Shayna was AMAZING! She gave me the best massage Ive ever had, and Ive had plenty, varying from all price ranges. I told her I was a runner and she made certain to focus on the knots in my legs and took extra care to lightly stretch out my tightest flexing points. The massage was firm and consistent and her specific rhythm was expertise. She was a godsend and truly, as an athlete, I feel so much better. Go see Shayna!!

Shayna was awesome. Booked her last minute on spring break vacation. She listened and addressed areas of concern and preference perfectly. If I had more time, Id book another with her before leaving.

One of the best massages Ive ever had. I dont tell the masseuse of any spots that need attention only to see if they can find the spots that do give me problems. Samantha found the spots without me telling her, she was perfect and I highly recommend her!

I cannot speak on some of the negative reviews others have left, but for me, the staff at the Grande Dunes location have been nothing but wonderful. The receptionists are so sweet! I received a facial from Micahyah a few months back and it was a great experience. I just got back from a massage with Ashley and it was one of the best massages I’ve had - I actually felt some of the tension leave my body (and my neck/back are filled with knots!). I will continue coming back to this location because they always make me feel welcome and comfortable.

I got a facial the other day by Celeste K. She was gentle and very experienced therapist. I enjoyed every minute of it and can’t wait to return to have her give my face another relaxing treatment.

Went today for a couples massage. After sitting in waiting room for 15 minutes we were told one therapist never showed up (Terence). We were offered two separate massages at different times but we went there specifically for a couples massage. We asked for an upgrade at another time to a 90 minute from a 60 because they ruined the birthday. Amanda said she could not do it. We asked her to delete our profiles from her computer and she then said she would speak to her supervisor about the upgrade and call us. I will update this review if she calls. - edit - AMANDA NEVER CALLED US BACK. THATS THE MANAGER.

Booked a 30 minute massage and was given a stretch session instead. As someone who hasnt had a massage before I didnt realize that the stretching was not part of it until it was too late. My appointment even in their system said massage so I still have no clue as to what happened.When I spoke to the manager she was less than sympathetic. And only offered to call the other branches to see if they had any available times to get me in and pay for another service. I told her not to bother since I had to spend the money on the stretch session instead.While the session was good, and the therapist was friendly, it simply wasnt what I wanted.Had they offered me SOMETHING to help me feel better (due to the obvious error on their end) about it I could have left mostly pleased. But she seemed content on allowing me to leave unpleased.

I would like to personally thank Miss Celeste, my facial anesthesiologist. Her magnificent hands and beautiful facials could not be better. My face looks wonderful and every month this is my highlight to see her work her magic! Thank you Miss Celeste so very much!!

Everyone save your time and $ the service here is beyond a joke. I don’t know if it’s possible to put in words how awful this massage experience was. I have several spinal injuries and deep tissue massage is one of the few things that give me a good bit of relief. It’s really hard finding a good masseuse in Myrtle Beach for deep tissue massage and the massage I just received at the Grande Dunes Massage Envy was by far the most worthless, massage experience I could even imagine having. I would have been much better off flushing the money down the toilet and rubbing my own neck. Asked for an hour, deep tissue massage. Instead of a massage I had someone laying their hands on me and occasionally pulling my skin. The massage was nonexistent. He pulled my skin and it felt like he was just resting his hands and arms on my back. Absolutely zero kneading of the muscles occurred. Afterwards, when I had to pay, I let the manager know it was 45 minutes not an hour like I asked for and informed me they include in their Massage time is five minutes of consultation and another 10 minutes to get undressed/dressed which is absolutely a joke. I asked for an hour I should have received an hr changing shouldn’t be included as massage time. I’m not the type of person that bothers to leave a review even if I have a negative experience because I understand people aren’t perfect and have bad days. So for me to leave a review, it was beyond bad. Save your $ and time this place is a joke.

Celeste gives the most thorough relaxing facial I have ever had. She is pleasant, friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

I had the best experience with Jennifer. She was awesome. She took time to actually explain why my neck hurts and recommended getting a wedge pillow to help with my bad sleeping habits. I would definitely recommend her.

Some of the therapists are great BUT the management and front desk staff are pure idiots. They can’t keep their calendar straight. They cancel appointments without giving notice. Even if you find someone you like, there’s no guarantee you can get the appointment you book because they randomly cancel with no notice. Sadly there’s not enough alternatives in the area to go elsewhere or I totally would. I’ve been screwed over multiple times and planned my schedule around an appointment that gets cancelled with no advance notice. Just a horrible management team. The therapists areGreat if you can get to them. Good luck

Ive been a member at Massage Envy for quite a while. At my original location I have never had any issues. THIS city/place has had many issues. You can never get an appt when you want it, you keep accruing sessions that you pay for and can never use.Recently I kept hearing the same thing - they do not value their massage staff and there are issues so the staff has been quitting. Indeed, the few therapists that I enjoyed are no longer there and after speaking to them realize that it was not a healthy environment for the staff.Ive since moved on to another spa that DOES value their employees and guests. I will be ending my membership and recommending that NO ONE ever goes to this location again. I will give personal references for the place I have found that is calm, welcoming and works with their guest to have the time to work on them.

Please read the reviews before signing up for a year long membership here. I haven’t been able to get a massage in two months and was just told that my therapist is no longer with them, so my next two massages need to be rescheduled and was told they are booked for the next two months. It’s very irritating that I have a reoccurring payment monthly that I’m not even able to utilize. I have found great local spots to get my massages done and would recommend those over this place any day. Awaken your senses being one of them. I can’t wait for the day that my contract ends.The one massage I did have here was VERY rough. I requested they use either lotion or oil but was told it was up to the therapists preference, so gel was used. She was pulling on my skin the entire time and I could barely wait for it to be over.Not to mention it feels very transactional and not at all personal and intimate.

The Squirrel Hill location is my favorite! Joy takes amazing care of me every time. I walk out the door after each visit feeling rejuvanated!

Ive been trying to schedule a massage using a gift card I received from my son for my birthday. They are telling me I need to put a credit card on file but I do not have a credit card! Does that mean I can not use my gift card? If not then my son needs to be reimbursed for that gift card. I have had other massage in different salons over the years and have never been asked for a credit card. I use cash!!

I dont know about other Massage Envy locations but I had a disappointing experience at the Grand Dunes Myrtle Beach location which left me regretting ever having signed up with this company. Its safe to say that I will never use them or recommend their services to anyone. Most of the front desk staff with the exception of maybe one or two individuals were incompetent and had major attitude. I truly believe they are not trained properly and they just dont care. I also noticed a high turnover rate with the front desk/massage/aesthetic staff. A lot of staff came and went while I was a member there and I couldnt keep up with names. Also, they sure do care about you as a customer as long as you dont decide to cancel. Once that happens all bets are off. I would also like to point out that the manager wasn’t very professional and I don’t think that customer service is her strong point. Basically I was cheated out of two prepaid sessions that they would not honor because I had canceled my membership and when I went to redeem them before my membership expired they claimed that I let too much time go by when in reality I had not. Beware before going to this location and make sure you read the fine print before you sign any contracts because understanding a ME contract can be somewhat confusing and you can’t always rely on their staff to inform you accurately about their policies. Last but not least always write down who youve spoken to (dates, time of day, etc.) just incase a problem arises with your membership.

Very lovely experience from start to finish. Javon at the front desk was a breath of fresh air and very professional. He explained in great detail the membership program, and made me feel very welcome being in a new setting.My massage with Jody was the best massage I’ve had in my life, and he was very professional and accommodating as well. What a great place! My mom, my daughter and I all had massages while on vacation. All 3 of us were more than happy with the service and excellent massage therapists! They did a wonderful job! It was my daughters first massage and she absolutely loved it!!! Thank you so much to Jason (Jesus 😂), Samantha and Shereen (this may not be the correct spelling)!!! You all are excellent at what you do!!! Hope to see y’all next year!!!

I have had a membership here for over a year. $70 a month. And I have only been able to get 2 appt. I did have to cancel one because I had surgery but other then that it is booked months out. I have had 2 appt canceled by them that I had book for over a month because the massage therapist became unavailable just to be told it would be another month and a half before I could get another appt. So basically I pay a monthly fee that I cant even use monthly. I have called multiple time to speak to someone about canceling or putting my membership on hold and do not get an answer. I have left multiple messages with no return phone call. The two appts I did have where great. But getting a appt that is kept has proven to be pretty hard.

I had a wonderful facial from Stephanie she was professional, informative and kind. However the front desk staff was less than pleasant. I experienced this on my previous visit two weeks ago and chalked it up to a bad day. Today was even worse and the manager was combative and argumentative. Asia clearly did not have the professional maturity to manage a Massage Envy location. I was planning on purchasing a Jan Marino kit and will now purchase it elsewhere. Two unpleasant interactions with the front desk staff are enough to cause me not to return to this location.

I made the mistake of signing up for a membership. It is almost impossible to get an appointment within my schedule. I now have almost 15 massages owed to me and they continue to bill me even though they are shut down. If you cancel , you lose the massages you paid for monthly. Membership is a good way to pay over $1,000 for a massage. The company disclaims that memberships are ONLY with the independent location and NOT Massage Envy. Therefore they offer no assistance. If you use their services, I recommend not joining a membership. Would not recommend anyone to Massage Envy.

For 1 it would be nice to have someone answer the phone!!! I called several times all through the day to see about openings. Finally got someone on the phone and she had the nastiest attitude. I asked about any openings and she cut me off before I could even finish my sentence to tell me no in the rudest way possible. Will never come here again! Hire a new receptionist!

I have been a member of Massage Envy for 9 years and get regular massages, due to chronic pain with auto immune issues. So this review comes with many years of Great experiences- HOWEVER, this past Friday, Oct 8, 2021, I resumed massages due to being high risk. I had the WORST experience ever, and am embarrassed for the therapist who proceeded to berate me , tell me my issues were in my own head and that I cause them myself, she debated me on my own physical issues. I tried to explain further and she was mean, ugly to me and then said “this is over” and walked out! I was AGHAST! This was crazy, unacceptable and I was outraged. Her name is VALERIE! DO NOT USE HER! She is an unhappy person, evidently, and does not take the care someone needs when booking this type of service. I complained immediately to front desk and fortunately the district manager was there to try to make things right.

While the facial was very good the management left much to be desired. I found Patty to be insincere and spent most of her time on the internet rather than attempting to discover my needs or wants. Regardless the fact that I was the only customer at that time. I would highly recommend one of the local owned businesses like Renew Spa over this chain that felt very money oriented

I was pleased with this Massage Envy location.I received an hour-long deep-tissue massage, and the experience was, overall, positive. The booking process was easy, the staff I interacted with were friendly and attentive, and the facility was clean and stylish. Likewise, the massage itself was effective, considerate, and professional; I left feeling quite improved.The only thing that kept me from giving five stars was that my hour massage was not quite an hour. We got started ten minutes after my appointment time, but instead of going for a full hour, my massage lasted only fifty minutes. As in, the session was treated as if it started precisely at the appointed time, at 2:00 in my case, such that it ended at exactly 3:00 -- which isnt realistic, since there will always be prep time necessary, if only to consult with the therapist and then undress and such before the massage. By all rights, I shouldve either gotten my extra ten minutes (a considerable length of time, massage-wise), or been charged slightly less. In any case, I didnt make a fuss, both because I didnt need the stress of a potential confrontation (the whole point of the massage was to de-stress) and because the massage was still very satisfying, albeit just shortened. Though, I feel I should make mention of this here, if only to make others aware of this somewhat unfair policy.My thanks goes out to all associated with Massage Envy. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service.

Had a couples massage and it was great. We had Justin and Veda whom were both very professional and detailed in our services. Aja was front desk staff and she was also very professional and helpful. After running late due to traffic and weather Aja was able to get us rescheduled and in for the same night. Also the cranberry apple tea offered before the massage is delicious! I will definitely return to this location when visiting Myrtle Beach again!

Visiting the area and first time here. Great welcoming to start our day off right today. Front desk staff and all. However the best goes to Jason and the massage I received. Amazing! I’m from Maryland and was recently on vacation in Myrtle Beach. I took time from my beach week to get a massage at the Grande Dunes location. I scheduled a 90 minute massage with Crystal about a month earlier, and I do not regret it! Crystal listened carefully to my every request, and the pressure she provided was just right for me. I felt like I could just relax and let any stress or anxiety evaporate from my body. For those of you who are vacationing in Myrtle Beach and looking for a great place to get a massage, I highly recommend Crystal at the Grande Dunes location. Seriously! You will not be disappointed!

I shouldnt even say this because it will be difficult to book an appointment with her after word gets out that Sarah Patterson is the best massage therapist in town. Particularly if you like deep tissue massage. They run a clean, professional business and follow all safety protocols. Me and my back cant wait to go back!

Ive been coming here for over a year now on a regular basis and I cannot begin to describe how much I enjoy the sessions. Over the many years of trying to find a massage therapist to help with my shoulder and neck problems, I FINALLY found him! From the first session Justin was able to get underneath my shoulder blades and work out the kinks. I typically get a 1.5 hour deep tissue session and he is able to sustain the proper pressure the entire time. Hes always professional and I never feel uncomfortable. He is also very accommodating when it comes to any alterations to the session if I am sore or have bruises. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I visited massage envy last week and it was ok but I dont think I am coming back. I came specifically for treating my lower back and I thought I was clear when I filled out the paper that They gave me and when I talked to the lady before the massage. The lady was nice and polite but she didnt do what I expected her to do. When leaving I talked to the front desk and said that i wasnt satisfied and they told me sorry the manager will contact you to take care of the situation. Its been a week no one contacted me or ever called me

I was a member for about10 years. It was good because you didnt have to commit to a yearly membership. So, I rejoined after a break and they failed to inform me that its now a yearly membership. I know its my responsibly to read the contract but #1 I wasnt given a chance and # 2 they really should have pointed out the change . So then the therapist that I use quits and I want to continue to go to him. They tell me I cant resign unless I have a doctors note . So needless to say Im not happy

Great place. Super friendly staff. Just make sure you get the right therapist. A few are very mediocre. Justin and Denise are amazing. The one time i did have the not so great massage. The manager was amazing dealing with the situation. Great customer service.

I went there because I was having hip pain. I told them this over the phone and also when I filled out the paperwork. They stated that the paperwork was so that the massage is personalized to my needs. My masseuse spent 90 minutes working everything EXCEPT my problem areas. So much for the personalized massage. It was a waste of my time. Will not go back.

Love going to this place, easy and convinient. At one point I almost gave up on membership because I didn’t enjoy some of the massage therapist as much as other but once I found one that I liked it has been been smooth sailing since. Booking the appointment online is great and convinient. I never have to wait for more than 5 minute and Xin Xin is the best handsDown. Do yourself a favor an book an appointment with her if thinking of getting a massage, I promise you won’t be disappointed. She’s very good and makes me feel welcome each time I go.

The massage therapist, Christopher is most likely a very nice person... however he failed to give me a nice relaxing massage as I asked. Also failed touching areas I asked not to be touched. (Not sexual, I just dont like my face or any part of the front of my body massaged.) He spent most of the hour trying to talk me into a membership, and he was rough when I requested medium pressure. Sadly I will not return.

I was referred by a friend to Massage Envy. I have had a lot of massages in my lifetime in New York, New Jersey, South Carolina and the Caribbean. I went there for a deep tissue massage for specific pain and issues. I didn’t have high expectations before I went because of negative reviews online. I filled out the necessary paperwork and went over all my areas that I wanted worked on and didn’t need worked on. Chrstine was my therapist and she also went over my paperwork and asked me questions and I thought we were on the same page. I asked for a 1 hour massage along with a reflexology. The massage I received wasn’t a massage at all it was more of a rub down of my entire body. I stated before my massage that I needed my hips and lower back worked on and she didn’t even touch them. I was soo disappointed and literally wasted an hour of my life. After the rub down I went to the front desk and was asked about my massage. I told the woman at the front desk that it was the worst massage I ever had. I was asked if I would be willing to come back and use another therapist. I declined. The manager got involved and told me that they would comp my massage. I was happy about the resolution. I have had better massages on my feet while getting a pedicure!

I made an appt for a couples massage, but my husband was not going to be able to make it so I called and asked if dropping him was a problem. They said it wasnt and I was set. They called me back to change my time to noon from 1145 and told me my therapist would be chin chin, that was fine with me too. I got there 15 min early as requested and as soon as I said my name and she looked at the computer wirh eyebrows scrunched I knew something was up...the girl obviously thought I was mistaken instead of acknowledging their mistake and offered me a facial, because yeah, thats the same as a massage. I declined, walked out and will never be back.

I can’t say enough about how great this staff has been helping us book enough sessions to get caught up in our accrued membership services. Patty especially has been awesome. Thanks to everyone over at the Grand Dunes location.

First of all....Jody did a great massage - he gets 5 stars. Went to ME because of a gift certificate. Phone and Front Desk staff were pushy with upselling additional services/membership. Clean but very busy spa.

Got a couples massage with the intro rate, which was $55. that was a great deal, but after your initial visit you pay $95 for a 60-minute massage. however, you can sign up for the membership which is under contract with 3 months, 6 months, or a year option and is $65 a month which includes one 60-minute massage and discounted rates for additional services

I wanted to jump up and bolt from the table! The therapist was so rough and I’ve never had such an awful massage experience in my life!It wasn’t at all soothing and relaxing. You know it’s bad when you’re looking forward to the end.Never again!!

Do not fall for this business!! Worst customer service ever. The establishment was dirty and sheets were used. And dont go thinking you will have a relaxing time. Every person working there will make sure you do not have the enjoyment your looking for. They dont listen to what is wrong and dont even spend the amount of time you paid for giving you a massage. And apparently because they work there they literally snub everyone that walks in the door. Wont be going back to MASSAGE ENVY.
