Vipassanna is the best salon I have been to yet. The salon itself is a vibe, I love how it’s set up-very relaxing , and clean. Once I sat down, my hair dresser Sarah had a quick consult with me to see what I wanted , then provided her professional opinion as to what would flatter my face shape . She showed me some images , and we picked out a style together . The ladies also recommended products based off my hair type to address my concerns. Sarah was very knowledgeable, professional , easy going,and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole service . She did an amazing job! Over all, I would most definitely recommend this salon to everyone!

As a Valentines Day gift to myself I decided to treat myself to a bougie salon to get pampered. It was heavenly. Magan was amazing, listened to what I wanted/needed and such a delight!! Vipassana Salon & Wellness Spa is a place I will be sure to visit again! Give them a try!

We used Vipassanas bridal services for hair and makeup at my wedding. I am SO pleased, and completely blown away by how wonderful the whole experience was. We had a ton of fun together, and the end result was STUNNING! They made sure we both looked incredible, and neither hair nor makeup budged the entire day. I only wish I could give more than 5 stars. Lydia and her team of stylists went above and beyond for my daughters wedding. The morning started at the salon with Mimosas and muffins/fruit. She had a team of 5 plus herself even though my daughter only had two attendants and myself with her. Justin, Paige, Jill, Megan and Sarah were all amazingly kind and did a great job with hair and makeup. My daughter got compliments all night on her hair done by Lydia. Lydia was going to come to the venue to again style her hair for the reception which was following the 5:30 ceremony. My daughter left her jewelry at the salon and Lydia graciously brought it all the way to the venue (35 minutes away) and then stayed until the reception to do her hair. She not only gave her time, but helped set up flowers and table prior to the wedding (to the point that people thought she was the florist). Thank you so much to a wonderful group of people and the salon itself. Highly recommend to anyone, whether you have an upcoming wedding or just a haircut. Thank you so much Lydia and team.

WOW what can say in this short space. I was greeted immediately when I entered (first impressions). The salon is beautiful. This was my first visit to Vipassana and immediately rebooked before leaving. My stylist Paige was AMAZING. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair cut and styled, and she NAILED IT. She was so pleasant and showed such enthusiasm about cutting my hair and creating the style I showed her. She recommended several products (I purchased a few) but never felt pressured to purchase something. She made great recommendations to add to bumping the color of my hair up a notch which I am exciting about doing on my next visit. Along with Paige, the entire staff was pleasant. So nice in todays world to not be treated like just another customer. Kudos to all of you!!!!!

This Salon gives you the five star experience you didn’t even know you needed. The woman that work here appear to be more than co-workers but friends/family! It was so nice to see woman empowering each other and lifting one another up. I felt like I was part of the family and had so much fun talking with all the ladies. Simply amazing! The staff, the atmosphere, the detail and time that Lydia and the girls put into my wedding day was breathtaking! I’ve been coming to Lydia since the salon opened and I am more impressed with every visit. Everyone is so personable and they take the time to always make you feel and look your best! Of all my visits my special wedding day will always be one to remember. All of my girls felt a sense of serenity and even those that didn’t plan on getting their hair or makeup done, saw the masterpieces that the stylists and makeup artist were creating and asked if they too could get their hair and makeup done. Without any hesitation they made it happen! We all know time is of the essence on your wedding day and they did work! Flawless, impeccable work!! All my girls still talk about this day. How chill it was, how pretty it was and how they were never at a salon that didn’t feel like everything was rushed. They felt relaxed, which made me feel relaxed and it set the stage for the rest of the day :)! It felt like a dream! All in all, if you want the most amazing service and relaxing wedding day, bring your friends and family along and let Lydia and the Vipassana staff make you all feel like the princesses that you are! I highly recommend this salon for all of your services- hair, make up, facials, nails, etc.! I am just so impressed by this cute, brilliant, tucked away salon in the most beautiful building! Lydia is an artist, as are all others working there. They are filled with charm and grace, servicing the local community in many ways including supporting local womens programsI was able to receive the silver color other Aveda Salons could not accomplish. They truly live up to the definition of vipassana. These are spirit filled women f illed with authenticity. I have never felt better about my hair

First off the studio just feels so cozy! Everyone is warm and welcoming as well. I was looking for a studio closer to home and decided to give this a try after it being recommended to me. Im so happy I decided to go! Magan is amazing and knew exactly how to fix the issue I was having with my hair on top of helping me find a new hair style that suit my face shape. Im looking forward to trying other services there in the future!

I love the space, the staff and everything about Vipassana. I have been a client of Lydias for 12 years and have followed her to every salon she worked at before becoming owner of her own salon. She has always made me look more beautiful then when I walked in. My 12 year old daughter now goes to Lydia and Paige. I am a huge fan of Aveda products and for me this being an Aveda salon is a huge bonus! I look forward to many more years of being a completely satisfied client.

Most unprofessional management/ customer service I have yet to come across. This pains me to write after myself and my mother were customers here for years. We also booked the salon for my wedding party to get ready at the morning of the wedding, this was when issues arose. We were quoted prices over the phone which I typed up at the time. Then upon booking and placing $250 down to hold the date we were promised that that amount would go towards the balance the day of the wedding. Instead we were charged more per person than quoted for the services provided and the deposit was not applied. Upon multiple cordial attempts to meet or have a phone conversation regarding this with the owner (Lydia Swaney), we were ghosted and told that she did not have time to discuss it. Finally I called the salon and requested scheduling a day/ time even if it needed to be far in advance. This resulted in an immediate direct call from the owner which essentially was 45 minutes of me being scolded over the phone, unable to mutter a sentence without being screamed at for interrupting. She said that I lied about the prices quoted, how dare I take away time with her family with this issue, and that I’m lucky she made sure that the construction in the building was even done on time for our wedding day... when we had booked the salon 2 years in advance. Eventually I cut her off and said that I was hoping to have a mature discussion about the matter but if she cannot let me speak then I no longer wished to confer with a person lacking all professionalism and ended the call. After working with other staff members at the salon we were eventually able to get our deposit back, but no money for the incorrect quotes at the time of contract signing. Just a massive display of rudeness and big disappointment, honestly still in shock that any business owner could speak that way to another person. Although the stylists and make up artists did a great job the day was overshadowed by the events and communication with the owner, Lydia. It is unfortunate this business owner has driven clients away from these stylists due to her own extreme disrespect for loyal customers.

Paige did a beautiful job on my highlights. Shes definitely my go to person for color moving forward. Friendly, welcoming staff and a calming environment.

IMHO, theyre overpriced for the quality you get. I have gotten better service elsewhere for half the price. Nice atmosphere though and friendly staff, nonetheless.

My 12 year old said it was the best experience in a salon shes ever had. It was beautiful inside and everyone was so nice. We will definitely be coming back.

Has got to be the most selfish group of people and most disconnected people Ive ever seen completely rude and selfish they expect 20 or 30% tip its just funny when it comes time to reciprocate all of a sudden they dont know how to would not use this place
