for the Quarters of Change concert. Upon arriving we were greeted by a line (6:40PM). Google states a 7:00PM opening time and the concert stated a 7:45PM start but doors and admission did not start till roughly 8:10PM, so times were a bit confusing for us. Show up early if you want a good place to stand/sit. If youre okay with standing/ sitting at the bar (~10ft from stage) then you can go near admission time. Staff were nice and the venue was cozy and had many lights and a live DJ before the live performance. There is an option to reserve tables in advance so if that interests you do that. Loved the performance and I have no complaints about the venue other than it can be a bit hot during a live band performance. Beers were about 8-12$ each.
This is a VERY intimate venue. The bar service was quick for the volume of people they were serving. A major plus about the venue was that you could go in and out during the show to smoke or whatever and they had some tables out there as well. They also didnt seem to mind the people with their herbal remedies outside the venue, which was cool. The only reason I didnt 5 star the venue is because of the layout during the show. Its like half seating half standing. The booths were nice to have around the edges but the tables in front of half of the stage made it kinda awkward to get into the show.tldr: Cool venue but there were tables on half of the floor in front of the stage.
Happened upon this venue with a pair of tickets from a colleague and the acoustics, decor and staff are absolutely fantastic. If there’s an act your interested in seeing and they happen to be performing here? It’s a MUST that you attend!
Lots of fun but the dressing room for the artists had the FOULEST ODOR EVER! It was really bad, almost unbearable. The staff was great though! After the live performance, the Dj played a song I requested as it was my and my husbands 4 year wedding anniversary! Thanks guys! We really appreciate you!
Live music makes this place 5 stars.
The Mint almost always has a door fee PLUS a $20/per person food/drink mandate if you sit at a table - so keep that in mind. For whatever reason, they make a scrumptious mac & cheese and the buffalo wings are super good too. Sometimes I uberEats their mac because its that good.
Wow! Great vibe, awesome people, great food and I will support this venue moving forward! Kate Delos Santos & decent people slayed it!
I have passed the venue several times over the year. Finally had a reason to visit. My good good girlfriend invited me to The Amy Winehouse experience, THAT SHOW WAS ROCKIN!!!!The venue gave a British pub vibe style, close quarters but some booth and table sitting. We would have rsvp for the seats. Drinks are reasonable price and the staff was efficient
Great live music venue with more than 70 years of History. Friendly place, good sound system, cover varies but drinks are reasonable. You can sit at the bar, or choose a booth along the sides of the club or a table in front of the stage. There is a menu with reasonable prices and quite good pub-style food
Had a great time here however check your receipts the bartender charged me a $10.80 gratuity on my bill which should have been $60 and I left her a tip on top, asked her why she added the gratuity she said because I spent over $50, when do you get charged to spend your money? Lol my other group of friends spent over $50 and she didnt add the gratuity to them something is not right here. And it was only 3 of us not 6 I brought 2 margaritas and a double shot of Hennessey.
Og live music establishment. Live music most nights. Parking can be difficult but worth it. Prices are better than avg. Its got a cool vibe.
Note: I was here for a private event so my experience may not be typical. The venue was very nice and cozy. It was able to support a large number of people well. The drinks were very good. The bartenders were very knowledgeable in their drinks. Its the first time I never had to explain what an LA Water is. The wings were really good as well. I remember that I had something else, but I was too drunk to remember what that something was. I want to say calamari. Either way, it was a nice venue with good food and drinks.
Weird setup lol if you don’t pay for a booth you just stand in the middle of the club lol hot as hell, band members started de-clothing due to how hot lol great music tho! Keep booking heat, almighty Mint
Great music. Pleasant seating. Delightful Philly Cheesesteakand fries. Good wings. Dont get their specialty drinks like the old fashioned or the pomegranate marg--not very good. Simple mixed drinks are spot on.
REPLY: The Mint refuses to pay and also refuses to provide any information that relates to payment. Awful venue that just likes to rip off artists, stay far away if you want to be paid what was agreed upon. They agree to pay bands that play at their venue then dont pay afterwards.
Played a show to a packed house of strangers. It was great! Good venue, great sound, would love to play again soon!
A fun place on a Friday evening. Pretty laid back. Easy to relax with a cocktail and enjoy some good music.
Long time frequenter of their jazz night. Great music, great drinks, great people!
I have gone to this place several times now and have been highly impressed with everything about this place. Smiley servers that keep your glass filled and plate warm.Entertainment has always been so worth the reasonable cover charge. If you get a chance check out these great bands such as - Raquel Rodriguez and the Big Guys.Love the show and the club...
It is a very intimate and cozy. I went to see Andre Cymone, Stone Mecca and JEJ. We reserved a table because we were going to be hungry after work. They have a small American fare menu. We ordered buffalo tenders with fries. The chicken was over cooked and hard as a brick. Our waitress didnt come back until the next act. In The Mints defense, it was super crowded and I only saw the one waitress. So maybe they were under staffed for this event. But the music was good and a great time was had by all. They dont have a parking lot or valet. But there is plenty of street parking if you get there 15 to 20 minutes before the event. I just wished the food was better because I was super hungry.
Ive been going to this venue since the 80s absolutely the intimacy and service (most time except when understaffed)Food is usually excellent Entertainment is a great bang for your buck Well worth a visit for great music! The venue it self is small but comfortable even at capacityIt has my recommendation.
Cozy intimate place, sort of old fashion, very small. I saw Change Cann on Thursday night and a few other unknown acts. Chantae did not disappoint, she gave 1000% to the performance, the band was superb 😍😍. The Mint has very good customer service, the waitress was very attentive and sweet. I like it here because of its quaintness.😀. I will visit again.
Lovely local venue with food and drinks! We saw Simply Three and they were fantastic. The venue seemed a bit understaffed and it took forever for the waitress to take our orders, however. She also messed up our receipts in the end. Again, dont really blame her as she seemed to be the only waitress working the entire floor.
Always a good time with AB hosting a comedy show. Their drinks are made well, and for a bar they have pretty decent food. I always love the ambiance and crowd. Keep doing what youre doing Mint!
Decent food. Full service bar. The drinks are slightly overpriced and on a Sunday night they are charging a $10 cover to see bands, AND they request a two drink minimum or food order to occupy tables. The staff is even kind of pushy about it. Constantly interrupting asking if you want anything, while you are clearly trying to watch the band. One or the other is even pushing it on a Sunday night. If they didnt charge a cover they would probably make more money since there really isnt any competition in this area. Nice atmosphere.
They don’t pay the bands that play even though on a good night they make a minimum $1,500 with the $15 door and $10 online sales. They say they’ll pay you but they wont, make money for your time and effort, play elsewhere.
The Mint is a great club to hear some raw and live music. Youll end up paying at least a $5 cover and about $20-40 in drinks if youd like to sit at a table or booth. Its possible to get a bar seat, but get there early as they fill up fast.Street parking is always available. Have your IDs ready! They check & stamp wrists for re-entry.
The music and environment was good. But I was very upset to find that it wasnt enough to buy a ticket, you also have to buy 2 drinks or a meal just to sit down. The website should have at least told me this as I already came in from eating dinner, and wasnt in a drinking mood. The drinks were pretty poor in my opinion, I think I became more sober as I drank. In addition to all this a large rat ran through the crowd. Id give this place a 1, but once again I did enjoy the music if anything else.
No parking but worth trying to find parking to get to this well known venue that had featured many up and coming local artists trying to make it big time. Food is average bar food level, drinks can be strong depending on bartender, restroom space is bar size. Often a cover charge is at the door to get in. Park somewhere on or near Pico Boulevard and be ready to walk a block or two.
Its okay. Not the greatest stage for a band to perform and not the greatest or most comfortable room to enjoy a show, but the place is well known for years and it is what it is. The bar has some rather good craft beers on tap.
About one third of the audience had to stand for the duration of the evening. A bar stool was found for Eric McCormack of Will and Grace but the rest of us commoners had to stand. Had I known this, I wouldnt have bought tickets. Will not go again unless the performer is retiring.
My internship for Spring quarter was as HunnyPot Live which is every other Monday at the Mint. That night is all ages, no cover and incredible music artists! Plus they have the best Philly Cheesteaks and wings in all of Mid City Los Angeles!
Im a member of a travelling band from Austin, TX. WE DID NOT GET PAID. If you or your band are coming through Los Angeles DO NOT BOOK HERE. We had a good crowd and a positive reaction as did our co-touring band, yet we both were still denied compensation beyond a single drink ticket. The staff were constantly relaying our questions and concerns to a largely absent and entirely incompetent manager. When we asked the bar management about payout he referred us to the door person. If you have any experience with bars and venues Im sure your aware that management handles payments, not employees. When confronted with his own misdirection the bar manager claimed we signed a contract establishing specific criteria for payment. NO ONE SIGNED OR SAW ANY SUCH CONTRACT.Regardless of the fabricated contract we fulfilled our obligations as performers and received nothing but unprofessional disregard and dismissive indifference. As a travelling act we need payment to sustain our work, THE MINT LA WILL NOT PROVIDE THIS.The bottom line is we both played a fantastic show to a packed and supportive crowd (with the help of a great sound man) and were treated horribly.I would like to say purely angry and detrimental things about The Mint but convinced myself it was more important to spread this information. Hopefully other performers will see this and all other reviews we submit and completely forget about wasting their time with this terrible and dishonest venue. This is a BAD BUSINESS and all of The Mint staff involved in our fiasco should be ashamed. This place is one step away from being a full out scam, along the lines of pay to play and other predatory and immoral practices.I COULD NOT BE MORE UNHAPPY WITH THE MINT.
The mint is a great venue for small intimate concerts. If you know the artist performing will sell out get there early. For parking its going to be street meter parking but it should be easy to get a spot depending on the day of the week and time. There is a bar in the back and if youre at a table/booth they have servers to get you drinks. There is a food menu as well.
Food was not good at all. their pieces of chicken tenders were do dry (for $12 you get 3 pieces with fries) we choked on it so bad. had to give it back and we were told its because we didnt choose to put the buffalo sauce on it.... so youre trying to cover up the old meat? They offer cocktails for $13. Every other Monday there is a show; starts usually 9pm. there was only 1 waitress and 1 bartender so be patient to wait for your order.
I hadnt been to The Mint for about 25 years (I lived out of state) and just went to see Midnight Oil. The place hasnt changed, which is a good thing. All the seats are good and the sound is great. The only thing to complain about are the small restrooms (long lines). We will be back for many more shows.
Husband and I visited LA for a few days and wanted to listen to live music and get a bite to eat. We research places and decided to try The Mint. They had a concert with four bands and tickets were only $12/ea.We purchased tickets online and made reservations for a table. The Mint doors were suppose to open at 7 pm and concert to begin at 7:30pm on Sat night.Cons: The doors opened late, outside thd nightclub looks sketchy, soft drink was flat, and 4th band wasnt so great.Pros: Great experience overall, food was good and large portions, cocktail was good, intimate nightclub experience, three bands were great and played variety of music, dj was awesome playing great jams in between band sets, server was friendly and responsive, nice seating throughout, and dance floor if you want to shake a groove thing.
Had reservations. Was given a nice table with a good view of the stage. Ordered were enjoying ourselves. Then were told we had to move because industry people wanted the spot. Was given a terrible table. Never been back.
I had a blast seeing Cowboy Mouth live before I left Los Angeles. This venue is small, but it is great for the right kind of show. I recommend going to a concert or two here!
Cool venue my son was playing hereConner Stevens you can check him out on Spotify Conner Stevens album Welcome to Life. The Mint is cool since 1937 great for live music. Cant wait to go back.
Fun place for live music small quaint definitely feel the artistic vibe in this place. I had a blast when I went to see Trevillain he was sick and the venue was too. I always enjoy time when it comes to music you should too.
A bar/concert venue... Old school in every respect. Fantastic musical acts all the time. Catch Cubensis there for a real treat. Friendly staff, fairly priced generous drinks. This is one bar in L.A. that you can go to alone and not feel alone.
Never have I ever been treated so awful by any single other venue/promoter or human being in general in my entire musical career. If you contact them about something important they wont respond but hey if you dont respond to one of their threats they will go out of their way to attempt to blacklist you from every other show you have in the future. This is an entirely unprofessional establishment and I would advise anyone in the future to perform elsewhere.
Went to the show last night and had a great time love that you can see all different kinds of music in one place however Jasmine Crowe was my favorite hands down last nite. The mint also has great food and drinks plus its not too pricey!
The musicians here are wonderful! No matter the genre. The people who play here put on a wonderful show! The food is basic bar food but the drinks are notable. This is a great local hang out.
The Mint is a very respectable venue as far as paying and communicating with the artists that will perform. The food here also has no business being as good as it is 😋
Took a walk with no final destination in mind. This joint caught my eye and my ear. You could here the lovely live music from the ave. Not the cheapest place.Good stuff isnt known for being cheap though ! Bartender lady could be less dry but hey ,cant have everything I guess? Check this spot out, good time guaranteed
Great venue to catch local artists. The size is perfect for an intimate show and ambiance is warm and cozy. Bring your dancing shoes, it gets rocking in there
This was an o.k. bar. It was a little frustrating that they couldnt make regular drinks like a bloody Mary, long island, margarita or even a jack and coke. They bar tenders will create concoctions based on your emotions or the flavors you are craving such as spicy, savory or sweet. It was just a bit too hipster for my liking. Also they do not sell food and there is no restaurant that is conveniently near by. The plus side is that they will let you bring in your own food if you would like. Nice bar tenders it just wasnt really a place for me.
We had a blast here seeing Davy Knowles. The club is small, but they have it all, great ambiance, decent pub food and good drinks. Really thats all you need! Cheers!
...this is, hands down, one of the BEST JAZZ VENUES in Los Angeles. The entertainment is always outstanding, the staff is great, so is the food and wine ETC.!!
Great venue to see a show. Suggest to reserve a table unless you prefer to stand as there is limited seating at The Mint.
Love this place. Beautiful venue, great sound. Ive seen many shows here and have been fortunate to play my own music love here too. 🤠
Classic small venue with tons of talent on the stage. Great service, friendly and committed management and staff, excellent bar food. Well priced shows. Good sound.
A very chill old joint that hosts some fine musicians, with very good food and drinks. The people tending bar, are awesome!
The Mint is an excellent and historic place for live music. They welcome all types of artists and musicians, as well as fans. This is a great place to perform whether you are starting out as an artist, or building your way to mainstream level.
Loved the intimacy of the bands and how close the people were to them. The service at the bar was horrible, the bartenders tended to certain people only until after waiting for 10 mins in the front of the bar, my significant other and I were served. Bartenders at the mint, get off your high horse.
Great life music venue in to hear a range of musical genres. This night I caught Santana’s música director Benny Reitveld with his band jamming some cool fusion of many musical genres. The venue is intimate and from every seat you are close to the stage. Able to see the intricacies of a performance.
1.0 star rating 5/15/2017Todd Christiansen as the owner of The Mint, you should be ashamed of yourself. Ive lived in LA for 15 years and Ive NEVER experienced service as appalling as the waitress who works for you with short, dark hair on Saturday night (May 13th). My husband and I gave her our food orders at the same time. Mine arrived in 20 minutes-his arrived an hour later. While she did apologize for putting his order in late she then proceeded to lecture us that she has worked at the Mint from the beginning and has never heard of the garlic aioli we asked for when she asked us if we needed anything else. We had to show her this is WRITTEN ON YOUR MENU-and comes with the garlic fries. She practically threw it at us both when she brought it to us. Bad attitude, sloppy service. First and last time we will ever go to the Mint-and we ordered food, drinks and were there to support our dear friend Alma Lake who was performing there on Saturday night! Very, very disappointed at your waitresss horrible attitude. I called after we left and left a message for the manager-but of course, no one has called me back.
Great place. Fun atmosphere! A small cozy place with lively art. They support alot if local LA groups. Friendly crowd and good service.
Robert Glasper at The Mint. First show this past weekend. Lupe Fiasco came out and banged it out. The Mint itself never been before and Ill be back. Small intimate but gets warm up in there and its standing room only with as what I saw about 6 or 8 reserve booths. Overall enjoyed Glasper and friends. Anytime he hits L.A. Ill be there. No doubt.👍🏾
Great venue Good food (had the Cobb salad ... huge) great waitstaff Amazing talent tonight Sound system is perfect crowd super cool Great times in this iconic Dive Bar Music Food venue been coming here since I worked with The BusBoys.
Saw a show here. Cool vibe. Standing room mostly. Good acoustics. Dont think I could spend much more than an hour or two there but worth stoping in. Very historic.
Honestly the staff itself were quite fresh, if youll pardon the pun! The music performances are some of the best times Ive had with a close friend
Came all the way to Hollywood to feel at home here. Elle Varner w/J.Brown performed in a packed club with the crowd vibing. Both performances were great...and I cant forget about DJ Wyld Chyld.
I mean... This place is legendary! Great music. Free on certain nights. Good food and drink. Just a great local night out!
Love this place with great live music and tasty food. Highly recommend for night out.
Dark walls, lots of stage lights and idealistic posters anout harmonious living, and all peoples getting along. Tasty beers on tap like Modelo Especial and Bitzberger. Only $5 cover charge for a radical band named Alarma. Very infectious cumbia beat had people dancing.
Really good live music in a spacious bar with friendly bar tenders. All the food we tried was spot on too. Would definitely recommend.
Security guard acted extremely disrespectful & pushed me for no reason. He let his ego get the better of him.Dont push someone when they literally are doing as you ask. Extremely unprofessional.Sat Aug 7th.The ticket women was normal & polite.
Saw the band Cable Car here last night--they were awesome! The bar is good, the drinks not too expensive. Nice place to see some good music!
Awesome blues club in L.A. Small space inside and depending on the show you may need to reserve tables and even seats at the bar as its otherwise standing room only. Plenty of street parking.
Ok for a hole in the wall performance spot, a coupled crowd, not favorable for the single scene. The band that performed, are just that, performers, I wont judge talent because I couldnt do any better, but the overall atmosphere breathes meritocracy
PLEASE READ THIS!!! IF YOURE ARE GOING TO SEE Gilbert O Sullivan!I heard this song recently of his recent song named Clair and im wondering what the meaning of the song truly is. PLEASE IF YOU SEE HIM ASK HIM AND REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. The song revolves around him loving a 3 year old child of an old boss of his. I dont want to believe its a bad thing but i just want to make sure.
Saw SayWeCanFly there just now and loved how close you can be to the artists. It makes it feel more intimate and real. Loved it. Very comforting in the room, in general.
Excellent Door services.SERCURITY...WAS FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS...THEY ESCORTED SEVERAL PEOPLE OUT DUE TO SAFETY ISSUE..THEY EVEN CLEARED TABLE NEAR ENTRANCE AND SWEPT Broken glass on THE FLOOR ....The Show was Awesome..The Bartender were fast and efficient...We will come again.
The Place is really nice, spend a peaceful evening there. They have good beers not so expensive and the bands that were playing were really really nice!
We went to see Cire The Maestro, the music was awesome. Service was fantastic! The food was delicious! The atmosphere was great! The Mint staff was polite and professional. Outstanding experience!
An amazing show featuring Patryce Choc-let Banks of Graham Central Station and a stellar band led by bassist Bill Pitman along with Cynthia CC Bass and Cydney Wayne Davis on background vocals. It was straight FUNK with no chaser. They turned the mother out.
The place is great for shows but the lighting inside is just terrible, way to dark if you want to take pics or video of artists performing. Other than that its great.
Excellent Musicians and great stage.Perfect Bar and very polite security guys.I will try to come with more friends and partners again
Very nice and cozy place with a good wine and great music. Truly, love the atmosphere.
Cool place whent there for a reggae show..not that big inside..security looked mean and tuff but very nice =) was waiting outside cause it was a sold out show my gf had to use the restroom really bad, security let her use the restroom i was very please with this place had a good time when i whent in..=)
Very good food! Crab cakes are great! Performers are great! The only negative is the venue should be bigger.
Great spot on Pico to chill and have some good ole music fun... Look for it closely you might miss it rolling by.
Intimate club with great live music and delicious food. Never a dull time here!
Great band venue! The owner is awesome and cool as can be! Check it out! I went and seen the SUGARAY RAYFORD BAND that brought the house down!
Ive been going here to see and hear great bands for 15 years now. Ive never been disappointed once. Always a good time.
Great live music venue in Los Angeles. The staff were great and very friendly. Perfect when youre from London England
Cool place to see live music. Stick to beer and wine, the cocktails are subpar at best.
Historic jazz club of the mid-1900s turns to classy small-to-mid-size modern music venue & bar featuring all genres.
They book great acts, the sound is really good, small place. Good food for a bar.
Amazing venue and incredible staff!! Everyone was delightful from the people who worked the door, bar and served !! Rapsody show there was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not enough seating for an event that wasnt even sold out. Parking is frustrating to find so Id recommend parking car somewhere else and taking an Uber instead.
Great live music. Bar service was very good.
The acoustics in there are great. Also, the food was really good. Great service!
Love this place got to see my favorite band Trapdoor Social! Hope they have them again!
Production and people meh. Also meh experience if youre alone. Caters toward monetization ahead of the art. Loud people at the tables. Go elsewhere if youre looking for more intimacy/appreciation
Love this place but any way the owners could spend a few bucks repairing the sidewalk and power washing the gum off so it has a cleaner appearance...this location is iconic why not take it the a higher level
Good food and service. A shame they cover up the area in front of the stage with tables, leaves little room for dancing.
Always a good time. Sound system is great and once you smell the garlic fries you have to try them!
Great venue for a concert. Small standing room mostly. Close proximity though.
Probably the longest-running music venue in Los Angeles. Known for great bands food and drink. Highly recommended
Performed there and it was awesome! I did Comedy to a music audience. I opened for my friend’s band.
Great food, service, and people. The Sound System is Amazing and this is just an overall classy place.
Good internal decor and a generally comfortable atmosphere, plus they support local musicians like my friends King Chut.
Live music, full bat and food in a vintage venue. Perfect for date night or with friends
Awesome music venue. Its been around for years and is well worth a visit.
I drank the hell out of the place and puked everywhere. the bands were great. I had fun
Small but excellent set up, good food great service and excellent live bands!!
Good celeb sightings here.
Small intimate venue to hear music. Really good sound, truly love going to hear music here.
If youre into listening to live music/bands and enjoy strong drinks this is the place to go
This is a very cool little Club. The sound was good the food was yummy. Theres a very good chance Ill be back
Great little place..thank you for histing new and up and coming artist!!from security to waitresses were perfect!❤
Cool little place with live music, food and drinks
Very nice music venue. Great vibe and mood. Top notch.
