I love how my hair turned out! This was my first time dying my hair and I’m so glad I did it in this salon! The workers are so nice! I had amber and she is so sweet and kind! I definitely will come back! I recommend!

Kristen is simply the best! Every appointment leaves me feeling relaxed and pampered. Her attention to detail and talent are unmatched. Whether its a cut or color, she always exceeds expectations. If you want to leave feeling confident and beautiful, must see Kristen!

Love Rebekah she’s so personable, friendly and does a great job! Everyone here I’ve interacted with have been very hospitable. Just a great environment with great people. Very friendly and efficient service. Ladies at the front desk are awesome too!

Angie R really understood the assignment!!! She went above and beyond with my situation. I innitially booked a session with a student as a model and my hair didn’t turn out as I expected, I expressed my concerns to Angie and she invited me back for a session and really took my hair to the next level I couldn’t even imagine. I have dark thick/coarse Asian hair and Angie was able to do her magic!! I had blonde bangs and needed to do something to blend it all together since my hair was growing out. She listened to my needs and the outcome was phenomenal!! Her balayage does not disappoint!! I will be going back to her again in the future! I would definitely recommend Taj salon and spa for your wedding day! Rebekah was absolutely wonderful to work with beginning to end- and was always there for anything I needed! The hair and makeup turned out perfect for the wedding and photos! It was an absolute dream to have Rebekah, Vanessa, Claire, Bailey, and the rest of Taj there to help us get ready for the wedding day and for it to turn out so beautiful!

I have been going to Taj since 2011 and with the exception of one or two times, my experience has always been great. The guest services team is always very welcoming and the stylists do a great job. The salon is clean, they offer a wide variety of services and products, and I have always found their pricing to be fair. I havent had one particular stylist that I have seen consistently over the years, but my most recent visit with Bailey might just change that. She is phenomenal and I highly recommend her and Taj!

I scheduled to have my hair and my bridal party done for my June wedding back in November. I thought that would be plenty of time to get everything in order. Unfortunately their Bridal Concierge team is not very good. They were the one stressful thing about my wedding. I had to constantly reach out to get a reply (if I got one). I was never responded to when I asked in January to schedule my hair trail. I reached out in March for a timeline to make sure we would be done on time and I did not get a reply until 3 weeks before my wedding and everything was incorrect. The times were well after I said we had to be done, they added makeup which was not marked on the form, and did not have the right styles with the right person. I tried to speak with a manager and she pushed me off saying I had to deal with the bridal team even after sharing my frustration about them. I would NOT recommend using them for a wedding. Its unfortunate since I use to like the salon but they have gone down hill with customer service. Day of the lady at the front desk was annoyed I was not paying for everyone and that she had to refund me for some of my deposit. She kept saying I could pay for someone and they pay me back even after I said no.I did love my stylist and she did a amazing job but the frustration of everything outweighs the day of service.

We had Taj Salon provide our hair and makeup service for our wedding and it was a great experience! Courtny was great to work with and made the whole day easy. She was great at organizing and scheduling appointments for my crew and she was so friendly and helpful. All the stylists came onsite to where we were getting ready and did a great job! Everyone’s hair looked flawless and stayed in the whole night. I would recommend Taj Salon for anyone looking for a reliable on-site hair and makeup service.

Went for my first service after my mom had recommended I go after she had been a couple of times. All the employees were very friendly and welcoming. The salon itself is super cute and very updated and modern looking. I saw Savannah for a haircut and she did absolutely amazing! She was very friendly and did exactly what I was looking for with my hair. Will 100% be coming back for future services!

Taj was recommended to me by a friend after another salon I had booked an appointment with permanently closed due to COVID-19. The whole experience was very positive and enjoyable. From working with guest services on figuring out what kind of service I was looking for and giving me Stylist recommendations to meeting with Bryan for a color consultation, cut and ultimately the color. Bryan is a great stylist both in the work he does but also how he interacts with his clients. He answered all my questions as well as kept me informed every step of the way. Also great at managing expectations as I was looking at doing a lavender ombre on my dark brown hair. We achieved a medium purple and I absolutely love it. Im excited to try more of Tajs services.

I got my hair and makeup done on my wedding day at Taj Salon & Spa. I did not have a bridal party and wanted a salon experience vs bringing someone onsite. Courtny helped me get scheduled with both my trial and my day-of makeup and hair style. Bailey did a good job doing my updo - she worked with my natural hair and listened well to my feedback along the way. I was especially impressed with Rebekah, my makeup artist. I was very nervous about getting my makeup done, as I had never had that service before. During my trial, Rebekah was very patient with me as we tried different shades and looks, as I didnt have a firm picture of what I wanted yet. I am so glad we did the trial so that she could emulate that on the day of without stressing about what colors to pick. My makeup looked great that day - like me, but better! And it lasted all day and night. Id recommend Taj Salon & Spa to others looking for wedding stylist services.

This place is great! I had my breastfeeding babe have to be dropped off because she wasn’t handling things at home well and they all handled it with grace and I had a great time!

I used Taj for my wedding hair and makeup for myself and bridesmaids. They did a fabulous job and were awesome to work with. Courtny was my makeup teammate and really strived to get the look exactly how I imagined it. Such a great experience, would definitely recommend!

I highly recommend taj! I have very long hair and get it cut once a year so I always have a different stylist. Ive never been disappointed. Claire walked me through every step when cutting my hair and together we decided what would be best. We agreed on 4 and my hair feels incredibly healthy and beautiful. Taj had excellent stylists, friendly, professional, and very talented!

Ive been to Taj Salon twice now and really enjoyed both experiences. The first time I had scheduled an appointment and knew exactly what type of haircut I wanted. The scalp, shoulder and hand massage was an unexpected perk I didnt know came along with the service. My stylist was nice and easy to work with.My second time at Taj was on my birthday and I needed a haircut bad. I called for a same day appointment and they were able to fit me in quickly. This time around I didnt know what type of haircut I wanted, but my stylist was great in helping me decide what would work. My experience was great and I left loving my new look. Looks like I will be a regular customer!

Cinthya did an amazing job on my hair! Plus the head massage (and neck and hand massages!) we super relaxing. The vibe at the salon was super chill and relaxing and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating!

I started coming to Taj Salon back in about 2016. I got a haircut there by Brian and I have been a huge fan since! Even when the Minneapolis site closed, I found myself driving all the way to Brooklyn Park and it has always been worth the drive! I have gotten all my haircuts by Brian (who is AMAZING!) and I have also gotten my nails done there too! I love their shop that they have too and I also enjoy the products they sell. Everyone has always been friendly and kind. Prices are reasonable, especially with how great services are. Cant wait to go back. Every time I leave, I leave feeling pretty great thanks to the fantastic Taj team!

I saw Debbie to have my makeup prepared for my engagement photos. She is incredibly talented, custom mixing my foundation to match my face shade exactly on a palette. She made me feel comfortable, and she asked a lot of questions to make sure that I would get the correct results- and I was blown away by her talent. I wish she could do my makeup everyday, but since that’s not an option, she has found a new “regular” for all of my special events. She is also a total sweetheart, and the environment of Taj Salon makes you feel overall special!

Claire is absolutely exceptional and I cannot recommend her enough! I had relatively dark brown hair and wanted to go blonde, though I wasnt sure if it would suit me or my skin tone. Claire listened to what I wanted and gave me good feedback on the shade of blonde that would work best for me. She was realistic and let me know that it would take several sessions, but she was thorough, kind, and super informative (and very patient with me and my many questions!) And the results have been amazing. My hair is blonde now and still very healthy!I dont live in the U.S. anymore, so I sadly cannot go back to Taj, but I would highly recommend it to anyone. Everyone I encountered was kind and professional. Thank you again Claire!

I went to Taj salon for the first time today. And let me tell you, the experience I had was unforgettable. I was greeted right away by two very nice receptionist and Jasmine my stylist was amazing, she did a phenomenal job. Ive never had this experience at any other salon. This will definitely be the place I go to from now on. Thank you Taj staff for welcoming me and thank you Jasmine for my hair cut and everything you done for me. My hair is curly, thick and untamable but after my treatment it feels absolutely wonderful. Nice and silky soft. Theyre the best!

Took a chance going to Taj this past spring... Googled where to go for curly hair near me and Bryan from Taj came up, highly recommended. He really is great!! Im so glad to call Bryan my stylist and have the benefit of his knowledge and skill working my hair. And honestly, although Ive not utilized any of the salons other services, the staff are wonderful and the environment very friendly.

Bailey was everything I could look for in a stylist today during my appointment! She was very communicative and put her best foot forward. I have no complaints. It is also amazing to see your stylist so passionate & excited about what they’re doing. Will 100% be coming back to see Bailey!

Love this salon! I trust Kendra to take care of my hair, and she never disappoints. My hair is curly-wavy and likes to do what it wants. Kendra always tailors whatever haircut I want to my hair, and it always comes out great. The head, neck and hand massage is amazing, and really makes you feel pampered. The ladies at the front are polite and accommodating. The salon itself is clean and comfortable. I always book an appointment when Im in town!

I’ve gone to Taj for years and they always do great. I recently saw Andrea and she did an amazing job. She put in extra time to get me to the look I wanted. She did a great job listening to what I was looking for and making it happen. I’m so thankful! I would highly recommend Taj!

My daughter and I each got a haircut at Taj recently. We have very different hair and had different stylists (Angie did her short bob and Summer X did my long curls) and everyone was professional and committed. We felt safe and best of all, we both have great haircuts.

Angie was fabulous! She was just the right fit for me and my multiple color needs. Caitlyn, did a wonderful job on my haircut and was kind to this life long self stylist. Very pleased with my color and overall experience with both professional ladies.

Ive been getting my hair done by Angie at Taj Salon for several years. Shes amazing! Im pretty particular about my hair. Arent we all?! Angie never makes me feel like Im a burden with my peculiarities. And when I try new things shes quick to let me know shed be happy to fix it if I dont like it in a couple of days. The front desk staff is always helpful when scheduling (or rescheduling) an appointment, too. I look forward to the Customer Appreciation Event every November, too!

I had Baley and couldnt be happier with the coloring and extra care she gave me to make sure I was happy. I went in there with a head full of gray hair and walked out pleased with what she gave me. I highly recommend her.

I have been coming to Taj for 9 years for foils and hair dye and Very professional staff who know what they are doing. Recently I got a haircut there which is one of the best hair cuts I have ever had. Highly recommend.

I got my hair colored yesterday and it was a BIG change for me because I have never had anything other than highlights. Carrie did an AMAZING job! She matched the color I wanted perfectly and blended it so nicely. I am beyond satisfied with her work. Thank you again Carrie, you are AWESOME!!

I enjoy the facials at Taj Salon in Brooklyn Park. Sarah D. is the best provider. I literally go to sleep in her sessions… it’s that relaxing and calming. She knows exactly what my skin needs in every season of the year. I usually add a hot oil scalp massage with my facials and that’s just a cherry on cake. I come out refreshed, feeling light and ready to take on the world ( a little exaggeration but Sarah deserves all the praise). Highly recommend her.

When you walk in your are greeted by friendly staff and a clean well run salon! I love the products they use and I felt very pampered! The hand and arm massage they give you is awesome! I loved my haircut! My stylist was great! I would totally recommend Taj Salon!

I liked Taj when it first opened. Since then the prices are ridiculous on everything. I had several haircuts the first few years and no matter who cut it, it was awful. And expensive on top of it. I only went for massages after that. They have Web Openings & I had several massages for cheaper prices than normal because they were filling a vacant spot for the day. Then they took that away because the only way to get a cheaper massage is to sign up for a membership. Nope, not giving Taj access to my credit card on a regular basis. So now I get massages at 3 different places of choice for $25 to $30 cheaper. I will not be back

Ive been going to Taj for over a year and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff at Taj is helpful in accommodating my schedule and replies by email quickly. My stylist, Tessa, is incredible. She always has great ideas and makes me feel right at home. I highly recommend both Taj and Tessa.

I have super curly hair. I seen Bryan at Taj. e Bryan was amazing. He understood my hair type - very curly and very fine. He did an awesome job. Super impressed. He took the time to help me. Super happy!!

I went through Taj Salon for my wedding and they did a fabulous job! They came to us, showed up on time, were organized and accommodating and did an awesome job on myself, 8 bridesmaids and 3 mothers. Very nice ladies and I would definitely recommend them to any bride!

I’m very dark haired and I started the process of going light last summer. I’ve had Michelle and Jasmin do my color, treatment and cuts and they both do an amazing job! Super nice and I’m usually there only a couple hours, I’d highly recommend both of them if you are looking to go blonde :)

Have been a customer of BP Taj for several years. Bri takes excellent care of my asymmetric hair and Debbie is a fabulous massage therapist. Everyone is always cheerful and attentive to your needs.

The salon is clean, has a nice atmosphere, and everyone is helpful and polite. I was offered a beverage when I walked in which took me aback. Is this normal? Fantastic Sams offers me a 45min waiting period and thats all. Definitely surprised me in a good way.Bri (my stylist) made me feel very comfortable in a setting that a 30 something guy doesnt normally feel comfortable in. She was kind, witty and definitely did a great job on both my hair and my arms/hands! That grip!! I didnt know what to expect walking in and now that I know, I will definitely be returning to have her work her magic once more. Excellent experience, 10/10 would recommend.

I recently ordered some product but turns out it was discontinued. Andria was more than helpful to make sure I was able to get the same product in a different size. She went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. It only took 2 days for my shipment to arrive and with free shipping! I need yall to know that Vanessa has been my stylist since 2016 and Im obsessed with how perfect she gets my hair every single time. I recently had her do a very natural blonde partial balayage (I have above the shoulder length, thinner, straight, naturally dirty blonde hair). She knows how to listen, interpret, and execute my asks even when I dont really know what Im asking. If youre looking for a new stylist, try Vanessa! The partial balayage brightens everything up without looking like I colored all my hair - also overall easier and less expensive maintenance and natural grow out.Also, a shout out to this company for using a texting appointment reminder service as opposed to a call; much appreciated!

Also, the rest of the staf are very professional, the place is beautiful and extras like hand, neck and arm massage that are included, make it a great experience. I had never been to Taj Salon and Salon before until recently. I went there for an up do and makeup application for a wedding. Savannah did an amazing up do. Summer did an amazing job on the make up application. I would definitely recommend Savannah and Summer!

Great experience overall! Feels like a fantastic luxary voyage every time I step in this place to get my hair cut. I would recommend Bri Croatt for a haircut/hair stylist. She is easy going, consistent, and gives a grade A haircut everytime! I didnt know I looked this good until she became my go-to option for hair needs!

I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Monica. We started by discussing where the trouble spots were and if I wanted rocks or cupping done. I hadnt tried cupping before so I decided to do that too. It was a good massage and I will be back. The only problem I have is that Monica is booked at least two weeks out and so it would be hard to get there when a problem arises. I might have to check into their massage plan and go more frequently.

When I first started going to taj salon my hair was extremely damaged and short. I wanted to have super blonde hair and long locks. I have been going to Sam H for the past year now and would highly recommend her! My hair is as blonde as it has ever been and so long!! I feel so much more confident thanks to Sam! She has always listened to exactly what I wanted and makes my appointments relaxing and easy.

Love this place! We moved to Brooklyn Park a few years ago and thought I would give it a try for a cut and highlights vs driving downtown MPLS and it is SO nice. If you love Aveda you will love this place even more for hair, massages, facials etc. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

This is my salon. Ive been going there since it opened. Love the scalp, arm and hand massages. I dont schedule way ahead of time because my hair isnt always in need of a cut every 6 weeks so I just have to take the hair stylist thats available when I cant stand my hair anymore. I cant say Ive ever had a bad haircut. Im a senior citizen though and in order to get the discount you have to have services done before noon. The way I schedule its not easy to get those appointments.

I never posted about this but figured I should.Last year, my mom bought me and my sister TWO $200 gift cards and spent another $100 worth of clothing in there small boutique.I visited on New Years Eve to see what kind of products they had. The ladies were eyeballing me like crazy but they were always right in eyes view of us so they could clearly see that I was just looking. They were closing soon so me and my friend left. A lady followed us a minute later and seemed to be looking at the license plate of the car. We didnt think anything of it until the police showed up at my friends house. They came to my house too. They told us that the girls working caught us stealing and have a video to prove it. They left work and didnt show the police the video. My parents figured, well the police came and said they have proof... our daughter and her friend must be lying! About 2 weeks later the police let us know that they didnt have any proof at all. They lied and ruined our New Years Eve. We were going to spend $400 but got a refund due to the idiocy of the workers. They were very rude when we wanted the refund. Also, I have been here once before and they are OVERRATED. I wanted to color my hair medium brown and it turned out pitch black. Never coming back again, horrible experience!

I’ve been going here for a while and I wanted my hair to be dyed back to blonde since I dyed it brown a while ago. They didn’t blow dry my hair before I left because of coronavirus precautions so I didn’t get to see it. It looked more like highlights than my whole head and when I called they basically shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing we could do even if it wasn’t what I wanted. Even a discount on the next session would have been fine, just something to make up for the waste of $250. I get it’s hard to go dark to light, but if they weren’t sure they could do it, they should have directed me to someone who could and not waste both our times and my money.

I love this salon! All around best service from the minute you step foot in the door! Jasmine is top notch and Monica is the reason I signed up for their monthly massage program! Wont go anywhere else! Good job, Taj!

Ive been here a couple times .. To get a cut , tan buy products there as well and I always always tipped good . to get my extensions washed. $16-20 dollars twice . I called in to book an appointment to get it wash again . This lady told me its $45 per 15 minutes. Thats ridiculous ! Last two times were cheap because the new girls washed them was what she told me. That is very disappointing . I got the impression of that $16-20 was the fee normally because no one told me. Im never coming back . They raise price and try to over charge you . And they always have trouble finding my name .

Been seeing Nicole for massages for months now. She is professional and provides a totally relaxing experience. Taj has all the Covid precautions in place so I feel safe.

Great service as always, but my hair color is too dark. I’m a natural red head, and the hair color looks brown. There is no blonde in it. It is too dark for me. I like lighter to match my eyebrows and redder. I thought Sam had the formula for me on file, but it came out differently which I really didn’t notice until I got home. 😞

My fav salon for sure!! Aveda tea, scalp massage, hand massage, lip gloss... so much more than a hair cut or color. I’ve never had a bad hair service so all the extra little treats are just what a busy momma needs!

I got a bleach and tone a while back, my hair was over-processed severely. I noticed a day or so later after the initial excitement of being blonde again passed. I thought there was nothing I could do. Upon getting it cut at my regular place, she was pulling clumps of hair and asked me who bleached it because it was horrible and told me I should have gone back. I had to cut 4 inches of damage off, and had been growing my hair out.However, The stylists there are all very kind, and while I don’t know if I would get a bleach and tone done there again, they all seem very competent. It’s not a bad place just a bad event and I doubt I’ll be going there again because of it

The results are good, but they lose 2 points for business practices/service. Heres why... Recently I came in for my appointment to have my extensions removed. It was my 4th time doing this at Taj. I paid over $300 for said extensions. The cost to remove them runs $40-$80 and then to have them re-applied is another $40-$80 (and you have to have that done about every 6 weeks). I sat down in the chair for the removal, and was informed the removal was at no cost, but only because their policy regarding extensions had recently changed, and so by the way to have them re-applied the next day (my application appointment is always the day after) would be $250. Now, Ill go ahead and state that if you have extensions you sign up for costly upkeep. But this isnt about price, its about the fact that this business waited until I was seated in the chair for my appointment to blindside me with a price tag over 3 times the amount of what I had been paying. (1) I should have been informed when I made those appointments. (2) Since I purchased my extensions during the period of the prior policy, I do feel they should have honored that policy through the life of those extensions and that application. Then going forward, the new policy would apply for the customer. This is basic business 101. If nothing else, at least inform your client of a dramatic price hike at the time of making the appointment. Tell your customer what to expect. Never spring a change on them after theyve made an appointment and arranged their schedule to come to your establishment for a service. Bad form. And if you fail to do that as a business, definitely make up for it by comping that one time for a client. Yeesh. I will never go back to Taj out of principle. Anyway, the stylist removed my extensions, put them in an envelope, and I took them home. I cleaned them myself, purchase extension tape at Sallys, and reapplied them myself the following morning. The extension tape cost $6. It took me an hour to clean them well, re-tape, and reapply (3 packs). Results are the same. I saved $294 (including tip) and a lot of annoyance. Ill just be doing them myself going forward. Ive had them done enough times to know how it works, and the products/tools are readily available online if you know what youre doing and are competent. Overall - the salon/spa is lovely as far as the fact that you are greeted nicely, offered a beverage, and the stylists are well trained. Obviously - that goes for most higher end places. But for me, a business person myself, the real proof is in how situations like mine are handled, or correspondingly, mishandled.

Deceptive pricing. Wife went to get her hair foiled a month ago and was offered a $79 price. Last night she went and if was $300 for the same service. Turns out this salon provides an introductory offer but doesnt notify you of normal rates. Bad business!

Ive been going to TAJ for about 9 years. Ive had some great experiences and some not so great ones. They are definitely over priced unfortunately. When a service doesnt turn out right and you let them know, they are usually proactive about fixing the problem and making sure you are satisfied. I do recommend requesting a stylist that went to the Aveda school because they do a better job than the regency or PCI grads.

I first when to Taj because of a LivingSocial deal, even though the drive from New Brighton to Brooklyn Park was a long one. Three plus years later Im still seeing Kelsey, my stylist. Love my hair, and appreciate the extra pampering with the hand/arm massage! Kelsie is professional, and at the same time friendly and attentive.Im happy to recommend Taj AND Kelsie!

Wasnt to impress. I got my lashes refilled and with in a day My left side lost a bunch of lashes (can see different in picture) , the lady said i could come back in to get some more added(never said if was free or be a charge) but was getting ready to leave out of town so couldnt make it back in.

I’m always happy with the service at Taj. I typically don’t have one stylist I prefer because they are all great and I don’t plan my appointments in advance. 😬

My daughter went in for a quote on some work on her hair as it has always been an issue for her. She was quoted a price. We recognize it as a quote so it wont be exact but without ever telling my teenage daughter that it would cost more they simply proceeded to finish the work and charge almost DOUBLE the quoted price. I dont care what line of business you are in if you quote a price and in the process realize it will be more the only respectable thing to do is update the customer on the price. If you dont do that there should be recourse. Of course, because this business is we do the work and then you pay there is no real recourse to the salon to charge whatever they want regardless of the quoted price. I cannot recommend staying away from this salon more. Who knows, you may be the next victim of there unprofessional and shady business practices.

The people that work here are always friendly and helpful. The spa is always clean and very comfortable. I always enjoy my time here and I would definitely recommend this spa to my friends and family.I look forward to returning soon for services..

We all go to Taj for our hair and massage. We love their work and we love how professional they are. The shopping in the boutique is great too! Highly recommend!

I’ve been seeing Claire for haircuts, and she’s amazing! She listen to what you want. My hair gotten so healthy since she started trimming it.

Great salon, technically an Aveda salon but so much more. Ive utilized most of their services including: hair color, mani/pedi, waxing, and facials. All were wonderfully done by a caring staff that is willing to go the extra mile. It is a bit pricey but I find it to be worth it.

Mary is absolutely a brilliant esthetician. Shes knowledgeable and so artistic with eyebrows. I have sensitive skin and she always picks the perfect products for ne to use.

I had an appointment on Saturday with Alexyia D, for a hair cut. I love my hair cut! she is so good at what she does. I love Taj!Thank you again Alexyia!

Terrible customer service, and an inability to manage appointments. Scheduled an appointment 3 weeks out for a Wednesday because that is my only day off. Went in at 2:45 on Wednesday, and she told me I was booked for Thursday at 3:45. Well that doesnt work. Apparently someone went and changed my appointment 2 days earlier and didnt notify me. She told me that I have a very common last name... REALLY!! Thats your solution, is to blame it on my last name???

I just love it when I have an appointment, either for a hair cut, or body massage or a facial.. Ive found that I get so many different things done in one place.. everyone is helpful, and know jobs well
