This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. They cut my fake tips too short, which at that point why even pay for tips? I told her 5 times I want coffin nails and she made them oval. She didn’t know how to do coffin so by the time the other nail tech came to help her my nails were sanded down too short. They used regular nail polish you can find at like CVS. And they didn’t even let me dry it properly and made me leave before it could. So it is now completely smudged. I am absolutely confounded how you you are making enough money to pay rent with this service. I also stand by and support all POC and ethnic businesses, but this was an absolute scam of a place. If I could give them no stars I would.
This is my go-to due to its proximity and competitive prices; however I would only do basic services here (e.g., regular mani/ pedi). I went last week to get my gel polish out and the nail technician used a nail drill improperly. She took out the first layer of my nail plate and my nails have been sensitive in the shower since then. Not irreversible damage as nails grow out over time, but I wont be back for gel polish removal.
At first I was happy with dip hands and regular pedicure. Before leaving the pedicure polish needed another coat which they did. Well 3 days later my dip was chipped. I went back and they fixed the 2 nails, 2 days later 2 more nails chipped, 1 day later 2 more nails chipped. Dip always last me 3 weeks NEVER with a chip. My nail grows but the dip never cracks. The brand they are using Ive used at other salons so the only thing I can think of is their service. I tipped well and paid $82 for the dip manicure and regular pedicure. I never pay this much but figured I was paying for the convenience. 1 week later and 5 nails chipped. I have no plans on going back to 34th street to fix it again. Im going to take it as a loss.
Surprised to see the negative reviews— i had a fantastic experience! ladies here were very nice and i walked in. I got a regular manicure and was charged $2 extra for using the ZOYA line. this wasn’t a big deal though, given that a manicure is $16!!! my nails look fab, my hands are moisturized. i’ll be coming back!!
I went here for the first time today and asked for the manicure pedicure deal for $38 before my treatment even started. I explained that I wanted a gel manicure though which I understand is probably just a little bit extra. Most salons will give the deal and charge about $10 extra. The woman helping me said Okay and started my pedicure. When all was said and done they rung me up full price for the manicure and the pedicure the total came out to $71. SCAMMY and not even that clean. They filled the pedicure tub with water from a 5 gallon bucket. It would not have even been worth the $38.... I will not be returning. Not to mention - they said the nails were dry and put the shoes on for me. Trusted them of course - but my toes are already messed up cus they were clearly not dry....
I’m doing regular polish manicure here for a few months now, and I think they are the best in 3 blocks radius
The people here are very nice. But, I got a dip manicure and a bunch of them ripped right off and took my nail with the polish. I’ve had too many dip manicures to count and I’ve never had this happen before. I even went back to get them fixed and then not even a week later they all fell off. Very disappointed because after the manicure and touch up its cost me over $70.
The first time I came around in December, the nail technician did a great job on my gel manicure pedicure. I paid $74! The second time I came around, I didn’t recognize any of the nail technicians there but didn’t think too much of it. First, the technician had difficulty turning on the jets for the pedicure. She asked me what kind of pedicure I wanted and they had a list with nothing under $40 but I ended up choosing a Shea butter pedicure with calluses removal and a 10 min massage. I had been there for an hour and my toe nails were just painted. Finally when it was time to pay, somehow my regular manicure and special pedicure was $86. It was near closing time and they ended up pretty much kicking me and 2 other women out while drying our nails. When putting on my shoes, my manicure was ruined. The technician fixed them only to tell me “the cold weather helps with drying your nails” so I left and my manicure was ruined again. It’s the worst experience I’ve had at a nail salon. They were quick to take my money and provide terrible service. Unless I see the technician who did my nails the first time, I’m never returning again.
I was skeptical based on the limited number of reviews, but this little place was fantastic! Clean, well-kept, and all the ladies were so friendly. Basic pedicure and a shellac manicure for just under $70 and it looks great. You can tell they appreciate their clients...even ones like me who were totally indecisive about polish colors. Will definitely be back!
DO NOT COME HERE! I decided to come here to get my nails done for my birthday, and im so upset. I got a pedicure which was fine but then I got acrylic nails. so over priced and not shaped well at all. I asked for almond and they look so misshapen. paid over $90 for regular acrylic nails and was charged to get a COLOR! ONE COLOR. not coming back im so disappointed.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a nail salon. The lady dipped my hand into an entire bowl of acetone nail polish remover, then attempted to scrape off my polish with a metro card. In the process, she ripped off an entire nail. When attempting to create a fake nail and assuring me it would look exactly like my other nails, she burned me with the polish light. The fake nail was so bad I had her take it off. Also, the final product was an uneven manicure with lots of bumps and streaks in a color I hadn’t asked for. The price was really high for what you get. Staff was rude and insulted the health of my nails. Would recommend avoiding this salon.
Im known for giving a place positive reviews but this one is ridiculous first of all to be assisted when we had a scheduled appointment for a specific time we were told to come back in an hour then the atmosphere was not inviting its small and crowded and the people doing your nails have a problem if you talk. The job that was done on my nails was horrible my nails were coming off 2 hours later literally popping off. This is a place I would never go back to they need to go back to cosmetology school I learned how to do nails correctly
At first the manicure wasn’t done 100% precisely, but then I pointed out the deficiencies and they redid it without arguing which I appreciated and in the end it turned out nicely. The place is clean and they have a vast choice of polishes. Also it’s very convenient since they accommodate walk ins in a quick way.
Ive passed by Murray Nail several times and finally stopped in today. The salon was cozy and clean, and the technician did a great job with the hangnails and polish. My manicure was $14.75, reasonably priced for the area. Will come back again
Went in there to have my French manicure redone. Ended up being in there for three hours because they had to totally take the manicure they did off and start over because it looked so horrible. I realize there is some language barrier (which isn’t my fault) but the lady was really dismissive when I was trying to tell her how I liked it.She kept waiving her hand and dismissing what I was saying and basically just drew in the white part however the hell she though it should be. Which looked super nuts in the end! Like super duper crazy! The manicure I walked I there with, which was 3 weeks old, looks way better than what they did. This place is probably fine if you’re just getting a plain nail color polished on. But if you’re looking for anything that requires a certain level of skill, I strongly advise you not to patron this place.
I see you are offering a complimentary service as my experience previously was really bad. However, i do not know how to schedule this complimentary session? No info about that.
My first impression of this salon was that its clean and spacious. They have a great color selection and the nail technician was friendly and professional. Its been well over a week but my manicure has stayed in great shape. Ill be recommending this place to my friends.
Do not waste you’re time or money coming here. I literally have never written a review before in my life but my experience was terrible from start to finish. The nail technician they gave me kept having to get up to collect money from the other customers. When i said multiple times i would wait for someone else who could focus on my nails as other patrons coming in we’re getting dedicated technicians. They seem very rushed.I will not be back
The worse manicure salon in The area! They just want to get paid for nothing! They don’t do a detail job. The manicure was horrible! They finished my pedicure in 10 minutes! Didn’t scrub much very very poor work !No wonder they are never busy! Please don’t go to this establishment you will throw your hard working money away! All the Ladies are tired and constantly speaking to each other and they don’t like their job.!
Stay away. I only came here because Bona is under construction. Biggest rip off. I asked to remove dip and replace. Owner said it’s an extra 10 to remove. She was going so slow and color option was limited. I decided to not replace dip. So she let the other woman, who was very sweet take over. I asked her to cut down and file only. The owner/manager said the price to remove dip is now 15, and to cut/file is also 15. So I paid $30 for only to remove dip and file my nails. Absolutely ridiculous. I could have gone to any other salon and pay that or bit more for gel.
As many others have reviewed , I strongly advise you do not get your manicure here . It may sound like a deal at 14$ but its a terrible experience. I had to keep correcting the nail technician which seemed to be in quite the rush , she was also quite aggressive. Jessy I was told her name is perhaps the other ladies are more willing to do a good job and provide a good experience but mine definetly wasnt. I tipped because I didnt want to be rude but definetly undeserving . I also saw other customers complaining about the service they were recieving.
I suggest you DONT go here ! I decided to stop here for the first time because I wanted my nails done for my bday first off let me say My nails were horrible, They’re expensive and the nail quality is really cheap I literally payed 100$ for some horrible nails that i continuously complained about telling them I wasn’t satisfied and still the same thing, had to get up and leave in the middle of the session! And didn’t even get half my money back I’m really disappointed never again!!!
PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE.I got my nails taken off here and the nail tech KIM - cut my thumb open, didnt apologise at all . She clearly didnt know to take off acrylic nails or wasnt confident. My thumb was bleeding when I left. This place is clean but thats the only saving grace
Way overpriced, charge extra for everything. Got a mani pedi, they didnt do foot or hand massage at all, no callous removal unless you pay extra! Im used to all included.Never had a worse pedicure in my life! Nail polish started chipping in 2 days and mine usually lasts at least 10 days b4 a chip.It was a total waste of money and time. Sidenote: theres a massage station upstairs had a quick 10 minute massage with a guy, he was amazing! Sorry I dont know his name.he gets 5 stars.
Decided to stop by this salon after work. Glad I gave it a try. I got a mani-pedi and the nail tech did an excellent job. Its been over a week but the polish still looks fresh and intact. Ill definitely be stopping by this location again.
This is my go to spot for nails after work. It has lots of color selections and friendly staff. This place is very clean and well maintained. My nails always come out perfect! (I get lots of compliments at work!) Love this place.
I never post reviews, but I felt the need to share here because I checked Google Reviews before I went and was not prepared for what happened. Yelp paints a better picture of my experience. I have never gotten up and left before something was completed. To begin they have very few colors to choose from for SNS. As you can see from the photos I was in pain from the cuticle work and filing, everything about how my nails looked was being made worse, and I felt like I had no choice to pay for what had been done and leave. My cuticles are now horrific, my nails are short and feel rough to the touch. When I asked how much would it cost if I left right now, I was told $5. Then as I was paying they tried to raise it to $10 “because I got a manicure.” Ultimately I paid $7 and then for a trip to the drug store to try and fix this mess. I also read that POC get asked where they live, and where they work. I definitely was asked whether I lived in the area. I highly suggest trying somewhere else
Terrible place. Terrible employees. Terrible service. Prejudice as well. Gone in more than once to try and shrug it off and thinking maybe it’s only certain people. Nope. Whole establishment is terrible. And they tried to cheat me out of my money. I paid cashed because every time I’ve paid card the lady tells me no tax with cash after. Today I did cash and she took an extra 5 dollars. I said I thought you said no tax she tried to play it off and say oh I’ll give you a discount. A discount!? I’m never going here again. They’ve asked me to pay for my service before it was done, while every other white woman just enjoyed theirs. And the pedicures are below mediocre.
Great service. Decent prices. Not busy so was in and out. Got pedicure, reflexology, basic manicure and eye brow waxing. Very friendly staff.
Ive been coming here for the past few weeks, and the technicians have been sweet and do a great job with my manicure.
They reached out to me and agreed to provide a complimentary service
Worst ever. I hoped with new management the service might have improved, but sadly it was not. The Asian technicians are incompetent and uninterested. I could have done a better job myself.
I cannot understand the bad reviews. Just got a gorgeous mani and pedi. The service is outstanding and never met nicer people. Will definitely be back!
My get nails started to peel off after 3 days. I wish i saw all of the reviews here and on yelp. This place is terrible. STAY AWAY
Very rude when asking for the payment and especially the tip! Not professional from their part.
Walked in and had great service:) I recommend and will be back!
Over priced with cheap weak work my nail broke in less than 24hrs
Kind service and great nail selection
Poor quality and unprofessional. DO NOT GO THERE. Better places around.
Worse manicure I ever have
Great pedi!
