Not your simple Massage.SB incorporates so much into her session that is truly something’s everyone needs to experience. I do massage therapy and also have had over 500 massages from all over the world. I did not expect to be blown away like this. Her transitions from sauna to treatment room was perfect. Her ability to incorporate various tools like the fascia blaster, cupping and essential oils was perfect and very technical. Traveled to the outer banks for our anniversary trip and decided to book a massage through our Inn (the Burrus House). We had no idea what to expect but were given a phone call with some information and appointment times. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the massages, my husband as a newbie, and myself as a seasoned pro. Not only was the experience comforting, professional and soothing, SB and I were able to talk about life, perspective and healing. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. This is such a cool new studio in the heart of downtown Norfolk! Its so beautiful and feels so calming inside! SB the owner is very welcoming and so incredibly kind and talented. SB has given me one of the best massages I’ve had. I do a lot of upper body workout and always have tight shoulders and lats and she has always worked with me to get those muscles worked out. She has so many tips and tricks to help you be a better you and feel good. I love how the space is very open and feels welcoming from the moment you walk through the doors. I have been struggling with physical and mental health issues for a while and had been going to doctors for these aches and pains. After many weeks of PT, RX changes, injections, and going back and forth to the lab for blood work. I told myself enough is enough!!!!!! My friends and coworkers finally convinced me to go to a massage therapist. I searched Google and found GypSea Roots Collective, made an appointment. My first visit, SB and I talked over tea about my concerns and questions before starting. After receiving my massage and some instructions on a few yoga poses to start off with, I viewed her lil shop. After purchasing a a beverage called Hiyo, a jar of sugar scrub and an essential oil. I left her beautiful studio feeling completely satisfied. SB is very professional, extremely knowledgeable in all the fields listed on this Google site. The entire experience, from the time I walked in until the time I walked out, was amazing! The energy and atmosphere was calming and soothing, and SB was so kind, patient, and attentive to what was going on in my body. She used techniques I have never experienced before, and that I have been needing for a long time. Six stars out of five. I will be back soon!
