This is such a fun place to go to when you just want to dance and enjoy good music. Its crowded but spacious on the dance floor. The staff is super nice and friendly but they dont tolerate inappropriate behavior. The drinks are yummy and I would say decently priced for the area.Ive gone here a lot to dance or enjoy the bar. I have seen bottle service too. I enjoy their music too they have recent stuff and oldies.I have yet to use their karaoke services however the glimpses Ive seen in rooms look fun. The rooms are by the dance floor so you can take a break from singing or dancing and easily switch.Overall MK is a good time for anyone who likes to dance and have fun.
Was told the place got better so I gave it a second chance. Sad that it hasn’t. Was ushered off the elevator with a group of really cool Asian friends. They were swept into a room without much words but for some odd reason I wasn’t allowed to join them. No reason was given. At the bar, I waited politely, but I was literally the last person served even behind people who got there after me. I’m not Asian but everyone who was served before me was. Was told this place wasn’t prejudiced like that anymore, but I guess that’s not changed.
Sad to see this place go. It was the go to spot after all the other spots were dying down. It’s like a family here and only those who are miserable people did not like this place. I’ve had several birthdays here and glad I spent my last one here too. I have met some of my closest friends here. I have very little negative to say about this place except one of the DJs who gets on the mic too much but it’s okay. No hate for this place as a whole.
I ended up popping in this place last night on a Sunday because an employee was outside handing out vouchers for a free drink, and why not check out a place giving a drink on the house! It was empty but that’s fine with me because I got to dance all by my lonesome without anyone judging my dance moves haha(I was with friends). I got a lychee and tequila which in my opinion was super good and I’d recommend! I like that the bathrooms were a good size, clean, and not 1 singular bathroom. I would definitely come back here, even if it’s empty again! I want to try their karaoke hopefully next time!
Probably one of my favorite Karaoke spots in the city! Staff are always nice and every weekend, they always have an amazing lineup of DJ’s bringing the energy! Highly recommend if you just want a place to party at or to do Karaoke.
The workers there were extremely rude and dismissive. The karaoke was just YouTube and the much microphone was not of a good quality. The room was freezing which ain’t the worst but not the best. And finally the food was really overpriced which McDonald’s fries being $14. Don’t go here there must be better places
The food is low quality the drinks are watered down and the manager with goggles and a cap is horrible. No wonder this place is shutting down. All my friends I brought here or that put me on said he has a terrible attitude and he doesn’t know any of them. Man’s shouldn’t be a club manager. He said me and my friends are annoying for drinking and asking questions. Like bouncers should speak like that if anything not owners. So mad your place is trash and closing down and most people deep down don’t respect you or talk trash. It’s really sad at this point how many people have reviewed or complained about this owner scamming their card or time or kicking them out because they’re just dancing with their friends. If you’re a judge mental friendless nerdy rude Korean guy you shouldn’t be the face of a business that’s diverse and fun and yeah somewhat full of alcoholics. I paid cost check and for my phone to be charged and because I asked one question he took me into a room to ask me why my friends are drunk like what??? Then slandered me and said I’m not welcome. I’ve heard constant stories about this guy and then he goes across the street to eat at a restaraunt with randos from the club to feel cool as I’ve seen him do that. Big failure of a 40 year old lie boy acting wannabe man. Might not be at all the first group who experienced this But definitely one of the last because this spot is closing and I would say it’s sad but this owner or manager who is a hermit cricket snail looking guy needed to get out of a job somehow. He’s like that grim cynical judgy anime character no one likes in a series- unpersoneable and unfriendly with no character arc. Mk would’ve been way better and probably survived with you to be honest though.
I was pushed by employees several times which ended up spilling drinks on me and it wasn’t even crowded. Been here twice and this happened several times for each visit.I spent money karaoke and drinks to have a good time not to get pushed by employees.
A really cool karaoke place! We were in the main room, but there were spacious private rooms off the main.It was a large event and I felt that the singers were screaming into the mic as they sang. They were holding the mic too close to their mouths. I wish they could have regulated their sound system a little so it wasnt so ear splitting. Most of us escaped to the many private rooms that were available just to be able to carry on a conversation. But if you like having to scream in order to talk to the person sitting next to you, then this may be the spot for you
The place is expensive for what it is, but the people there were nice, and the crowd they had was mostly hot young 20-something’s so you can definitely have a good time if you are looking for one.My group had a private room, where we found the furniture sticky and the Wi-Fi was pretty bad, but every time we pushed the call button the staff was super attentive.Overall I would say it depends on what you are looking for, might not be for everyone.
Karaoke during Covid-19 not bad. Everyone must be wearing a mask, they provide you with napkins, water and sanitizer. The seats and the space is very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. For being the first time in this karaoke it looked very nice, clean and big. $60 for an hour for 5-7 people wasn’t that bad at all. Definitely will come back again.
XT was the best! Very welcoming, hospitable and accommodating to our needs! Quick and lively service, will definitely be back soon!
We came to the address with reservations for the 4th floor venue, but that other karaoke place was wanting 92$ an hour despite there being 10$ per hour options nearby.. insane work. So we took a gamble and walked upstair. for the cheapest option for 14 of us, it was 300$, which included a bottle of tequila, mixers and an hour of karaoke. An amazing deal for big parties since it came out to around 23 per person for the karaoke and the shots. They let us sit down in the club area while we waited for the bigger room to be set up and there was house music on. We finally got in, had fun and the server for us was amazing. Theres like 5 or 6 screens and it is youtube on a tablet but that just means unlimited options. They let us know 5 minutes ahead that our time was running out and if we wanted to do another hour. We didnt need to, so we were checking out, and since we had a birthday girl with us, they let her have the royal party treatment on the stage with the dj, along with champagne and good vibes. FOR FREE. Would definitely come back here with a big party EVERY SINGLE TIME.
This place was really sick. Awesome vibes. XT was a great host and was super helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Honestly this place was amazing. We went there last night and although it was empty due to it being a Monday. The bartender made the experience worth the while. The bartender was kind and sweet and even answered questions about other locations. I would recommend you go here. They are all respectful and kind.
Accommodated a very last minute Reservation. Staff was super friendly & attended fairly quickly.Overall, made my first experience at a Karaoke Bar very well.
Cool place. Not sure if this was a one off situation but we were searching for songs on YouTube and a lot of times the timing was off. We were moved to a different room twice. Service was great and the speakers were loud. Comfortable rooms.
There is a pretty precarious elevator ride to get there. It was extremely loud. We were there for karaoke. The service was great and everyone was friendly. The karaoke was not great as it was straight from youtube. After our session we wanted to use the restroom before heading out. They told us we had to check our coats/jackets in order to use the restroom. I explained to them that we just finished up karaoke but they didnt care. They wanted us to pay to check our things just so we could use the restroom.
This space is a hazard. Unsafe crowd too small of space. Claustrophobic and fights breaking out along with mandatory coat check
Its always good vibe. Ive been through hell and back, but its always warm welcome when I walk in. Theres been ups and downs since these last 3 years since 2020 the owner is dope and I respect for him. Mkkaraoke always has great taste of music selections good enough for anyone who comes by. Great experience, drinks, music, kind customers and workers. All is welcome here feel free to come by anytime especially on the weekends.
Not a bad spot to go to in the Ktown area, we went late at night on a weekday and it was still open until 4am, so clutch if you have friends in town on a Wednesday night. Karaoke was decently priced and the rooms were nice and spacious.
We popped in on Christmas Eve and got a private room. Service was attentive, we were never waiting for anything. We had a great time in our private room, and we would visit again!
Great atmosphere!! Especially on dj nights! Drinks are a lil pricey but it’s the city so it’s expected. So be ready to spend a lil more money then usual.Staff was super cool, they were hyping the crowd up. They were attentive to people at the bar as well.I will say it is a lil small for a club, but still big enough to dance and get people in.The karaoke rooms look nice and spacious, there were a couple of rooms for karaoke. Didn’t reserve one so I can’t say whether the prices are worth it or not.Wish it was more out in the open because you do have to go to the fifth floor to get there, but at the end of the day it’s worth itI will be coming back to celebrate my birthday there cuz it’s a fun night out!!
The owner is very disrespectful and doesnt know how to manage this lounge. I clearly witness him spitting at some guys face because he thought the guy was trying to come in for free but yet this young man had a wristband on. I heard every conversation he had with this poor young man that he yelled at and bullied. Shame on you for acting like a child and not an adult. You clearly dont know how to run your business. Do yourself a favor and shut down your lounge. God forbid u gave that young man some disease with your nasty spit.. very unprofessional.. will not recommend this place to Anyone..stay away..wish there was 0 stars..
Had to write my first review after my experience with this establishment. I go to different nightclubs regularly and I form my own social events. This was by far one of the most disappointing experiences due to the rudeness of the staff. I witnessed them become aggressive towards people who would put their items on the steps despite being unaware that there was a coat check area. Almost causing a fight to break out between customers and staff. And they told a group to move out of the way whilst they were trying to have fun. That’s not how you treat customers who come to your establishment. At the end of the day this is a business and your conduct should always be professional. Drinks are very overpriced too and I was shocked. In addition, they allow women to dance on the steps. Not men. It was awkward to see two people get asked to step down in the middle of when they were vibing to the music and being cheered on by the crowd.Although, the DJ’s were lit. 👏🏼I personally would not recommend this place.
The most fun fun fun night in my life. Jason is amazing and their service was fantastic. Will go again for my BD.
A few of our DJ played, and some of our Cosplay friends go here as regular! 10/10 must go !!!
If i could give this place 0 stars i would. the manager in particular is the most disrespectful person to ever grace this city. he is not only racist, but highly disrespectful even to customers who have paid a large sum to drink or even just be there. i have come to this establishment on many occasions. the manager will say “do this” and then tell you you shouldn’t do it and to leave if you don’t buy ANOTHER drink. for example, he told my friend to get on the DJ booth, and then after about a minute he told her to get down and said he never told her to do so despite us all hearing him and there being witnesses. he said buy another drink if you’re sorry. on a different occasion, he told a group of a black man, a hispanic man, and my boyfriend from korea that they could smoke in the club, seconds after they began smoking he said they couldn’t smoke and then started to drag my boyfriend out, who wouldn’t hurt a fly. he then began cursing and when my boyfriend started to curse back , which he NEVER does, we apologized and were going to say. he then said “buy $150 worth of drinks or leave”. He has also pushed and shoved many people not only in my group but others and then will say you pushed him when you haven’t even touched him. on several other occasions, he has targeted different groups i’ve brought. if they are white, he doesn’t say a word. if they are black, he comes over and either straight up says leave, or drunkenly gives us sprinklers as long as we shake and dance on the stage. if you’re not wearing skimpy enough clothing for him, he’ll literally PULL you down after he put you up there and leave the skimpy clothing friends up. then he’ll kick you out. he is a drunk, he is racist, he is rude. His comments about black women in particular alone are highly disrespectful. take your service elsewhere, the karaoke is a scam , the club is a scam. You can identify the manager by the man always wearing a hat and glasses. The only reason I keep going there is because the better clubs are quite far and not everyone wants to walk. I’d recommend maru instead at this point.
Some of us went to the place seeing the good reviews. We had made a reservation online. They had messed up the dates and said that we had made a booking on a wrong date. But since the rooms were vacant we were allowed inside. After 20mins of our time it started. They said it is mandatory we order drinks worth $20/person. We werent told about this beforehand. After an hour, we were told that we had to get another $20/person worth drinks on top of the expense for individual rooms. We decided to leave the place. One of us had forgot their belongings and didnt get it back. The staff said there was nothing in the room. The staff was not pleasant to interact with. I wouldnt go there again
Yikes! Terrible customer service. My friends and I spent a good amount after 3 hours of karaoke and they treated us like dirt for no reason. We wont be going back. Dont spend your money here. There are some many other great places in Ktown that treat good paying customers or just any type of patron with kindness and respect.
Drinks are great, not too expensive either and the bartenders are great at conversing. Come on the weekend for more people, come in the week if you like it less crowded. The private karaoke booths open at 9 or 10pm.
This place is awesome had a blast! XT was the best host!
The staff is amazing and so kind. I had the best night out in a while since the pandemic started. We got here and waited a few minutes for our room to be sanitized. And altho we only had an hour limit our host kindly allowed us to sing a few more songs since we had to wait a bit in the beginning. Food and drink prices were amazing compared to regular bar spots. And there was a great selection of music and even recently released songs. Ill definitely be back.
Great music, and amazing atmosphere(Update to this review as someone who continues to come here after this review I can say I made so many memories and and friends here and I will continue recommending this spot to everyone I know, such a gem of a spot. )
Be prepared. When I came in to the room, the time block began. It is 60 dollar per hour plus 20 dollar drink per person. If you are hesitating, the clock is ticking. They do not tell when the tine begins. They do tell you when the 1 hr clocks ends within 10 min and you need to decide whether you want to stay or leave. 20 dollars per person also restarts including 60 dollars per per hour.l, which I feel like money sucking machine. So be prepared. The staffs are nice. To me it was more like club rather than karaoke. Fyi. Thanks
This Karaoke was amazing!!! I had my daughters 14 y/o birthday here with her friends. Let me start by saying booking was a cinch! Upon arriving the room was set and ready to go for my daughter and her party. The bartender/host explained the pricing, options, and tutorial on the karaoke controls. There was a call button for my daughter and her friends to press should they wanted to order anything from the menu, and the staff made sure to add the smoke and glowing tambourines for an awesome experience. We sat at the bar while my daughter was in her room, and had well made drinks and shots..especially the jolly rancher and lemon drop shots. Definitely recommend for a great group event!
The music selection was definitely great. However service was horrible and pricing was so confusing. Came here with a large group of 12 and they were saying we have to buy a minimum of 2 bottles (cheapest bottle was almost $300) or pay $20 a head per hour (on top of buying our own drinks/food). Our system even stopped working for about 10 minutes and they had to fix it. which we were not given back. When our 2 hours was coming to a close, a male server told us we can buy one more bottle for the extra hour so we just bought the bottle. Then the lady server came in while we were singing and just took our karaoke remote and cleared out all our songs without even saying a word. When we called her back to ask what happened she said a whole different story that we have to buy another 2 bottles for 2 hours and that they don’t do one hour, but we already paid for the one bottle. All in all, it was pretty much a rip off. I’ve never had that experience at a karaoke bar in K-Town. Don’t think we’ll be coming back here.
Horrible customer service and horrible place. Hosts were super rude, and difficult. Make it easy to enter and hard to exit. Mandatory coat check even for a sweater in the cold. Make you take it off even if you don’t want to. Bar was horrible anyway. So many better places on the same street.
I Booked this place for my birthday. They supposedly gave me the BIG private karaoke room and charge me $100 an hour for the room. There was no huge size difference in the “BIGGER” room compared to the other “smaller” rooms. There is also a drink minimum when you book the larger rooms the problem is all of the drinks were disgustingly water down. Not to mention that one of the hostesses was rude. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. There are so many other karaoke bars in Koreatown …. don’t waste your time on this one.
Music is lit props to the DJ ! Everything else is bad.The drinks are over $20! And they are sooooo weak and water down..For a long Island and a cranberry vodka we were charged $47 plus tips also its not LGBT friendly. We had our trans friend dancing with the girls on top of this steps (were every girl was dancing) and they pointed out our trans friend with a flashlight by the security for her to come down so everyone that was up there saw how bad she felt and came down and most of the girls came down with her out solidarity. Wont ever come back here and if I do Ill give them an other review. Overall bad 👎
Love this place!! If youre looking for a good time come here!!P.s. xt is the best!! 🤍🤍
I have experienced racism first hand in this establishment. I do not recommend that anyone go to this place especially poc!!! The owner is very particular on who he lets on the dancing area. He kicked me and my friend off for absolutely no reason! We felt targeted throughout our whole experience and although many people supported us we were still treated badly. Many people have experienced the similar problems with this location. It is honestly a very uncomfortable place to be especially for blk and brn ppl and I would not recommend at all!
Positives: The music selection and quality is good.Negatives: Definetly not the place to go if you want a pure karaoke experience. It feels tacked on to the raging club outside. And the $20 per hour per person requirement is, in my opinion, dangerous and unnecessary. No wonder the people I saw leaving looked trashed beyond belief. If you want a good karaoke time, go to any of the many spots nearby instead.
Just Celebrated Wifes Birthday on October 19. Staff was amazing. Food was amazing. The private room was amazing. Everyone in our party were happy and entertained. Song selection was great. My wife was so happy with everything. The manger Peter checked in on us and made sure we were happy. I will definitely return. Not many places take the time and make sure there customers are happy they do.
I wanted to have a cool time with my friends and they said that there was a drinking minimum for us to get in. I told them religiously we can’t drink alcohol, so if it was okay to replace that minimum with soft drinks instead. But the receptionist went to the manager and the man Asher refused because it was a busy night. I’m not sure how that really made sense because we were willing to pay for the drink minimum as long as we were able to pay for the soft drinks. They do not have accommodations for those who want to get a private room and do some karaoke without the drinking element. It’s not fair and not fun. I feel like if they had more accommodating policies for those who can’t drink but would still like to have fun with their friends privately, they would get more customers. But they single-handed ruined a perfectly good night for my friends and I and we really felt ostracized and embarrassed. Please change this policy.
Small and smoky (the fog effect, not cigarette smoke) space with party lighting and house music. No lyrical, pop or hip hop music to dance to. Was a younger crowd too, college age. Not my scene but it’s nice for what it is. Staff is friendly and they seem to be keeping it pretty well maintained.
XT was so much fun, we love MK!
Ok first off drinks are waaay over priced. But I can over look that. Where they lost me, was the horrible sound in the room. The mic echos like Im about to announce the next boxing champ. And all the rooms are like that. Ive literally never gone to any karaoke spot where it sounded that bad! And the lady looked at me like I was crazy. I run karaoke in a dive bar at Mamas, and our mic is a thousand times better! Never going back. Waste of money.
Went here for my birthday in December of 2022. The staff told us we would pay ~$300 for our session. At the end of our sessions they charged us closer ~$800. They apologized for their staff’s mistake in giving us an inaccurate quote but wouldn’t let us leave without paying the full bill. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else that isn’t trying to steal your money.
A few things I have to say about this place. 1. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk to welcome us they were all over the place we had to like get there attention so they could find our reservation. 2. In their page it says $60 per hour and thats it so when we got there I told them i wanted to reserve for 2 hours and then she says i dont know if she told you but in order to reserve you have to buy a bottle or you cant stay. So we did which I dont mind if thats what we had to do but it would be nice if we had known before hand and last but not least please watch the time you reserve because if you dont they wont tell you anything and just keep on charging the more time you stay. I found it wierd that nobody came in to tell us hey girls youre time Is up, if you want more time you will have to buy another hour etc... I didnt find that professional. I had a cool time because of the group of friends I was with but I wont be coming back.
This place is really fun! You walk in and you get to spin this huge prize wheel once per group, when I went we won a free platter of fruit which was awesome! The rooms are very nice too, you get a tablet to look for songs and queue them. Be wary because there is a one drink minimum, but these are all very good and really strong too! Overall a great place honestly!!
Had such a good experience for my birthday! Booking online was fast and easy... the only thing is that they don’t call to confirm... but I had a group of about 15 people, and we all had an AMAZING time. The prices are pretty reasonable and if you bring a cake they will cut it and bring candles! Also, they give a free bottle of champagne for your birthday
The bouncer at the entrance is very rude and it really spoils your mood. The bouncer with the braided hair was shouting at us saying we were lazy because we didnt want to take the stairs 5 floors up and didnt allow us to take the elevator. He seemed like he was drunk himself too.
Went here about 2 years ago. They were nice to replace my drink at no cost after it was knocked over by accident. Despite the mini drama that the group I was with had with your staff, I personally think the service was decent and would go back in the future.
Honestly this was the worst Karaoke place I ever been to. Karaoke it self is super disappointing from Songs to music quality. On top of that the workers are super rude for no reason. Our tv for karaoke was not working suddenly and we called the worker and she couldn’t fixed it and she gave us a shot that we didn’t want. And we basically paid full price but last 20 minutes we could use it because machine was not working. But She thought she fixed the problem because she gave us a shot that we didn’t want. At least she could ask us what we want. Overall the place was a trash. I’ve been many karaoke places around korea town and there are way better places than here. Just don’t waste your time and money here. I will not be coming back!
I was prepared not to like this place. I called several times to book a surprise birthday party for my wife and never received a response to my many voicemails. I went in person and spoke to a very rude guy who wrote my name, number and the date of the party. Finally I received a call back for the wrong date.HOWEVER, on the day of, everything went off without a hitch. Cathy was so professional and helpful . Jason, went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday special. I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service. Especially after my bad experience with the rude guy. On the day of, everyone was, kind, professional, friendly, and fun.The end result; we (especially my wife) had a blast.
Cool little spot. Elevator was out of order to get to the place on the 5th floor but even if it was working seems like it would be tight. Overall the place wasnt bad. Had a nice size room for my group of about 15 people. The rooms have get loud once you start the karaoke so its easy to block out noise and dj from main room. If main room gets crowded they can block the door to your private room blocking you from getting out which can be annoying but overall good selection of songs and good size rooms
Came here on a chaotic night. Shawn and Grece helped me and my friends get a room for karaoke and i had a great time. Will probably come back here soon. Overall a great time
We were competing with the club DJ and it was hard to hear our karaoke music due to the volume of the club music.
Pros- Good Ambience- Good Sound system- Good booking processCons- Bad customer service- Difficult to navigate with Korean remote- Overpriced for two hours. Was told $60/hour. Stayed for two. Overall, they charged $200 including gratuities AND asked for more tips.- Hidden location
I discovered this gem in the heart of k town a month back. Ever since I’ve been here almost every Friday and Saturday night. Even when the place is not as pack around 10pm (gets crowded around 11) I enjoy owning the dance floor 😅. The DJ’s play all the right music. Best hip hop and edm. I have no complaints. And the bartenders are super friendly (😅I have a crush on one of the female bartenders 🥴). Anyway, I always meet new people here and end up following them on Instagram. I’d like to add that the bouncers are super friendly. Especially Chris. Overall this place is a staple for my night life adventures atm. Since I been coming here I brought all of my friends. I hope to continue supporting this place. I love it!
Awesome night club. Gets lit on Fridays and Saturdays. The bar tenders are really attentive and the environment is awesome. Music is 2000 hip hop, pop ,rock and even electronic. A must go to have a good weekend.
We did karaoke and they keep interrupting you in the middle of your session to make sure you pay and turning on lights and entering the room multiple times during the session :( but the facility was ok
DONT GO HERE! Theres a karaoke bar across the street thats probably cheaper and better. The facilities here are nice (clean and sleek), so thats why Im giving them two stars instead of one. They didnt explain how to use the remotes, so we wasted at least 5 minutes figuring out how to put a song on hold while another song played (eventually we found the yellow button to push). The remotes were very sticky and hard to push properly. The worst part, though, was that they asked for my credit card and license, and forgot to give it back when we left. They didnt open until 6PM the next day, of course, and it was highly inconvenient to go back to Manhattan and pick it up.
Prices are a scam. Made a reservation for a party of 6 in a private room, and we were told that there was a $20 per person per hour drink minimum on top of the room charge, OR that we could buy a bottle for the table for $300, and that there would be no drink minimums the rest of the night. After the first hour, they went into our room and said either everyone had to buy another drink or we had to get another bottle, or else we would have to leave the room EVEN WHEN they told us there would be no more drink minimums the rest of the night. An absolute scam especially since the drink minimums aren’t advertised anywhere and they just totally lie and take advantage of you for an extra buck.
Gave our party of 5 a very nice room. After about 2 minutes they told us we had to move to a different one. It was ratty with obviously older equipment. My friend has a severe allergy to tobacco smoke and as soon as we walked in the room her eyes started to swell. We called the host in to ask if someone had been smoking in here, he responded telling us that they do allow smoking in the rooms. In the first room we didnt have a single problem and rather than offering to move us back to the original room, they said we had to leave if we didnt like the allowance of smoking. So we left and found somewhere else to go.As we were walking out I took a look at the room they removed us from and there wasnt even a party in there. If you like cigarette smoke and paint chipping off the walls, I recommend this place.
So glad MK is back! Went this week with some friends and everything was great!! Maybe because I haven’t gone out in a year but my friends and I had the best time!!! The place is really clean and they have disposable microphone covers and sanitize the microphones. Service was super fast and great!!
Private rooms. Good service. Limited food they encourage buying bottles of alcohol and provide mixers. Aside from bottles, limited drinks and wine if youre in a room you still have to go to the bar yourself to get them waiters will bring bottles of beer but wont bring cocktails I thought that was odd.
Karaoke rooms have adequate space for a group hang outs. One thing that sets this apart from other Karaoke bars is that they have so many cool club lights. Even in the Karaoke room. Definitely will have fun if you choose to go there!
I always have a good time at MK !!! The staff are so friendly!!!
We called at 01:58 to check if it’s really opened until 4am. The man on the phone said “yes, we’re”. We paid Uber $30, arrived at 2:15am, climbed up to the 4th floor and the girlbehind the bar said “we’re closed now”.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! HORRIBLE AND SCARY EXPERIENCEIts not only for the ridiculous expensive prices and the poor selection of English songs (seriously, we found ourselves spending more time reading their song book than actually singing), but for the poor insulting treatment by the staff. An hour into our Karaoke session, we were informed that there is a 10$ order minimum per person, we ordered a bottle of wine. When we came to check out and pay, we only tipped for the order we placed, the wine. They asked us to tip for the time we spent there (bottle of wine $45, time we spent $160), when we refused (you dont tip for what you pay to get in, you tip for the food and beverages you order), they started to threaten us that if we dont tip enough, they will take care of us downstairs! They actually THEY ACTUALLY THREATEN TO PHYSICALLY HURT US! furthermore, they kept yelling at us in front of other people : You are cheap, dont ever come backWe knew we were never going to come back before that, but now we know that we will make sure everybody we know never visits this place!
The private rooms are pretty spacious but the place has a few problems.1. The service is bad. It was very hot in the private rooms and despite repeated requests to turn up the air conditioner, the staff ignored it. We left an hour earlier then we wanted to because of it. It seems its one of those places where the service levels are commensurate with how much alcohol your ordering.2. The English songs catalog is limited. Many popular songs that you can find at other karoake bars were missing. The K-Pop list seemed thin too although not sure if there is another dedicated catalog.3. They tried to scam us in a way. They sent a waitress in with test tube shots that had a price on the tray. Now if ur drunk enough and just assume someone in your group ordered it, thats more money out of your pocket. She also did a little acting job to sell it but our group sent her away shot tray intact.I still give it 3 stars because our group had fun but if I would have read this review beforehand I would have likely found another karoake bar.
Always a great time at MK!!! The manager is so sweet and the rooms are spacious and clean with great sound system!
Great for birthday parties as it can accomodate large groups. They are on the pricey side for bottle service and packages. But I end up going here if I still want to dance late night and grab a few drinks at the bar before heading out for haejang. I believe they open until 5:30am on Fridays and Saturdays. It is disorganized on the left side of the bar (if youre facing it) because staff go in and out. Try to avoid getting a table or sitting at the bar by here. One of the POS systems is also located there so it can get hectic. I love that you dont have to go outside to smoke because they have a stairwell (great for cold winter nights, especially for ladies).
Decor: 3/5Service: 4/5Drinks: 2/5We were left alone for the most part. Service appeared to be unbiased. Prices are as expected for KTown. Pizza is $20, Watermelon Soji $36, etc. The watermelon soji was quite good tasty but def not worth the high price tag.
Bad service, walked in and no one seemed to want to help us. The front desk girl left to sing with the bar people... felt discriminated against because we arent Korean. Not a place to go if you want to have a good time. Thank God Maru was open and it looked way better too.
Great spot for karaoke in private rooms. Bring all your closest friends and get your singing on! Theres a bar outside to quench your thirst. DJ spinning music on the weekends to get your foot loose. Youll have a blast. This place is open quite late on the weekends. Definitely an after hours place to hit up.
Love the vibes, love the staff, love everything about this place, go every Saturday when I have the time.
My girlfriends and I had the best time celebrating her birthday! The drinks were good and so many hot people there! Live DJ was amazing!! Love!!!
Very spacious rooms with good audio. Disappointed by the sound isolation of the rooms, as well as the fact that the eng and intl songs are either or, you cant use both in the same session.
Its a good Karaoke place, very clean, modern rooms and great sound. Sadly it has SO few non-Korean songs, I found myself going for backup songs many times. The software is all in Korean And it just sets a random korean video in the backdrop, which is kinda sad.Id give it a higher rating if they had English software, no random video backdrop, and more non-Korean songs.
Moved us from a nice room to one that reeked of cigarette smoke. We werent asked if smoking rooms were ok.EDIT: the host EXPLICITLY told us people had been smoking in the room (and suggested we leave) when we mentioned a member of our party having a serious allergy to cigarette smoke.
One of our regular k-town karaoke joints. Slighty nicer/cleaner than some of the others but also busier and a bit pricier. If you want private karaoke rooms at the end of your night out I would recommend coming here.
Running a free drink promotion out front to promote. All given free shots which was a nice welcome. Watered down, I understand that. Second round to make it worth it for the house, watered down as well. People know what’s up they just don’t return
The small room they gave us is comfortable, the remote control is either hard to press or broken, at least with the 2 units they provided us and theres no touch screen monitor. For those who like to sing Chinese, well there are NO Chinese or Hong Kong song selections, but English, Korean and Japanese. For its price, if they want to charge a premium, they have to update their equipment and song selections. Though Im not saying I would not come here it would certainly be a place I would go to as a last resort.
MK Lounge is a ktown staple! If youve never been there, you didnt really go to ktown. If Jason is working, youre in for a treat. Ask him to sing you a song!
Horrible experience. Couldn’t stay longer than a minute. Wouldn’t go there ever again or recommend. Manager wouldn’t even give us her name to complain lol.
Great place for corporate events, birthday parties, or any kind of event/parties!! Great atmosphere, great music/live DJ, and drinks! Make sure to make a reservation a day in advance to guarantee your spot if you plan to go on the weekends!
Your typical karaoke joint. Dark with cheap beer and food. But lots of fun of course. Has a decent selection of music from the USA and UK. They also have song selection lists by artist, which makes it easy for the westerners.
MK karaoke is the best place in K-town. I love they offer very nice service and take care of us. I also like high quality sound system in the room and outside music is also very trendy. I had a really nice time! So~~~~cool!!!!
Amazing song selection and service. My only complaint is that they sometimes have a DJ start playing loud music in the dance area. A lot of the noise bleeds into the karaoke rooms and makes it hard to hear the karaoke.
Great place to go dancing. Disappointed in New Yorkers as they dont play K-pop regularly to keep all the gringos happy.
Whatever you do, do not go here. It’s over priced, run down, and the staff are incredibly rude. Just wanted to have a fun girls night on our vacation but it was completely ruined.
Could you tell me if I forgot yesterday please my jacket in the place is pink maybe in the singing room or in the bathroom thank you very much ! I can pass today for it ! Thanks could you save for me today thanks 😊 is very special for me 💕 is color pinkNice place :) 10/10
Had most amazing birthday party at MK! This is the most fun place in K town for sure and Im definitely gonna come back🔥. Highly recommend!
My first karaoke! Had an amazing night here. Decent atmosphere, a bar, and friendly staff. Karaoke rooms are nice and offer good privacy of youre a terrible at singing like myself.
Same review as what some others have posted..wait staff definitely hassles you to buy more drinks..Karaoke rooms are fun - its obviously fun to do that in big groups.....but need to fix the money grab problem as there are more than a few alternatives in the vicinity
Save yourself time and read all the 1 star review. We experienced those things too. Dont go here!!!
Excellent karaoke bar and lounge. Service is great, good vibes, would highly recommend for your next karaoke party or to just grab drinks after work.
I had a very good time with my people . Maddddd fun . They have live DJ on weekends with private karaoke rooms surrounding the floor. Highly recommend visting here
What a lively place! Nice mood lighting, extremely loud and a bit difficult to find the karaoke singers. I am here now and figuring it out. Will get back to you in a little bit.
Great selection of songs. Bit expensive compared to places outside the city but is still worth the price. Dont recommend the food but the drinks are good
They used to be open all night or at least a lot later before.. Things have changed since Covid
Always a fun time at mk. Down to earth, anyone can come. Bartenders are always nice.
Club space is good. But Karaoke isnt good. If you wanna go to Karaoke, you should go to other Karaoke.
Terrible terrible customer service and experience. Such odd service and so many better options. Would never recommend or go back here
Literally the best place in nyc
Great place to work for.I am always treated well. For K-Town and the club scene???This is one of many in K-Town to experience.
Pretty good selection and comfortable room, but the interface for choosing songs could be better. The food is very mehThe sound quality is also pretty bad
Lots of rooms and the platform has a good music interface. Drinks, service are on par. All round good place for some karaoke action.
Really nice rooms. Unlike other karaokes, it very clean and with a great, modern decor. The equipment was pretty good too.
So bad I walk out the Bartender dont even work because tip is included on the bill
Clubbing just outside your karaoke rooms. It is amazing experience with coworkers as a spontaneous party.
XT was so excellent¡¡
I always try to avoid this place as a Korean American, but it is impossible because somehow somebody you know magnetizes you here. Nothing against the place just trying to be different, but alas this place is just too culturally significant lol
Absolutely horrible customer service. Told my there was a room charge of $100 when the website says $80. Do not go here.. its not worth the trouble
Good music but a bit tight for a bar. Id go again though.
A little pricey and the nachos were all crumbs. Pretty decent song selection. Floor was sticky.
Fun locations small but still felt really great to be there
THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I GUESS I ASKED TO MUCH QUESTIONS AND THE MANAGER DIDNT LIKE IT SO HE WAS THREWING US OUT IF THIS WAS YOUR FIRST TIME HOW YOU DONT WANT TO EXPLAIN TO US HOW THIS WORK THE MANGER IS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL
Friday and Saturday Resident DJ Sanchez and company are close friends of mine. Great place to bring your friends for drinks and good music late nights.
Best Kareokae bar Ive ever attended! Highly recommend! Staff was very accommodating and the setup is first class!
Great music/dj on Saturday night. Club/karaoke vibes and professional staff
Be sure to reserve your spot beforehand because it gets PACKED. Its one of the best places to kareoke.
Your typical karaoke place, which are always fun. Some downfalls were the lack of selection for current songs out and the remote controls were barely functional.
Incredible karaoke spot and service! Loved how they made our Bachelorette feel so special. Thank you MK karaoke!!
Always a pleasure to come here! Up to date system with the latest in song selection, great vibes and awesome music!
Great place for karaoke. One of the best spots in K-Town. Been there many times.
If you can find this place, you have done something right! What a Gem in the heart of K-town. Must go to for drinks and fun night of Karaoke.
Xt was so amazing
Best place to be at on weekends
Great place, private rooms but there repertoire is limited when it comes to Latino singers.
Amazing and i love their energy and they are so nice theu made my birthday so fun
Drinks was expensive but the atmosphere was Poppin went on Halloween
I had the most bizarre, alcohol-fueled insane time ever. It was perfect! DONT STOP BELIEVING
One of the pricier options out there but the venue is clean and well maintained. There was a 30 min wait @10PM on a Friday night.
Great place for group gatherings. If you can catch the live DJ, it enhances the experience
They have individual room for groups but the equipment was not working in a few of them. We were moved from room to room.
They barely have songs. And the book is only organized by the name of songs, not by the artists.
Well made websites I didnt lost it.Need info I recommend the websites first
Much smaller than the pics shows! Tight! Very expensive! They didnt even have RICE!Would never recommend!
Great selection!
Ask for the singers elixir it will make you sound like Beyonce
I cant sing but the bartenders treat me nice so I come back
Best karaoke spot in ktown. Private rooms and bar area with great music.
Lots of fun. Private large rooms available and a broad list of songs.
The best karaoke bar in the city good prices and great service
Had a great time, lovely people. Great attention and good food.
Great vibes and great music. Prices for the Karaoke booth are a steal!
Pretty cool place! The service was great and the location was pretty cool.
We had a great time!!! The private rooms were peefect!
Have to come back..It a vibe (even on a Wednesday) 🥰🥰
Always a place filled with great drinks, and fantastic music.
Fun karaoke lounge, and theres a bar and a little club feel outside of the rooms.
Missing many important English songs. No Spanish or Italian songs at all.
They take their minimums very seriously and will come in frequently to make sure you meet it
Come for a friends birthday or was awesome & everyone was so sweet 💗
Had fun with my friend here recently and planning to go back soon
Provides the perfect atmosphere for a perfect night of drinking and singing with the best of friends!
Lack of any current songs, jenky Korean system they got for entertaining the songs as well.
Decent karaoke with good promotions. The karaoke system is still outdated though
Bro, super expensive. 3hrs for 700 dollars 🤦♂️. not worth it.
So much fun, so clean and AC is KEY!!
My to go place on the weekend. I love it!!!
Dark, claustrophobic, loud. But perhaps thats what karaoke is all about.
Free entry…bomb music
I did not go to that floor, I was at a different office.
Good place to have fun & get smashed
The place is nice to visit Very friendly staff
They allow smoking In rooms which is illegal.
A typical ktown Karaoke. Better deals on weekdays
Very good service And the staff are very professional
Had a good time mingling with the people here.
Love this place, my favorite karaoke spot
Great place had a great time
This place literally threw a party for us
Univision 1982
We had a good time
Great fun
Great laughs for a group on friends
Had so much fun
Fun atmosphere, song selections
This was literally the worst place ever .
Limited dates for keeping liquors.
Youtube karaoke option ➕️💯
The alcohol was very cheap
Loved it!
Poor song selection
