Ocean Spa Massage

I had an excellent massage today with Amy. I am very happy with the service there.All of the employees are beautiful and give excellent massages. They are very knowledgeable about a persons body, and they know how to massage all of the right areas. I get massages there frequently to try and help with my body aches and pains.

I am a cyclist and was cramping from my workout. I needed massage targeted specifically for the legs, calves and lower back. Jessica was the massage therapist and she worked on the areas most needed and overall as well. I was able to tell her to increase or decrease the pressure as needed. I had arrived right after my bicycle ride and I was able to use their shower before the massage. Jessica is a very attentive therapist who listens to you and responds to specific areas.

Our experiences today isnt worth one star. My sister and I visited this place, but unfortunately, our experiences were disappointing and far from what we expected, especially considering it wasnt even a proper massage. From the moment we arrived, we felt rushed to make decisions about the duration, number of rooms, and type of massage. There was a lengthy argument between two women, delaying our session for over 20 minutes. Despite our preference for a shared room, they insisted on separate ones.During the massage, I repeatedly requested firmer pressure due to tension in my back and shoulders, but the woman seemed indifferent and continued showering me with so much oil and without adequate pressure. Despite my discomfort, she didnt adjust her technique. As a result, I left feeling unsatisfied and still in pain. Nevertheless, she used a barely warm towel to wipe the oil from my body, leaving me feeling uncomfortably cold. Additionally, she repeatedly interrupted the session to call other women to adjust the music or for whatever reason. Intrusively, she delved into personal questions about my marital status, children, and job type and asked me 3 times during the session.To add insult to injury, when it came time to leave, the she demanded an unreasonable tip, and when I requested change for a $20 bill so she can take $10, she returned only $5. It was a similar experience for my sister, who was also pressured for more money and she had bad massage as well.Leaving the establishment, we felt upset and cheated out of our money. I feel compelled to share our experience to warn others against falling victim to similar treatment. Its unfortunate that businesses like this take advantage of people, but I hope by sharing, others can avoid the same disappointment.

2-23-24 around 12:45pm-1pm. Been coming for almost 2 years. First time ever walking out before the massage even started. Lili with the white dress is a pretty negative person that likes to make a lot of poor comments. What a horrible experience. Ill think twice about coming back. Probably not for a long time.

Amy is a amazing person went above and beyond her job she talked to me and made me feel comfortable. She actually cares about her job. I give her a 5 star review and appreciate her helping me be able to relax. I have a hard labor labor job and I was able to relax my muscles after my visit.

It is where you need to go if you have some knots to work out.I had 60 minute Thai massage from Summer and it was wonderful. She was communicative about whether the pressure was ok.She listened to my needs and worked accordingly.Amazing massage for your money,I will be back again!

Jessica was awesome and did exactly what I wanted! She had such strong hands and really made me feel great! I plan on going back!

Had a great time with friends at this place. The atmosphere was perfect, and the staff was friendly. We all had a relaxing experience, and its definitely deserving of a generous tip. Ideal spot for a good time with friends. Definitely coming back.

I went here as I need very intense deep tissue massage my therapist was one of the best I have ever experienced. I will go back every week. I have a $40 tip as it was really worth the great massage.

This is by far the best massage place I have been. The hot stone therapy with Jessica was amazing. The place was clean, room temperature was very conducive and staff were very nice and welcoming. I will definitely come back next time.

There are many spas in this area, but I decided to try this one. Great decision! I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the massage. The establishment was clean, orderly and friendly. This is now my go to spa and I highly recommend it.

Grace is wonderful and very experienced. She was trained in China by medical experts. You will be refreshed and pleased.

This was hands down the best massage I have ever had. I just had a wonderful one hour massage with Jessica. I told her about my back problems and she was careful not to massage lower back to hard. She focused on my sacroiliac joint on the right side where I need surgery. Jessica also gave me a soft face massage that was fabulous!Everyone is very polite and the room cool and very clean. April is a magician...I was out of shoulder neck pain in less than 10minutes! The rest of the treatment was pure relaxing wellness care. Ill be back!

This was by far one of the best massages I have had. Ella did a fantastic job of releasing the ropes I get in my back, not just tight muscles but ropes and they are painful to deal with. When I left I felt amazing! I’m from out of town however if I lived in Oceanside I would not go anywhere else for a massage! Thank you Ella!!

Worst massage ever.....i should have known by the initial pay first rule of the owner. Abrupt beginning, my massage kept getting interrupted, and the massage changed hands it seemed was twice during it. I couldnt tell what was the beginning or middle. Its as if they didnt want to touch you or they just did not know what they are doing. She was not trying to avoid my spine either and I was worried she was going to unjure me . I couldnt stand it anymore so I left within 30 min of a 60 min massage. I did not ask for my money back I was so disgusted I just left.....beware this is san diego. Theres tons of better places with 300% better service.

Im an avid golfer and play 2-3 times a week!! After a Bad day on the course with pains in my neck, shoulders and low back I contacted Ocean Spa Massage on my drive home!! They were able to get me right in and connected me with Coco!! She was Amazing to say the least!! She was able to re leave my stiff muscle strains in the areas that bothered me, and after 1 hour I felt as if I could go out and play another 18!! Thank you Ocean Spa for getting me in on such short notice and Thank You to Coco for the Awesome Job!!

Absolutely amazing!!! Clean, nice and professional! My first massage since the pandemic started 2 years ago and will absolutely be returning! Great combination of eastern and western style massage that knocked all my knots out and even made me fall asleep at one point because I was so relaxed!

I have been to this massage parlor a hand full of times. The first time was horrendous, but I decided to give it another try after a closure and a an office move, I thought maybe it was under new management... my second through fourth massages were incredible, deep tissue, very well done. However, after this last time Im not sure I will go back. The quality is inconsistent, I called before hand to schedule an hour long deep tissue, got there and was told they didnt have time for an hour but rather a 30 min, which was fine. I just needed the knots in my shoulder rubbed out and my lower back rubbed (not difficult) I am young with no issues. I asked the poor pregnant woman multiple times to go harder as it was literally just lotion being rubbed on my back, no massage what so ever. Finally, I stopped her and asked her if she was capable of deep tissue, she said she couldnt. I told her I had been a handful of times before and it was never an issue and I called ahead of time to book deep tissue. None the less, this time sucked and I was literally laying on the table in my underwear as they never covered me up, to top it off, please notice the peep hole on the doors (literally right below the door knob) I covered it with a sticker, but really. This is sketchy and inconsistent. Super disappointed, they will hassle you everytime about a better tip too. If I am tipping you 20% even though you probably deserve 10% for a half fast job, do not hassle me for more- 20% is plenty, not to mention a tip should be up to the service provided not expected. I want to like this place so bad, but after having two horrible experiences and finding a peep hole I am not sure how this is okay. They have to remove the peep holes, provide consistent service and work to cover up customers (she left the door open behind her and told me to put my clothes on with the lights already on...huh).

Three days after COVID and I tested negative, the heel of my feet were really dry. I went to this location for their version of a foot detox; it was actually a foot salt bath. However, the masseus was so attentive to my feet and the needed restoration. She provided extra salt in the soak to ensure softness back to my feet. After the soak, she massaged my feet. It was so relaxing and just what the doctor ordered. After the massage, the masseus left my room, closed the door and just allowed me to relax and restore my body and feet.The masseus was so kind and professional. The salon is big with approximately six or seven private massage rooms with two tables in each room for couples massages if desired. The salon was very clean and smelled clean. A wonderful healing like atmosphere. I shall return for the Couples Massage.

My girlfriend and I stopped at this place after a long drive. The place is clean and seems pretty new, the towels smelled fresh and clean, the girls are friendly and professional, both of us got a deep tissue massage, which lightened up our days and relaxed our bodies. I was skeptical due to the negative reviews at the beginning; however, the experience is far better than expected. I don’t know why this place got many bad reviews which seem unfair. I used to work at restaurants; I know how much appreciation I got when my hard work was confirmed by generous tips. When people are unwilling or too cheap to give a reasonable tip, they shouldn’t go out to eat or receive service.

Legit the WORST place I’ve ever been!I laid down on the table and right in front of my view was a black rug and a white stain, looking like someone had a happy ending. I pushed the thought in the back of my mind and decided it was probably just oil.. that somehow turned white and crusted.But it didn’t get better. I was only covered with a towel and cold the entire time. Then she basically just rubbed oil on me. No massage what so ever! DO NOT GO if you want an actual massage. You WILL NOT TET IT!! I did 60 minutes.. but then determined i wasn’t walking out with the same feeling i came in with. So i asked for an extra 30 min with a deep tissue. WHAT I ACTUALLY got was a karate chop. And more rubbing. In the same circular motion. Then on top of that haggled me not once but TWICE for a better tip.My husband was with me and told me he had the same experience. We will never ever go there again and i will BET MONEY the other good reviews are from the people who got the happy endings... gross!!

Horrible experience. Kept lightly padding, pushing and shaking me. Barely touched my legs. Massage was interrupted 5 times in which she left the room for minutes at a time. 1 Hr massage turned in to 1 hr and 15 minute. So on and so on. Would take a couple of paragraph to list everything. Shame on me for not reading some of the reviews already posted. Dont waste your money or time.

Stopped in town to visit a friend decided to go for a nice massage before dinner and very happy to have stopped by. We hade a great experience at the Ocean Spa. The person that did my massage was very nice attitude and great at there job. The massage was very relaxing. defiantly going back when I am in town again.

My fiancé and I had an hour couples massage with Coco and April. Both were very professional and left us very relaxed. The experience was pleasant so we will definitely be back.

I have gone to this place several times. The place is very clean and staff is very nice and experienced. All my messages were very relaxing and effective. I went there couple times for my tight upper back and I really felt good after the 60 minuets message. Also went couple time after a long trip to just relax and it was fantastic. I like the attitude and kindness of the staff.

The massage was very disappointing, the person was rushing like it was a race to finish, not relaxing at all, the person kept going in and out when the phone would ring or door would open. I paid for foot refloxology and my barely got touched yet massaged. I was not going to tip at all, but on the way out the lady kept demanding me to tip trying to make me feel bad, because her sign said $10 minimum tip at the front. So I left because the service was terrible and by all means you dont demand tips because the job is hard work!!!! I have had many massages amd I know a good massage from a poor massage. This was absolutely terrible this place should be closed down.

I was really hurting and after an hour I was feeling like a new man. I never knew walking on my back would be so helpful in my recovery. Thanks April for suggesting this treatment for my back. I will recommend my friends to you and Ocean Spa Massage.

Terrible. Way over priced for what it feels like I got nothing done to me , I just got smothered in lotion , she didn’t even focus on any body points literally just put pressure on my body the whole time. Literally wasted my time and money on going here, along with my husband. We walked out more frustrated and more stressed out than when we did when we walking in. We were pressured to give a tip( I told her to keep the change 10$ , then asked my husband that he needed to tip to he didn’t care and said no) but save your $$ and go somewhere else where they actually care about making sure you’re relaxed and focus what’s bothering you instead of going to a Routine ( massage)

Got a combo massage. Supposed to be 1 hour, 15 minutes on the feet and 45 on the rest of the body. About 90% was spent standing on or hitting my back trying to force it to crack. Very uncomfortable. Then completely skipped the feet all together. She also randomly left the room to talk 6 times during the massage. Will never go back and would advise people stay away who actually know what a good massage is.

60 mins deep tissue for $60. Good price but they’re definitely not massage therapists. I know from previous massages that the harder they go on your muscles and the more uncomfortable it is the better you will feel afterwards from them releasing your muscles. My back has been in pain since I left. It feels bruised/inflamed. I would find another place to go, wish I had read the reviews.

Recently went to this place after a hard week of working out and needed some recovery time with a deep tissue massage. Paid for 60 mins of what I thought was going to be deep tissue. The masseuse walked in and asked if I wanted a med or strong deep tissue so I said strong as my threshold for pain is pretty high and I knew I had some deep knots in my back. Pretty much the entire “massage” if you’d like to call it that was spent lightly touching my body and moisturizing me. If you’re fresh out of the shower and out of lotion this would be the place to go. If you actually need work done I wouldn’t suggest going here. There was nothing deep about the massage at all. And you’re demanded to make a tip after the massage is done. A huge waste of time, money, and effort. Please look for a relaxing de-stressed massage therapy session else where. Not a fan at all !

I really dont want to write a bad review due to small business struggling right now but whatever you do stay away from this place. This by far the worst massage Ive ever had. Me trying to rub lotion on my back would have felt better.

The guy made me more sore but that’s not the problem. They were so rude. They charge you a minimum tip of 20% whether you want or not. I have been to way better message places than this.

I really wish I had read some of these reviews before I went to Ocean Spa massage today. I am pretty sure it is a rub and tug, I dont think I need to go into details but that was not what I was looking for. Sketchy, gross, just awful. Seriously, read these reviews and stay away!

Horrible. Paid 40 for 2 15 min massage for me and my friend they only did 10 mins on her and they literally followed us outside for us to give her and another lady each a $5 tip wouldn’t recommend them at all. Really bad service as well.

The worst message I have ever had. If you are feeling cold and want your skin warmed up and turned raw by incessant rubbing, please do pay a visit here. You will return a few degrees hotter and your skin scraped.
