New Karibbean City

I went to see a live performance and no one greeted me. I tried to order but I was ignored. Sitting there in bordem I finally managed to flag someone down. The aggressive security guard said that the band I was waiting for wasnt performing despite them being on the flyer. They seem to not do good in the local community if they cant keep their shows together

The people that cook here needs to do better and keep it clean I’d hope she have a good Handlers permit . She be letting people chill in the kitchen while she cooking with no hair nets , people be getting dressed near the kitchen , scratching touching everything pre cooking food at home then re heating it if I find out who she is I’ll report her so everyone can get their money back it’s embarrassing, the bathrooms are always dirty no tissue

Insomnia Nightclub aka New Karibbean City is a horrible spot. I went and saw Gyptian (reggae artists) play on Friday, December 23, 2022. This was the worst show I have ever been to in 25 years of listening to reggae. He came on at 1:33am and left the stage at 1:53am. He sang for 20 minutes. They charged us $40 a ticket. That is $2 a minute, lol, smh. The sound system was so incredibly bad (microphones didn’t work and speakers were blown out). This place sucked!!! Don’t go here if you are expecting a good show. Save your money for another venue.

Absolutely dead on a Saturday cant believe it! Feel sorry if anyone paid to get in, gotta do more with promotion. No comparison at all to back home in London. Staff were great, drinks were good and DJ was fire. Waste of a good space.

It is dirty the bathrooms never have toilet paper or soap. There drinks are strong thats the only good thing. Its ran down and needs alot of work. Before I go back San Jose has way better night life.

I always have fun here! On first Fridays it is $1 before 11pm. Or is it 12am. Its a blast. All types of People from all walks off life. It stays open till 4am. It has bottle and vip service. Great lights. Good people. Great fun!#LanaLarue

The place is nice but the people who work here are very rude. We decided to stop by on a Saturday night. I nice gentleman outside let us know they dont allow hats but we could check them in. So when we passed through the metal detector the man said we would have to leave our hat. We complied and gave him the hats. He put them in a grocery bag full of hats. I asked him how we could get them back after. If there was a ticket he could give us. He snapped at me and said, didnt I just tell you you could get it back after. I said excuse me but I just wanted to know how. He disregarded me and moved on to the next person. My friend said that it didnt matter and they could keep the hat. As we walk up the stairs I go by the entrance and the man sitting on the stool points to his wrist I look at him confused, he pointed to his wrist again irritated. Than my friend shows me the window I didnt see where we pay. Than we go in and order drinks the bartenders were all very rude and short. The restrooms lacked seat covers and papertowels. After dancing for a bit my friend and I go to buy a red bull and vodka and a water bottle. The bartender says we only doing shots. So I said could I just buy a waterbottle instead. She snapped at me and screamed I said only shots. This place really needs to hire better employees or retrain them. They cannot talk down to paying customers like that. Lots of peopleby the bar were talking about the rude bartenders. We were all so irritated after we just left.

This is supposed to be a STRAIGHT CLUB,but be prepared,because it stays open until 4 am,there are a large amount of the Lesbian community that frequents there. Any heterosexual man,if you want a dance partner,bring a date ! The male bathroom reminds one of an elementary school reatroom-copious amounts of urine on the floor,and on the seat of the commode. Security Staff upstairs were not enforcing people to cease from smoking cigarettes,and Marijuana. Dress code was told to me over the phone and upon arrival,pants of male clients were sagging showing their underwear. T-shirts and athletic shoes were the norm......

Gyptian was the reason I went because we bought advanced VIP tickets. His show is always spectacular anyhow, but Id honestly never go again. The place was FILTHY and full of drunk lesbians and people snorting coke, Im not even joking because I wiped coke off of one of the girls. There was a large fan headed toward what Im going to assume was an alternate exit or basement and the thing was covered in what had to be years worth of cobwebs. DJ Young Fiyah is supposed to be a headliner but he plays for himself. Who place a bunch of badman chunes and top 40 OVER AND OVER to a crowd full of women? He literally had us standing there, not even joking we all looked at each other and literally no one was dancing. Know your crowd. I had high expectations being that it has high ratings but this was my worst dance experience ever. Im sorely dissapointed. Ive worked with DJs on the east coast for years and if they saw this they would be embarrassed. Never again!

The Best Jamaican and Afro Caribbean food in the East Bay hands down. I go here at least once a week because their food is consistent, fresh, and top grade quality. Love Love Love ❤️❤️❤️

Love to hang out here whenever I visit Oakland , but the security staffs needs more customer care and good training, well guess they are feeding from the less friendly environment theyre in. But hay its still a cool spot to hang out

The DJ was on fire Friday Night! Smooth mix from RnB, Hip Hop, Rap, House.... Large floor, mixed crowd, easy access bar.

This is the place to be this is one of my favorite night clubs I enjoy every moment of it you can catch me there damn near every weekend

The food is excellent. The brown chicken is my favorite. The best Jamaican food out here.

The best club in Oakland its safe its fun and you will enjoy yourself so go check it out.
