I am in love with the perm I got working with Abbie, she is a BOSS. I have the virgin hair that has never been dyed or permed or anything other than the occasional curling iron, so going in for a perm at almost 40 was a bit nerve wracking -- but Abbie and Rayna (GM) were nothing but clear and professional, making sure that they understood my end-goal and that I was utilizing the services that would get me there. There was ZERO pressure to buy extras, do more treatments, look at excess products, etc.After the first treatment, my hair REFUSED to cooperate and it went back to straight (we understood this was a possibility at the beginning and planned accordingly, so it wasnt a surprise: I have a ton of hair and it doesnt hold curls easily 😅). Abbie and Rayna got me in again and the second time was the charm! I am SO thrilled and Im excited to go back for the cut and shaping.Pros: clean, airy, soothing-- everything you expect from Aveda branding, and when youre getting chemicals applied to your hair the breeze from the door is *especially* welcome! The stylists were professional, clear communicators, and Abbie especially took the time to explain the different steps and educate me on how to care for my newly wavy hair 🥰Cons: the drive. Im in Norman, but honestly? Im really glad I took the time to stick with a business I know and love even if it took driving up to the city to make it happen. Make a day of it if youre there-- there is a succulent/tropical plant greenhouse down the street, an oyster bar, and obviously the mall with other restaurants nearby.

Went in hoping to have a relaxing appt and come out feeling refreshed, especially after talking to the GM a few weeks prior, who scheduled me with the stylist. I left the salon with yellow and orange striped hair especially around the face. There are areas where the lightener wasn’t left on long enough, so there’s ash blonde poking through. In a pony tail, it’s even worse. It’s so striped that it looks like the face framing section was pulled through a cap. The lightened color was so harsh looking. My stylist was super nice but definitely said she wasn’t 100% with balayage. I should have got up at that point and walked out. When I got home the resounding feedback was that I look trashy. I’m sure the salon can fix it but not before I am in-front of company leaders in meetings all next week. After 3.5 hours I would have expected a little more. Waste of time and waste of money. I’ll never visit this salon again and sadly, I’ll find another one for my daughter. Really had expected a different experience since I spent a few hours there when my daughter got her hair cut.

Went and got my haircut yesterday by the talented Courtney!! She was very thoughtful and thorough, ensuring every hair on my head was exactly how I wanted it!! It was a luxurious experience, I walked out not only looking my best but feeling my best!!

Seryna brought my hair back to blonde and I love it. My natural color is light brown/dirty blonde, and the foil highlights were perfectly blended into my natural color. I also had a trim with some layers, and the cut is perfect. I had a great experience and would recommend Aveda Lion Salon at Classen Curve with Seryna.

Courtney is always SO WONDERFUL!!!! I trust her implicitly with my hair, and she never fails to go above and beyond. She is so incredibly knowledgeable about hair care, and she takes so much time to make sure that the experience is perfect. Everyone at Lion is so caring, welcoming, and professional. I truly enjoyed my experience at Lion Salon! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. This was my first time at the salon and my first time with Danielle. She was AMAZING!I found her via Instagram, reached out about the style I was looking for and she was super quick to respond! My hair was in disaster mode, from a failed color service and botched haircut at another salon, when I went to Lion Salon desperately looking for help. There, I met Danielle. Upon sitting in her chair, she took the time to guide me through a color correction plan, and through her gentle treatment, she redeemed my hair to its former glory. Danielle has a kind soul, and beyond that, she is a FANTASTIC stylist & colorist. After the treatment and excellent hair cut and blowout, I’m sold! My hair hasn’t looked better! Abby was our hair stylist and consultant. My daughter has naturally curly hair and hasn’t been to anyone that could advise her of ways not only to style it but also how to take care of it. Abby took her time, and talked us through what she was doing. She explained what was needed but I was most impressed that she didn’t try to sell us on something we didn’t need. Though I will admit the cost was a little bit more than what I have generally been paying. However, for the service it was well worth it. Proves to say….you get what u pay for! Also one thing more that I want to mention is that my daughter was concerned about having to go short to repair her damaged ends. Abby was very considerate in my daughter’s concerns. That is very important to me. She continued to show support by asking my daughter before cutting, if it was too much. We both loved Abby and will follow her anywhere! She was absolutely terrific! The salon was very clean and everyone was friendly. The environment was peaceful. We felt comfortable.

Door was locked at like 5:30 and I saw a woman stop cleaning and go hide. Then this same lady came out to make sure it was locked while I was standing there 💀okUpdate: never in my life have I heard anyone needing an appointment to shop in retail. If you’re gonna lock the door 30 mins before close then just close at 5:30. No reason to pretend I’m at fault for being confused at the door being closed before closing time 🫶🏽

Courtney is beyond amazing! I needed a color correction from another salon . I was truly amazed how attentive Courtney was to my concerns and she had the knowledge and experience to get my hair looking beautiful again. She is now my new hair stylist and I couldnt be in better hands. If you want a hair stylist that is compassionate ,experienced, knowledgeable ,professional and personable you need to go see Courtney! Morgan has been my stylist for nearly a year and it is always such a positive experience! The whole staff at Lion Salon is incredibly friendly and the salon is so trendy and clean inside, which makes it a great environment. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone in the OKC-Norman area!

There are so many things to love about this salon. From the beautiful warm feel of the salon to the amazing staff. They are all so friendly. Most important is Seryna my stylist who always makes me feel like a million dollars!

Ive kept a pixie cut off and on for years and recently started fantasizing about going ultra-short. I knew Seryna was a barber as well as a cosmetologist so I went to see her. It was fascinating to watch her skill with the clippers but at the same time, she was so gentle and steady I zoned out a few times. I knew she was working on something special at my nape hairline but she didnt tell and I didnt ask. I like surprises. When she was finished I had a tight, precise and smooth fade and just the kah-yoot-est design and reshaped hairline in the back! Im excited to go back and see what she does next.The salon is spacious, bright, airy and clean. Everyone there (and at Lion Norman) has always been welcoming, attentive and professional. The stylists always appear to be totally focused on the person in their chair and Ive never experienced that thing that so many stylists do at other salons where they have a personal conversation as if they were just kneading dough together in the back of a bakery but are actually shouting to each other several feet apart while moving super sharp scissors around human heads. In fact, Im having a hard time recalling any other salon Ive been in that was as professional and committed. I believe at either location (OKC or Norman), any stylist on any given day will make you feel valued, taken care of and looking dead sexy.

Its always a pleasure to visit Lion Salon and Spa in Norman, Oklahoma. I am always greeted by friendly faces for a quick check in and am offered lovely fruit infused water or the beverage of my choice. Shayla is my hair care professional who colors, cuts and styles my hair. She carefully assesses my hair and asks me about my previous cut and style. We then go from there about any changes I might want to make if any. I feel like she listens to my concerns and works to address them. I have also noticed that all of the stylists seem very attentive to their clients as well. I LOVE the hair wash station which allows me to recline and rest my neck on the bowl very comfortably. It is a wonderful spa experience. I love Aveda products as well. It is a sensory experience like no other. Lion Salon is also a perfect location for me. I am hoping other shops will be joining the shopping center soon.

Where do I even start, Danielle was one of the most incredible stylists I have ever had the pleasure of sitting in her chair. Right off the bat she was warm and welcoming and made me feel right at home, I am always nervous when allowing someone new to cut my hair which is pretty curly, Danielle explained everything she was going to do and even spoke back to me about things I didn’t like or was concerned about, she was very thorough in making sure she was understanding me and I was understanding her. I have never had a stylist take so much time to make me feel really confident about the service I was about to receive. She also gave great aftercare advice as far as styling my new cut, and recommend a product( that I’m now obsessed with) for my curls. I left feeling beautiful inside and out and felt like I connected and made a new friend that day, Danielle is a passionate stylist who makes hair dreams come true. Thank you Danielle for truly blowing all expectations out of the water. I look forward to seeing you again.

Love Lion Salon!Consistent friendliness throughout all the staff from front desk to stylist to spa.I always appreciate how the stylist assesses my needs each appointment.When my regular stylist was on a break, I had the fortune of having other stylists, and found them all to be uniquely gifted.And, Aveda products are simply the best. My hair has never looked better.

I have thick, curly hair and made an appointment with Chelsea for a haircut that would compliment my curls. Chelsea did such a good job, I made a second appointment. My second appointment was for a dry cut to see how my curls fall/lay when dry. Once again, I got excellent results. I am now on my third appointment. Both Chelsea and the Lions Salon staff are professional, friendly, and offer a variety of Aveda products. I highly recommend Lions Salon, especially if you are looking for a hair stylist to shape your curls.

These girls know how to cut hair. They are sweet and on time. They sell Aveda too!!

I was just passing through Oklahoma and needed to get a haircut. Shayla was wonderful! She did a great job with the cut and gave very helpful information on the products that would work best for me. Glad I found this salon.

Danielle has cut and colored my hair a couple of times and she does a phenomenal job. She was able to take my vague idea of what I wanted and turn my hair into a masterpiece. I have long hair and usually get partial highlights and a cut. I’ve never been disappointed!

Got my eyebrows waxed by Chloe, who was very professional and did a fantastic job. Then got my hair cut and colored by Danielle, who also was professional and gave me a fabulous cut and color. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Ive used Aveda products for over thirty years and bought some new items not on my radar, and I love them!

The bond repair treatment makes an insane difference! They have stylists knowledgeable on curls & its a pretty luxurious experience!! Drastic improvement in the quality of my hair since I started seeing Chelsea

Had a haircut with Danielle. She’s so sweet and listened to all my concerns. Love the haircut. Even my husband noticed my hair lol. Will definitely return. One word of caution, there is a an extra charge for use of hot tools, which I was not made aware of till I got to the checkout. But other than that, the visit went great. They also sell Aveda products which is one of my favorite hair care line.

Danielle has cut my hair for years, and every single time it’s perfect. Easily the best haircut I’ve ever had. She always knows exactly what’s going to look good, and I feel like she listens to what I want and my opinions. You really can’t go wrong.

I have been letting morgan do my hair since the start of her hair stylist journey. she is the only person that I trust doing my hair, I even let her do what she wants and try new things. it always comes out better than I ever imagined. I love lion salon too and so happy she is there. I drive almost 2 hours to go there. they are so nice!!! I tell everyone I know to come here and to go see my girl morgan

I went for highlights and a base touch up. When the stylist was done I told her I was not happy because she covered all the highlights on the sides. There were no highlights at the roots and there was still grey. She just told me she didnt know how long to process me, she left it in for 20 minutes but will leave it in longer next time and will put more highlights next time. They charged me $206! Then, she didnt even know how style my hair when she blew my hair out! I walked out looking awful!I part my hair either way, so my stylist in Atlanta at Van Michaels does an even number of highlights on either side and in the middle and a lot of them, all she had to do is follow the pattern!When I got back to my hotel I noticed right side also didnt have highlights just base color. This was all on Saturday.Then, Monday after I washed my hair and was blow drying it I noticed at the base of the of head none of the grey was covered on either side! I had to wait until Tuesday to call to speak to a manager. I told her, I believe her name was Morgan or Nicole. I offered to come in to show her what I was talking about and she said it was not necessary and she would talk to the owner and they would call me back. I didnt hear from anyone for 6 hrs so I called back. The front desk person called the manager and said I would have to come in on Thursday at 7pm for an assessment with the Manager. Now, Im being inconvenienced when I work 10hr days when no one bothered to call me back and have to walk around with an awful color and highlighting job for a couple more days! I dont know how Aveda is associated with this salon! I just want my money back so I can a real stylist fix it!

I loved my experience here!! Morgan made me feel so secure when doing my hair. She created an actual masterpiece and I can’t thank her enough. If you ever have the chance to go by this salon make sure to book with Morgan Yates! She is a true gem.

I have never cried at a hair salon until now. I will never go back. I thought because of the reviews it would be great and I just needed a simple cut of a few inches. This stylist kept cutting my hair uneven on one side and when she would go to fix it, she would mess up the other side. She did this 5 times!!!!! Causing it to go shorter by an inch or two each time. She messed up so bad on the last time that another stylist had to come fix it and the other stylist made it worse and more uneven than before!!! They had to get a third stylist to try to help fix my hair. I left with hair 5 inches shorter than planned. It was above my shoulders and to make matters worse, the inside layer of my hair in the front is about two inches shorter than the rest due the error of the first stylist. Totally screwed up my hair.DO NOT GO HERE!!

Wow. This salon is incredibly beautiful and my stylist, Danielle, was amazing. She took her time to really understand what I was looking for. She is so professional and skilled. I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back.

I had a fantastic time getting my hair highlighted. I have long hair that is very thick and getting highlights can take a long time if a stylist is not prepared. My service only took 2.5 hours, was very pleasant and my hair looks so natural and fresh. I can’t wait to go back. The cost of my service was definitely indicative of the skill and talent of the professionals in the salon.

Jenny was AWESOME!! She was informative and took the time to explain my hair process. I received a REALLY BAD cut and color at another salon. Jenny did amazing with fixing and changing what I had to work with, and setting up a plan for when my hair is healthier to take me back to platinum.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the 2 people I interacted with were polite and all of the extras you get were great. But the haircut was disappointing and I left unsatisfied.I went in the salon 2 weeks ago to make a donation haircut. When I called to make the appointment back in April I was offered a stylist or a master stylist I believe. I said I wanted to make a donation cut and just have some layers added in, and I was assured the stylist would be able to handle my request as she had done several donation cuts previously.Let me make it clear that the stylist was more than nice, as was the gentleman who welcomed me into the salon. I had a great experience with everything except for my final cut. I told the stylist there were only 2 things I did not want, a bob (or lob) and for my length to be at my shoulders. And I ended up with a lob that sits at my shoulders. The bottom of my hair is not even and the only layer I can see doesnt go all the way through my hair and is also not even. I have had several people point out that the cut isnt even and its weird how the bulk of my hair just stacks up on my neck.I waited a week before contacting the salon to find out how to rectify the situation from their contact page and it has been a little over a week with no response. No email, no phone call, nothing. That is why I waited to post my review. So while it was a nice experience for the most part, I left with a cut that I did not ask for and wasnt finished properly.

SERYNA VEGA NAILED IT! It was my first time to get a haircut from her. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted, even though my hair is way to fine and soft to style like the photo, but I like the cut, and she NAILED IT! I dont have to cut my hair often, but ONLY an AVEDA SALON cuts my difficult tresses! I use and recommend AVEDA products to everyone. Monroe Salon and Spa has the products in stock and is always helpful when I have questions. Monroe Salon is the BEST!!!

I love how Danielle does my blonde coloring and my haircut. I have very straight hair and have always had issues with a precision cut and color that blends, but Danielle crushed the game and gave me a serious glow up! She’s just the best!

Really great overall experience and cut by Maylin! She asked me a lot of questions along the way and educated about how to style my hair type. I feel like I learned a lot and walked away with very healthy hair, with a cut that actually works for my lifestyle. Would recommend!

The entire staff at MONROE SALON is outstanding in what they do! Their fabulous AVEDA products are available. All of the stylists are talented and do beautiful work. The stylists whove helped 2 family members and me, utilize multiple techniques to achieve the cuts, treatments and finishing desired. MONROE SALON is in the upscale Classen Curve area of Oklahoma City. The salon architecture and decor are contemporary and clean with lots of natural light from the walls of impressive windows, creating a fresh and calm atmosphere. We could not be happier with MONROE SALON!!!

Danielle is always professional and listens to all my hair needs! She’s an expert with her shears and I always love leaving with the best haircut for ME!

Rachel did an awesome job on my cut and style today! Although the price was $50 in the online booking website and confirmation e-mail, I was asked to pay $55 at the checkout. I think there is a typo in their online booking system. ---> please add the difference to my tip for Rachel, instead of a refund.

I left the salon after 4 hours with blue/green tinted hair (it was supposed to be blonde), uneven face-framing layers, and roots that look the same - all of this the day before Christmas Eve. I got my hair done so I could look great for the holidays, not so the gray-tinted toner (which she told be about only after applying it) would fade in a week. Worst experience I have ever had.
