This is without a doubt, the best rooftop view on the Broadway strip. Right across the street from the hard rock Café at the bottom of the hill.They will probably card you getting into the building no matter how old you are.Not the friendliest bartender.Didn’t have any food.

Nice atmosphere & staff. Clean restrooms. Drinks could be better. The only thing I didn’t like was being asked for my ID by security after having already been there a good while. We were visiting town and came back because of the exceptional service we received the day before.

Food is very tasty. It is amazing to see the staff working together as a team to maintain the restaurant portion. All staff members were very helpful.

Much more spacious than the other bars and the two female led bands were AMAZING! Came down two nights. One of my fave bars 🍸

This is a must visit place if youre visiting Broadway st.The whisky River Saloon is very big in size and has numerous bar set ups inside to help serve everyone. The bartenders are nice and kept a very clean bar. There was also a special whisky and bourbon selection which looked to have a vast variety of liquors.There was live entertainment which was exceptional each of the 3 nights we visited.There was even a mechanical bull that people could try there luck.I did not try the food as it was late each visit, but if it was like the rest of the visit Im sure it would have been phenomenal .They have a nice security staff that seemed to work hard at making sure there were never any issues.This has to be on your list when visiting Nashville!

We found ourselves on the rooftop bar trying to escape the chaos of Broadway. We had great service, a nice atmosphere, great views, and the best Mai Tai I have ever had.

Super cute spot! Plenty of photo ops and if you’re feeling up to it they even have a mechanical bull! We only got a few drinks while we waited to meet up with someone but they were good! We sat at the bourbon bar where they had a ton of bourbon to choose from! A must visit if in the Nashville area. The bartender was great!

My 3rd visit to Whiskey River and havent been disappointed. Quick seating, bartenders are attentive, and music is always fun!

The menu is not extensive HOWEVER its very creative and good. There tons of TVs, I didnt understand why they limited service to the top floor during CMAS instead of having a limited menu available downstairs as well. Plenty of security extremely friendly and beautiful bartenders. I thought the patio/rooftop was gorgeous and I didnt expect the view to be as awesome as it is. I see the vibe they want but should think outside the box-you have too much competition. Fries were great but different some how. I dont know why that water was so good n cold lol. Our server was super attentive and fast. I would add a BBQ turkey sandwich or Turkey tacos as well as our shrimp or fish. I loved my grilled cheese but the price point should offer that type of option. Oh btw who ever used the MOLASSES knows EXACTLY what they are doing-YOU ARE A GIFT.

Great music(like most everywhere in Nashville), great atmosphere, hot vibe with a wonderful rooftop bar. Food was just ok, we were four and ordered drinks, Jalapeño Margarita and a frozen vodka concoction. One of us ordered a salad, I ordered the hot chicken sandwich, by friend ordered the burger and my wife the chicken over fries…everything was mediocre, but then again, you don’t come here for the food

Beautiful bar, great selection, terrific bartenders.

They have a Toro! Staff was friendly music was awesome, vocals could always be turned up a bit. Guitar player using a thumb pick thank god, bass player made a few mistakes (it’s ok we all make them that’s why I am here, I’ve made plenty). I think I like alcohol now. I didn’t try the food this time but I really hope there are no Vegan options here! Will definitely come back!!

Triple grilled cheese sandwich was tasteless and the toast was grilled too hard. I took one bite and could not eat any more. They would not take off my bill. I will never return. I left and had to purchase more food elsewhere. Poor customer service.

Really cool place to end our day of walking around downtown and Broadway. Wanted to check out the rooftop since we’ve never done that before, especially here in TN. We liked the live music upon walking in and enjoyed the view from the rooftop. We sat more towards the inside since outside had no seating. We ordered a couple drinks, an appetizer and a dessert. Everything was super good. Since it’s so close to home, I will try to come again and order different things.

They have a mechanical bull at this place and it is seriously so fun! It’s $10 a ride but so worth it! Great bands the night I was there which made for a great fun atmosphere! Didn’t try to food but the drinks were good!

Great spot. Lineup went quickly to get inside. Once inside, it was a large space that didnt feel crowded. Large bar counters for easy access. The mechanical bull had a good crowd and provided some fun entertainment.

Whiskey River is by far my favorite experience on Broadway. The staff makes a traveler feel at home here. The music doesnt hurt and the mechanical bull is excellent entertainment!

Everything was well seasoned and tasty. Fyi, the Mac and cheese is spicy for kids. It has jalapeños in it! It would be a nice warning. Nice place, low key. Our family enjoyed our food and service!

Excellent place, didnt feel as cramped as most other places. High quality bands. I went there on a Sunday and then Monday. The band and service was much better on Sunday than Monday. Its a gtreen tho! I only drank whiskey, never had any food!

Food was ok, it was cold when I got it. I ordered the Whiskey grilled cheese, the sauce was great. We went on a Thursday around 7 and got a table within a few minutes. Service was very slow and the women’s restroom was nasty.

We had so much fun jammin with Brooke, Ricky, and the band last night! They had great energy on stage. Also, i didn’t catch her name, but the bartender working was so nice and inviting! Didn’t eat this time , but I will be back!

Visiting the Whiskey River Saloon was an unforgettable experience! Situated on Broadway, it offers a refreshing change from the usual country tunes that dominate the area. It was a nice break to hear something different for a bit.Our night was made even better by the exceptional service we received from Bailey, our bartender. Not only was Bailey an absolute smoke show, but she also proved to be an incredibly skilled and attentive bartender. Her friendly demeanor and quick service made our experience even more enjoyable. We couldnt have asked for better service.With its vibrant atmosphere, fantastic music, and top-notch service, Whiskey River Saloon is a spot we will definitely be returning to. Great band! If you get a chance to see Trent Ingram during your time in Nashville, it will be one of the highlights of your trip. Not only is he an excellent singer, he is entertaining and his band is amazing.

This bar has i think the best location on Broadway. I didnt care much for the lack of bartender....she was not very attentive yesterday. I sat there for almost an hour and only received 2 Coronas....during that time id say 2 times there was not a bar tender present for over 10 minutes....Music was outstanding, thats literally the only thing kept me there that long.

Not a cheap place to drink, but there isnt a single place on Broadway that is. Started as a pregame stop, went to the game, came back and kicked off a thunder run up Broadway to legends.It was Christmas Eve and the staff was awesome. Michelle the absolute AMAZING bar tender was there open to close to let others have off for the holidays. She made amazing cocktails, extremely witty, but also fabulously efficient in managing the the entire bar. Shes an asset for sure.The bama team will definitely be back again.

Arrived immediately after leaving the Hard Rock Cafe across the street because of their poor service.Once arriving, plenty on seating on the rooftop was available to be seated. Was served immediately with waters and orders taken. On top of that you get a great view of broadway. Will be back!

This was my favorite bar on Broadway during my visit to Nashville with my wife. Bartender was amazing, band was amazing, the whole vibe was great. Spent the most time here. I wish I would have gotten the bartenders name and remembered the name of the band to give them further props lol.We eventually even head up to the rooftop restaurant to eat and take in the views! Cant wait to visit again some day!

Terrible experience. Had a few beers and asked the waitress to turn on the TItans game. She proceeded to tell me it couldn’t be, and it’s the tv that faces Nissan stadium . Was very rude . So watched the game on the TVs at the other rooftop bar from whiskey river. Never coming back

Bartender just served us sweet tea that was moldy and refused to swap it for a different drink. She refused to taste it to understand that it was bad and sickening. Poor customer service and not worth spending money here!

Do yourself a favor and visit if you’re on Broadway. It has been redone and is beautiful inside. Drinks are good and music was great too.

You can enjoy live music or move back towards the bourbon bar where the music is still heard but not so loud where you cant have a conversation. Great selection of bourbon. Gotta love the mechanical bull!

Was there 5/10/24, music was great, service excellent, but after spending a couple hundred in bar area, finally needed to use the restroom, where a staff member was located handing out paper towels, really! Hand dryer it is, dont understand this

Whiskey River Saloon is a great spot for a night out, offering a lively and engaging atmosphere. The quality of sound is excellent, with a well-positioned stage that ensures you can see and hear the performances clearly from all angles.The only slight drawback is that the prices are on the higher side, but the overall experience justifies the cost. The rooftop area is decent, providing a nice change of scenery, although it might not be the best in town. The DJ at the rooftop does a good job of keeping the energy up, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

Service zero. Waitress was nice. We ordered expensive whiskey and after 19 mins we were asked to leave because they were closing early. We did not enjoy our $72 shot! My plan was to sip it:) bill was $136. Tip $40.

Server straight up ask my friend for a tip because his service was so bad we choose not to leave one. Also food sucked and was not worth the money.

This bar is a great way to do alittle bit of everything Nashville in one place. Live bands, bull riding, rooftop views, a great vibe and beautiful decor. It’s a touristspot with the tourist price tag. We were a little surprised that it was 24 dollars for 2 shots of fireball. The 5 dollar Jell-O shots made up for it. If you’re into high end whiskey/bourbon they have a special bar in the back with some quality whiskey’s.

Walked the whole strip and feel this is the place to really injoy the Nashville seen. Food was great the drinks are strong. And the staff could not have been more friendly.

The wings were great. The burger and salad was good. The service was fast and friendly. We were on the rooftop with good sun and a great view of the street. The band in the bar was really good. The only downside was no live music upstairs.

Large bar area with plenty of seats and tables. Friendly wait staff, good selection of beers. Visited midday mid-week and crowd was light but the music very good. Pickys Recommendation: if youre exploring the bars of the HT Highway, put this one on your list. Close to pedestrian bridge and Acme Feed makes it a good watering stop.

I didnt have any food, so I cant comment on that. The place was hopping with a DJ playing music. Fun atmosphere but tables were slow to be cleaned, every table was sticky. Outside rooftop area overlooks downtown, nice views.

Went here before the Music City Bowl (went to that too) and had some cold beers and ripping music at 9:30 in the morning.Here’s the breakdown:Two Great beertenders +1 star; cold beers +1 star; ripping music +1 star; being open at 9:30 am +2 stars.I’ve been before and I’ll go back.

I didnt actually get food here but!! The bull operator is a total sweetheart. The drinks are good, more reasonably priced than other locations. Loved loved loved the live music and being able to watch the mma fight. Security doesnt hassle you. Enough space to move around and find seats or dance. Would definitely come back when in Nashville again.

We had got a regular sweet tea and it tasted like straight mold or just dirty it was gross and when we went to exchange it she was rude about it and said they dont do exchange, and that we had to pay for another drink to get a different one.I will not come back to this place and definitely would not recommend it to anyone especially since the servers here are rude.

Expensive shots of corazon @ $14 per and both my wife and I thought they watered the bottle down. Probably the most egregious quality I have ever had at a bar.

Great stage downstairs with a good amount of room for beer pong, tables, and dancing. Theres no food downstairs so you have to go to the rooftop without live music if you want food. They do have an upscale Whiskey Bar in the back with a great selection of high-end whiskeys.The service upstairs was not good. The guy running food had no idea where the food should go and was handing it to random bartenders so that they can aimlessly walk around trying to figure out who ordered it. We watched this happen for several hours. We were trying to get one of the TVs changed to a playoff basketball game which took 20 minutes until they radioed a manager who knew how to change the channel. The upstairs bathroom is way too and doesn’t appear to have been cleaned since the prohibition era. The ground is caked in urine.I’d suggest going to the downstairs bar if you don’t want food.

The relaxed vibe of the rooftop was further complemented by a simple drink menu, though I found the options to be somewhat limited.However, my experience was slightly dampened by an awkward exchange with the server when I asked for a skinny Margarita. Nonetheless, the overall ambiance of the place was lively and enjoyable. There is some room to add creativity to their drink menu.If youre looking for a spot with great views of Nashville and a casual atmosphere, this rooftop bar is worth considering. Just keep in mind that the drink options may be limited, and the service may not be consistent.

The rooftop bar here is really nice. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon during vacation and it was the chilliest place we visited on Broadway all week. The downstairs had live music and TONS of space. I tried the hot chicken sandwich and loved it. I recommend giving it a shot.

Its another one of my favorite bars. The band played everything from old school country to black sabbath. Loved the mix. Its a very fun bar. Bartenders are very fast and know what they are doing. There is a separate Bourbon Bar. TVS for the sports fans. A little bit for everyone.

My fam and I came from out of town to visit as we were driving to Pigeon Forge. There is live music and it was great! Very clean and aesthetically pleasing bar! This was the only one I went to and we went right when it opened. I love our bartender and wish I remembered his name but he was super nice. Drinks were delicious. I could have had 10 of the cocktail with moonshine + sweet tea + peach purée - if I could have. Would definitely come again when I come back to visit!

Bartender got super mad and said her tip wasn’t high enough. Complacent staff and overall just mean people.

Zach from security as well as Grant from the security team were so nice and helpful. I think personally as a customer, finding someone that’s willing to be patient with you whilst navigating your way through broadway makes for a great experience. Without their helpful hand, I don’t think we would’ve found our way to Whiskey Row.

We went there last night for dinner, because the restaurant where we wanted to go had 55 min wait and this was one of the closest places that didn’t have music blasting super loud. We went to the rooftop to eat and ordered chicken wings with Nashville sauce and Widow maker burger. My husband loves spicy food, but said that the wings were actually really hot even for him, so definitely not for people with a lower tolerance to heat. My burger came out looking great and a really good portion, but wasn’t anything special flavor wise and the fries where quite soft. Overall we were satisfied with the food and after dinner, we stayed for a few songs downstairs as they had live music concert

So we were here on a Sunday evening during a not so busy time- early March.Got a drink downstairs while checking out the band playing - then headed upstairs for food.The view from the rooftop is 2nd to none- but we could not get service AT ALL!The server taking care of the tables looked at us multiple times but never gaveusathought; the bartender did not appear to be overwhelmed ( with the lack of cheeks in seats) at the bar and also glanced over- stillnothing!We sat ( unacknowledged) for 30 minutes before walking out; hungry and thirsty!Its a shame because the menu looked intriguing and we will never know......

Natalie was absolutely awesome! We loved her so much we came just for her! Place is awesome all around! But she definitely made our time even better!

We originally walked into the Hard Rock Cafe but couldnt get service so we left and came here. It was a good decision because immediately after we sat down a guy came around and wiped off our table. The food was good and we all had a drink. Definitely recommend!

I had a great experience at the saloon. The music was excellent, and the live bad really did a great job. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. The place was beautifully designed, and they must take the upkeep seriously. There are plenty of parking options really close by as well.

Stopped in at 11 am to catch some college football. Plenty of TVs to watch the game. Big plus! Friendly and good looking bartenders. Great whiskey bar and a good band.

Great drinks, live music, and so much to explore. This bar was incredible. We enjoyed the ground floor and the rooftop, and received excellent customer service and drinks at every bar we visited here. Highly recommend this spot.

It was a slow night. Service could have been better. Bartenders were looking for things to do and missed a lot of opportunities with customers. Music was good. Just hard to be active when slow and no crowd. Took way to long between songs and when switched bands. Will give it another shot in March/April when it gets busier.

We love this place. The atmosphere is great! The food and service was great! The coolest people work here. Maddy is the sweetest, cutest, most friendliest person we met. She made our night perfect. We will definitely be back and I hope Maddy is still working there. She is the BEST!!!!!!!❤️

First visitLive band, they played a great variety of music and did it well. Enjoyed a few drinks at this location while enjoying the entertainment.Second visitEnjoyed the live band. Then to the rooftop to enjoy a whiskey river grilled cheese sandwich, was delicious. (Add bacon) the onion rings are also great.

Hayley is the BEST!!! She provides great service and is so southern!! We love a great southern peach!

I highly recommend Whiskey River! The drinks are well made, the service is great, and the atmosphere (especially on the patio) is a lot more relaxed compared to other bars on Broadway.

A fun spot on Broadway in Nashville. There was a live band. They were good. The adult beverages were good. My beer was very cold. We went to the rooftop bar also and the views were great. There was a DJ up there last night and was also fun. I would recommend this place when you are on Broadway!

15$ drinking a plastic cup just doesnt do it for me

Me and my boyfriend on first time In Nashville choose this bar and I can tell you it’s the worst service ever. We ordered drinks and was no alcohol. They charge a lot for drink without alcohol it’s embarrassing. We spoke to manager and he doesn’t do nothing. We travel a lot and I never see like that. No respect to guests. Don’t recommend!!!

1 star for: My friends asked for 2 double Titos & Red Bull...3 people tasted it, there wasnt a vodka taste to either of them & charged $52!!! When brought up to the bar tender she said they could charge for another shot!!! Not worth it & not buying another drink.But the band was good & so was Quan w/the bull riding!!! They get 5stars!!

This is such a fun place! We saw the best bands here and the had the best bartender, her name was Anna and she was just so sweet and fast! There was a big crowd but she didn’t seem stressed out or forget about any of her customers! Had the best experience here thank you!!

You can do better on Broadway. Service was sketchy for a soda and burger and I had mild food poisoning the next day. Staff seemed annoyed to be there. Great location though.

Great Atmosphere, loved it there

We stopped in for an afternoon Sunday lunch. We let the bartender know we were sitting down because we didn’t see a host and we’re trying to be polite. The rooftop balcony had 2-3 tables eating, a few tables that had eaten and were just hanging out. It was not busy. We politely asked the waiter for menus after waiting 10 minutes because they forgot us and he disappeared for 5-10 minutes. We had to ask a second time and asked for water. He never came back. He then proceeded to wait on 4 new tables that had wandered in 20 minutes after we got there and after about 30 min without water, being allowed to order and 5 minutes with our menus we decided to leave politely. It’s very clear some of the staff are not there to do their job and with 2 staff in the floor and no service it’s mind boggling. I’ve been the tired restaurant worker on a Sunday shift, but really management and wait staff should try to at least make an effort to try. Will not send anyone here.

Great bar, cocktail, music and sound system

Cool place with good live music and friendly staff. Drinks are a bit pricy but seems to be the norm on Broadway.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. This place is the biggest SCAM. We went to the third level for the great view. We waited at the bar for about 10 minutes without getting served. It wasnt busy maybe 20 people in total. Finally Benjamin served us. I got a double rail vodka soda. It literally came in a 10 oz glass completely filled with ice very little drink. It was $26. I thought it was a joke. There was barely any alcohol in the drink. The biggest waste of money ever. We will never be back!

Went here twice. Once to the rooftop because we love rooftops. Then went our last day in the afternoon. Great music and great drinks. Everytime we walked by music sounded great.

We stopped here on our last night of our girls trip and definitely will be coming back! Loved the live music and the crowd. We had a small group so we were able to find a nice spot at the bar and did not have to wait to get our drinks. Our bartender was funny and easy on the eyes (😉 Joseph) can’t wait to come back again and try their cocktails 🍹

We only came in for drinks but on multiple occasions. Drawn in by the incredible musicians they have playing here, more so than many of the other bars. Big bonus compared to most other bars is that their drinks are actually good. They have a decent liquor selection, make a great old fashioned (maybe a little too sweet), and have good service. Plus it’s beautiful inside with their hanging lights. Washrooms are large and were very clean when we went. Cocktails I think were $15 each.

Take forever for food to come out and it was cold.

Do not go here unless you are a professional line dancer. The line dancers pretend they’re in a cult and are good when they’re rude. Ruined the whole atmosphere. Wish my experience was different.

Great place to listen to some live music, dance, drink amazing drinks, and ride a mechanical bull! Incredible!!!

I had high expectations for Whiskey River and was sorely disappointed. We got there around lunch so we headed upstairs to the restaurant and rooftop bar. Its a seat yourself kind of place so we did and waited about 15 minutes with a couple of wait staff wandering around but ignoring us. I finally asked for menus. Another 5 minutes and we were met by Brad, our waiter. We ordered and he was wonderful! I observed 2 other waiters just slowly wandering and Brad was literally hopping all over the place. I also watched what I assumed was management just stand there.The food came out quick. I ordered a cheeseburger which was nothing special. The hubs ordered the Whiskey River burger and it was pretty good. Brad didnt come back but I watched him bounce around all over the place. Seemed like he was the only one working up there besides the bartenders. We went and found someone to see if we could close out. Brad came back and I told him that it seemed like he was only one in the mood to work. I was impressed with his work ethic but the entire experience left a lot to be desired.

The bartender Morgan is awesome! I wish we were staying an extra day just to go back and see her again! Next time we’re in town we’ll be back here for sure- yummy food and cool rooftop to hangout at. Morgan gave us great recommendations to go out and visit for the rest of our day and was so kind! Thanks so much!!- Sarah and Tyler

Good band playing last night. Tremendous selection of bourbon & whiskey, but very pricey. Very nice rooftop bar with great views of the city & Broadway

This was one of the best Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches evahhh and I didn’t have to wait in the huge line at Hattie B’s, thanks to Security Taylor’s awesome recommendation to get this great sandwich right here at Whiskey River Saloon!

By far one of the best bars I was in last night after checking every other one out had to come back and finish the night here thanks for the best atmosphere and best drinks on broadway

Great spot on broadway.

The perfect rooftop bar for lunch. The food is delicious and the service is great. Don’t miss out. This place isn’t a well-known stop but the food is good and bathrooms are probably the cleanest in town. At least the ladies. 😉 But hubby said the men’s room is clean too. We walked to the 4th floor rooftop but there is an elevator.

Wow! Really Whiskey River? What a bunch of A-hole$! Guess no one is gonna recommend this place to people from now on!

First night in Nashville. all is perfect except this bar. the worst drinks ever . just basically soda and no alcohol. the bartender was big disappointment so we called manager not understanding at all.. defending restaurant… firs bad experience ever. i never complained. we travel all over world and did not see something like that.Not coming to this place again. for all costumers check your drinks before you pay!!GJ

The 2nd floor was comfortable and fun, the service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately you cant order food on this floor so we were told to go to the 3rd. We waited forever for service on the roof top (3rd floor). We actually ended up leaving as we couldnt get the attention of any waiter to even give us menus, let alone take our order. Would not recommend.

Fun place great music and staff

Food was decent for bar food. Our server Jordan was amazing! Gave us great recommendations for our trip and shared some history from excursions she leads. She was super on top of it without being overbearing. Also she actually grabbed our plates from us when we were done instead of just leaving them to sit and ruin the atmosphere which is rare nowadays. saw her constantly cleaning up random things around her. bar downstairs was also super awesome and friendly and the band was great. bonus for the mechanical bull. will be back!!

We were on the rooftop bar on a Saturday afternoon. Bartender was Lexi, super nice, talkative and fun. Made the experience much better for us. From out of town so nice to have a conversation with bartender. Drinks were reasonably priced and view was pretty cool!

One of my favorite places to visit in Nashville. Live music is awesome as always. Bartenders are so attentive I swear they are amazing and smiling all of the time. Each time I visit Nashville this bar exceeds my expectations. Great job to everyone working at Whiskey River Saloon honestly keep it up you all make my travels to Nashville such a better experience.

What an outstanding establishment. The staff are some the best Ive had the pleasure to meet. The entertainment they bring each day is great. Foods is good on the rooftop and the drinks are good too.

Went there on our first day in Nashville and went back several times after during our trip. The staff was always friendly and we had quick service. Just ate appetizers and they were good. Prices were comparable to other bars on Broadway. Great music as well!

Went to Whiskey River Saloon for drinks with friends and found a great atmosphere, bartenders, entertainment and overall good time. Cocktail drinks were perfect and beer plenty cold. Great way to end our first day in Nashville.

Beautiful bar, terrible food. Great place to hang, but move along if youre hungry. My salad was swimming in BBQ sauce and dressing to the point that my friends had to ask what I ordered. I didnt eat it. Not one of the 8 of us enjoyed their food. Server wasnt interested if anyone was satisfied.
