Massage Envy

1 star is for therapist Phaedra, or Shaun. I saw Phaedra back in 2022. Asked for deep pressure and it was deep alright. Cried out several times because she was hurting me. She didnt stop and did not communicate with me at all. Next day I could barely move, my back and sides had large purple bruises that lasted a week. I called and complained and asked that they make a note that I never wanted to see her again. Now, yesterday. I received a text on Tuesday stating ME Edina had openings (very hard to get into any of the local ME unless you book out a month in advance). Shaun had a 90-minute opening that worked with my schedule. Arrived on time, she was about 10 minutes late. She asked what I wanted, and I said deep tissue upper body only. Once I was lying face down, she was brutal - even when I said ow that really hurts, or if I flinched or cried out - she never let up. I shouldve stopped it when I started crying. She never once asked how is the pressure, how does that feel, etc. After the 90 minutes she said, when you are done you can go, I have to get more towels. She was rude and abrupt. This morning, I received a text asking me to rate my visit yesterday with Phaedra. Wait, I thought my visit was with Shaun. I am again bruised and couldnt sleep on my back at all because I hurt so bad. 5 Stars for management - I called and talked to a manager and told her the situation and asked if Phaedra and Shaun were the same person and she said they were - ???? (huh - red flag). She apologized and said again she would add a note to my profile that I shouldnt be scheduled with Shaun or Phaedra. She also comped my 90 minutes. So, if you have an appointment with Phaedra or Shaun beware that she is brutal and almost on the verge of abusive of taking her mood out on your body.

5/5!! Deborah was amazing and made me very comfortable. One of the best massages ive had in a while. Would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of some good tension relief!

While I haven’t had a good experience with every massage therapist I have seen at this location, Yolanda always does a great job. I like the amount of pressure she uses and gets the kinks out of my back. I leave feeling relaxed and my back feels better!

Tonie is a gem. She gave my wife an excellent and much-needed massage after the birth of our second son. Needless to say, she’ll be booking another appointment with Tonie in a month as an end of maternity leave rejuvenation treatment. Tonie was calming, professional, and extremely receptive to my wife’s needs. 10 out of 10!

Just come and see Katie. One of those experiences that you must have more than once(Like chips). She is a technician par excellence who aims to fix everything in one session but you’re drawn back because of her skill and dedication. She is also one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Together, you’ve got the ingredients for a super session. Try and you’ll be leaving your own reviews.

I have been seeing Malané for hot Stone massages and she is absolutely wonderful. She takes all my health needs into account and checks in to see how Im doing. I highly recommend her if you have chronic pain. Additionally, Nicole really took care of my skin and gave me great advice on things I could improve. My skin looks amazing!

I got a massage from gary and it was my first massage ever, and it was amazing! i never once felt uncomfortable, and he really worked at the spots that were tense. i felt brand new walking out of there. he had alot of great information to share and it was overall a great experience for me ! :) i will be coming back

Leah is so wonderful and versatile! Whether I need need a strong massage with silence to just be with my thoughts or something more relaxing while we chat throughout, Leah can do it! And the whole vibe of the place is a nice combination of relaxing and clean.

Leilena was WONDERFUL! She made me feel super comfortable & gave me the most amazing facial. I woke up the next day with glowy glass skin! Facials have never been relaxing for me due to my acne prone skin & extractions are always very painful but she really took her time & made sure to let me know when a painful one was coming so I could mentally prepare. Cant recommend her enough - I will definitely be going back to see her!

I had in mind exactly what I wanted out of my services at ME. Cearra matched my ideal and then some! She gave me advice (even wrote it down) for what to look for in products based on what my individual skin needs and walked me through each step of the process, answering any questions I had along the way. My skin was glowing and fresh, even when i woke up the next morning! But more than her technical skills, she provided SUCH care. She remained incredibly professional while creating a space to connect, human-to-human. The hour with her was exactly what my soul needed. If you arent sure who to book with: this is your gal.

Very well run location. Kaleb is great—he really understands musculature and movement, so when you describe what hurts, his massage *helps*. I come out feeling better and looser and am almost never sore the next day. Five out of five, no notes.

This experience was awful!! My massage only ended being 40 minutes at best (supposed to be 50). The massage itself was the worst I’ve ever had. She was rushed, fast, scratched my head so fast, I had no idea what was even happening. They offered me the intro rate (still $87 after tax) then when I spoke with a manager to see if I could get my money back or another session free in place of this terrible experience; they would only offer another $87 intro session + enhancement. When I tell you this massage was like this person never even went to massage therapy school, like someone off the street could have done a better job, I’m not joking. I will not be going back for the intro rate.

Was in town for business and needed some knots worked out after a long flight and delay. Maurice was great - really found the areas that needed work. Was a great find - I was able to schedule quickly and I’ll be back when I’m in town.

Nikole is hands down the best aesthetician I have seen! She is honest about what products and services are best for my skin type, she pays attention to what I tell her works and doesnt work and has helped to transform my skin over the last year+ I have been going to her. She is funny and warm, and makes the whole experience so relaxing.

Lily is absolutely amazing. While giving me a massage, I fell asleep about four times and woke up feeling like a new person. She was very kind and made sure I felt comfortable. seriously going to her Every time.

Craig was exceptional providing a deep tissue massage for my husband who works on a computer all day and has very tight shoulders. Will definitely visit him again!

Dani was respectful and took the time to understand where my pain was and what level of pressure was appropriate. She wrapped up the massage with a warm towel over my back which was nice and soothing. This was the best massage that I received at this location. I would highly recommend her.

I’ve been a member for like 10+ years and have never missed an appointment. I have however had Massage Envy cancel my appointment at the counter when I’m there at least 3 times. I miss one appointment and they tell me: if they don’t charge me, my massage therapist doesn’t get paid. What? Is that even legal? I will be canceling! They send daily spam emails and if you opt out, you also don’t get reminders. They don’t have good therapists anyways, except Brad. Brad is great. Go to Brad!

Kaleb is wonderful! He really focuses on the areas that bother me the most! He is very professional and just lets you relax without talking a lot.

The company refused to take me for a 2nd trimester low risk prenatal massage with formal legal consent. Bummer for the massage therapist missing out on their gratuity and the experience. Most massage schools require basic education in prenatal work. This person I was scheduled with has the training to provide a safe massage session. As a massage therapist myself of 10 years, I feel this was very unprofessional to turn a paying client away.

This place has the worst customer service and accountability. Twice I cancelled appointments and both were not cancelled due to new people (employees don’t last long here) continually starting at this location and not knowing what to do. I’ve been very kind and understanding, but then being charged for the services has made me extremely frustrated for their lack of accountability. They ended up tracking up who caused the error as I provided descriptions or first names, but it took a couple of days and they were going to charge me if they did not know who it was. They now implemented a rule where first names are no longer given out and it has caused a big mess with others who have had similar issues. Please avoid Edina Massage Envy, it is not worth it!

Amanda is phenomenal! I come in with so many knots, and as I get off the massage table I hear the popping release. She is also very pleasant and professional.

This was my first time at Massage Envy. The massage itself by Maurice was very good. He loosened up my neck and worked on my back. I was met in the lobby 8 minutes after my start time and checked out at the desk 4 minutes before the hour, so it was closer to a 41 minute massage than a “60 minute” massage. I understand there’s time to consult, and time on both ends for getting un/dressed, but if you’re gonna call it “60 minutes”, it shouldn’t start late and end early. It felt like my massage time was used to get back on schedule. I’ll probably try it again. If the timing is the same, I probably won’t come back.

I’ve been seeing Craig and Kaleb for help with my thoracic outlet; both are amazing providers. The front end staff are always friendly and efficient as well. I’ve been to other ME locations around the cities, and this is probably my favorite one.

Amanda is the best! She should be giving the other Therapists schooling on how it’s done! Also, & this is just my own personal opinion but the mention of TIP’s at the front desk is extremely tacky & unprofessional. TIP’s are up to the customer’s discretion & not an obligation! I always TIP, even when the service has been less than satisfactory. I’m also a retired professional & licensed Cosmetologist; I come from a family that has owned salons here & still does on the east coast. Being said that having signage posted & the expectation of TIPing leaves me with a negative impression on the ME establishment!

Very good experience at this Massage Envy. Brad was awesome - really understood what I needed and used techniques that I had not had before that worked well! Ladies behind the deck were very nice and helpful!

The massage was average. The massage ended 10 minutes prior to the top of the hour, so it was really ~45 minutes instead of an hour. The cost for a non member plus tip was ~$160 which sounds ridiculous to me. They also really try to sell you the wellness plan which is an awkward talk after a massage.

Just wanted to give Maurice at Massage Envy - Edina, MN a huge shout out for the amazing massage yesterday! His presence was so relaxing and we had a wonderful conversation.

I had a 90 minute massage with Maurice. I explained at the beginning I have fibromyalgia and some points on my body I have a lot of tenderness. I said I would tell him if the pressure was okay and he would ask if it was okay at different times, too. He did such a good job. It was one of the best massages Ive had in a long time!

Chhavy was great! One of the best massages I have had in a while. I have already booked my next session with her.

Reception ladies were very welcoming and nice! Space is so much better than the dumpy lake street location!Debra as always is great!

My firm full body 60 minute massage was average, closer to ~40 min and half-body. I requested full body with the focus on my shoulders and the masseuse did a good job only in the shoulder area and skimmed in all the other parts.

My massage was much different than any other I’ve had at massage envy.Ive had a membership for probably almost 10 years. It was a lot of stretching and REALLY hot in the room. I heard him use massage lotion maybe 3 or 4 times? I tried to give it a chance chalking it up to trying something different but it just wasn’t my thing. A lot of “karate chopping” type techniques that weren’t my favorite… I felt like I was at a cheap shopping mall massage place, kinda! I know there’s stretching options at massage envy and that’s not what I chose, at all. He gets a 3 because he was trying I think but I do not think that is the type of massage that should be given without somebody requesting it.

Phaedra is the Best! She listens to what you want her to focus on and just makes all your aches and pains go away! She is just a master at her craft. The Edina Massage Envy ladies at the front desk are always professional and so kind. Such a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.

Amber was amazing, I felt so great the rest of the day and my back does feel better today!

Staff is friendly. Ive had massages and skin care by multiple providers at this location and have been pleased everytime. This location is a not the closest to me, but worth the drive.

Dani did a great job. For my first time back on the table in over a year, Dani was very comforting in easing me back into the process. I will be requesting Dani in the future.

Hugely Overpriced and Overrated ! 0 amenities, You would think for $235 for 90min You would get a bottle of water.. Nope. here’s a plastic cup get out. Oh, do you want a membership? No, I do not.!So many Better choices than this place.

The esthetician I was assigned to at Massage Envy charged me for services I never consented to, insisting that I had agreed to them. It was my first visit to Massage Envy, a birthday gift from my mother who used her credits to purchase a facial for me. Prior to the session, the esthetician briefly outlined the procedure, but oddly didnt ask about my preferences. Despite my desire to just relax, I found it impossible as the esthetician talked incessantly throughout the facial, which ended abruptly before I could fully unwind. As I prepared to leave, intending to leave a $20 tip, I was startled to see the total nearing $100. Questioning this, I was informed by the receptionist that an additional charge was for an upgrade I supposedly received. I vehemently disputed this, as I neither requested nor received any such upgrade beyond the basic facial. Despite attempts to resolve the matter, the esthetician stood by her claim that I had agreed to the upgrade. Such deceit from a well-known chain and an esthetician I trusted left me feeling deeply betrayed. What was meant to be a thoughtful gift turned into a disappointing and frustrating ordeal. I have no intention of returning to Massage Envy and would caution others against doing so.

I saw Shaun for my deep tissue massage. I have seen her before and see her when I can. She is even better now. She listens to how you would like your massage done and how deep. She starts out slow and finishes hitting the last tough spots. If you like a deep tissue Shaun is one to see!

I wasn’t one for massages but Sliver has changed that and it took lots of tries to find her and I’m not letting her go! Also make sure you add the Enhanced Muscle Therapy!! You’ll thank me later

Zachary’s deep tissue massage was just what I needed. Very firm. If you are looking for deep intensity- I highly recommend Zachary at the Edina location.

My appointment was 1:00pm, the massage therapist called me 10 minutes late, her massage was okay but I got charge for massage, tax and gratuity $161.70.To be honest the charge compare to massage was too high and unfair.

Danielle is so sweet, fun and she can give a great massage. I don’t like a fluff and buff, I like a DEEEEEP massage. She’s small but she’s mighty!!!

I had an appointment for my birthday that i made in advance. at the very last minute they called and canceled on me, i then rescheduled for a different day and asked if they could maybe throw in something extra or a discount for the inconvenience and they said no. If i cancel on them, i pay a fee, if they cancel they should be throwing in something extra or a discount. I understand things happen although i was surprised to hear no from them.

I had dermaplaning done with Shelli at the Edina ME location. She did a great job and explained what she was doing. Highly recommend

Nicole was very personable and explained the process so I knew what to expect. I felt pampered and comfortable.

Malane was so kind and knowledgeable. She adjusted the pressure of my hot stone massage accordingly to the areas that were in need.

The environment was soothing and calm. The areas that I needed the work in were handled well and I knew the service had met my needs when the message was finished.

Too much lotion and yood aggressive for my request at medium pressure. I would book again, buy would be sure to be more specific about my requests beforehand.

I signed up for a 6 month membership and LOVED my massages with Zack. However, the management service is a pain in the butt. I knew I only wanted to do 6 months and asked how I had to cancel in advance to avoid autopay. They told me I have to call a manager prior to when I want to cancel but after I’ve used all my credits. It felt old school to me but I added a reminder in my calendar. I called and it took 5 days for them to call me back. After calling she asked me two questions and said it takes 10 days to process the payment and that I’d be charged one more time because I was within the window of processing. We agreed to not pay because I had called well before the 10 days. However, I was charged and after multiple calls of phone tag, realized they had the wrong email for me to fill out a PAPER PDF cancellation. 5 calls, a refund request and a paper cancellation later, I’m out.Get with the times massage envy.

Relaxing massage with good pressure. Therapist was very professional and friendly. Would appreciate it though if therapists would let you know ahead of time that they don’t do feet or scalp. When scheduling a full body massage, I would expect head to toe massage.

I thought the 60 minute massage was $70-90, as that’s what the website said. No one said anything over the phone about a membership, I didn’t know that’s how it worked. When I got there I had to clarify that I was only there once, and didn’t want a membership. Without the membership, my massage ended up being $125, PLUS $9 tax, PLUS tip, it ended up being $158. The receipt said I had a “custom session”, which I didn’t sign up for. When I asked for a little more focus on one area and less on another, I had no idea it would cost more, it was still an ordinary massage under 60 minutes. The massage itself was fine, but I feel swindled. Never coming back there again.

Marie is the absolute best at a deep tissue massage. It hurts so good!

Shaun was an amazing massage therapist. It’s like she read my mind and healed me! I was really impressed with her level of skill. I love this Edina location, and I have had many good therapists at this location.

Be careful when you visit Massage Envy! My wife was tricked into signing up for a membership that will cost our family $981 for services that well never use. We tried to break our membership but they said there was no way because its actual installments. Even when our credit card was stolen, they somehow figured out how to bill our new card, and they keep taking money out for no services rendered. At this point, theres no way that wed even use this chain as they have demonstrated unethical and (in my opinion) illegal behavior.

I had a great massage with Dani at the Edina location. She was strong enough to do deep tissue but with great technique to keep my muscles from fighting her. She was very friendly and personable as well.

Horrible customer service and uneducated employees. I got convinced to sign up for a membership after my first visit because it was actually a great facial. My second time after getting a membership was not as good, with my “1 hour” facial only lasting 45 minutes, including prep and an add on. After this I decided to cancel the membership. When signing up for my membership, the employee who was helping me told me multiple times that I could cancel whenever I want, which I admittedly thought was strange but yeah sounds great. I asked again multiple times if I could cancel before the six months was over and she continued to reassure me. I just trusted the employee and didn’t read every word of the contract which was my mistake, but I think a business should still honor what was promised to a customer. On the phone trying to cancel I was told “it is your word against hers” and nothing can be done. Yeah ok. I don’t know if the girl who signed me up was just dumb or was intentionally being predatory. Either way, never sign up for this membership, I had a severe lapse in judgement and will be out hundreds of dollars for it.

Melissa is the best! Every time I have a massage I walk away with a new attitude! She is professional and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed! She is respectful of your time. Good conversation if you want it or silence if you need it. ME is so so lucky to have Melissa on their team! This last time I was in the staff was having fun getting ready for Halloween, and it was so evident that there are a lot of friendships and respect in their professional space.

Much like many of the other recent reviews I have family members feeling scammed into this Membership program. They are clear when you sign up, the value you get by locking in several months of service. What they fail to mention is how much of a nightmare it is to get out of services. Even if your agreed period is over and you are month to month they have told us they require WRITTEN cancelation as well as minimum 20 days notice or we will still get charged. In this day in age these business practices are as unethical as it gets. This is nothing on the services provide and everything on one of the most shady business weve had to work with.

I booked a facial because I had received a gift card. In the room, the esthetician suggested a service for my skin without mentioning that it was TWICE AS MUCH as what I had booked. She at no point mentioned a higher price. What was supposed to be a relaxing treat for myself turned out stressful when I had to pay. It was embarrassing and very frustrating. When an esthetician suggests a new service, they should be required to mention the price upgrade. This was my first facial and I feel like I was taken advantage of because of that. I’m hurt and now stressed about how much money I unknowingly spent. Not everyone knows how much things are just from the names of a service. Price should not be a shock at the counter.

Tamara was amazing!!!!! I have been struggling w/my neck & shoulder pain w/chiropractic care & regular massages.This is my first visit w/her & went above & beyond to help me get some relief & she succeeded 😁. Can’t wait for next appointment w/her

Brad and Shaun are amazing at giving a full body, deep tissue massages. The staff are always friendly and the environment is soothing and clean.

VERY unprofessional upper management! They treat their front desk staff horribly, gossip about them, and fired the front desk staff without reason. The manager STOLE MONEY from their own clients. Shaun was a horrible therapist and terrible employee, she is way too tough and left bruises. The management talks inappropriately about guests, employees, and personal life. I would never recommend this establishment for clients or as a career. Very discriminatory and horrible people to work with. Do NOT reccomend! Take your money elsewhere!

Awesome massage skills!! I’m such a wimp when it comes to rubbing out knots & tight spots.. I had a very tight neck and shoulders.. I booked a female masseuse for 90 minutes and she was very torture and very rude I couldnt even finish my session I wouldnt even wish my worst enemy to see that woman and I would never go back to that location.

Poor customer service. Spoke to an associate in person and then called twice to freeze my membership before they followed through with the request. Also, be warned, if you freeze (aka pause your membership for still a fee- you are charged nearly double for the same services). Would not recommend membership.

Shelley makes great recommendations for my skin, does a lovely job performing the procedure, and is a delight to chat with…or not, if I just want to relax.

Tried to cancel my membership in the initial term due to loss of employment/income (which I believe should qualify as the extenuating circumstances I am allowed to cancel for during the initial term). They said the only reasons to cancel are moving or a doctor’s note, which directly contradicts the contract they had me sign. How absolutely predatory.

Somehow I got my appointment time wrong- thought it was 3:30, but was actually 3:00. They called me at 3:10 and I said I could be there by 3:30 at the latest. They said that wouldn’t work, but could get me in at 5 instead. Then they called back 9 min later and said sorry, actually they couldn’t get me in at 5, and I would have to pay the full amount. I said I could be there in 3 minutes (it was 3:21pm) and since I had an hour appointment, I’d just do a half hour. They said that “wouldn’t make sense” and would have to charge me the full rate anyway. She then tried to charge me $120, to which I balked at, and said “oh sorry, it will be $75.” I had a gift card so I paid with that. So much for a holiday treat. The gift card with leftover money is in now in the trash because I won’t ever try and reschedule. To not even accommodate a half hour, when I paid for a full hour, is completely ridiculous. I take full responsibility for getting the time wrong, but the fact that they were not willing to be flexible AT ALL is just poor customer service.

Nov 3rd my wife stopped in to verify a gift card was still valid for $225. The girl verified it was still good. Last night we came for our massages and when we attempted to pay for it using the gift card they said the card had already been used by someone in Midtown West NY on Nov 10th. The card was 4 years old, 1 week after verifying the card it gets used in NY???? Seems fishy.

I love getting my massage once a month. It helps my muscles and body alot. Especially when there stiff. I am so happy going to get my massage s. I recommend them to my family and friends always. You would agree with me. The Staff the front desk are nice & friendly. Plus helpful. The massage therapist s do an amazing job too.. There friendly,helpful,supportive and kind. I have no issues with massage envy. There so nice too. I love going there. I get excited when I go there once a month. I give them five stars always. I like my massage therapist I have alot. She is an angel.I love getting my facial done as well. It feels wonderful. I am satisfied with my facial. The facial therapist is so nice, friendly, helpful and always ask me questions. My face feels so soft, nice and wonderful after its done.

I’ve been going to Amanda for my massage therapy needs now for a couple of years. She’s the best. Very versatile - can handle both the tough and not-so-tough situations. Always a great conversation.

Had a great massage with Sonya - I had been traveling and my body was exhausted from air travel, walking around tourist attractions, dancing at a wedding, and sleeping on hotel pillows, and she really helped me feel much better. 60 minutes cant solve everything, but it made me so much more comfortable and able to sleep last night. She was responsive to my requests for more or less pressure, let me know a couple at home tips for when things get sore or tight again, and managed to address my biggest pain points all across my body.Scheduling can be challenging at this location, (4 or 5 reschedules in a couple weeks in April), but ending up with Sonya worked out well, and her massage and customer service were great.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership, no one calls back extending the service/billing time. Today I’m scheduled for a service, it was delayed an hour, and then after driving in for the new appointment time it’s fully cancelled, with no prior communication. Poor customer service. If a manager reads this, call me cancel as I have tried all avenues, even in person, a apparently only one person can take care of this.

I was getting very frustrated with this business as people were canceling right snd left, couldn’t get an appointment four weeks at a time. When I did get a massage they were either so painfully painful that I would go home bruised or a nonexistent massage which was a waste of my time and left me frustrated. I had my first massage with Cari last night it was excellent all the way through she did exactly as I asked her in an in the pressure that I asked her she was engaging and I enjoyed her as a person. She also does my husband and he was trying to keep her a secret because he didn’t want me to take up her time. She is the best !

This place is a SCAM!I had a membership here over last winter for 8 months and only used it twice because it was impossible to get an appointment, they were always booked. Then last summer my identity got stolen and I had to cancel my cards so I missed some payments. When I just tried to restart my account, not only did I find out that they cancelled my account and erased the 6 massage credits that I had saved up, but they were going to make me pay for 3 missed payments and give me NO massage credits in return. That’s right, after stealing my money by voiding my credits they were going to make me pay $200 just for the right to book again and give me nothing in return! NO WAY! To make things worse, the receptionist talked to me like I was beneath her and like she had something else she would rather be doing.The massages I did have were pretty bad anyways, I only signed up because it seemed like a good deal at the time, but they don’t tell you that you have to book 3+ weeks in advance if you want to use your credits, and that you lose everything you have stored if you pause your account!!!DO NOT GO HERE! THESE ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!!

This was my first time at the Edina location. It’s a beautiful and relaxing setting. I didn’t catch her name but the lady at the front desk who checked me in was so sweet and helpful. My massage therapist was Yolanda and she was AMAZING! She provided just the perfect pressure and checked in to see how it was feeling along the way. She provided a warm towel and really had great technique. I feel so great afterwards. Thank you!

I did not enjoy my massage. First off, the lady that did my massage accused me of wearing too much perfume “it might make me sneeze “ when in fact I had nothing on. I was cold the whole time and the pressure was not what I wanted.

It’s always a gamble with this place. My massage last night with Phaedra was a NIGHTMARE! When I said I wanted a deep tissue massage, I didn’t expect to cry out in pain and when I said it was “too much pressure”, she just kept on going without any regard for my comfort. I was terrified and prayed my way through the massage. I gave her a $20 tip, not because it was deserved, quite the contrary. I felt sorry for her as she clearly does not care about herself or your customers! Today I woke up with bruises on my body! In retrospect, this felt like a physical ASSAULT, not a massage!

A massage is a gift you give yourself. This is a clean and quality business. However, getting into appointments and their staff turn over rate makes it hard to get appointments that fit ones schedule. A shout out to Tina at the Edina location because she’s amazing and I wish they had more therapists like her. The “word on the street” from their very own therapists (three now) is they need to be more competitive with their salaries and benefits package to keep staff happy because this lack of financial support trickles down to the clients. Other than that it’s a great business.

I love the Edina location, always have a great experience here. Amanda was awesome! She took the time to listen to what I was looking for, I definitely felt like I was able to customize to what I wanted. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Since i walked down the steps i got a friendly welcome from CHAR, she is so nice, it was my first time to have a massage ever and she made my experience feel less awkward, she showed me the room she explained to me what will happen,she guide me through everything, from the beginning to the end.SUE was my masseuse she was amazing,i felt so comfortable, i was so relaxed and stress free, i evens arranged for only her to massage me every time, for her outstanding work.The place looks very neat and clean, they offer you a drink apon arrival.The staff is very nice, i have another session in 2 weeks i cant wait.💆😊💆

My low rating reflects not only the massage but the environment as well. My masseuse was sick with cold symptoms. She explained they were allergies when I asked her about her symptoms since they obviously interfered with what should have been a quiet and relaxing environment. I proceeded to put my mask on and actually ended the massage early since I became uncomfortable with her cold and the enclosed space and her proximity to me.In this pandemic climate I believe it is disrespectful to offer such a personal service while you are exhibiting cold symptoms. It’s disrespectful not only to the clientele but the community at large that the business serves.I did complain to management and felt that she was busy and my complaint fell on deaf ears. This was the Edina location. I urge future patrons to not feel obligated to continue a massage appointment with someone that is sick. Though it is an unfortunate incident but management should be able to accommodate the service with a different masseuse or reschedule free of charge for a later date.

Massage and other services are always great. Due to some financial hardships, Im trying to cancel and that process is IMPOSSIBLE. I was just told the manager will call back within a week and then it takes 10 days to complete, which puts it past the next bill cycle. I cannot believe in 2022 that it takes 2+ weeks to cancel a membership. Total scam.

Massage was just okay but the person working the front desk was not professional at all. They constantly badgered me about getting a membership both before and after the massage, even though I told them this was just a one time deal. When I finally told them that it’s just not in my budget they conceitedly told me that all I should do is cut back on “getting coffee at Starbucks” and I should be okay. It was extremely uncomfortable to have to keep saying no to them, and once I told them I for sure wasn’t getting the membership they stopped acting polite. Definitely never getting a massage here again.

Sarah is a fantastic massage therapist and I highly recommend. She does really well with deeper pressure and getting to the root issue of your aches and pains. She has also been working at this location for a while so it’s nice to find a therapist that won’t be gone in a month.

I can attest to prior reviews about negative experiences with management at this location. In person, the managers are courteous, but they do not follow through on their word and made my exit from my membership incredibly difficult. When I submitted my cancellation in accordance with all instructions, they ignored my emails for weeks. I had 2 years worth of pre-booking credit as well as a partial service left over on my account (IN WRITING from one manager) that had not yet expired, but a different manager decided these remaining benefits would not be honored.That said, the massage therapists Ive seen were all incredible. Big shout-out to Carie, Brittany, & Melissa - thanks for all the great appointments. Id recommend drop in appointments with any of these therapists, maybe just skip the membership so you dont have to deal with the less than stellar managers.

When I go for a massage I’m going there to relax and the masseuse that I had was making conversation for 40 out of the 60 min I was there. A lot of it was trying to sell me on the membership they are offering. (This also happened with the clerk at the front at the end.)I opted in to get an add on service during my massage which the masseuse, Phaedra, did incorrectly as she informed me.She said to me half way though the add on that she was supposed to start with me face up but that “we will just go with this now.” I add on I got included getting heating and cooling gel put on so when it was time for me to lay on my back the cool gel reactivated and I was freezing! I was shivering the rest of the massage and it was immensely had to relax. I asked to turn up the heat on the bed but I was as high as it would go. Throughout the whole massage she kept telling me to relax when she was hurting me even after I informed her that it was too much and she just kept blaming me that if I just were to breath it would feel better and kept at it going harder telling me to relax and breath.At the end when I walked up to pay for my massage the clerk kept pushing and pushing the membership and after telling him no 5+ times and that I just couldn’t afford it he suggested to look at my spending and cut back on food or Starbucks! Not professional.All in all not relaxing at all for my first massage and really disappointing.

Initially I was very happy with my membership. As time went on I would say about 40% of my massages got cancelled, usually only a day or two ahead of time. Because they book 6 weeks out I have started to rack up massages. Its incredibly frustrating to pay for a monthly membership and not be able to go monthly. They are CONSTANTLY cancelling due to scheduling errors which I think means they dont want their therapists to have 30 min free so they just cancel on you. Their solution is to use up your points on add ons or to get a facial. Not a fix for me.

The worst massage envy ever. I have been a member for 8 years and this place does not know how to run a business. I got banned from all massage envies in America for telling a therapist she is beautiful and for asking her on a date. I lost over 500 dollars in massages n no one will talk to me or resolve this situation. I was just being nice cause the therapist had a bad few weeks from breaking up with her boyfriend. I just want real answers and my 8 massages I lost for ever.

I have come here several times and was less than satisfied with my massages. Once, I overheard two massage therapists talking about how stiff I was and how hard they had to work to give me any relief - they didnt. Multiple times, during massages, Ive had therapists tell me how tense I am, and again, I received little to no relief.I had an appointment scheduled this evening but had an emergency come up, they still charged me over $40 to cancel same day, but I had absolutely no idea they had this rule. I was never informed when speaking with them.Honestly, I think massage envy sucks. They are too big of a chain and I feel they dont have highly trained massage therapists working there. Theyre a bit unprofessional here. Not everyone working there is bad, but at least at this location, Ive never been relaxed. I leave more stressed than when I came in, and I will not return to this location, or maybe any of them ever again.

I was at Massage Envy, Edina location this week. I have had the worst experience with their Therapist, Phaedra. She showed up late than usual time to start the session. After 5 minutes of starting the session, I interrupted her mentioning that the pressure is too high for me to tolerate and it is getting extremely uncomfortable. It almost felt like she is going to break my bone or cause some severe damage to my body. I couldn’t breathe due to the extreme high-pressure massage. Even after telling her several times, she didn’t slow down, instead she started arguing with me and started finding my fault. She said I am not relaxing that’s why it’s hurting so much, and she is going even deeper into the problem areas. What kind of rational human being would do that!! I was still trying to talk to her respectfully, I told her due to the extreme pressure that she is applying on my body, that’s my body’s natural reaction. She needs to slow down. She had no respect for the clients. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. After the message, I felt worst, both emotionally and physically. My body was extremely sore, and it is still sore today. After the session, I did speak to the manager of the facility and shared my feedback. I am hoping Massage Envy, Edina takes this matter seriously and educate their therapist the basic thing to be polite and respectful to their clients and understand the clients need. My recommendation would be to avoid this therapist at any cost.

This is Linda writing....I had a wonderful experience with Tamara as my massage therapist at Massage Envy, Edina location, on Friday, 07/01/2022!! Though I normally get a deeper tissue type massage, I opted for a light to medium intensity massage with Tamara, instead, for this session and I am grateful I did!!! Tamaras touch, though less intense than Imnormally used to, was no less effective once our session was concluded! Within 15-20 minutes of our 90 minute session, I believe that is when I fell completely asleep!! When I awoke during the last 5-10 minutes of the session, I felt refreshed, and my neck, shoulders, and upper back had regained the range of motion that had SOMEHOW been lost during our 8 to 10-hour drive home from Missouri, where wed been visiting family for the previous week. All tension, stiffness, and even the majority of my pain was GONE, INCLUDING 95% of the pain from my Rheumatoid Arthritis that normally bothers me when we first arrive home!!Im so grateful to Tamara, and to Massage Envy for also offering the CBD Cream as an option during my massage. To be fair, Ive had the CBD Cream used on my back during a session before, and its ALWAYS been beneficial to the outcome of my massage, compared to massages Ive had without it. However in this session, I believe it was more the technique that Tamara used with her hands and arms that gave me the best benefit than the CBD Cream. Together, they worked in concert to give me the MOST INCREDIBLE RESULTS Ive EVER had, to date, with Massage Envy!! So in closing, I just want to remind people that you dont ALWAYS have to have someone digging deep into your muscles and other tissues to get good, better, or even the BEST results from a massage, EVERY TIME!! Mix it up here and there and you might be pleasantly surprised!! And if youd like to try someone with a great light-to-medium intensity technique, Tamara is your gal to seek out!!! Do not book a massage here! I had a massage booked for weeks to help with a pulled hamstring. Massage Envy sent me numerous texts and emails reminding me to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out their paperwork. After arriving early and listening to a sales pitch about how great they were and how highly recommended the therapist was I was still waiting 15 minutes into my appointment. When I went back to the check-in desk to let them know I was still waiting they informed me that they would have to reschedule. No explanation. Only a brief “we’re sorry for the inconvenience”. Terrible service. They didn’t offer another therapist.

Always have a good experience with my therapist Theo. He is professional and takes a lot of pride in his work. He communicates well and works hard in working out any trouble spots that you have. Hes willing to spend as much or as little time over the various sore or aching parts as you need. You feel like a million bucks after. He is extra cautious about following health safety regulations since he has a immuno-compromised family member and Im glad for it since I work in a hospital. You cant go wrong with him.

I used to love going here. As a member you got in much sooner than customers that didn’t have the membership. Now, the therapists call in sick Ali the regular after waiting weeks and weeks to get in for an appointment. It’s beyond disappointing these days. They put you on the cancellation list but rarely does that work. It seems like they need to start hiring more dependable employees and more of them. Members should not have to wait months and months to get an appointment. Honestly contemplating canceling it because other than a small discount in price it’s just not worth having it anymore

Tamara was very receptive to what I needed and responsive to my muscles. She tailored the massage according to what she felt in my body. I fell asleep and woke myself up snoring and drooling! Ha! I will definitely be back. I joined the membership program and I really think it will be beneficial to my family and me. Stress is a killer. Invest in yourselves!

The other reviews must have been at a different location or when it was under different management. They were great while I was setting to my couples massage. They were very up front about the process, they told me straight up that it would only be 50 minutes of actual massage. We had two guys and we were both very happy with their work. Very respectful of what we wanted and listened throughout the whole massage to what we needed. No one tried selling us anything and were all very friendly.

I had a great experience with Ms. Tina. Being my first time there, she explained everything she was doing and going to do. I asked questions for future massages of what is typically done and she went thru step by step of those too. She was awesome! Thank you.

1) I’ve been a customer for YEARS. There’s no rewards, there’s no priority booking.2) I’m getting charged $65 a month but you can’t even get me in month because you can’t keep staff in place. I know Covid took a hit, but really. If you can’t keep enough staff, then you shouldn’t take new clients.3) I have severe sensitivity to light. I was stuck in a room where the light is right in the client’s (me), eyes. I told my therapist this but there’s not really anything she can do.I took an Uber home and he asked if I’d recommended the place. For the first time I said no. Step up your game, ME.

I had been diagnosed with arthritis and haven’t been able to manage the pain. Last nigh when couldn’t sleep went to website and I answered some questions about what I was looking for and when I needed an appointment. I got in today. Being in so much pain I wasn’t sure how she was going to apply pressure without pain. It was amazing. I am not sure how can describe it. It was exactly what I needed. The front staff was also amazing. I personally think they have great prices. The only complaint I have and it is minor is at the Edina location there a lot of steps to go up. Normally that is not an issue but with the arthritis it is. I didn’t think to ask if they had an escalator so maybe that will be an option.

Massage Envy has a business model that is incredibly inconvenient for customers. First, its difficult to schedule without scheduling far in advance. On top of that, cancellations are common. For these reasons, its easy to start building up unused credits. Once you have unused credits, its difficult to deplete them and cancel your account. I bought this membership for my wife, and she is finally cancelling her membership with multiple unused credits.

I have been going to the Edina location since it opened. I stay because the therapists are kind and caring and always respect my wishes. Yes sometimes it is difficult to get in, but I sometimes use the opportunity to try out another location on a one-off basis.With covid, our world is changing and as with every business, things arent quite like they used to be. Massage Envy is no exception and I have faith they will continue to offer the same service quality as always.Many thanks to both Sara and Ravon - they are extremely professional and offer the best massages!

The last few massages have not been in Edina but rather Omaha. They have been awful. However, I asked for deep tissue and Phaedra knocked it out of the park. Best deep tissue therapist ever!

Ravon always takes such wonderful care of me. I would see her every week if possible. My chronic stress and tension from two nursing jobs has me always tight and in pain, and she helps alleviate my pain 🙏🏼 Very thankful for her !

I had my first ever Chemical Peel done yesterday at the Edina location. I had such a fantastic experience with my estetician Shellie. She was extremely thorough and made me feel very at easy and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. She explained the entire process in depth before we started, and continuously asked how I was doing throughout the procedure. We ended up chit chatting the entire time and before I knew it, an hour had passed, and we were done already. After the procedure she walked me out to the lobby and gave me my after care package of products. She informed me of what all the products were and how to use them correctly and checked in with me again to see how I was feeling. I will refer anyone I know that is looking for an estetician to Shellie. I’ve already got my next couple appts booked with her and My plan is to continue seeing her going forward.

Melissa never fails to help me with my chronic pain issues while also relaxing me. The business as a whole is always very kind and helpful. I’m always greeted with a smile. I actually prefer this location over another one nearby.

The massage was good but the lack of communication with the scheduler prior to appointment would have saved me from scheduling the appointment and wasting my time and money!! If you are pregnant and think you may be able to get a massage that could help induce your labor know this is a waste of your time. They will not rube any of the pressure points. Find an acupuncture clinic or acupressure!

Shellie is a great esthetician ! She’s very knowledgeable , explains the process of all the products used and she has a very calm demeanor, making the experience even more relaxing and enjoyable! I highly recommend for facials!
