I am not someone who identifies with the LGBTQ+ community but support it. Came in here with my boyfriend and they are amazing with service and are very welcoming. Will be coming back just because how awesome they were ♥️
At 5:30 when I arrived I sat in a chair that was at the table and the woman serving The drinks told me I couldnt sit there. My service colleague told me that I was fine. Thats why you have a bad attitude on the part of women. I preferred to move to a table, At 7:50 I asked the man for the last beer of the promotion that ended at 8:00 pm, the man served it to me and when I was leaving the woman, in an annoyed tone, charged me for the drinks. I told the man and showed him the time I was still in the promotion, the man apologized again and told me its fine. But the woman had nothing to do with the service the man was giving me. I felt it more like a way of harassing. Locate. To your staff, if someone else is already assisting you, you should not intervene... but beyond that, I noticed that woman was racist. Have a problem with it twice in less than 3 hours if not then You need to train your staff.
Been here 2 or 3 times in 2024 with my fiance. Tried to go during pride and they turned him away at the door due to having an ignition interlock notification on his ID. Not sure why it was a problem now and wasnt at New Years or the other times weve come. He felt pretty embarrassed and frustrated over the situation.
They were a sponsor for the Gala Festival, LGBTQ chorus members from all over the world. It nice to see a business support not only the LGBTQ community, but the arts. And the underwear 🩳 party wasnt half bad either!
Very happy to see The Eagle returning to its roots as a leather bar. Accepting of everybody, geared up or not. Im also impressed by the acceptance shown by the staff to those that are not cisgender.
We had a great time at this bar, it was lively but not too crowded. We even got to play pool on the only pool table there. Theres a room for dancing as well which looked enticing, maybe next time.
Nice place. Mostly just men so not too interesting to me but the drinks were good and the music was nice.
The Eagle is my neighborhood gay bar and honestly my favorite gay bar of the Twin Cities. I have always felt at home here and the culture is the perfect balance of chill and social.
Great atmosphere. Staff is fun. Like the outdoor area
Here for drinks with my softball team.It definitely is a cool, safe space. If you’re a gay guy! Kind of a bummer for the lone lesbian, but I still had a good time.Ladies, next!
Mason made my feeling towards my home away from home valid x100000 ! Thank you so much for you generous hospitality!!
Last night was my second visit and once I got past the whole waiting in line to order (this seems to be a Minnesota thing - polite, but not efficient), I realized that I enjoyed this place quite a bit.Waiting in line for ten minutes to order is uncomfortable for individuals with chronic pain and invisible disabilities, and it renders all of the bar seating unavailable.I would much rather grab a seat and wait my turn like any other bar in any other city. Otherwise, once I got used to it, it wasnt as bad.The bartenders were polite and friendly, although it seems like you open your tab with an individual bartender and not the bar as a whole? I just gave the second bartender a different card.Overall, the drink prices are reasonable and quite strong, and I felt like I had a good experience without spending too much, and would like to come more often. The show tunes were especially my style, and Ill have to visit the patio on a future visit.
Great bar! Theres a dance club side and a sit and chill side. Great for both moods!
Connor the barback is amazing! Me & my girls go back just for him. Great staff, safe vibes, great cocktails of course.
Happened upon eagleBOLT while looking for a bite to eat before the Vikings game. Was pleasantly greeting with a charming & friendly atmosphere, staff who were kind and accommodating despite the business, and delicious food. Would absolutely come here prior to a Vikings game again (get there early!) and would love to come here for a fun night out.
When I am visiting Minneapolis, this is my hangout. Nice staff and strong drinks. Too strong for me but hey thats just me. One suggestion. Drop the Sunday musical tunes and bring back the 1980s music format. I miss Gregg the bartender who passed away...always had a big smile.
Super slow service. Bartender had no pep in his step even though a line of about 9 of us had formed. Very disappointing. At least try to keep clients happy.
This place was the saving grace of my three days in Minneapolis. It provided me with some fun and drinks and social interaction and seriously the only food in town that was decent to eat. Seriously, I went to 6 restaurants, all on must eat lists, and all not good. But here I had a burger every night during my stay in town and it was really good. The staff is great, the bartender is super nice and attentive (Hey Tommy 😉) and I’m a little sad that my time there ended so quickly. It certainly added a nice fun memory to my adventure in middle America.
I love this spot! First time visit on a Saturday to get their $8 pitcher special and it did not disappoint!! My girlfriend and I, both straight, had the best time. Definitely full of testosterone but it was lovely and magical people watching. The staff and patrons were the friendliest bunch I have ever met. The service was on point. Super STIFF drinks, just the way I like em. Bar food was top notch and just what we were craving at the height of our tipsy moment. Will be coming back regularly!
We have been here before during really busy times and had no troubles. This time the bartender completely forgot to put one of our sandwich orders in. I get that it happens but he made no effort to push mine out before others, comp us, or offer anything. We ended up leaving so we werent late for an event without ever getting the sandwich that we paid for. When we tried to talk to someone about it they said we had to talk to the original bartender whose line we waited in for over ten minutes. Overall very disappointed and will not be back again. Hopefully someone enjoyed the sandwich I waited over 75 minutes for.
Nice place for showtunes on Sunday! Great drinks and the service is never disappointing. The only reason for not giving it a 5th start is because they dont accept American Express - kind of odd, its 2023
Someone who works here enjoy making a scene when it is not necessary. I have had great previous experience here but it was ruined by one staff who is probably what other reviewers are referring to. His game is not what I feel like EagleBoltBar should tolerate. He likes making a scene and humiliate people. All is welcome but to this person it has restrictions.
Zero stars as they had an event for cancer drive for brunch...and no where it says no kids... as we were inside almost 15mins looking at the menu just so the older guy told as to leave as our kids werent allowed in the bar.....wow!!! Poor customer service they should of said something as we walked in...not after we were sitting and looking at a menu!for 15mins
Best staff to ever step foot in a bar. I felt so welcome there ever since I first walked through the doors. All the bartenders know how to poor a stiff drink and make you smile. Back of the house knows how to cook some damn good food and FAST. And if your in to pool, one of the patrons or even staff are willing to show you how its done! If you havent been here before.... Just go? You definitely wont regret it!
Fun, easy spot to enjoy. Dont expect too much--this isnt ritzy, and it doesnt try to be nor does it need to be. What it does try to be is a welcoming, friendly, come-as-you-are LGBT neighborhood bar. Also a plus, a nice big parking lot right next to the building and not at the extremely high rates you find elsewhere downtown. Come alone, come with friends, all are welcome here.
Was very busy when I as there and the service was slooooow.
The general manager Paul is very kind, approached him to put in a good word for a worker there who cleaned up a spill for a friend of mine. the worker insisted that he do it for me, was so kind, and wanted to make sure we had a great time.
The patio is great, and the food is good. Most of the staff is friendly. The prices are a bit high ---I think a Corona is $6. The crowd is fun however. I could see how a female maybe uncomfortable there, as there is testosterone flying.
Best patio and pub in downtown Minneapolis! Everyone is always so welcoming here. Delish food too! We stopped in the other evening for tacos and burgers before a show at First Ave and had a great time out on the patio.
I love your patio, your servers, and your customers but I was not happy how other staff treated us today. I understand that it’s pandemic but you don’t have to roll your eyes on me when I politely asked to get the third chair for my friend (who I didn’t know is coming). You also don’t have to yell at my friend who was waiting for me while I was using the bathroom (she was wearing a mask). You also can’t tell us to get out the other way (exit that was not labeled). We were there multiple times and exited the same way we entered. We overtipped the whole time we were there. And you are our neighborhood bar that we want to support. But why are you treating people this way? So disappointing..
Brunch here on Sundays is awesome. Basic breakfast but tastes great! Staff are great whether you come for drinks or classic bar food. Really enjoy this place.
If I could give zero i definitely would. Spent extra money to give towards a fundraiser. Spent a half hour in line for a beer, almost fell asleep so bored. Finally got up to the the bar at 11:03 after watching the bartender give the 3 people in front of us with wrist bands drinks, 3 people next to us refills and then stated that he could not give us drinks because it was after 11. I stated we waited in line for a half hour and he said that wasnt his problem....you can imagine all ten of us left after that.
What can I say other than how much fun it is to be here. The drinks are fair, the music is in good taste, and they host many events. Things like Softball meetups and the like. They even host a furry rave-like party every few Saturdays. Its events like this that keep things interesting enough to return. If not for the good vibes then for the verity. Besides the events there are three places to hangout: The typical bar with a TV and a few booths is great for a traditional gay bar, whilst on the other side of the main wall is another bar paired with a dancefloor. Complete with projectors, lights, and a DJ booth, this is where I find myself spending the most time. Of course there is also a big smoking/vaping lounge outside, complete with a small heated shack and tables for the cold weather. Only reason for 4 stars is a particular bouncer who Ive run into more then once whos clearly a stick in the mud (no pun intended) Otherwise this place is great!
Last summer, on 2 occasions, it was severely hot. As a street performer, I danced into the bar, and the bartender really gave it to me.
One of the Main Bartender thought for 15 years or more thought it would be a great idea to talk about someone else HIV status. I know this because other people told me after they moved away from here they told me Texas would be a great place to live. One person was bit by a posionus spider and cried and wanted to say good bye.i gave the Bar my HIV varfacation. Which I didnt need to do. Not even a apologize. So Ill address it in person..Ive been to the Parking lot in Montreal had a blast. Hopefully growing pains. Must happen I guess. Adult spanked until the paddle breakes. Awe ... Im sensitive. Lol ego bust sad awkward turtle. Lol you like public humiliation small boy..... I caught what ur selling
I have been coming into the Eagle since the first week it opened. It has been my 2nd home for decades. Love all the recent and past employees. Great to see Tommy, Chris, Johnny and Michael. Really miss Poodle. Yet he knew as well as anyone... the show must go on.
Nice gay leather bar. The only reason I only have 4 stars, not 5 is because the music us too loud, you need to shout just to communicate with someone. These bars that play loud music and arent dance bars need to seriously look at the number of patrons who leave to have a conversation elsewhere.
Food was great and the service was good. I had the club sandwich, my partner had a salad. Everything was fresh, tasty and generous servings. Would definitely recommend it, and will go back myself.
Friendly staff, practical never more than 2 or 3 people a head except on events like Sunday afternoon beer bust from 4 to 8, their busiest eventWere featured national with the Superbowl, when the Eagle fans thought it was a bar relabled just for them. The bar has been around at least 25 to 30 years at a minimum
EagleBOLT is always welcoming and always fun. Daily specials. Weekly theme nights. A brand new dance floor. Great videos. Strong drinks and affordable. Check out the great patio with chatty patrons. On the weekends check out their great Bloody Mary bar.
Good drinks.🍹 Friendly staff. 👍 I cant say I have ever been disappointed. The menu items I have tried have been good. Stop in weekly. This is my Cheers bar.... 😁
Some of the staff are very rude people. They don’t know how to say the things in a decent way. I went there and I didn’t know it was underwear night and they ask me to leave if I didn’t get undress but they just told me: Get out, you need to be on underwear.. I was like “WTF”, say please, at least.
We were looking forward to eating at eagleBOLTbar, however, the bartender had other ideas. My partner and I were not acknowledged, and were rudely denied food service. We will not be returning to eagleBOLTbar.
I was not surprised to read a couple of other reviews mentioning the unwelcoming, aloof demeanor of the staff here from a few years ago.The atmosphere and appearance of this bar is nothing to feel superior about...maybe 1/2 step above a dive.
I guess I wasnt a regular. Took forever to get a drink. Then I asked for Titos Vodka and was given Rail Vodka. Normally I like the place. Maybe I will have better luck next time.
The bartenders are awesome, the food is good, and it feels very welcoming. I love karaoke night; bartender Mike and Karaoke guy John are incredible!
Fun gay bar in mpls. More toward leather on the eagle side, more average joe jock on the bolt side. Sunday beer bust and show tunes is fun on a budget. Thursday night bingo is a good time with great prizes...worth checking out!
Stopped here for a quick bite before a Guthrie performance. Good service and great food, burgers and onion ring baskets. Highly recommended!
$6 Miller lite drafts?? Really?? It’s a nice enough bar, but I expect a free shoe sign or hot towel treatment for that.
Me and my future husband were up for the Mall of America and decided to have a drink and we stopped in this nice bar and the bartender fixed his drink and was awful polite and very sociable. For sure be a future stop again.
Good, fast service. Drink specials, close to the stadium. Great pregame spot, atmosphere was good. Highly recommend checking it out.
Salt of the earth gay bar. Great bar food. Friendly and warm bartenders. Try Sunday happy hour/early evening for Show Tunes.
Shawn is THE BEST person you will meet in that bar. Hands down. All service is wonderful, thanks for a wonderful experience!
Great staff, good prices, parking you have to pay but youre downtown and should expect it! Lots of events so this is my go to gay bar!
Solid bar with outdoor space - leather & denim guys, show tunes sing-alongside, and solid staff.
Typically does good work, but on this visit a customer Don was extremely rude. I would suggest other places for service. I will mot be coming back here again!
Wonderful bar with a heightened focus on precautionary practices to ensure the spread of COVID19. Highly recommended for good quarantine experiences!
1st Time Brought By 2 Friends To Mingle. Pleasant Atmosphere, Friendly Bartenders, And Guests. I Plan On Returning Again And Again...
Very nice seating arrangement, friendly staff, food got brought to the table relatively quick.
Casual fun place. Not stuffy, nor boring. Great food, and fantastic drink specials.
Service is terrible but, hey, Im here to be with my peeps. My big, burly peeps. The website says restaurant, its just bar food.
Great food, excellent service, the Sunday brunch with some bloody marys cant be beat!
A little bright for me, but it did make my man look good.
Spacious bar with nice patio seating! Service is slow.
$6.25 for a PBR?!? Nah. Skip this and go to Saloon or any other bar.
Fantastic lunch specials, friendly staff, beautiful patio for the nice summer days.
I walked in after wiping off some salt off my back and they said I was too drunk. That was bullshit I had 2 drinks at another bar. Never going again.
Mid.

Good music, cool gay bar, delicious food and servers
Great Happy hours with OUT DOUBT. I like their themed nights. Check it out sometime.
Came in 11:30. They said it’s close
Fun gay bars especially 3fers on Fridays and Beer Bust on Sundays.
Perfect place to meet fellow kinky people.
Love this spot. Sunday beer bust is everything you hope it would be!
Best place in town to grab a drink, drinks are strong and cheap.
The most genuinely kind establishment that opens their doors to all! Always a good time at the Eagle.
The patty melts and mango slushees will always be my go to!
Not so good, filthy place, terrible staff, high prices I findit hard to beleave anyone goes there.
The support staff was super helpful. I appreciate how available they were.
Its alright. Nothing special. Would try it again sometime.
Bartenders friendly. Beer always cold and theres never a line...
