After my standard stylist could no longer see me for my appointment because of a schedule conflict, I blindly chose Courtney from the list of stylists available—and wow, I am happy I did! This haircut took place the day before my wedding, and Courtney knocked it out of the park.She greeted me at the front desk, checked me in, and took me back to her station right on time. I did not wait at all.After talking about my hair, habits, desired cut, etc., Courtney let me know what exactly to expect from the appointment and what she would recommend we do to match my vision. I needed to have several inches of hair cut off, so she did that when my hair was dry. Then, someone else shampooed my hair with the specific shampoo and conditioner that Courtney identified as helpful given that I was having my hair professionally styled the next day.While Courtney cut my hair, we engaged in great and easy conversation. It’s no wonder that she is such a high-level stylist and manager at the salon.Everyone was so impressed with my haircut and blowout, and the choices Courtney made ensured that my wedding hairstyle could be executed flawlessly the next day.10/10! Highly recommend. Will return.

This is my second time getting my hair done by Sheila and my second time posting a review. I’m embarrassed to say that my previous review of Sheila’s was quite negative and inaccurate on my part. There were extenuating circumstances regarding my first appointment and experience with her, none of which was her fault. Since that first appointment, I apologized to her and she was gracious enough to accept my apology. I had my second appointment with Sheila today. She did a double process hair color and a haircut. Everything went beautifully and she was very gracious towards me. She went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with my hair! I am completely happy with both my color and cut and have already received compliments on both! Thank you Sheila! See you in 5-6 weeks!

First and foremost, I’m not the type to write these reviews but my experience was phenomenal that I just had to. The place was clean and upon arriving they asked what I would like to drink. Got seated right away and the person who did my hair, her name is Helen. She did a FANTASTIC job with my hair. My hair went through so much hair dyes and box dyes and somehow she made my hair look amazing. I, 100% recommend going to this salon and her. It was my first time with her & this salon and I’ve had an amazing experience. Just look at the before and after it speaks for itself. Thank you for having me and I am definitely coming back.

I got robbed! I paid $283 for a haircut & partial highlight that took less than an hour! If you look at their pricing the highest amount for haircut is $100 & highest amount for partial highlight is $165 which comes to $265 not $283. Then if you are going to pay with credit card add 3% to your bill! I have been getting my hair done the same for years & I have never walked in & out of a salon in less than 2 hours. Typically it takes about 2 1/2 hours. The stylist told me she’s been doing hair for 30 years & that’s why it didn’t take long but the real reason is she only put a quarter of the foils I typically get and didn’t even put any in the back of my head! She also cut my hair too short! We decided on a length but she definitely went shorter! She also did no styling except for a quick blow dry! No wonder there were not many customers in the salon. That should have been a sign. I hope this steers you away from going to this salon & getting robbed!

I’ve been seeing Shahin for over 35 years at Eclips and think that she’s absolutely the best at what she does. Best waxing and facials I’ve ever received and that’s why I drive far to continue to come to her and have recommended her to so many of my friends. I very highly recommend Shahin at Eclips.

Sharleen is my stylist and as always does a beautiful job highlighting my hair. She also gave me a trim & blowout insuring my hair looks great.

Tiggy is the best! I went in today to get 4-5 inches off and I was very happy with my results! The ends of my hair were unhealthy and I haven’t gotten my haircut in so long. She was the happiest person and just such a wonderful woman! She gave me some tips for my hair and recommendations for which shampoos and conditioners I should use for my hair. Best salon!

Simply the best. I leave feeling like a million dollars each time. The head stylist just *knows* hair and always figures out the best look for me before I even have to ask. Added bonus, my styling time at home is down to practically zero because the cut is so well crafted. love love love this place!!

My hairdresser of 17 years died suddenly. I went to a different salon and my hair was okay. I then went here and used BABAK as my hairdresser. Very happy with service. Had my third visit today and am beyond satisfied. I’d recommend Babak, he’s handsome too and that doesn’t hurt! Salon is clean. Shampoo ladies are wonderful. I am sad my other hairdresser died but I am grateful I found Babak. PS place has a spa as well so that’s my next experience

You will not be disappointed with Daniel’s excellent pedicure! He is the consummate professional and has a wonderful touch as he massages your calves and feet. So relaxing!

Arrived from out of town and was referred by my sister, she loves this place. Me too!!Loved my experience here with Stylist Andy and Shampoo Technician, Aracely.Master Andy did an amazing job on a classic soft curl, bringing out the existing multi-tone low lights already in my hair; he took time with the blow-out and the soft curls were expertly done. This entire style was efficiently done and so pretty, I received many compliments. Very happy!! ❤️Shampoo Tech Ms. Aracely provided the best shampoo-wash ever—from the last 12yrs, I have unfortunately developed a tender head (from neck issues & migraines), she was very gentle but firm. Her time with me was spent thoroughly massaging my scalp thus allaying fears of previous worries of “harsh hands.” Not Aracely! My anxiety was relieved and I almost feel asleep during my wash. She used the entered Trauma Shampoo-Deep Conditioner product - smells clean, feminine.Highly recommend Andy (and Aracely) as a nice duo to make an appointment under. Andy’s speciality is color, cut & texture—he has a great eye for what works well with one’s facial shape/features. Very sweet and patient young man!!(Hope Aracely goes to Salon School & becomes Andy’s Student Apprentice… they both work really nicely together. WORST HAIR EXPERIENCE EVER.I told the stylist I wanted to dye my whole hair and later add highlights but she recommended a balayage. She showed me pictures and made such a great argument I thought, wow she seems like she really knows what she’s talking about, especially since she has a high level ranking at the salon.After she applied the last foil, she walked me over to the hair drying chair. She came to checkup on my color, she opened a foil and a whole chunk of my hair fell out. She then said my hair needed a few more minutes. An assistant then came over and began removing my foils. Halfway through she stops, and panickly said shed be right back. She grabbed my stylist and whispered behind me...“these came out fine, but....” couldn’t hear the rest. The stylist said it was fine and instructed her to continue removing foils and proceed with washing her hair.After the assistant dried my hair to the halfway point previously mentioned above, the stylist and her were mouthing things back and forth and from a distant mirror I could see her cutting pieces of my hair and it wasn’t just a trim, she cut them super short. She did not ask my permission to cut. She though the color “beautiful”. She acted like nothing was wrong and justified it by saying she was just trying to blend the color... later she added another excuse saying she was adding layers to make it look better (but again I did not consent). When it came to the payment she said she wouldn’t charge me for the blow dry (a service I did not even ask for) bc she had trouble with the blending.I was not aware until I got home and people were pointing out how awful of a job it was. Not only were random pieces of my hair cut super short, but the color was awful, there were multiple colors and it was not balayage at all. The one thing we both agreed on was that I did not want something streaky but she gave me thick streaks. There was even one super blonde piece in my hair that stuck out like a sore thumb. I couldn’t even pull my hair back to hide the mess she made because that looked even worse.I dislike leaving negative comments but this salon handled my complaints so poorly. Not only did the stylist mess up my hair, but I was so disappointed the way management handled it. I left two voice messages for the manager. I was first told she wasn’t in and would call me (which she never did). I then called again in the early afternoon, was told she was there, and then was told she was “in a meeting” and would get back to me (she never did). Never have I received such poor customer service and I’ve worked in retail my entire life. I will never be returning to this place. If you’re looking for somewhere to get your hair done, whatever the service, I suggest you keep looking and go elsewhere.

Giving the salon 5 stars due to their COVID response and, because of Callie.The salon takes precautions, ensures you don’t enter the location until it’s your turn, are wearing a facemask and wash your hands upon entering. They limit capacity (super thankful for this) as well.Callie is a wonderfully talented hair dresser who takes the time to understand what her clients really want and, understands how to do hair of people from a diversity of ethnicities.She’s super quick as well.

Have been going to Masta for many years and followed her to this salon. Masta does a fabulous job with my color, my cuts and my blowdry. Would highly recommend her!

Leona is an amazing stylist! I got a beautiful layered cut and gold balayage done by her. I have natural chestnut brown hair with some gold undertones and her coloring blended in perfectly. I will be going back to her for my future styling.

The best day of the month is always the day I get a great shampoo and haircut at Eclips! Hamiyet and Annette are THE BEST!

This is the second time I have come to this salon and witnessed the unprofessional treatment of one of the managers, Courtney towards the young staff who support the stylist. She talks down to them and berates them in front of not just staff but also loud enough for customers to hear. It doesn’t create a positive environment, especially when I’m coming to relax.

Recently my hairdresser retired and highly recommended Eclips. I am so thrilled with Sheila and the entire salon experience! Sheila is an expert with cut and color. The staff is incredible and efficient! They even ordered the hair product I had used at my previous salon. Diane, the owner is lovely and very customer focused. I love Eclips!

Excellent service. Tiggy is a master of her craft and truly understands how to shape curly to wavy hair to camouflage thinning at the hairline.

After another Hair Stylist at another Salon had ruined my haircut, I went to see Sheila for the first time at Eclips. I can´t say how happy I am with the results. Sheila knew my hair right away and gave me a very nice hair cut. She is definitely very experienced. I am beyond happy with the results. Needless to say I will definitely going back to Sheila for any future Haircuts. I also want to add that the atmosphere and the staff were also very nice and professional. Loved it!

Azi was so nice and professional. She actually listened to me! She gave me a great cut and style and KEPT my length while not losing texture and style. Hard to do! Would highly recommend!

Absolutely LOVE Tiggy! She did an amazing job on my extensions. She worked so delicately & was extremely precise - despite how tedious the work was. We installed 5 bundles into my hair and chatted the whole way through. She was extremely attentive to my concerns and listened to me as I would describe to her the exact look I was going for. She has impeccable technique and was always reassuring me every step of the way. I paid a high price but it was completely worth it. My hair blends seamlessly and I get so many compliments. I would HIGHLY recommend Tiggy for any service on my hair. An absolute gem!

Melissa is wonderful! She listens, takes note, adjusts as needed (or as requested). My hair is very curly, and I wear it in its natural state, which can be unpredictable. Melissa goes with my flow for the cut and color. I appreciate her professionalism and flexibility and communication skills. The salon is clean, the staff are vaccinated and efficient, (especially Marcella and other shampooers) and its well laid out for distancing.

Gaby is amazing! She is always willing to fit me in with my crazy schedule which I truly appreciate. She is so fun and easy to talk to . Her talent is untouchable. She is great with highlights . I highly recommend :)

My stylist, Sheila, is not only a fabulous stylist and colorist, but she’s unfailingly on time! Once, when Sheila was out of the country, I had to request a substitute. Patricia filled in and also did a terrific job. Front desk people and other support staff.are terrific as well. I wish I could pay less, but with these kinds of services, you usually get the quality that you pay for!

I tried to other salons in the area. And this is by far the best. Their people are professional, knowledgeable, and kind and they remember you and ask you how you’re doing since your last appointment. I’m never going to another salon.

Had a cut by Nadia on Friday. She completely hacked my hair. I’ve honestly never had such a bad hair cut. I asked for layers and to take the heaviness out of my hair. She gave me essentially a bob. When I told her it wasn’t what I wanted she took chunks out of my hair and then told me I’d had to come back to get it fixed as she had another client. I was so upset. I asked for another person to fix it, and it was so bad that they couldn’t do anything but told me I have to let it grow out. My hair is all different lengths, holes in it from the ‘layering’ and looks terrible. Every time I go to blow dry it I almost cry at how bad a job it is. If you have long think hair, run from this place.Update: It has been well over a week and still no call from management further to their reply below. Don’t expect good customer server here.

After 5 years of trying several highly rated hairstylists in the NOVA area, I finally found Patricia at Eclips Salon in McLean VA. Its not easy to find a hair stylist who can cut short hair....shes terrific! Absolutely thrilled with my cut.

I have been LOVING my experience at Eclips! I come in regularly for facials with Shahin but just recently decided to get a color and cut. It looks amazing! Linda was my stylist and I will definitely be back. The prices are great for the McLean area and my stylist listened to everything I want. I found them through Washingtonian and can understand why theyve been written up as one of the best.

I go to Eclipse for my hair and to color my lashes. Excellent service for both! My Hair Guru is fantastic and knows how to do my hair to perfection and always treat me fantastic. The ladies that shampoo and rinse are also great and the rest of the staff has always been service oriented and very professional. Thumbs Up!

Ive been getting my hair cut and dyed here for a little more than 3 years and I love it!! I am always satisfied with my experience and my hair results. The stylist I see is Mary. Theyve taken great care of my hair through lots of dye jobs and it is still in great condition. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a hair customer since 1996 and Daniel client for almost 10 years. I presently go to Courtney Vaughn. It’s always a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I have never had a bad experience. Everyone is professional and friendly. The staff always recognize me say hello even tho I’m not their customer. It is pricey but worth it because I always get compliments on my hair and nails.

I have been coming to Eclips for waxing with Shahin for over 10 years. She is the absolute best. Ive never had a faster or more thorough waxing with anyone else. I also have been seeing Mary for my hair color & cut and she is phenomenal!

Ive been coming to Eclips for about 2 years and I always have a great experience. From the warm welcome I receive from the front desk to the shampoo assistant - Im always treated with courtesy. Ive had four different stylists and each one has done a fantastic job. I typically have my hair highlighted and cut. I would recommend Eclips to even my pickiest friends.

Can’t rave enough about this salon! I had a terrible experience at another salon in which my color looked bad and my cut was uneven and they cut too much off. I was very upset and called because they had great reviews online and the girl on the phone, Betty, was so sweet and asked what happened to my hair and said she had just the person to fix it! They fit me in within 2 days and I met my stylist, Babak, who is AMAZING! He listened to what I had originally wanted and knew exactly how to fix it. He took the time to hand paint all the sections of my hair and fixed my cut as well. Somehow my hair ended up with the balayage I wanted originally and not being used to having short hair I actually really love it. He made it cute and fun and I got so many compliments on it. He is a hair artist and I will be going back to him, as well as bringing my daughter. I wish I knew how to add pictures here so you could see the transformation.

Looked forward to trying a new salon today but will not return. Quick wash and blow dry. The washing was too fast -- more emphasis on rinsing than washing -- but thankfullyI had washed my hair last night. Nice styling by the stylist... nothing special -- simple shoulder length hair. The surprise was on me when I was presented with a $58 bill. Little more than a half hour with an average hair style. I responded that the website states $40 for a wash/blow dry. I expected to pay $40 and had said up front I had never been to Eclips. No -- you had a third tier stylist who charges more I was told. How would I know that since its not on the website? There is no warning that depending on who the receptionist books you with will determine what you pay -- even on your first visit.When I protested that the price was higher than I ever expected or had ever paid for a simple wash/dry it fell on deaf ears. Buyer beware unless you dont mind wasting money.

Went for a color & cut...felt very comfortable. Everyone was social distancing and was wearing masks. The facility was extremely clean. I’ll be back in a few weeks to cover my roots again. No more grey! Also, Babak does the best blowouts Ive ever had. They last for almost a week!

I have very straight hair cut into a bob and it can be challenging because I have so much hair. Susan is an absolute pro and I adore her.

Great hair salon! I have gotten a partial balayage and deva cut at Eclips for the past year. I have been very happy with the work they’ve done. My hair gets so many compliments! Their prices are high, but still cheaper than what I was paying in DC. Their stylists are forthcoming about when/if prices have gone up.

Eclips is the salon that makes you comfortable while making you look great. In the Covid-era, they have done a fabulous job at keeping the salon germ-free and super clean. Stylists are very talented and always take the time to talk about what you want. This customer always leaves happy.

I have been coming here for more than 20 years. Shahin is the best! Facials and lash tints are my mainstay. Great service and product offerings.New person st front desk called me at 3 minutes late. Very rude - I’m usually early and have never not showed for an appointment and would suggest some courtesy training, especially for someone who comes every 6 weeks for 20 + years.

Ive been getting my hair cut and colored here for about a year now and I always leave happy with exactly what I want - even if I dont know exactly how to ask for it. Great job with the balayage, very consistent. Appointments are always on time. They dont harass you into buying products.

Enjoyed the relaxing nature of salon instead of a salon that has blasting disco music and blow dryers going regularly. The music was in the background and perhaps because it was Monday, the area was quiet. I got a good haircut, but told the stylist I dont like my hair blow dryed. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding, but he did it anyway. I told him I didnt like it, so we went with the natural look after he wet it down and then used a diffuser to dry. Much better.

Sheila always resurrects my hair and my sense of self-assurance! Coming to her for many years.

My Stylist, Fary, is the ultimate professional. I have straight hair which is very difficult to style. She works magic. My hair not only looks great as I leave Eclips, it is easy to maintain until my next visit.

Once I discovered Eclips, now so many years ago, there has never been a time when I left unhappy! Oh, actually, there was one time... and the following day, no questions asked, the problem was solved, to my complete satisfaction. As a health professional, I believe the Eclips COVID policy is exceptional. I only came in contact with my stylist and the person at the hair washing station. All wore masks chairs were sanitized as soon as someone left them. Great job, Eclips.

My star is base on the costumer service of this place , I never had anything done, but my mother in Lawn was a faithful client her hairdresser was Sheila, my experience with them started after my mother in lawn got sick she was extremely will so I call Eclipse for a inquire, which they were very helpful with, but unfortunately they never came trough their promise of calling me back, Its has been month.Their clients should have their respect and kindness.Its really sad!

Susan is remarkable with color! Kay does a fabulous job! I came to Eclips with fried damaged hair. Susan and Kay have turned my hair around and now Im really pleased with how healthy my hair is and love my color and cut!

I have been a client of theirs for over 20 years and have been seeing the same stylist for about 15 years. They are bit expensive for a mens haircut but the stylist does a good job and she knows how I like the cut to come out which means I dont have to give her instructions. She learned and rembered how I wanted it done after the first couple of visits and after that I have not had to give any further instructions. I like that.

My appointment at Eclips was cancelled with no advanced notice. I arrived timely for my scheduled appointment and was told that someone was supposed to call me. I was very disappointed and inconvenienced because I had an event that evening.

Overall, my experience at Eclips in McLean has been top drawer.Regarding rates, be forewarned: their prices are relatively high for the area. Nevertheless, ambience, decor, location, and services offered set them apart from the typical salon.My current nail tech, Katie is competent and detail-oriented, with a gentle touch. She is also flexible and versatile, going from conservative to artsy and creative. She follows your wishes, and yet offers good color suggestions, as needed. Unlike some manis and pedis I have experienced, Katies gel manis usually remain flawless for two weeks. Her pedis are good for a month, unless I chose to change colors.The only complaint I have is that, lately, the front desk support has been somewhat lacking in courtesy and efficiency. Messages I left with who I believe to be a new employee were neither conveyed to the requested party or returned. That said, most of the staff are extremely conscientious, friendly, and professional. Perhaps, in reading this, overall communications between the front desk and Eclips patrons will improve.Nice place. Walk in and see how you feel. Going to a Day Spa is always a very personal thing... almost like finding the right doctor. Compare, and see what works for you.

I love coming to see Susan! I have never liked having short hair but Susan does an amazing job that I cant stop looking at my hair. The place is clean and nice and all the people are always smiling.

I and my family have been coming here for years. Weve had haircuts, color, keratin treatments and facials. I have never, ever been disappointed and always leave feeling beautiful. All the staff are courteous and polite. Highly recommend!

Ive been going to Eclips for the past two years now and always try to get Krystal as my stylist. She is very friendly and wonderful at taking the (rather jumbled) picture that I have in my head and applying it to my hair. I only get my hair cut two-three times a year (bad I know but my ends hardly ever split) and the haircut Krystal gives me does a wonderful job growing with me. She also gently intervenes when I described something that goes against everything else I described (like I said, its pretty jumbled up there). For example, at my last visit I wanted blonde highlights but the blonde I picked was very, very blonde. Too blonde to work with my habit of spacing my haircuts. Krystal steered me towards a better blonde--one that worked for the look I was going for but would still look good as it grew out. It came out even better than I hoped and I received so many compliments! I highly recommend Eclips for their patient and wonderful staff.

Magic happens with the stellar services provided at this spa. All the services are provided by highly experienced professionals, whether it’s a rejuvenating facial with Shahin, the best “great lengths” extensions by Mary & when it comes to coloring my chemo treated, yellow grey hair, no other than Courtney! The admin staff knows your name & are SINCERE in their greetings whether in person or on the phone. The best mani/pedi spa experience, so very relaxing! Ive been a customer for 12 years. For the past 4 years, Ive commuted to the salon because I no longer live in the area. I wouldnt have done that if I wasnt absolutely a dedicated and completely satisfied customer. Stephanie Dillenseger and crew are the best!!!!

Normally I have a great experience with my regular stylist, Fary, but on a certain day, Fary and I were mistreated by another stylist, Sharleen.I arrived for my appointment with Fary before 530pm and was seated at the end near the woven divider. Ten minutes into the appointment, Fary was half complete in coloring my roots when Sharleen asked three times if Fary could either move my chair over or move to another chair so Sharleen’s client could sit between me and the other client on the end. Sharleen was very abrupt and Fary kindly asked her to sit her client in the two open chairs near the beverage machine. She refused. I said I was seated first and told Sharleen she was not courteous to customers and her fellow stylist. She proceeded to walk away with a huff. Sharleen was a poor example of good customer service. Fary gently escorted me to another chair.I requested something to be done about Sharleen and her inconsiderate behavior. The general manager sent me the following response: I am embarrassed that this happened in front of you and want to truly apologize for this inconsiderate behavior! I want to assure you that I will be talking to Sharleen about this first thing tomorrow. That is not the way we operate here at Eclips and are a very close family. I am not sure what happened but will find out. Thank you again for letting me know and again I cant apologize enough for having you experience this during your time with us.The supervisor sent me the following response: I really appreciate your e-mail, however, I was in the salon and was immediately aware of the issue. Our manager, Cindy Dean was also aware of what transpired. Thank you, again, for your concern.Hopefully this situation was rectified, so other clients do not experience the mistreatment from Sharleen.

Courtney is wonderful, as always! She listens if you have specific wants, but also has the ability to offer suggestions in a non-pushy way. She is very skilled at what she does!!

Awesome, as always, pedicure with Daniel is the best! And I have a broken shoulder and can’t wash my hair, so asked , when I walked in, for a shampoo- sweet young woman washed my hair before my pedicure and I felt wonderful! Thanks, everyone!

Great....as usual.I’ve been an Eclips client for the past 20 years.My hair is long and always looks like I’m a hair model from a magazine when I leave.Expensive...Yes.Worth every penny!!!

$60 mens haircut. Everyone at work, my girlfriend, my friends etc.. has commented or laughed. I look like a middle schooler. Asked to keep on the long side, not to get rid of the curls. Cut very short, my head looks like a ball

Had been a client for 18 years and will now find another salon. Color was “off”, cut was uneven and the overall experience was disappointing due to complaints. Also felt spacing was too close. Sorry, but will not return.

They will fire your stylist after 15 years and claim she quit. Very unprofessional.
