Prohibition

While visiting New Orleans, we were walking down Bourbon St and heard the band plaing. They sounded good!! We walked in and stayed for the remainder of the night! They did a mixture of all genres of music. She had an awesome voice! He is an awesome keyboard player! He played the hell out of the guitar! And of course, the drummer did an awesome job as well!

This place turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Location mid way down the famous Bourbon street, this place has a great atmosphere.During the late afternoon hours they play a variety of music by live bands. During the evening hours they tend to play more of R&B jazz genre of music.If you visit you’ll get the best of both worlds. Honestly Great music, great tasting drinks, and price prices.They appear to have a rotation of live bands and DJ. If you visit multiple days you’ll experience a variety of genres.The drinks are reasonably priced. They are famous for their extra large drinks.The space is on the smaller side but feels spacious and airy.

Big AZZ beers cost 13.00 very good price compared the other places in the area. Great live band. No food in location. I forgot to take a picture when I was there but here is a picture of the cup...lol

Literally across the street from our hotel.Decent prices but the real attraction was the band.Great music selection from Jimi Hendrix to Stevie Ray Vaughan to Dwight Yokem to ZZ Top to Tom Petty 💯💯

Not one table or chair to sit in the entire place. If you want to sit, drink and listen to music this is not the place. If you are good with standing and dancing all night then its a good spot. A little rowdy but the security was on top of it. Not my vibe though.

Quaint New Orleans style Bourbon Street bar. The staff were extremely friendly and despite the age of the building, the place was fairly clean

Love this place! Great vibe. Excellent bands. And the staff kept the place super tidy.

The DJ was the only good thing about this bar. The rum and coke was just coke, with a half second pour. I was too skeptical to order anything more complicated than that. The bathroom was OK. We stayed while the music was good, but it switched genres abruptly (I guess a younger crowd showed up) and we left. I might return to see the DJ again. He was a character, a true entertainer.

Loved this place! Not much else to say. My pics were taken before the crowd showed up..... definitely a cool place to relax and enjoy yourself

It was nice here with a good balcony view, but too loud for me personally.

Bar said open at 2pm went there at 2:20 pm on a Wednesday and was told by the bartender were closed. Due to the fact they are on bourban street they should strike to the times posted

I loved this bar. Razoos used to be my favorite but prohibition has taken over the top spot. Great atmosphere and hype hip hop all night long. 👍👍👍👍

Nice little spot on bourbon. If you go early they wont be packed and its still has the table and chairs there. But the latter it gets the more people come out, the chairs get put away. But its a great little vibe.

Live music and huge beers, as advertised. To get there is an easy walk down Bourbon if you start from Canal. The staff are friendly, but will kindly throw you out if you act like a jerk. Tip them well, and the musicians.

Wanted to have drinks and listen to some dope live music and THIS WAS THE PLACE. We went Saturday night and flipped around and came back Sunday after the Saints game same bar different band still bussin. Drinks were great and the vibe was sky high.

Awful experience here on Halloween. Their staff was drunk and overly handsy. The bartenders had no idea what they were doing and were charging outrageous prices (85 for one rum and coke) and today I just got a notification from my bank alerting me that I left a 16 dollar tip on a 14 dollar bill. I know for a fact I only left 2 dollars. 16 was the total yet they made that the tip. Unreal. DO NOT PARTY HERE

Bouncer kicked us off the deck for his friends after we bought drinks

Bass was pumping and lots of dancing. We went Saturday afternoon for a football game. The upstairs was open with a balcony. They threw tables together for our crowd and put the game on the TVs for us. They also had other games on too. Great atmosphere. We found ourselves in and out of this place multiple times throughout the 4 days we stayed.

DJ CoolCat is the man! MC Ninja made our night incredibly enjoyable!

Came here with a bach party group during Mardi Gras. The DJ & hype girl (Im not sure what else to call her) were awesome. The music was great and definitely kept the energy going! The drinks were a bit overpriced for what you get. I had a well vodka soda and it came in what seemed to be a 6 oz cup and it was $10. Overall we had a great time but the prices were a bit steep for the size.

Really fun atmosphere. The club is clean. That says a lit because many of them are not that clean. The chairs are comfy also. the music was good but played a little louder than was necessary. Id go there again.

The live music mad ethe environment go well. Tip the band through Vebmo. They deserve it, good sounds good beats. In and out band.

This spot on Burboun St. was pretty lit!

1st night, the live band was great. The next, the DJ wasnt our type of music. Drinks are small, weak and over priced. Get your drinks somewhere else and if the music isnt your style just keep it moving.

Fantastic hype up all night long! Great service! Great atmosphere! Theyll keep you lit. See Kayla upstairs she is AMAZING! She had us coming back for more 3 days straight!

Its Burbon Street, So Expect that.Most bars are the same. cement floors open doors, waitresses Forcing you to take shots.Take a Deep breath of urine and weed in that air all day and night with a hint of vomit.Good fun! Really, Just have fun, Dont get scammed by the I know where you got those shoes scam.Live bands are normally good.

Its a nice bar with dance area, plays popular music and nostalgic pop. Some of the bartenders take forever, so choose your bartender wisely.

This place was fun! The liquor drinks are a little pricey and come in tiny teeny glasses probably meant for very small people. The DJ and hosts definitely kept the party going.

The DJ was all DAT, wish the drinks was a lil better, but the vibe was very nice. This place has two levels, upstairs was a lil hot but it has a balcony. Me and my crew still enjoyed ourselves.... Thanks DJ

Loves the vibe here! People were actually dancing in the street to some of their music (this visit was rap/hip hop). I dont know if the music style changes; this was my first visit. The DJ was really good at bringing people on stage-mostly women showing off their assets, lol- and getting the audience involved. The bar is ok; it was busy, so a little hard to get a drink. Also a bit pricey...not any more or less than other places on Bourbon Street, but $12 plus a tip for a single whiskey seems a bit excessive.

Decent beer prices right on Bourbon St.Any place that puts over a 6 pack worth of beer in one glass is okay in my book. They even had live music during the day while we were there!

This rude waitress tried to charge us $44 for two starf#cker shots. She didnt know how to make them but nowhere in my 10 years of ordering them have they cost that much. $44 ??? Its well liquor with a splash of redbull. Seriously?? We went back to Tiki bar and got good service with legit prices.

We went there 08/04/2022 at 2pm and there’s a group that was playing Blues wish I knew the name music was amazing we had a great time we will be back for sure

Great bands and great beer and great prices on that beer. We would have stayed longer if there were more comfortable seats and food. We enjoyed ourselves!

This place let literal 16 year olds in with fake IDs then kicks me out because my ID is 2 months expired even though expiration dates were extended due to COVID and DMVs being closed. Then their sketchy manager tried to tell me to leave the public sidewalk. Can’t wait till ABC makes another visit to this place soon

Im not sure how I feel about this place. Wasnt exactly sure if the liquor they were giving me was actually liquor. $300 later and still no buzz. Only gave it 3 stars because the music was good

I was in New Orleans for a bachelorette party. Somehow we ended up in two groups, we were trying to regroup on the balcony of prohibition, but a friend who was pregnant (before you judge and say why was she there, she found out after she paid for everything and, she still likes having fun) was with us, and they wouldn’t let her on the balcony as she not drinking. She said she just bought a water bottle from the bar and that wasn’t the appropriate type of drink. I understand they are in the business to sell drinks, but use common sense.

Alright Bourbon st bar. The beers arent a rip off. Could have used more bar staff during the game as it took a while to get a refill. I wouldnt say its a must see spot but if you popped in here, it wouldnt be so bad. I liked the novelty cups.

Bartender asked if we wanted a shot. We had no clue they would be 26.00 per shot! Because he used Son Julio (60.00 per bottle) each shot was 26.00 - worst $130.00 spent i NOLA!

The female that was the bartender had a bad attitude. Upon talking to the owner to resolve the issue,she began sending threats and refusing service to my group of family and friends. The owner has no control over his employees. Visiting from California,will never go there again!

The bartender was great but the person checking IDs at the door late night was extremely rude and irrational. My husband and I walked in around 1am last night and ordered a fishbowl. About 15 minutes later, the person at the door came to me and told me I had to leave with that drink. I said “what are you talking about? I ordered the drink from here.” He responded “you can leave with that attitude etc.” my husband intervened and basically told him that he purchased the drink for me from here and if he has an issue to speak to him (Aka man to man). The staff said I snapped on him and apologized to my husband. To avoid this, I’m wondering why the staff didn’t simply check my container to confirm that the drink was purchased from the establishment instead of impulsively telling me to leave with no investigation. I submitted a complaint to their office and I am awaiting a reply.

Its a bar on Bourbon Street.... Not much else to say. They do have a balcony and if you get there early enough you can people watch. That was pretty cool.
