Malai Thai Massage - Oakland

I found this place on Yelp. I wanted to bring my mom to a massage place that weve never tried before for her 64th birthday. This place had 5 stars. It was super easy and straightforward to book an appointment for the 120 min Thai Massage Healing. When we arrived 10 minutes early, we were greeted by the worker. The waiting area was so beautifully put together, it felt very zen and clean. We were given slippers and filled out a chart where we filled out basic info. They also had an anatomy chart where you circle areas you want the masseuse to focus on. We were brought to our rooms within a few minutes, and room was also cute and clean. The bed was warm with heated blankets. The masseuses were gentle, kind, reassuring and really did focus on the areas we circled on the chart. Once we were done we hung out in the waiting area. My mom and I loved this placed, we will definitely come back! Highly recommend.

While the outside appears a little dated, the interior is a calming oasis. The waiting area is clean and has a tranquil zen atmosphere.Personalized Attention: Before the massage, I was provided with slippers and a detailed form. I appreciated them asking about any physical issues and areas needing extra focus.A Phuket Paradise: I opted for their hour-long combo massage, and it felt like I was transported back to a luxurious spa in Phuket! My therapist used a combination of techniques, including deep tissue work and invigorating stretches. They were attentive throughout, checking pressure regularly and adjusting when needed.Relief and Rejuvenation: Leaving the massage, I felt like a new person. My hangover had vanished, and my lower back felt loose and relieved - a far cry from the tight knot it was before!

I did the 90min Thai Deep Tissue Massage with hot stones with Brenna and it was amazing. Since it was my first time there, I indicated on a form the areas in my body I wanted extra attention paid. During the massage, the pressure was perfect throughout. I felt SO relaxed.Everything smelled great, it looked great, the environment was very relaxing and the customer service was great. I didnt really hear any traffic or anything outside most of the time. Maybe a loud motorbike once the entire time.I cant wait to go back and book with her. Its many hours later and I still feel excellent.

I just got the Thai combo massage from Emma and it was heavenly. Its full body and they even walk on your back. They are very friendly and accommodating, and you come out extremely relaxed. I highly recommend this spa!!

They were so flexible and kind when I scheduled my appointment for the wrong day. My massage was amazing, great price and needed. Will be coming back monthly.

Wow, wow, wow, I love this place! I have been for at least three massages now and I fall in love every time. I love everything about Thai massage. Especially when they get in there deep while walking on me and the stretching pretzel things that they do oh so well!! There may be a little bit of a language barrier depending on who you get so be patient and communicative. This is going to be my go to self care spot.

These guys are great! Massage is fantastic, and the owner is a really great guy. My bike tire unfortunately got stolen outside while i was at my massage, and he offered to drive me and my bike to a nearby bike shop to get it replaced.Aside from that genuine gesture, they have a great atmosphere and the massage therapists are really attentive to pressure adjustments and focus areas. This is definitely my new local spot!

Horrible experience here. When I arrived, they asked me to fill out a form and I indicated that I had had a gall bladder surgery almost 3 months ago. After getting undressed and laying on the bed waiting for 30 minutes, the masseuse came in and said she would not apply deep pressure to my back, which is where I needed massage the most. I shared that I’ve had about 15 deep massages since my procedure and also shared with them medical literature from Mayo and Johns Hopkins that says that there are no restrictions after 6 weeks and that massage is actually good for healing and scar tissue. She said it is up to the massage therapist’s discretion, and she refused to work on my back. They aggressively told me this was “for my safety.” It is not for my safety for them to ignore the medical literature.

Absolutely recommend. Got the 120min Thai yoga massage with hot jade and yoga. I stretch at home and use my body for work but this was a needed reset. Recommend you give it a try

I woke up this morning with no pain on my shoulder, I feel great. I got the Malai Thai combination - Thai Massage and Deep Tissue Massage.The massage therapist addressed not only the entire body but my specific concern of muscle stiffness, using Herbal Balm.

I am so happy I found this hidden gem. The space is gorgeous and very calming. My masseuse was Alley and she was fantastic! She was very intutive and took her time which I really appreciated. This is definitely my new spot and Im very thankful for genuine healing practitioners 🙏🏼

I rarely do online reviews. However, since I’m always on the road and have a stiff neck from a previous car accident, I’m very picky who I allowed to work on my sore body parts.Malai Thai Massage offered serenity when you first walk in. My therapist gave me perfect pressure. The room was clean quiet and I think I fell asleep.Booking another massage before I leave this city.

Great message and technique. No oils used which I prefer. Very deep tissue using multiple limbs. And they listen well.Only drawbacks are it’s not separate rooms but instead curtains, and you might hear a very loud truck or fire engine in the event one was close by.

Probably one of the best massages I’ve ever received. Emma made sure to ask how the pressure was, if I was comfortable, and the screening prior to the massage allowed her to pin-point my most painful areas to focus on.

I just been for full body massage and what they told me on the phone and I didn’t get it. The oil that massager use in my body should be almost dry when she done with massage, but it was left like a water it means it was not a good massage. Not a good experience.
